Psalm 91
“I and (names of family and loved ones) sit enthroned under the shadow of El-Shaddai. We are hidden in the strength of Yehovah Most High. You, Yehovah are the hope that holds us and the Stronghold to shelter us, the only God for us, and our great confidence. You will rescue us from every hidden trap of the enemy, and You will protect us from false accusation and any deadly curse. Your massive arms are wrapped around us, protecting us. We can run under Your covering of majesty and hide. Your arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping us from harm. We will never worry about an attack of demonic forces at night nor have to fear a spirit of darkness coming against us. We don’t fear a thing! Whether by night or by day, demonic danger will not trouble us, nor will the powers of evil launched against us. Even in a time of disaster, with thousands and thousands being killed, we will remain unscathed and unharmed. We will be a spectator as the wicked perish in judgment, for they will be paid back for what they have done!”
“Because we live our lives within the shadow of Yehovah Most High, our Secret Hiding Place, we will always be shielded from harm. How then could evil prevail against us or disease infect us? You, Yehovah send Your angels with special orders to protect us wherever we go, defending us from all harm. If we walk into a trap, they will be there for us and keep us from stumbling. We will even walk unharmed among the fiercest powers of darkness, trampling every one of them beneath our feet.”
“You, Yehovah say to us that because we delight in You and love you, You will greatly protect us. You will set us in a high place, safe and secure before Your face. You, Yehovah will answer our cry for help every time we pray, and we will find and feel Your presence even in our time of pressure and trouble. You will be our glorious Hero and You give us a feast. We will be satisfied with a full life and with all that You do for us, for we will enjoy the fullness of Your salvation.”
Psalm 34:1-2, 4-10, 17-20, 22
“(Names of family and loved ones) and I will praise You, Adonai at all times. We will constantly speak Your praises! We will boast only in You; we who are helpless take heart. We prayed and cried out to You, Adonai in our distress and You answered us. You freed us from all our fears! As we look to You for help, join our lives with Yours, joy will come and our faces will glisten with glory. No shadow of shame will darken our faces. When we had nothing, desperate and defeated, we cried out to You, Adonai, and You heard us, and You saved us from all our troubles. Your angel stooped down to listen as we prayed, encircling us, empowering us, and showing us how to escape. You will do this for everyone who fears You. We taste and see that You, Adonai are good. We experience for ourselves the joyous mercies You give to us who turn to hide ourselves and take refuge in You. We fear You, Adonai. We worship in awe and wonder, for us who fear You will have all we need and feast with plenty. Even the strong and the wealthy[ grow weak and hungry, but us who passionately pursue You and trust in You will never lack any good thing. You hear us when we call to You for help. You rescue us from all our troubles. You are close to us when our hearts are crushed by pain, and You’re always ready to restore us when we truly repent. We may face many troubles, but You, Adonai come to the rescue each time. For You protect all our bones; not one of them is broken. But You have paid for our freedom and You will freely pardon us who love You. You will declare us free and innocent when we turn to hide ourselves in You.”
Psalm 121
“I and (names of family and loved ones) look up to the mountains and hills, realizing our help does not come from them. Our true help and protection come only from You, Yehovah, our Creator who made the heavens and the earth. You will guard and guide us, never letting us stumble or fall. You, Yehovah are our Keeper; You will never forget nor ignore us. You will never slumber nor sleep; You, Adonai are our Guardian and also for Your people, Israel. Yehovah, You will watch over us; You’re always at our side to shelter us safely in Your presence. You’re protecting us from all danger both day and night. You, Adonai will keep us from every form of evil or calamity as You continually watch over us. We are guarded by Yehovah, Himself. We will be safe when we leave our homes and safely we will return. You, Yehovah will protect us now, and You’ll protect us forevermore!”
Psalm 16:1-2, 5-11
“Protect and keep me and (names of family and loved ones) safe, Yehovah, for You are our Refuge, our Safe Place. You, Adonai are our Lord and Master; every good thing we have comes from You. You alone are our Inheritance, our Cup of Blessing, our Portion: You guard all that belongs to us. Your pleasant path leads us to pleasant places. We’re overwhelmed by the privileges that come with following You, for You have given us the best! The way You counsel and correct us makes us praise You more, for Your whispers in the night give us wisdom, showing us what to do next. Because You, Yehovah are always with us, You are close to us and always available, we will not be moved or shaken, for we experience Your wrap-around presence every moment. Our hearts and souls explode with joy—full of glory! Even our bodies will rest in safety, confident and secure. For You, Adonai will not abandon us or leave our souls among the dead nor will You let Your faithful ones rot in the grave. You, Adonai show us the way of life, granting us the joy of Your presence, and the pleasures of living with You forever.”
Psalm 23
“You, Adonai are (names of family and loved ones) and my Best Friend and our Shepherd. We always have more than enough. You, Yehovah Yireh, our Provider give a resting place for us in Your luxurious love. You lead us to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss. That’s where You restore strength and life back into us. You open before us pathways to Your pleasure and lead us along in Your footsteps of righteousness so that we can bring honor to Your name. Adonai, even when our path takes us through the valley of deepest darkness, we will not be afraid. Fear will never conquer us, for Your perfect love already has! You remain close to us and lead us through it all the way. Your authority, guidance and discipline give us strength and peace. The comfort of Your love takes away our fear. We’ll never be lonely, for You, Yehovah are always with us. You prepare a delicious feast for us even when we’re surrounded by our enemies. You, Yehovah anoint us with the fragrant oil of Your Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit); You give us all we can drink of You until our hearts overflow with Your blessings. We don’t fear the future for Your goodness and unfailing love pursue us all the days of our lives and we will live in Your house and presence forever!”
