Key Scripture for This Alert:
"Be merciful, O LORD, unto Thy people Israel, whom Thou hast redeemed, and lay not innocent blood unto Thy people of Israel’s charge. And the blood shall be forgiven them. So shalt thou put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the LORD." (Deut. 21:8-9 (KJV)
Opening Prayer
Father God in the name, blood and authority of Yeshua the Mashiach (Jesus the Christ), we repent for ourselves, our families, and the church in this nation that our laws have protected the shedding of innocent blood in our land. We repent the culture of death was given a legal right in our nation. We ask for the fullness of repentance to arise from Your church to break the legalized practices of abortion in heavenly places so our judicial system can legally set precedents for the restoration of a culture of life.
The Focus of this Alert
Repentance for the shedding of innocent blood ruling that resulted from the Roe and Doe v W SCOTUS case in 1973. This ruling has legally opened the doors to the death of millions of children.
The Names of the Nine Justices of the United States Supreme Court

Deut. 19:10 (KJV) That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee.
Deut. 21:8-9 (KJV) Be merciful, O LORD, unto Thy people Israel, whom Thou hast redeemed, and lay not innocent blood unto Thy people of Israel’s charge. And the blood shall be forgiven them. So shalt thou put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the LORD
  • Repentance for the shedding of innocent blood in our nation.
  • Prayer for mercy to the Church of Messiah that the blood guilt would not be on His people because of the blood atonement and the finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross
Repentance and prayer regarding the practice of legalized abortion.
Repentance and prayer regarding the practice of legalized abortion. May it no longer be protected by our judicial system.

Background Data: The Mississippi Case at the Supreme Court

Please note: in 10 days, the “Mississippi Law” (Dobbs v, Jackson Women’s Center) will be heard by The US Supreme Court. The day of the Oral Arguments in the Mississippi Ban on Late Term Abortion Case (Dobbs) will occur on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.

According to standard Supreme Court procedure, the attorneys for each side will have only 30 minutes to present their arguments. Hence, intensive prayer is needed
so that those 30 minutes for "our side" will make the difference for LIFE in our nation.

Lynne Fitch, the Attorney General of Mississippi, will argue for the Dobbs case. Pray she finds favor with the Court.

Here are the details:

Mississippi banned most abortions after 15 weeks.  This ban was blocked by the 5th US
Circuit Court of Appeals on the basis of a 1992 case, Planned Parenthood v. Casey which made it illegal to ban abortions before child becomes “viable.”   This case will present the opportunity to address the “viability” of the child and therefore possibly overturn Roe v. Wade.

Over 100 Amicus Briefs were filed in favor of overturning Roe v. Wade.  The other side has also filed over 100 Briefs.
Five Briefs Have Been Filed for the Pro-Life Case by the Justice Foundation
The Justice Foundation has filed five Briefs:

1) a Moral Outcry Brief which states that abortion kills human beings and is a crime against humanity.  It also includes the testimonies of over 2,000 women who have been hurt by abortion;
2)  A Brief with the testimonies of 375 women hurt by second and third semester late term abortions which includes graphic photos of baby body parts after abortions.
3) A Brief for the Jewish Pro-Life Foundation in support of the Mississippi law.
4)  A Brief on behalf of abortion survivors.  A group has formed called Created Equal, which includes people who have survived abortions and they tell their stories on their website.
5) A Brief on behalf of Hannah S., a former frozen embryo and her IVF parents John and Marlene S. in support of the Mississippi law.

WHY ARE THESE BRIEFS IMPORTANT?

These briefs are being read before the case is heard before the Court for many weeks. Hence, the time to pray that God's designated impact WILL touch each of the justice's hearts is NOW.
Prayer Requests for the Five Briefs
- Pray that the Arguments and the Briefs in favor of overturning Roe v Wade would overwhelm the arguments on the other side.  (That the Court would even recognize that abortion is not a “right,” and it is not in the Constitution.

- Please pray for those presenting the case, including Lynne Fitch, the Attorney General of Mississippi.

 -  Pray for Confusion in the enemy camp.

- Pray for everyone involved in the filings and presentations of this case, including the intercessors.

- Pray that each of these heartbreaking circumstances, outlined in the 5 briefs cited will impact the hearts of the Justices to rule righteously and will override and overrule all the arguments in the Briefs from the other side.  “Vengeance is Mine, says the LORD.”  We forgive them and place them in Your hands Father, for Your justice to prevail.

> > > Note: The other side has also filed over 100 Amicus Briefs.

A Special Prayer Request for Allan Parker
Allan Parker of the Justice Foundation has requested 5 minutes to address the Court on behalf of Hannah S.  Apparently, the other side was given an extra 5 minutes, so he took the opportunity to file for the extra time, which would give both sides equal time.    Please pray that this will be granted.
The Testimony of Norma McCorvey -
"Roe" of Roe v. Wade
- - - -** The affidavit filed by Norma McCorvey – “Roe” of Roe v. Wade in 2003 asking for an overturn of Roe v Wade is also included in the Amicus Briefs.  Her words include the following statements: “The abortion decision that destroyed every State law protecting the rights of women and their unborn babies was based on a fundamental misrepresentation . . .At that time I was a street person.  I lived, worked, and panhandled on the streets.  My totally powerless circumstances made it easy for them to use me.”

(Note: Norma McCorvey died of heart failure in Katy, Texas, on February 18, 2017, at the age of 69)
Praying about the Church in America
Offering repentance that the church in our nation has not valued life though all stages, beginning at conception.

Mark 9:37 (KJV) Whosoever shall receive one of such children in My name, receiveth Me: and whosoever shall receive Me, receiveth not Me, but Him that sent Me.

Psalm 139:13-16 (KJV) For thou hast possessed my reins (inward parts): Thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are Thy works: and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from Thee when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in Thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

  • Repentance and prayer - The Body of Messiah has not wholly recognized the receiving of His children is even the receiving of God Himself..
  • Repentance and Prayer for life to be valued and protected beginning at conception.
Repentance & prayer for the law of the land
Repentance & prayer that the law of the land would be aligned to the Ways of the Lord.

Zechariah 1:3 (KJV) Therefore say thou unto them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Turn ye unto Me,” saith the Lord of hosts, “and I will turn unto you,” saith the Lord of hosts

Jeremiah 6:16a (KJV) Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.

  • Prayer for the Church in the nation to repent, even return to the Lord of Host that He may turn His face and shine His light on us.
  • Prayer for the Church in the nation to look and ask for the old paths, the good ways in which to walk and wherein we will find His rest.
Our Closing Thoughts
We must repent and engage in actual concrete ways to demonstrate turning from our sin on December 1, 2021. Our suggestions would include praying in front of abortion clinics, signing The Moral Outcry Petition, helping the poor, the homeless, donating to pregnancy resource centers - either time or donations, committing to pray more, and committing to be more publicly vocal that abortion is a crime against humanity and offering help to those considering abortion, etc.

II Chronicles 7:14: (KJV) If my people which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face; and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God."  [Romans 13:1]
