Trump-Backed Leaders Take Helm at RNC After McDaniel Exits

HOUSTON—The Republican National Committee (RNC) has elected new leadership endorsed by former President Donald Trump after Ronna McDaniel, the group’s longest-serving chair, stepped down on March 8.

Michael Whatley, chair of the North Carolina Republican Party whom President Trump endorsed last month to lead the RNC, was elected by a voice vote to succeed Ms. McDaniel at the committee’s spring meeting in Houston, Texas. He ran unopposed.

Lara Trump, the former president’s daughter-in-law who also ran unopposed, was elected co-chair by a voice vote.

The leadership overhaul comes just days after President Trump dominated the Republican presidential primaries held on Super Tuesday on March 5, solidifying his hold on the Republican nomination and the party itself.

The RNC named President Trump the “presumptive nominee” a day later, after his final challenger, former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, suspended her campaign. (The

- Father God, we turn to you now, in this new political season in our land, and we lift up prayer specifically for the leadership of the Republican Party as they set their hands to the helm of this mighty ship. May each member be guided by Your truth as they make decisions for the funding and the direction of the Republican Party. We thank You for this new day, and we trust You to carry us through to the finish line, together. In Your Name, amen and amen!

- "You are my rock and my fortress;
For the sake of Your name You will lead me and guide me.
. . . Into Your hand I entrust my spirit;
You have redeemed me, Lord, God of
truth."

14 Lies and Myths in Joe Biden’s 2024 State of the Union Address
Arriving roughly 20 minutes later than announced, a frenetic President Joe Biden delivered his fourth, and potentially last State of the Union address on Thursday night. His voluminous, staccato, and aggressive remarks previewed a 2024 presidential campaign centered on expanding abortion nationwide, restricting the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms, and casting his political foes as an incipient, existential threat to democracy and the United States itself. In just over an hour, Biden spoke a number of lies, false assertions, and dubious statements worth reviewing for the record.

- We thank You, O Lord, for raising up men of God who can help us to discern truth from lies when spoken by those who would govern us. Thank You, O Lord,
for this article, and may we never forget its truths. In Your Name, amen and amen!

Which speak arrogantly against the righteous
With pride and contempt."

LET'S PROVE OURSELVES WORTHY OF PROTECTING THE AMERICAN DREAM: GOP RESPONSE TO SOTU
"Our Families Are Hurting.
Our Country Can Do Better."

Good evening, America.

My name is Katie Britt, and I have the honor of serving the people of the great state of Alabama in the United States Senate.

However, that’s not the job that matters most.

I’m a proud wife and mom of two school-age kids. My daughter, Bennett, and my son, Ridgeway, are why I ran for the Senate.

I am worried about their future—and the future of children in every corner of our nation. That’s why I invited you into our home tonight.

Like so many families across America, my husband, Wesley, and I just watched President Biden’s State of the Union address from our living room. What we saw was the performance of a permanent politician who has actually been in office for longer than I’ve even been alive.

One thing was clear: President Biden just doesn’t get it. He’s out of touch. Under his administration, families are worse off. Our communities are less safe, and our country is less secure.

I wish he understood what real families are facing around kitchen tables just like this.

This is where our family has tough conversations and where we make hard decisions. It’s where we share the good, the bad, and the ugly of our days. It’s where we laugh together. It’s where we hold each other’s hands and pray for God’s guidance. And, many nights, it’s where Wesley and I worry.

I know we’re not alone. Tonight, the American family needs to have a tough conversation, because the truth is, we’re all worried about the future of our nation. (Daily Signal) To read all of Katie's speech, please go here.

- We thank You, O Lord, for the clear, clarion voice of Katie Britt. In her eloquent
words, she has spoken for all of us, "the little people," of what we need to receive from our government. We ask that Your hand of protection would rest upon this sister from Alabama, as well as her family. Thank You, Lord, amen and amen!

- " . . . in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus."    (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
US to build temporary port to deliver Gaza aid
WASHINGTON, March 7 (Reuters) - The U.S. military will build a temporary port on Gaza's Mediterranean coast to receive humanitarian aid by sea, President Joe Biden said in his State of the Union speech on Thursday.

Planning for the operation, initially based on the island of Cyprus, does not envision deployment of U.S. military personnel in Gaza.

Biden's announcement came as he seeks to cool anger among many in his Democratic Party over his support for Israel in its offensive in Gaza since Oct. 7, given the steep toll on civilians in the Palestinian enclave.

- Lord God, if there is anything in this plan that will not benefit the Israelis, we ask that it be turned down by our Congress. We continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and for its protection only. In Your Name, we offer this prayer, amen and amen.

- "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem." (Psalm 122:6)

Our Weekly Call to Repentance

CHPP Welcomes You to Join Us Every Week in One Hour of Repentance

Sunday evening at 10:00 p.m. EDT
Dial 717-908-1983
Access Code: 9301470#

Dear Saints,

A lifestyle of REPENTANCE is so close to the heart of God.

Indeed, He commands us to  "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" Matthew 3:2

How, then, can we approach His Throne of GRACE, in repentance?

We invite you to join us every week on Sunday evening, as we explore this vital topic together. We present a different prayer focus each week, leading us into repentance, so that we might approach His Throne of Grace in repentance, presenting ourselves to Him as a pure and a spotless Bride, without spot or wrinkle. (Ephesians 5:27)

Praying together, we desire to fulfill the mandate of Psalm 139:

" Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:24

You can join us, any Sunday evening, at 10:00 p.m. EST by calling:

717-908-1983
Access Code: 9301470#

WELCOME!

". . . and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

"Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place."
(2 Chronicles 7:14,15)

Thought For The Day
"The high praises of God shall be in their mouths,
And a two-edged sword in their hands,
To execute vengeance on the nations,
And punishment on the peoples,
To bind their kings with chains,
And their dignitaries with shackles of iron,
To execute against them the judgment written.
This is an honor for all His godly ones.

Praise the Lord!" (Psalm 149:6-9)
