Several countries come to Israel’s aid
to stop Iran barrage
France, Jordan and the United Kingdom assisted in the defense of Israel

Israel fended off a furious attack on Saturday with the help of powerful allies in the region and around the world.

Multiple countries came together to help fend off over 300 drones and missiles launched at Israel from Iran, with the Israeli Defense Forces claiming that roughly 99% of the attack had been thwarted by their forces and allies.

"At my direction, to support the defense of Israel, the U.S. military moved aircraft and ballistic missile defense destroyers to the region over the course of the past week.  Thanks to these deployments and the extraordinary skill of our servicemembers, we helped Israel take down nearly all of the incoming drones and missiles," President Biden said in a statement condemning the Iranian attack.

But the U.S. was not the only country to step up in the defense of Israel, with France, Jordan and the United Kingdom also playing roles in intercepting the attack.

Senior French officials told Fox News Sunday that several of the Iranian projectiles had been intercepted by French forces over Iraq and Jordan.

"France has ground-air defense elements in the region to protect its forces. They were used to neutralize what flew over our rights," confirmed a source familiar with the matter.

The U.K.’s Royal Air Force also participated in the defense, according to a Times of Israel report, with RAF fighters intercepting an unknown number of drones in the region bound for Israel and vowing that its jets in the Middle East "will intercept any airborne attacks within range of our existing missions, as required." (Fox News) Read more here.

- Oh, Father God! How we praise You for raising up and activating our allies in this
region! We ask that Iran would take note that others are also standing with Israel, hence recognizing the futility of their mission to destroy the land of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

We thank You. O Lord, that as a result of this weekend's news, the whole world now knows that Israel does NOT stand alone in defending its sovereignty among the nations. Praise God!

- "For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light." (Mark 4:22)

Iran offers Israel off-ramp to 'conclude' attack after launching missiles, drones on Jewish state
Tehran has failed to honor diplomatic protections for embassies in the past
Iran, through its United Nations mission in New York, issued a statement that appeared to offer Israel a way to prevent further escalation if it considers the conflict "concluded."

"Conducted on the strength of Article 51 of the UN Charter pertaining to legitimate defense, Iran’s military action was in response to the Zionist regime’s aggression against our diplomatic premises in Damascus," the mission’s statement, posted on social media platform X, states.

"The matter can be deemed concluded," the mission argued. "However, should the Israeli regime make another mistake, Iran’s response will be considerably more severe. It is a conflict between Iran and the rogue Israeli regime, from which the U.S. MUST STAY AWAY!" (Fox News) Read more here.

- Father God, it does seem that at this time, Iran is viewing its role in international relations backwards! Your Word declares that the land of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- also called ISRAEL -- belongs to You, the Most High God! We pray that the leadership of Iran would "get back in line," and not create an escalated level of worldwide danger, following yesterday's attacks. In Your Name, we offer this prayer, amen and amen.

Iran threatens to hit US bases if Washington backs Israeli counterattack
While warning of ‘much larger’ response if Israel retaliates for drone and missile attack, UN envoy says Iran now ‘deems the matter concluded’; Hamas jumps to support Tehran

Top Iranian commanders warned Israel on Sunday that the country would face a bigger attack if it retaliates against overnight drone and missile strikes, adding that Washington has been told not to back any military action from its ally.

“Our response will be much larger than tonight’s military action if Israel retaliates against Iran,” Iran’s armed forces chief of staff Major General Mohammad Bagheri told state TV, adding that Tehran warned Washington that any backing of Israeli retaliation would result in US bases being targeted.

“If the Zionist regime (Israel) or its supporters demonstrate reckless behavior, they will receive a decisive and much stronger response,” Iran’s president Ebrahim Raisi said in a statement.

The commander of the elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hossein Salami, also warned that Tehran would retaliate against any Israeli attack on its interests, officials or citizens. He said Tehran had created a “new equation” in which any Israeli attack on its interests, assets, officials or citizens would be reciprocated from its own territory. Salami also said the operation was a success “beyond expectations.” (Times of Israel) Read more here.

- Father God, we do not fear these threats issued by the leaders of Iran. Instead, we only fear You, Holy One, because of Your great power and Your heart of love for Your people! We pray now for the many people of Iran who do NOT support the ayatollahs, and who are looking for the way to truth peace. Come, Lord Jesus we pray, come!

- “But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.” (Luke 12:5)

Pastors praying for Israel in response to Iran launching drone, missile attack
Iran threatens ‘severe response’ if US, Israel retaliate
Prominent Christian leaders worldwide are urgently calling for prayers for peace and security in Israel after Iran initiated a significant aerial assault on Israel, deploying hundreds of drones and missiles early Sunday, intensifying existing regional tensions and pushing the Middle East closer to a broader conflict.

Prominent religious leaders have voiced their concerns and called for peace.

Pastor Greg Laurie of the Harvest Fellowship in California and Hawaii pointed to the biblical significance of the attacks. “As American evangelicals, we want our Jewish friends to know that we stand behind the Jewish homeland and her people,” Laurie wrote on X. “This attack is on the heels of the horrific attack from Hamas, which is a proxy of Iran on Israel on October 7th.” He added, “We pray that God almighty would protect Israel at this hour and we are to ‘Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.’ (Psalm 122:6) One of the signs of the end time is an increase in anti-Semitism and the increasing isolation of the state of Israel. we are certainly seeing that happen before our very eyes.”

Similarly, Jack Hibbs, a senior pastor, also connected current events with biblical prophecies. “This could be [the] hook that is set into the jaw of Gog … that would be Russia. ... And if Russia gets involved, then we could see Ezekiel 38 unfold. … A lot of great scholars believe that the Rapture could happen before the Ezekiel battle,” Hibbs, of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, said in a video post on X, urging his followers to spread the word and pray.

The Rev. Johnnie Moore, the president of the Congress of Christian Leaders, wrote that Christian congregations worldwide will be dedicating themselves to prayer for the peace and security of Israel. “There will be hundreds of millions of prayers prayed.” (The Christian Post) Read more here.

- Father God, we offer prayers of thanksgiving before Your Throne of Grace, as we witness the Body of Christ coming together at this strategic time, to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. We ask, O Lord, that You would hear our prayers, even as we offer repentance for our many sins as a nation. In Your Name, Holy One, we offer this prayer. amen and amen!

- "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem." (Psalm 122:6)

- "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brethren to dwell together in unity!"
(Psalm 133:1)

1. IDF Says 99 Percent of Launches Intercepted, Iran’s Attack ‘Failed’ - Algemeiner

i24 News – Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Chief Spokesperson, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, addressed the overnight Iranian attack during a morning operational update.

“Iran initiated an attack against Israel, launching over 300 threats of various types. The Iranian threat met the aerial and technological superiority of the IDF, along with a strong fighting coalition,” Hagari started the briefing.

“99% of the threats launched towards Israeli territory were intercepted – a very significant strategic achievement,” he specified. “Of approximately 170 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that Iran launched, zero crossed into Israeli territory.”

“From the more than 30 cruise missiles Iran launched, none crossed into Israeli territory,” the IDF spokesperson continued. “Out of over 120 ballistic missiles, only a few crossed into Israeli territory, with the rest being intercepted.” (Read more)

2. UNSC to meet late on Sunday to discuss Iran’s missile and drone attack on Israel  - Jerusalem Post

The United Nations Security Council was set to meet late Sunday afternoon in New York on Iran’s overnight missile and drone attack on Israel.

“The gravity and the volume of the attacks are unprecedented and are a flagrant violation of Israel’s sovereignty, of international law, and of Security Council resolutions,” Israel’s Ambassador to the UN Gilad Erdan said in a letter he wrote to the UNSC president asking the 15-member body to convene on the matter.

“The time has come for the Security Council to take action against the Iranian threat,” he said.Iran’s mission to the UN in New York stated in a post on X early Sunday morning that its attack was an act of self-defense permissible under Article 51 of the UN Charter. (Read more)

3. IDF reveals images of damage caused by Iranian attack - Israel National News

Last night, the Israeli Air Force, together with our strategic partner countries, successfully intercepted dozens of aerial threats launched from Iran towards Israel. The IAF deployed dozens of aircraft into the sky on an aerial defense mission to protect the country's skies, and successfully intercepted unmanned aircraft vehicles (UAVs) and cruise missiles.

Out of hundreds of launches, only a few missiles crossed into the territory of the State of Israel causing only minor damage to infrastructure at the Nevatim Airbase near the runway and to a road in the Hermon area.

The functionality of the Nevatim Airbase was not affected, aircraft continued to take off and fulfill their defense and offense missions - even during the night, and throughout the day. (Read more)

4. Col. Richard Kemp: 'Iranian attack wasn't symbolic, was meant to cause destruction' - Israel National News

Colonel Richard Kemp, the former commander of the British military forces in Afghanistan, spoke to Israel National News - Arutz Sheva on Sunday about the Iranian assault on Israel in which the Jewish State was attacked with hundreds of UAVs and missiles overnight.

Saturday night's attack included 170 UAVs, 30 cruise missiles, and 120 ballistic missiles. According to Col. Kemp, these weapons are deadlier than the majority of rockets that have been fired from Lebanon and Gaza by the Hezbollah and Hamas terrorist organizations.

"I witnessed many of the air defense intercepts over Jerusalem last night. The explosions they caused were far greater than any rockets I have seen intercepted from Gaza or Lebanon. There is no doubt that every projectile that hit its target would have caused immense destruction and potentially significant loss of human life," he noted. (Read More)

5. IDF says ship-mounted Iron Dome successfully downed hostile target in Eilat area - Times of Israel

The IDF says a “suspicious aerial target” — believed to be a drone launched from Yemen — was downed by a ship-mounted Iron Dome system, known as C-Dome, in the Eilat area.

The target entered Israeli airspace from the direction of the Red Sea, and was tracked by the military until it was successfully shot down by one of the Navy’s Sa’ar 6-class corvettes, the IDF says.

No sirens sounded in Eilat as there was no threat to civilians, the military adds. (Read more)

1. Six Killed In Stabbing Spree In Australian Shopping Mall- Daily Caller

Six people, in addition to the suspect, were killed Saturday afternoon in a stabbing spree at a mall in Sydney, Australia, according to ABC Net AU.
The suspect allegedly stabbed multiple victims with a long knife, causing hundreds of people to be evacuated from the Westfield Bondi Junction shopping mall, the outlet reported.
Five women and one man were reported dead following the incident, according to the outlet. At least 11 victims were taken to the hospital with injuries, including a nine-month-old baby who reportedly required surgery, police said, according to the outlet.
The suspect, believed to be a 40-year-old man, was shot dead by a female police officer whom he allegedly lunged towards at the scene, the outlet reported. She reportedly confronted the attacker from behind on the fifth floor of the mall. (Read more)

- Father, we pray for Your comfort for those who were affected by this horrific incident. Let the evil ideology that created this situation be judged by You and removed.

2. Crisis in California: Surge in migrant boat landings brings 'chaos' to seaside communities - Fox

Conditions at Marine Street Beach were as beautiful as they get — crystal clear water, sunny blue skies. Perfect, except for the motorboat speeding toward Jack Enright.
Enright, a San Diego native and videographer who was out that morning taking pictures of the waves, swam out of the way and started recording as the small white boat carrying around eight people "flew up" onto the shore. Enright said he couldn’t remember if the driver even killed the engine.
"It was just chaos, honestly," he told Fox News. "And everyone just jumped and started running."
The group sprinted up a staircase to the street and disappeared into La Jolla. Enright had never seen it firsthand before, but knew he’d just witnessed a human smuggling operation, a near daily occurrence in the waters off California.
People have long sneaked into the U.S. by way of the Pacific Ocean, but over the last three years, California has seen an "exponential increase in maritime smuggling," according to Brandon Tucker, director of Customs and Border Protection’s Air and Marine Operations in San Diego. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray against the human smuggling that has been occurring in our nation. We ask that it not just be exposed, but dealt with by Your great power.

3. ICE Nabs Illegal Alien Afghan Terror Suspect Who Was Released Into U.S. By Biden Admin- Daily Wire

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested an Afghan illegal alien on the FBI’s terrorist watch list this week after reports surfaced that border officials released him into the country nearly a year ago.
Mohammad Kharwin, 48, who illegally entered the U.S. through the southern border, “is a member of Hezb-e-Islami, or HIG, a political and paramilitary organization that the U.S. has designated a terrorist organization,” NBC News reported on Thursday.
The Islamic terrorist group is responsible for killing multiple American soldiers in Afghanistan from 2013 to 2015, according to U.S. officials. The Director of National Intelligence says that Hezb-e-Islami, or “Party of Islam,” is a “virulently anti-Western insurgent group whose goal is to replace the Western-backed Afghan Government with an Islamic state rooted in sharia.”
Officials at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) disputed NBC News’ report that Kharwin was on the terrorist watchlist when he entered the U.S. because there was “not conclusive information” to match him to the list, according to a report from Fox News. (Read more)

-  Father, this situation is only one of many – we earnestly seek Your mighty protection against this foolish agenda by the current administration. We pray that all persons with evil intent in our nation be arrested and removed. Let all who have come here illegally , and those who have encouraged them be held accountable.

- “O you who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the lives of his saints; he delivers them from the hand of the wicked.” (Psalm 97:10)

4. Biden resists pulling controversial judicial nominee Adeel Mangi despite Democrat defectors - Fox

The White House is not taking any cues from Republicans who have advised President Biden to withdraw a controversial judicial nomination.
Instead, it's digging in its heels to lobby Democratic senators to support Adeel Mangi for the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals.
A White House official updated Fox News Digital on the status of Mangi's nomination, which has been scrutinized over his ties to two groups, one accused of antisemitism and another that has supported "cop killers," as Republican critics have alleged.
Biden is not considering withdrawing the judicial nomination despite a call from Senate Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.
Mangi served on the board of advisers for the Rutgers University Center for Security, Race and Rights (CSRR) from 2019 to 2023. The center has been accused by Republicans of antisemitism due to its sponsored events and speakers. One such event was held on the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks and featured controversial speakers like Hatem Bazian, who in 2004 called for an "intifada," according to video from an anti-war protest in San Francisco, and Sami Al-Arian. 5. Pompeo warns diversity chief who espoused anti-American 'Marxist dogma' will 'destroy the State Department' - Fox

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the State Department's new senior DEI hire will "destroy" the foreign affairs agency and make America "less safe" in an interview Friday with Fox News Digital.
Zakiya Carr Johnson was hired by the State Department last week as chief officer of diversity, equity and inclusion. Fox News Digital exposed her past anti-American remarks, including her saying the U.S. represented a "failed historical model" embedded with racism, colonialism and other isms. Carr Johnson has also called for tradition to be dismantled.
Pompeo believes Carr Johnson's hire was part of the "Biden administration's core commitment… to inflict a divisive, un-American, Marxist dogma on the American people."
"I don't think [the State Department] frankly believes it. I think they're catering to the progressive left of their base in an election year, and the harm is that they will destroy the State Department in this way, and, frankly, the capacity of America to deliver the diplomacy that other nations around the world are counting on," he told Fox News Digital.
Pompeo added that years ago he "never would have dreamed" such divisive language would be embraced in the federal government.
"So this progressive [movement]… becoming so radicalized is something that has moved very quickly, spread rapidly, and if not put in check will only continue to metastasize in ways that undermine our republic," he said. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray that all these Marxist plans be thwarted and removed from our nation. We ask that You put the enemy to flight as You did of old, leaving the enemy bereft of power. Raise up more and more righteous leaders who will pray to You for guidance and wisdom.

- “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” (Prov. 16:9)

6. Top U.S. General In Europe Issues Stark Warning About Russian Military – Daily Wire

General Christopher Cavoli, the head of U.S. European Command, warned this week that Russia’s military has grown stronger and has recovered faster from its war in Ukraine than the U.S. thought was possible.
Cavoli, who is also the supreme allied commander of Europe at the Western security alliance NATO, made the remarks Wednesday during a House Armed Services hearing on National Security Challenges in Europe.
“With the help of the United States, and invaluable help from other allies and partners, Ukraine has inflicted significant damage upon the Russian military,” he said in his opening remarks. “However, Russia relies on the mass and quantity available to a large country, and despite its military’s evident deficiencies and dysfunctions, continues to pose an existential threat to Ukraine.”
Cavoli said that Russia has increased its production of long range precision munitions and has started to buy “ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and long-range drones from third countries who were previously outside this fight. (Read more)

- Lord, we bind any Russian or even Ukrainian actions that could continue or widen the conflict in that region. We ask that our leadership heed the warnings of our military and act only with wisdom.

- “Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future.”  (Proverbs 19:20)

7. U.S. Moving Additional Military Assets To Middle East To Deter Iranian Attacks: Report  -Daily Wire

The U.S. Department of Defense is deploying additional military assets to the Middle East to deter attacks from Iran as the Islamic regime is expected to launch attacks against Israel as soon as Friday.
The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday that U.S. officials believe that Iran’s attack against Israel is expected in the next 48 hours. The expected attack is in retaliation for Israel terminating Mohammed Reza Zahedi, the top commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Quds Force in Lebanon and Syria, last week as he met with other Iranian commanders and leaders from the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist group.
Zahedi allegedly played a “strategic role in forming and strengthening the resistance front as well as in planning and executing” Hamas’ October 7 terrorist attack against Israel, according to a staunchly pro-IRGC political group.
The U.S. Military is moving the additional assets to the region “to bolster regional deterrence efforts and increase force protection for US forces,” a Pentagon official told CNN. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray Your protection over the Military as they move these assets to the Middle East. Let the assets do what is originally intended with no interference from any outside persons or agendas.

- “No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.” (Isaiah 54:17)

8. DC National Guard whistleblowers to tell Congress they were ready to go on J6 after Trump authorized their deployment, but Pentagon held them back – The Post Millennial

Three Washington DC National Guard troops are to testify in Congress that former President Donald Trump wanted them to be at the Capitol on January 6 during the protests, but they were delayed by the Pentagon. The troops are expected to contradict the story of the Democrat-led January 6 Committee.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, the National Guard troops are blowing the whistle on the situation, calling into question the efficacy of the story told by the J6 Committee on Trump's actions taken that day.
The officers, in speaking to the outlet, revealed that their stories were ignored by the Democrat-led committee because they did not fit the narrative. The hearing is set to further underscore that Acting Defense Secretary at the time Christopher Miller did give approval for the deployment of the DC National Guard at Trump's direction.
A source familiar with the matter told the outlet that the National Guard troops will provide testimony showing that then-Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy delayed the action for at least a couple hours to notify DC National Guard Commander William Walker to send the troops over to the Capitol building. The three troops were on active duty at the time and will testify on how the breakdown in military communication led to the delay in getting the troops to the Capitol. (Read more)

- Father, as more and more information comes to light about what really happened on Jan 6, 2021, we are grieved and angry at the injustices perpetrated that day by those with an agenda to cause President Trump and his supporters evil intent. We ask for not just truth to be revealed, but accountability and justice to prevail over these terrible situations.

- “When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.” (Prov.12:15)

Archaeologists make 'stunning' find of banquet hall in Pompeii

A group of archaeologists excavating the doomed city of Pompeii found quite the surprise earlier this week: a banquet hall complete with paintings inspired by the Trojan War.

The discovery was announced earlier this week, The Associated Press noted.

The banquet hall and its mosaic floor were uncovered during a project to help prevent further demise of the ruins of Pompeii.

Pompeii was a bustling city near Naples until the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in A.D. 79. The volcano destroyed the entire city, killing thousands — yet left it remarkably preserved.

The city sat under a layer of volcanic ash for centuries until it was re-discovered in the 18th century, says the website for the Smithsonian.

Since then, it has become a popular tourist destination and archaeological dig site.

Pompeii was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997, the UNESCO website says. Read More

The Good News Corner
Iowa Joins Texas:

New Law Allows State to Deport Illegals
(MRCTV.org)  Iowa has joined Texas in empowering state law enforcement to do the job the Biden Administration has refused to do: arrest and remove illegal aliens. On Wednesday, amid the unfettered surge of illegal aliens into the US, Republican Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds signed into law SF 2340, which mirrors a Texas law currently being held up and challenged in court by the Biden Administration.  Iowa's new law is necessary in order to protect the safety of the state's residents from the dangers of ...Joe Biden's open-border polices, Gov. Reynolds explained in a statement: "The Biden Administration has failed to enforce our nation's immigration laws, putting the protection and safety of Iowans at risk. Those who come into our country illegally have broken the law, yet Biden refuses to deport them.  This bill gives Iowa law enforcement the power to do what he is unwilling to do: enforce immigration laws already on the books."

While the US Constitution generally delegates immigration enforcement to the federal government, it does provide exceptions. One exception allows each individual state to defend itself from invasion, as Heartland Institute's Justin Haskins explains: "In Article One, Section 10, the Constitution declares, 'No State shall, without the Consent of Congress...engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay. Today's pundits, legislators, and voters might disagree about what constitutes an 'invasion,' but in the era of the Founding Fathers, when that clause of the Constitution was written, the word had a clearer meaning. To the Founders, an "invasion" referred to any unauthorized entry that includes even a slight degree of hostility." (Breaking Christian News) Read more here.

- Father, we praise You for protection over the citizens of America. We are grateful that Iowa now stands with Texas in desiring to secure their state from unvetted illegals and empowering their law enforcement. We ask for protection and blessing over Governor Reynolds for her bold stance and declare that any potential future challenge against this bill from the current administration will be null and void! Bring order and unity across the nation so more states will enforce immigration laws and all U.S. citizens will remain vigilant and safe. In Jesus Mighty Name-Amen.

Scripture: "Thinking  He was the gardener, she said, Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have put Him, and I will get Him. John 20:15

Lyrics:
I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses.

Refrain
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.

He speaks, and the sound of His voice,
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing.

Refrain

I’d stay in the garden with Him
Though the night around me be falling,
But He bids me go; through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling.

Refrain
