Jonathan Turley left in ‘utter disbelief’ over DA’s case against Trump

Fox News contributor and legal expert Jonathan Turley said former President Donald Trump’s trial in Manhattan over allegedly falsifying business records has left him “in utter disbelief.”

“What is clear, is in this case, Trump is right. I mean, this is an embarrassment. I mean, the fact that we are actually talking about this case being presented in a New York courtroom, leaves me in utter disbelief. I mean, the the arguments today did in fact capture all the problems here,” Turley said Monday afternoon on Fox News.

"You had this misdemeanor under state law, that had run out, this is going back to relate it to the 2016 election. And they zapped it back into life by alleging that there was a campaign finance violation under the federal laws that doesn't exist," he said.

Turley was reacting to the trial Monday, which has officially kicked off in earnest after jury selection last week, as well as a recent poll finding 31% of Americans find Trump’s behavior at the crux of the case unethical, but not illegal. While an additional 14% said there was “nothing wrong” with Trump’s actions, and 35% who said his actions were “illegal.”

“This case should not have been brought , and if it were brought, there was no reason to have this right before the election in my view. But this is becoming the split screen election,” Turley said. “Earlier it was pretty damaging to see the split screen between Trump in different courtrooms. This is even more effective when the other side of the screen shows Biden campaigning in key states like Pennsylvania, while he's held in this courtroom."

“It really brings home something that bothers a lot of Americans, including people don't particularly like Trump, that this is the weaponization of the criminal legal system. It's something we should all be able to condemn."

Court wrapped up around 12:30 on Monday, earlier than initially anticipated, after a juror experiencing a toothache required a dental appointment. (Fox News) Read more here

- Father, we forgive the shameful behavior of the prosecution (judge and attorney) in this matter and pray that their action is repudiated so loudly by the American people that even the media will have to take note.  We renounce the weaponizing of the legal system in an attempt to vanquish President Trump's presidential campaign, in Jesus name.  We bind and rebuke the gags and obstructions that have been put upon him unrighteously and ask You Father, to set this captive free, in Jesus name. We pray for this case to collapse on the very sand upon which it was built because the wind is blowing and the waves are crashing on it.

- "'If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king.  But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.'"  (Daniel 3:17-18)

Supreme Court prepares to debate Trump immunity claim in election interference case
It's new territory for the Supreme Court and the nation – no current or former president has ever been criminally indicted

In what may be the most closely watched case this term at the Supreme Court – involving the highest-profile appellant – former President Donald Trump has offered a sweeping argument for why he should not face trial for alleged election interference.

The high court will hold arguments Thursday morning in what could determine the former president's personal and political future. As the presumptive GOP nominee to retake the White House, Trump is betting that his constitutional assertions will lead to a legal reprieve from the court's 6-3 conservative majority – with three of its members appointed to the bench by the defendant himself.

The official question the justices will consider: Whether, and if so, to what extent does a former president enjoy presidential immunity from criminal prosecution for conduct alleged to involve official acts during his tenure in office?

This is new territory for the Supreme Court and the nation. No current or former president has ever been criminally indicted.

The stakes could not be higher – both for the immediate election prospects, and the long-term effect on the presidency itself and the rule of law. But it will be the second time this term the high court will hear a case directly involving the former president. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Mighty God, we pray for the Supreme Court justices to walk in Your wisdom and authority, with the courage to make the right decision.  We ask You to speak to them and reveal what is just, right and true in this matter.  We pray Father, that the justices will have the courage of lions to target exactly what must be addressed and resolved in this situation, so that, not only will President Trump be protected, but so will every other President in the future. These accusations are a significant attack against the sovereignty of the executive branch of our government, and we cannot see it collapsed because of bitter rage and craven power-seeking, in Jesus name. Holy One, we know the DOJ has not honored their responsibility to protect the justices, so we will step in the gap and call on You to send warring angels to protect them and their families from the protesters and antagonizers who have been harassing them since the Roe decision, in Jesus mighty, strong name.  Amen.

- "For the Lord is our Judge, The Lord is our Lawgiver, The Lord is our King; He will save us;"  (Isaiah 33:22)

Marjorie Taylor Greene Says Motion to Vacate for Mike Johnson Is ‘Coming’

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) said Sunday that a motion to vacate Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) is coming “regardless” of what he decides to do in the near future.

“Mike Johnson’s Speakership is over. He needs to do the right thing and allow us to move forward in a controlled process, and if he doesn’t do so, he will be vacated,” she said on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.”

When asked by “Sunday Morning Futures” host Maria Bartiromo about whether Ms. Greene is going ahead with her previously announced motion to vacate, Ms. Greene said that “it’s coming regardless of what Mike Johnson decides to do.” Her motion to vacate was introduced last month after Mr. Johnson backed a resolution that the House passed to avoid a partial government shutdown.

“And we have three more Republicans joining us for a special election coming up very soon. So, people need to know this can happen,” she said.

Rep. Tom Cole (R-Okla.) told CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday that Mr. Johnson appears likely to keep his job if a motion is submitted. “I don’t think you’d lose very many Republicans,” he said, adding that still, “it doesn’t take very many Democrats to either not vote or oppose it.”

“We’re in a bipartisan era in a strange way where Democrats will be able to back the speaker on the other side of the aisle and not have him vacated out of the chair,” Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas) also told “This Week.” Mr. Johnson, he claimed, is “in good shape” at the moment despite the ouster threat.

The House is currently in recess until the end of this month. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Father, we put Speaker Mike Johnson in Your able hands and ask You to minister to his spirit and mind, so that he follows exactly where You are leading.  We ask You to protect his position, but to also bring him into alignment with the agreements he made originally. We are not the same nation we were ten years ago, and bipartisan seldom means give and take and fair compromise, so we pray for legislation that represents the conservative citizens of this nation.  We pray that Speaker Johnson would know how to overrule the works of the left that would undermine our nation's sovereignty, financial stability and citizenry, in Jesus name.

- "Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you; Rebuke a wise man, and he will love you.  Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.  The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding."  (Proverbs 9:8-10)

15 State Officials Warn Bank of America About
‘De-Banking’ of Christians

A group of 15 financial officials from 13 states sent a notice to Bank of America, raising concerns about the institution’s “de-banking” of Christians.

“We write to express our concerns over Bank of America’s troubling track record of politicized de-banking. Bank of America’s de-banking policies and practices threaten the company’s financial health, its reputation with customers, our nation’s economy, and the civil liberties of everyday Americans,” the officials wrote in an April 18 letter to Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan.

“We are especially troubled by Bank of America’s track record of discriminating against religious ministries. Notable examples include Memphis-based charity Indigenous Advance Ministries, the Timothy Two Project, and Christian author and speaker Lance Wallnau.”

The letter was written by officials from Alabama, Arizona, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Utah. (Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Thank You Father, for putting backbones in these state officials, and aligning them to stand together against this disgusting corporate overreach. We pray that the notification from the official has teeth in it and we also call for it to be broadcast far and wide across the nation.  May this be another big business that we, the people, can compel to do business honorably or not at all, in Jesus name. We know our financial system is precarious, so we pray for all God's people to get out of debt as much as possible and we pray that this particular corporation repents and stops obstructing access to the financial resources, in Jesus name.

- "I have called upon You, for You will hear me, O God; Incline Your ear to me, and hear my speech. Show Your marvelous lovingkindness by Your right hand, O You who save those who trust in You From those who rise up against them."
(Psalm 17:6-7)

FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. On Passover eve: Netanyahu compares Hamas to Pharaoh for not letting hostages go - Israel 365 News

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave a pre-Passover video address in Hebrew on Sunday night.

“On this night, 133 of our dear brothers and sisters are not around the Seder table, and they are still held hostage by Hamas in hellish conditions,” Netanyahu said. “We have already freed 124 of our hostages and we are committed to returning them all home – the living and the deceased alike.”

“And why is this night not different?” he said, intentionally misquoting the Passover Haggadah. “That in every generation they rise up to destroy us, and the Holy One, blessed be He, saves us from them,” he said, giving the correct answer.

“Unfortunately, until now, all proposals for releasing the hostages have been rejected outright by Hamas,” the PM said. “Therefore, the American Secretary of State rightly said that Hamas has refused every proposal that it has been presented with. In his words, the only thing preventing a hostage release deal is Hamas.” (Read more)

2. Biden’s Passover Message: Ceasefire, Aid to Gaza, Two-State Solution - Israel 365 News

US President Joe Biden released a Passover message on Sunday night that began well, focusing on the Biblical aspect of the Jewish holiday. It stayed focused on Jews and Israel, condemning the Oct. 7 attack on Israel and Hamas. But Biden strayed off course, claiming that he was working to bring about a ceasefire and humanitarian aid to Gaza, both of which benefit Hamas.

“Tomorrow night, Jews around the world will celebrate Passover, recounting their miraculous Exodus story from hundreds of years of enslavement in Egypt and their journey to freedom,” the statement read. “This holiday reminds us of a profound and powerful truth: that even in the face of persecution, if we hold on to faith, we shall endure and overcome.”

Biden then noted the connection between Biblical oppression of Jews and the Hamas massacre on Oct. 7.

“As Jews mark Passover with storytelling, songs and rituals, they will also read from the Haggadah how, in every generation, they have been targeted by those who would seek to destroy them. This year, those words carry deeper resonance and pain in the wake of Hamas’s unspeakable evil on Oct. 7—the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust. (Read more)

3. Barrage of 35 rockets from Lebanon targets northern communities as Passover begins - Times of Israel

A barrage of some 35 rockets were fired from Lebanon at the northern community of Ein Zeitim near Safed on Monday evening as Jewish Israelis sat down for the Passover Seder meal.

The attack set off sirens in Safed and nearby towns. The IDF said there were no injuries in the attack and that troops shelled the launch sites.

Israeli fighter jets also struck a Hezbollah position in southern Lebanon after hitting two more buildings where Hezbollah operatives were gathered earlier, the IDF said.

Hezbollah said it had fired “dozens” of Katyusha rockets at an army headquarters in northern Israel in response to raids targeting villages in southern Lebanon. (Read more)

4.  Israel military intelligence chief quits over 7 October - BBC

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said Major General Aharon Haliva would retire once his successor was selected.

He acknowledged in a letter that his intelligence directorate "did not live up to the task we were entrusted with".

He is the first senior figure to step down over the attack, which was the deadliest in Israel's history.

Israeli military and intelligence officials missed or ignored multiple warnings before hundreds of Hamas gunmen breached the Gaza border fence that day and attacked nearby Israeli communities, military bases and a music festival. (Read more)

5. Anti-Israel NGO behind impending US sanctions on IDF battalion  - JNS

DAWN (Democracy for the Arab World Now), a U.S.-based NGO that has sought “arrest warrants against Israelis” in international fora, has provided the so-called evidence driving the U.S. State Department’s anticipated sanctions against an Israel Defense Forces battalion, NGO Monitor reports.

“The reported sanctions to be imposed by the U.S. State Department on IDF combat units and individuals stem directly from a coordinated campaign by extreme political NGOs,” said Gerald Steinberg, founder and president of NGO Monitor, in a statement provided to JNS.

“Currently, the leading NGO is DAWN, a U.S.-based tax-exempt organization that has intensified its legal attacks against Israeli officials since October 7,” he said. (Read more

1. Congressman From Texas Warns That Venezuelan Gang Is Consolidating Power In America Amid Open Border- Daily Wire

A United States Congressman from Texas warned that a violent Venezuelan gang is exploiting America’s open southern border to build its presence and consolidate its power within the United States.
Rep. Tony Gonzalez (R-TX) warned that the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua will become the most powerful criminal gang in the country after years of taking advantage of America’s border crisis.
“This gang in several years is going to be the dominant transnational criminal organization throughout the United States. There’s no doubt in my mind,” Rep. Gonzales explained in an interview with Fox News. “They’re very vicious. They have no rules. They gobble up territory almost like a cancer.”
The gang, which engages in kidnapping, sex trafficking, murder, and extortion, may have counted the killer of Laken Riley among its members. Jose Ibarra, the illegal alien charged with the murder of the young nursing student in Georgia, has a number of tattoos associated with the Venezuelan gang, including a five-pointed crown on his neck. 2. 14 states that may have abortion referendums in 2024 - Christian Post.com

Following the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2022 Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision determining that the U.S. Constitution does not contain a right to abortion, abortion-related ballot measures have gone before voters in several states in the last two years.

This November, there could be over a dozen states that consider an abortion referendum, which would be a record number of ballot measures that have long-lasting implications for abortion policy in 2024.

In 2022, voters in California, Michigan and Vermont approved referendums establishing a right to abortion in their respective state constitutions while voters in Montana rejected a measure that would have required doctors to provide care for babies who survive botched abortions.

In 2023, Ohio voters approved a measure establishing a right to abortion in the state constitution.

The following pages highlight 14 states where referendums related to abortion are either on the ballot or could potentially appear on the ballot this fall. (Read more)

3. Kremlin spy suspect arrests may be tip of iceberg, says former German agency chief - theguardian.com

A former head of Germany’s foreign intelligence service has warned that the discovery of two men suspected of plotting sabotage attacks on military facilities in the country could be just the “tip of the iceberg”.

After the arrest of the Russian-German citizens Dieter S and Alexander J on Wednesday, who are alleged to have been operating as spies on behalf of the Kremlin, Gerhard Schindler, the former chief of the BND, the equivalent of MI6, said it would be naive to see the incident as an isolated one.

“Warlike confrontations are always the hour of spies,” he told the news network RND. “Russia has therefore been continuously ramping up its intelligence operations in recent years, not just in Ukraine, but in the west in general.”

He said espionage and sabotage were an integral part of the “standard toolbox of Russian geopolitics”. The secret service activities in Germany exposed by this week’s arrests, he said, were “from that point of view no surprise. Rather, it’s the tip of the iceberg.” (Read more)

4. China Building New Outpost on U.S. Doorstep, Leaked Documents Reveal - Newsweek

On a Caribbean island just 220 miles from the shore of the U.S. Virgin Islands, a black-clad Chinese security guard swept an arm at more than a thousand acres of woodland and a glittering, aqua-green marine reserve beyond.

"It's like a small country," he said in Chinese.

This natural paradise on the island of Antigua, where officials will study the thoughts of Xi Jinping, is about to be razed for a Chinese-run special economic zone. According to documents reviewed by Newsweek it will have its own customs and immigration formalities, a shipping port and a dedicated airline and will be able to issue passports. It will establish businesses offering everything from logistics to cryptocurrencies, facial surgery to "virology."

China, its state-owned companies and aligned private businesses are expanding rapidly in the island nation of Antigua and Barbuda and in other Caribbean countries in this strategic region long known as "America's third border," according to a Newsweek investigation of government and corporate documents as well as interviews with Antiguan leaders.

China's growing regional presence is potentially the greatest external challenge to the United States in the Americas since the Soviet Union set up in Cuba in the 1960s—and the U.S. military is concerned. (Read more)

- Lord, help us to know how to meet the external growing challenge from China.

5. Beijing Warns US After Missile Launcher Reaches 'China's Doorstep' - Newsweek

China expressed "grave concern" on Thursday at the deployment of a U.S. missile system to the edge of the South China Sea, potentially putting Chinese territory within striking range.

The U.S. Army this month hailed the "historic first" arrival of a medium or mid-range capability launcher in the northern Philippines as part of an ongoing military exercise.

The "Typhon" transporter erector launcher can fire the Standard Missile 6 or Tomahawk Land Attack Missile. The latter is a long-range cruise missile with an operational range of over 1,000 miles, capable of reaching China-controlled territories in the South China Sea as well as military bases along its southern coast.

"China strongly opposes the U.S. deploying medium-range ballistic missiles in the Asia-Pacific and strengthening forward deployment at China's doorstep to seek unilateral military advantage," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said at a regular press briefing in Beijing.

"The U.S.'s move exacerbates tensions in the region and increases the risk of misjudgment and miscalculation. We urge the U.S. to earnestly respect other countries' security concerns, stop stoking military confrontation, stop undermining peace and stability in the region, and take concrete actions to reduce strategic risks," Lin said.  6. Why Supremes urgently need to take vax mandate case - World Net Daily

Military chaplain tells WND: 'Thousands felt they had to violate deeply held religious beliefs

Next Friday, April 26, the U.S. Supreme Court will decide whether to accept the case of 38 Defense Department military chaplains who are challenging Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin’s implementation and enforcement of the Biden administration’s 2021 COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

WND spoke to Chaplain Milton Corby (a pseudonym), one of 38 chaplains in Alvarado v. Austin who filed a petition with the Supreme Court to challenge the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals’ dismissal of their claims for an injunction against continued retaliation for requesting religious accommodation, as well as the district court’s dismissal of their constitutional and statutory claims.
Corby spoke to WND using a pseudonym because of concern over reprisals.

Arthur A. Schulcz Sr., a retired Vietnam War veteran and lead attorney for the case, told WND the chaplains on March 21 filed an application for injunctive relief with the Supreme Court, asking the high court to protect them from the Defense Department’s continuing retaliatory actions for refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine due to their religious objection.

On April 26, the Supreme Court will make the decision to stay, or pause, the policies that have continued to impact chaplains like Corby.

"It’s important for the Supreme Court to pick up our case," Corby told WND, "because the Department of Defense has been picking and choosing winners and losers, deciding which religious accommodation they want to accept and which to deny." While serving as an Army chaplain for over 10 years, he has helped process religious accommodations not only for Christians, but for Jews, Muslims, paganists and others. (Read more here)

- We pray the Supreme Court will decide to honor the decision by these military personnel to NOT take part in this Covid vaccine.

The Daily Jot

The Metzora's Tongue

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, April 22, 2024

Along with all the name calling and labeling we hear in today’s society comes division. We are a nation divided. Christ said in Matthew 12:25, “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.” There are many who believe that because of this division the United States is on a severe decline, the likes of which Americans have never before experienced. Division is a terrible thing. Division tears apart husbands and wives, families, friends, churches, communities—you name it, when division seeps in, bad things happen. It comes down to whether you are part of the problem or part of the solution. And it usually starts with the tongue.

There is much written about speech in the Bible, Proverbs 18:21 says, “The tongue has the power over life and death, those who indulge in it must eat its fruit.” James writes, “And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.” Christ said in Matthew 15:11, “It is not what is entering into the mouth that defiles the man; but that going forth out of the mouth, this defiles the man.” Because we are made in the image of God, our words matter, God created and sanctified everything through His Word (John 1:1-3), and words are sacred.  Revelation 20:12 tells us that our words and deeds are recorded in the heavenly scrolls. If the World Sees Us Lack Resolve, ‘They Will Come with Guns Blazing,’ Johnson Warns
Americans woke up to plenty of terrifying headlines Sunday after Iran lobbed more than 300 missiles and drones at Israel. “The world stands at the brink of an all-out war,” The Telegraph insisted. Columbian President Gustavo Petro publicly despaired, calling the weekend’s attack “a prelude to World War III.” Here at home, President Joe Biden continued to walk a political tightrope, declaring his “ironclad commitment to the security of Israel,” while privately urging Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to suck it up and take whatever Iran dishes out.

Like most people watching the scene unfold, the editors at National Review can’t believe the White House’s suggestion that the Jewish state sit on its hands. “Any effort to impede Israel’s retaliation would be morally disgraceful and strategically inane,” they wrote. “… No nation could live under a situation in which another nation vowing to destroy it can threaten its population in this manner, and rest on the hope that it can meet every future attack with the same amount of success in shooting down weapons.”

On the Hill, leaders saw right through Biden’s cheap political ploy. This is a country, Rubio said of Israel, that has faced “constant existential threats to their existence on a repeated basis. … What I don’t understand is why Joe Biden and the administration would leak to the media, the contents of a conversation which he tells Netanyahu he doesn’t think that Netanyahu should respond at all,” unless, as he suspects, it’s to placate their pro-Palestine, anti-Semitic base. “It is the continuing part of the public game they are playing which frankly encourages Iran and Hezbollah.”

At the very least, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) told the press, Congress can finally finish the work of Israeli aid that he started more than five months ago. As Family Research Council President Tony Perkins pointed out on “This Week on the Hill,” the first substantive bill that the House passed after Johnson took the gavel was $14.5 billion in assistance for Israel — which the new speaker offset by cutting an IRS slush fund. Democrats voted against it. “And what has the Senate done with it?” Perkins asked Johnson.

“Well,” he replied, “nothing. It’s been sitting on [Schumer’s] desk. I tried again to do a clean Israel [bill] just a full unpaid for assistance. One hundred sixty-six House Democrats voted against it, and Joe Biden threatened to veto it. A clean Israel funding bill. They said no. That’s a pretty amazing thing.”

Even more incredible, Johnson invited Netanyahu to speak before a joint session of Congress, and Schumer refuses to authorize it — despite being the highest-ranking, longest-serving Jewish member of Congress. “It’s stunning, it really is,” the speaker agreed. What happened to Israel being a bipartisan issue, Perkins wanted to know? “Right,” Johnson replied. “The Democrats are turning their back on Israel now [from] the president on down.”

It’s all “deeply concerning” to Netanyahu, the speaker relayed after multiple conversations with the prime minister. “It’s almost unbelievable that the president has turned his back since October 7th on Israel. They’re leaning into the pro-Hamas, pro-protestor branch of their party. … [T]hey’re fearful of that wing of the party. And it’s a rising number of young progressives who are screaming that Israel is the enemy somehow. … You had 50 House Democrats just a few days ago, sent a letter saying that we should no longer have arms transfers to Israel so they can defend their very existence,” he pointed out. “It’s incredible.”
(World Net Daily) Read more here.
- Father God, we thank You for the wisdom released by Speaker Mike Johnson. Indeed, if our enemies perceive us to be weak, they will attack. We ask that You infuse all of our military leaders, in every branch of our military (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Space Force) with the wisdom You have shown our Speaker, and the courage to stand firm in the sight of our enemies. Thank You, O Lord, for blessing our people with men of courage as they work to protect our nation. In Your Name, Holy One, amen and amen!

- "You must not fear them, for the Lord your God Himself fights for you." (Deuteronomy 3:22)
Prayer Focus:

EMTALA: The Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act
Providing Emergency Treatment Even If You Can’t Pay

(Summary from the Justice Foundation)

-- Idaho has a restrictive abortion law, which prohibits abortions except in cases of rape, incest, or life of the mother

-- The federal government sued Idaho, saying its abortion law violates a Medicare hospital regulation from the 1980s (called the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act, EMTALA), which requires hospitals to treat patients who have a medical emergency, regardless of their ability to pay

--  The federal government's theory is wrong for numerous reasons. EMTALA does not require hospitals to perform abortions. In fact, it requires them to stabilize the pregnant woman and save the life of the baby if the woman is in labor. EMTALA never even mentions abortion. EMTALA is simply a Medicare provision that requires hospitals not to refuse treatment to indigent patient.
PRAYER POINTS:

> > Pray that the Supreme Court would be unanimous in upholding Idaho's law.

> > Pray that the Supreme Court directly addresses the persistent attempts to find a "right to abortion" in laws that have nothing to do with abortion. The Constitution has no "hidden right to abortion" and the EMTALA statute is not hiding a secret abortion mandate either.

>> Pray that the Court gives guidance that EMTALA requires saving the unborn child, therefore an abortion actually conflicts with EMTALA--the exact opposite of the HHS position.
Other Scriptures/Prayer Points

"“You shall not remove your neighbor’s landmark, which the men of old have set, in your inheritance which you will inherit in the land that the Lord your God is giving you to possess." (Deuteronomy 19:14)

Pray against the wicked precedent the EMTALA case ruling would provide if Justices permitted the Federal government to force emergency rooms to perform on demand abortions.(The boundary in question is the right to LIFE that’s clearly defined in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States

They even sacrificed their sons
And their daughters to demons,
38 And shed innocent blood,
The blood of their sons and daughters,
Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan;
And the land was polluted with blood.
39 Thus they
[a]were defiled by their own works,
And played
[b] the harlot by their own deeds.

40 Therefore the wrath of the Lord was kindled against His people,
So that He abhorred His own inheritance.
41 And He gave them into the hand of the Gentiles,
And those who hated them ruled over them.
42 Their enemies also oppressed them,
And they were brought into subjection under their hand.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.(1 John 1:9)

Prayer for repentance on behalf of our nation for allowing abortion to have come this far; coupled with hope!

"Then the LORD stretched out His hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me, “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth." (Jeremiah 1:9)

11-year-old’s beach find was likely largest known marine reptile to swim Earth’s oceans, scientists say

A massive jawbone found by a father-daughter fossil-collecting duo on a beach in Somerset along the English coast belonged to a newfound species that’s likely the largest known marine reptile to swim in Earth’s oceans.

Scientists consider the blue whale, which grows up to 110 feet (33.5 meters) long, to be the largest known animal ever to exist on the planet. But it’s possible that the 202 million-year-old reptile, known as an ichthyosaur or “fish lizard,” may have rivaled it in size.

The ichthyosaur’s jawbone, or surangular, was a long, curved bone at the top of the lower jaw just behind the teeth, and it measured more than 6.5 feet (2 meters) long. Researchers believe the creature, named Ichthyotitan severnensis, or “giant fish lizard of the Severn” in Latin, was more than 82 feet (25 meters) long, or the length of two city buses.

Justin and Ruby Reynolds, who live in Braunton, England, recovered the first pieces of the jawbone in May 2020 as they looked for fossils on the beach at Blue Anchor, Somerset. Ruby, 11 at the time, spotted the first chunk of bone, and then she and her dad found additional pieces together.

The remarkable find could shed more light on the prehistoric giant’s role in evolutionary history and the ocean ecosystem it called home, according to Marcello Perillo, a graduate student of evolutionary paleobiology at the University of Bonn in Germany. He is a coauthor of a new report describing the discovery that appeared Wednesday in the journal PLOS One.  Read More

Movement Day unites Lebanon’s Christians for a shared mission
Lebanon (MNN) — Lebanon is poised to be a strategic spiritual influence in the Middle East. Approximately one-third of the country identifies as Christian, and the laws safeguard religious freedom and equality. Many Christian groups in Lebanon have made progress sharing the Gospel among local Lebanese, Syrian refugees, and Palestinians. But so far, they have worked independently. The country’s first ever Movement Day recently mobilized Christian leaders for greater impact together. Hunter Williamson of Thimar-LSESD says, “This was a one-day conference that brought together more than 100 local Christian leaders from various sectors, including business media, NGOs, and churches.  The idea behind the event was to create a venue for local leaders to meet and collaborate in order to promote the Gospel throughout Lebanon. And it was also aimed at fostering unity.”

Movement Day is an initiative that has traveled around the world to connect local Christian leaders and help them start Gospel movements in their area. The conference was hosted in Beirut by the Supreme Council of Evangelical Community in Syria and Lebanon, which includes Thimar-LSESD, Heart For Lebanon, and other organizations. Speakers at the event emphasized the need to overcome group divisions and pursue a shared vision. During the day, representatives from more than 20 Christian NGOs met together for the first time and began planning how to better support each other moving forward.  The conference has come at a time when Lebanon finds itself in desperate need for hope and peace. Conflict continues between Israel and Hezbollah on the southern border. Civil war in Syria to the north and east has driven an estimated 1.5 million refugees into Lebanon. Meanwhile, more than half of Lebanese people live below the poverty line due to compounded crises. “All of these sort of initiatives and outcomes to find ways to better promote the gospel, to better provide hope to people, that is just so critical at this time,” Williamson says. - Father, we praise You for unity of Church leaders spreading the gospel within Lebanon!  Bless our brothers and sisters as they meet for "Movement Day" causing like-mindedness and strong connection with one another. May each be strengthened through this gathering to impart hope among their communities by sharing the love of Jesus Christ and the joy of salvation in Him! In Yeshua's mighty Name-Amen

- "Then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and one in mind" (Philippians 2:2)
Thought for the Day
"...It is the LORD'S Passover. For I will passover Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I AM THE LORD." (Ex. 12:11b &12)

The Sinner's Prayer
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."

Scripture: Teach me Thy way, O Lord. Psalm 86:11

Lyrics:
Teach me Thy way, O Lord,
Teach me Thy way!
Thy guiding grace afford,
Teach me Thy way!

Help me to walk aright,
More by faith, less by sight;
Lead me with heav’nly light,
Teach me Thy way!

When I am sad at heart,
Teach me Thy way!
When earthly joys depart,
Teach me Thy way!

In hours of loneliness,
In times of dire distress,
In failure or success,
Teach me Thy way!

When doubts and fears arise,
Teach me Thy way!
When storms o’erspread the skies,
Teach me Thy way!

Shine through the cloud and rain,
Through sorrow, toil and pain;
Make Thou my pathway plain,
Teach me Thy way!

Long as my life shall last,
Teach me Thy way!
Where’er my lot be cast,
Teach me Thy way!

Until the race is run,
Until the journey’s done,
Until the crown is won,
Teach me Thy way!
