Anti-Israel Protests Surge on US Campuses with Columbia Taking the Lead
|
|
Of those who have been arrested at Columbia and NYU, none will face criminal charges
Anti-Israel and antisemitic protests are spreading across U.S. college campuses, perversely energized by last week’s arrest of more than 100 students at Columbia University. More than 150 protesters were arrested at nearby New York University (NYU) on Monday.
The universities have done little to quell the unrest and the protesters have faced little in the way of disciplinary action, while Jewish students remain threatened.Of those arrested at Columbia and NYU, none will face criminal charges and all have been released, The New York Post reported on Wednesday.
“They’ll keep getting arrested and go back out and keep doing the same thing because this is all a performative game for them,” a law enforcement source told the paper. “It’s a game because the system doesn’t hold them accountable for their nightly temper tantrums.”
Columbia’s administration appeared to take a determined stand last week. On April 18, school president Minouche Shafik asked the New York City Police Department (NYPD) to enter university grounds and dismantle a so-called “Gaza Solidarity Encampment” that students had erected in the middle of campus and refused to take down.As police marched in, an officer repeated on a loudspeaker, “Since you have refused to disperse, you will now be placed under arrest for trespassing.” The protesters chanted: “Columbia, Columbia, you will see—Palestine will be free!” (JNS.org) Read more here. |

Congressman Confronts Columbia Univ. President with Genesis 12:3: "Do You Want to Be Cursed?"

At a House Education Committee hearing, Rep. Rick Allen (R-GA) grilled Columbia University President Minouche Shafik about her response to antisemitism on campus, framing his inquiry in decidedly Biblical terms.
“The oldest and most established democracy in the region, Israel exemplifies the core values of freedom and democracy,” Allen began. In fact, I tell my colleagues that Washington, D.C., is not the center of the universe; Jerusalem is.”
Allen then noted that under Shafik’s direction, Columbia has an undergraduate and graduate degree program from the School of Religion at Columbia University, and the Department of Religion at Columbia is affiliated with the Union Theological Seminary and the Jewish Theological Seminary.
“Are you familiar with Genesis 12:3?” Allen asked Shafik, an Egyptian-born American Muslim.
“Probably not as well as you are?” she answered.
“Well, it’s pretty clear it was the covenant that God made with Abraham,” Allen continued. And that covenant was really clear. If you bless Israel, I will bless you. If you curse Israel, I will curse you. And then in the New Testament, it was confirmed that all nations would be blessed through you. So you do not know about that?”
“I have heard that now that you’ve explained it,” Shifak answered.
“So you are familiar,” Allen said. “Did you consider that a serious issue? I mean, do you want Columbia University to be cursed by the God of the Bible?”
“Definitely not,” Shifak answered.
“Okay, well, that’s good,” Allen continued. “We got freedom of speech in this country and freedom of religion. Yet we also have Moses looking down on the entire body of Congress, who gave us the law, which most of our laws were made and are supposed to be enforced. came from the original law. And what we have today is a lawless land. We have lawless universities that are overrun by people who are threatening other students who are attacking other students and creating fear in this country. We have a constitution that requires us to treat other folks as we would like to be treated, which is also in the New Testament.”
“You don’t have to believe it, but you know, the Bible is an incredible book,” Allen said. “There’s a lot of history there. And you don’t have to believe it, but you need to know what’s in there. Maybe you should have a course suggested for those who are having problems with all of this, on the Bible. And what’s in the Bible in terms of what will happen if, you know under the wrath of God.”
“Young people are being indoctrinated by these professors to believe this stuff. And they have no idea that they’re gonna be cursed by God, the God of the Bible, and the God over our flag. What are your thoughts?” Allen asked of the panel. (Israel 365 News) Read more here.

On April 13, 2024, Iran launched an unprecedented direct attack against Israel, launching more than 300 missiles and UAVs against Israel. 99% of these inbound projectiles were shot down before they made it to Israeli airspace. Leading Rabbis and scientists are calling this defense against the Iranian attack “a miracle”. Why did this miracle take place? The God of Israel LOVES Israel and the Jewish people. They are the “apple of His eye”. And….there were millions of both Jews and Christians from all over the world who were watching and praying through the night…God heard their prayers and He answered marvelously!
There is great power in coming together in unity to pray for Israel. Israel is facing an existential threat from the enemies surrounding her: from Hamas in Gaza, from the Houthis in Yemen, from Hezbollah in Lebanon, and now, from Iran, the terrorist-sponsoring nation that is the “head of the snake.”
The Bible reveals to us that while there is a literal boots-on-the-ground war being waged, that simultaneously, there is also a spiritual war being waged. And it is a prayer that can turn the tide in favor of Israel. We see this in the battle that was fought against Amalek. While the troops engaged militarily, Moses was up on the hill with his arms extended heavenward in prayer. As long as his arms remained extended, the Israelis were winning the battle. As soon as his arms began to droop, the tide of the battle would turn against the children of Israel:

1. Israel intensifies strikes on Rafah ahead of threatened invasion - Reuters
CAIRO, April 25 (Reuters) - Israel stepped up airstrikes on Rafah overnight after saying it would evacuate civilians from the southern Gazan city and launch an all-out assault despite allies' warnings this could cause mass casualties.
Medics in the besieged Palestinian enclave reported five Israeli airstrikes on Rafah early on Thursday that hit at least three houses, killing at least six people including a local journalist.
"We are afraid of what will happen in Rafah. The level of alert is very high," Ibrahim Khraishi, the Palestinian ambassador to the United Nations, told Reuters on Thursday. (Read more)

2. Smotrich threatens to topple PA if ICC, UN take unilateral action against Israel - JNS
Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich on Thursday threatened to crush the Palestinian Authority (P.A.) financially if certain unilateral actions are brought against Israel in the international arena.
In an open letter to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Smotrich warned that if any decision is made by the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague to unilaterally issue arrest warrants against Israeli citizens, or “a decision is made unilaterally in the [United Nations] General Assembly to recognize a Palestinian state, I will unilaterally and immediately stop the transfer of all funds to the P.A.”
Smotrich was referring to a recent Channel 12 report that the ICC was considering issuing arrest warrants for senior Israeli officials with the tacit approval of the United States.
Earlier this month, the P.A. submitted a request to the U.N. Security Council to accept it as a full member, a move Israel said would be a reward for terror. (Read more)

3. Israeli official: As far as Israel is concerned, the offer is for 33 hostages - Israel National News
An Israeli official stressed on Thursday evening that the latest Israeli offer to Hamas is for the release of 33 hostages and not 20 as was reported earlier.
"As far as Israel is concerned, this is about 33 hostages from the categories of women, soldiers, adults, the sick, including mentally disabled, and wounded," the source said.
In addition, as part of the effort to reach a deal, the Cabinet on Thursday authorized the negotiation team to hold talks with the Egyptian delegation that will arrive in Israel on Friday.
According to the outline published on Thursday evening, Israel will not declare the end of the war. Channel 12 News reported that the price for the deal that Israel will pay will be very heavy, but the military censor is not permitting further details to be published at this time. (Read more)

The Pentagon is aware of reports that a small number of mortars landed in the vicinity of the marshalling yard area for humanitarian assistance that will eventually be the delivery site off the coast of Gaza.
The Pentagon is tracking some type of mortar attack causing minimal damage in the vicinity of the marshaling yard area for US delivery of humanitarian aid off the coast of Gaza, Spokesperson Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder said on Thursday afternoon.
Ryder said it’s important to highlight this occurred before any US forces started moving any supplies and no US assets were damaged. It’s unclear if any Israeli assets sustained damage. (Read more)

5. Israeli Archaeologists Uncover 2,000-Year-Old Token Used at Zerubbabel's Temple - Christian Headline
A 2,000-year-old ancient clay token uncovered near the temple mount in Jerusalem likely was used by Jewish pilgrims traveling to the city as money to “exchange for offerings during their sacred visits,” according to the organization that is studying it and other items.
The clay token features a “seal imprint of a wine jar accompanied by a Greek inscription” and was “likely associated in some way with the activities that took place in the Temple” during the centuries prior to Christ’s birth, according to the Temple Mount Sifting Project.
The Second Temple is sometimes called “Zerubbabel’s temple” and was destroyed by the Romans in 70 A.D., leaving only the western wall.

1.The Campuses are a Time Bomb Ticking in America – Discern Report
One of the signs spotted in the anti-Semitic mob at NYU on Monday read “Capitalism Is Deadly.”
Such a placard taking one side in an ethno-religious dispute over land strikes as a non sequitur (as does, perhaps, the intense interest here over a dispute so far away). The context of history shows that the linkage of these two seemingly disparate categories of ethno-religious, on the one hand, and economic ideology, on the other, though it may come across as out of place, occurs as anything but unusual. Demagogues over the decades use class resentments to stoke anti-Semitism and the seductive power of socialism to peg Jews as the bourgeoisie holding down the proletariat.
One need not operate as a modern-day Herodotus to deduce when in modern history did a movement meld anti-capitalism with anti-Semitism to gin up torch-bearing mobs as we saw Monday evening on cable news. This ideological/ethno-religious alchemy results in a fool’s gold in which Jews morph from people into dehumanized villains deserving of whatever provides catharsis to the angry mob. While invoking the imagery of yellow stars, gas chambers, and concentration camps falls on the side of hyperbole, one need not appeal to 80 or so years ago, but rather to seven or so months ago when Hamas slaughtered unarmed civilians to illustrate that ideas have consequences. Allowing bad ideas to go unchallenged, as sensible people have done on the campuses for decades, clearly unleashes consequences as well. (Read more)

2. Supreme Court Hears Trump’s Presidential Immunity Plea – The Epoch Times
The High Court oon Thursday weighed whether Trump was immune from prosecution in the Federal election case in a decision that could delay his trials further into the year. The Supreme Court heard oral arguments yesterday over former President Donald Trump’s claim that he’s immune from criminal prosecution for official acts he undertook while in office.
Besides altering longstanding precedent, the decision could bear and delay the criminal prosecutions President Trump is facing before the election.
An appeals court in Washington rejected his attempt to claim immunity in the Justice Department’s prosecution of his activity on Jan. 6 and in response to the 2020 presidential election. The Supreme Court is set to review that decision and potentially establish a broader definition of presidential immunity.
Amid the options available to the justices are redefining the scope of immunity while sending the case back to the district court for reconsideration. It could also outright reject either President Trump’s claims to immunity, or Special Counsel Jack Smith’s argument that he doesn’t enjoy immunity from criminal prosecution. (Read more)

3. Five Key Questions for Supreme Court in Trump’s Immunity Appeal – The Epoch Times
The court will likely wrestle with separation of powers, the definition of “official acts”, and how curbing immunity could affect executive decision-making. The Supreme Court is set to hear oral arguments on April 25 in President Donald Trump’s appeal arguing that he is immune from criminal prosecution in the case brought by special counsel Jack Smith.
The top court will examine what presidential immunity covers and how it should affect the nation’s separation of powers in future administrations.
Prior cases haven’t definitively established whether presidents enjoy immunity from prosecution over alleged criminal acts. Instead, the court has historically upheld a level of presidential independence and ruled in the 1982 decision of Nixon v. Fitzgerald that a president enjoys absolute immunity from civil liability for acts that fall within the “outer perimeter” of his official duties.
President Trump has argued that immunity should extend to alleged criminal acts. Special counsel Jack Smith and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit were concerned, however, that widening the scope of immunity that far would undermine the separation of powers and allow presidents to get away with egregious wrongdoing.
The circuit court ultimately rejected President Trump’s immunity request in a unanimous decision.

According to the absurd numbers that the government feeds us, the unemployment rate is very low and there are lots of jobs available. But if what they are telling us is true, why are so many Americans not able to find work? As you will see below, some people haven’t been hired even though they have literally applied for hundreds of jobs. There seems to be an enormous disconnect between what is actually happening in the real economy and the economic narrative that they are constantly pushing. 5. Watch: NYU Pro-Palestine Protesters Have no Idea What They are Protesting – ZeroHedge
NYU is one of several campuses where so called ‘Gaza camps’ have been formed with students refusing to disperse. Yet it seems that the students don’t really know what they are doing it for.
In the footage below, the videographer asks one of the protesters “What would you say is the main goal with tonight’s protest.”
She responds “I think the goal is just showing our support for Palestine and demanding that NYU stops – I honestly don’t know all of what NYU is doing.”
The student then asks her friend “do you know what they are doing?” To which the other (masked) student responds “I wish I was more educated.”
“I’m not either,” the first protestor then admits, claiming that she came from Columbia University after she was told to.

Americans believe in peaceful protests for a just cause, not mindless chaos. This violence is a direct result of the students' being manipulated by false leaders. Jewish students have become fearful of going to class or any other functions on campus.

6. Lawless Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs Vetoes Bill to Require Proof of Residency for Voting – The Gateway Pundit
Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs on Tuesday vetoed legislation that would define residency in Arizona and require proof of residency, such as a home rental agreement or ownership, to vote in the state’s elections.
Hobbs stole the 2022 election for Governor from Kari Lake, and she is getting ready to rig the 2024 election for Joe Biden.
SB 2581 stipulates that “a resident is an individual who has actual physical presence in the state for at least one hundred eighty-one days with the intent to remain” but provides exceptions for individuals to vote if they provide evidence of employment, residential property, child school enrollment, and active duty military service.
Hobbs’ veto comes as flyers instructing illegal immigrants to vote for Joe Biden in the forthcoming U.S. election have been reportedly distributed at a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Mexico, according to an investigation by The Oversight Project, a watchdog initiative linked to the Heritage Foundation.
Additionally, voters are not required to show proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections on a “federal only” ballot. (Read more)

7. El Paso DA Indicts 140 Illegal Aliens on Rioting Charges After Leftist County Judge Dismissed Their Case – The Gateway Pundit
The District Attorney for El Paso, Bill Hicks, has indicted 140 illegal aliens on rioting charges after a leftist county judge attempted to dismiss the case against them.
El Paso Times reports that Hicks presented the charges to a grand jury on Tuesday after El Paso County Judge Ruben Morales dismissed the charges on grounds of lack of probable cause.
Hicks explained:
We took all 141 of those cases to a grand jury this morning. Because the judge’s ruling was limited to the complaint affidavit in front of him, it allowed us to take the broader case to the grand jury.
We presented the case as a whole. We presented videotape evidence of what happened. The grand jurors believed there was, in fact, probable cause. The citizens of El Paso, through the grand jury, essentially overruled the judge’s ruling and found probable cause to believe that the riots did occur.
Traditionally, we reserve the grand jury for felony indictment, and we don’t take misdemeanors to a grand jury. However, when there is a question regarding probable cause, I believe it is fair to take these cases to 12 citizens of our community. (Read more) |

- Bless You, Father, for this wonderful news! Thank You that El Paso D.A., Bill Hicks, had the wisdom to bring the case, with ample evidence, before the grand jury. Thank You that the jurors were able to recognize and act on the truth of the matter. May Judge Morales and other left-leaning judges that ignore the laws and evidence and release the perpetrators, be disbarred at the least. They are not protecting the American people, nor seeking justice but are acting on what seems expeditious in their own eyes (or their handler’s). May citizens of the USA both pray and demand that the laws of the land be upheld by the Justice System as the Constitution intended.

8. Biden Proposes Highest Capitol Gains Tax in Over 100 years – Discern Report
According to Biden’s 2025 budget proposal the top marginal rate on long-term capital gains and qualified dividends would rise to 44.6%.
The proposal, which marks the highest tax increase since the creation of the capital gains tax in 1922, could significantly curtail the financial returns of investors in stocks and crypto.
“For example, a taxpayer with $1,100,000 in taxable income of which $200,000 is preferential capital income would have $100,000 of capital income taxed at the preferential rate and $100,000 taxed at ordinary rates,” the proposal states.
Additionally, the proposal when combined with state capital gains tax would exceed 50% in many (mostly blue) states and would not account for inflation’s erosion of purchasing power. (Read more)

Dismantling The Deep State

The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has taken steps to solidify the deep state (administrative state) by publishing a final rule that protects government employees from losing their jobs in the event of administration changes after a presidential election. The new rule is in response to former President Trump’s efforts when he was president to remove government employees who were advancing the administrative state rather than serving the will of the people. The OPM’s new rule protects thousands of government employees that Trump may have fired due to their efforts to use federal agencies to undermine laws, constitutional rights, and impose undue regulation and bureaucracy on citizens.
Trump had created a “Schedule F” to reclassify thousands of government employees as political appointees, making it easier to fire them. The OPM stated, “In the first week of the Biden-Harris Administration, President Biden revoked an Executive Order issued by the previous Administration that risked altering our country’s long-standing merit-based civil service system, by creating new excepted service schedule, known as “Schedule F,” and directing agencies to move potentially large swathes of career employees into this new excepted service status. This attempt would have stripped career civil servants of their civil service protections that ensure that decisions to hire and fire are based on merit, not political considerations.” What it really does is cauterize the employment of leftists seeking to undermine the Republic. The Churches are Sleeping: When Did "Woke" Pulpits Become the Norm?

In 2 Thessalonians 2:3, Paul also prophesized and warned: "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?"
This apostasy or rebellion is when people turn from their faith.
Sleeping Churches
I used to wonder how it would ever happen. What would this look like? I have had a passion for Bible prophecy for years. However, reading and studying Bible prophecy and seeing it lived out before your eyes is totally different. It is extremely exciting to live in a day when so many prophetic events are converging, yet when I speak with my peers, many pastors and churches are sleeping, not concerned about the events unfolding right before us.
I routinely have people attend my church who say they have been searching for a church that would preach the truth about the day we live in. They say they have been trying to find a pastor who will speak about what's happening in the world. People regularly tell me the only pastors they can discover who go deep into God's word and explain how it applies to what's happened in our world today are online. They can't find a physical church where they can be part of a real like-minded community of believers who understand the days we live in.
To my fault, I have heard these voices, but I have been slow to acknowledge how correct they are. I didn't want to fully acknowledge that our Christian pulpits have gone silent at a time when we need to be blowing the trumpet the loudest. (Prophecy News Watch) Read more here.

Byron Stinson Shares Miracle of God’s Protection
Amid Missile Attack

In a recent interview with Charisma News, Byron Stinson shared his firsthand experience of God’s protection over Israel during a missile attack from Iran. Stinson, currently in Israel, recounted the event, saying, “When Iran sent missiles into attack Israel just a few days ago… I slept nine hours, and when I got up, it was the most peaceful morning that I’ve experienced here in a long time.” Despite the ongoing threats and attacks, Stinson emphasized his unwavering faith in God’s protective hand over Israel. “I’ve been here in Israel for many years, and there’s been many attacks of rockets… but what I look for is how many actually hit something. In 2014, out of 5,000 rockets, only one hit something,” he shared.
Stinson is also deeply involved in bringing red heifers to Israel, which have garnered global attention. He sees these red heifers as a physical manifestation of biblical prophecies. “The red heifers, this perfect red heifer, caught the world’s attention… God intends to bring about a physical kingdom of God on Earth,” Stinson says. While many hoped the red heifer ceremony would occur soon, it has faced delays. Yet Stinson remains optimistic about its occurrence in the future.
