Break the spell of that which blinds our minds. Purify our hearts that we may see thee. Lord, we thank You for the heart of Martin Luther King Jr. and his powerful prayer life. Although decades later, this collection of prayers can again be lifted for the days we are currently living in our nation. We praise You for hearing the prayers of Your saints and we ask for Your double portion of blessings and protection over the United States of America, President Trump, Israel and the Body of Christ. Guide each of us during these unprecedented times, as we lift prayer according to Your Holy Spirit, for solely Your holy will, plans and purposes to prevail across our nation and around the world! Trump rolls out ‘Great Healthcare Plan,’ urges Congress to slash costs for Americans
|
|
President Donald Trump unveiled his new " Great Healthcare Plan" Thursday, and urged Congress to create and pass legislation with the provisions included in an attempt to lower healthcare costs for Americans.
The plan, which comes amid a big push from the White House to focus on affordability issues for Americans, calls on Congress to get behind a series of provisions outlined in the plan that stem largely from previous executive orders the president has signed during this term.
Specifically, the "Great Healthcare Plan" calls on Congress to codify Trump’s most "favored nations drug pricing" initiative that instructs drug companies to lower costs and keep them in alignment with what drugs in other developed countries cost, according to a White House fact sheet. Trump issued an executive order on the matter in May.
The plan also aims to maximize price transparency, and require providers or insurers to take Medicare or Medicaid to "prominently post their pricing and fees in their place of business and ensure insurance companies are complying with price transparency requirements," according to the fact sheet. Venezuela Opposition Leader Maria Corina Machado Presents Trump with Her Nobel Peace Prize
|
|
President Donald Trump on Thursday greeted Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado at the White House where she presented him with her Nobel Peace Prize medal, which he accepted.
Machado, leader of the Venezuela’s center-right Vente Venezuela party, was awarded the medal, which Trump heavily campaigned for, last year for her work to promote democratic rights in her South American nation.
“It was a Great Honor to meet Maria Corina Machado, of Venezuela, today,” Trump said on his Truth Social platform. “She is a wonderful woman who has been through so much. Maria presented me with her Nobel Peace Prize for the work I have done. Such a wonderful gesture of mutual respect.”
In presenting the medal to Trump, she said it is a symbol of the unity of their two peoples on the ideals of freedom, sovereignty and democratic dignity.
“It is also a profound expression of gratitude for the invaluable support of President Trump and the United States for the Venezuelan people in this decisive struggle for our independence and the restoration of popular sovereignty,” she said, according to a statement from her Vente Venezuela party. US freezes all visa processing for 75 countries, including Somalia, Russia, Iran
|
|
The State Department is pausing all visa processing for 75 countries in an effort to crack down on applicants deemed likely to become a public charge.
A State Department memo, seen first by Fox News Digital, directs consular officers to refuse visas under existing law while the department reassesses screening and vetting procedures.
The countries include Somalia, Russia, Afghanistan, Brazil, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Nigeria, Thailand, Yemen and more.
The pause will begin Jan. 21 and will continue indefinitely until the department conducts a reassessment of visa processing.
Somalia has drawn heightened scrutiny from federal officials following a sweeping fraud scandal centered in Minnesota, where prosecutors uncovered massive abuse of taxpayer-funded benefit programs. Many of those involved are Somali nationals or Somali-Americans. (Fox News) Read more here. |

Renee Good’s former father-in-law says deadly shooting was result of 'bad choices'
|
|
The former father-in-law of Renee Nicole Good is urging anti-ICE agitators to turn to prayer rather than rage after her death.
Tim Macklin Sr., whose son was previously married to Good, said he does not blame anyone involved in the shooting and instead views the tragedy as the result of a series of "bad choices."
Macklin said the incident reflects a broader moral breakdown, warning the nation will keep fighting itself unless people return to faith.
"I have no blame for anybody. I want to be a peacemaker," Macklin said Friday on "Fox & Friends."
"I heard somebody say earlier that this is a spiritual warfare, and it is, it's not political, it's spiritual," he added. (Fox News) Read more here.

An unusually blunt statement from the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s criticized the appointments to the Gaza Executive Board announced by the White House on Friday, exposing a clear difference with U.S. administration of President Donald Trump over who will govern the Palestinian enclave.
“The announcement regarding the composition of the Gaza Executive Board, operating under the Peace Conference, was made without coordination with Israel and runs counter to Israel’s policy. The Prime Minister has instructed the Foreign Minister to raise the issue directly with the U.S. Secretary of State."
The statement referred to one of two bodies unveiled by the White House on Friday. The first of these was named the "founding Executive Board", which will be staffed with the likes of U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, former British prime minister Sir Tony Blair and World Bank president Ajay Banga. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s right-wing coalition partners on Saturday rallied behind the premier after he voiced opposition to the composition of President Donald Trump’s Gaza Executive Board.
“The countries that resuscitated Hamas cannot be the ones that replace it. Those that support it and continue to host it even now will not be given a foothold in Gaza. Period,” tweeted Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, referring to the inclusion of Qatar and Turkey.
“Our brave fighters did not risk their lives in a tremendous national mobilization just to swap one problem for another,” Smotrich wrote. “The prime minister must insist on this, even if it requires managing a dispute with our great friend and with President Trump’s envoys.” (Read more)

When Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called US President Donald Trump last week, the Iran attack was delayed.
Part of the reason that Netanyahu asked for a delay was that Israel was caught off guard at the speed at which Washington suddenly seemed ready to attack, according to foreign reports.
As of Tuesday, those foreign reports said, there was still significant uncertainty about what Trump would do.
At the time, top Israeli officials understood that the regime had already killed at least between 2,000 and 3,000 of their own people, mostly on Thursday and Friday, January 8-9, a big jump from the death totals until then, which were estimated in the 400-500 range. (Read more)

4. IDF uncovers Hamas plans for invasion of Israeli towns in Judea and Samaria

Israeli forces operating in the Gaza Strip have uncovered official Hamas documents suggesting the terror organization had undertaken extensive planning for multiple attacks on Israeli towns in Judea and Samaria in the seam line area on the border, Channel 12 News reported on Friday.
This is not the first time Israel’s military has obtained Hamas’ internal communiques regarding possible October 7-style invasions of Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria.
However, the trove of documents shows extensive planning between Hamas officials and officers for a potential series of invasions of Israeli towns in Judea and Samaria.
The memos recovered show that senior Hamas officials were involved in the planning process. (Read more)

5. Hezbollah leader says Israeli strikes ‘cannot continue’ - JNS
Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem said on Saturday that the Iranian-backed terrorist group will not disarm, that “the aggression against Lebanon cannot continue” and “we have the right to defend ourselves.”
His comments, made during a televised address broadcast on Iranian media, come against the backdrop of continued Israeli strikes on Hezbollah targets in Southern Lebanon nearly 14 months after a U.S.-brokered ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon ended more than a year of cross-border fighting.
Israeli troops from the Israel Defense Forces’ Multi-Dimensional Unit have wrapped up a two-month mission in Southern Lebanon aimed at preventing Hezbollah from entrenching along the border. Operating under the 91st Division, the unit gathered intelligence, located enemy infrastructure and directed fire, helping ground and air forces dismantle Hezbollah positions and kill or capture operatives, the military said on Sunday. 1. Minnesota AG says 'there is no statute of limitations on murder' after fatal ICE shooting of Renee Good - Fox News
Following the fatal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)-involved shooting of Renee Nicole Good last Wednesday in Minneapolis, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison emphasized that "there is no statute of limitations on murder," suggesting the agent involved could face charges at a later date if political leadership changes.
During a Thursday appearance on "The Jim Acosta Show," Ellison asserted that "there is no absolute immunity" for the agent who shot and killed Good, contradicting Vice President JD Vance’s claim following the shooting.
"For anyone watching your show, Jim, there is no absolute immunity. It's untrue. And there is no statute of limitations on murder, by the way," he told Acosta. "And that's something that they should keep in mind because they're not always going to be in power, and we will make the justice system operate on the basis of fairness, justice and truth one day again."
The day after Good was shot, Vance told reporters at a press conference that the ICE agent involved "is protected by absolute immunity" because he is a federal agent and "was doing his job."
Following up on Ellison's assertion, Acosta said, "And if you have to wait until 2029, so be it," seeming to imply that a presidential win for Democrats in 2028 could lead to the agent's prosecution.
"That's what it is, you know what I mean?" Ellison concurred. "There's a reason why a statute of limitations on murder doesn't exist. It's because when you snatch a person's life away, it leaves an indelible print on everyone around them. People can't unsee this." (Read more)

It is hard to do the job of law enforcement under such threats, and they serve to sometimes quench the ability to do the job, or cause people to leave the service. 2. Trump says no need to invoke Insurrection Act ‘right now’ amid anti-ICE unrest in Minnesota- Fox News
President Donald Trump on Friday said there wasn't a reason, in the present, to invoke the Insurrection Act, as agitators continue to clash with federal immigration authorities carrying out enforcement operations in Minneapolis.
Trump was departing the White House when he was asked about the 1807 law, which he threatened to invoke earlier this week.
"I believe it was Bush, the elder Bush, he used it, I think 28 times," Trump told reporters. "It's been used a lot. And if I needed it, I'd use it. I don't think there's any reason right now to use it, but if I needed it, I'd use it. It's very powerful."
The law allows the president to deploy the military to suppress rebellions and enforce federal laws. It would grant Trump the authority to federalize the National Guard and deploy active duty forces to restore order. It would temporarily override the Posse Comitatus Act, which normally restricts the use of the military for domestic law enforcement. (Read more)

3. UN seeks to redefine ‘children’s rights’ to promote abortion, gender ideology- Life Site News
The United Nations is seeking to undermine parental rights and children’s safety by redefining “children’s rights” to include abortion access and the promotion of the LGBT ideology.
From January 12-30, the U.N. Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) is meeting to discuss implementing their newly developed Convention on the Rights of the Child, which includes a draft policy promoting abortion and gender-confusion on children.
“Mechanisms should treat the claims made by girls in an equal manner as other children, sensitive to their specific experiences, and address any discrimination in access on the basis of gender, for example, by refraining from imposing any requirement for approval by a male family member, especially for claims related to sexual and reproductive health and rights,” draft general comment No. 27 declared.
The draft promised to address various alleged “child rights violations” by ensuring “effective access to safe abortion services for adolescent girls.”
Later, the draft promised to protect the rights of “lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex children.” It further called on states to “take a gender-transformative approach, including by recognizing the gendered nature of certain rights violations and properly investigating related claims.” (Read more)

4. Biden DHS's purchase of weapon linked to Havana Syndrome attacks leads House Republicans to demand answers - Fox News
The Biden administration purchased a pulsed energy weapon suspected of being the type that may have caused "Havana Syndrome" which caused a series of mysterious ailments for U.S. diplomats and government workers in Cuba.
The weapon was bought at the end of the Biden administration and has since been tested by the Pentagon, Fox News has learned. House Republicans are demanding answers amid reports of the purchase of the device.
In a letter to Homeland Security Kristi Noem, House Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Andrew Garbarino, R-N.Y., is asking for information on the procurement process for the weapon, its costs and the findings associated with its year-long testing related to Havana Syndrome, officially known as Anomalous Health Incidents (AHI).
"The device in question is described as capable of producing pulsed radio waves and containing Russian components, though it is supposedly not entirely Russian in origin," the letter states. "Following HSI’s successful acquisition of the device, it was reportedly transferred to DoW, which spent more than a year testing the device and its capabilities."
Some U.S. intelligence agencies have said a foreign adversary could be behind the mysterious ailment. (Read more)

5. Unearthed filing shows top teachers union funneling millions to far left orgs: 'Social justice unionism' - Fox News
One of the nation’s most prominent teachers unions funneled millions of dollars in union funds to far-left activist groups, ballot initiatives and social justice organizations, according to federal labor filings.
A November Form L-2 disclosure from the National Education Association (NEA) filed in November and obtained by the North American Values Institute (NAVI) shows 2024 fiscal year spending that involved millions given to social justice-oriented groups and far-left causes.
The NEA, which boasts more than 3 million members, sent $300,000 to the Sixteen Thirty Fund, a liberal dark money group Fox News Digital has reported on extensively, and tens of thousands of dollars to the Tides Foundation network, which Fox News Digital previously reported has ties to anti-Israel protests and a variety of far left causes.
Among the largest expenditures was more than $3.5 million sent to Education International, a global teachers federation where NEA President Becky Pringle serves as a vice president. The filing also details hundreds of thousands of dollars flowing to organizations backing ballot initiatives aimed at reshaping education policy and election laws in states, including Ohio, Massachusetts, Arizona and Wisconsin.’” (Read more)

6. With Little Help on Horizon, Cuban Regime Increasingly Isolated – The Epoch Times
Cuba is on the verge of economic collapse, and there’s no immediate relief on tap from longtime patron Russia or Cuba’s biggest trading partner, China.
Its tenuous ties to nearby Mexico are likely to be severed soon, leaving the island nation seemingly out of options for replacing the discounted oil it imported from Venezuela to fuel its economy and provide the communist regime with hard currency.
But there is, perhaps, a solution being dangled by the oil’s new proprietor, the United States.
“There will be no more oil or money going to Cuba—Zero! I strongly suggest they make a deal, before it’s too late,” President Donald Trump wrote on Jan. 11 on Truth Social, mostly in all caps.
The president didn’t elaborate on what such a deal would entail, but Secretary of State Marco Rubio, whose parents left Cuba for Florida in the 1950s, outlined a possible arrangement during a Jan. 9 White House meeting with oil executives.
“The people in control in Cuba have a choice to make,“ Rubio said. ”They can either have a real country with a real economy, where their people can prosper, or they can continue with their failing dictatorship that’s going to lead to systemic and societal collapse.” (Read more)

Activist educators are hijacking MLK Day — and Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy — with 'Palestine teach-in'
|

|
For decades, K–12 schools across the United States have honored the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in a way that reflected both his values and his example. On MLK Day, children have volunteered at food pantries, assembled hygiene kits for shelters, cleaned up local parks and donated books to libraries.
The message was simple and powerful: citizenship requires service, and freedom comes with responsibility.
After 15 years of advocacy, President Ronald Reagan signed the King Holiday Bill into law in 1983, establishing the third Monday in January as a federal holiday. It was meant to be a unifying moment in American civic life — a day to reflect on our shared values, our progress and the work still left to do.
Today, that legacy is under assault.
In New York City, a radical teachers’ group calling itself “NYC Educators for Palestine” is hosting a “Palestine teach-in” on MLK Day for children as young as 6 years old. Similar efforts are cropping up in other cities, including Philadelphia.
These events are not about service. They are not about Dr. King’s vision of nonviolence, pluralism or moral clarity. They are about ideological indoctrination — using a sacred day in American civil-rights history to push a one-sided, inflammatory political agenda onto children.
The group’s own materials make their intentions clear — falsely claiming that Israel is occupying “historic Palestine.” Students will be taught “Palestinian history and culture,” along with lessons on the “origins of Zionism.”
This is not neutral education. It is activism, dressed up as pedagogy. And it is particularly cynical given that Dr. King himself was a proud supporter of Israel and Zionism, viewing the Jewish people’s right to self-determination as fully compatible with the fight for black civil rights.
This year marks 42 years since MLK Day became a federal holiday. It took decades of effort to secure that recognition and to ensure that Dr. King’s contributions to America would be honored, not distorted. And yet, here we are, watching his legacy be repurposed by activists who neither share his values nor respect his history.

Father God, we thank You that this agenda has now come to light. We ask that You would stir the hearts of parents whose children are being invited to participate in this "Palestine Teach-In" day. May they step forward and take action to stop this event from taking place, and may they also work to be sure that their own children are prevented from attending this "Palestine Teach-In" Day. Let is be so, O Lord, let it be so!

Denmark's foreign minister says Trump has a point on China and Russia's threat to Greenland

Lars Løkke Rasmussen warned a US invasion of Greenland would mean 'the end of NATO'

Denmark's foreign minister admitted he shares concerns with President Donald Trump and U.S. officials over Greenland's vulnerability to Chinese and Russian influence despite his firm opposition to a U.S. takeover.
"There's absolutely no Chinese footprint in Greenland," Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen said on "Special Report" Wednesday. "Having said that … there's always a bit of truth in what he [Trump] is saying.
"We definitely share the concern that [the] Arctic is not any longer a low-tension region. And, of course, we have to be aware of that. And that's why we have invested almost $15 billion U.S. dollars last year in capabilities in Greenland." (Fox News) Read more here

A new video from Japan’s maritime authorities captures an underwater volcano bursting through the sea surface in a violent plume of ash, steam and rock, turning a patch of open ocean into a churning cauldron. Shot near the remote island of Iwo Jima, the footage shows the moment a submarine vent punches skyward, a reminder that some of the planet’s most powerful eruptions begin out of sight, on the seafloor. The spectacle is visually stunning, but it also underlines how restless this corner of the Pacific remains and why scientists watch it so closely.
I see this eruption as part of a longer story about a small island with an outsized place in history and geology, where the same forces that once shaped a World War II battlefield are still actively building new land. The latest images are not just viral clips, they are data points in a pattern of submarine activity that has been intensifying around Iwo Jima over the past few years.

The latest video, described as Amazing footage taken by Japan’s Coast Guard, shows a tight column of dark material blasting out of the sea near Iwo Jima, followed by rolling clouds of steam as seawater flashes to vapor. In the clip, the eruption appears to come in pulses, each burst sending debris higher and widening the roiling patch of ocean around the vent. The scene is chaotic but clearly structured, with a central jet of ash and gas surrounded by concentric rings of discolored, boiling water that mark where magma is interacting directly with the sea.
