Messianic Jews in Jerusalem Return to Worship Together After Weeks of Iranian Missiles
|
|
With news of a ceasefire in the war between Israel and Iran, the prospect of returning to synagogues and churches for worship in the Holy Land inspired a Messianic Jewish congregation in Jerusalem to gather again for worship on Sunday night. Giving heartfelt thanks to God, the Israel Defense Forces, and faithful people who returned to their house of prayer in Jerusalem, leaders praised the congregation's members during their first in-person worship service in nearly two weeks. After 12 days of conflict, King of Kings Community Jerusalem (KKCJ), a church in the heart of the Holy City, welcomed back worshippers who heeded restrictions on public gatherings across Israel from the Homefront Command.
When Israel launched airstrikes on Iran's military and nuclear sites on June 13, Tehran's retaliatory strikes with ballistic missiles sent worshippers to bomb shelters where many prayed for divine protection. Reading portions of Scripture on the theme of faith from the Torah and New Covenant, a leader from the Jerusalem congregation followed with thanksgiving to God. Randall Ford expressed gratitude to God for surrounding Israel's citizens with protection over the last couple of weeks – and longer – like the mountains surround Jerusalem. "You surround your people, proving once again that you are Shomer Israel – the keeper of Israel," Ford said. For a great, unexpected, and quick victory over Iran, a sworn enemy of Israel, Ford offered praise and thanks to God. "Thank you for ending this terrible threat to the world – Iran's nuclear weapons," said Ford. (CBN)

- Abba Father, we praise You for watching over our brothers and sisters in Christ across Israel and in Iran. You are our faithful God who both rescues and restores lives. We thank You for the opportunity for believers to gather and worship in the midst of difficulty and we ask for You to heal their minds, hearts and souls. We pray for a release of Your Holy Spirit so saints may be strengthened to press forward, while sharing testimonies of the living Christ to those around them. We declare Your SHALOM and hedge of protection over each of them, as we cry-out together to our Jehovah Nissi, 'the Lord is our banner'. In the powerful Blood of Yeshua, we pray- Amen and Amen.
- "May we shout for joy over your salvation, and in the name of our God set up our banners. May the LORD fulfill all your petitions!" (Psalm 20:5)

Republican congressman reunites with daughters after Texas camp flooding, thanks ‘countless heroes’
|
|
A Republican lawmaker said he was reunited with his two daughters who were attending a Christian summer camp that was destroyed when deadly flooding swept through Central Texas over the weekend.
Rep. August Pfluger, R-Texas, said his two daughters were evacuated from Camp Mystic, a camp along the banks of the Guadalupe River in Hunt, Texas.
"Camille, Vivian and I are now reunited with Caroline and Juliana who were evacuated from Camp Mystic," Pfluger said of his family. "The last day has brought unimaginable grief to many families and we mourn with them as well as holding out hope for survivors." (Source: Fox News) (Read more)

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz said Monday that “everyone would agree in hindsight, if we could go back and do it again, we would evacuate” the people in the most vulnerable areas of central Texas that were slammed by flooding.
“The young children in the cabins closest to the water. We would remove them and get them to higher ground if we could go back and do it again, obviously everyone would," Cruz said. “The people in RVs, by the river's edge. We know in disasters like this, RVs and mobile homes are particularly susceptible, whether a flood or hurricane or a tornado, they're particularly susceptible to that.”
"And so my hope is in time, we will learn some lessons to implement [for] next time,” Cruz added. “And there will be another flood. There will be another disaster. But next time there's a flood, I hope we have in place processes to remove especially the most vulnerable from harm's way. But I think that's going to be a process that will take a careful examination of what happened and how can we implement processes better in the future to prevent this same loss of life.”
“We know the National Weather Service put out an emergency warning just after 1 a.m. and a second emergency warning just after 4 a.m.. Now, obviously, most people at 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. are asleep. And so I think we will have a reasonable conversation about... are there any ways to have earlier detection and some of that -- the limits of a flash flood -- they're very difficult because they can arise so quickly,” Cruz also said.

Camp Mystic director dies while trying to save kids during Texas flooding
|
|
The camp director and co-owner of Camp Mystic in Hunt, Texas, died in the catastrophic flooding as he reportedly raced to save the lives of his young campers.
Dick Eastland, who purchased the camp in 1974, died after the wall of water crashed through the Christian summer camp, which is located along the banks of the Guadalupe River, Texas Public Radio reported.
The report cited a Facebook post from Eastland’s nephew, though the post has since been taken down.
Counselors, former campers and politicians who knew Eastland praised him for his heroic actions and ultimate sacrifice to save his campers.
"Camp Mystic’s Dick Eastland no doubt gave his life attempting to save his campers," Rep. August Pfluger, R-Texas, wrote on X. "For decades he and his wife Tweety poured his life into loving and developing girls and women of character. Thank you Mr. Eastland. We love you and miss you." (Fox News) Read more here.

MIRACLE: Texas Man Saves Woman Found in Tree 20 Miles Downstream During Independence Day Flood
|
|
In what is being described as a miracle in the Independence Day Flood, a Texas man led rescuers to a woman who managed to climb into a tree after being swept 20 miles downstream in the raging Guadalupe River. The swiftly moving currents swept a vehicle carrying the woman and her parents off a low-water crossing.
A video published by KENS CBS5 shows the dramatic rescue of a Midland, Texas, woman who managed to climb into a tree after being swept 20 miles downstream by the Guadalupe River on Friday.
A News4SA (NBC) reporter interviewed Carl Jeter, a Center Point, Texas, resident, who said he heard a woman screaming in a tree. “She was panicking,” Jeter told the reporter. He said he heard the screams and then found the nearly naked woman clinging to the tree. He yelled back to the woman to let her know he spotted her.
Jeter said he tried to call 911 but was unable to get assistance. He eventually drove toward town to alert first responders personally, the article states. An emergency crew arrived in a pair of boats to aid the stranded woman. (Breitbart) Read more here.

Trump: Elon Musk ‘Completely Off the Rails’ as He Launches Political Party
|
|
President Donald Trump said he is “saddened” to watch Elon Musk “go completely off the rails” a day after his tech mogul former ally announced the creation of a new political party following their public feud.
“I am saddened to watch Elon Musk go completely ‘off the rails,’ essentially becoming a TRAIN WRECK over the past five weeks,” Trump said in a Sunday Truth Social post. “He even wants to start a Third Political Party, despite the fact that they have never succeeded in the United States — The System seems not designed for them.”
Musk announced the launch of the “America Party” on Saturday, after a poll he conducted on X showed that 65 percent of users wanted “independence” from the “uniparty” system:
The one thing Third Parties are good for is the creation of Complete and Total DISRUPTION & CHAOS, and we have enough of that with the Radical Left Democrats, who have lost their confidence and their minds! Republicans, on the other hand, are a smooth running “machine,” that just passed the biggest Bill of its kind in the History of our Country. (Breitbart) Read more here.

- Lord God we pray for Elon and his salvation. We pray Lord that the eyes of his heart would be enlightened that he may know the hope to which you have called him on the glorious inheritance of the saints and that he would come to know you. In Jesus' name. Amen.
- “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.” (Ephesians 1:17)

1. Iran President Accuses Israel of Assassination Attempt in Interview with Tucker Carlson - Algemeiner
In an interview released Sunday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian told former Fox News host Tucker Carlson that Israel attempted to assassinate him, marking a dramatic new chapter in the already volatile tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States.
Speaking to Carlson from Tehran, Pezeshkian claimed, “They did try, yes,” when asked directly whether Israel had attempted to kill him. “They acted accordingly, but they failed.”
The interview marks the first time Pezeshkian has spoken to a Western journalist since his election earlier this year and comes just weeks after a 12-day exchange of strikes between Iran and Israel, including Israeli airstrikes deep into Iranian territory targeting military sites and nuclear-linked personnel.
The interview, posted on Carlson’s independent media platform, did not touch on Iran’s nuclear program or human rights record, but instead focused on questions about war, trust, and the future of diplomacy. When asked if Iran seeks war with the United States or Israel, Pezeshkian said that it is not “in the interest of the United States to be involved in any kind of war in my region.” (Read more)

2. IAF strikes Houthi terror targets across Yemen - JNS
Israeli Air Force fighter jets carried out a series of strikes overnight Sunday on Houthi infrastructure in Yemen, targeting facilities in the ports of Al Hudaydah, Ras Isa and Salif, as well as the Ras Kanatib power plant.
The operation involved approximately 20 aircraft and the deployment of more than 50 munitions.
According to the Israel Defense Forces, the operation was a direct response to ongoing attacks launched by the Houthis against the Jewish state, including repeated UAV and missile assaults on civilian areas.
“These ports are used by the Houthi terrorist regime to transfer weapons from the Iranian regime, which are employed to carry out terrorist operations against the State of Israel and its allies,” said the IDF. (Read more)

WASHINGTON — US President Donald Trump is asked whether a two-state solution is possible, but cedes the floor to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to answer.
“I think Palestinians should have all the powers to govern themselves, but none of the powers to threaten us,” Netanyahu says in a response he has given countless times before over the years.
“That means that certain powers, like overall security, will always remain in our hands,” the Israeli premier continues.
“No one in Israel will agree to anything else, because we don’t commit suicide,” Netanyahu asserts. (Read more)

1. Trump expresses sympathy over Texas flooding as death toll rises to 27 - The Hill
President Trump said that his administration is working with Texas state and local officials in response to fatal flash flooding as the death toll in the state has risen to 27.
“Our Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, will be there shortly. Melania and I are praying for all of the families impacted by this horrible tragedy,” Trump said in a Saturday post on Truth Social. “Our Brave First Responders are on site doing what they do best. GOD BLESS THE FAMILIES, AND GOD BLESS TEXAS!”
The number of people who have died from the flooding, which began on Wednesday, has gone up to 27, according to Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha. Among those are 18 adults and nine children. Of those, six adults and one child have not been identified.
Leitha added that authorities have recovered 850 uninjured people and eight injured people. The sheriff emphasized that the figures are official as of 8:55 a.m. local time and are changing “rapidly.” (Read more here)

2. Elon Musk announces formation of America Party following Trump rift - Israel Hayom
Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk declared Saturday the establishment of a new political organization called the America Party, following an explosive disagreement with President Donald Trump over fiscal policy that culminated when the president approved major spending legislation, CNN reported.
The world's wealthiest individual, who served as Trump's largest individual campaign contributor in 2024 and operated as a prominent presidential advisor until recently, proclaimed the creation of his political movement after condemning what he characterized as excessive government expenditure. "When it comes to bankrupting our country with waste & graft, we live in a one-party system, not a democracy," the former Trump confidant stated on X. "Today, the America Party is formed to give you back your freedom."
The Tesla and SpaceX chief executive's political announcement represents the culmination of escalating tensions with the Trump administration over domestic spending policies. Musk had previously spearheaded the president's governmental efficiency initiatives before expressing strong opposition to Trump's comprehensive legislative package due to projections showing it would substantially increase federal debt obligations. 3. Trump’s effort to deport pro-Palestinian activists goes to trial - POLITICO
One of the lawyers pressing the lawsuit said the recent court rulings in favor of particular students and academics help address their cases, but don’t address the more systemic concerns the case going to trial this week is aimed at.
“The arrests have created a climate of fear on university campuses around the country, with foreign students and faculty alike afraid that ICE agents might arrest them at any moment for their legitimate political speech,” Jameel Jaffer of the Knight First Amendment Institute said. “Broader relief is appropriate and necessary because the threat of arrest and deportation on the basis of political speech has a profound chilling effect on the willingness of foreign students and faculty to engage in constitutionally protected expression and association.”
A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security disputed the central premise of the lawsuit. “We don’t deport people based on ideology,” spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin said.
Opponents of Trump’s policies have 10 witnesses lined up to testify, including Nadje Al-Ali, an anthropology and Middle East studies professor at Brown; Bernhard Nickel, a philosophy professor at Harvard; Nadia Abu El-Haj, an anthropology professor at Barnard; and John Armstrong, the acting head of the State Department’s Bureau of Consular Affairs.
The Trump administration is set to call a dozen witnesses, including several officials from local and national Homeland Security Investigations offices, as well as the State Department. (Read more)

4. Palestinian sheikhs propose historic break from Ramallah to join Abraham Accords - Israel Hayom
A revolutionary peace proposal has emerged from Palestinian clan leaders in Hebron, with five influential sheikhs signing a historic letter that abandons the Palestinian Authority and embraces full recognition of Israel as a Jewish state.
The groundbreaking proposal centers on Sheikh Wadee' al-Jaabari, known as Abu Sanad, who leads Hebron's most powerful clan from the West Bank city located 19 miles (31 kilometers) south of Jerusalem. According to The Wall Street Journal, the sheikh declared from his ceremonial tent that "We want cooperation with Israel" and "We want coexistence" – words that carry extraordinary weight given his family's traditional influence in Palestinian society.
The sheikhs' written proposal states that "The Emirate of Hebron shall recognize the State of Israel as the nation state of the Jewish people, and the State of Israel shall recognize the Emirate of Hebron as the Representative of the Arab residents in the Hebron District." This recognition goes substantially beyond any previous Palestinian Authority position and completely abandons the rejectionist stance that has characterized Palestinian leadership for generations.
The 48-year-old Sheikh Jaabari presents a stark assessment of Palestinian statehood prospects, telling The Wall Street Journal: "There will be no Palestinian state – not even in 1,000 years. After Oct. 7, Israel will not give it." A second major Hebron sheikh who signed the letter and declares loyalty to Sheikh Jaabari agrees, stating: "To think only about making a Palestinian state will bring us all to disaster." (Read more)

- Lord God, we agree with this last statement: "To think only about making a Palestinian state will bring us all to disaster." No matter how this plays out, we stand on Scripture and against any two-state solution. Your land, Abba God, is not just another piece of real estate. Instead, this is the holy land, wherein You dwell. May all negotiations take this fact into account, for to do otherwise would also bring disaster to our nation. We stand for the biblical position of an Abrahamic Accords - not an "Abraham Accords," In Your name, Holy One, we offer this prayer, amen and amen.
- "And I will bless those who bless you,
And the one who curses you I will curse.
And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.” (Genesis 1:3)

5. Tropical Storm Chantal makes landfall in South Carolina - The Hill
Tropical Storm Chantal has made landfall in South Carolina, according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC).
“Chantal is now just inland in far eastern South Carolina. TS conditions expected in the warning area coast this morning, but heavy rainfall will persist over SC today & NC through Monday,” the NHC said in an early morning post on the social platform X.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), parts of the northern South Carolina Coast and the southern North Carolina coast are currently under a Tropical Storm Watch as well as a Flood Watch.
“Heavy rainfall across portions of northeastern South Carolina will cause some flash flooding concerns from Tropical Storm Chantal today and across portions of North Carolina through Monday. Isolated to scattered flash flooding could occur within more urbanized areas,” the NHC said in a Sunday forecast discussion. (Read more)

6. A Comet From Another Solar System Is On Its Way - Defector.com
We can't say much about 3I/ATLAS just yet, other than that it's clearly a comet (its healthy coma makes it extraordinarily bright, which is how it was spotted this early, just inside the orbit of Jupiter), and, curiously, it's close to the ecliptic plane, in contrast to the two earlier visitors who entered from above. But we'll get our chance to see. When 3I/ATLAS makes its closest approach to the Sun and Earth, between October and December, it'll swing just inside the orbit of Mars, a mere 160 million miles from us. We'll see how big it is, we'll have a better sense of where it's come from (broadly, from the direction of the constellation Sagittarius), and by the colors emitted in the outgassing of its dust, we'll know what it's made of. We are, very slowly but surely, helping to build a picture of how the matter in our solar system differs from others. Maybe it'll turn out that we are kind of special. (Read more)

The Prophetic Mystery of the Red Heifer
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, July 7, 2025
Much has been written about the Red Heifer and the mystery surrounding its significance to the end times. Numbers 19:1–22 opens with one of the most peculiar and prophetically loaded rituals in Scripture—the ordinance of the Red Heifer (Parah Adumah). At first glance, it seems like an obscure priestly instruction. But when you dig deeper, it points straight to the mystery of redemption and the return of Christ. The LORD told Moses and Aaron, “Bring a red cow without defect or blemish that has never borne a yoke.” According to Jewish tradition, this command was first given on Nisan 1, the day the Tabernacle was raised. It is now reappearing in the 40th year of Israel’s journey along with the deaths of Miriam and Aaron.
Coincidence? Not likely. The Red Heifer ritual was meant to purify those defiled by death—what better time to reintroduce it than during national mourning? The ritual of the Red Heifer is unlike any other in the Torah. First, the cow had to be completely red—no blemishes, no stray hairs of a different color, and it must never have been used for work. Second, it was the only offering made outside the camp. Third, everything was burned—flesh, hide, even the blood. And as it burned, cedar wood, hyssop, and scarlet thread were added. The ashes were then gathered to create the “water of separation” used to cleanse those defiled by contact with the dead. Read More

Death Toll From Texas Floods Rises to 82, Including 28 Children; Trump Plans Visit
|
|
|
Two days after catastrophic flash floods raged through central Texas, at least 82 people, including 28 children, have been confirmed dead, more than 40 remain missing, and rescuers continue to search through a devastating landscape of overturned cars and mud-filled debris for potential survivors.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Sunday warned of another round of intense rain that is expected to descend upon the Lone Star State and lead to potential flash flooding.
Abbott said in a news conference in Austin, Texas, on July 6 that at least 41 people are unaccounted for across the state, in all the areas affected by flooding. “There are people who are missing, who are not ... confirmed missing because we don’t yet know who they are,” he said. “We will maintain our ongoing search throughout the entire river system to find anybody who may be missing.” He asked anybody who may suspect a person they know to be missing in Kerr County to reach out to local officials with that person’s identification and other concrete information.
Meanwhile, Col. Freeman Martin of the Texas Department of Public Safety elaborated on the work being done to identify those who have already been found.
“We have some unidentified individuals at the funeral home—adults and juveniles. The Texas Rangers are collecting DNA from family members and from the deceased victims, we’re flying those to the University of North Texas in Dallas, and we will have answers with rapid DNA in hours, not days, to get some closure and information back to these families,” he said.
President Donald Trump signed a Major Disaster Declaration for Kerr County on the morning of July 6 and said his administration is working with state and local officials in recovery efforts.
Trump told reporters later Sunday that he would visit the disaster scene, probably on Friday. “I would have done it today but would just be in their way,” he said.
When asked if some of the cuts to the federal government left key vacancies at the National Weather Service or the emergency coordination, Trump said they did not.
“That was really the Biden setup, that was not our setup. But I wouldn’t blame Biden for it either,” Trump said. “I would just say this is a 100-year catastrophe and it’s just so horrible to watch.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

(Please note: as of this writing -- Monday night --the death toll now stands at 102.)
- Lord God Jehovah, You are a God of mercy. We see You weeping with us as we gaze upon this strategy together. Father God, we know that You did not cause this disaster, but we know who did. Lord God, perhaps in time we will learn how to pray over and to defeat these weather warfare weapons. But for now, we ask for Your divine intervention to be with all the first responders and to those who are still searching for the lost and for the missing in Texas. Be with them, O Lord we pray, amen and amen.

Netanyahu to prioritize Iran during US visit, peace with Syria off table
|
|
|
As for the situation in Doha, negotiations are set to resume over the three contentious issues: the withdrawal of IDF troops from the Gaza Strip, the distribution of humanitarian aid, and the mechanism for ending the war or talks aimed at ending it. Hamas has rejected the language in the Qatari proposal concerning each of these issues.
Israeli officials maintain that, despite the talks being described as "constructive," Israel has exhausted its flexibility on each of the three issues. They noted that Israel already agreed to changes proposed by Qatar to the updated Witkoff framework currently on the table.
It has also emerged that peace with Syria is not on the agenda for this visit or in the coming weeks. (Israel Hayom) Read more here.

- Lord God, we humbly submit ourselves to You, Omniscient One, for only You know Your plans for this strategic region. We ask that You would reveal Your will to P.M. Behind Closed Doors: Trump–Netanyahu Dinner Focuses on Gaza Framework, Abraham Accords, and Regional Realignment By Tania Curado Koenig
|
|
Washington, D.C. – July 7, 2025
Unusual Delay Before Departure
Prime Minister Netanyahu’s departure aboard the Wing of Zion on Sunday, July 6, was delayed by several hours. The Prime Minister’s Office officially cited 'security consultation' as the reason. However, Israeli media reported additional contributing factors, including internal coalition tensions—especially related to ultra-Orthodox demands over military conscription legislation. Sources close to the government confirmed that last-minute political negotiations may have delayed the final decision to leave.
This was not the first time the Wing of Zion faced operational challenges. Past U.S.-bound trips required adjustments to flight path and loading due to airspace sensitivities and weight limits. Routing may also have avoided jurisdictions associated with international legal risk.
The result: Netanyahu’s flight did not depart on schedule, and the delay reinforced what many observers already understood—that this visit is anything but routine.
Netanyahu landed in Washington, D.C. at 12:45 p.m. local time on Sunday, July 6—approximately eight hours later than originally scheduled.
At 6:30 p.m. on Monday evening, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be greeted by U.S. President Donald J. Trump at the South Portico of the White House. Five minutes later, the two leaders are expected to sit down for a private dinner in the Blue Room—closed to all press, staff, and official media coverage.
There will be no statements. No photographs. No joint address.
#############
Final Note
The dinner is expected to last under two hours. But what is being discussed may determine the trajectory of the region for years to come. Gaza’s future, Saudi recognition, Red Sea military corridors, and sovereignty in the biblical heartland are all potentially linked to what is on the table.
And what will be decided in the Blue Room—was first decided in heaven. Because the Church is praying.

Madre Fire grows to 80,000 acres, becomes California’s largest wildfire of 2025
|
|
A fast-moving wildfire in California’s San Luis Obispo County exploded in size over the holiday weekend and has now burned more than 80,000 acres, making it the state’s largest wildfire so far this year.
The Madre Fire began last Wednesday afternoon in a remote section of the Los Padres National Forest. As of Monday morning, the blaze was 30% contained, according to Cal Fire. No structures have been reported damaged, and the cause remains under investigation.
Roughly 190 residents were under evacuation orders early Friday. A section of Route 166 has been closed, and smoke from the fire has triggered air quality alerts in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties.
Satellite imagery showed a thick plume of smoke drifting south toward the coast, while videos posted by the U.S. Forest Service captured intense flames and smoke-filled skies.
The Madre Fire comes during a year already marked by destructive wildfire activity in California. Earlier in 2025, the Palisades Fire scorched over 23,000 acres and became the third-most destructive wildfire in state history. The Eaton Fire, which burned more than 14,000 acres, ranks as the second-most destructive and the fifth-deadliest on record.
