Trump Says Pilots Fine After Helicopter Crashes Near Hormuz
|
|
A U.S. Army Apache attack helicopter crashed early Tuesday near the Strait of Hormuz, but President Donald Trump said the two crew members aboard were not injured in the incident near the strategic waterway that Iran has effectively closed during the war.
A U.S. Navy surface drone found and rescued the two crew from the waters of the strait, the U.S. military's Central Command told Reuters.
The pair were rescued within about two hours and were in stable condition, CENTCOM said in a statement.
It was not immediately clear whether the Apache had been shot down by Iranian fire, experienced mechanical failure, or encountered another problem. Asked if he knew what had brought the helicopter down, Trump said a report would be issued later on Tuesday. (Newsmax) Read more

WASHINGTON — The U.S. military launched strikes against Iran on June 9, hours after President Donald Trump vowed retaliation over the Islamic republic downing an American Apache helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz.
U.S. Central Command, which oversees operations in the region, said U.S. forces launched "self-defense" strikes against Iran at about 5 p.m. ET "in response" to the attack on the helicopter on June 8. The two pilots on board were unharmed and are safe, according to Trump.
Central Command called the attack "a proportional response to unjustified Iranian aggression." The military command did not elaborate on what targets in Iran were struck. (Source: USA Today) For more, go here.

Father, we are very thankful that our pilots were safe and rescued from this disaster in the Oman Sea. We have since heard today that their helicopter was actually shot down by Iran, which means big trouble in response. We pray for Trump and Netanyahu to be in alignment with Your will for everything that takes place in this region, in Jesus's plans and purposes. Amen.

Dozens feared dead after earthquake strikes Philippines. See the damage

At least 32 people are believed to have died and dozens were injured when a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck the Philippines.
The earthquake happened just before 7:40 a.m. local time on Monday, June 8 off the southern Philippine island of Mindanao, according to the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines. The earthquake led to multiple tsunami warnings across several countries and officials predicted the first tsunami waves would arrive between 7:37 a.m. and 9:37 a.m.
Residents in coastal areas had been told to evacuate and head to higher ground. After six hours, the tsunami warnings put into place were canceled in the southern Philippines, northern Indonesia and the Malaysian state of Sabah on Borneo island.
This week’s earthquake comes about eight months after a 7.4 earthquake struck near the Philippines in October, followed by a second quake that same day. At least seven people were killed, authorities said. (USA Today) Read more

Holy King, let there be many escapes from death for people who have been trapped to be rescued by both human and divine intervention, in Jesus's name. We pray for the people of this region to be able to work together to help rebuild and to have the financial resources necessary. May there also be teams bringing in great provisions of food and water and the love of Jesus in order to cause this disaster to be used for the glory of God.

Speaker Johnson: California Primary 'Stinks to High Heaven'
|
|
House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., criticized California's delay in tabulating votes Monday.
"They are counting votes weeks after the election," Johnson told reporters. "I'm not saying it's rigged. I'm saying it stinks to high heaven, and everybody knows that."
"Let's have votes on an election the day of the election," Johnson added. "That's what many states are able to do. I think California is playing around with this."
The speaker did not say whether he had any evidence of fraud being committed.
"Some of these efforts are so diabolical and so far upstream that it's impossible to prove, but I think everybody knows instinctively, something is wrong here, and that's a concern," Johnson said.
The U.S. attorney's office in Los Angeles said Friday that it had opened "multiple election fraud investigations" related to California's elections and sent a prosecutor to the county's vote-counting center. (Newsmax) Read more

Mighty God, we pray for the creative illusion of Hollywood sitting in the heart of the City of Angels to come under the authority of Creator God and that the fantasy world of make-believe be brought into submission to the power of the Savior in truth, in honesty and in repentance, in Jesus's holy name.

Who Are the 13 Patriots Honored in
Freedom Plaza?

With America’s 250th Independence Day less than a month away, President Donald Trump is honoring the heroes who fought to bring forth this great nation, erecting statues of the often-overlooked patriots in Washington, D.C.’s Freedom Plaza. The U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) erected 13 statues last week, part of a temporary display commemorating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. At the center of the display is a statue of Caesar Rodney, one of the signers of the declaration, surrounded by 12 Revolutionary War soldiers, ranging from freed slaves to physicians, from teenagers to retirees, from pastors to spies.
“Diverse as they were, what this eclectic group had in common was a strong patriotism and love for their country — a fierce patriotism that hated tyranny,” the DOI said in a statement announcing the display. “These stories reinvigorate the spirit of patriotism and sacrifice that gave birth to the most prosperous, most stable, and most benevolent nation in the history of the world. Although the names represented by these statues are largely unknown today, they have never been lost to history,” the statement continued. “These twelve heroes are waiting for a new generation to rediscover, appreciate, and be inspired by their courage, sacrifice, and faith.”

Mighty God, we thank You that we are going forth on the lives, prayers and prophetic vision of men and women who believed so firmly in Your calling to take the gospel to all nations that they were willing to sacrifice everything to follow You to be free in Jesus. We give praise for the events of this 250th anniversary of our nation and pray Father that more people will find themselves curious and willing to learn more about our nation's founding. May the statues of these heroes be a part of the story for reconciling our nation to its calling, in Jesus's name.
"And they helped David against the bands of raiders, for they were all mighty men of valor, and they were captains in the army. For at that time they came to David day by day to help him, until it was a great army, like the army of God." (1 Chron. 12:21-22)

1. IDF Chief of Staff: 'The strike on Iran was preparation for a more powerful blow'

IDF Chief of Staff LTG Eyal Zamir visited a training exercise on Tuesday together with the Commander of the Ground Forces, MG Nadav Lotan; the Commander of the National Ground Training Center, BG Eliad Moati; the Commander of the 38th Division and Head of the Operations Directorate, BG Sharon Altit; and additional commanders.
The exercises are currently being conducted under the leadership of the National Ground Training Center as part of the training program for battalion and company commanders. The series includes battalion-level exercises aimed at preparing the next generation of commanders for combat.
“The IDF maintained, and continues to maintain, immediate readiness and preparedness to resume operations in Iran," the Chief of Staff declared during the visit. (Read more)

2. Israeli attack on Tyre in Lebanon kills eight as evacuation ordered for Christian quarter - The Guardian
Israel has bombed the city of Tyre, killing eight and injuring at least 32 people, and struck dozens of other villages in south Lebanon as it issued forced evacuation orders for the historic Christian quarter of the ancient city for the first time.
Israel struck the al-Masaken neighbourhood without warning on Tuesday morning, sending smoke plumes high above the city’s buildings and igniting fires. Further airstrikes were carried out across the city and a series of bombings hit Abbasieh, a village north of Tyre.
Hezbollah claimed responsibility for attacks on Israeli soldiers in the Lebanese village of Maroun al-Ras. The Israeli army said it had killed a “terrorist” who had crossed the border from Lebanon into Israel and opened fire on Israeli soldiers – the first time in this round of fighting that a fighter from Lebanon had crossed the border. 3. Israel eases civilian restrictions across most of country amid lull in fighting with Iran - JNS
The Israel Defense Forces’ Home Front Command on Tuesday morning lifted restrictions for most of the country after Iranian missile attacks ceased, allowing schools to reopen and daily life to return to normal.
“The IDF continues to monitor developments, and following an ongoing situational assessment by the Home Front Command, it has been decided to update the defensive guidelines,” the military body stated.
Under the new guidelines, the vast majority of the Jewish state returned to “full activity” level, eliminating all restrictions on educational activities, businesses and public gatherings. (Read more)

4. Gunman in military uniform shot dead at Lebanon border after firing on troops
- Times of Israel
A gunman from Lebanon opened fire on Israeli troops at the border on Tuesday afternoon before they shot him dead, according to the Israel Defense Forces. No troops were injured. The gunman entered Israeli territory, but did not cross the border fence, an initial probe found.
Meanwhile, Israeli strikes killed eight people in Tyre after the military issued its first-ever call for residents to flee the entire coastal city and environs, according to Lebanon’s health ministry, which does not distinguish between combatants and civilians.
Following the gunman’s rare infiltration in northern Israel, the IDF said troops were scanning near the Lebanon border area for additional possible attackers. The Israeli Air Force dispatched a drone to help with the searches, according to the military. (Read more)

5. Muslim Brotherhood Quietly Expanding Influence Networks Across Germany, Italy, Israeli Gov’t Reports Warn - Algemeiner
The Muslim Brotherhood has steadily built an extensive network of organizations, financial structures, and influence operations across Germany and Italy while maintaining a carefully moderated public image, according to new Israeli government assessments.
Israel’s Ministry for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism released new reports this week detailing the activities of the Muslim Brotherhood in Italy and Germany.
Founded in Egypt in 1928 by schoolteacher Hassan al-Banna, the Brotherhood seeks to implement Islamic law around the world by any means necessary, embracing both violent terrorism and lawful political activity. The most influential Brotherhood-created group today is Hamas, the Palestinian terrorist group that perpetrated the Oct. 7, 2023, invasion of southern Israel, the deadliest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. 1. GAO urges federal agencies to do more to stop at least $180B of improper payments made in error- Just the News
Federal agencies paid out an estimated $186 billion by mistake in fiscal year 2025 alone and without better oversight, taxpayers could keep losing money at that level, according to a new report from the Government Accountability Office. Since 2003, these payment mistakes have added up to about $3 trillion, touching everything from Medicare and Medicaid to unemployment benefits and tax credits.
The watchdog agency described the issue as a “long-standing, significant problem” and said several departments repeatedly failed to comply with federal reporting requirements designed to track and reduce payment errors.
GAO noted that many improper payments are not necessarily fraud, but instead stem from insufficient documentation, eligibility verification failures, duplicate payments or administrative mistakes.
Five of those agencies, including the Departments of Labor, Education, Health and Human Services, Treasury and Agriculture, lacked sufficient internal procedures to secure timely reporting and monitoring of payment integrity problems. GAO said those agencies did not always provide “complete and timely information” as required under federal law. (Read more)

We pray for these government agencies to establish safeguards and protections to verify that the money they ship out is actually being used for the purposes intended, in Jesus's name. We have seen more than enough mis-appropriations of our tax money being funneled into the pockets of bad actors and we call for it to stop. If agencies do not have the skill or resources to watch over and audit the finances being distributed, then they should be removed from access to the funds until they can prove themselves more responsible with our finances, just as we would do with our children, in Jesus's name.

2. The sneaky way corporate America blacklists conservatives, and how more of them are fighting back - WND
More nonprofits are urging the software company Benevity—which hundreds of companies use to allow employees to donate their time and money to charities—to stop systematically blacklisting conservative nonprofits.
Twelve organizations first sent a letter to Benevity in October following the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. The new letter, sent Monday and exclusively provided first to the Daily Signal, will feature three new signatories: Turning Point USA, PragerU, and Focus on the Family.
"Charitable giving programs should empower generosity, not enforce political conformity," Douglas Napier, executive chairman and CEO of 1792 Exchange, which helped organize the letter, told the Daily Signal in a statement Friday. "Benevity must immediately end its use of Southern Poverty Law Center's defamatory 'Hate List' and 'Hate Map' to block mainstream charitable organizations like Turning Point USA and Focus on the Family." We pray that You will bring recompense to everyone that has suffered under the lies and accusations of the Southern Poverty Law Center's unrighteous works, in Jesus's name. This is an issue that has been simmering in our country for many years, where a large agency (like United Way) responsible for distributing designated donation funds turns a blind eye to Christian organizations in favor of left-wing causes instead and we pray for their books to be righteous and fair or completely eliminated, in Jesus's name.

3. Republican Support for Same-Sex Marriage Collapses, Falling Almost 20% since 2022 - Washington Stand
The last three years have been a humbling experience for Pride. What was once an over-the-top rainbow blow-out has been dialed back a stunning degree, thanks to the colossal wave of public pushback. It’s been a sucker-punch for LGBT activists, who’ve been dumbfounded by the complete reversal of fortunes. Corporate sponsorships have dried up, local organizations are filing Chapter 11, red states are going on the offensive with June alternatives, and Republican support for same-sex marriage is in a dizzying freefall.
In one of the most dramatic sea changes, millions of Americans are walking away from what Obergefell unleashed on the nation in 2015. According to the latest Gallup poll, just released Wednesday, only 37% of Republicans now say same-sex marriage should be legal — a whopping 18-point drop since 2022 (55%). While Democrats still strongly back the redefinition of marriage at 87%, skeptical Independents and the GOP are driving the country’s numbers down to 65% support overall, 6% lower than 2022 and 2023. In at least 11 states, legislators have even introduced bills to roll back same-sex marriage.
While the buyer’s remorse on Obergefell may be the most striking, what the nation is witnessing with this sustained pushback on Pride may be permanently changing the corporate, state, and political landscape. In a lot of major cities — places like New York, Salt Lake, Louisville, St. Louis, Orlando, and Pittsburgh — event organizers are struggling to find the funding to get by. NYC Pride, the largest parade in America, told The Wall Street Journal that it had to cancel some of its parties and slash spending after last year’s wake-up call when longtime partners just vanished. We pray for the people who have been caught up in this sexual immorality and sick deception to be set free from this bondage because of the love of our long-suffering Savior. We pray for their lives to grow into the meaning and value God intended for each person and may their hearts be touched by the goodness of God in the land of the living, in Jesus's name.

4. Iranian Young People and Students Are Bravely Taking to the Streets Again in Protests against the Islamic Regime- Breaking Christian News

Of course these people—desperate for freedom, and an end to the brutal Islamic occupation of Iran—are risking their lives by pouring into the streets in defiance of the regime.
"Demonstrations have now been reported in Tehran, Karaj, Isfahan, Shiraz, Mashhad, and other cities as young Iranians take to the streets against the regime," reports Tousi TV. "Videos show protesters chanting: ‘Don't be afraid, don't be afraid, we are all together.'"
In addition, some Iranians are posting messages to the outside world, asking to be armed so they can fight against the regime. (Read more)

Father God, we pray for the students in the streets, crying out for deliverance from the IRGC death squads and for weapons to defend themselves. We know that Turkey has been playing an evil game against the Kurds and the Persian young people and we ask You to ignite a fiery wall of covering over the people seeking freedom and deliverance, in Jesus's mighty name. We bind the plots and plans of the cruel leaders in Iran and Turkey, in Jesus's name and we call for angelic armies to be reinforced and released to help those fighting for life and bring them victory, in Jesus's name. May they also be kept protected from all retaliatory attacks from the US, Israel or any other country.

5. ‘Zero Tolerance’: DOJ Seeks to Strip Citizenship from 17 Migrant Criminals, Including Indian H-1B Fraudster- Breitbart
The Department of Justice has filed cases to de-naturalize 17 legalized migrants after decades of widespread citizenship fraud in the nation’s immigration system.
“Gaining U.S. citizenship is a privilege and under the steadfast leadership of President Trump, this Department of Justice maintains a zero-tolerance policy for the abuse of this process,” Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a department statement.
“American citizenship is a privilege, and it must be earned honestly,” said DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin. “If you come here break our laws, and lie in your immigration proceedings, you forfeit that privilege,” he added.
Federal law allows the deportation of migrants who committed deception during the citizenship process. But it does not allow legalized migrants to be denaturalized for crimes after being naturalized, which can be accomplished as soon as five years after winning a green card. (Read more)

Thank You Abba that we have some laws in place to deal with immigration lawbreakers. Even those who have legal permission to be here working in this country oppose those who have come dishonestly. We pray for the process of denaturalization to be successful and effective against even these very few individuals, in Jesus's name.

6. Xi Jinping Applauds Kim's 'Socialist Cause' In Warm North Korea State Visit- ZeroHedge.com
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un warmly greeted Chinese President Xi Jinping in Pyongyang Monday, kicking off Xi's two-day state visit to the internationally isolated country - which is his first trip there in seven years.
Xi has called for deepening "strategic coordination and cooperation" with North Korea shortly after receiving a lavish, red carpet welcome at the airport. The two sides should inject "powerful momentum" into their ties, Xi said according to a readout released by Chinese state media Xinhua.
No matter how the international situation changes, the Chinese party and government's firm stance on highly valuing China-DPRK traditional friendship will not change, the firm support for General Secretary Kim in leading the DPRK's socialist cause will not change, and the firm commitment to safeguarding the shared interests of the two countries and preserving a favorable strategic environment will not change, Xi said. Holy King, we pray for the collapse of the systems of domination, both communism in China and its North Korean partner, Juche, in Jesus's name. We pray for salvation to come to the leaders of these two nations so that the people would be free and the world would no longer live under their threat of nuclear destruction, for the glory of God. We pray for the pride of these leaders to cause them to fall to their knees before the throne of God so that they can turn from their wicked ways and confess Jesus Christ is Lord, and that their nuclear ambitions and relationship would come to nothing, in Jesus's name.

Iran's Negotiating Game Part 1--47 Years of Delay

Since the 1979 Iranian Revolution, American presidents have wrestled with the same challenge: how to negotiate with a regime that openly declares hostility toward the United States while demanding the benefits of diplomacy. Having covered US-Iran relations since 1977, I have observed Iranian leaders agreeing in principle to concessions, then introducing new conditions. The result is a diplomatic cycle that consumes years while Tehran advances its interests. The latest reports follow this familiar script. Iranian officials continue signaling agreement then rejecting key provisions of the agreement. Meanwhile, chants of "Death to America" and repeated threats against Israel are sounding off in the background.
The responsibility for today's crisis stretches across multiple American administrations. President Jimmy Carter's handling of the Iranian Revolution and hostage crisis helped usher in a new era of instability. Subsequent administrations largely pursued containment, sanctions, negotiations, and limited military responses. Reagan stood apart by confronting Iranian proxies more directly. President Trump today has employed maximum pressure and authorized decisive action against Iranian military leadership. Yet most administrations have chosen policies that managed the threat rather than eliminated it. The United Nations has even a worse track record. Each round of diplomacy has tended to buy Iran time, and time has consistently strengthened its regional influence and sponsorship of terror.

Critics Sound Alarm Over Potential Central Bank Digital Currency

Buried deep inside Section 1001 of a Senate housing bill is a provision that opens the door to a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) beginning in 2030 — a government-controlled digital dollar that could fundamentally transform the relationship between citizens and the state.
Supporters claim CBDCs are simply about convenience. But Americans already have countless ways to make digital payments through banks, debit cards, credit cards, PayPal, Venmo, and other private services.
So why does Washington want its own digital currency?
The concept of a Central Bank Digital Currency has been discussed by governments and central banks around the world for several years. Unlike traditional cash, a CBDC would exist entirely in digital form and would be issued directly by a nation’s central bank. Supporters argue such systems could streamline payments, reduce transaction costs, and modernize financial infrastructure.
Opponents, however, warn that a government-issued digital currency could dramatically expand the state’s ability to monitor financial activity. Privacy advocates have expressed concern that a CBDC could provide unprecedented visibility into citizens’ spending habits, charitable giving, political contributions, and other personal transactions. Some critics also fear future governments could use digital currencies to restrict or discourage certain types of purchases or behavior.
The issue has gained particular attention among conservatives and faith-based organizations, many of which see financial privacy as a key component of individual liberty. Several lawmakers have already introduced legislation aimed at preventing the Federal Reserve from issuing a retail CBDC, arguing that existing digital payment systems already provide consumers with ample convenience without increasing government oversight.

Senate Republicans have struggled to move the ball on President Donald Trump's voter ID and citizenship verification bill, but a late-night vote in the upper chamber breathed some life into an issue once thought dead.
During the Senate’s marathon "vote-a-rama" to advance the GOP’s $70 billion immigration enforcement package, Republicans tried twice to attach the Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act to the massive bill.
They failed both times, with a cohort of Republicans joining Senate Democrats to stymie the effort, which was destined to fail either way given that the amendments from Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and Mike Lee, R-Utah, had to break through the filibuster.
Graham’s attempt was to attach the modified version of the SAVE America Act, which included several policy additions, like barring men in women’s sports, that Trump demanded months ago.
Four Republicans, Sens. Susan Collins, R-Maine, Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., and Thom Tillis, R-N.C., voted against it. Their defections prevented the bill from even getting 50 votes, a prerequisite for success if Republicans were to launch a talking filibuster.
But Lee’s attempt did hit 50 votes, with Collins flipping her vote to support the original version of the SAVE America Act.
Lee cheered the moment on X shortly after as the vote-a-rama still raged and noted that, with Vice President JD Vance serving as a possible 51st vote, the SAVE America Act could pass.
"That means that but for the Zombie Filibuster, the House-passed SAVE America Act would now be on its way to the White House for President Trump’s signature," Lee said.
The moment was a big victory for the legislation, which thus far has wallowed in the Senate for months.
Conservatives like Lee have pushed Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., to launch a talking filibuster to grind down Senate Democrats and pass the legislation at a simple majority threshold. (Fox News) Read more

We ask You, Lord, to breathe life into this Save America Act that's being tossed to and fro between the Democrats and the Republicans. Lord this bill needs to pass for the well being of our election integrity. Father, Your Word says that you make a way where there seems to be no way and we beseech You to make a way for fair elections in our nation with no fraud being allowed. Everyone who votes needs to prove citizenship and have a voter ID!
We pray for common sense to overtake our Senate and House and bring them to a vote in favor of the Save America Act! Lord, expose what the Democratic party is hiding from the American people concerning why they are not on board with passing this bill.

Artemis III Mission in 2027, Names Crew Members

Taking another step toward one of the most complex human spaceflight missions in recent history, NASA on Tuesday provided new Artemis III details and announced the four prime crew members and a backup for the test flight. The mission will undertake a series of challenging tests in Earth orbit in 2027, essential for Artemis IV, the first planned crewed mission to the lunar South Pole in 2028.
During Artemis III, the agency’s SLS (Space Launch System) rocket will launch the Orion spacecraft and its crew from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida to low Earth orbit. After Orion systems checkouts, the spacecraft will, for the first time, demonstrate rendezvous and docking capabilities with test versions from one, or both, American commercial human landing systems in development by Blue Origin and SpaceX. This highly choreographed mission includes a dramatic multi-launch campaign of the world’s most powerful rockets, testing integrated hardware between Orion and the landers, including system interfaces, software, propulsion, and communications.
