GOP Leaders Back Israeli Strike On Iran

Leading GOP senators bluntly declared their support for Israel’s strikes targeting Iran on Thursday night, stating that Israel was helping America by attacking the anti-American terror regime that routinely chants, 'Death to America.' “Iran is the world’s worst state sponsor of terrorism, has the blood of thousands of Americans on its hands, and is rushing to build not only nuclear weapons, but also missiles that can strike the United States,” Arkansas senator Tom Cotton wrote on X. “We back Israel to the hilt, all the way. And if the ayatollahs harm a single American, that will be the end of the ayatollahs. 'Proud to stand with Israel,'” he added.
Texas Senator Ted Cruz echoed, “President Trump has been clear that Iran must completely dismantle their nuclear capacity. Iran has given President Trump the middle finger. Israel is acting to defend themselves, and we should stand with them. There are two messages that are critical to be heard tonight,” Cruz told Daily Wire co-founder Ben Shapiro. “Number one, America stands unequivocally with Israel. Period. The end. That is critically important. Israel is acting to defend herself, to defend herself against the existential threat of an Iranian nuclear weapon, but number two, and this is equally important, we have a very large number of American servicemen and women in bases in the Middle East that are in harm’s way. And I want to ask every one of your listeners, every one of your viewers, if you’re a person of faith, pray for Israel tonight. Iranian missiles strike Israeli military headquarters in unprecedented attack
|
|
Iranian ballistic missiles struck Israel’s military headquarters, known as the Kiryat, the country’s version of the Pentagon, in a direct hit during a major escalation in the conflict between Iran and Israel.
“This is Israel's version of the Pentagon, the Kiryat. And the building on this compound was just hit,” reported Fox News chief foreign correspondent Trey Yingst, live from Tel Aviv.
“There is significant damage.” The strike was part of a massive Iranian response to Israeli attacks on nuclear facilities and top IRGC leadership.
“Around 150 Iranian ballistic missiles targeting this country throughout the evening,” Yingst said. “They are targeting not only residential areas, they are targeting military installations.”
Fox News witnessed the aftermath at multiple impact sites. “An entire block nearly completely destroyed, wiped off the map,” Yingst said. “Rescue crews were digging through the rubble… trying to pick up heat signatures of possible bodies.” (Fox News)

Israeli official vows ‘we have more surprises coming up’ for Iran following wave of airstrikes
|

A senior Israeli intelligence official exclusively told Fox News on Saturday that “We have more surprises coming up” for Iran following the initial wave of strikes during “Operation Rising Lion.”
The high-ranking source, speaking to Fox News Chief Foreign Correspondent Trey Yingst, said Israeli intelligence projected Iran would have an arsenal of 8,000 ballistic missiles over the next two years and that this was part of the reason a decision was made to launch the operation. Right now, Israel believes Iran has about 2,000 missiles.
“We cannot end this operation knowing that we will be in the same spot two years from now,” the official said. “Everything is going as planned. Actually, better than planned.”
The official added: “We have lots of surprises. Not just the ones we already did. We have more surprises coming up.”
Forty Iranian air defense systems were hit since the beginning of the operation, which is based on three goals -- targeting Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs and removing the Iranian existential threat against Israel. (Fox News) Read more here.

Two Minnesota Democrats, a third victim shot in their homes by madman posing as cop: reports
|
|
Two Minnesota state lawmakers and their spouses were shot in their homes early Saturday by a madman who apparently posed as a police officer — and is still on the loose, according to reports.
Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL) Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman was shot in her Brooklyn Park home, while fellow party member Sen. John Hoffman was targeted roughly 8 miles away in Champlin, sources told 5 Eyewitness News.
A manhunt is on for the suspect, who was wearing black body armor over a blue shirt and blue pants.
The violence unfolded around 2 a.m. in John Hoffman’s home, BNO News reported.
He and an unidentified woman suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
The suspect then moved on to Melissa Hortman’s home, according to the outlet. (New York Post) Read more here.

Anti-Trump military parade demonstrations put major cities across America on high alert
|

A nationwide series of protests branded "No Kings Day" is expected to unfold across more than 800 cities and towns in the United States Saturday.
The demonstrations—organized to counter a planned military parade in Washington, D.C. celebrating President Donald Trump’s 79th birthday and the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army—have drawn concern from both public safety officials and ordinary Americans wary of unrest.
While organizers have promoted the events as peaceful, many remember how similarly framed protests in recent years spiraled into violence.
Violence in Los Angeles – which began as a peaceful rally that devolved into chaos, with storefronts left vandalized, American flags burned, and police officers injured – looms large ahead of the planned protests.
Retired police sergeant and law enforcement consultant Matthew Fagiana told Fox News Digital that police across the country are on high alert, with plans in motion to protect residents, property, and public order.
"Certainly, with everything going on across the country right now, all agencies are watching," Fagiana said. "They’re focused on their own intelligence, preparing to prevent the kind of violent stuff that we’ve seen in places like L.A. from happening again."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday visited the scene of a deadly Iranian missile on Bat Yam overnight Saturday, vowing that Iran would face severe consequences for its actions.
Standing alongside members of the Israeli military’s Home Front Command and emergency responders, Netanyahuexpressed condolences on behalf of the nation. “Our hearts are with the families,” he said.
Six people were killed when an apartment building in the city just south of Tel Aviv, sustained a direct hit. A 4-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy are among the dead.
Rescue efforts are ongoing at the scene, where three people remained unaccounted for after four of the missing were found at hospitals. At least 180 others were wounded in the strike. (Read more)

The Israel Air Force is now capable of operating without obstruction as far as Tehran, following what was described as the destruction of a majority of Iran's air defense systems, security officials said on Saturday morning.
The reported elimination of Syria’s military capabilities, including those of Hezbollah, has further expanded Israel’s operational range and shortened flight paths to Iran.
Until approximately two years ago, the IAF faced severe limitations in operating over Lebanon and Syria. IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir's statement on Saturday, saying "The road to Tehran has been paved" reflects the IDF’s present air dominance and signals a strategic shift. Israel is willing to call off its campaign if Iran accepts US demands to dismantle its nuclear program, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu indicates in an interview with Fox News.
“The issue here is stopping those things that will threaten our survival. And we’re committed to stopping them. And I think we can achieve them,” he tells host Bret Baier in a half-hour interview. “Now, if they are willing to accept President [Donald] Trump’s terms, that’s another matter.”
Otherwise, he says, “it’ll end when we remove those capacities, and we will.”

The IDF confirms the Israeli Air Force bombed an Iranian refueling plane at Mashhad Airport in northeast Iran, some 2,300 kilometers from Israel, marking the “most distant strike since the beginning of the operation.”
“The Air Force is working to achieve air superiority throughout Iran,” the military says.
A large fire could be seen at Mashhad Airport following the Israeli strike.
The strike on Mashhad Airport potentially marks the Israeli Air Force’s farthest-ever strike. In 1985, the IAF struck the headquarters of the Palestine Liberation Organization in Tunisia, also over 2,000 kilometers from Israel. (Read more)

1: Appeals Court Quickly Shoots Down Activist Judge — Lets Trump Keep National Guard On Street – Daily Caller
A federal appeals court quickly halted a lower court’s order directing President Donald Trump to turn over control of the National Guard to California Thursday night.
The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals allowed Trump to keep the National Guard in Los Angeles at least through Tuesday, when it scheduled a hearing to consider the issue.
Judge Charles B. Breyer, a Clinton appointee, found Trump’s decision to send in the National Guard amid riots in Los Angeles was illegal and blocked him from keeping them in the city. The Trump administration immediately appealed the ruling to the Ninth Circuit. (Read more)

2: USAID Official, Three Contractors Plead Guilty To Half-Billion Dollar Bribery Scheme – Daily Wire
Three government contractors and a USAID official have pleaded guilty to a scheme involving paying bribes in order to steer more than half a billion dollars in foreign aid contracts, the Department of Justice said Friday.
Roderick Watson, a USAID contracting officer, admitted to steering money to multiple companies in exchange for more than $1 million in bribes.
“Watson exploited his position at USAID to line his pockets with bribes in exchange for more than $550 million in contracts,” Guy Ficco of IRS Criminal Investigation said in a statement. “While he helped three company owners and presidents bypass the fair bidding process, he was showered with cash and lavish gifts.”
The scheme was possible because of the federal government’s racial “set-aside” laws known as 8(a) contracting, which allow contracting officers to give contracts to companies owned by minorities, women, or veterans without the usual competitive process.
Walter Barnes III, the founder of a Baltimore-area company predicated on taking advantage of those laws, admitted to paying bribes, including a country-club wedding, cash, and a trip to Martha’s Vineyard. (Read more)

Early Tuesday evening, as National Guard troops faced off against protesters and rioters on the streets of Los Angeles, powerful teachers’ union president Randi Weingarten hosted a virtual town hall with Democratic Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear.and two leading political operatives in Democratic Party politics, Leah Greenberg, founder of a political nonprofit, Indivisible, and Rev. Al Sharpton, founder of another political nonprofit, National Action Network.
Greenberg hailed an upcoming wave of protests this Saturday — set to sweep through even "really red areas of the country," marked with mostly Republican voters — as a stand against President Donald Trump. Throughout the call, Weingarten beamed, excited. Sharpton phoned in his enthusiasm about people with "different political beliefs" uniting. They touted Saturday’s campaign as the "#NoKings" protest.
But what they didn’t detail is the massive network of Democratic organizations funding and orchestrating this supposedly spontaneous uprising.

A convicted Al-Qaeda sympathizer who conspired to kill Americans in shopping malls and traveled to the Mideast to train with the terror group was teaching kids at a Muslim community center on Staten Island.
Tarek Mehanna — who prosecutors say once vowed to wage armed jihad against Americans both here and abroad — began teaching Arabic and the Quran in January to children as young as 4 at the Muslim Community Center of Staten Island in West Brighton.
Mohamed Bahi, a former senior advisor to Mayor Adams and the Muslim Community Center of Staten Island’s founder, announced Mehanna’s hiring in a since-deleted Facebook post, promoting the MCC’s Jan. 11 grand opening. Mehanna’s photo was pictured prominently among headshots of imams and other center officials in promotions.

5: Dems Find Second Judge To Block More Of Trump’s Order Enforcing Election Law – The Federalist
After a U.S. district court judge barred parts of Donald Trump’s election integrity executive order in April, a coalition of 19 Democrat attorneys general found a second district court judge to block other crucial provisions of the order. Along with the requirement of proof of citizenship to register to vote, these provisions include measures that strengthen security protections for overseas voting and ensure that ballots meet an Election Day deadline instead of straggling in for weeks on end.
By law, only U.S. citizens are allowed to vote in federal elections. But left-leaning Massachusetts Judge Denise J. Casper ruled on Friday that wannabe voters should not have to prove they are citizens by showing documents like a passport, a state-issued photo ID like a driver’s license, or a military ID.
Casper has sided with the 19 Democrat-led states fighting President Donald Trump’s executive order requiring documentary proof of citizenship to participate in federal elections. The states in this case are California, Nevada, Massachusetts, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Wisconsin. 6: Here’s How The Media Are Lying Right Now: Alex Padilla Just ‘Asking A Question’ Edition- The Federalist
Video of Alex Padilla has been on replay everywhere since Thursday after the California Democrat abruptly pushed his way to the front of a press briefing led by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. Noem was in Los Angeles overseeing federal law enforcement of illegal alien apprehensions and conducting the briefing to explain her department’s work and answer questions from attendees.
In video footage featuring Padilla, the senator is seen advancing toward Noem’s podium, unannounced, and saying something unintelligible before being blocked by security, who attempted to push him back.
“Hands off,” Padilla says. As he continues to struggle with security, he says, “I am Senator Alex Padilla” and “I have questions for the secretary.” He does all this while still pushing himself toward Noem, who was in the middle of speaking. Padilla, a hulking figure standing above six feet — “a big, tall guy,” according to one of his Senate colleagues — was eventually removed from the event while continuing to struggle and ultimately forced to the ground where he was handcuffed.
Afterward, he delivered a Shakespearean on-camera statement where he mustered up a knot in his throat and said he simply had “a question” for Noem. Oh boy, did the dying media take it from there. (Read more)

Israelis on Saturday described the fear, chaos and confusion as several Iranian missiles slammed into houses and apartments in central Israel overnight, causing widespread destruction, killing three people and wounding dozens.
Warning sirens sent millions of people rushing for safe rooms and bomb shelters as Iran fired several waves of missiles in response to Israeli strikes on its military leadership and nuclear program. While the IDF said most were intercepted, several missiles — apparently armed with large explosive warheads — slammed into homes in Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan and Rishon Lezion.
“We shut the door, started watching the news through the computer, and suddenly there was a boom so loud that the whole building teetered,” Tali Horesh, resident of a Tel Aviv high-rise that was hit Friday night, told the Ynet news site.
“A few minutes later we opened the door because the smoke detector went off,” she said. “The entire living room was full of smoke, and we went back to the safe room.”
“On the lower floors the destruction was massive,” she said. “Running water, doors tossed aside, a mess. And the lobby was totally ruined.”
Rescuers, including hundreds of IDF Home Front Command soldiers, firefighters, police officers, medics, engineers and sniffer dogs remained at the site for hours, ensuring that no one was trapped in the building.
Col. (res.) Michael David, who leads the Home Front’s Tel Aviv command, told Ynet that his forces were trained to handle such situations and received reinforcements, but said: “This is an event of a magnitude we haven’t seen in the past.” (Times of Israel) Read more here.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday said the U.S. had "nothing to do with" Israel's attack against Iran but warned that any attack against the U.S. would be met with the "full strength and might" of the U.S. military.
"The U.S. had nothing to do with the attack on Iran, tonight," Trump wrote on Truth Social in the early morning hours of Sunday.
"If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the U.S. Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before," he continued. "However, we can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict!!!"
Trump's comments came hours after the Israel Defense Forces claimed responsibility for a series of strikes on the headquarters of the Iranian Defense Ministry and a nuclear project, while Tehran unleashed a fresh barrage of deadly strikes.

An Islamist terror group leader has released a disturbing video calling for the assassination of US President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and several top advisers. He said their strong support for Israel was the reason behind the threat, according to the New York Post.
The Yemen-based figure is Sa'ad bin Atef al-Awlaki, who is the leader of al-Qa’ida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
In a disturbing 34‑minute video titled 'Inciting the Believers', released on Sunday, the terror leader urged American Muslims to “take revenge” and strike at those he called “infidel Americans”. He named Trump, Vance, as well as figures like Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth and billionaire Elon Musk. “Go after them and their families and all those who have any ties or are close to the politicians of the White House,” al‑Awlaki said.
He further said, “There are no red lines after what has been happening to our people in Gaza,” and endorsed recent antisemitic attacks and prior assassination attempts on Trump, according to security sources.
