Ministry Offers Radical Hope for Addicted, Imprisoned, Afflicted Men
Who Have Hit Rock Bottom

Addicted, imprisoned, and struggling with life-controlling issues — most men coming to A Better Way Ministries have hit rock bottom, desperate for a new beginning. “It’s a faith-based program,” founder John Barrow told “The 700 Club.” “It’s very strict … up at 4:45, you got classes, devotions, buttons on your shirt have to be buttoned, haircuts.” Barrow sees the keys to the program’s success being structure, rigor, and — most importantly — the Christian faith. Men participate in Bible studies and church meetings designed to spark genuine heart transformation. “We try to get them to come to the place to where ‘I’m saved,’ and then go from there to being a true disciple of Jesus Christ,” Barrow said.
A Better Way’s 18-month residential program seeks to carry these men from brokenness to healing. Barrow says it was born out of his own struggles with drugs and alcohol. “Drugs and alcohol and that lifestyle, and then running outta money to be able to sustain it. … When you can’t get it, then you go get it,” he said. “So then it went into stealing this and stealing that to keep the party going and to … keep the drugs in my bloodstream.” Incarcerated at least a dozen times, Barrow found Jesus after a stint in solitary confinement. “I had literally had 30 days to read the Bible,” he said. “It’s the only book I had and just began to read it … from Genesis [to] Revelation, and again, cried all the way through it … Moses, and David, and Peter, and Paul, and James all [became] my heroes. And, so, when I came out of the hole that time, I was pretty serious about my conversion and my commitment.” For the next 18 months, he served God behind bars. Trump Says Everyone Should
‘Immediately Evacuate Tehran’

President Donald Trump has called on residents to evacuate Tehran immediately, reiterating his long-standing warning that Iran must not obtain a nuclear weapon and suggesting Iran could be headed for a catastrophe by refusing to make a deal on nuclear disarmament.
“Iran should have signed the ‘deal’ I told them to sign. What a shame, and waste of human life. Simply stated, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. I said it over and over again! Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!” the president wrote in a June 16 post on social media.
Shortly after Trump’s warning, Iranian state media reported explosions and heavy air defense fire over Tehran.
Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued an evacuation order to residents in parts of Tehran on Monday, warning of imminent airstrikes targeting military infrastructure in the area.
“Dear citizens, for your safety, please leave the described area in the 3rd district of Tehran immediately,” states the message posted in Farsi by IDF Arabic-language spokesperson Col. Avichay Adraee on X.
“In the coming hours, the Israeli army will attack the military infrastructure of the Iranian regime in this area, as it has done in recent days in Tehran,“ Adraee wrote. ”Your presence in this area endangers your life.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Tributes Pour In for Slain Minnesota Lawmaker Remembered as ‘Formidable Public Servant’

Heartfelt tributes have poured in for former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, who were both shot and killed at their home in Brookland Park, Minnesota. The suspect, Vance Boelter, is currently in custody.
Minnesotans who knew her praised her as a “formidable public servant” and a woman deeply involved in her community.
State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, meanwhile, are on the road to recovery after they narrowly avoided the same fate when they were also targeted at their Champlin home. Boelter is also the suspect in that case.
Late on the evening of June 15, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz announced in a post on social media platform X, “We got him.”
Police officers detained Boelter, who allegedly disguised himself as a police officer during the shootings, in Sibley County.
In a post on Truth Social, President Donald Trump called it a “terrible shooting.”

Trump Says Tehran Wants To ‘Talk’ About Ceasefire After Pummeling From Israel

President Donald Trump said on Monday that Iran wants to “talk” about a deescalation with Israel after suffering days of bombardment.
Trump is attending the Group of Seven summit in Canada this week and confirmed to reporters that he has seen messages passed from Iran through intermediaries that Tehran wants to pause hostilities between itself and Israel, according to CBS News. The president said that Iran “should have done that before” Israel began its attack.
“They’d like to talk, but they should have done that before,” said Trump. “I had 60 days, and they had 60 days. On the 61st day, I said, ‘We don’t have a deal.’ They have to make a deal, and it’s painful for both parties. But I’d say Iran is not winning this war, and they should talk, and they should talk immediately, before it’s too late.”
Tehran has expressed a willingness to negotiate to end hostilities, reaching out to Israel and the United States through intermediaries, The Wall Street Journal reported earlier Monday.
World leaders at the G7 Summit were floated a draft statement on the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran. Among other items, the statement endorses a ceasefire between Iran and Israel and calls for both sides to protect civilians. Report: After Trump phone call, Putin warns Khamenei that his regime is in danger

At Iran's urging, Russian President Vladimir Putin contacted US President Donald Trump to address the intensifying conflict between Israel and Iran, delivering a grave warning to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei that his regime's survival is at stake, Israel Hayom has learned.
Russia has started taking an active role in the diplomatic efforts surrounding the conflict between Iran and Israel. According to information obtained by Israel Hayom, Putin initiated a phone call with his American counterpart, President Trump, at Iran's request.
Following the conversation, in which Trump likely made it clear that he would not restrain Israel, Putin sent a warning to Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, stating that his regime is in danger. Putin informed Khamenei of the call's outcomes and advised him to move quickly toward negotiations. Additionally, Putin ordered the evacuation of Russian embassy personnel from Tehran. 1. Katz: No negotiations with Iran, IDF to hit ‘very significant targets’ soon - JNS
The only talks taking place between Israel and Iran are those “between our missiles and their targets,” Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Tuesday, warning of impending attacks on “very significant targets.”
“We are not engaged in any negotiations, and we will not allow harm to Israeli citizens,” said Katz during a visit to the site of an Iranian missile impact in the coastal city of Herzliya.
“Today, we are about to strike very significant targets—strategic targets, regime and infrastructure targets—inside Tehran,” he revealed, noting that “the Persian IDF spokesperson will call on residents to evacuate.”
“Fordow is an issue that will also be addressed,” he said of reports that the Israel Defense Forces might attack the underground nuclear plant. (Read more)

2. Morning missile attack from Iran sends millions of Israelis into shelters

Ten people were lightly injured running to shelters during a Tuesday morning missile barrage from Iran that triggered alarms across Israel, with at least two impact sites reported in the center of the country— including a bus parking lot in Herzliya, north of Tel Aviv, where vehicles caught fire.
According to initial reports, around 20 projectiles were launched at civilian population centers, with the majority intercepted or landing in open areas.
Magen David Adom emergency teams conducted sweeps across several locations following the recent sirens, confirming that no casualties were identified at the scenes.
However, 10 individuals sustained minor injuries while making their way to protected areas and were receiving treatment from MDA personnel. (Read more)

The IDF identified at 1:15 on Wednesday that a salvo of missiles was fired from Iran toward Israeli territory.
Sirens sounded in the Gush Dan area, and the Home Front Command instructed residents to enter protected spaces.

The search continued Tuesday for a woman still unaccounted for after Iran’s deadliest strike on central Israel, which devastated residential neighborhoods in Bat Yam early Sunday. As recovery crews combed through the ruins, a small moment of relief came Tuesday when Home Front Command and police teams pulled two puppies alive from a damaged apartment.
The dogs had been trapped inside since the strike and were transferred to Bat Yam Municipality’s veterinary services for medical care. Authorities are now attempting to locate the evacuated owners to reunite them with the surviving pets.
The strike, which flattened parts of the densely populated coastal city just south of Tel Aviv, killed eight people and wounded 180 others. Among the dead were Efrat Saranga, 44; Bella Ashkenazi, 90; Michael Nahum, 61; Meir Voknin, 53; and four Ukrainian nationals who had relocated to Israel after Russia’s invasion of their homeland. 5. IAEA: Nearly all 15,000 Natanz centrifuges likely destroyed - JNS
All of the 15,000 centrifuges operating at Iran’s largest uranium enrichment facility in Natanz were badly damaged or destroyed by last week’s Israeli attack, the International Atomic Energy Agency said on Monday.
“Our assessment is that with this sudden loss of external power, in great probability the centrifuges have been severely damaged if not destroyed altogether,” said IAEA Director Rafael Grossi during an interview with the BBC.
“I think there has been damage inside” the underground portion of the facility, Grossi continued. The above-ground enrichment plant at Natanz was destroyed during the attack. (Read more)

Violence erupted in LA after sweeping ICE raids targeted illegal immigrants. Protests quickly morphed into full-blown riots. Entire blocks in South LA. Compton, and Boyle Heights saw fires, vandalism, smashed vehicles, and outright assaults on police and bystanders. Flash-bangs echoed into the night. Tear gas was thick in the air. In one broadcast, Australian reporter Lauren Tomasi was struck by a rubber bullet on live TV. This wasn’t a candlelight vigil. This was a public breakdown. But according to California’s Democratic leadership, there was nothing to see. Governor Gavin Newsom, Mayor Karen Bass, and US Rep. Nanette Barragán framed the unrest as “passionate civic action” or “peaceful assembly.”
Barragán went so far as to say there was “no violence” in her district—ignoring live coverage that contradicted her on nearly every claim. This isn’t just political airbrushing, it’s propaganda. And propaganda, by its nature, distorts truth and numbs public judgment. It isn’t the first time a ruling class tried to control reality by denying it. In communist regimes—whether Soviet, Cuban, or Chinese—governments routinely deny visible famine, bloodshed, and injustice while flooding the airwaves with cheerful slogans. “Peaceful” protests, they’d say, as soldiers fired into crowds. Democratic leadership in California is engaging in a modern version of the same tactic. NASA Launching Rockets Into
Radio-Disrupting Clouds

NASA is launching rockets from a remote Pacific island to study mysterious, high-altitude cloud-like structures that can disrupt critical communication systems. The mission, called Sporadic-E ElectroDynamics, or SEED, opens its three-week launch window from Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands on Friday, June 13.
The atmospheric features SEED is studying are known as Sporadic-E layers, and they create a host of problems for radio communications. When they are present, air traffic controllers and marine radio users may pick up signals from unusually distant regions, mistaking them for nearby sources. Military operators using radar to see beyond the horizon may detect false targets — nicknamed “ghosts” — or receive garbled signals that are tricky to decipher. Sporadic-E layers are constantly forming, moving, and dissipating, so these disruptions can be difficult to anticipate.
Sporadic-E layers form in the ionosphere, a layer of Earth’s atmosphere that stretches from about 40 to 600 miles (60 to 1,000 kilometers) above sea level. Home to the International Space Station and most Earth-orbiting satellites, the ionosphere is also where we see the greatest impacts of space weather. Primarily driven by the Sun, space weather causes myriad problems for our communications with satellites and between ground systems.
