Vermont stops forcing foster parents to adhere to LGBT ideology, restores licenses
|
|
Vermont has adopted new guidance eliminating a requirement that foster parents embrace LGBT ideology and has restored the licenses of foster parents who had theirs revoked over their religious beliefs, bringing an end to several lawsuits. In a statement on Monday, the conservative nonprofit legal organization Alliance Defending Freedom announced that a settlement has been reached in litigation against the state of Vermont over a requirement that prospective foster parents must speak in contrast to their beliefs on gender and sexuality to be licensed.
Vermont has adopted new guidance stressing that 'applicants’ sincerely held personal, cultural, religious, moral, or philosophical beliefs shall not be considered in the licensing process. “Applicants shall not be excluded based on any such beliefs nor on an intent to live, parent, and make day-to-day caregiving decisions consistent with those beliefs, so long as required standards of safety, care, non-discrimination, and respect for a child’s safety, well-being, and dignity are met,” the guidance added. "Under the new guidance, expressing limitations around caring for 'children and youth with diverse identities,' including LGBT identity, will not be considered 'inherently discriminatory'. These are normal considerations that belong in matching, not licensing," the guidance states.
The Vermont Department of Children and Families will not force foster parents to offer an “endorsement or affirmation of specific identities,” embrace the “use of particular vocabulary, prescribed language, or preferred pronouns related to gender identity, sexual orientation, or gender expression” or agree to “facilitate medical appointments or procedures related to gender-affirming care” as a condition for receiving the license necessary to serve as foster parents in the state. Steve Scalise rips Democrats for 'playing political games' with DHS shutdown amid Iran threat

House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La., is warning Democrats not to play politics with the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) funding, particularly as the country is on high alert for any fallout from the U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran.
"Put the safety and security of the American people first and stop playing political games to appease the far-left base, especially at a time like this," Scalise said in an interview with Fox News Digital.
The ongoing partial government shutdown centered on DHS, now in its 18th day, has taken on new significance in the wake of President Donald Trump's military action in Iran.
"We are on a higher level of alert, and this is not the time for Democrats to be playing games and shutting down the department that is focused on keeping Americans safe here at home," Scalise said. "So we're bringing this bill back up again to try to get them to come to their senses and open the Department of Homeland Security." Read more

People may not know that FEMA and other agencies like Coast Guard and TSA have no financial resources while ICE still has funds for their operation. Texas

The US Supreme Court on Monday blocked California’s secret gender transition policies for children and said the law likely violated parental rights.
The high court, in a 6-3 vote, allowed a lower court’s ruling in favor of parents who reject the evil policy on religious grounds to stand.
Liberal justices Sotomayor, Kagan, and Ketanji Brown Jackson dissented.
The Supreme Court on Monday barred California from enforcing state rules that restrict when schools can notify parents about students who come out as transgender and requires teachers to use children’s preferred pronouns. Read more

Thank You so very much Abba, for protecting parents's rights and authority to raise and protect their children. We also give praise for revealing which justices actually support allowing the state to use someone else's children as social engineering experiments and hiding it from the parents – an absolutely appalling, indefensible position. This outcome is a victory on both counts. We pray for these three justices to be removed from their seats and replaced with God-fearing, God-honoring justices, in Jesus's name. We pray for families to be very assertive in implementing this decision and declaring the rights of parents in California, so that all would know how to protect their children, in Jesus's name.

BREAKING: Iran Supreme Council Bombed While Gathering to Choose New Leadership

The Israel Defense Forces attacked a meeting of the Iranian Supreme Council on Tuesday, where officials were meeting to select a new Supreme Leader, following the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
A senior Israeli official told Fox News that, “Israel struck while they were counting the votes for the appointment of the supreme leader,” according to the network’s Chief Foreign Correspondent, Trey Yingst.
“This is a significant development, and again, speaks to the Israeli intelligence about this war,” Yingst said, while reporting from Tel Aviv. “They just targeted the meeting in Tehran, where what’s left of the leadership was gathering to choose a new Supreme Leader.”

A CBS reporter in Austin, Texas, defied an order that he apparently received from his superiors to de-emphasize the positive response at the state’s capitol from Americans to the U.S. military action against Iran over the weekend.
CBS News affiliate reporter Vinny Martorano had a hot-mic moment that has since gone viral, which showed him standing in front of demonstrators who were praising Trump and Israel for their attacks on Iran’s regime.
A crew member handed Martorano a phone before he went on air, which he read, apparently telling him to downplay expressions of support for the U.S. operation, dubbed Epic Fury, the Media Research Center’s Newsbusters reported.
“What does that mean?” the reporter asked.
“It means they don’t want us to focus on this,” the crew member said.

5. US Embassy in Riyadh Hit by Drones, Saudi Defense Ministry Says - Newsmax
The U.S. embassy in Riyadh was hit by two drones, resulting in a limited fire and some material damage, the kingdom's defense ministry said in a post on X on Tuesday, citing an initial assessment.

In Daniel 8:19, Gabriel says, “Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be. The ram which you saw having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia. And the rough goat is the king of Grecia.” Strong’s Concordance interprets the word “Grecia” in Hebrew as “Yavan, a son of Japheth (the third son of Noah),” his descendants and their land. The Genesis 10 table of nations indicates this area was not only Greece (as Bible interpretations imply), but also the Eastern Mediterranean, including key parts of today’s Turkey. Other sons of Japheth were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras—many settled in ancient areas of Turkey, which are mentioned in Ezekiel 38. Coady, 20, of West Des Moines, Iowa, died March 1 in Port Shuaiba, Kuwait, during an unmanned aircraft system attack while supporting Operation Epic Fury.
All four soldiers were assigned to the 103rd Sustainment Command in Des Moines, Iowa, according to the Army.
Officials said the incident remains under investigation. Two additional service members killed in the attack have not yet been publicly identified pending notification of their families. Read more

Father, God of all Comfort, we pray for the families of every person who has been lost in this attack. We ask You to be the ever-present help for each one and we honor the lives of these four and the others and ask that their memories are etched on the hearts of each family member, in Jesus's name. We pray for all vulnerable people across the entire Gulf region to be sheltered by Your Holy Spirit so that the enemy, natural and spiritual, has no glory from any harm, in Jesus's name. We pray for the interception systems to be powerful and even super-charged in order to take down the drones and missiles, and may all the launchers and launch sites be quickly destroyed, in Jesus's name. Witkoff said Iranian negotiators opened by declaring their "undeniable right to enrich all of their nuclear fuel" — and then dropped a bombshell. Mighty God, we are so deeply thankful that Iran did not have the opportunity to build and fire nuclear weapons at Israel and the U.S., in Your name. We repudiate this proud statement as such a remarkably defiant declaration of plan and intent meant to bring everyone to their knees in fear and submission. We bless our President for being a courageous man of his word and decisive in his discipline of wrong-doers, in Jesus's name. You have given him wisdom and a prophetic ability to see and know what's down the road and a team working with him on behalf of this nation to bring peace and order to the earth while stemming the overreach of the globalists. The only total lunar eclipse of 2026 unfolded in the pre-dawn hours of Tuesday, March 3, causing the moon to turn red in a phenomenon often called a "Blood Moon."
Totality was visible across parts of western North America, where the eclipse reached its peak in the pre-dawn hours. Farther east, including the eastern United States, the total eclipse was not visible, though some areas were able to catch partial phases of the event.
People across Australia, New Zealand and eastern Asia were also able to catch a glimpse of the eclipsed moon, at least where the weather cooperated. Read More
