Faith Leaders Gather in Oval Office to Pray for President amidst Consequential Moment
|
|
Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC), joined a group of prominent faith leaders in the Oval Office yesterday to pray with and for the President of the United States during a moment of significant global responsibility and national leadership.
The gathering, facilitated by Pastor Paula White-Cain and Jennifer Korn of the White House Faith Office, brought together several core faith leaders—many of whom were part of the original coalition of Christian leaders who stood together in 2016—to intercede for the President and the nation.
During the time together, the leaders prayed for wisdom, protection, and guidance for the President as he leads the country through a complex and consequential moment in world affairs.
The prayer gathering occurred as the President continues to serve as Commander-in-Chief during a major military campaign, Operation Epic Fury, in which U.S. forces are targeting Iranian Regime infrastructure and missile capabilities. Rodriguez described the gathering as a powerful reminder that faith continues to play an important role in moments of national leadership. (NHCLC) Read More Here

Abba we lift praise for those You've strategically placed around President Trump, for such a time as this, to humbly lift prayer to Almighty God. May Your wisdom only be sought during this critical time in history. We are grateful for a President and War Cabinet that understands the power of prayer and importance of seeking the Lord to ensure a successful military campaign. Hear the prayers of Your people Father, and provide heavenly strategies, protection and guidance for President Trump, P.M. Netanyahu, all military counsel, our troops and the IDF, so the world will know we stand together in UNITY and VICTORY with Jehovah Nissi, 'The Lord who is our Banner'! In the powerful Name and Blood of Yeshua, we pray- Amen.
"For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory." (Deuteronomy 20:4)

Trump Says He Wants ‘Unconditional Surrender’ From Iran, Will Help Rebuild Country
|
|
President Donald Trump said on March 6 that he wants unconditional surrender from the Iranian regime and would then work to “bring Iran back from the brink.” His comments come in the midst of a week-long U.S. and Israeli military campaign targeting the country.
Detailing what the administration wants from Iran to potentially stop the military operation that took out the Islamic Republic’s top leadership, Trump wrote on social media that “there will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!”
The president then suggested that he wants to select Iranian leaders on his terms. He added that the United States, “and many of our wonderful and very brave allies and partners, will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction, making it economically bigger, better, and stronger than ever before.” (The Epoch Times) Read more

Lord, we pray for continued wisdom as President Trump navigates this war and the aftermath. Grant all of US and Israeli leadership the ability, faith and knowledge to know how to finish the mission.
“Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” (Ephesians 5:15-17)

House follows Senate action as it votes to let Trump's Operation Epic Fury continue in Iran
|
|
The House of Representatives voted to allow President Donald Trump to continue Operation Epic Fury in Iran on Thursday.
The resolution was introduced by Reps. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., and Ro Khanna, D-Calif. Several Democrats joined all Republicans except two, Massie and Warren Davidson of Ohio, who voted against it.
The vote in the House was 212-219.
The resolution was aimed at blocking Trump from continuing to use the Armed Forces in the joint U.S.-Israeli operation in Iran. The Senate blocked the resolution on Wednesday.
The Trump administration, and now a vast majority of Republicans in Congress as well, argue that the president has acted within his authority as commander in chief, according to Fox News. (Just The News) Read more

Lord, thank You that both the House and Senate rejected Democrats’ attempt to throw the Trump administration into chaos in the middle of the war. We ask that this war last only as long as necessary to complete the stated objectives.

Trump says Iran ‘will be hit very hard’ despite apology for striking neighbors
|
|
President Trump vowed early Saturday to press on with U.S. military operations against Iran, declaring the country would be “hit very hard,” even after its president apologized for attacks against regional neighbors.
“Today Iran will be hit very hard! Under serious consideration for complete destruction and certain death, because of Iran’s bad behavior, are areas and groups of people that were not considered for targeting up until this moment in time,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.
The warning came after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian defiantly rejected Trump’s demand for “unconditional” surrender in a video message filmed as the conflict entered a second week.
Pezeshkian said that is a “dream that they should take to their grave,” according to The Associated Press.
He also said that Iran’s temporary leadership council, which has been in charge since Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in joint U.S.-Israeli strikes last Saturday, had agreed to halt strikes against other countries in the region unless the attacks originated from their territory. Trump and first lady attend dignified transfer for 6 US troops killed in Kuwait
|
|
President Trump and first lady Melania Trump participated in a dignified transfer at Dover Air Force Base in Kent County, Delaware, on Saturday for six U.S. service members killed in a March 1 Iranian drone attack in Kuwait.
The solemn ritual returns the remains of troops killed in action and is considered one of the most somber duties of a commander-in-chief.
The fallen troops were killed in Port Shuaiba, Kuwait, while supporting Operation Epic Fury.
Transfer cases were used to move the soldiers to Dover Air Force Base, where they will be identified and prepared for their journey home.
After identification, the fallen, who were assigned to the 103rd Sustainment Command from Des Moines, Iowa, are placed in a casket and transported to their final resting places. (Fox News) Read more here

Lord of Comfort and Love, we ask for Your personal touch for each of these families. Let Your Presence be felt not just in their hearts but fully fill their minds with the knowledge. We thank You that our leaders attended this dignified transfer with grace and did not look at their watches as the administration did.
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

US-sanctioned Mojtaba Khamenei named Iran’s next supreme leader after father’s death: reports
|
|
|
Ali Khamenei's son was born in 1969, and has been sanctioned by the US since 2019 for representing his father in official capacity
|
|
|
Iran’s Assembly of Experts has elected Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as the country’s new supreme leader, according to Iranian state television.
Mojtaba Khamenei, 56, is the second-eldest son of Ali Khamenei and was born in Mashhad in 1969. His early childhood coincided with his father’s rise as a revolutionary figurehead opposing the monarchy of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.
After the Islamic Revolution in 1979, Ali Khamenei moved from a dissident cleric to a senior government official, holding key posts in the regime including deputy defense minister.
The family moved from Mashhad to Tehran, where Mojtaba attended Alavi High School, which is a school that is known for educating members of Iran’s political and religious elite. There, he received a general and religious education and graduated in 1987. In 1989, after the death of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, Ali Khamenei was appointed supreme leader.
In an Axios interview last week, when asked about reports suggesting Mojtaba Khamenei was the new supreme leader, President Donald Trump said, "Khamenei's son is unacceptable to me. We want someone who will bring harmony and peace to Iran." Trump also said "They are wasting their time. Khamenei's son is a lightweight. I have to be involved in the appointment, like with Delcy [Rodriguez] in Venezuela." (Fox News) Read more here.

Father, this man has been steeped in the radical, evil ideology of Islam all of his life. Because of that, he is not someone who would help the Iranian people or the Christians in the country. We pray for You to visit him in the night seasons and if possible, reveal to him the truth. If heart change is not possible, if he continues to adhere to jihadist ideology, we pray that he and everyone like him be removed immediately from any position of leadership in Iran.
"In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they slumber in their beds, he may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, to preserve them from the pit, their lives from perishing by the sword." (Job 33:15-18)

2. Netanyahu tells Iranians freedom is near as Israel hits Iran’s oil depots for first time - Times of Israel
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday said the US-Israeli bombing campaign in Iran would continue unabated and that the “moment of truth” was nearing for Iranians to overthrow their government.
His comments came as the IDF said it struck Iran’s two “most central” ballistic missile sites, and, in an apparent first, oil infrastructure in Tehran.
Later on Saturday night, US President Donald Trump told reporters that the war “will continue for a while longer” without providing a timeline, and pointed to the October 7, 2023, onslaught led by Iran’s terrorist ally Hamas, as evidence of the regime’s “evil.”

The Magen David Adom ambulance service said a man in his 40s was seriously wounded in Tel Aviv.
In Petah Tikva, five others were hurt, including a man aged 25 in moderate condition and three in good condition.
More than a dozen impact sites were reported across central Israel, police officials said, adding that the spread of the impact sites indicated that the Iranian ballistic missile was likely carrying a cluster bomb warhead. Read more

1. Trump meets with Latin American leaders turning his attention to the Western Hemisphere- CBS
President Trump encouraged Latin American leaders to band together to combat violent cartels as his administration looks to demonstrate it is still committed to sharpening U.S. foreign policy focus on the Western Hemisphere, even as it deals with five-alarm crises around the globe.
The gathering, which the White House called the "Shield of the Americas" summit, came just two months after Trump ordered an audacious U.S. military operation to capture Venezuela's then-president, Nicolás Maduro, and whisk him and his wife to the United States to face drug conspiracy charges.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Trump said the assembled leaders are united in "the conviction that we cannot and will not tolerate the lawlessness in our hemisphere any longer."
He was joined by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Former Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, who was recently named Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas – Western Hemisphere, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, and U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer were also in attendance.
Mr. Trump focused a portion of his remarks on the cartels running Mexico, saying that the "epicenter of cartel violence" stems from the country. He added that cartels fuel and orchestrate "a deep bloodshed and chaos" in the hemisphere, before signing a proclamation that the president said will establish an Americas counter-cartel coalition.
"The only way to defeat these enemies is by unleashing the power of our militaries," Mr. Trump said. "We have to use our military. You have to use your military." Read more

2. Trump: Cuba ‘is gonna fall pretty soon … they want to make a deal’ – New York Post
President Trump claimed Friday that the Communist dictatorship on the island of Cuba is on its last legs.
“Cuba is gonna fall pretty soon, by the way, unrelated, but Cuba is gonna fall too,” the president told CNN host Dana Bash in a phone interview.
“They want to make a deal so badly. They want to make a deal, and so I’m going to put [Secretary of State] Marco [Rubio] over there and we’ll see how that works out. We’re really focused on this one [Iran] right now. We’ve got plenty of time, but Cuba’s ready — after 50 years.
“I’ve been watching it for 50 years, and it’s fallen right into my lap — because of me, it’s fallen — but it’s nevertheless fallen right into the lap. And we’re doing very well.”
Cuba’s economy has been in a tailspin since the United States cut off its access to oil and money coming in from Venezuela earlier this year, resulting in fuel shortages, power cuts and food scarcity. Read more

3. U.S. and Venezuela Agree to Restore Diplomatic Ties on Anniversary of Hugo Chávez’s Death- Breitbart
The United States and Venezuela on Thursday agreed to restore diplomatic ties between both countries after seven years, both countries announced.
The U.S. State Department said in a statement:
The United States and Venezuela’s interim authorities have agreed to re-establish diplomatic and consular relations. This step will facilitate our joint efforts to promote stability, support economic recovery, and advance political reconciliation in Venezuela.
Our engagement is focused on helping the Venezuelan people move forward through a phased process that creates the conditions for a peaceful transition to a democratically elected government.
The United States remains committed to supporting the Venezuelan people and working with partners across the region to advance stability and prosperity.
The Venezuelan regime, for its part, confirmed its intention to restore diplomatic and consular ties with the United States through an official statement published by Foreign Minister Yván Gil on social media.
“The Bolivarian Government reaffirms its willingness to move forward in a new stage of constructive dialogue, based on mutual respect, the sovereign equality of States, and cooperation between our peoples,” the statement read in part.
“Venezuela expresses its confidence that this process will contribute to strengthening understanding and opening opportunities for a positive and mutually beneficial relationship. These relations should result in the social and economic well-being of the Venezuelan people,” the statement continued. Read more

Lord, as we pray that Venezuela grows into a good ally in the region, we also bind any deception or lies that could derail the relationship. We ask that You prevent any part of the dictatorial regime from rearing its ugly head now or in the future so that the people of Venezuela will be free.
“You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.” (2 Corinthians 9:11)

4. Parents, not bureaucrats, raise America’s children and the Supreme Court agrees- Fox
The United States Supreme Court issued a landmark ruling that should strike fear into woke school boards across America. In Mirabelli v. Bonta, the Court held that a California law preventing schools from disclosing to parents their child’s claimed "gender identity" at school violated parents’ free exercise rights under the Constitution’s First Amendment and their substantive due process rights under the Fourteenth Amendment.
The Supreme Court determined that California’s policy of socially transitioning children to a different gender at school without parental consent likely violates the free exercise rights of those who have "sincere religious beliefs about sex and gender, and feel a religious obligation to raise their children in accordance with those beliefs." The court went on to note that this "unconsented facilitation of a child’s gender transition is greater than the indoctrination of LGBTQ story books" that the court addressed last summer in Mahmoud v. Taylor. The court similarly found in Mahmoud that Montgomery County Public Schools violated the rights of objecting parents. That school district paid out $1.5 million to settle the case.
The court also made clear that California’s policy requiring schools to keep a student’s "gender identity" secret from parents likely violated their well-established "rights to direct the upbringing and education of their children" and that the denial of these rights "constitutes irreparable harm." 5. SCOTUS Rules That Courts Should Defer To Immigration Judges On Asylum Cases- The Federalist
The U.S. Supreme Court unanimously sided with the Trump administration on Wednesday in a dispute over the standard for reviewing the cases of illegal aliens seeking asylum in the United States.
“We granted certiorari to determine whether the Court of Appeals applied the appropriate standard of review under the [Immigration and Nationality Act] INA. We conclude that the statute requires application of the substantial-evidence standard to the agency’s conclusion that a given set of undisputed facts does not constitute persecution. Accordingly, we affirm,” Associate Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson wrote for the court.
Known as Urias-Orellana v. Bondi, the case centers around Salvadoran national Humberto Urias-Orellana, who fled his country alongside his family and illegally entered the United States in 2021 after reportedly facing violence in El Salvador. After being designated for removal by federal officials, Urias-Orellana sought asylum under the argument that he and his family faced persecution in El Salvador — claims which were rejected by an immigration judge (IJ).
The immigration judge’s determinations that the alleged violence Urias-Orellana faced did not amount to persecution, and therefore, he did not qualify for asylum, were later affirmed by the Board of Immigration Appeals and the 1st Circuit Court of Appeals. (Immigration judges and the BIA fall under the executive branch. Read more

Father, immigration judges should have been the ones used rather than district judges from the beginning. The use of District judges by Democrats has led to confusion and conflict with the Trump administration. Thank You for this ruling, and we pray that as deportations and asylum claims move forward, the immigration judges would be allowed to do their jobs. We also ask for a move of repentance across all of the judicial branch, to bring about their ability to judge righteously.

6. Exclusive: Rep. Andy Biggs Unveils ‘Protect Liberty and End Warrantless Surveillance Act’ – Breitbart
Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) on Thursday unveiled the Protect Liberty and End Warrantless Surveillance Act, a bill that would reauthorize Section 702 of FISA, while protecting Americans’ civil liberties.
“National security and civil liberties are not mutually exclusive. We can give our intelligence professionals the tools they need to target foreign threats while ensuring that Americans are not subjected to unconstitutional surveillance,” Biggs told Breitbart News in a written statement.
Section 702 is a surveillance authority meant to be used to spy on foreign adversaries; however, many Americans’ private communications incidentally get surveilled without a warrant, contrary to the Fourth Amendment protections against warrantless surveillance.
Biggs, a privacy advocate and the Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Federal Government Surveillance chair, proposed the legislation as Section 702 would need to be reauthorized by mid-April. Read more

Russia providing Iran intelligence to target US forces, officials say
|
|
|
Russia is providing Iran with information to target US forces in the Middle East, The Washington Post reported on Friday, citing three officials familiar with the matter.
According to the report, Russia has been giving Iran the locations of US military assets since the outbreak of the war, including warships and aircraft.
This signals that the expanding conflict now includes one of the US's biggest nuclear competitors with "exquisite intelligence capabilities," The Post noted, adding that it also marks a shift from what experts previously thought, namely that Russia would stay away from the conflict and limit its response to diplomatic condemnations. Lord God, if this report is true, the “intelligence” provided by Moscow is poor given the ability of the US to take out so many things in Iran. We bind Russia from continuing these actions and pray for a hedge of protection around all troops and nations helping us take down the Iranian regime. Let the United States and Israel prevail and let a mighty move of Your Spirit sweep across the Middle East to draw people to Your heart.

Trump admin squashes controversial Biden rule forcing foster homes to affirm children's LGBTQ+ status
|
|
|
A rule implemented during the Biden administration, requiring prospective foster homes to prove they will support a child's gender transition, or lesbian, gay or bisexual status, in order to retain federal funding, has been formally rescinded by the Trump administration Friday.
A Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPR) was published in the federal register Friday morning to formally rescind the 2022 rule titled, "Designated Placement Requirements Under Titles IV-E and IV-B for LGBTQI+ Children," which a court in Texas already vacated in June.
The move follows a warning letter sent to all 50 states, telling them that as long as they receive federal child welfare funding, they are obligated to ensure the removal of any kid from their home must be grounded in "objective evidence of harm or imminent risk," citing reports of states removing children from their parent's homes because the parents disagreed with their children's gender transition. Trump Announces Military Coalition With Latin American Leaders to Eradicate Cartels
|
|
|
|
DORAL, Fla.—U.S. President Donald Trump on March 7 welcomed his Latin American allies to Florida for a summit focused on addressing regional issues and announced a new military coalition to combat drug cartels in the Western Hemisphere.
“On this historic day, we come together to announce a brand new military coalition to eradicate the criminal cartels plaguing our region,” Trump said as he began his remarks at the summit.
He said that the new partnership, called the Americas Counter Cartel Coalition, will leverage military resources, including the possible use of missiles, to combat the cartels.
The heads of state of Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, Panama, Paraguay, and Trinidad and Tobago attended today’s summit, the White House said.
The event, called the Shield of the Americas Summit, took place at Trump National Doral Club in Miami and was the first such regional meeting to bring together, as the State Department described, “like-minded allies” in the Western Hemisphere.
“We’re going to be doing some incredible things together,” Trump told the leaders.
All countries in attendance are governed by right-wing or center-right parties, while left-leaning governments such as Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico did not participate in the summit.
On March 5, Trump announced that outgoing Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem will lead the effort as special envoy for the Shield of the Americas.
During his remarks, Trump criticized previous U.S. administrations for abandoning the Western Hemisphere. “They went so far away. They went to these faraway places where they weren’t even wanted,” Trump said. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.
