‘This is love in motion’:
Church gives away groceries to 400 families in need
|
|
A congregation in Georgia recently gave away groceries to 400 area families in need. Solid Rock Church of Midland, which has an average weekly worship attendance of 300 people, held a grocery giveaway event on Saturday. Lead Pastor Jay Bailey told The Christian Post that the event was “much more than giving away food,” as it was truly “'about neighbor helping neighbor.' We decided to do the grocery giveaway because we realized that many in our community are going through a difficult time, and if we could, in some small way, make a difference in helping to fill the gap, we would be living out the love of Christ,” said Bailey.
Solid Rock had previously held grocery giveaway events, specifically during the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns. Saturday's event, however, was different "in both size and scale," according to Bailey, who said the church distributed more than 1,500 bags and 250 boxes of nonperishable items to those in need. “Anytime we can demonstrate the love of Jesus in practical ways to those in need, we are showing people they matter to God and to us,” Bailey emphasized. “Exhibited compassion is living out the ethic of Jesus. The Gospel transcends our confession; it must be reflected in our care for people. Our love and faith require demonstration. This is love in motion.” (Christian Post) Read More Here

Father, we thank You for opportunities to be the hands and feet of Christ within the communities we live in. We pray for families that are receiving food from church pantries across our nation and ask that each individual would feel the love of Jesus and become thirsty to hear the gospel, especially as we come into the holiday season. Bless this congregation and every church that has opened doors wide, to provide for the needs of others and to claim Jesus Christ as our Lord, Savior and faithful Provider! We pray in the Name of Jehovah Jireh, "The Lord will provide".-Amen.
"And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19)

Senate Approves Bill to Release Epstein Files, Sending It to Trump
|
|
The Senate unanimously approved a bill on Nov. 18 to require the Department of Justice to release more files surrounding the deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The bill will go to President Donald Trump for his signature as the House passed the bill earlier in the day, 427-1.
The Epstein Files Transparency Act, introduced by Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) and co-sponsored by Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), would order the Department of Justice to release “in a searchable and downloadable format all unclassified records, documents, communications, and investigative materials” tied to Epstein no later than 30 days following the enactment of the bill.
The president has said he would sign the bill if it comes to his desk.
“We have nothing to do with Epstein. The Democrats do. All of his friends were Democrats,” he said in the Oval Office on Nov. 17.
“I’m going to vote to move this forward. I think it could be close to a unanimous vote, because everybody here, all the Republicans, want to go on record to show your maximum transparency,” he said. “But they also want to know that we’re demanding that this stuff get corrected.”
Rep. Jim McGovern (D-Mass.) said that the bill is needed.
“At the end of the day, this is not about us and it’s not about politics,” he said. “This is about the survivors. Young girls who were exploited by powerful men. Men who used money and power to take advantage of girls, some as young as 11 years old.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Abba, Mr. Epstein was a very sick son of Yours. We ask that this information be used to identify those who were being led by the enemy, not for shaming someone involved without their consent. We plead the blood of Jesus over all of this information, that only Your intentions will be done, that the guilty will be named and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We ask for all who were abused, tortured, raped and shamed be under Your blood, that no harm of any kind will be allowed into their lives because this information is being released. We ask that any senators or congressmen who are indicted be removed from office in our government, and new elections be held for their seats. Lord God, all that happened on Mr. Epstein's jet, homes or island is evil of the darkest kind. We ask Holy Spirit to bring conviction to all involved, show them how You see them, let their hearts break as You show them who they truly are. Let this pain bring them to repentance. We ask this in the name Yahweh Rapha, The Lord Our Healer. Amen
"I have seen their ways, but I will heal
them; I will guide them and
restore comfort to their mourners."

Abba, thank You that Your son, Donald, is one to create and strengthen relationships between countries. Thank You that the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammad bin Salmon, came to the White House to continue building the relationship between our two countries. Father God, we ask You to be part of how this agreement plays out over the next years, and protect the relationship built that allows the countries to work together even when we don't necessarily agree on all things. We ask You to cover these agreements with the Blood of Jesus. Keep the enemy from sowing strife of any kind and allow this relationship between 2 major countries to continue building trust and respect. We ask this in the name El Shaddai, God Almighty, The God who has ultimate power over all things.

and lean not on your own
understanding;
in all your ways submit to him, and
he will make your paths straight."

Mexico's president firmly refuses Trump's proposal for US military strikes against cartels

|
|
Mexican president responds to Trump's 'whatever it takes' comment about military action against drug cartels
|
|
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum on Tuesday rejected the idea of U.S. military strikes against cartels on Mexican soil, responding to President Donald Trump’s comments that he would do "whatever it takes" to stop drugs from entering the U.S.
The Associated Press reported that Sheinbaum said Mexico would not allow foreign military action in its territory and reaffirmed her government’s position against any U.S. intervention.
Trump said Monday he would consider authorizing U.S. strikes inside Mexico to halt the flow of drugs, calling it "OK with me" if that’s what it takes to protect American lives. He cited what he described as major success intercepting narcotics by sea and suggested similar operations could target cartel routes on land, arguing that such action would save "millions of lives" in the U.S.
Sheinbaum pushed back quickly, saying the proposal echoed earlier talks with Trump about potential U.S. intervention. She said Mexico welcomes cooperation on security but that its sovereignty is nonnegotiable, stressing that any joint efforts must respect its authority within its own borders.
"It’s not going to happen," Sheinbaum told reporters, noting Trump has previously floated U.S. military intervention to combat criminal organizations.
She said she told both Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio that while Mexico welcomes intelligence sharing, it will not permit foreign forces to operate within its borders. Sheinbaum said both U.S. leaders appeared to understand her position.
"We operate in our territory," she said, emphasizing Mexico’s sovereignty. (Fox News) Read more here.

Abba, the response of the Mexican President, Claudia Sheinbaum, to President Trump's offer to help destroy the cartels in her country doesn't make much sense. She has been saying that her government is working to take out the drug cartels, but so far there doesn't seem to be much damage to their organizations. We ask in Your mercy to speak to Ms. Sheinbaum's heart, and allow the reality of what is going on in her country to bring her face to face with the truth. Let that truth change her attitude towards President Trump's offer of help to take out the cartels. Holy Spirit, we ask You to pour this truth into the hearts of all involved with the cartel issue. Let them see that if their country could destroy the cartels, it would have. Jesus, we ask You to speak to President Trump, and give him wisdom in what to say and how to move in these circumstances. Keep him from moving outside Your pathway. We ask this in the name El Roi, The God Who Sees everything.
"His eyes are on the ways of
mortals; he sees their every step."

Israel hails Trump after UN Security Council backs US-led Gaza peace plan
|
|
|
Jerusalem applauds President Donald Trump and his “tireless and devoted team,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Tuesday morning following the United Nations Security Council’s endorsement of Washington’s 20-point peace plan for Gaza.
“The courage and sacrifice of our brave soldiers, along with President Trump’s diplomatic efforts, helped bring home all of the living hostages and most of the deceased ones,” the prime minister tweeted in English.
The Jewish state is convinced that Trump’s peace plan “will lead to peace and prosperity because it insists upon full demilitarization, disarmament and the deradicalization of Gaza,” he continued.
The resolution “will lead to further integration of Israel and its neighbors,” as well as the possible expansion of the Abraham Accords with Arab and Muslim nations, said Netanyahu.
Jerusalem continues to demand that the remaining three hostage bodies held by Hamas be returned for burial “with no delay,” so that the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, which includes the terror organization being disarmed and the Strip being demilitarized, can start, he added. Abba, we thank You that the UN has voted to approve the Gaza peace plan that President Trump put forward. We ask You to work in the midst of this peace plan implementation to ensure that Hamas is disarmed and deradicalized as a defense against them ever attacking Israel again. We ask that those Gazan's who will be participating in policing their land have hearts of truth and honesty so this plan can move forward without Israel being concerned over another surprise attack. Father God, we ask You to intervene in all of the plans being made to bring peace to Israel and Gaza, that You will be the true police of what is going on in the unseen. We ask You to download an alert to Your believers not only in Israel but over the world if plans to hurt Israel or any of her people are being developed. Stop any harm before it can begin. We ask this in the name Yahweh Sabaoth, The Lord of Hosts, the God who has multitudes of men and angels waiting for his call to protect His people.
"You intended to harm me, but God intended
it for good to accomplish what is
now being done, the saving of many lives."

1. Netanyahu leads visit to IDF-controlled security zone in southern Syria - JNS
Israel may need to defend itself or strike in “at any moment” the Israel Defense Forces-controlled security zone in southern Syria, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said during a visit to the area on Wednesday with other top officials.
“We attribute enormous importance to our defensive and offensive ability here; it’s a mission that could develop at any moment,” Netanyahu said, according to a statement by the Prime Minister’s Office.
According to the PMO, the high-level delegation that accompanied Netanyahu also included Defense Minister Israel Katz; Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar; IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir; Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) director David Zini; and Yechiel Leiter, Israeli ambassador to the United States. (Read more)

2. High Court orders government to explain why it’s not launching Oct. 7 state inquiry - Times of Israel
The High Court of Justice on Wednesday issued a preliminary order against the government, instructing it to justify its reasons for not establishing a state commission of inquiry into the events surrounding the catastrophic Hamas invasion and massacres in southern Israel on October 7, 2023.
The court demanded to know why the government is not exercising its authority to establish such a commission, which could “examine in an independent, professional, and impartial manner” the events surrounding the October 7 attacks.
Preliminary orders switch the burden of proof from the petitioner, in this case several liberal watchdog groups, to the respondent — the government — and indicate that the court is taking the petitions very seriously. (Read more)

3. Israel Steps Up Strikes in South Lebanon, Targeting Both Hamas and Hezbollah
- Algemeiner
The Israeli military stepped up airstrikes in south Lebanon on Wednesday, killing at least one person as it pressed a campaign of near-daily attacks which it says is designed to block a military revival by Iran-backed Hezbollah in the border area.
Israel has accused Hezbollah, an internationally designated terrorist organization, of trying to rearm since a US-backed ceasefire halted its war with the Lebanese Islamist group last year. The group says it has abided by requirements for it to end its military presence in the border region near Israel, and for the Lebanese army to deploy there.
On Wednesday, residents fled after Israel issued warnings on social media identifying buildings it planned to strike in four villages in the south, saying it was attacking Hezbollah military infrastructure.
Strikes on the villages – Deir Kifa, Chehour, Aainata and Tayr Filsay – sent thick plumes of smoke into the air. (Read more)

4. IDF reveals: Hezbollah rebuilding terror infrastructure in village of Beit Lif
- Israel National News
The IDF has revealed that Hezbollah is working to restore its assets and capabilities in the village of Beit Lif in southern Lebanon, in blatant violation of the understandings established between Israel and Lebanon.
According to the information presented, the organization is attempting to reinforce its infrastructure in the rural area by extensively using civilian buildings.
Led by the Northern Command and in cooperation with the Intelligence Directorate, dozens of terror infrastructures were identified within the village, including headquarters, weapons depots, and additional operational sites. According to the IDF, some of the equipment was hidden inside private homes of local residents and near public buildings, exploiting the civilian environment. (Read more)

5. Mossad unveils network of Hamas terror infrastructure across Europe
- Jerusalem Post
A network of Hamas terror-affiliated infrastructure across Europe was exposed by the Mossad, the spy agency said on Wednesday, as it revealed the prolonged investigation it had conducted with European intelligence and law enforcement to thwart planned attacks against Israeli and Jewish targets.
The Mossad said that already in September, it had assisted European authorities in identifying Mahmoud Naim – the son of a top Hamas official, Basem Naim, who is himself a senior adviser to Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya – as the orchestrator of this overall plot. According to the Mossad, Naim had met with his father in Qatar to facilitate the ploy, illustrating that Hamas, at its highest levels, was sponsoring terrorist schemes.
Hamas officials in Turkey have also been involved. (Read more)

1.Utah Redistricting Ruling Sparks Judicial Power Debate - Million Voices
In November 2025, Utah found itself at the center of a national debate over judicial power. Judge Dianna Gibson of the 3rd District Court rejected the congressional map drawn by the Republican-controlled legislature and replaced it with one proposed by the plaintiffs in a redistricting lawsuit. That map gives Democrats a real chance to win a U.S. House seat in a state long considered safely Republican. The Associated Press reported that this decision “boosts Democrats in a red state,” while critics quickly labeled it a political move cloaked in legal reasoning.
Some view the ruling as a correction of partisan gerrymandering. Others see it as a textbook example of judicial activism, when courts cross from interpreting the law into making it. This case has revived one of the oldest questions in American governance: should judges be referees or rule-makers? (Read more)

2. SCOTUS Takes on Women’s Sports - Million Voices
The Supreme Court is preparing to take up one of the most consequential cases of the decade: whether biological males who identify as female can compete in women’s sports. The outcome will decide not only the future of high school and college athletics but the meaning of Title IX itself. The case, which combines challenges from Idaho and West Virginia, will define whether sports categories should be based on biological sex or gender identity. Million Voices explains that the ruling will determine if states can legally protect fairness for girls under the long-standing federal protections created by Title IX.
At the center of the battle are two laws, Idaho’s Fairness in Women’s Sports Act and West Virginia’s Save Women’s Sports Act. Both laws restrict participation on girls’ and women’s teams to biological females. According to CBN News, the justices will decide whether those laws violate the Equal Protection Clause or Title IX’s nondiscrimination provision. Supporters argue these acts simply preserve the purpose of women’s athletics: to ensure females compete on a level playing field. (Read more)

3. How States Quietly Gave Illegal Immigrants the Wheel - Million Voices
Across America, millions of people live and work in the country without legal status, and in nearly twenty states, they’re also legally driving. What was once unthinkable has now become normalized: states granting driver’s licenses, and even commercial driving credentials, to those who entered or remain in the country unlawfully.
According to Million Voices, 19 states and Washington, D.C., currently allow illegal immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses. These policies were originally framed as compassionate and practical, meant to make roads safer by requiring illegal immigrants to pass written tests, vision exams, and driving assessments. But as the nation has seen repeatedly, the unintended consequences can be devastating.
One example highlighted by Million Voices tells the story of an illegal immigrant truck driver in Florida who made an illegal U-turn, causing a deadly crash that killed a father of seven. The driver held a valid commercial license, issued by the state of California, despite never having legal status in the U.S. That tragic event illustrates the deeper issue: when states disregard federal immigration law, they create systemic risks that extend far beyond their borders. Father God, licensing unauthorized immigrants undermines safety and responsibility. Driving is a serious privilege that affects every person on the road, and states must ensure that those behind the wheel are fully accountable to U.S. law. So we pray you protect those on the roads each and every day. Keep drivers safe, while in the meantime, state and federal officials work to correct this travesty we have allowed to happen.
“So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.” (Romans 14:12)

4. Supreme Court Agrees to Hear Asylum Metering Case - Million Voices
The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to review whether the Trump administration acted lawfully when it limited how many migrants could request asylum at official border crossings. The case focuses on the controversial “metering” policy, which allowed border officers to turn people away when processing capacity was deemed full. The Court’s decision opens a new chapter in the ongoing national debate over asylum access and border management.
At the center of the case is whether migrants who wait in Mexico at the threshold of ports of entry should legally be considered as having “arrived” in the United States. According to reporting from Reuters, the metering system required migrants to wait on the Mexican side, sometimes for weeks, before being allowed to present themselves for asylum processing. The Supreme Court will now determine whether this practice violated federal asylum law, which states that anyone who “arrives in” the United States may apply for protection.
The lawsuit challenging the policy was filed by the advocacy group Al Otro Lado, which argued that the government cannot refuse to inspect asylum seekers who physically reach a port of entry. Migrants often presented themselves directly to U.S. officers but were told to remain in Mexico until further notice. According to Newsmax, plaintiffs argued that this left families stranded in dangerous conditions, exposed to cartel violence, extortion, and exploitation. (Read more)

5. Scathing report calls on US to label Islamist group infiltrating all aspects of American life as terrorist org - Fox News
A prominent global research center has released a comprehensive report on what it says is a multi-generational campaign by the Muslim Brotherhood to "transform Western society from within" and covertly infiltrate the United States.
The 200-page report, released by the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy on Wednesday, draws from internal Brotherhood documents, such as the "1982 Project" and "1991 Explanatory Memorandum" and makes the case that Western freedoms have been systematically leveraged to advance Islamist ideological goals as the group continues its five-decade plan to embed itself in the United States.
The Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamist organization founded in Egypt, has gained access to government agencies, been involved in advising American civil rights policy, infiltrated educational institutions, and created a vast social media footprint, the report states.(Read more)

Stupidocrisy—The Schumer Shutdown
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, November 19, 2025
The federal government ground to a halt when Senate Democrats refused to pass a continuing resolution unless it included billions in health care subsidies. Fourteen attempts failed to reach the 60-vote threshold needed to keep the lights on. This record-breaking shutdown hurt not only federal workers but also the contractors who depend on those jobs. Air-traffic safety was compromised, paychecks vanished, and families relying on government assistance faced uncertainty. What started as a demand for taxpayer-funded healthcare benefits, including illegal immigrants, became a national self-inflicted wound. The Democrats played politics with people’s livelihoods and everyone lost. But Democrats refuse to take responsibility.
It’s a timeless truth: what government gives, it can also take away. Democrats and their media allies spun the shutdown as a Republican failure, claiming the GOP refused to help the poor. In reality, Democrats engineered the shutdown to protest Donald Trump’s policies, knowing full well the hardship it would cause. They used the chaos to blame Republicans for cutting off food stamps, delaying flights, and withholding healthcare. It was an old political trick: cause the pain, then accuse your opponents of being heartless. Meanwhile, the media parroted every talking point, fueling public outrage and fear. And the general public, trusting what they heard, believed the very architects of the crisis. Mission accomplished. Read More

Federal judge rules law requiring display of Ten Commandments in Texas classrooms unconstitutional

|
|
Judge Orlando L Garcia found that Senate Bill 10 violates the Establishment Clause of the US Constitution
|
|
|
A federal judge ruled that a Texas law requiring the Ten Commandments to be displayed in every public school classroom in the state is unconstitutional.
U.S. District Judge Orlando L. Garcia found that Senate Bill 10 violates the Establishment Clause of the U.S. Constitution, which prevents the government from establishing or favoring a religion.
"I am relieved that as a result of today's ruling, my children, who are among a small number of Jewish children at their schools, will no longer be continually subjected to religious displays," plaintiff Lenee Bien-Willner said in a statement. "The government has no business interfering with parental decisions about matters of faith."
Garcia's order directs school officials in the school districts included in the lawsuit to remove the displays by Dec. 1. (Fox News) Read more here.

(First prayer)
O Holy One,
It grieves our spirits to see that this Federal Judge has ruled that a Texas law requiring the Ten Commandments to be displayed in every public school classroom is unconstitutional. US District He has found that Senate Bill 10 violates the Establishment Clause of the US Constitution, which prevents the government from establishing or favoring a religion.
Father, we know that You can make a way where there is no way! We ask You, Lord, to watch over the independent school districts that this ruling does not apply to so that they continue to display their religious freedom. We bring Judge Garcia, the ACLU of Texas, Americans United for Separation of Church and State, and the Freedom From Religion Foundation into Your Courtroom of Heaven and ask You to show them Your truth so that they may repent, be sanctified, and set free. Lord, protect all of our school children from the wickedness of the evil one. In Jesus' name. Amen.
"Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you." (Psalm 89:14)
|
|
(Second prayer)
We pray Lord, that you strike down every attempt to block Your word from reaching the ears of our children. We pray that you shine Your light upon every educator in this great nation and show them that without You, there is no future for our children or our nation. We pray Lord our educators would acknowledge you and that you take care of those who fear you. In Your Name, Amen.
“And without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” – (Hebrews 11:6)

Noem says partnership will strengthen collective Arctic defense as Chinese vessels operate near US waters
|
|
|
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on Tuesday announced a strategic partnership with Canada and Finland to build nearly a dozen cutting-edge icebreaker ships to help defend the Arctic against rival powers such as China.
Noem signed a letter of intent on what’s been dubbed the Icebreaker Collaboration Effort (ICE Pact) alongside Canadian Ambassador to the U.S. Kirsten Hillman and Finland’s Minister of Economic Affairs Sakari Puisto at DHS headquarters in Washington, D.C.
"To thrive in the Arctic, we need icebreakers," Noem said, adding that the ICE Pact will help power the economies of the three countries and strengthen the collective Arctic defense.
Noem called the Arctic "the world's last, most wild frontier," where the U.S. and its allies, as well as their adversaries, are competing for strategic positions and the rich natural resources within the region.
Noem said soon after the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Storis, a polar icebreaker, was commissioned earlier this year, Chinese ships began to openly operate in and near U.S. Arctic waters.
"Their goal was clear. They wanted to test America's resolve," Noem said of China. "The Coast Guard responded immediately. In fact, we deployed the Cutter Healy and a fleet of air assets to the scene, and we escorted those intruders out of our waters. Our rapid response sent a clear message: Under President Trump's leadership, we will defend our sovereignty." (Fox News) Read more here.

|
Lord God,
We ask for divine wisdom and discernment for Homeland Security Secretary, Kristi Noem. As America, Canada and Finland announce the Artic Defense Pact, we ask, Lord, for you to oversee all the details of this agreement. As Chinese vessels operate more freely near or in US Artic waters, we see the need to have the Artic Defense Pact in place so that we can defend our sovereignty as a nation and compete for strategic positions and natural resources within the region. We thank you, God, for our Coast Guard, the Cutter Healy and our air assets who recently had to escort Chinese intruders out of our waters.
As America, Canada and Finland build more cutting edge icebreaker ships this will power the economies of the three countries and strengthen our defenses in the Artic. Father, we ask for protection as we enter into chaotic times and seasons. In Jesus' name. Amen.
" When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you." (Isaiah 43:2)

Headed for the exits: Why 3 dozen House members aren't running for re-election

Don Bacon, Jared Golden among lawmakers saying toxic political environment makes serving unpleasant

|
"We're above average," noted David Wasserman, a senior editor and elections analyst at the non-partisan political handicapper "The Cook Report," as he pointed to the pace of House retirement announcements so far this cycle.
And we've still got six weeks left until the calendar hits 2026.
Waves of retirement announcements traditionally come in the final month or two, amid the holiday season, in the year before congressional elections.
The party breakdown so far on the retirements: 15 Democrats and 21 Republicans.
A handful of the Democrats headed for the exits are in their 70s and 80s and retiring after long tenures in the House. The most prominent is 85-year-old former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
But in a continued sign that the bitter partisanship in the House has made the lower chamber in Congress far from a pleasant work environment, most of the members who are passing on re-election are much younger. (Fox News) Read more here.

Father God, we repent that not only Congress, but our entire nation, has fallen into this time of toxic rhetoric and lifestyle. These members, who are speaking the truth about the environment in Congress, only reflect what is now happening in our country. Help all of us, O Lord (Democrat and Republican) to come back to our senses, walking according to the truth of Your Word and speaking only words of blessing to others, and not curses. Thank You, Father God, for hearing our prayers,
amen and amen!

JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) — Indonesian authorities raised the alert for Mount Semeru volcano to the highest level on Wednesday after a series of eruptions prompted evacuations. The volcano is the highest peak on Java, the most densely populated island in Indonesia.
Mount Semeru in East Java province unleashed searing clouds of hot ash and a mixture of rock, lava and gas that traveled up to 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) down its slopes several times from midday to dusk, while a thick column of hot clouds rose 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) into the air, Indonesia’s Geology Agency said in a statement.
The eruptions that unfolded throughout the day blanketed several villages with falling ash and forced authorities to raise the volcano’s alert level twice, from the third-highest level to the highest, the agency said. No casualties have been reported.
More than 300 residents in the three villages most at risk in the district of Lumajang were evacuated to government shelters, said National Disaster Mitigation Agency’s spokesperson Abdul Muhari.
He said increased activity of the volcano on Wednesday afternoon prompted authorities to widen the danger zone to 8 kilometers (5 miles) from the crater. People were advised to keep away from an area along the Besuk Kobokan River, which is the path of the lava flow as searing gas flowed down Semeru’s slopes. (AP) Read More

"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."
