Marching Orders For Christians On Election Day
|
|
|
(Excerpt) America was “established by God” 250 years ago. And in that establishment, the Founders made it very clear that “We the People” were in charge, under the authority of “Nature and Nature’s God.” Therefore, we must be involved in every way we can (voting, for example, is basic) to preserve the governing authorities to which we are subject.
Further along this political-involvement track, I believe a much more powerful declaration can be made from that one big, beautiful prayer that Christians across the globe pray daily. A large part of the Our Father centers, in a very real sense, on both earthly and heavenly politics. After addressing our Holy Father in Heaven, Jesus continues by praying, “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.” Jesus concludes His beseechment with the words, “For Yours is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory forever, Amen.”
Should we not then work for God’s Kingdom to come here on Earth as it is in Heaven, not only in our own lives but in the life of our nation and, through this nation, the world? And is God’s Kingdom not built on righteousness and holiness? Our kingdom here, then, should reflect as much as possible those noble, ethereal, and eternal goals; and where it is made up of vile and detestable practices—abortion, child mutilation, open borders, etc.—should we not work to abolish them? We also pray in that same prayer the phrase “deliver us from evil.” Should we not work alongside our Father to bring that about?
St. James wrote: “But prove yourselves doers of the Word, and not just hearers who deceive themselves.” (NASB, James 1:22) Finally, this reminder from St. Paul… “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you. “Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.” (NIV, Ephesians 5:14–16) This is not a sit-on-your-hands (or just pray-with-your-hands) moment in the shaky life of America. The Scriptures and our Lord and Saviour give us our marching orders. Yes, pray. No question about that. But also vote. And whenever and wherever you can, and with whomever you can, be politically influential, always remembering to “speak the truth in love.” Doing that can result in advancing two kingdoms at once. Abba Father, on this important day of elections, we ask Your Holy Spirit to prompt Christians across our nation to make their vote known by heading to their polling places. We ask for Your mercy upon our country and pray for protection over our nation during this critical hour.
Protect those working at the polls and every citizen voting today. We stand together in unity, as Your saints, and decree and declare the United States of America will forever stand as 'One Nation Under God'! We ask You to intervene in the results of this election and proclaim only Your holy Will be done on earth as it is in heaven! In the powerful Name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
"When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan." (Proverb 29:2)

In Michigan: Democrats Melt Down After Haley Stevens Endorses Mike Rogers
|
|
|
Several Democrats melted down after Rep. Haley Stevens (D-MI) endorsed Republican Michigan U.S. Senate candidate Mike Rogers, describing her endorsement as a “despicable betrayal.”
Senate Minority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) noted that Senate Democrats are “united” in their support for Democrat Michigan U.S. Senate candidate Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed. Schumer also described Rogers as being “a tool” of President Donald Trump’s and of “billionaire donors.”
“This is a despicable betrayal from Rep. Stevens,” Schumer wrote in a post on X. “Senate Democrats are united in our support for Abdul El-Sayed, because we know he will fight for the economic interests of working families in Michigan, unlike Mike Rogers, who is a tool of Donald Trump and billionaire donors.”
In a post on X, the Democratic Party shared a video message from former President Barack Obama, in which Obama called for voters to “support Abdul El-Sayed.”

Lord God, with biblical principles at stake all the way down the ballot, Christians cannot stay home. So we pray your Spirit will convict your church that the church will turn out to vote in overwhelming numbers with conviction and godly principles. We pray for Michigan that a godly leader would come forth and lead with righteousness, in Jesus' name, amen.

25 Percent of Non-American Citizens in Single Town Illegally Voted in at Least One Federal Election: Nonprofit
|
|
|
According to a revelation out of one Maryland community, a substantial share of non-citizens allowed to vote locally also cast ballots for other races.
According to the American Center for Law and Justice, roughly one quarter of the non-citizens that Cheverly, Maryland, allows to vote in local elections have voted in at least one federal election.
“This is either evidence of massive voter fraud where non-citizens are voting in yet another state or gross incompetence on the part of voter registry officials,” the ACLJ wrote.
In November 2020, the community allowed non-citizens to vote in local contests and created a separate registry of voters. Non-citizens were told they are not allowed to vote in federal elections.
The American Accountability Foundation filed a Freedom of Information request in October 2025 for the records of the registry, but they were not made public for almost a year, and even then it took a lawsuit from the ACLJ to reveal what the town wanted to hide. (Western Journal) Read more here.

God, protect the integrity of our elections and expose any plans to subvert justice. Give wisdom to our leaders to lay aside all agendas and do what’s best for our country and our elections. Let our nation be a place where truth and justice are honored at every polling place. And lastly Lord, let our nation be a place that’s dedicated to You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Trump Uses Wartime Powers to Revive Long-Stalled Pipeline to Be Used By 'Tens of Millions of Americans'
|
|
|
President Donald Trump’s administration is putting up to $42 million in federal funding behind a natural gas pipeline that New York helped derail years ago, invoking national defense powers to revive the project as the White House pushes to lower energy costs across the Northeast.
The Department of Energy (DOE) announced Oct. 19 that the funding would advance the proposed 125-mile Constitution Pipeline, which would transport natural gas from Pennsylvania to New York.
The money would come through the Defense Production Act (DPA), a federal law granting the president authorities to strengthen industrial capabilities deemed essential to national defense.
“This is an outstanding use of the Defense Production Act — in fact it needs to be expanded, not only to the pipeline, but also to ALL Refineries in the United States,” energy analyst Stuart Turley told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
Turley argued that increasing refining capacity could help lower gasoline and diesel prices without forcing consumers to reduce demand.
The project could lower electricity and home heating costs while reducing the risk of blackouts during periods of peak demand, Energy Secretary Chris Wright said in the announcement.
“Despite America having an abundant supply of low-cost natural gas, tens of millions of Americans have limited access to this reliable energy source due to a lack of pipeline infrastructure,” Wright said. (The Western Journal) Read more here.

We thank you, Lord for this win and for everything this administration and this president is doing to lower gas prices and help oil production. We break any hindering spirits trying to hinder this from happening, that it ceases and desists in Jesus' name. We declare that America will be strengthened once again and be a positive light and force throughout this earth for you, Lord, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

Tensions Heat Up in Taiwan Strait as China Shadows US Warship, Separate Maritime Standoff Erupts Near Taiwan
|
|
|
Things are continuing to heat up in the Taiwan Strait as naval confrontations become more frequent and aggressive, though the first shot has not yet been fired.
China dispatched naval forces to shadow an American warship near a disputed South China Sea shoal Oct. 20 as Taiwan confronted a Chinese Coast Guard vessel accused of entering restricted waters with its tracking system disabled, according to the Chinese military and Taiwan Coast Guard.
The incidents underscore the growing risk of military confrontations in the region, where Chinese forces are increasingly challenging American and allied vessels.
The USS Charleston, an Independence-class littoral combat ship, entered waters near Sabina Shoal in the disputed Spratly Islands early Oct. 20, prompting Chinese naval forces to track and monitor the vessel, according to the PLA Southern Theater Command Navy.
“Taiwan has been getting its act together on defense at last, fielding capabilities designed to deny an invasion fleet (or a blockade fleet) access to the island across the Taiwan Strait,” James R. Holmes, the J. C. Wylie Chair of Maritime Strategy at the Naval War College, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “No access, no Chinese victory, and Taiwan stands. Beijing has been so domineering that it has united the countries along the first island chain against it, including ourselves since we are a resident power in the Western Pacific.”
“Beijing has been sustaining a significant naval presence in the Philippine Sea, including seabed survey ships in recent months and, notably, coast guard cutters,” Brent Sadler, a senior research fellow for naval warfare and advanced technology at the Heritage Foundation, told the DCNF. “China’s military maritime activity around Taiwan also provides ships and their crews with real-world operational experience in waters where they could be directed to operate during a future crisis or conflict. These activities, however, should be viewed in context. They are evolutionary steps in the PLA’s effort to develop the capabilities and operational proficiency Xi Jinping expects of the PLA by his 2027 Centennial Military Building Goal.”
Beijing accused the American vessel of entering Chinese territory without permission and dispatched naval forces to track its movements, according to the Chinese military.

2. Herzog urges factions to seek solutions to avert another election - JNS
Israeli President Isaac Herzog on Sunday urged Knesset factions to approach upcoming consultations with “an open heart” and seek ways to prevent another election.
Speaking at the state memorial ceremony for Israel’s first president, Chaim Weizmann, at Weizmann House in Rehovot, Herzog said he would receive the official election results on Wednesday from Central Elections Committee Chairman Justice Noam Sohlberg, deputy president of the Supreme Court. 3. Lieberman Throws Support Behind Eisenkot, Uniting Israel’s Jewish Opposition and Complicating Netanyahu’s Bid to Retain Power - Algemeiner
Nearly a week after Israel’s parliamentary election, opposition parties are moving to consolidate their forces and challenge Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s hold on power, with Yisrael Beytenu leader Avigdor Lieberman pledging his support for leading candidate Gadi Eisenkot — bringing all Jewish-led opposition parties behind a single candidate for prime minister.
Last week’s final count gave the six parties seeking to replace Netanyahu — Eisenkot’s Yashar, Naftali Bennett’s B’Yachad, The Democrats, Lieberman’s Yisrael Beytenu, the Arab-led Joint List and Ra’am — a combined 67 seats in the 120-member Knesset, with Jewish-led parties holding 48 seats and Arab-led factions accounting for the remaining 19.
Even though Netanyahu’s right-wing Likud party finished ahead of its rivals with 53 seats, it fell short of the support needed to form a government, leaving neither major bloc with the 61-seat majority required to govern and setting the stage for potentially weeks of political maneuvering. 4. Bennett, Golan pledge to back Eisenkot for PM, as bloc mulls which coalition to seek - Times of Israel
Parties in the bloc seeking to replace Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continued their jockeying for position on Sunday, ahead of high-stakes coalition negotiations in which the group of parties will have to choose between partnering with Arab-led parties, Haredi parties or Netanyahu’s party, options that would all involve breaking electoral promises.
Yashar party chief Gadi Eisenkot took a major step in consolidating his control of the bloc, after the heads of the B’Yachad party, Naftali Bennett, and reportedly of The Democrats party, Yair Golan, pledged to recommend that Eisenkot be tasked with forming the next government when they meet with President Isaac Herzog. Herzog has said “we must do everything we can… to avoid another round of elections,” implying support if necessary for a unity government with the anti- and pro-Netanyahu blocs.
A statement from B’Yachad said that Bennett “made it clear throughout the election campaign that he would respect the decision of the voter, and that’s what he is doing.” (Read more)

The United States military has deployed air defense systems near President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, as part of heightened security measures aimed at protecting the president from potential aerial threats.
According to NBC News, the deployment includes Avenger air defense systems equipped with Stinger missiles, designed to intercept low-flying aircraft, helicopters, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Some of the systems have been positioned on a barge near the waterfront estate, while others have reportedly been deployed in the vicinity of a nearby airport, expanding the protective air defense perimeter around the presidential residence.
The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) confirmed that the systems were deployed at the request of the US Secret Service, which is responsible for protecting the president and his family. (Read more)

2. Vance offers to meet with former IRGC commander Rezaei as Pentagon preps new attack - Jerusalem Post
The White House believes Mohsen Rezaei, one of the Iranian regime’s staunchest hardliners, could be the key to an agreement that would prevent renewed war between the US and Iran, Washington Post columnist David Ignatius reported Thursday evening.
Ignatius, a veteran Washington journalist who covers foreign affairs and national security, cited conversations with a US official familiar with the negotiations, providing new details about the Trump administration’s latest effort to reach an agreement with Tehran.
Previous reports revealed that Vice President JD Vance sent a personal letter last week to Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council and a former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. In the letter, Vance expressed willingness to meet with him personally to discuss ending the war through negotiations. (Read more)

3. A 'code red' for cybersecurity? How to prepare for a possible wave of AI hacking - ABC News
Jason Clinton, Anthropic's deputy chief information security officer, recently posted an ominous warning on X after several serious cybersecurity vulnerabilities were made public.
He wrote, "as bad as things have gotten in the past 4 days, they are going to get a lot worse before they get better. security leaders, never let a crisis go to waste: please go to your boards and ask for help right now. not for ai, for the basics. (we need to hold on for ~18 months.)”
Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff responded, "Jason is 100% right. Code red." Clinton has been sounding this alarm for some time. In August, he posted, "The vulnerability tsunami is coming in just a few months and there won't be enough time to patch critical infrastructure.”
The warnings arrive amid a run of cybersecurity threats. On Oct. 21, two newly disclosed vulnerabilities impacting as much as 70% of the internet sent companies and individuals scrambling to apply the fix.
The next day, Quest Diagnostics, one of the largest providers of medical lab services, reported "unauthorized access" to its Quanum Lab Services Manager and said "certain patient records" were accessed.
Data breaches are as old as the internet. What worries experts now is how AI could become an unprecedented hacking tool. (Read more)

5. Pope Leo makes history by voting in US midterms - CNN
Pope Leo XIV has submitted a mail-in ballot for the US midterms, becoming the first pope to vote in a US election and likely the first to vote in a secular democratic election.
The first American pope “has submitted his mail-in ballot in Chicago,” the Vatican said in a statement Friday. “The Holy Father expresses his belief in the right and the duty of citizens to participate in democratic processes,” the statement said.
Michael Walsh, a British historian and author who has written several books on the papacy, said Leo XIV would be the first pope to vote in a democratic, secular election.
“I don’t think popes have ever voted in a democratic election before,” he told CNN. (Read more)

6. Morocco opens first publicly funded museum dedicated to Jewish culture in Arab Muslim country - JNS.org
The Museum of Moroccan Jewish Culture opened earlier this month in the North African country, marking the first time an Arab Muslim country has allocated public funds to establish a museum dedicated to Jewish culture.
The move comes amid growing ties between the two nations, and a recent agreement to upgrade diplomatic relations, including opening embassies and appointing ambassadors.
The museum in the northeastern Moroccan city of Fez, which opened its doors on Oct. 12, is located in the ancient Jewish quarter or Mellah, 100 meters from the Museum of Islamic Arts, in a move meant to highlight the country’s history of coexistence between Jews and Muslims.
The 1,700-square-meter (18,300 square-foot) site, donated by the local Jewish community, covers 2,500 years of Moroccan Jewish history.
“The museum highlights the deep historical connections between Morocco’s Jewish and Muslim communities,” Serge Berdugo, president of the council of Moroccan Jewish Communities, told JNS on Thursday. “It represents an important step in preserving and transmitting Moroccan Jewish heritage to future generations.” (Read more)

The Polls Have Spoken, Now the Voters Decide
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, November 3, 2026
For nearly a month, The Daily Jot has tracked political polling with a simple objective: Watch the trend rather than chase the headlines. With Election Day upon us, the final numbers tell an interesting story. Our late-September baseline showed Democrats leading Republicans by 8.7 percentage points in the RealClearPolling congressional generic ballot average. The latest available average stands at 51.5%-43.1%, an 8.4-point Democratic advantage. After four weeks of surveys, political arguments, and media speculation, the overall movement amounts to just three-tenths of a percentage point. Individual polls have fluctuated considerably, but the national average has remained remarkably consistent. Your vote will count.
The individual pollsters provide additional perspective. Rasmussen's latest published survey shows Democrats ahead by five points, compared with eight in mid-September. Reuters/Ipsos has moved from an eight-point Democratic advantage in September to nine points in its final October survey, after reaching 12 points the previous week. Economist/YouGov narrowed from 15 points in late September to nine points in its latest survey. Morning Consult remains steady at seven points. Emerson's final national poll has Democrats ahead by ten, while NPR/PBS/Marist shows an eight-point advantage. The numbers vary, reflecting different methodologies and voter samples, but the common thread is a persistent Democratic lead in congressional voting preferences.
Two measurements deserve particular attention: voter enthusiasm and independent voters. Emerson reports 76% of Democrats are very excited to vote, compared with 64% of Republicans, the same 12-point enthusiasm gap measured in September. Our original tracking also found independents favoring Democrats 60%-31% in Emerson and 57%-32% in Marist. More than 51 million Americans have already cast ballots, exceeding the entire early vote in 2022. North Carolina's early-ballot Democratic registration advantage has reportedly expanded from 6.8 to 13.7 percentage points, while Republican-leaning West Virginia reports early turnout approximately 30% above its comparable 2022 pace. These figures suggest substantial voter engagement, although early ballots reveal neither final turnout nor election outcomes.
House Speaker Mike Johnson has argued that pollsters are undercounting Republicans. Pew Research Center has documented such partisan nonresponse bias, giving credibility to that claim. Local sources in Jefferson County, WV, also report unusually heavy early voting in this Republican-leaning area. Yet heavy participation alone tells us little about how those votes were cast. After a month of tracking, the national Democratic polling advantage has remained essentially unchanged. The outcome will depend on actual turnout. The election also raises a broader question about citizens acting on their convictions. James 4:17 says, "Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin." We've watched the movement and the trend. Now the voters will render their verdict. Get out to vote, your country is at stake.

Connecticut Dem Sen Chris Murphy hospitalized Saturday for stroke
|
|
|
|
Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., was hospitalized after experiencing a stroke, his chief of staff Allison Herwitt said in a statement released Sunday.
Murphy, who is not running in the midterms but has been stumping for Democrats, began feeling numbness in his arm Saturday afternoon while at his son’s hockey game and was taken to a local hospital before being transferred to Johns Hopkins for further monitoring, according to Allison Herwitt.
"He was taken to a local hospital, where it was discovered he had experienced a stroke. He was transferred to Johns Hopkins for further monitoring and is responding well to treatment," she said in a statement.
"The doctors are encouraged by his progress, he is awake and alert, and we are optimistic he will make a full recovery."
Murphy was first elected to the Senate in 2013 and has been viewed as a potential 2028 Democratic presidential primary candidate.
He has spent the past several weeks on the campaign trail with Democrats as he stumped to help retake control of the Senate majority in the midterm elections. He had been scheduled to campaign for Democrats in New Hampshire on Sunday.
Murphy is 53 years old, born August 3, 1973. (Fox News) Read more here.

Father God,
Your Word teaches us to pray for all in authority and although we do not agree with the Democratic Senator, Chris Murphy, we come before Your throne and pray for his full recovery because You love him.
We thank You, Lord, that he is responding well to treatment from the stroke at John Hopkins University Hospital. It is our prayer that if Senator Murphy does not know You, that he will consider his ways and during his time of healing and quiet rest, he will see Your truth. Thank You, Lord, for sparing his life.
In Jesus' name, we offer this prayer, amen and amen!
"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9)

Sen. Tim Scott: 'Unequivocally Yes,' GOP Will Hold the Majority in the Senate
|
|
|
|
Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) said he’s confident that the Republican Party will maintain its majority in the U.S. Senate following the upcoming elections.
Host Kristen Welker said, “Senator, in August you said you were very confident Republicans were going to hold control of the Senate. So how do you feel now with 48 hours to go, will Republicans hold on to control of the Senate?”
Scott said, “The answer is absolutely, positivity, unequivocally, yes, we will hold the majority in the Senate. We are in a great position to do so. We also have been gifted the most radical, dangerous, weird group of Senate candidates that we’ve seen on the Democratic side, frankly, in my lifetime. You think about Troy Jackson in Maine, he said he would have run as a communist. James Talarico in Texas said that God is non- binary, he believes in six genders, but most importantly he said white supremacy and capitalism are the same. Go to Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan, here’s a guy who cozies up to terrorism. Both of his parents either supported or helped fund Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein. We are looking at incredibly radical candidates. I bring it home to South Carolina where the Democratic candidate Annie Andrews is with the pro-defund the police squad. She said let’s limit the Second Amendment, men should play women in sports. The Democrats, radical, dangerous, weird.” (Breitbart) Read more here.

Holy Father,
We stand in agreement with Senator Tim Scott that the Republican party will hold control in the U. S. Senate because according to Your word, we can decree a thing and it will be established. Lord, we pray that people will go to the polls and vote against the Socialist agenda in the Senate of the Democrat party.
Lord, let Your Spirit hover over the polls and let the Spirit of Truth overtake wicked mindsets so that people will vote righteously. Lord, we pray for Your mercy in this election and we pray righteousness will reign once again in America. We beseech You, Father, and ask You to let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end. In Your Holy name, we pray. Amen and Amen.
"Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee; and the light shall shine upon thy ways." (Job 22:28)

An Austrian Airlines flight departing from Tel Aviv, Israel, made an emergency landing in Bulgaria on Sunday after reportedly receiving a bomb threat that officials later clarified did not result in the discovery of any actual explosive.
The alarming incident follows a series of similar airline emergencies in the Middle East, most prominently the thwarted terrorist attack on a Flydubai flight traveling to Tel Aviv in September and this month’s bombing of a gate in Saudi Arabia’s King Khalid International Airport, as well as several similar bomb threats.
The affected plane was reportedly Austrian Airlines Flight OS82, making its way from Tel Aviv to Vienna, Austria. The plane reportedly made an emergency call and requested an abrupt landing in Sofia, Bulgaria, where passengers were safely removed and the plane inspected. Passengers ultimately made it to Vienna on another flight without incident.
The flight was reportedly carrying 57 people, 51 passengers and six crew members. The Times of Israel reported that the flight was carrying “a delegation of young people who were due to speak at the United Nations,” potentially making it a political target.
“We confirm that there was a threat against flight OS82 on October 18, 2026, from Tel Aviv to Vienna, which made it necessary for the flight to make an intermediate landing in Sofia,” Austrian Airlines confirmed on Monday. “During the search of the affected aircraft, the passengers, and the crew, no danger was identified.” (Breitbart) Read more here.

Holy One,
This confirmation of the bomb threat against the flight from Tel Aviv to Vienna gives us witness in the spirit of how evil the days are that we are living in. Lord, quicken our spirits, to be on alert for anything suspicious as we travel on any means of transportation as we face these chaotic times that we live in.
We repent, too, Holy One, that once again, another airplane loaded with Jewish passengers has apparently been targeted for disaster. We praise You, O Lord, that this threat has proven to be a false alarm, but as watchmen on your wall, we remain
vigilant on behalf of the safety of all Israeli passengers who are aboard these huge airliners.
Lord, we pray for supernatural vision and hearing for each of us in these days before Your coming so that we and our families may travel safely. Father, in Your Mighty name, we come against the spirit of violence and hatred that would seek to harm others by any means. Thank You, Lord, that You have equipped us with weapons of warfare in combating the roots of wickedness. It is written that "God will rescue us from our fears and troubles, and free us from the traps set by the enemy." In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
"The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds." (2 Corinthians 10:4)

When Democrats Put Christ On The Ballot, Which Christ Are They Preaching?
|
|
Pastoral titles and Bible verses can make a political campaign sound like a Christian witness. But a candidate's use of Jesus' name does not tell voters whether he is faithful to Jesus' teaching. That question has to be answered by examining the whole message: what a candidate affirms, what he rejects, and what he leaves out.
That is the challenge facing Christian voters as Democrats James Talarico in Texas and Adam Hamilton in Kansas place their faith near the center of their campaigns. Talarico invokes Scripture against Christian nationalism and calls for "flipping tables." Hamilton presents himself as a pastor and bridge-builder. Both are seeking to reach voters who may be wary of Republicans or dissatisfied with the candidates on the other side.
There is nothing wrong with a Christian running for office, and no political party owns the name of Christ. Christians should scrutinize conservative candidates who use religious language while acting against biblical principles, too. But a campaign does not become Christian simply because its candidate quotes Scripture, serves as a pastor, or speaks about protecting the vulnerable.
When Scripture Is Made to Say the Opposite
Talarico's religious language raises more than a question about political style. In a Texas House prayer, he described God as "nonbinary," drawing on the biblical statement that humanity was created male and female in God's image. But Genesis is describing human beings as male and female; it is not presenting God as a nonbinary being. The passage does not support turning God into a reflection of today's gender politics.

"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."
