Federal Appeals Court Upholds Ten Commandments Displays in Public Schools
|
|
A federal court has upheld a Texas law requiring public schools across the state to display the Ten Commandments.
The 9-to-8 decision came from the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, reversing a 2025 ruling that had said the law failed to demonstrate a tradition of posting the Commandments.
The American Civil Liberties Union and other groups argued that the law violates the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment, which prohibits the federal government from creating a state religion.
But the court ruled that the requirement does not violate the rights of parents or students because “no child is made to recite the Commandments, believe them, or affirm their divine origin." The law only requires public schools and open-enrollment charter schools to display a "conspicuous" copy of the Ten Commandments. The poster can't include any text other than the Commandments.
The bill, known as SB10, was sponsored by State Sen. Phil King (R-Weatherford), who said the U.S. Supreme Court has established in recent rulings like Kennedy v. Bremerton School District, that religious displays are not banned from schools. (CBN) Read More Here

Father God, we REJOICE over court victory allowing the Ten Commandments to be displayed at public schools throughout Texas! We ask for hearts and minds of students to be transformed and blessed by the display of God's Word. We lift ALL GLORY to You Abba for this victorious ruling and decree and declare other states will follow, to establish the powerful display of the Ten Commandments, within their own school districts! In the mighty Name of Jesus Christ we pray- Amen.

Democrats Openly Cheer on Iran in Stunning Display of Anti-Americanism
|
|
|
While the rest of the world is glued to the deadline President Trump set for Iran's cooperation, there's still no sign of a truce back home. In one of the most disturbing subplots of the war, Democrats aren't just undermining our troops, they're rooting against them in a sick display of political opportunism. That anti-Americanism took an especially nasty turn on Monday when a sitting U.S. senator, Connecticut's Chris Murphy (D), celebrated our latest setback in the Strait of Hormuz. "Awesome," he responded to a report that 26 of the regime's ships had evaded the U.S. blockade.
Shock and outrage didn’t begin to describe people’s reactions. “It takes an insane level of Trump Derangement Syndrome to cheer for a terrorist regime that chants ‘Death to America,’” White House Spokesperson Olivia Wales shook her head. “Chris Murphy is an America-last, radical left lunatic who stands for illegal aliens and Iranian terrorists over the American people. The only thing ‘awesome’ will be when he is out of office,” she told Fox.
“Was Sen. Murphy’s account hacked?” the Washington Examiner’s Byron York wondered, trying to understand how even the president’s fiercest political rivals could justify such a disgusting comment. “I love when Iran wins, it’s awesome…’ – a UNITED STATES SENATOR ???????????!!!!!!!!!” Matt Van Swol, a former Department of Energy employee, responded.
Desperate to do damage control, Murphy’s office tried to shrug off the tweet as “sarcasm.” But the reality is much more sinister, Article III Project Founder Mike Davis insisted. “This U.S. senator is publicly cheering for America’s enemy during war. The Senate should vote to censure him,” he argued. And not just because he’s a traitor, some would point out, but because what he’s siding with is a regime that’s spent the last 47 years massacring its own people (including tens of thousands this year) and countless U.S. soldiers.
Unfortunately, Murphy’s reckless messaging is part of a broader crisis in the Democratic Party, whose allegiance in these hyper-partisan times is no longer to America or our national interest but to winning at all costs. This war, regardless of whether the public would have chosen it or not, has already made the world a safer place. “We’ve never taken on a country of 93 million people that had the most fearsome, terrible reputation of being dangerous and unpredictable, and running the Middle East with a ring of fire proxies in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Gaza, Lebanon,” The Daily Signal’s Victor Davis Hanson emphasized. “They had terrified seven presidents. And yet in five weeks, we destroyed its ability to make war.” Including nuclear war. (Washington Stand) Read more here.

Abba, the Trump Derangement Syndrome has spiraled out of control in our nation. We ask You to step into these circumstances and bring conviction to the hearts of all who have fallen under the enemies control, whose hearts are so full of hatred they can no longer think rationally.
Father God, we ask You to raise up a loud cry against all who now root for our enemies to win, whose hearts have turned to stone against their own nation. Jesus, speak to them, remind them who is actually in control, show them the pride and arrogance that drives their behavior, let Your displeasure become known to them, give them the humility to come to You for forgiveness. We ask this in the name El Roi, The God Who Sees everything.
"Woe to those who go to great depths to hide their
plans from the Lord, who do their work in
darkness and think, "Who sees us? Who will know?"

Iran Seizes Ships in Strait after Trump Halts Attacks
|
|
|
WASHINGTON/DUBAI, (Reuters) - Iran seized two ships in the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday, tightening its grip on the strategic waterway after President Donald Trump called off attacks indefinitely with no sign of peace talks restarting.
Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency said the Revolutionary Guards had seized two vessels for maritime violations and escorted them to Iranian shores. It was the first time Iran has seized ships since the beginning of the war.
Earlier, a British maritime security agency reported three ships had come under fire.
Trump said in a statement on social media late on Tuesday that the U.S. had agreed to a request by Pakistani mediators "to hold our Attack on the Country of Iran until such time as their leaders and representatives can come up with a unified proposal ... and discussions are concluded, one way or the other."
But even as he announced what appeared to be a unilateral ceasefire extension, Trump also said he would continue the U.S. Navy's blockade of Iran's trade by sea. The United States fired on and seized an Iranian cargo vessel on Saturday and boarded a huge Iranian oil tanker on Tuesday in the Indian Ocean.
Iran considers the U.S. blockade an act of war and has said it will not lift its closure of the strait, which has caused a global energy crisis, as long as the U.S. blockade continues. (Washington Stand/Reuters) Read more here.

Abba, there is much information and confusion coming from actions being taken in the Strait of Hormuz, there is just so much going on it's hard to know exactly where to start our prayers. You are not the author of confusion so we just rebuke that spirit in the name of Jesus, we command you to be silent. Father God, we ask You to send out Holy Spirit and His angels, pour out the Fear of the Lord into the hearts of all Iranian leadership, let Your words spoken through Your son, Donald, become the truth of Your intentions for Iran, let them bring fear of consequences that will surely come. We ask this in the name Jehovah Sabaoth, The Lord of Hosts, the God of power and authority that shows He is able to accomplish what He determines to do.
"He was given authority, glory and sovereign power;
all nations and peoples of every language
worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting
dominion that will not pass away, and
his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed."

Texas Can Require Ten Commandments in Classrooms, U.S. Appeals Court Rules
|
|
|
WASHINGTON, (Reuters) - A U.S. federal appeals court ruled on Tuesday that Texas can require public schools to display the biblical Ten Commandments in every classroom, reversing a lower court judge who had blocked the law and marking a setback for parents who accused the Republican-led state of trampling their rights under the U.S. Constitution.
The New Orleans-based U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit voted 9-7 to uphold Texas Senate Bill 10, which was enacted last year and requires a poster of the Ten Commandments to be displayed in a visible spot in every public elementary and secondary school classroom in the state.
The majority’s ruling, written by Circuit Judge Stuart Kyle Duncan and joined by Chief Judge Jennifer Walker Elrod and seven other judges, said the law does not violate the U.S. Constitution's prohibition on government establishment of religion or its protection of the free exercise of religion.
The Texas law “does not tell churches or synagogues or mosques what to believe or how to worship or whom to employ as priests, rabbis, or imams,” Duncan wrote. “It punishes no one who rejects the Ten Commandments, no matter the reason.”

|
Challengers Plan Supreme Court Appeal
In a statement, a lead attorney for the challengers of the Texas law said they were disappointed by the ruling.
"The court’s ruling goes against fundamental First Amendment principles and binding U.S. Supreme Court authority," Jon Youngwood said. "The First Amendment safeguards the separation of church and state, and the freedom of families to choose how, when and if to provide their children with religious instruction."
Youngwood said the plaintiffs "anticipate asking the Supreme Court to reverse this decision and uphold the religious-freedom rights of children and parents."

Father God, we ask You to continue protecting Your Commandments from the ploys of the enemy, allow Your words of life to become the support Your kids need as they walk through growing up. Open doors that they need You to open and close doors they need You to close, keep them safe from the enemy and from themselves. We ask this in the name Jehovah Rohi, The Lord Our Shepherd.
"You, Lord, will keep the needy safe and
will protect us forever from the wicked."

The SPLC Was Paying the Ku Klux Klan, DOJ Indictment Claims
|
|
|
The Southern Poverty Law Center has raised money for decades claiming to dismantle white supremacy, but it funneled millions of dollars to white nationalist groups, including the Ku Klux Klan, according to a federal indictment handed down Tuesday.
The SPLC claims it was funding informants inside the extremist groups.
While the SPLC “purports to fight white supremacy and racial hatred,” acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a press conference that “the SPLC was not dismantling these groups. It was instead manufacturing the extremism it purports to oppose.”
Blanche highlighted one example from the indictment, where the SPLC paid a member of the leadership group that planned the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017.
“The Southern Poverty Law Center themselves advertise to raise money to dismantle violent extremist groups … however, the SPLC used the money they raised from their donor network to actually pay the leadership of these very groups,” FBI Director Kash Patel explained at the press conference.
The indictment charges the SPLC with six counts of wire fraud, aiming to “obtain money via donations through materially false representations and omissions about what the donated funds would be used for.” It charges the SPLC with four counts of false statements to a federally insured bank by creating accounts for fictitious entities to funnel the money. Finally, it charges the SPLC with one count of conspiracy to commit concealment of money laundering. (Daily Wire) Read more here.

Abba, thank You that the truth surrounding the Southern Poverty Law Center, is finally coming out. We thank You for making it impossible for them to lie about the role they have played trying to bring down conservative groups across the country. Father God, bring out into the open all that was done in darkness, in the SPLC's actions in spending the money they raised. We ask for Your justice to be done in the lives of all people and groups who have been harassed and financially burdened by having to defend themselves against the SPLC hatred and lies. Jesus, give them awareness of how You see what they have done to so many, bring them to their knees before You in repentance. We ask this in the name El Shaddai, God Almighty, the God who has ultimate power over all things.
"The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power;
in his justice and great righteousness, he does not oppress."

1. Lebanon said to seek one-month truce extension; Hezbollah again targets troops with drone - Times of Israel
Lebanon was hoping to extend the shaky ceasefire between Hezbollah and Israel as its representatives were set to meet with Israeli envoys on Thursday for the second time in two weeks in Washington, DC, while Israeli officials projected optimism about the talks.
The historic negotiations, brokered by the US, are the first sustained direct talks between Israel and its neighbor to the north in decades. They come amid a ceasefire between Israel and the Iran-backed Hezbollah terror group that is set to expire Sunday.
The truce, which began last week, has seen repeated clashes between Israel and Hezbollah, including on Wednesday, Israel’s Independence Day. (Read more)

2. Israel cannot settle for another ceasefire with Lebanon, Alma Center head says - interview - Jerusalem Post
Israeli officials are still debating what comes next in southern Lebanon, including whether to pursue a more permanent ceasefire. For Sarit Zehavi, founder and president of the Alma Research and Education Center, the real question is not the pause itself but whether it produces a lasting change in the security reality along Israel’s northern border.
Zehavi said the current debate cannot be understood without revisiting what she sees as the central failure of the past two decades. “Between May 2000 and until actually the end of the previous war in 2023, there was no Israeli presence in Lebanon and there was no buffer zone in Lebanon,” she told The Media Line. The area south of the Litani River, she noted, was supposed to be free of “any illegitimate weapon,” but “it never happened, and nobody enforced that.”
In her account, the problem did not begin with the current campaign. After Israel’s maneuver in 2024, the army remained on only five hills overlooking Israeli communities, a posture she said quickly proved inadequate. Hezbollah’s Radwan forces were still able to maneuver near the border, she said, while rockets could be launched from both north and south of the Litani. (Read more)

3. IDF using robots to destroy Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon
- World Israel News
The IDF said it is deploying robotic systems in combat operations against Hezbollah in Bint Jbail, Lebanon, as it works to dismantle militant infrastructure and reduce risks to troops.
According to the military, the use of robotics is aimed at increasing operational efficiency while minimizing casualties as forces operate in southern Lebanon.
Ground robots have been used during maneuvers in the area, as well as in the Gaza Strip, alongside unmanned aerial vehicles.
The systems are being used for tasks such as detonating booby-trapped structures and scanning hazardous zones, allowing forces to neutralize threats without exposing soldiers to danger. (Read more)

4. Approximately 40 Israelis attempted to sneak over border into Syria, IDF confirms - Jerusalem Post
Approximately 40 Israeli civilians gathered in the Golan Heights and attempted to sneak over the Syrian border, the IDF confirmed on Wednesday.
The civilians succeeded in traveling several hundred meters into Syria before being apprehended by the military. The IDF then returned the civilians to Israel and transferred them to the Israel Police for questioning.
The Israel Police also issued a statement on the incident, noting that crossing the border fence is both “prohibited and dangerous.”
“Crossing the border into Syria or Lebanon is a serious criminal offense punishable by up to four years in prison,” the police said. (Read more)

1. Appeals court blocks California law requiring ICE show visible ID - The Hill
A federal appeals court has halted a California law that requires visible identification for law enforcement, including immigration agents, agreeing with the Trump administration on Wednesday that the mandate is likely unconstitutional. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit had put the law briefly on hold until it could take a closer look. The new ruling keeps enforcement paused until the court fully resolves the case, which may take months.
The Justice Department sued California and Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) after he signed the No Vigilantes Act, which demands that non-uniformed law enforcement operating in California “shall visibly display identification.”
It followed the Trump administration’s ramp-up last summer of immigration enforcement in the Los Angeles area. It has spilled over to the courts, where Trump’s Justice Department and the state have been embroiled in litigation on various aspects of the president’s immigration crackdown. (Read more)
We pray Lord that the corruption and fraud that has been done within our immigration system will continue to be revealed and brought to the light. We pray justice would be done swiftly and that all that has been lost would be restored. We break all stealing, killing, and destroying in our country and immigration system in Jesus' name. Amen.
“Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.”

2. Leftist group claims migrants pay more taxes than average Americans - DML News
The average immigrant pays more in taxes than the average paid by U.S. children, disabled people, retirees, students, and employees, says a cherry-picked report from the Cato Institute.
The cherry-picked report is intended to insert a headline into the minds of busy politicians and lazy reporters who are facing competing pressures from pro-migration corporate lobbyists and from pro-prosperity Americans.
The April 15 Cato report is headlined: “Immigrants Pay More In Taxes Than the Average Person.”
But the key trick in the Cato report is to quietly transfer many migration costs onto Americans. For example, the report celebrates the value of taxes paid by working migrants — but then quietly forces Americans to pay the costs of the migrants’ children, such as welfare and school costs. 3. Four high school students in Florida arrested after fight on campus, guns found in backpacks - DML News
Sheriff deputies had to be called to a high school in Florida on Friday, and again on Monday, in what appears to be alarming, related incidents.
A group of teen boys reportedly got into a fight on Friday at Plant City High school, around 1:40 p.m. After school officials broke up the fight, they discovered that two of the boys involved in the fight had given their backpacks to two other boys, who attempted to hide them. A search revealed a gun in each backpack, and one gun was loaded.
The four teens were all arrested by deputies of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. On Monday, the sheriff’s department said they were called to the school again – this time for a bomb threat. The school had to be completely evacuated and a search was conducted, but no bomb was found. Plant City, Florida is a town just east of Tampa. (Read more)

Stupidocrisy: When the Fourth Estate Picks a Side
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, April 22, 2026
In times of war, clarity matters. Americans expect the press, often called the Fourth Estate, to report facts cleanly and let citizens draw conclusions. Instead, what we increasingly see from major outlets like CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times, and BBC is a pattern of coverage that critics argue crosses from reporting into narrative shaping, even gaslighting. The concern is not that these outlets cover war, but how they frame it. When tone softens toward adversarial regimes, when American policy is second-guessed in real time, and when political undertones seep into what they claim is straight reporting, it raises a serious question. Are we getting news, or are we getting filtered opinion dressed up as journalism?
Take the issue of soft framing. A widely criticized CNN segment from Tehran described the city as calm and orderly during a time of heightened tensions, drawing sharp rebukes from US officials who said it resembled regime-friendly messaging rather than balanced reporting. The New York Post documented these concerns, noting accusations that such reporting downplayed the seriousness of the Iranian regime’s actions. Meanwhile, BBC coverage has been scrutinized for language choices that critics say blur moral distinctions between aggressors and defenders. These are not isolated complaints. They reflect a broader frustration that tone and word choice can subtly shift perception, even when the underlying facts are technically accurate. Read More

Memorial Day and Independence Day in Israel
|
|
|
> > > This week, Tuesday is Memorial Day in Israel. Immediately following is Independence Day. The sharp transition from tragedy to victory is shocking. It is hard to describe the depth of emotional experience for our people in these two days. It feels like a roller-coaster ride.
Memorial Day embraces the death of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the land and people of Israel in the face of such murderous and monstrous hatred. Most of them were young people in their 20's. Corporate grief rips the core of the nation's psyche.
To me there is a deep connection between the sacrifice of their lives and the crucifixion of Yeshua (Jesus). For Christians, the meaning of life is transformed to understand that Yeshua gave his soul for us, to save us and give us eternal life. For Israelis, the depth of significance of Memorial Day and Independence Day is parallel to the death and resurrection of Yeshua for Christians.
Yeshua was killed under the banner of "King of the Jews." The hatred of the Jews is parallel to the hatred of the King of the Jews. It is unfathomable satanic evil.
And then immediately comes the resurrection. Life out of death. On Independence Day, it is becoming popular to read portions from Ezekiel 37 portraying the restoration of the people of Israel as a fulfillment of prophecy, a divine resurrection, the promise of continuing life.
The death and resurrection of Yeshua permeates everything: the stars, the agriculture, the human body, the life of all Christians, and also the exile and restoration of Israel. Many events in Jewish culture take place during the seven weeks from Passover to Pentecost: the seder, the omer, Holocaust remembrance, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Lag b'omer, Jerusalem Day, and the giving of the Torah at Mt. Sinai on Shavuot.
In God's sovereignty, the destinies of Israel and the Church are being "grafted in" to one another. (Romans 11:17-24) Yeshua is savior of the world, head of the Church, and king of the Jews. Let us keep interceding for the "fullness of the Gentiles" and the "salvation of Israel" in our generation. (Romans 11:25-26) Read more here

|
|
First Lady Melania Trump held a summit at the White House as part of her Fostering the Future initiative that included a group of international first spouses. The conference was focused on empowering children across the globe through education and technology. Some of the discussions surrounded the use of artificial intelligence (AI)
Days before the summit, Mrs. Trump met with members of Congress to encourage legislative action on the executive order signed by President Trump to advance improvements in the U.S. foster care system. The order seeks to reform the system by “improving technology, increasing caregiver recruitment, and enhancing support for youth aging out of care.”
The first lady said during a roundtable discussion with members of the House Ways and Means Committee, “We are gathered here today, not because America’s children rely on us, but rather because America’s children are our moral equals. In safeguarding our children’s wellbeing, we shape the integrity of our nation… new legislation for the foster care community is a moral imperative.” (Presidential Prayer Team) Read more here.

Supreme Court liberals side with Clarence Thomas on Taliban suicide bomber lawsuit, 3 others dissent
|
|
|
|
Justice Clarence Thomas' opinion was joined by two fellow conservative justices and the three liberal justices
|
|
|
In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court on Wednesday allowed a lawsuit brought by a U.S. Army veteran injured in a Taliban suicide bombing to proceed, vacating a lower court ruling that had dismissed it.
Winston Tyler Hencely, a former U.S. Army specialist, suffered a fractured skull and brain injuries when a Taliban operative working for the military contractor Fluor Corporation blew up a suicide vest at Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan in 2016.
The U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina made a summary judgment for Fluor, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit affirmed, the opinion notes.
The majority opinion, written by Justice Clarence Thomas, rejected a broad "battlefield preemption" theory that would have blocked state-law claims tied to combat activities. Thomas — joined by Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett and Ketanji Brown Jackson — wrote that military contractors are not automatically shielded from liability when their conduct was not authorized by the military — even in war zones.
"In an effort to recover damages for his injuries, Hencely sued Fluor, bringing state-law tort claims for negligently retaining and supervising the attacker. According to Hencely and the United States military, Fluor’s conduct was not authorized by the military and even violated instructions the military had given it as a condition of operating on the base," the opinion notes.
Justice Samuel Alito, Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh dissented. (Fox News) Read more here.

Abba, the decisions that have been made in this SCOTUS case seem obvious and good, but there seems to be some deeper issues of law within it. We thank You that Winston Hencely has been given the chance for his day in court to recover medical expenses and payment for his life being changed, and not in a good way. We ask Father God to go before Mr. Hencely as his case moves forward in the courts, we ask for Your perfect will to be done in his life, that he can once again find some form of "normal" when all has been decided. Jesus, we ask for total and complete healing for Mr. Hencely, may all neurological issues be wiped out as Your power touches his body, we ask for restoration of all things damaged or destroyed in his brain, body, heart, emotions and spirit. Revolutionary War artifacts unearthed at site of infamous colonial American heist: 'Very surprised'
|
|
|
In this year of America's 250th anniversary, archaeologists and college students recently discovered artifacts dating back to the American Revolution — including one infamous 18th-century robbery.
The dig took place in Newtown, Pennsylvania, some 30 miles northeast of Philadelphia, as local outlet WFMZ reported. Students from Bucks County Community College worked alongside employees from the Mercer Museum during the excavation.
Though it seems an unassuming plot of land in suburban Pennsylvania, the site was once home to colonial-era town buildings, including the county prison and courthouse.
The excavation, which took place from March 23 to March 28, focused on the area where the treasury building once stood.
Images show archaeologists and volunteers working around the open excavation pit, as well as various small 18th-century artifacts that were uncovered, including coins.
The dig took place on land steeped in Revolutionary War history, according to Clint Flack, an exhibit specialist at Bucks County Historical Society.
Flack, who was involved in the excavation, told Fox News Digital the most significant finds included three British gunflints from the Revolutionary War era, which were used to spark gunpowder in muskets. (Fox News) Read More
