President Trump Marks Easter With Oval Office Message on Faith and Renewal

US President Donald Trump delivered an Easter message from the Oval Office in Washington on Saturday, using the occasion to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus while tying the holiday to what he described as a broader revival of faith in the United States. In remarks released during Holy Week, the US president spoke of Jesus’ humility and sacrifice, then turned to a familiar political theme: the role of religion in American public life.

President Trump opened with explicitly Christian language, calling Easter “the most glorious miracle in all of time” and praising “the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.” He also cited the Gospel of John, saying, “for God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, for whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life,” before adding, “Eternal life, such beautiful words.”

The message placed the resurrection at the center of Christian hope, with President Trump saying Easter reminds believers that “evil and wickedness will not prevail.” From there, he broadened the focus, arguing that the holiday also reflects what he called an “extraordinary resurrection of faith and religion in America.” He repeated a theme he has voiced often in public appearances, saying, “To be a great nation, you must have religion, and you must have God.”

The American president also made a broader cultural claim, saying church pews across the country would be “fuller, younger, and more faithful than they have at any time in many, many years” and asserting that religion is growing again in the US after decades of decline. Father, we rejoice over words spoken in celebration of Resurrection Sunday by President Trump. We lift praise to Jesus Christ, our life-giving Lord and Savior, who promises eternal life to all those who believe in Him. We are in agreement with our President's message, that a 'great nation must have religion and must have God'! We proclaim Jesus Christ reigns over the United States of America, and decree and declare our nation will forever stand as 'One Nation Under God'! By the powerful Blood of the Lamb, we pray- Amen.

"He prayed, 'O LORD, God of our ancestors, you alone are the God who is in heaven. You are ruler of all the kingdoms of the earth. You are powerful and mighty; no one can stand against you!" (2 Chronicles 20:6)

Trump Threatens to Target Iran’s Bridges, Power Plants on April 7 if Strait of Hormuz Not Reopened

U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to target Iran’s power plants and bridges on April 7 if the Strait of Hormuz is not reopened.

“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post on April 5.

Trump went on to say that if the Iranian regime does not open the strait, it will be “living in Hell.”

Hours later, he wrote in another post, “Tuesday, 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time!”

This led to speculation that this would be the deadline set for the regime.

The president previously warned that Iran’s infrastructure would be targeted if it did not open the Strait of Hormuz by April 6.

The Strait of Hormuz is a crucial passageway located just south of Iran used to transport one-fifth of the world’s oil and gas. A majority of the oil and gas that passed through the waterway went to Asia, while the United States and Europe were buying about 3 percent and 4 percent, respectively, of the crude moving through the strait.

Trump also told Fox News’s Trey Yingst that he is considering taking over the oil controlled by Iran if a deal is not made.

But there is a chance that tensions will not escalate, according to Yingst, who said Trump told the media outlet that he believed that Iran would make a deal with the United States by April 6. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

We pray for our president as he deals with Iran. We ask that you would give him wisdom and favor with their leaders as he makes deals with them, so that everything will work out in our favor. We continue to come against war and division in the Middle East, in Jesus' name, amen.

“Surely, LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.” (Psalms 5:12)

Airman rescue shows US can penetrate enemy territory 'anywhere' in Iran, former Pentagon official warns
Brent Sadler said the operation should underscore the seriousness of Trump's deadline for Tehran to negotiate

A former Pentagon official said the rescue of a U.S. airman in Iran served as more than a recovery mission, saying it was a warning to Tehran that the United States can penetrate anywhere in Iranian territory to carry out operations ranging from rescues to securing sensitive targets.

"This demonstrates to the Iranian leadership that we can get anywhere that we so choose and hold ground as long as we desire to accomplish a mission," Brent Sadler, a retired Navy captain, said on "Fox & Friends Weekend" Sunday.
"Not only can we rescue our pilots, but we can also go to where we need to secure nuclear equipment or the remainders of their leadership."

Sadler's comments come after the rescue of a U.S. Air Force weapons system officer (WSO) early Sunday morning local time after roughly 36 hours in hiding.

The pilot and WSO ejected from an F-15E fighter jet when it was downed over Iran on Friday. The pilot was rescued that morning. (Fox News) Read more here.

Thank you, Lord, for the successful mission of rescuing our pilots. We pray for them, that you would help them and encourage them. Lord, thank You for leaders who are prioritizing peace through strength. Please strengthen, protect, and bless the men and women signing up to serve our country in uniform. In Jesus’ name we offer this prayer, Amen.

“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” (Deut. 31:6)

Trump calls rescue of downed Air Force airman an 'Easter Miracle'
Trump praises the recovery of a U.S. airman from inside Iran as a historic rescue, calling it an 'Easter Miracle'

President Donald Trump hailed the rescue of a missing U.S. airman from a downed F-15E in Iran as an "Easter Miracle," after U.S. forces recovered the second crew member following a high-risk mission behind enemy lines.

"The rescue was an Easter Miracle. The enemy was large and violent. The rescuers were brilliant, strong, decisive, and as cool as anyone can be," Trump told NBC host Kristen Welker. "Such a rescue has never happened before in so violent an enemy territory. It is usually not done because it is considered not doable."

The rescue followed the downing of the F-15, which triggered a multi-day search operation inside Iran. U.S. forces had already recovered the first crew member before locating the second, who had been missing in mountainous terrain as large numbers of Iranian forces searched the area.

In a public statement announcing the successful recovery, Trump characterized the operation as one of the most daring in U.S. military history and provided an update on the airman’s condition.

"Over the past several hours, the United States Military pulled off one of the most daring Search and Rescue Operations in U.S. History. He is injured, but he will be just fine," Trump said. "We have rescued the seriously wounded, and really brave, F-15 Crew Member/Officer, from deep inside the mountains of Iran. The Iranian Military was looking hard, in big numbers, and getting close."

Trump also highlighted the operational risks involved, stressing that missions of this kind are rarely attempted due to the danger to both personnel and equipment. (Fox News) Read more here.

Thank you for your miracles, signs, and wonders, Lord. Thank you for this display of your glory and power on Resurrection Sunday. We are so thankful and grateful for everything you do for us and for your supernatural protection. Amen.

Four bodies found under rubble after Iranian missile strikes Haifa

Four bodies have been retrieved from under the rubble at the site of the Iranian ballistic missile impact in the northern Israeli city of Haifa, rescue services said on Monday afternoon.

Following overnight efforts with the Israel Defense Forces’ Home Front Command, “two trapped individuals who were found under the rubble without signs of life,” the Israel Fire and Rescue Authority said early on Monday.

“Rescue operations and attempts are still ongoing at this time in an effort to reach two additional trapped/unaccounted-for individuals,” the service added in its initial statement.

On Monday afternoon, the remains of the two additional missing persons were recovered, the Magen David Adom medical response group said, identifying the slain victims as a man and a woman in their 80s, a man in his 40s, and a woman in her mid-30s.

In central Israel, at least two people were wounded, including one seriously, on Monday morning by a cluster missile attack, medical officials said.

Israel Police Cmdr. Aviad Katfi, chief of the Petach Tikvah station, said forces were dispatched to five impact scenes across the city. The woman who sustained serious injuries, upon the missile warning being issued, “got out of her vehicle, followed the guidelines, laid down, and one of the fragments struck her,” the police chief told Israel’s Channel 12 News outlet.

In Tel Aviv, a man in his 30s was lightly wounded by glass shards, MDA said.

Later on Monday, an Iranian cluster missile attack caused extensive damage to at least 28 sites across central Israel, including in Ramat Gan, Bnei Brak and Givatayim. (JNS.org) Read more here.

In Jesus' name, we bind all further destruction, chaos, and violence against Israel. We pray protection over our country and Israel and their citizens and we pray, Lord, that you would give us wisdom and strength in all circumstances as we continue to fight this war against evil, together. Katz confirms IDF eliminated IRGC intelligence chief

The Israel Defense Forces killed Brig.-Gen. Majid Khademi, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ intelligence chief and one of the IRGC’s most senior operatives, Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed on Monday.

“The terrorist regime in Iran continues to launch missiles at the Israeli home front, killing and harming Israeli civilians,” Katz said during a situational assessment with senior military officials. “I was updated by the chief of staff that, overnight in Tehran, the IDF eliminated Majid Khadami, head of the IRGC intelligence organization—one of those directly responsible for these war crimes and one of the three most senior officials in the organization.

“The Revolutionary Guards fire at civilians, and we eliminate the terrorist leaders,” the minister said.

Over the weekend, the Israeli Air Force killed a senior IRGC commander responsible for managing the “commercial operations” of the terrorist organization’s oil revenues and bypassing international sanctions, the military said on Sunday.

Mohammad Reza Ashrafi Kahi, who was killed by an airstrike in Tehran on Friday, “managed the commercial operations of the Oil Headquarters, estimated at billions of dollars annually, and advanced the development of the IRGC’s military capabilities, as well as those of the Iranian terror regime’s proxies across the Middle East, foremost among them the Houthi terrorist regime, and the Hezbollah and Hamas terrorist organizations,” the IDF stated.

Oil revenues “fund the IRGC’s ballistic missile and UAV arrays, which are used to launch attacks toward the territory of the State of Israel and Gulf states, and to target oil infrastructure across the region,” according to the IDF. (JNS.org) Read more.

We pray Lord for wisdom and discernment for our President as he navigates the complexities of international relations with Iran. Lord God, help our leaders seek your face and your solutions to these tough issues. We pray that the leaders of Iran yield to peace and what’s best for their nation, in Jesus' name. And lastly we pray for unity among nations in pursuit of stability and justice. Amen.

“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you." (Isaiah 26:3)

1. Netanyahu to Trump: Do not rush into a ceasefire - Israel National News

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke by telephone with US President Donald Trump on Sunday and expressed deep concern over the possibility of a ceasefire agreement with Iran, Channel 12 News reported.

According to the report, Netanyahu highlighted to the President the risks involved in taking such steps toward the ayatollah regime.

The conversation, described as “warm and positive," opened with the Prime Minister congratulating Trump on the heroic operation to rescue the American F-15 crew member from Iranian territory. (Read more)

2. Israel knocks out 85% of the Islamic Republic’s petrochemical production - JNS

The IDF attacked the largest petrochemical facility in Iran, located in Asaluyeh, Defense Minister Israel Katz announced on Monday. With that operation and another last week, Iran’s two major petrochemical facilities, together accounting for 85% of the country’s total petrochemical exports, are out of action.

“The IDF has now aggressively attacked Iran’s largest petrochemical facility located in Asaluyeh—a major target responsible for about 50% of the country’s petrochemical production, after last week’s second major facility was attacked,” Katz said.

The two attacks constitute “a severe economic blow to the Iranian regime, amounting to tens of billions of dollars.”

“Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and I have instructed the IDF to continue to attack the national infrastructure of the Iranian terror regime with all its might,” Katz added. “The Iranian terror regime will discover that the continued aggression against Israel and the cowardly and criminal fire at Israeli citizens will lead to the deepening of the economic and strategic damage it is paying and the collapse of its capabilities.” (Read more)

3. Hezbollah rearming through deals with Damascus - Israel Hayom

Since the fall of Bashar Assad's regime in Syria, much has been written about the severing of Hezbollah's weapons corridor into Lebanon. The al-Sharaa government in Damascus has periodically announced operations against arms smuggling. Last month, for example, a tunnel was uncovered in the Homs district that had been used to smuggle weapons into Lebanon. Now it emerges that the reality is far more complex.

In western Syria, the population is exhausted by severe poverty and by acts of murder and kidnapping targeting minority communities, particularly the Alawite community. A Syrian source from that region who spoke with Israel Hayom said, "What is happening now is very dangerous." According to the source, "There is indeed hostility between al-Julani's men [Ahmed al-Sharaa] and Iran, and on the surface they are enemies. However, under the table, al-Julani's men are providing Hezbollah with concessions no less significant than those Assad gave them. Through arms deals with Hezbollah on the Syrian black market, they are supplying them with weapons cheaply."

"In Damascus, there are hundreds of warehouses full of Grad, Scud, and Katyusha rockets that the government has seized," the Syrian source added. "Al-Julani and his people are playing both sides." He explained that "al-Jolani's people include a large number of mercenaries who worship money. The state – that is, the government – cannot provide for all of them and their salaries. So each one finds his own way to make money – weapons, drugs, cars, robbery. Each one finds his area of specialty." (Read more)

4. Two separate Israeli espionage cases uncover Iran-linked activities in Jerusalem, Ashkelon - Jerusalem Post

An Ashkelon Magistrate’s Court allowed, on Monday, the publication of limited additional details from a sensitive security investigation involving several suspects alleged to have provided services to Iranian elements, in what appears to be the latest case in Israel’s widening wave of Iran-linked espionage.

According to the wording now cleared for publication, the Serious and International Crime Unit in Lahav 433 is conducting a security-related investigation concerning several actors who are suspected to have provided various services to Iranian actors.

As part of that probe, investigators are examining suspicions that the suspects acted at the Iranians’ request to manufacture explosive material and even carried out experiments with the substance they allegedly produced. (Read more)

5. Israel ramps up Arrow interceptor production amid reports of depleted stockpile
- Times of Israel

Israel has approved plans to dramatically accelerate the production of Arrow interceptor missiles, the Defense Ministry announced Monday.

According to the ministry, the agreement with Israel Aerospace Industries, “will enable a substantial increase in the production rate and quantity of Arrow interceptors.”

Israel’s Arrow 3 missile defense is currently its most advanced long-range defense system, meant to intercept ballistic missiles — like the type fired from Iran — while they are still outside the Earth’s atmosphere. (Read more)

1. Israel preparing to strike Iran's energy network - Israel Hayom

Israel is preparing a large-scale attack on Iran's energy facilities, but is waiting for US approval to carry out the move, a senior Israeli source told Reuters.

According to the report, Israel has drawn up a comprehensive plan to strike the Islamic Republic's electricity grid, power stations, and oil pumping and refining facilities, with the aim of damaging the country's economy.

Israel has so far refrained from launching an all-out attack on refineries and power stations in Iran, and the US also expressed dissatisfaction over an Israeli strike on oil facilities last month. On Saturday, Israel struck petrochemical industry facilities in western Iran, after carrying out extensive strikes against the country's steel industry last week. (Read more)

2. El Al cancels all scheduled flights till April 18 due to war in Middle East - Jerusalem Post

El Al Israel Airlines Ltd. (TASE:ELAL) has sent an urgent letter to Minister of Transport Miri Regev demanding that a temporary order be immediately invoked adapting the Aviation Services Law to the reality created by the current war. According to the airline, the current operating conditions at Ben Gurion Airport, which include a limit of 50 passengers on departing flights and a maximum of one aircraft per hour, do not allow for regular or economic operation of flights, and continuation of the situation could severely harm the company.

The letter focuses on a central demand: a temporary change to the Aviation Services Law, so that it fits the emergency conditions. El Al wants cancellation of passengers' entitlement to assistance for flight cancellation. Such adjustment to the law would include cancellation of entitlement to financial compensation, adjustments to entitlement to accommodation, and adjustments to providing passengers with an alternative flight. These adjustments, El Al says, are required to allow airlines to operate under the existing restrictions, without incurring costs that are not in line with operational reality.

El Al also calls on the Ministry of Transport and the Knesset Economic Affairs Committee to immediately lead a dialogue with all relevant parties, with the aim of formulating solutions that will enable the continuation of Israeli aviation activity during the war. (Read more)

Lord, we pray for the aviation industry which is being severely impacted by this war. Restore what had been destroyed.

"I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you." (Joel 2:25)

3. Iran hits Israeli industrial zone for third time, strikes critical energy infrastructure across Gulf - Times of Israel

Iran fired four salvos of missiles at northern and southern Israel on Sunday, with one projectile hitting an industrial zone, as the Islamic Republic damaged critical infrastructure in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Kuwait.

A missile fired at Israel struck the Neot Hovav industrial zone south of Beersheba on Sunday afternoon.

There were no reports of injuries.

The Israeli Air Force said that the ballistic missile carried a conventional warhead, not a cluster bomb. Attempts to intercept it were made, but air defenses failed to knock the missile down. The Air Force was investigating the matter.

A second missile fired at the south a short time later was likely intercepted, the Israel Defense Forces assessed.  More than 500 ballistic missiles have been launched from Iran at Israel since the start of the war. (Read more)

Lord, we pray protection and peace over Israel. We pray all missiles will be intercepted and do no harm.

"No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.

4. Limited Passover and Easter ceremonies held at Jerusalem holy sites amid war restrictions - Times of Israel

Clergy held limited Passover and Easter services in Jerusalem’s Old City on Sunday amid wartime restrictions that prevented the participation of the tens of thousands of worshippers and pilgrims who generally flock to the holy sites.

The prayers came even as religious leaders appealed to the High Court to relax the limits on public gatherings imposed by the IDF Home Front Command amid persistent Iranian missile fire, citing a court ruling on Saturday that allowed 600 people to take part in an anti-government protest in Tel Aviv.

At the Western Wall, up to 50 people were permitted at the traditional priestly blessing ceremony that was held in a covered space, in a wartime departure from the ceremony that normally takes place in the plaza.

Among those who attended in person were Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion and Chief Rabbis Kalman Ber and David Yosef. Others were forced to watch the ceremony via live broadcast.

The ceremony generally sees male descendants of the Kohanim, the Jewish priestly caste, gather to bestow a benediction — known in Hebrew as Birkat Kohanim — raising their hands to perform the blessing while wrapped in prayer shawls. An iconic sight, it usually draws tens of thousands of people. (Read more)

Lord, we are saddened that worshippers were restricted from the holy sites on Easter. Thank you for protecting those who were allowed at the sites and we pray an end to this war conflict.

5. Egypt, US, and Iran discuss regional de-escalation as Mideast violence continues to flare up - The Jerusalem Post

Egypt pushed fresh de-escalation efforts on Sunday, with Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty holding calls with US envoy Steve Witkoff, Iran’s Abbas Araghchi, and other regional officials.

Egypt's Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held separate phone calls on Sunday to discuss proposals for regional de-escalation with US Envoy Steve Witkoff and various regional counterparts, including Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi according to a Reuters report.

This is not Egypt's first diplomatic effort aimed at the conflicts de-escalation. Last month, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi met with Saudi Arabia’s Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah to address the challenges facing the region amid the ongoing clashes with Iran.

According to Asharq al-Awsat, they discussed “the repercussions of the military escalation in the Middle East and its impact on regional and global security and stability.” (Read more)

Lord, we do pray for ceasefire proposals to end this war and bring stability to the Middle East.

Five people were killed and 19 others ‌wounded by a Russian drone strike on a market in the frontline Ukrainian city of Nikopol on Saturday morning, Ukraine's prosecutor general's office said.
"This is yet another war crime committed by the ‌Russian Federation," the prosecutor's office said on Telegram.

The Daily Jot

Remembering What Still Awaits

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, April 6, 2026

In Jesus’s final seder with His disciples, He took the matzah and the cup and gave a command that still echoes today, “Do this in remembrance of me.” The apostle Paul later explains in 1 Corinthians 11:26, “For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Master’s death until He comes.” That statement carries weight far beyond a simple memorial. It points forward. It anchors the present to a future reality. When we take the bread and the cup, we are not only looking back at His sacrifice, we are declaring something still unfinished. We proclaim His death until He comes, which means we live in expectation. Faith is not rooted in memory alone, but in a promise that has yet to be fulfilled.

Many have come to understand this moment through the lens of the Eucharist, often treating it as a sacramental rite tied to forgiveness or standing before God. But when viewed through its original Jewish context, something deeper emerges. The act of giving thanks, from the Greek eucharisteo, reflects a blessing over the meal, much like the Passover seder itself. When Jesus lifted the cup and gave thanks, He was participating in a long-established tradition, yet He infused it with prophetic meaning. He spoke of a covenant, of His blood poured out, and of a day when He would drink the cup again in His Father’s Kingdom (Matthew 26:27-29). That moment was not about ritual formality. It was a declaration of what was coming. Read More

Blue states are changing the tax rules on the wealthy and it's going to cost all of us
Blue states have every right to set their own tax policy. But they don't get to suspend the law of economics along with it

Every politician eventually runs out of other people's money to spend. Blue state governors and legislators are just running out faster than the rest.

Right now, there is a coordinated wave of new tax proposals sweeping California, New York, Washington state, Massachusetts, Michigan and Connecticut. The common thread? They all believe the solution to self-inflicted budget crises is to reach deeper into the pockets of their most productive residents. And if those residents decide to leave, they want to charge them an exit tax on the way out. What? Is this America?

Let that sink in. An exit tax. As in, we know you're leaving because of our lousy tax structure, and we want the door to hit you on the way out.

The proposals on the table right now

California's Billionaire Tax Act is the crown jewel of this movement. The ballot measure would impose a one-time 5% tax on the total net worth of anyone worth more than $1 billion residing in the state. Not their income. Their net worth. Think about what that means for a founder whose entire net worth is locked up in a private company that employs thousands of people. And think about how many millionaires they made themselves building that company.  You could have $2 million in liquid assets, and a $100 billion paper valuation and California would hand you a $5 billion tax bill. That's not a tax policy. That's an asset seizure dressed up as fairness.

Washington state, which has never had an income tax in its history, just passed a 9.9% tax on incomes over $1 million. The moment that bill cleared the legislature, Starbucks founder Howard Schultz announced he was moving to Florida. Shocker. Starbucks' own headquarters announced it's moving to Tennessee. Shocker. When the founder and the company both leave at the same time, that's not a coincidence. That's a message we hear in a resounding fashion from high-tax, high-spend states.

Michigan wants to amend its state constitution to impose a 9.25% top rate on incomes over $500,000. For residents of Detroit, the combined state and local rate would approach nearly 12%. Meanwhile, across the border in Ohio, the flat income tax rate is 2.75%. In Indiana, it's 2.95%. You don't need to be a certified financial planner to do that math. You just need a moving truck. (Fox News) Read more here.

Father God, we thank You that these millionaires are now fleeing states that are imposing taxes upon them as they leave. We thank You, Holy One, that these have now come to their senses and are leaving while they can still secure their own funds. We ask that the governors of the states that are now imposing these taxes would "wake up and smell the coffee" -- coming to their senses and understanding why this is happening. Thank You, O Lord, for hearing our prayer, amen and amen!

"Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life." (Galatians 6:7,8)
Treasury and IRS Announce Tax Filing Relief for DHS Personnel
The federal agencies seek to support “DHS employees and their families unfairly impacted by ongoing shutdown.“

The Department of the Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) have extended the tax filing date for workers in the Department of Homeland Security and its agencies. The new deadline will be May 15, 2026.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated, The continued shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security has created unnecessary disruptions, placing an unfair burden on DHS personnel and their families.“

“As they continue to show up under extraordinary circumstances without receiving a paycheck, Treasury and the IRS will provide affected DHS employees with a 30-day automatic extension for this tax filing season with penalty and interest relief,“ the secretary explained. “We are committed to supporting our hard-working DHS officers and employees so they can stay focused on their mission and keep the American people safe without being penalized for missing a tax filing deadline.” (Read more)

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Bessent to be prudent as he oversees the Treasury Department and its agencies.
  • For SSA Commissioner Frank Bisignano as he also serves as IRS Chief Executive Officer.
  • For workers in DHS and its agencies as they receive pay through alternate emergency funding from the president’s administration while Congress negotiates appropriations.

Franklin Graham cites King David in response to papal war rebuke: 'God does take sides'
Former speaker of the Knesset takes issue with interpretation

Evangelist and Samaritan's Purse CEO Franklin Graham cited the Old Testament example of King David earlier this week to push back against Pope Leo XIV's claim that God rejects the prayers of those who wage war.

Speaking during a Tuesday episode of "Piers Morgan Uncensored," Morgan asked Graham to respond to the pontiff, who devoted his Palm Sunday homily to rebuking those who would justify war in the name of Jesus Christ.

"He does not listen to the prayers of those who wage war, but rejects them," the pope said, quoting Isaiah 1:15, when the prophet condemned ancient Judah for its violence: "Even though you make many prayers, I will not listen: your hands are full of blood."

"Oh, I don't know," Graham told Morgan in response. "You know, David, King David, he prayed that God would train his hands how to fight his enemies. We know that God does take sides in history, certainly as it relates to biblical history. God gave great favor to David, great wisdom to David, every time he went into battle."

Graham explained there are just wars, singling out World War II as an example, and went on to claim that the Iranian regime has become "a danger to the whole world." He ultimately blamed Iran for the approximately 70,000 Palestinian deaths in Gaza since October 2023, as well as for the thousands of deaths in Lebanon and Yemen.

"I want peace, I don't want war," Graham said. "I don't support war, but I do believe, at times, there is justification when you're fighting evil. And the Islamic Republic of Iran, I believe, is an evil government. And so I hope there is a regime change. I really do." (The Christian Post) Read more here.

Lord God, we thank You for this statement by Rev. Franklin Graham, which clarifies the biblical basis for a time for war. We thank You that the Bible is true and does not lie; and that from the beginning of time, men have fought wars to gain their freedom. We ask that those who read Franklin Graham's statements would come to understand and to defend this biblical truth. Amen.

And a time of peace."

He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war.

He shall prevail against His enemies."

Thought for the Day
"Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying,
“This is the way, walk in it,”
Whenever you turn to the right hand
Or whenever you turn to the left."
(Isaiah 30:21)
A Special Message
The Sinner's Prayer
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."
