Retired F-16 pilot says rescued US airman's survival in Iran highlights intense evasion training
|
|
|
President Donald Trump touted the recovery mission as an 'Easter miracle' after a multiday search inside enemy territory
|
|

A missing F-15E crew member was rescued from Iran in a daring mission after 48 hours behind enemy lines. The CIA reportedly used a deception campaign involving a maritime package to distract Iranian forces. The airman, a highly respected Colonel, survived a surface-to-air missile hit, hiked to an elevated mountain crevice, and activated an emergency beacon for rescue. President Trump personally ordered the high-risk operation.
Downed over enemy territory and forced to evade capture, a U.S. airman’s survival highlights the high-stakes training that prepares pilots for the worst, a former Air Force fighter pilot said Sunday.
"As a F-16 fighter pilot, I'll tell you that the last thing we do before we step to go fly a combat sortie is we brief up the CSAR mission and understanding what will happen if we have to get out of that aircraft," Lt. Col. Dan Rooney told "Fox & Friends Weekend."
"And we have a motto, 'Stay ready so you don't have to get ready,'" he said.
U.S. forces rescued a missing U.S. weapons system officer from a downed F-15E in Iran following a multiday search inside enemy territory as Iranian forces simultaneously searched the area.
The pilot, who also ejected from the jet in Khuzestan Province, was rescued Friday morning.
President Donald Trump touted the recovery mission as an "Easter miracle."
Rooney said pilots undergo extensive survival and evasion training to prepare for worst-case scenarios, including being shot down behind enemy lines. (Fox News)

Jesus, our Salvation, we are so thankful this second pilot weapons officer was rescued alive! You are the God of life, so we pray that he will recover fully from his serious injuries. As You rose from the dead so long ago, we are blessed that Your Power still covers us even in these extremely difficult times.
"He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed." (1 Peter 2:24)

Retired F-16 pilot says rescued US airman's survival in Iran highlights intense evasion training
|

A U.S. F-15E Strike Eagle jet has been shot down, and both American and Iranian forces are scrambling to find the crew first, unconfirmed reports claim.
UPDATE 1800 BST — One crewman rescued, report claims
One crew member from that downed F-15 has been recovered by U.S. forces, broadcaster CBS News claimed it was told by “U.S. Officials”.
The search and rescue mission to recover the second crew member is ongoing. The BBC says White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told them “The President had been briefed”. (Breitbart) Go here.

Holy Father, we ask that You surround our troops whether in the air or elsewhere with Your Power and Protection. We pray for this second Weapons Systems Officer to be found as quickly as possible by American forces.
“For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day.” (Psalm 91: 4-6)

Trump signs executive order overhauling mail-in voting in major election integrity
|
|
President Donald Trump on Tuesday signed a sweeping executive order targeting mail-in voting and voter eligibility, calling the move a major step toward restoring confidence in U.S. elections.
Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump said the order is focused on "voter integrity and Mail-In ballots" and on "stopping the massive cheating that’s gone on."
"We’re going to be signing an executive order," Trump said. "It’s, I believe it’s foolproof… I think it’s very obvious what’s said."
The order directs federal agencies to work with states to compile lists of eligible voters using federal citizenship and identity data, while also instructing the U.S. Postal Service to develop new safeguards for mail-in ballots, including barcode tracking and verification measures.
Under the order, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) working with the Social Security Administration and other federal databases, will create and share "State Citizenship Lists" with state election officials. (Yahoo.com) Read more here.

Trump to Impose 100 Percent Tariffs on Certain Imported Drugs
|
|
President Donald Trump signed executive orders on April 2 raising levies on some medications and refining calculations on steel tariffs. Pharmaceutical drugs produced outside the United States are subject to 100 percent tariffs, unless manufacturers agree to onshore production and offer most-favored-nation pricing.
The Commerce Department is authorized to reduce levies to 20 percent for companies that invest in American facilities and remove the tariffs entirely for those that agree to both conditions. Generic medications are exempt from the tariffs for one year, and a reassessment is scheduled for 2027.
Exceptions were granted, lowering tariffs to 15 percent for the European Union, Switzerland, Japan, and South Korea, and to 10 percent for the UK. Reduced rates reflect previous commitments with trading partners, according to a senior administration official. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

|
Lord, only You know whether this plan will help Americans pay for the life-saving medications they need. First and foremost, we ask for a move of Your Holy Spirit to bring healing to all who are in need. Let all options be available.
“Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them and reveal to them abundance of prosperity and security.” (Jeremiah 33:6)

NYT: Democrats’ ActBlue May Have Misled Congress on Donor Vetting Process
|
|
The Democrat fundraising machine, ActBlue, was reportedly warned by a law firm working for the platform in early 2025 that it possibly misled congressional leaders regarding its vetting of foreign donations, according to the New York Times.
The newspaper on Thursday noted its article was based on internal legal memos, emails, resignation letters, Slack messages, and interviews with current and former employees of the Democrat National Committee’s donor platform, adding the fundraising group is facing investigations as the November midterm elections approach.
The outlet said:
The firm concluded that ActBlue’s chief executive had given a potentially misleading response to congressional Republican investigators in a 2023 letter explaining how the organization vetted donations to ensure that they were not illegally coming from foreign citizens.
The letter from the chief executive, Regina Wallace-Jones, said ActBlue carried out “multilayered” screenings of contributions that helped “root out” those from overseas. In fact, the law firm found, some of the steps she had described were not always followed.
The firm, Covington & Burling, said the issue presents “substantial risk” for the fundraising platform, and the Times article noted “One memo raised the specter of a criminal investigation if prosecutors believed that ActBlue had tried to conceal facts about its efforts to prevent foreign contributions.” (Breitbart) Read more.

|
Lord, we pray for accountability for this Democrat platform. If criminal violations have occurred, we ask for truth and a move of repentance for all who have participated in them.
“So then each of us will give an account of himself to God.” (Romans 14:12)

1. US intelligence assessments indicate Iran currently unwilling to negotiate end to war - report - Jerusalem Post
American intelligence assessments have indicated that the Iranian regime is unwilling to engage in negotiations to end the war with the US and Israel, The New York Timesreported, citing US officials familiar with the information.
According to assessments conducted by multiple US intelligence agencies, the regime believes it is in a strong enough position to continue the war and not cede to US demands.
The report, which was published on Wednesday, also indicated that Iran is willing to keep diplomatic channels open but does not trust the US or believe US President Donald Trump is serious about engaging in negotiations.
Two Iranian officials and one Pakistani official told the NYT that the Islamic Republic might engage in diplomacy under the right conditions. That said, they need to see that the US is willing to seriously discuss ending the war rather than negotiating a temporary ceasefire. (Read more)

2. Trump says war in Iran will not end until Strait of Hormuz is reopened - Politico
President Donald Trump said Wednesday that the war with Iran would not end until the Strait of Hormuz is reopened, as global leaders brace for an extended disruption to the energy market.
“Until then, we are blasting Iran into oblivion or, as they say, back to the Stone Ages!!!” he wrote on Truth Social on Wednesday.
The president’s post — a seemingly new condition for ending the war — comes as he plans to deliver a prime time speech to “provide an important update on Iran” on Wednesday evening. And it comes as Trump continues to stew over the inaction of U.S. allies on the Strait, a critical waterway and transit lane for roughly 20 percent of the world’s oil supply. (Read more)

An 82-year-old man was seriously wounded after being hit by debris and was rescued conscious from the rubble.
His wife was also injured and described as in moderate-to-light condition.
Emergency teams reported additional casualties, including at least six people lightly wounded, among them a baby, as well as several individuals suffering from shock.

Iran fired four salvos of missiles at northern and southern Israel on Sunday, with one projectile hitting an industrial zone, as the Islamic Republic damaged critical infrastructure in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Kuwait.
A missile fired at Israel struck the Neot Hovav industrial zone south of Beersheba on Sunday afternoon.
There were no reports of injuries.

1. FBI notified Congress last week of China-linked hack deemed 'major incident'- Fox News
FBI officials recently reached out to members of Congress to alert them to a cyber hack classified as a "major incident."
Fox News is told that China is the culprit and that the breach could pose a threat to national security. The hack involved FBI systems in the Virgin Islands, not FBI headquarters.
The FBI made this designation last week when notifying several members of Congress, Fox News is told.
Bureau officials first informed members of Congress early last month that there was suspicious activity on an internal FBI system that contained law enforcement sensitive information. There is a 2014 law called The Federal Information Security Modernization Act, or FISMA. It "requires agencies to notify congress of major security incidents within seven days after there is a reasonable basis to conclude that a major incident has occurred."
It's unclear exactly what information was compromised, but it was enough that the FBI had to notify Congress. Fox News has reached out to the FBI for comment. (Read more)

Lord, we pray that no harm to any people or agencies will come from this hack, and that all systems will be “hardened” to protect against further breaches.

2: At Trump’s Prompting, GOP Leadership Hatches New Plan to Fund DHS- Daily Signal
With the partial government shutdown now the longest in U.S. history, House and Senate Republicans are trying a new plan to resolve the standstill.
Last Friday, Republican senators passed a bill in the middle of the night to fund most of the Department of Homeland Security, excluding Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Protection. Democrats refused to fund those two agencies without additional restrictions on immigration enforcement.
The new plan would involve the House passing the Senate’s plan. Then both chambers would use the reconciliation process to fund immigration enforcement and border security for three years, without needing Democrat support. (Read more)

Lord God of Wisdom, we pray that this plan will be implemented to the benefit all DHS workers and allow them to be paid normally. We bind the interference of Democrats and ask that all evil plans to stop DHS funding fall to the ground.

3: Trump HHS renews Planned Parenthood grants for ‘final year,’ sparking pro-life outrage- Life Site News
The Trump Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has renewed Title X grants to Planned Parenthood for one “final” year, drawing outrage from pro-life leaders who question the administration’s claims that the law gave them no other choice.
Last year, the federal government froze $120 million in federal Title X “family-planning” grants to organizations suspected of not complying with the administration’s executive orders against involvement with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. The move did not specifically target Planned Parenthood or abortion but covered approximately $20 million received by Planned Parenthood locations across a dozen states.
In January, the far-left American Civil Liberties Union withdrew a lawsuit against the move after U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro confirmed in court that a review had found the affected organizations were not in violation of the DEI rule, and the funding had therefore been restored. The retreat did not affect the majority of the Trump administration’s abortion defunding actions, which are still in effect and being defended from legal challenge, but caused deep alarm among the pro-life movement.
“HHS plans to update the Biden-era regulations governing the Title X program to ensure program integrity and reflect Trump administration priorities,” an insider was quoted as saying at the time, though details were not revealed.
On Tuesday, however, the Daily Wire reported that it caught wind the funding would be removed, and subsequently received confirmation from White House spokesman Kush Desai.
“The administration has issued the fifth and final year of Title X grants that were locked in place during the Biden presidency,” he said. “The administration faced significant legal challenges in stopping any of these dollars from going out.” (Read more)

Lord, we pray that as the administration moves forward all funding for Planned Parenthood and every other pro-abortion group will be removed.

4. Judge halts construction on Trump’s ballroom, says Congress must decide – MSN
A federal judge ordered a halt to construction of President Donald Trump’s White House ballroom, ruling that Trump lacks authority to fund the estimated $400 million project through private donations.
U.S. District Judge Richard Leon disagreed with the Trump administration’s argument that the president has broad authority to make changes to the White House without congressional approval, including projects on the scale of his planned 90,000-square-foot ballroom
“The President of the United States is the steward of the White House for future generations of First Families. He is not, however, the owner!” Leon wrote in a 35-page ruling issued Tuesday afternoon.
“No statute comes close to giving the President the authority he claims to have,” he wrote.
Leon, an appointee of President George W. Bush, also wrote that Trump has not identified a law that allowed him to demolish the White House’s East Wing last year without congressional approval.
He stayed his order for two weeks and ruled crews could continue construction necessary to ensure the safety and security of the White House.
Within hours, the Trump administration notified the court it would appeal Leon’s decision, which the White House called “egregious.”
“President Trump clearly has the legal authority to modernize, renovate, and beautify the White House — just like all of his predecessors did,” White House spokesman Davis Ingle said in a statement, adding: “We … are confident we will prevail.” (Read more)

|
Lord, this is a ridiculous ruling, since numerous Presidents have remodeled or drastically changed the White House long before President Trump. We ask that this administration prevail in court and the fact that this ballroom is not paid for with taxpayer dollars be clearly shown.
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

5: US Interim Attorney General Todd Blanche calls speculation surrounding Bondi's firing 'simply not true'- Fox News
U.S. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche addressed Pam Bondi’s firing by President Donald Trump after reports indicated the president had grown dissatisfied with her performance at the Justice Department.
Blanche denied reports that Trump’s decision to remove Bondi stemmed from frustration over her handling of the Epstein files.
"I have never heard President Trump say that the attorney general was — that anything that happened to her — had anything to do with the Epstein files," he told "Jesse Watters Primetime" on Thursday.
Bondi’s ousting marked Trump’s second Cabinet shakeup in just one month after he fired and reassigned DHS Secretary Kristi Noem on March 5.
Blanche also dismissed a Daily Mail report that Trump believed Bondi tipped off Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., about the FBI’s plan to release files on Christine Fang, a Chinese spy he was formerly associated with.
"I would not believe that for a second — absolutely, positively not," he told Fox News host Jesse
Watters.
The New York Times reported that Trump was unhappy with her handling of the Epstein files. (Read more)

6: Why the Church Must Recognize the “Unholy Alliance” Threat Now- Christian Post/Michael Yousef
Across the nation, a major shift is taking place—and most churches are not equipped to address it. We are entering an era of unprecedented spiritual and demographic transformation that is catching the body of Christ off guard.
The statistics paint a sobering picture:
- 52% Muslim population growth in North America over the last decade (Source: Pew Research)
- 60% of Americans claim Christianity—yet only 4% hold a Biblical worldview (Source: Barna)
- 64% of pastors feel limited in their ability to speak out on moral issues (Source: Barna)
This vacuum is being filled by false gospels—"Progressive Christianity,” universalism, and voices like Texas State Representative James Talarico, who recently claimed all 'religions of love' point to the same truth.
This is the “Unholy Alliance” in action: as the Church loses its theological conviction, it inadvertently clears the path for a paradoxical partnership between the secular Left and radical Islam. Though they hold diametrically opposed worldviews, they share a common target: the Judeo-Christian foundation of the West.
As a pastor for more than 52 years, the Church's unpreparedness for this cultural moment burdens me greatly. We cannot afford to ignore this any longer. (Read more)

7. Parents of MacDill bomb suspects are illegal immigrants, DHS warns of birthright citizenship dangers- Fox news
The parents of the suspects connected to the foiled explosive attack outside MacDill Air Force Base in Florida last month are illegal immigrants, the Department of Homeland Security announced, adding that the case underscores the dangers of birthright citizenship.
ICE agents took the parents, identified as Qiu Qin Zou and Jia Zhang Zheng, into custody on March 18, days after their son, Alen Zheng, allegedly planted an explosive device outside the base.
Officials said the parents illegally entered the United States and applied for asylum in 1993, but an immigration judge denied those claims and ordered both Zheng and Zou removed from the U.S. in 1998.
The Board of Immigration Appeals denied multiple attempts by the pair to reopen their case, but they remained in the U.S. for decades despite the removal order. (Read more)

Lord, this reveals the problem with just removing illegal immigrants without further punishments. There must be consequences for all who come with the intent to harm our nation. We pray that the “anchor baby” situation will be resolved so that these kinds of situations will not happen again.

Judge Dismisses IFA’s Settlement in Johnson Amendment Case
|
|
|
|
Please note: As many intercessors may know, IFA has for some time now been involved in a lawsuit seeking to overthrow the Johnson Amendment, a provision that prevents churches and religious nonprofits from speaking into politics. Recently, however, a ruling from the judge presiding over the case has thrown the whole suit into jeopardy. (For details. please read below.)
|
|
U.S. District Judge J. Campbell Barker in Tyler, an appointee of President Trump, ruled he lacked jurisdiction to approve the pact between the IRS and [IFA,] two Texas churches and the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB), Reuters reported.
Under the proposed agreement, traditional religious communications would have been deemed exempt from the Johnson Amendment, a 1954 tax code provision named after then-Sen. Lyndon Johnson that bars religious and secular nonprofits from endorsing political candidates.
The IRS entered into the pact in July to settle a lawsuit brought by NRB ahead of the 2024 presidential election, challenging the Johnson Amendment, according to the report.
Judge Barker reportedly sided with the group Americans United for Separation of Church and State, which argued he was blocked from approving the settlement by the Tax Anti-Injunction Act, which “prohibits lawsuits that seek to block the collection of taxes.”
As plaintiffs in this case, we at IFA are disappointed in this decision. IFA President and CEO David Kubal spoke about the ruling, saying, “I’m extremely disappointed with the judges decision. I disagree with it, and we will appeal.” Michael Farris, general counsel for NRB, agreed, stating his intention to appeal. He argued that Judge Barker’s decision “ignores an Anti-Injunction Act exemption that would allow the case to move forward,” according to Breitbart.
Judge Barker’s decision may not be what we wanted to see, but don’t get discouraged! Let’s continue to boldly pray for the overturning of the Johnson Amendment and for religious freedom to prevail! (Breitbart/IFA) Read more here.

ICE Arrests Islamic Leader Accused Of Aiding Hamas. He’s Lived In The U.S. For Decades
|
|
|
The Trump administration arrested the president of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee, the Department of Homeland Security said on Thursday, describing the man as a Jordanian terrorist.
Salah Sarsour, who has lived in the United States for over 30 years, was convicted in Israel as a teenager after throwing molotov cocktails at the homes of Israeli soldiers. He has also been accused of helping raise money for Hamas in the 1990s. Sarsour was issued a green card under former President Bill Clinton after lying on his immigration application, Homeland Security said.
Sarsour has been the president of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee for the past five years. The society is the largest Islamic group in Wisconsin, The New York Times reported. He is also a board member of the American Muslims for Palestine, a group that has faced scrutiny over alleged links to Hamas and its support for intifada in the wake of Hamas’ October 7, 2023, terrorist attack on Israel.
“This terrorist will remain in ICE custody pending removal proceedings,” DHS said. (Daily Wire) Read more here.

Holy Lord, this terrorist must remain in custody. Deportation is just one part of the punishment – he should be also taken to court for lying on his immigration application. The Islamist ideology is anathema to Your Word and shows defiance to the Truth. We pray for the souls of those who follow these falsehoods, that You will grant repentance to them.

Iran Guards recruiting children as young as 12, putting them on front lines of war
|
|
|
Iran is ramping up the recruitment of children as young as the age of 12 into military-linked roles tied to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), according to new reports by Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International.
The reports underscore mounting pressure inside Iran’s war effort. As U.S. and Israeli strikes intensify, rights groups and analysts say recruiting children points to manpower shortages and a growing reliance on paramilitary forces to hold the home front. It also escalates the human cost of the conflict, placing minors in direct danger while exposing Iran to potential war crimes liability.
Human Rights Watch said the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has launched a campaign called "Homeland Defending Combatants for Iran," lowering the minimum recruitment age to 12 and encouraging minors to sign up in mosques and through Basij, a volunteer paramilitary force under the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The roles go beyond support tasks and include "operational patrols," staffing checkpoints and intelligence activities, putting children directly in harm’s way as fighting intensifies across the country. (Fox News) Read more here.

Lord, we ask that this regime be so decimated that they can no longer do such evil things. We pray for restoration to the ordinary people of Iran, that You will arise for them so that the ideology that drove the mullahs will be destroyed.
