Melania Trump Reunifies More Families

|
First Lady Melania Trump has reunited a group of Ukrainian and Russian children with their families, the fifth group she has facilitated in doing so. According to her office, Mrs. Trump’s efforts have “bridged political divides in pursuit of a singular humanitarian mission: placing the well-being of children above conflict and helping restore families torn apart by war.” Five children were reunited in the latest group.
“While diplomacy and peace building are important to this effort, they are surpassed by our collective ability to place children above international disputes,” the First Lady said. “Every reunion is a reminder that compassion, dignity, and family can transcend even the darkest of times: war. My representative and I continue working with the governments of Russia and Ukraine to safely return children to their families and communities.” Earlier this year, the United States announced last week that it will provide $25 million in an effort to reunite children with their families. Joe Biden's 'Very Painful' Cancer Is Spreading, Hunter Confirms
|

Former President Joe Biden’s prostate cancer has metastasized further and is now spreading to other parts of his body, son Hunter Biden confirmed Saturday in a radio interview.
The cancer was first detected in May 2025 just four months after he left the White House as the oldest sitting president, as Breitbart News reported.
In a press release from Biden’s personal office, it was revealed while Biden’s prostate cancer “represents a more aggressive form of the disease,” the octogenarian’s cancer “appears to be hormone-sensitive.”
President Donald Trump and many others offered words of encouragement after Biden’s health travails went public.
“Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis. We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. (Breitbart) Read more here.

Officials said at least three general aviation aircraft violated temporary flight restrictions near Bedminster, New Jersey, on Sunday as President Donald Trump spent the weekend at his golf club, where the four-day LIV Golf New York tournament was being held.
The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) said its F-16 fighter jets intercepted two general aviation aircraft before confirming that a third aircraft also triggered an alert as Trump was preparing to depart the area.
The third incident appeared to delay Trump’s departure by about 13 minutes. During that time, emergency SUVs, law enforcement officers and U.S. Secret Service agents were seen moving into position near the runway where Trump was scheduled to depart around 5 p.m. E.T.
Officials said the first two general aviation aircraft were safely escorted out of the restricted area by NORAD aircraft. The third aircraft "reestablished communications and became compliant before NORAD intervention was required." (Fox News) Read more here.

Jodey Arrington Pushes Bill Targeting Medicare, Medicaid Fraud
|
|
|
House Budget Committee Chairman Jodey Arrington (R-TX) told Breitbart News that fraud across the federal government has reached what he considers a crisis, saying Congress needs to give investigators more personnel, modern technology, and authority as he pushes legislation investing $28 billion to combat fraud in Medicare and Medicaid.
“The more I dig into it, the more we focus on what reforms are necessary to stop it, and the more I talk to Dr. Oz and folks at the White House involved in the fraud task force, the more I’m convinced it is at a crisis scale,” Arrington told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview. He said it was “mind blowing that we’ve allowed our federal coffers to be looted over the years at the scale that it’s happening.”
Arrington joined Health Care Task Force Chair Blake Moore (R-UT), Reps. Mike Carey (R-OH), Glenn Grothman (R-WI), Addison McDowell (R-NC), Jay Obernolte (R-CA), and Vice Chair Lloyd Smucker (R-PA) in introducing the Anti-Fraud Fund Act of 2026. The legislation would increase funding for the Health Care Fraud and Abuse Control Program by $7 billion annually for fiscal years 2027 through 2030, totaling $28 billion. Arrington said the legislation was developed as officials confront what he called “a $275 million a day problem” involving CMS.
The July 22 press release announcing the legislation said the $28 billion would support attorneys, agents, technology, and other resources used by the Department of Health and Human Services and its partners to prevent and pursue Medicare and Medicaid fraud. The Health Care Fraud and Abuse Control Program, established in 1996, coordinates work by the Justice Department, CMS, and HHS Office of Inspector General. Rep. Moore described it as a joint DOJ-HHS program with “a 7:1 return for dollars saved for every dollar spent.” (Breitbart) Read more here.

Today, the dominance of the Democrat Party is being challenged by the Democrat Socialists of America – a modern version of the Socialist Party that began in 1901, or, perhaps, the American Communist Party that started in 1919.
DSA candidates are loudly fielding candidates across the country with no greater success than New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani's victory.
The establishment Democrats are raising their voices in alarm, garnering such headlines as these:
"A Small Band of Socialists Is Sowing Panic in the Democratic Party," from the Wall Street Journal
And this from NBC News, "Slumping Democratic establishment takes another blow with Abdul El-Sayed’s Michigan win."
Recently, Van Jones, a former adviser to President Barack Obama, warned that the DSA was "hijacking" the party.
The plain truth, however, is that the Democrat Party has no control over the DSA and, more importantly, cannot stop it from claiming its members are "Democrats" and redefining the Democrat Party. (Fox News) Read more here.

Israel rejects 15-point plan to disarm Hamas, withdraw Israeli troops
|

Last month, President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace created the plan for the gradual disarmament of Gaza and withdrawal of Israeli troops from the territory. But in a cabinet meeting Sunday, a readout from Netanyahu’s office from a meeting of government ministers said, “I want to be clear here — Israel is ruling out the 15-point plan.”
He said he has told the Trump administration about his concerns.
The Israeli military “will not carry out any withdrawal until Hamas is genuinely disarmed and will continue to thwart threats against our forces and our citizens,” Netanyahu said. “We are now discussing this with the Americans,” he said. “They have ideas, some of which are acceptable to us and some are not, and we know how to stand up to those things.”
He reiterated his opposition to a two-state solution.
“As long as I am prime minister, no Palestinian state will be established — not in Gaza and not in the West Bank,” Netanyahu said. (Breitbart) Read more here.

1. Netanyahu spokesman to JNS: Hamas must disarm before Gaza pullout - JNS
Israel will unequivocally reject any Gaza Strip ceasefire framework that fails to require the total disarmament of Hamas, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s new international spokesperson said on Monday, warning that the terrorist group must be completely stripped of its arsenal before Israel considers withdrawing it troops.
“The prime minister is not going to do anything that is going to put the Israeli people at risk,” Doron Spielman told JNS, emphasizing that Netanyahu is “aware of Hamas’s intentions” and that the group is “just as committed to terrorism today” as it was when it led the Palestinian massacre of Israelis on Oct. 7, 2023. “The only thing they’re lacking is the ability” to carry out another atrocity, he added.
Netanyahu insists the terrorist group must “truly disarm” before any agreement moves forward, the spokesperson said. “By truly disarming, I mean all of their weapons are going to be handed over and removed from the area, from Gaza,” Spielman said the premier told him. (Read more)

2. IDF warns Gazans of Hamas currency scheme - World Israel News
Lt. Col. Ella Waweya, the IDF Arabic-language spokesperson, issued an unusual warning directed at Gaza Strip residents, alerting them to what he described as a financial scheme by Hamas.
According to Waweya, the terror organization has been paying its operatives with outdated Israeli currency notes that are scheduled to lose their validity.
“You are currently living under economic deception, and it’s time to open your eyes,” Waweya stated in her message to Gaza residents.
“The money in your possession could lose its value completely at any moment.”
She explained that the Bank of Israel has recommended exchanging old Series B banknotes for newer versions. Most of these older notes have already been replaced throughout the region. (Read more)

3. Hebrew reports claim two Arab states plotting to sign diplomatic deals with Israel to trick it as they plan for war - Times of Israel
Israel suspects that two Arab states are plotting to attack Israel by lulling it into a false sense of security through fake diplomatic agreements, according to two separate reports published in the past day by the Kan public broadcaster and Channel 12.
According to the reports, the two countries — neither of which is identified by name — would sign diplomatic agreements with Israel to “anesthetize” the Jewish state and remove any unwanted scrutiny.
They would then be free to plan a major attack on Israel and launch it at a time of their choosing, having pulled the wool over Jerusalem’s eyes, the reports claim. (Read more)

4. Netanyahu launches national AI program: ‘Israel will be a global power’

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and National AI Directorate chief Brig. Gen. (res.) Erez Eskel launched Israel’s National AI Program, aimed at establishing the country as a global leader in artificial intelligence and harnessing the technology to strengthen Israel’s economy and improve services for its citizens.
The program was launched Sunday at a conference attended by representatives of government ministries and agencies that have spent recent months formulating the plan.
Netanyahu said the program has two principal objectives: securing Israel’s position as a global AI superpower and promoting prosperity for the Israeli economy and public.

5. Colombia recognizes Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights - i24 News
Colombia's Foreign Ministry has officially announced its recognition of Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights. Monday's announcement follows Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar's meeting with Colombian President Abelardo de la Espriella in Barranquilla last Thursday, ahead of de la Espriella's inauguration.
In its announcement, the Colombian government said that "given the ongoing regional instability in the Middle East, and considering the strategic importance of the Golan Heights to Israel's security," it recognizes Israel's sovereignty over the territory and its right to defend itself against external threats.
Colombia further stated that Israel has faced "ongoing and existential security challenges along all of its borders" for decades, threats it said intensified following the October 7 attack. It said maintaining Israeli control over the Golan Heights is "an essential component" of Israel's national security. (Read more)

1. Trump loses 21 straight court battles for state voter rolls as midterms near - Reuters
The Trump administration's streak of courtroom defeats in its effort to obtain state voter rolls reached 21 this year when a judge ruled this week that states are not required to share the records with the federal government.
With President Donald Trump's Republicans defending slim majorities in both chambers of Congress, his administration has mounted an aggressive effort to expand federal oversight of elections ahead of the November 3 midterms.

Trump argues that widespread noncitizen voting is benefiting the Democratic Party, even though state audits and independent studies have found noncitizen voting to be rare.
A Reuters investigation found that just 129 people have been prosecuted for noncitizen voting since a law criminalizing it was passed in 1996, and that most of those cases stemmed from voter confusion or miscommunication with election officials rather than any conspiracy.
Repeatedly, and as recently as this week, judges have found the U.S. Constitution gives states primary responsibility for running federal elections and that federal voting laws do not require them to hand over the records.
"If the Department disagrees with Congress’s judgment as to the records necessary to carry out its enforcement duties ... it needs to lodge that objection with Congress," U.S. District Judge Randolph Moss, an appointee of Democratic President Barack Obama, wrote on Thursday in dismissing a Justice Department bid to obtain unredacted voter rolls from Washington, D.C. 2. Senate passes stopgap funding bill to prevent shutdown ahead of midterms - The Hill
The Senate voted early Saturday morning to fund the federal government until Dec. 11 with the aim of averting another government shutdown before the midterm election, sending the bill to the House before leaving for a five-week recess.
The continuing resolution (CR) passed 90-6 after Republicans spent days haggling over a provision inserted by the White House into the legislation that would have delayed a ban on hemp-derived THC products until December.
Sen. Darline Graham (R-S.C.) voted present because the measure included a death benefit to her brother’s, the late Sen. Lindsey Graham’s (R-S.C.), heir.
The vote on the continuing resolution finally came early Saturday morning after Republicans spent hours battling among themselves over setting up a series of votes to fund the government, confirm Attorney General Todd Blanche, and require voters to show photo identification for federal elections.
The measure now goes to the House, which is scheduled to return on Aug. 31, for a vote.
Some Republicans had warned for months that Democrats would try to shut down the government right before the midterm election in order to accuse Republicans of not being up to the task of governing.

3. White House plans broader anti-fraud crackdown ahead of midterm elections - Washington Examiner
The White House anti-fraud task force is preparing to expand its investigations into additional federal agencies this fall, a move that will keep one of the Trump administration’s signature government reform efforts in the spotlight heading into the midterm elections.
Federal Trade Commission Chairman Andrew Ferguson, who co-leads the task force with Vice President JD Vance, told the Washington Examiner that the administration will soon announce investigations and enforcement actions beyond the programs the task force has already targeted.
“I can say that I think what you’re going to see over the coming weeks is that the fraud that we’re searching is expanding to new agencies and new issues, and that we will have big public announcements uncovering, stopping, and prosecuting fraud in programs A) that will surprise you and B) that you would not have thought of as originally part of the task force mandate,” Ferguson said.
The expansion is likely to keep the administration’s anti-fraud initiative in the public eye throughout the fall as voters head to the polls and decide which party will control Congress for the final two years of President Donald Trump’s term in office.
“There’s tremendous public interest in this, and I do think it’ll play a role in the midterms,” said Ferguson. “We’ve uncovered a ton of fraud, we’ve stopped a ton of fraud, we’ve prosecuted a ton of fraud, but you’ll see that we’ve uncovered a lot more than we stopped, and that’s because there’s a lot of work still to do to stop more of it as the agencies bring more sophisticated anti-fraud tools online, and as DOJ has picked up the rate of investigations and prosecutions as like Kash Patel has increased resources to go find the fraudsters that have fled the country.” (Read more here)

4. Jim Jordan, House Republicans raise concern over 'major threat' from South Korea's 'fake news' law - Fox News
Republican members of the U.S. House Judiciary Committee raised concerns Thursday about the scope of a Korean law to combat so-called "fake news," which critics fear is being used to crack down on the constitutional free speech rights of American citizens and companies.
Four Republicans led by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, fired off a letter to Kim Jong-cheol, who serves as chairman of the Korea Media and Communications Commission (KMCC), expressing alarm at a new amendment to South Korea's Information and Communications Network Act.
The letter alleged that the amendment, which was passed by the Korean National Assembly last December and went into effect last month, "[gives] courts the unprecedented power to punish news outlets and social media users for spreading 'false or manipulated information' and extract damage awards of up to five times any alleged harm." It also warned that the amended law now permits the KMCC to "impose massive fines on news outlets and users that it deems to have spread such information." (Read more here)

5. Kim Jong Un Flouted Sanctions to Amass $22 Billion Windfall - Bloomberg
Trade records and satellite photos show how North Korea’s dictator found new cash to fortify his nuclear arsenal.
North Korea’s Kim Jong Un has more cash at his disposal than at any point during his 15 years in power.
His family-run dictatorship raked in as much as $22 billion in foreign revenue from 2022 to 2025, according to a Bloomberg Economics analysis of government trade figures and intelligence, as well as external research on key sources of income generation.
That historic haul is nearly quadruple the amount amassed in the previous four-year period, which came immediately after the US convinced China and Russia to sign off on United Nations sanctions aimed at depriving Kim of hard currency to advance his nuclear program. Since those restrictions were imposed, Kim has still managed to strengthen his nuclear deterrent, boost ties with key diplomatic partners and grow his sources of revenue.
“North Korea is in a stronger position than at any point in the last 35 years,” said Andrei Lankov, a specialist in Korean studies and director of consultancy Korea Risk Group. Cash from selling arms to Russia has been like “winning the lottery,” he added, while Chinese President Xi Jinping’s renewed support is equivalent to a reliable “pension.” (Read more)

6. Greenland issues ‘strong warning’ as Trump-linked oil firm prepares to drill - The Guardian
An American oil company connected to Donald Trump is preparing to sink wells in remote Greenland despite not having received permission from the local authorities.
As the US president renews his threats to claim the vast Arctic territory, materials to prepare for drilling were brought ashore in recent days on Greenland’s eastern coast.
That has prompted Greenland’s government to issue a “strong warning” that no approval had been granted to land the kit. “All future logistical matters must be advised and approved by the mineral resources authority – before they are carried out,” the government said in a statement.
Greenland Energy has declined to respond to questions from the Guardian. A letter it sent to shareholders on Thursday said: “Recent high-level meetings between project leadership and Greenlandic regulatory and oversight authorities have been constructive, and we continue to be encouraged by the progress being made toward the remaining approvals required for drilling.” It said that after those discussions, just one well would be drilled to begin with.
As a semi-autonomous territory of Denmark, decisions about Greenland’s natural resources rest with its local elected leaders, who now face a delicate decision. They could grant permission for oil drilling, even though the planned wells appear to fall within a conservation area protected by the Ramsar convention on wetlands. Or they could refuse and, some worry, give Trump a pretext to advance his agenda. (Read more)

Choose the Blessing, Share the Joy

In Re’eh, meaning “See,” from Deuteronomy 11:26–16:17, Moses makes his appeal once more to the people of Israel: “Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse: the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God… and the curse, if you do not obey” (Deuteronomy 11:26–28). The key word re’eh is singular, meaning “you see.” Each person is called to see personally how his choices impact the entire community. Once Israel entered the Promised Land, the covenant ceremony would take place between Mount Gerizim and Mount Ebal, with blessings proclaimed from one and curses from the other. The message: God had given His people a choice, and choices have consequences.
Moses instructed Israel to destroy the traces of idolatry and worship at the place God would choose, first at Shiloh and ultimately Jerusalem. Israel has taken delivery of its most advanced and expensive submarine from Germany, expanding its fleet amid escalating regional threats, according to reports.
The handover of the INS Drakon is expected to significantly bolster Israel's underwater strike and reconnaissance capabilities, The Algemeiner reported. The warship had been scheduled to be delivered in 2025.
A statement following the submarine's naming ceremony in Kiel in 2024 said the INS Drakon is of the Dolphin AIP class and "equipped with unique systems, including groundbreaking technologies that expand the range of the IDF's capabilities across various arenas."
Built specifically for the Israeli Navy by Germany's ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems (TKMS), the submarine is said to provide a vital sea-based layer of "deterrence and retribution," amid the war with Iran, defense analysts say.

Late-Night Senate Session Ends With SAVE America Defeat

The U.S. Senate adjourned early Saturday morning after a long night of votes and debate, failing to pass one of President Trump’s most pressing priorities, the SAVE American Act. Though Republicans had some wins, they left the fight for the legislation to secure U.S. elections until they return to Washington in September.
“Tragically, the Save America vote on the voter ID component failed,” Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, said after the Senate adjourned. “Not a single Democrat joined us. We’re going to have to keep fighting on that one. We’re not done. We’re just getting started,” he continued.
Some SAVE America provisions were attached to a House-passed budget bill that senators, and Trump, agreed to postpone until after their five-week recess. In a two-hour conference call that included GOP Sens. Lee, Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, Rick Scott of Florida, Majority Leader John Thune, and Trump, there was agreement to table the budget bill and vote on separate legislation that included only voter ID. That measure failed.
Republicans knew they did not have the votes to pass the budget bill because of disagreements over increased defense spending. Johnson told reporters that they would come back in September to vote on the budget bill with the SAVE America provisions.
“We had the discussion with the president, he agrees, don’t take the vote tonight. Just work diligently through August and September to do an actually better budget reconciliation bill,” Johnson said.
“We’re all satisfied with that. So, we’re not going to vote on the budget resolution tonigh,” he continued.
They attempted a final SAVE America effort and voted to amend a 2002 law, put forward by Sen. Jon Husted, R-Ohio, to require voter ID. However, it failed by eight votes.
“We did our best, left no stone unturned. I wish the outcome had been different, both as to adjournment and as to these votes. But this fight’s not over. We’re just getting started,” Lee said. (The Daily Signal) Read more here.

It grieves our spirits that the Save America Act did not pass but we thank You, Lord, for the conservative senators that worked so hard to get this much needed bill to pass that would make America's elections secure with no illegal voting. We come into agreement with Senator Lee's statement that "we're just getting started" and we decree that this bill will pass when the Senate comes back in September!
Lord, regarding the conservative senators that keep voting against this bill, we pray that You would visit them in the night hours, and cause the fear of the Lord to open their eyes to vote righteously. We pray, Father, for the Democratic senators and ask that You intervene among them, causing such division that they will cross over to vote what the American people have wanted with the Save America Act.
We pray for the refreshing of the minds as the senators pause for this summer break and when they return, let all ignorance be gone!

How to spot the Perseid meteor shower, a summer light show that promises to dazzle

NEW YORK (AP) — The Perseid summer light show is back — and viewing conditions are especially promising for the Northern Hemisphere.
The meteor shower's peak Wednesday night into Thursday morning coincides with a total solar eclipse across Spain, Iceland and Greenland and a six-planet parade — though the best time to view the fireballs will come after totality.
As many as 50 to 100 meteors per hour may be visible under ideal conditions, according to NASA. The American Meteor Society estimates 30 to 50 meteors per hour could be seen from rural regions.
Random meteors are visible in dark skies on any given night. Meteor showers tend to put on dazzling celestial shows and happen at predictable times every year when the Earth plows through trails of debris left behind by comets and, sometimes, asteroids. Those remnants collide with Earth’s atmosphere at extremely high speeds, producing streaks of light known as shooting stars.
The Perseids are debris from comet 109P/Swift-Tuttle, an icy ball that orbits the sun every 133 years and isn't scheduled for a return visit until 2125. Observations of this meteor shower date back over 2,000 years.
The Perseids are a perennial favorite because they tend to produce brilliant fireballs. Summer temperatures also make this shower popular.
“We don't have to suffer through a cold winter night to get a good view of meteors,” said astronomer Zach Vanderbosch with McDonald Observatory in Texas.
The moon will be in its new moon phase during the Perseids' peak, making viewing conditions even better.
“The moon is beautiful, but it’s such a diva,” said astronomer Aparna Venkatesan with the University of San Francisco. “New moon means we don’t have moonlight flooding the sky, and you tend to see way more meteors as a result.” (AP) Read More
