Pastor who preached entire Bible in 96 hours says witch converted after cursing him:
'We wanted you to die'

The Mississippi pastor who recently preached through the entire Bible for 96 consecutive hours says a young witch in Texas who attempted to curse him as he was preaching the Gospel from Romans became a Christian after her black magic backfired.
Pastor Matthew Olson of First Baptist Church of Sharon in Jones County, Mississippi, recounted to The Christian Post some of the physical struggles and spiritual opposition he faced when he set an unofficial world record for marathon speech last month, preaching continuously through Genesis to Revelation from May 30 to June 4.
During a video interview with CP in which he was joined by fellow Pastor Jonathan Strickler, Olson said he learned through the experience that "God allows hostility." He said he later learned that some of the pushback against him during his preaching included formal curses from a group of occultists, one of whom later reached out to him after she was baptized following her unusual experience.
"I have permission to share this story. She asked that she not be contacted about it, but about a week after the 96 hours wrapped up, I got a text from a young lady, college-age student named Lindsay, and I'll just summarize the story," said Olson. "You don't know me, but I've been trying to get a hold of you. I need you to know this: God used you to save me during the 96 hours," the girl reportedly told him. "I was a witch up until last week." Senate Confirms Todd Blanche as Attorney General

|
President Donald Trump’s nominee for attorney general, Todd Blanche, has been confirmed in a late-night vote in the Senate after a handful of fellow Republicans reconsidered their opposition.
Blanche was confirmed in a 50–49 vote in the early hours of Aug. 8, with Sens. Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) voting in opposition. The deciding vote was cast by Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.), who announced on Friday that he believed Blanche was the best option that Trump would put forward.
“I am deeply honored by the trust and confidence President Trump has placed in me to lead the Department of Justice as our great nation’s 88th Attorney General,” Blanche said in a statement on social media, adding that he’s grateful to the Senate “for staying late to complete this process.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Hegseth Rejects Media Report on US Missile Stockpile Concerns
|
|
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth on Aug. 4 rejected a CNN report that featured unnamed sources saying that U.S. military stockpiles of key missile interceptors had fallen to “dangerously low” levels amid the ongoing war with Iran.
CNN earlier reported that, according to sources, the U.S. military had used up nearly 80 percent of its missile interceptors since the war with Iran began in late February.The CNN report also alleged that the U.S. Army has exhausted “virtually all” of its long-range surface-to-air weapons in military operations against Tehran.
Hegseth took to social media to refute the report, calling it false news.“That banner is NOT TRUE, CNN. Shame on you,” the Pentagon chief said in a post on X. “We don’t hate the Fake News media enough.”
Hegseth was referring to a CNN on-screen banner that read: “Sources: U.S. has used nearly 80 [percent] of key missile interceptors in Iran war, top commanders warn stockpiles dangerously low.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Trump Makes Another Attempt To End Birthright Citizenship
|
|
President Donald Trump signed two executive orders Thursday aimed at cracking down on the abuse of birthright citizenship after the Supreme Court struck down his earlier attempt to end it.
The Supreme Court in June ruled against Trump’s earlier executive order seeking to deny citizenship to the children born to noncitizens on American soil. Administration officials have argued that the new proposed limits are permitted under the high court’s ruling.
“They’ve taken birthright citizenship and they’ve made a joke out of it,” Trump said during a signing event in the Oval Office on Thursday.
“I thought we would’ve won it at the Supreme Court, unfortunately we had a bad decision, very unfair decision,” he said. “Our country suffers because of it and we’re ending it a different way.”
The first executive order directs federal agencies to take steps aimed at preventing foreigners from exploiting birthright citizenship through birth tourism and certain surrogacy arrangements.
It also seeks to exempt children born to foreign government agents and individuals classified as “alien enemies” from automatic birthright citizenship for children born in U.S. territories.
Trump’s second executive order directs the State Department to deny tourist visas to foreigners who intend to travel to the United States to give birth for the purpose of securing American citizenship for their children. (Daily Wire) Read more here.

With numerous countries coming here with the intent to have their babies automatically become US citizens, the danger to this nation is real. Short of a constitutional amendment, we ask that this plan will work.

Lindsey Graham's final mission to punish Putin clears Senate after yearlong fight
|
|
It’s taken well over a year of stops, starts, promises and derailments, but the Senate has at last advanced a bone-crushing package of sanctions against Russia, capping off one of the late Sen. Lindsey Graham’s biggest fights.
The Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act sailed through the Senate on another colossal bipartisan vote and is now headed to the House. It has the backing of President Donald Trump, too.
It comes after personal lobbying from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy last week, who, hours after Graham’s memorial service in Washington, D.C., pleaded with lawmakers to put a check on Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"Today, President Zelenskyy is watching from Ukraine, and Putin is watching from Moscow," Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., said on the Senate floor. "I would like to think that Lindsey Graham is watching, too."
The bill focuses on kneecapping Putin’s war machine by targeting Moscow’s top financial driver: oil and gas sales.
It also extends sanction authority against Iran that hampers funding to the country’s weapons and energy sectors as the administration and negotiators abroad seek to find a long-lasting peace agreement for the war in the Middle East. (Fox News) Read more here.

1. Netanyahu rejects Trump’s 15-point Gaza plan, insists he can stand up to US president - Times of Israel
Israel “rejects” the Board of Peace Gaza disarmament roadmap, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday, pushing back against claims the country has accepted the US-backed proposal and saying that he has no issue with standing up to pressure from US President Donald Trump to accept the terms.
“I want to clarify here,” Netanyahu said at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting. “Israel rejects the 15-point document.”
The US-backed Board of Peace is trying to move forward with its roadmap for postwar Gaza, which Hamas has accepted, while calling on the US and other mediators to pressure Israel into agreement. The terror group has avoided the use of the term “disarmament,” saying instead that it agrees to hand over weapons to be stored under a US-backed Palestinian technocrat administration that would run affairs in Gaza under the supervision of the Board of Peace. 2. IDF report details daily Hamas violations of Trump's Gaza Plan - Israel Hayom
A week ago, the Board of Peace announced the start of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip as a preliminary step toward disarming Hamas and withdrawing Israel Defense Forces troops. But according to daily monitoring conducted by IDF forces on the ground since the announcement, Hamas has not stopped its activities for a moment.
Israel Hayom has learned that, at the request of Israel's political leadership, the IDF prepares a daily report detailing all Hamas violations recorded during the preceding 24 hours. Israel sends the report to Washington to demonstrate the gap between Hamas' public commitment to the agreement and its actions on the ground, where the terrorist organization continues its daily operations in the Strip while Israel is being asked to hold its fire.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the Cabinet on Sunday that Israel was not bound by the document because of the repeated violations. Netanyahu was apparently relying on IDF reports from inside the Gaza Strip, which are also being shared with US officials to build support for Israel's demand not to move ahead with implementation of the roadmap. 3. Netanyahu, Katz said to quietly okay reconstruction in IDF-controlled part of Gaza - Times of Israel
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz have quietly given the go-ahead for rehabilitation work to begin in southern Gaza, despite vowing that reconstruction of the badly damaged Strip would only take place once the Hamas terror group was disarmed, Army Radio reported Sunday.
The reconstruction work, which involves building infrastructure for the establishment of residential housing, is taking place in an area of eastern Rafah under Israel Defense Forces control, but near the Yellow Line that forms the frontier with Hamas.
According to the report, Netanyahu and Katz gave the green light two weeks ago, albeit without announcing the move, as the International Stabilization Force set to take control of parts of Gaza readied to deploy. (Read more)

4. Syria dismantles ISIS cell near Golan Heights, arrests 9 suspects

Syrian security forces arrested nine suspected ISIS members in Khan Arnabah in Quneitra Province near the Israeli border, breaking up a cell accused of gathering weapons, transporting explosives and moving operatives through the area.
Syrian internal security forces captured the group’s leader, Musab Khalil al-Sheikh, also known as “The Chinese,” during the operation. Authorities also seized weapons, ammunition and components used to make explosive devices.
The cell operated in an area adjacent to the demilitarized zone near the Golan Heights.
Its activities included handling logistics, transporting components for improvised explosive devices and facilitating the movement of ISIS operatives.
Security forces in Syria’s southern governorates have remained on heightened alert to prevent additional terrorist activity. (Read more)

For about 20 years, Joseph (Joe) J. Sitt, the chairman and CEO of the New York real estate firm Thor Equities, has been paying to restore Jewish graves in Syria, Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, and Turkey, along with ancient synagogues in those countries old enough to predate the destruction of the Second Temple. He rarely talks about it publicly. When I asked him why he does it, he answered with a question of his own.
“People always have respect for their parents’ grave and their grandparents’ grave,” he said. “But why should their great-grandparents’ grave be nothing to them? And why should the ruins of the Second Temple be more important than the synagogues of the same period or older?”

1. Church protesters could face tougher penalties under rare bipartisan crackdown - Fox News
There's a rare show of bipartisan unity in the House of Representatives this week, as lawmakers from opposite sides of the aisle come together to crack down on destructive protests targeting houses of worship.
Reps. Brad Knott, R-N.C., and Tom Suozzi, D-N.Y., are introducing a bill to make it a crime to knowingly disrupt or impede people from attending a religious service.
That includes demonstrations taking place within 100 feet "from any pedestrian or vehicular entryway of any house of worship, during the period beginning 1 hour before the start of and ending 1 hour after the conclusion of a scheduled religious service," according to legislative text obtained by Fox News Digital.
A violation of those guidelines would carry a $2,500 civil fine on the first offense, a $5,000 penalty on the second offense, and $10,000 for a third.
The bill does carve out limitations, however, such as demonstrations that are taking place with a federal, state, or local government-issued permit.
The text's language also specifically classifies disruptions based on things like volume, duration, and impact, rather than the content of speech — meaning the First Amendment is still protected. (Read more)

2. Democrat Loses Big In Comeback Attempt - IJR
Former Rep. Cori Bush tried to stage a political comeback in Missouri on Tuesday.
Instead, voters handed her an even bigger defeat than the one she suffered two years ago.
With 99 percent of ballots counted Wednesday morning, incumbent Democratic Rep. Wesley Bell held 59.2 percent of the vote to Bush’s 36.9 percent. The Associated Press called the race Tuesday night.
That is not a close loss.
That is voters checking the return label and sending the package back.
Because Missouri’s 1st Congressional District leans heavily Democratic, Bell is now strongly positioned to win another term. Bush, meanwhile, is left to explain how her promised political revenge tour turned into a 22-point demolition. (Read more)

3. Nuclear experts urge Trump not to let Iran steer talks away from regime's atomic threat- Fox News
As negotiations continue over the Strait of Hormuz experts are urging the Trump administration to keep their eye on the ball when it comes to the Iranian nuclear program.
On Wednesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reacted to news of reported comments from IRGC chief Ahmad Vahidi, warning that Israel would continue preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, with or without a diplomatic agreement.
The remarks in question by Vahidi, which were first seemed to be reported in 2025 in an interview with an Iranian-regime-linked outlet, went viral on Wednesday, but after further investigation they seem to have come from an interview when he was interior minister and an adviser to the IRGC.
He reportedly told ILNA that the country's official line was that building a bomb was not on the table but "iran’s hand is open…Iran can take actions it has not taken until now," in an account published by Khabar online, and shared with Fox News Digital. (Read more)

4. Russia could attack NATO, allied country as early as this fall, US intelligence warns- New York Post
Russian President Vladimir Putin may test the NATO alliance’s strength with an attack on an allied country as early as fall — including a possible land invasion, according to new US intelligence reports.
The reports on the potential of a limited assault, which could range from a cyber attack to a military incursion, come as the US deals with a shortage of critical munitions it would need to respond to such an attack from Russia or China, US officials told the Wall Street Journal.
An attack is estimated to happen between this fall and 2029, the intelligence assessment warned.
Putin’s goal of an attack on a NATO nation is to force the US’s hand and fracture the 77-year-old alliance.
“The question mark is how the United States would respond in that case,” Heather Conley, senior fellow with the American Enterprise Institute, told the Journal about the possibility of a Russian incursion. (Read more here)

5. EXCLUSIVE: Oversight Project sues to block Maryland Democrats’ redistricting measure backed by Gov Moore – Fox
A new lawsuit set to be filed in Maryland seeks to block a redistricting amendment backed by Democrat Gov. Wes Moore from appearing on the November ballot, arguing state officials advanced the measure after the state's own legislative analysts concluded the statutory deadline for certifying ballot questions had already passed.
The complaint, filed Thursday night in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court by the conservative watchdog group Oversight Project and reviewed by Fox News Digital, argues HB 2100 could not lawfully reach voters because Maryland's July 1 deadline for certifying statewide ballot questions expired more than a month before lawmakers convened a special session to approve the proposal.
The Oversight Project, which filed the lawsuit with Republican lawmakers, argues approval of the amendment could pave the way for an 8-0 Democratic congressional delegation.

6. Marsha Blackburn wins Republican nomination for Tennessee governor- Just The News
Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn, won the Republican nomination Thursday night for Tennessee governor, defeating Tennessee GOP Rep. John Rose for the party's nomination.
Blackburn is running to replace Republican Gov. Bill Lee who is term limited. Her victory comes exactly one year after she announced her gubernatorial campaign.
The senator defeated Rose 43.9% to 32.7%, while state Rep. Monty Fritts came in third with 23.3% of the vote, according to the Associated Press.
Blackburn was only reelected to the Senate in 2024, meaning her full-term is not up until 2031. But if Blackburn wins in November, Lee will select a replacement to fill the seat until the state's next general election. (Read more)

Trump says White House ballroom ruling jeopardizes lives of future presidents,
vows Supreme Court appeal

After a panel of federal judges ordered a halt to construction on the White House ballroom, President Donald Trump said he will immediately appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
In a Truth Social post Friday, Trump decried the 2-1 decision from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit as "horrendous, politically motivated, and unlawful."
"The Circuit Court’s decision, which is totally wrong on the vital subject of STANDING, of which the plaintiff has none, severely jeopardizes the lives and welfare of the people who work, and will be working, at the White House — including all future Presidents of the United States, and their families, as well as the lives of all those visiting, such as Heads of State and other Dignitaries, and all Americans who wish to visit the historic, beautiful Executive Mansion," Trump wrote in the post.
He also accused the court of refusing to acknowledge that the ballroom, which he said is being built ahead of schedule and under budget, "is a Gift from President Trump and Great Patriots of the United States of America." (Fox News) Read more here.

Lord, we pray that this ruling will be reversed by the Supreme Court. All of the work has already started and the yard is torn up, so it cannot be put back into its original condition. This ballroom has been a necessity for decades. It is reportedly under budget and not funded by taxpayers, so we ask that it be allowed to proceed.

FBI Foiled 715 Planned Terror Attacks Last Year: Director Kash Patel
|
|
|
The FBI prevented 715 planned terror attacks on U.S. soil last year, said Kash Patel, agency director. In an exclusive interview with Epoch Times senior editor Jan Jekielek, which will air on Aug. 8, Patel shared the previously unreported number of foiled attacks that stemmed from ISIS and other terrorist-affiliated organizations, as well as details from some of those takedowns.
“In December of last year, the FBI shut down four terrorist attacks in 30 days,” he said. “That’s a pretty monumental achievement, especially during the holidays, but it’s because we were resourced and backed by the White House and the administration to get these sort of achievements.” Those four attacks were set to take place in Southern California, Texas, Florida, and New York state, Patel said.
Suspects in those unrelated instances all planned to attack places of worship, schools, businesses, or “Americans wherever they could,” he said. “Before these individuals, who wanted to disrupt America’s holidays last year, literally, and kill dozens, if not hundreds, of people, and cause a mass casualty event, we went in and took them all down,” Patel said.
The only similarity among the four separate operations was the fact that each had the same goal, the FBI director said: to target and kill Americans.
Regarding the 715 foiled terror plots last year, he said he had a few takeaways. Adversaries are continuously looking to attack on American soil, using illegal immigrants, sympathetic U.S. citizens, and foreign nationals, he said, noting that FBI agents must practice the perfect mix of patience and action.“We want to go out at the right time to dismantle the entire criminal enterprise, not just a couple of them,” Patel said. “So it’s a balance.”
The FBI director stressed how quickly his agents must act sometimes to prevent tragedy but said that being able to preserve, collect, and present evidence in a lawful manner to carry out a successful prosecution is also top of mind.
To keep up with the adversaries’ use of ever-advancing technology, Patel said his agency uses sophisticated technology and methods to lawfully surveil, monitor, and detect. Collaboration with prosecutors and other agencies, state and local included, to obtain warrants is crucial in staying ahead of suspected terrorists and stopping them before they carry out their attack.
All the individuals involved in the terror plots from last December in California, Texas, Florida, and New York are “on their way to federal prison for a very long time,” Patel said.

The Senate Permanent Committee on Investigations exposed COVID-19 vaccine injuries long "masked" in government surveillance databases, allegedly at the behest of the Biden administration. Thanks to the Trump administration's drug regulators, the panel led by Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., has a new opportunity to investigate vaccine safety.
Moderna announced late Wednesday that the Food and Drug Administration approved its mRNA flu vaccine, the first ever, despite the drugmaker purportedly refusing to test it against a placebo and its own research finding little benefit over a standard licensed flu shot and a worse safety profile. One pharmacologist called the results "not breathtaking."
MFlusiva, as Moderna calls the new product, requires 5,000 jabs to prevent one additional hospitalization over the old technology, based on an absolute difference of four hospitalizations between matched groups of 20,000 patients. Its rate of severe adverse reactions – "Grade 3" – is 6.4%, compared to 1% for an old flu shot.
The company's Omicron-specific COVID vaccine three years ago also had an unusually high rate of Grade 3 events, 25%, which the National Institutes of Health defines as "incapacitating; unable to perform usual activities; requires absenteeism or bed rest."

Trump administration seeks to end problematic organ procurement program,
placing a premium on life

On Wednesday, the Trump administration, via the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), announced that it is shuttering an organ procurement program that had a record of extracting organs from patients who still showed signs of life.
"Under the Biden administration, HHS failed to hold organizations accountable when serious patient concerns emerged. Today we are restoring that accountability. We will not tolerate organizations that compromise patient safety or betray the trust of donors or their families," HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. said on Wednesday.
Throughout his time in office, Trump has prioritized social issues related to life through amended abortion policies, medical programs like the Right to Try Act, and other legislative efforts to respect the sanctity of life from birth to death. The latest efforts by HHS demonstrate a continued effort to preserve life in individuals who are organ donors.
Decertification
HHS now begins the decertification of Network for Hope, the federally designated organ procurement organization serving nearly 7 million people across Kentucky and parts of Indiana, Ohio and West Virginia, after multiple federal reviews documented persistent patient-safety failures.
Between 2021 and 2024, HHS’s Health Resources and Services Administration said it examined 351 cases in which organ donation was authorized but not completed and found abnormalities in 103 of them (29.3 percent), including 73 patients who showed signs of neurological incompatibility with organ donation.
More alarming, some potential donors may not have been deceased when the procurement process was initiated. At Kennedy's announcement, a young man was present who, according to Kennedy, was on the operating table with organ extraction orders, but the physicians attending to him said they perceived that he was still alive and stopped the removal surgery, a nightmarish scenario that feeds a long-held fear about organ donation. Lord, thank You for this decision. While many of Your people are listed as organ donors, the abuses by the industry are horrific. We pray that you will realign their focus, and bring about a move of repentance for those who have harmed people who simply wanted to help others by being on the lists.

Ghostly outline of long-lost garden at Winston Churchill's birthplace revealed in aerial photos

Sweltering heat in the United Kingdom has revealed the remains of a long-lost 18th-century garden at a major tourist attraction.
Aerial photos show the outline of the 300-year-old formal garden at Blenheim Palace, an estate about eight miles northwest of Oxford, England, news agency SWNS reported.
Blenheim Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built between 1705 and 1722, is famously the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, as well as the ancestral home of the Dukes of Marlborough.
The outline was revealed during the latest heat wave this summer after prolonged dry weather created parch marks, or dry patches in the grass, across the grounds.
A spokesperson from Blenheim Palace told Fox News Digital the marks will be visible "until cooler temperatures arrive and sufficient rain falls to green up the shallow-rooted grass."
"There isn't currently any rain in the forecast for the next few weeks, so it will be visible for a while yet," the representative added.
