Freed missionary pilot Kevin Rideout thanks praying Christians as he meets Trump at White House
Freed missionary pilot Kevin Rideout and his wife, Krista, thanked President Donald Trump and praying Christians on Friday as they met with the president at the White House, 10 months after Rideout was abducted in Niger.

“Kevin Rideout, a brave Christian missionary, was held hostage by ISIS Jihadists for ten months! We never leave Americans behind, unlike Sleepy Joe and Obama, because we are America First,” Trump said in a statement Saturday, a day after meeting with Rideout, his family and senior administration officials.

“Today I invited Kevin, his lovely wife, father, and beautiful children, to the White House to see the Oval Office, and meet our dedicated hostage recovery team. Welcome back home Kevin — It was an Honor to help you!”

The couple also thanked the U.S. government and the Christians who prayed for Rideout’s release.
“We are grateful to be together again as a family. After these many months apart, there are few words adequate to express what it means simply to be reunited,” they said in a statement released by Serving In Mission (SIM), where Rideout has worked for 20 years.

“We are profoundly thankful to the United States government and to all those who worked tirelessly for Kevin’s safe release, and to SIM for its steadfast care and support throughout this long season. We are also grateful for our SIM family around the world, and for the countless friends, churches, and brothers and sisters in Christ who faithfully petitioned the Lord for Kevin’s protection and release,” they added. They also thanked their relatives and said Scripture, particularly Deuteronomy 31:6, carried them through the ordeal. (Christian Post) Read More Here >
Father, we thank You for the power of Scripture and the testimony of Kevin Rideout and his family having tangible experiences with the truth of Your holy Word.  You promise to 'never leave nor forsake us' and Rideout found comfort in that promise during his captivity.  We are grateful for President Trump's commitment to leave no man behind, especially any American hostage held by a foreign government. Continue to bless our brother in Christ as he reunites with his family. Place a blood-covering over President Trump and his extended family for all his efforts, as he boldly stands for 'America First' and fights to keep citizens protected and secure. By the Blood of the Lamb we pray- Amen and Amen.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." (Deuteronomy 31:6)

Trump Declares National Emergency to Secure US Power Grid From Foreign Cyber Security Threats
President Donald Trump declared a national emergency Aug. 26 to secure the national power grid, citing unusual and extraordinary foreign cyber and security threats.

The order prohibits certain foreign-made bulk-power system electric equipment, including software, that poses cybersecurity or operational risks, from being purchased or installed in the United States.

“Certain foreign actors are increasingly creating and exploiting vulnerabilities in the United States bulk-power system, which provides the electricity that supports our national defense, vital emergency services, critical infrastructure, and economy,” Trump said in the order.
The order focuses on transactions with foreign nationals that pose the risk of sabotage, unauthorized access, or other disruption, an “undue risk of catastrophic effects on the security or resiliency of U.S. critical infrastructure, or an unacceptable risk to the security of the U.S.” (The Epoch Times) Read more
Abba, the US needs Your help.  The enemy is working through our enemies to try and bring down our electrical grid, and we need Your guidance in finding ways to protect it.  Holy Spirit, send out Your warrior angels to find and uncover all plans of the enemy concerning our grid, shine Your light on each plan so our engineers, technicians and internet groups will know exactly what to do to ensure these plans never come to pass.  We decree and declare that God's plans for our power grid and nation are solid, protected and cannot be changed, in the name Yahweh Palet, The Lord Our Deliverer.

"The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my
deliverer; my God is my rock, in
whom I take refuge, my shield and the
horn or my salvation, my stronghold."

US--Saudi Nuclear Deal Hits Congress for Review, Energy Secretary Says
U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright said on Aug. 26 that the nuclear cooperation agreement signed between Washington and Riyadh is now in Congress for review.

“I can absolutely confirm that the agreement has been sent to Congress,” he told reporters during a press conference in Washington.
Wright hailed the deal as a “great step forward” for U.S.–Saudi relations and a boost to revive the U.S. nuclear energy industry.
On July 22, the administration announced it had signed a 30-year, multi-billion-dollar partnership agreement to develop the kingdom’s nuclear infrastructure.

The 123 Agreement, named after Section 123 of the U.S. Atomic Energy Act, is designed to allow American companies to play a key role in Saudi Arabia’s civilian nuclear sector while limiting Russian and Chinese influence.

Some Democratic lawmakers, however, voiced strong opposition to the deal, stating that domestic uranium enrichment without strict safeguards could spark a Middle East arms race and give Riyadh a path to develop nuclear weapons. (The Epoch Times) Read more
Abba, this agreement covers many things that we cannot see, do not know about, but You do.  We put this nuclear deal with Saudi Arabia into Your hands and ask for Your perfect will to be done.  Holy Spirit, we ask You to move on the hearts of all who in the House and Senate will be voting on this agreement, give them wisdom, knowledge and understanding to make righteous, wise decisions.  Bring their hearts into alignment with Yours ensuring the very best decision.  We ask this in the name El Roi, The God Who Sees everything.

Netanyahu Says he Told Trump to "Tighten the Siege' on Iran Ahead of Fresh Sanctions
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in footage broadcast Wednesday that he urged US President Donald Trump to consider tightening the “siege” on Iran during their July meeting in Washington, and cautioned that it would be impossible to make a deal with Tehran, calling the regime’s leaders “savages.”

Netanyahu linked his proposal to the expanded sanctions campaign threatened by the United States this week. The new measures, detailed by US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, target Iran’s digital assets and technology, gold, aviation and shipping sectors, with secondary sanctions potentially affecting entities in the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, China, Singapore and Europe transporting Iranian oil.

Netanyahu said he and Trump discussed three possible approaches to Iran during their White House meeting — diplomacy, military action and increasing pressure on Tehran — while expressing doubt that an agreement could be reached with what he called “those savages” in Iran.
“I spoke with President Trump several weeks ago at the White House, in the Oval Office. We discussed three options [against Iran],” Netanyahu said in a video released by his office from a Hebrew-language speech at an event in Jerusalem on Tuesday night. (Times of Israel) Read more
Abba, we give You praise and thanks that You know the beginning from the end of this war in Iran.  We know Your heart breaks for the Iranian people who did not ask for this government, we ask for Your help to break the demonic hold the enemy has over them.  Father God, we ask You to speak to Your son, Donald, lay out strategies and the tactical steps to be taken, make each step one that will do great damage to the IRGC's infrastructure and weapons.  Reveal where missile launchers have been rebuilt or moved, show Secretary of War, Hegseth where new weapons are being stored and anything that has changed in their nuclear armaments.  Jesus, we need Your Power to break the hold that The Prince of Persia has had and still has over this region, we ask Holy Spirit  to send Michael to wage war in the heavenlies as our military wages war on earth.  We ask all of this in the name Yahweh Sabaoth, The Lord Of Hosts, the God who has multitudes of men and angels listening for His command.

Meta Agrees to Pay $18 Billion in Social Media Addiction Settlements: What to Know
In a move that may send ripples through the tech industry for years to come, Meta Platforms reached a historic multibillion-dollar settlement with 47 U.S. states, territories, and the District of Columbia, agreeing to overhaul its services after accusations of endangering and addicting children.

The landmark Aug. 26 agreement settles a series of lawsuits brought against the Facebook and Instagram parent company, accusing it of intentionally designing its platforms to be addictive, knowingly exposing children to mental harms, and deliberately misleading the public about the safety of its products.

Meta will pay $17.1 billion to settle the lawsuits brought by the states and territories, as well as $1 billion to settle a separate lawsuit brought by Texas.

Beyond the financial payout, Meta has agreed to implement strict time limits for children, including “nighttime blocks,” as well as robust age-verification protocols, content controls, and limits on features such as beauty filters and visible “like” tallies, among other changes.
Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser said the agreement goes “well beyond what any court has ordered or is likely to order.” (The Epoch Times) Read more
Abba, we give You high praise and glory for the settlement by META concerning the harm done to children who have been using their platforms, Facebook and Instagram.  We so appreciate what You brought about in the changes that Meta has agreed to make like setting  limits on how long kids can be "on line", and what sites they can    access at their age.

We ask Holy Spirit to send out angels to speak to the minds and hearts of leadership at Snapchat, TikTok and YouTube, bring each into agreement with Your intentions for kids' exposure to the internet.  We ask this in the name Yahweh Rohi, The Lord Our Shepherd.

But Jesus said, "Let the little children come
to Me, and do not forbid them; for of
such is the kingdom of heaven."

FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Israel turns to naval drones as Iran war exposes maritime vulnerabilities - YNET News

Israel is moving to expand its naval fleet and accelerate investment in autonomous vessels as threats from Iran and its regional allies increasingly target offshore infrastructure and shipping routes, Bloomberg reported.

Israeli officials told Bloomberg that the country has concluded it needs a larger navy after years in which the maritime arm received less attention than the air force, ground forces and intelligence services. In 2024, the Defense Ministry announced plans to order five new missile ships for about $780 million to replace aging vessels.

The push is also focused on unmanned systems. Yaron Sarig, head of the AI and Autonomy Program Executive Office at the Defense Ministry’s Directorate of Defense Research and Development, confirmed to Bloomberg that the navy is increasing investment in autonomous sea drones, though he did not disclose budget figures.

2. IDF reverses course on targeted killings in Gaza, loosening restrictions imposed after Kushner meeting - World Israel News

Israel has loosened restrictions on targeted strikes against Hamas operatives in the Gaza Strip, allowing the head of the IDF Southern Command to once again approve attacks without requiring Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir’s authorization in every case, according to a new report.

The change reverses a policy adopted several weeks ago under which virtually every non-immediate strike in Gaza had to receive Zamir’s approval, a restriction intended to avoid disrupting US-led diplomatic efforts to disarm Hamas and advance President Donald Trump’s postwar plan for the territory.

Israel Hayom reported Thursday that the previous restrictions were imposed at the request of Israel’s political leadership and the US-backed Board of Peace as its high representative, Nikolay Mladenov, and other officials attempted to advance negotiations. (Read more)

3. IDF chief orders major bolstering of troops in West Bank due to escalated tensions - Times of Israel

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir said Thursday morning that he had ordered a major bolstering of troops in the West Bank in light of recent tensions in the territory, as well as demanding that the treasury supply the military with additional funds.

“Many challenges lie ahead of us. We are advancing battle procedures on all fronts, from Iran and Lebanon to Gaza, and are on high alert in the face of multi-front volatility,” he said during an assessment with the Israel Defense Forces’ top brass.

Zamir said that because of the tensions in the West Bank and the upcoming Jewish holiday period, he was ordering the headquarters of a standing army division to be put on standby to reinforce troops in the area if required. A standing army division normally has tens of thousands of troops. (Read more)

4. IDF launches strikes on Hezbollah targets in Southern Lebanon - JNS

The Israel Defense Forces on Thursday afternoon commenced a wave of strikes on Hezbollah terrorist targets in Southern Lebanon, the military confirmed to JNS.

No further details were provided.

The announcement came shortly after the IDF confirmed that the Iranian-backed terror group launched two explosive drones at soldiers operating inside the security zone in southeastern Lebanon. There were no casualties among Israeli forces.

“The IDF will not allow the Hezbollah terrorist organization to operate against IDF soldiers in the security zone,” it stated. “The IDF is currently operating and will continue to act with determination against Hezbollah’s repeated attempts to harm IDF soldiers.” (Read more)

5. Ofer Winter makes his position clear: We will recommend only Netanyahu
- Israel National News

Ofer Winter, chairman of the Amcha Yisrael party and a brigadier general in the reserves, made clear on Thursday that his party will recommend Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for prime minister. He made the comments after, he said, being repeatedly asked whether he was “with Bibi or not with Bibi."

Winter began by addressing the support his party has received since its launch. “We are receiving tremendous support and enthusiasm - thank you very much, the People of Israel. And we have only just begun," he said.

He then sought to clarify his position toward Netanyahu and his party’s political alignment. “We don’t work for any individual, only for the people of Israel." He immediately added: “We are part of the right-wing camp. The leader of the right-wing camp is Netanyahu, and he is the only one we will recommend." (Read more)

1. Chinese Hackers Broke into Justice Department, NASA, Federal Reserve, Senate, others, DOJ says – Just the News

The Justice Department said Wednesday it had seized internet domains used by two Chinese hacking platforms to hack into the agency as well as NASA, the Federal Reserve, the Senate and other sensitive government agencies.

The two platformers were called "QScan" and "QTRouter," the DOJ said
The state-sponsored group known as "QTFY," which the DOJ said was employed by China-based Nanjing Xinjiuwei Network Technology Company, created and operated the platforms.
The group offered tools that allowed malicious actors to engage in computer intrusion activities while concealing the hackers' country of origin, the DOJ said.

Other federal agencies that were victims of QTFY computer intrusion activity were the Energy Department, Department of Health and Human Services and National Institutes of Health, according to the DOJ.
"State-sponsored malicious hackers preying on America’s critical infrastructure will be stopped and prosecuted. We are here to ensure security for the American people and will use every tool we have to keep that promise,” Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a statement. Read more
Lord God,

We thank You that these malicious Chinese hackers that breached our sensitive governmental agencies including the Senate, Federal Reserve, NASA and others have been exposed and will be brought to justice. Father, we pray for Your wisdom and discernment to overflow in our governmental agencies so that these computer intrusions will never happen again. Lord, we pray that these Chinese state sponsored groups causing security problems will be destroyed now by Your mighty hand!

We pray blessings over Attorney General Todd Blanche as he oversees America's security and we ask for supernatural abilities to find all wickedness lurking in the darkness. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen and Amen.

"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." (John 1:5)

2. How Israel became a tech powerhouse: The overlooked forces behind the Start-Up Nation – AllIsraelNews

Israel’s technology sector is often associated with the IDF, cybersecurity and the explosive growth of startups in recent decades.
But according to technology historian Meir Valman, the story began much earlier – and the forces that shaped it were more diverse than the familiar “Start-Up Nation” narrative suggests.
“The origins” of Israeli high tech, Valman explains on the IsraelTech podcast, reach back to the period before the establishment of the State of Israel.

“And where I start from, and this is quite surprising to many people, is long before the creation of the state of Israel with the universities, the universities, meaning the Technion Hebrew University and the Weitzman Institute, all of which were founded long before 1948,” Valman explains to the podcast host, Yoel Israel, founder and CEO of Israel Tech.
The IDF would eventually become one of Israel’s most important technology incubators, but Valman stresses that this was a gradual development. In Israel’s early decades, universities played a particularly important role in fields such as semiconductors and the life sciences. The IDF’s technological units became a major factor only later, while programs such as Mamram helped train a new generation of computer professionals. Read more

El Shaddai,

Even before time began and before the establishment of the State of Israel, You prepared Your people to be a mighty people and a mighty Nation. Father, we pray for continued excellence in all high tech agencies in Israel and we pray, Lord, for Your continued protection over Israel and everything that pertains to Your people and believe that You have only begun to show the greatness of the love You have for Your people.

Lord, as we await Your coming we will keep our eyes focused on Israel as we anticipate the mighty works that will be done by Your people who are called by Your name. We give You honor as we humbly offer this prayer. In Jesus' name. Amen.

"And I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing." (Genesis 12:2)

3. Trump Admin Suspends ALL Immigrant Visa Application Interviews, Regardless of Country of Origin – Western Journal

President Donald Trump’s State Department has put a pause on a crucial step in the U.S. immigrant visa process.

Visa applicants’ interviews with American officials have been called off worldwide to allow “in-depth training” at U.S. embassies and consulates to better prepare personnel to screen out applicants who are likely to be a drain on U.S. taxpayers, the Financial Times reported Tuesday.
Since the interview is a pivotal point near the end of the application process, the move effectively suspends applications where they stand.
The goal is to ensure that aspiring immigrants do not become a “public charge” when reaching the U.S. — getting taxpayer-funded benefits rather than making their own living.

Holy God,

We rejoice over this article that President Trump has suspended all immigrant Visa application interviews worldwide! Lord, we pray that as our U.S embassies and consulates receive more 'in depth' training, they will be better equipped to keep aspiring immigrants from becoming a "public charge" when reaching the U.S. and receiving tax payer funded benefits.

Father, we pray also, that those who seek to live in America would have to live and abide by our Constitution and have to take classes on what it says. Lord, we pray that those who worship foreign gods and cause division would not be allowed into our nation.

In the name of Jesus, we offer this prayer, Amen and Amen.

'If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand." (Mark 3:25)
4. Nepal flood death toll surges as 65 Americans listed among over 1,000 people still missing - CBS News

Rescue teams were searching for hundreds of missing people along the Nepal-China border Thursday after a catastrophic, deadly torrent of floods and mud swept through several communities a day earlier following a glacial collapse. The head of Nepal's tourism board told CBS News Thursday that 65 U.S. nationals were among those missing in the wake of the disaster.

The Nepal Police reported at least 360 people dead and more than 1,400 are missing in Nepal and Tibet, an autonomous region of China.

Local reports cited the National Emergency Operation Center as saying Thursday the missing included 113 Nepali tourists, 85 security personnel from the army and police as well as 161 residents, as authorities ramped up operations in the worst-affected districts of Nuwakot and Rasuwa. (Read more)

Father God, as we read this report, we are witnessing yet another instance of the end-tine disasters that are falling upon us now. We ask that Your grace would be with those who are now rescuing the victims of these floods, and to comfort those whoh have lost loved ones in this disaster. In Your Name, Abba, we offer this prayer, amen and amen.

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come..." (2 Timothy 3:1)
5. Turkey Prepares for ‘Crisis, Tension, and War’ as Ankara Watches Israel-Greece Military Partnership Grow - The Algemeiner

With Israel and Greece moving toward increasingly close military cooperation, Turkey is preparing for scenarios ranging from escalating confrontation to outright war, as Ankara assesses the partnership’s growing strategic implications and its potential to dramatically reshape the balance of power in the region, according to an official Turkish government document.

Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler said in a letter to a lawmaker in the country’s parliament dated Aug. 10 that preparations for “possible crisis, tension, and war” in the surrounding region are continuing in close coordination among all relevant state institutions.

In a striking shift in Ankara’s strategic planning, Güler linked Turkey’s preparations for a potential war to growing concerns over Greece’s expanding military ties with Israel, which Turkish officials are closely watching as a challenge to the country’s security and interests in the Aegean and eastern Mediterranean.

Even without identifying specific agencies or resources, Güler’s language suggests that the preparations extend beyond the military, with multiple state institutions involved in planning for a potentially broad national response to what Ankara appears to view as an increasingly challenging security environment. (Read more)

Father God, as Your watchmen on the wall, who continually are praying for the peace of Jerusalem, we are carefully watching the developments in this part of the Middle East. We do praise You, Holy One, that Greece is fully supporting the nation of Israel, and we ask that You would soften the hearts of Turkey's leaders as they shift their own strategy to accommodate this new alliance. Thank You, O Lord, for hearing our prayers, amen and amen.

"Yet I have chosen Jerusalem, that My name may be there . . ." (2 Chronicles 6:6)
6. Trump directs political team to set aside some funds for midterm ads focused on his record - Washington Examiner

President Donald Trump has reportedly directed his top aides to earmark some of his campaign war chest for 2026 midterm ads focusing on his achievements in office, a potentially risky strategy given the president’s low polling numbers.

Trump reportedly told the aides to comb through his remarks to find clips of him talking about how, on his watch, the stock market has hit multiple all-time highs, the U.S. southern border has been secured, and how his tariffs are driving an increase in domestic manufacturing.

“Go look at the clips,” the president reportedly told the team. “I cite accomplishments all the time.” (Read more)

Lord God, we do ask that You would move upon the hearts of the media to report data in truth about President Trump's leadership record. On his watch, the stock market has hit multiple all-time highs, the U.S. southern border has been secured, and his tariffs are driving an increase in domestic manufacturing. We ask that "the fourth estate" - the media - would report all political news with accuracy so that our citizens will vote accordingly at the upcoming midterm elections. Amen!

But those who deal truthfully are His delight.

Has the Democratic Party Gone Extreme

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, August 27, 2026

Wisconsin Democrats narrowly avoided nominating an openly democratic-socialist candidate for governor, but perhaps “avoided” deserves an asterisk. Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley defeated State Rep. Francesca Hong by less than one percentage point of over 780,000 votes cast. That’s a razor thin margin over Hong, who openly embraces democratic socialism and previously advocated defunding police, abolishing ICE and even abolishing the U.S. Senate. The national media quickly portrayed Crowley’s victory as the Democratic establishment stopping the socialist insurgency. Crowley was the “moderate.” Hong was the socialist. Socialism defeated. Democratic moderation restored. Not so fast.

Crowley rejects the socialist label and campaigns as a pragmatic Democrat. Yet what constitutes a “moderate” Democrat in 2026? Crowley’s own platform proposes opening BadgerCare enrollment to any household that wants it, with government subsidies and sliding-scale premiums. He proposes guaranteeing every family with a child under five a subsidized childcare slot, with costs capped at seven percent of household income and taxpayers covering the rest. He supports universal taxpayer-funded pre-K, increasing government housing assistance, expanding Housing First statewide, raising Wisconsin’s minimum wage to $15 immediately and $20 by 2030, repealing Act 10, restoring full collective bargaining for public employees and increasing government investment in public education. He says he’s not socialist? Really? Read More

Divers uncover mysterious shipwreck loaded with ancient cargo lost for 2,400 years

Divers investigating waters off a Greek island have discovered a roughly 2,400-year-old shipwreck carrying hundreds of ancient amphorae.

The discovery was announced this summer by Greece's Ministry of Culture.

In the translated press release, officials said a "private individual" tipped them off to the wreck, which was located in the waters off Andros, an island in Greece's Cyclades.

The shipwreck was found at a depth of between 128 and 144 feet underwater, officials said, and its cargo was made up of hundreds of "pointed-bottom commercial amphorae."

An initial count placed the number of amphorae at roughly 600 to 650, according to officials.

Underwater photos show the ancient artifacts encrusted with marine growth and scattered across the seafloor.

Amphorae, or ceramic storage jars, were widely used in the ancient world to transport goods ranging from wine and olive oil to grain and other foodstuffs.

Officials have not disclosed what the amphorae, which date to the late fifth and early fourth centuries B.C., may have contained.

Archaeologists identified three distinct types: Mende, Peparethos and Solokha 2.

Archaeologists also discovered part of a lead anchor stock and several stones that may have been used as ballast to help stabilize the vessel.

Officials said the discovery "adds to our knowledge of trade and navigation during the Late Classical period." (Fox News) Read More
