'Packed and Overflowing':
Fraternity, Sorority Members Transformed in Bible Study Spike at Clemson
|
|
The sights and sounds of campus life at Clemson University are familiar from students rushing to and from class to what's becoming a new scene on many college campuses. Frat houses, long known for alcohol-fueled parties, are seeing a surge in interest from fraternity and sorority members wanting to explore their faith. "My eyes being open to my faith have driven me to the point where I've found purpose in Jesus Christ," said Alex Osburn, member of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity.
Bo Morris of Kappa Sigma and Greek InterVarsity President at Clemson said told CBN News, "We're here every week learning scripture and having life conversations about what Christ is doing in our lives. We've had everything from helping a girl get her first Bible to talking to girls about leading in the future," explained Mallory Sickles of Pi Beta Phi sorority.
"Being able to walk through scripture and also open discussion for similar struggles and issues and sins and things we're all dealing with has been unbelievable," said Jones DesChamps of Kappa Sigma fraternity.
Greek InterVarsity, a campus ministry that aims to see Greek students transformed by the gospel, has seen a 43 percent increase in participation over the last school year. (CBN) Read More and Watch Video Here

Abba, we celebrate the spiritual hunger that is exploding among fraternities and sororities on college campuses! Raise leaders to facilitate Bible studies and to mentor students who have surrendered their lives to Christ. Bless the Greek InterVarsity ministry in the equipping of chapters across the country to prepare students for leadership in Bible studies and sharing the Gospel. Lord we REJOICE over what you are doing among college campuses for the glory of Jesus Christ. We declare a growing thirst for Your holy Word and an over-flowing harvest of surrendered souls called into the Kingdom of God! By the powerful Blood of Yeshua, we pray-Amen and Amen.

Susie Wiles Says Trump to Campaign ‘Like It’s 2024’ for Republicans in Midterms
|
|
White House chief of staff Susie Wiles said President Donald Trump will be campaigning frequently ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, coming weeks after Democrats won in several statewide elections.
“Typically, in the midterms, it’s not about who’s sitting at the White House. You localize the election, and you keep the federal officials out of it,” Wiles told “The Mom View,” in an interview uploaded to YouTube on Dec. 8.
Wiles suggested that Republicans may face headwinds when Trump is “not on the ballot and not active,” adding: “I haven’t quite broken it to him yet, but he’s going to campaign like it’s 2024 again.”
Republicans posted losses in the gubernatorial elections in New Jersey and Virginia in November, while the GOP candidate underperformed Trump in Tennessee’s Seventh Congressional District during the Dec. 2 special election.
Wiles, who helped manage Trump’s 2024 campaign, said that most administrations try to localize midterm elections and keep the president out of the race but that she intends to do the opposite.
“We’re actually going to turn that on its head,” Wiles said, “and put him on the ballot because so many of those low-propensity voters are Trump voters.”
Ahead of the November elections, Trump was frequently traveling overseas on foreign policy trips. On Dec. 9, Trump is traveling to Pennsylvania to tout his administration’s policies regarding lowering the cost of goods.
Trump is holding his rally in a congressional district held by freshman Rep. Rob Bresnahan (R-Pa.), who will likely be targeted by Democrats after he won his 2024 race by about 1.5 percentage points, among the nation’s closest. Scranton, Pennsylvania, Mayor Paige Cognetti, a Democrat, is running for the nomination to challenge him.
“What you have to understand, the word affordability, I inherited a mess. I inherited a total mess. Prices were at an all-time high when I came in. Prices are coming down substantially,” Trump said in an interview with Politico that was released on Dec. 9.
“Prices are all coming down. It’s been 10 months. It’s amazing what we’ve done.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Abba, thank You for Susie Wiles, the WH Chief of Staff's intentions for President Trump to campaign this year as if he were running in the midterm elections. We ask Holy Spirit to move on the hearts of all who are praying for conservative oversight of our government to not only vote themselves but to urge friends and family to vote in the midterms. Father God, we know that You are the one who sets kings up and brings them down, that Your intentions for our nation are good and Your heart is to bring the US into total alignment with Your desires. We ask You to put into office only those that You intend to govern us. We ask that righteousness and justice be the standard for all coming into a place of responsibility for their voting record before You. We ask for Your mind, thoughts and love to shine forth from all who are elected, all who will impact the citizens of this country. We ask this in the name El Shaddai, God Almighty, the God who has ultimate power over all things.

Supreme Court Appears Likely to Issue Historic Ruling in Favor of Trump in FTC Commissioner Case
|
|
The U.S. Supreme Court appears poised to issue a historic ruling that could expand presidential authority and validate Trump’s efforts to remove independent federal agency officials, as reported by Politico.
Reuters noted that the case involves Trump’s attempt to fire a commissioner of the Federal Trade Commission, a move initially blocked by lower courts citing a 90-year-old precedent.
That precedent, Humphrey’s Executor v. United States, has long limited the president’s ability to remove officials from independent agencies without cause.
Trump argued that the restriction unfairly shields bureaucrats from accountability and impedes the president’s ability to implement the law.
During oral arguments Monday, the conservative majority on SCOTUS raised questions about whether the 1935 ruling remains relevant in the modern regulatory state.
“I think broad delegations to unaccountable independent agencies raise enormous constitutional and real world problems for individual liberty,” Justice Brett Kavanaugh said, according to the Politico report.
Legal experts say a decision favoring Trump could fundamentally shift the balance of power between the executive branch and independent agencies.
Under such a ruling, presidents would gain the ability to remove commissioners at will, allowing for direct oversight and alignment with the administration’s policy priorities. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Abba, we give You praise and honor for what You are doing in and through the Supreme Court. We ask You to move on every heart, that each justice would know Your intentions for this particular decision and would move away from political decisions instead of just ones. We ask Holy Spirit to pour out wisdom, knowledge and understanding giving each justice just the words that You want them to hear. Where necessary, please change minds and hearts that there can be unity of understanding even if total agreement is not achieved. We ask that unity become as important to the Justices and it is to You. We ask this in the name Yahweh Shalom, The Lord Our Peace.
"Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." (Ephesians 4:3)

DeSantis Drops the Hammer on Muslim Brotherhood, CAIR: 'EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY'
|
|
Unlike in school, most voters probably don’t mind when governors copy each others’ homework — especially when it comes to important issues like national security.
Well, it appears Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis copied the homework of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.
And that doesn’t bode well for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Muslim advocacy group that had worked with the Biden administration, along with the Society of Muslim Brothers.
Just like the Lone Star State, Florida has officially designated both CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood as terrorist organizations.
DeSantis made the sweeping announcement in a Monday evening X post:
“EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY,” DeSantis began, “Florida is designating the Muslim Brotherhood and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as foreign terrorist organizations.”
He added, “Florida agencies are hereby directed to undertake all lawful measures to prevent unlawful activities by these organizations, including denying privileges or resources to anyone providing material support.”
DeSantis spelled out multiple reasons for the decision, including the Muslim Brotherhood’s “long history of engaging in or supporting violence, including political assassinations and terror attacks on civilians.”
DeSantis would also call out the various members of CAIR, who’ve “been convicted of providing and conspiring to provide material support to designated terrorist organizations.”
This move comes just months after Abbott made a similar ruling in Texas in November. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Abba, we give You praise and glory that Governors Abbott of Texas, and DeSantis of Florida, are coming up alongside President Trump concerning CAIR and The Muslim Brotherhood being terrorist organizations. Thank You for the courage it took to take that kind of stand and to speak the truth when so many don't want to hear it. We ask for courage for all governors and mayors to stand up and speak truth when defining those groups who are for our country and those who are not. We ask that those who are called by Your name will follow this example and have the courage to speak truth instead of being silenced by intimidation, by fear. Let our words be filled with love, not hate, but not shrink away from the very strong truth concerning what is reality and what is a lie. Raise up intercessors to pray into this circumstance, let Your warrior angels fight this battle for us in the heavenlies that our prayers can bring victory down to our world. We ask this in the name Yahweh Sabaoth, The Lord of Hosts, the God who has untold number of men and angels at attention, waiting for his command.
"You rebuke the arrogant, who are accursed, those who stray from your commands." (Psalm 119:21)

Somalians Accused of Another Mass Medicaid Fraud Operation in Maine: Whistleblower
|
|
|
A Somali-owned company may have defrauded Maine in a manner similar to schemes that ripped off at least $1 billion from Minnesota, a whistleblower told NewsNation Monday.
Christopher Bernardini, a former “billing guru” at Gateway Community Services, said that the company falsified documents to obtain payment from Maine’s Medicaid program for services to low-income and disabled clients, NewsNation reported. Abdullahi Ali, the owner of the company, reportedly ran for office in Jubaland, a region of Somalia, and boasted about funding a militia there, according to The Maine Wire.
“I have a passion for helping people and I thought that we were doing the right thing this whole time,” Bernardini told NewsNation, later adding, “When I had clients calling me to tell me their staff hadn’t shown up and I was told to bill those hours anyway. It just got worse and worse until I started really putting up a stink.”
Bernardini told NewsNation that an electronic monitoring system intended to track field staff was manipulated to make it appear the clients were visited when staff actually failed to show up.
Gateway Community Services received $28.8 million in Medicaid funds from Maine, according to documents obtained by The Maine Wire via a Freedom of Access Act request.
Democrats in Maine have attacked Republican gubernatorial candidate Bobby Charles of Maine as a racist for raising concerns about The Maine Wire’s reports. (The Epoch Times)

Abba, our country truly needs Your help. The enemy is attacking through so many people and organizations that it's like we can't keep up! Father God, we ask You to move in our nation exposing all demonic plans and those that are putting them into action. We ask that any and all officials in these states that are shown to be participants in these ugly fraud cases be taken out of office and prosecuted to the highest extent of the law possible. We ask that any immigrants living here that are proven to be part of this be sent back to their country of origin and never allowed into the US again.. We ask that any of these participants who ultimately became wealthy on the backs of medicaid and medicare recipients be forced to give back all their US dollars when they are sent home, that these dollars be frozen immediately. We ask for justice to reign over every victim, that restitution be made by those involved. We ask this in the name El Roi, The God Who Sees everything.

F/A-18s conducted 30-minute flight over international waters as military activity escalates in region
|
|
|
The U.S. deployed two fighter jets over the Gulf of Venezuela Tuesday, marking what appeared to be the closest known approach of military aircraft to Venezuelan airspace to date, according to reports.
The F/A-18 jets were observed on Flightradar24 flying for roughly 30 minutes over the waters north of Venezuela, the Associated Press reported.
A U.S. defense official, speaking on condition of anonymity, described the short mission as a "routine training flight" designed to demonstrate the aircraft's operational reach.
The official also did not disclose whether the jets were armed but did emphasize that the operation remained entirely within international airspace.
Tuesday's dual flight follows months of heightened U.S. military activity in the region.
Although the U.S. has previously flown B-52 Stratofortress and B-1 Lancer bombers along Venezuela’s coastline, those aircraft did not appear to approach as closely as Tuesday’s F/A-18s. (Fox News) Read more here.

Abba, we need Your help! We ask Holy Spirit to pour Your wisdom and knowledge into President Trump's mind, thoughts, heart and emotions. Father God, You know what needs to be done and what does not and should not be done. We ask You to be very present with the President, give Your son eyes to see what You see and ears to hear what You hear as he makes further plans concerning Venezuela. We ask You to guide and direct all of President Trump's actions to keep them within Your boundaries. Jesus, we ask You to speak to the heart of Maduro and his government, let them see what You see, give them reason to stop the drug cartels. We ask the same for all leadership in the cartels, give them dreams and nightmares of what their lives will look like if they do not come under Your authority. We ask this in the name El Gibhor, Mighty God, the God who will accomplish the destruction of His enemies.

2. IDF Warns of Growing West Bank Threat, Presence of Iranian Weapons Amid Major Counterterror Operations - Algmeiner
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) is sounding the alarm over a growing terrorist threat from the West Bank, warning that Iranian-backed arms smuggling could spark an Oct. 7-style attack.
Concerns over the presence of significant Iranian-supplied firepower in the hands of Palestinian terrorists in the West Bank has prompted Israeli intelligence and security forces to intensify operations across the territory.
According to a new report from Israel’s Channel 14, a senior IDF official warned that the West Bank presents a growing threat to Israeli communities, with the potential to spark an attack similar to the Hamas-led invasion of and massacre across southern Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.
“We have to start from the clear fact that weapons in Judea and Samaria [Israel’s preferred name for the West Bank] could upset the current stalemate,” the IDF official told Channel 14. (Read more)

4. Amid warming ties, Katz meets Zamir and appears to fold on demand for new IDF probes into Oct. 7 - Times of Israel
Amid apparently warming ties after a clash with IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, Defense Minister Israel Katz appears to backtrack on his order to re-investigate a review of the military’s internal probes into the failures on October 7.
Katz says he met with Zamir yesterday, during which they agreed to merge the military’s “supplementary investigations” for the initial probes with the minister’s effort to have the defense establishment comptroller conduct a new review.
Last month, Zamir received the findings of an external review of the IDF’s internal October 7 probes led by Maj. Gen. (res.) Sami Turgeman, who found that some of the initial investigations by the military were inadequate, and also pointed to several topics that were not investigated at all. (Read more)

5. House holds hearing on Judea and Samaria - JNS
The House Foreign Affairs Committee heard testimony on Wednesday about the “historical, strategic and political dynamics” of Judea and Samaria and that territory’s relationship to the term “West Bank.”
Eugene Kontorovich, a fellow at the Heritage Foundation, pointed to the international law doctrine of uti possidetis, which holds that international boundaries of a successor state revert by default to whatever territory the preceding sovereign boundaries included.
“When Israel gained independence, the preceding geopolitical entity was Mandatory Palestine, which included Judea and Samaria. That’s not in dispute,” said Kontorovich, who is also a professor at George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School and executive director of its Center for the Middle East and International Law. 1. Vermont school district flies Somali flag amid massive fraud investigation in divisive move: GOP chair - Fox News
A rural Vermont school district has stirred social media controversy after raising a Somali flag last week, amid a national reckoning over fraud in the Somali community in Minnesota and leading to condemnation from the state's GOP chairman.
"I just don't understand why our K through 12 schools think this is the most important thing," Paul Dame, chairman of the Vermont Republican Party, told Fox News Digital. "I think most Vermonters, probably most Americans, want their schools to focus on reading, writing and arithmetic, and not what flags get displayed outside the school. It seems like a huge waste of time."
The Winooski School District, located in western Vermont near the city of Burlington, is at the center of the controversy. “We are raising the Somali flag this week in honor of our Somali youth and families in Winooski and Vermont," the Winooski School District said in a Facebook post on Dec. 5. "On Monday, we will be gathering to celebrate together and to learn more about our civil rights." (Read more)

2. OU Student Flunked for Biblical Gender - Million Voices
A Christian student’s faith has become the center of a firestorm at the University of Oklahoma, igniting a national debate over religious freedom and free speech on college campuses. When Samantha Fulnecky, a psychology student, cited the Bible in an essay to uphold the truth that God created only two genders, she was given a grade of zero. This action has raised a critical question: Is there no longer room for biblical truth in our universities?
The assignment required students to react to a study on gender conformity. Fulnecky, standing firm on her convictions, wrote that what the world calls gender norms are, in fact, part of God’s divine design. She boldly challenged the acceptance of non-binary views, calling them a “demonic” lie that stands against God’s perfect plan. Her transgender graduate instructor dismissed her paper, awarding it zero points for its supposed lack of “empirical evidence” and for being “offensive.” (Read more)

4. EU Targets Free Speech with $140M Fine - Million Voices
The European Union has declared a new front in its war against free expression, levying a staggering $140 million fine against Elon Musk’s social media platform, X. This unprecedented penalty is the first major action taken under the EU’s sweeping Digital Services Act (DSA), a law that critics argue is a tool for censorship disguised as regulation. The move represents a direct assault on an American company and raises urgent questions about the future of free speech online.
The European Commission, the executive body of the EU, claims the fine is a response to several alleged breaches of the DSA. Deceptive designof X’s blue checkmark verification system is a top concern. With this change, any user can purchase a subscription for verified status. EU officials argue this policy undermines users’ ability to determine account authenticity, a claim that ignores the personal responsibility of every individual to discern truth for themselves. 6. Trump rips into New York Times over negative reports about his health - DML News
President Donald Trump released a lengthy post on his Truth Social account Tuesday night, blasting the New York Times in a scorching rebuke, after the liberal paper has written at least two negative reports recently, claiming he is in poor health.
On November 25, the Times posted a report titled, “Shorter Days, Signs of Fatigue: Trump Faces Realities of Aging in Office.”

Stupidocrisy: Don't Be Fooled Again
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, December 10, 2025
Pfizer is back in the spotlight, rolling out trial results that claim its new mRNA influenza vaccine outperforms the standard flu shot. The headlines trumpet “better efficacy,” as if we’ve all forgotten the last three years. But FDA Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary says it’s a non-starter, “The trial showed zero benefit” for seniors.” Approval denied. Pfizer rolled out a press release highlighting very carefully framed numbers. They say this new shot reduced flu cases more than the conventional vaccine. What they don’t discuss with the same enthusiasm is that they’re using the exact same COVID-19 mRNA platform that triggered adverse-event warnings that are still being debated today. Who would believe a word they say? Not the new FDA.
We learned a lot during COVID, and most of it didn’t come from official talking points. Pfizer’s own early submissions showed declining protection within months and a spike in myocarditis and pericarditis—especially in young males. People who never had cardiac issues before suddenly found themselves navigating symptoms they didn’t expect. Even the FDA eventually added warnings to the label. And yet here we are again, being told that the same mRNA delivery system has now produced a superior flu shot. They want you to focus on the percentage improvements, not the risks. They want you to forget that “safe and effective” turned into “waning efficacy and unforeseen complications.” They want you to act like none of it happened. But facts are stubborn things, and memories—especially painful ones—tend to stick. Read More

Democrats end 30-year losing streak in Miami as Trump-backed candidate falls short
|
|
|
|
Miami mayoral runoff election is considered a national bellwether for the midterms.
|
|
|
It took nearly 30 years, but Democrats finally broke their decades-long ballot box losing streak in Miami, Florida, the city known as the nation's "Gateway to Latin America."
Democrat Eileen Higgins, a former county commissioner, defeated Republican Emilio Gonzalez, a former city manager, in Tuesday's Miami's mayoral runoff election, according to the Associated Press.
While the election was technically nonpartisan, the ballot box face-off became the latest showdown this year between Democrats and Republicans, with both parties pouring in resources and the race grabbing plenty of national attention.
President Donald Trump endorsed Gonzalez, who served on Trump's Homeland Security Department transition team, and this past weekend took to social media to emphasize that Miami's mayoral election "is a big and important race!!! Vote for Republican Gonzalez." (Fox News) Read more here.,

Father God, we are saddened to witness another loss in this special election in Miami, when Democrat Eileen Higgins defeated the Republican candidate, Emilio Gonzalex, breaking a 30-year stronghold of leadership in this important city.
May we now each search our hearts and seek the will of the Lord for these upcoming midterm elections, as the Democrats seem to be winning these elections already this year. Let us not lose our HOPE in You, Beloved One, for you ARE the author and the finisher of our faith. In Christ's name, we pray, amen and amen.

House passes defense bill to raise troop pay and overhaul weapons purchases
|
|
|
|
WASHINGTON (AP) — The House voted to pass a sweeping defense policy bill Wednesday that authorizes $900 billion in military programs, including a pay raise for troops and an overhaul of how the Department of Defense buys weapons.
The bill’s passage on a 312-112 vote comes at a time of increasing friction between the Republican-controlled Congress and President Donald Trump’s administration over the management of the military.
The annual National Defense Authorization Act typically gains bipartisan backing, and the White House has signaled “strong support” for the must-pass legislation, saying it is in line with Trump’s national security agenda. Yet tucked into the over-3,000-page bill are several measures that push back against the Department of War, including a demand for more information on boat strikes in the Caribbean and support for allies in Europe, such as Ukraine.
Overall, the sweeping bill calls for a 3.8% pay raise for many military members as well as housing and facility improvements on military bases. It also strikes a compromise between the political parties — cutting climate and diversity efforts in line with Trump’s agenda, while also boosting congressional oversight of the Pentagon and repealing several old war authorizations. Still, hard-line conservatives said they were frustrated that the bill does not do more to cut U.S. commitments overseas.
“We need a ready, capable and lethal fighting force because the threats to our nation, especially those from China, are more complex and challenging than at any point in the last 40 years,” said Rep. Mike Rogers, the GOP chair of the House Armed Services Committee. (Breitbart) Read more here.

Lord God, we thank you for this breakthrough as this Congress has now funded this critical bill. The NDAA sustains our military for years to come, so we have badly needed that this funding has come to pass, especially given the threat that China now poses against us. We praise You, O Lord, for this victory, amen and amen!

The White House is reportedly looking to broker a summit between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi, hoping to push the two countries together through shared economic interests.
According to a report in the Axios news site on Sunday, the Trump administration is nudging Israel to forge deals with a number of countries in the region, including Syria, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia, and sees improving ties with Egypt as an achievable place to start.
While Israel and Egypt officially have diplomatic relations — and Cairo played a key role in mediating the Gaza ceasefire — relations between the two leaders are frosty. Sissi had avoided speaking to Netanyahu throughout the Gaza conflict, and the two have not met in public since 2017.
In the immediate wake of the Gaza ceasefire deal reached in October, Netanyahu was invited by US President Donald Trump to join him at a summit in Sharm el-Sheikh but turned down the last-minute invitation, citing the Simhat Torah holiday.
According to Axios, citing an Israeli source, Netanyahu’s “reversal went over badly with Sissi.” The report noted that Jared Kushner, Trump’s adviser and son-in-law and a longtime friend of Netanyahu, has been pushing Israel to offer economic incentives to potential allies rather than just talking “about Iran all the time.” (Read more)

Father God, any news that is coming out of the Middle East and its many nations these days needs to be carefully examined. If this report is true, we welcome this news. We do ask that the intention of the White House be honored by the two nations named above, and that Your will be accomplished in Your time and in Your way. Amen and amen.

Volcano Erupts after Lying Dormant for 12,000 Years, Sending Scientists Scrambling

The Hayli Gubbi volcano, long thought to be dormant, sent ash nine miles into the sky in an eruption on Sunday
A long-quiet volcano in Ethiopia spewed ash nine miles into the sky on Sunday, marking the first known major eruption from this volcano for more than 12,000 years.
Under-studied and situated in Ethiopia’s arid, rural northeast, volcano Hayli Gubbi’s towering ash column may be a clue to other, undetected eruptions in that period, says Juliet Biggs, an earth scientist at the University of Bristol in England.
“I would be really surprised if [more than 12,000 years ago] really is the last eruption date,” Biggs says. While there have been no confirmed eruptions in that time span, satellite images hint that the volcano may have recently burped out lava, she says.
Either way, this eruption is highly unusual. Hayli Gubbi is a shield volcano, like Hawaii’s Mauna Loa. These volcanoes are known for oozing lava flows, not expelling giant columns of ash.
“To see a big eruption column, like a big umbrella cloud, is really rare in this area,” Biggs says.
Hayli Gubbi sits in the East African Rift Zone, a region where the African and Arabian plates are pulling apart at a rate of about 0.4 to 0.6 inches a year, says Arianna Soldati, a volcanologist at North Carolina State University. If the two plates keep moving apart, then eventually the Arabian Sea and rift valley will become a new ocean. (Scientific American) Read More

"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."
