Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) hosted the annual U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. The 53-foot Red Fir tree, nicknamed "Silver Belle," was the first Capitol Christmas tree to come from Nevada and was decorated with over 23,000 ornaments. President Trump has responded to last week’s terror attack on two National Guard soldiers in Washington, DC, by vowing to end all immigration from radical Islamic hotbeds like Afghanistan. According to the President, this will include reviewing the status of any Afghans currently living in the United States.
Last week, an Afghan national murdered one National Guard member and critically wounded another while shouting “Allahu Akbar.” How did this happen? In 2021, then-President Joe Biden let in approximately 100,000 Afghan refugees—and it appears that properly vetting them wasn’t much of a priority for his administration. Neither was border security.
The days of unfettered borders and immigration are now gone under the Trump Administration, and God willing, they are never coming back to America.
In a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, the President stated: “For six months in a row, zero illegal aliens have been admitted into the United States. You believe that? Zero. We had millions of people coming in a year, millions. Now we have zero for six months.” Read more |

Abba, the US and the world need Your help! Radical Muslims are being used by the enemy to come against Your kids not only in the US but around the world. We thank You that Your son, Donald, has the vision You have given him to see where the enemy is and what he is trying to do. Largest-ever US Christian Delegation Arrives in Israel:
"The Pulpit Must be Louder Than the Propaganda"

Yesterday approximately a thousand Christian pastors, leaders, and influencers arrived in Israel – the largest Evangelical group ever to visit from the U.S.
The huge delegation have come for the “Ambassador Summit” to extend support and offer solidarity at a time when Israel is reviled by so many around the world.
Their itinerary includes high level security briefings from experts, memorial visits, and training in Israel advocacy.
In addition to more traditional tourist activities such as praying at the Western Wall and visiting ancient Shilo, delegates will also have the opportunity to visit key sites where the Oct. 7 massacre took place, and pay their respects at soldiers' graves on Mount Herzl.

Abba, how Your heart must feel blessed by so many American citizens going to Israel to stand with them, but also to learn more truth about the reality of being Jewish in a world that is full of hateful hearts turned against Your people. Portland Christmas Tree Lighting Turns Into "Free Palestine" Rally

Portland’s annual Christmas tree lighting took an unexpected turn on Friday when a featured speaker used the stage to call Israel’s actions a “full-blown genocide” and led portions of the crowd in chanting “Free Palestine.” The appearance of pro-Palestinian activism at the 41st annual ceremony — attended by thousands in Pioneer Courthouse Square — drew criticism from residents who said the political messaging was out of place at a city-sponsored holiday event.
Portland officials avoided saying the word “Christmas” throughout the program, referring to the Christmas tree only as “the tree.” In addition to stripping Christmas of its name, traditional Christmas songs were renamed “holiday songs,” and the ceremony made no effort to acknowledge Hanukkah, Chag HaUrim, or any other winter holiday. Instead, the event opened with the Strong Woman Song, performed by a representative of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. She introduced a speaker who immediately launched into commentary on the Israel–Hamas war, calling the ceremony “the perfect time to bring this up.”
The woman held a Palestinian flag and wore a hijab as she told the crowd, “There’s a full-blown genocide happening, live-streaming in 4k.” She then led the chant, “Free, free Palestine,” joined by a portion of the audience. Abba, the total lack of respect for You and for Your birthday celebration must break Your heart! DOJ leaders criticize Biden administration for failing to solve case that 'languished' for more than four years
|
|
|
Department of Justice leaders criticized the Biden administration for failing to achieve what they accomplished on Thursday by arresting a suspect after pipe bombs were found near the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
Attorney General Pam Bondi said during a press conference announcing the arrest of Brian Cole Jr. that existing evidence led to the FBI’s breakthrough in a cold case that had "languished" for nearly five years.
"What I will tell you is that evidence has been sitting there collecting dust," Bondi said. "This wasn't a new tip. It wasn't some new evidence. It was the hard work of President Trump's administration."
Bondi said federal investigators were able to identify Cole after spending months "sifting through evidence that had been sitting at the FBI with the Biden administration." She said bringing charges against Cole was not a result of any new witnesses or leads but rather "good, diligent police work and prosecutorial work."
Court papers unsealed Thursday revealed that bank records showing purchases of pipe bomb material and cell phone tower data were used to identify Cole. The suspect is now in custody facing charges of using explosives, with more charges possible, and he is expected to make his first court appearance Friday.
Surveillance footage released by the FBI showed an unidentified suspect in a hoodie planting two explosive devices near the Republican and Democratic National Committees’ headquarters on the night of Jan. 5, 2021.
Authorities said the devices were "viable" and could have detonated. The first one was discovered by a woman in an alleyway doing her laundry, investigative reports said. She immediately reported her finding to the police, prompting a search that led to the discovery of the second bomb, the reports said.
A congressional report revealed that the FBI during the Biden administration began "diverting resources" away from the investigation at the end of February 2021, after less than two months. (Fox News) Read more here.

Abba, we give You high praise that a suspect in the J6 Pipe Bomb case has been arrested. We ask You to be very involved in putting this case together, guide and direct all decisions made that this will be a just trial. Holy Spirit, please send out angels to "bring to light" anything that has not yet been identified as evidence, speak to the heart of Brian Cole and give him the courage to admit what he has done and to be honest concerning any other people that need to be involved in this prosecution. Jesus, we are thankful that neither bomb exploded, possibly hurting or killing innocent people. We ask You to draw Mr. Cole to You, let Your love impact him deeply in his heart and emotions, bring him into Your kingdom. We ask this in the name El Roi, The God Who Sees everything.

1. IAF strikes Hezbollah terror targets in Lebanon - JNS
The Israeli Air Force on Thursday afternoon conducted a round of airstrikes on Hezbollah terrorist targets in Southern Lebanon.
The operation targeted several weapons storage facilities “located in the heart of civilian populations, the military said. “This is another example of Hezbollah’s cynical use of Lebanese civilians as human shields and its operations from within civilian assets.”
The presence of the Hezbollah sites violated the Nov. 26, 2024, ceasefire understandings between Jerusalem and Beirut, the army stated. “The IDF will continue to act to remove any threat to the State of Israel.”
Before the aerial strikes, steps were taken to reduce the chance of harm to noncombatants, including “warning the population, use of precision munitions, aerial observations and additional intelligence information.” (Read more)

2. Netanyahu taps his military secretary, Roman Gofman, as next Mossad director -Times of Israel
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday tapped his military secretary Maj. Gen. Roman Gofman as the next Mossad director.
The current chief of the spy agency, David Barnea, will end his five-year term in June 2026. According to Channel 12, Netanyahu’s selection of Gofman — a Mossad outsider — means that he passed over the two candidates suggested by Barnea.
The appointment was submitted to the Advisory Committee for Senior Appointments for review.
Gofman’s appointment is not expected to face much opposition, unlike the more controversial appointment of former IDF general David Zini to lead the Shin Bet domestic security agency, which faced weeks of court petitions and appeals. Zini was eventually sworn in to the post in October. (Read more)

3. Egyptian official: Israel unilaterally opening Rafah crossing would violate Gaza truce - Times of Israel
Diaa Rashwan, head of Egypt’s State Information Service, says in interviews with Arabic media that Cairo has a “veto” against Israel’s decision to reopen the Rafah Border Crossing, and that doing so would be a violation of US President Donald Trump’s 20-point peace plan for Gaza.
The comments come after a source in the SIS, the Egyptian government media agency, was cited in Egyptian media denying Israel’s statement that the crossing would reopen in the coming days for Palestinians leaving Gaza. Trump’s plan says “we will encourage people to stay” in Gaza.
“Holding onto the right to stay in Gaza is firmly established in international law, and anything contrary to that would be a war crime,” Diaa is quoted by Egyptian media telling the Cairo News Channel.
Speaking later to Al Jazeera, he says, “the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip is a red line.” (Read more)

4. The Future of War: Israel Takes Global Lead on Military Innovation With New AI Division, Iron Beam Laser System - Algemeiner
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced this week a revolutionary reorganization of the technology and artificial intelligence capabilities of the Jewish state’s military, unveiling new plans to prepare for future warfare with cutting-edge advancements.
Israel’s major defense overhaul, unveiled on Tuesday, comes in preparation for the deployment of the long-anticipated “Iron Beam” laser interceptor system, which will be delivered to the military at the end of the month.
Under the name “Bina” — Hebrew word “intelligence” — the IDF has chosen to shut down its Lotem Unit from the C41 Corps, replacing it with the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Division and the Spectrum Division. The latter will focus on communications and electronic warfare with an emphasis on threats from Iran, China, and Russia.
The AI Division will grow through merging other sections within the IDF, including Mamram (the abbreviation for the Center of Computing and Information Systems) and software development units Shahar and Mitzpen. This consolidation of AI-development related divisions intends both to intensify security and avoid accidentally duplicating research efforts. 5. Israeli archaeologists uncover remains of dramatic mountaintop royal palace

A team of Israeli archaeologists has uncovered a new piece of the puzzle at the ancient Alexandrium fortress, the dramatic mountaintop site rising 650 meters above the Jordan Valley.
Months after relaunching excavations on the eastern side of the site, researchers have now found remains of a newly identified royal palace on the northwestern slope.
The find suggests the stronghold was part of a far more extensive royal complex than previously known.
“It sheds light on the architectural style and the function of the site, which is not mentioned by Josephus, our only historical source for the period,” Dr. Dvir Raviv of Bar-Ilan University, director of the excavation, told The Press Service of Israel. “So any archaeological find is significant.” (Read more)

1. DOJ Sues SIX More States for Withholding Voter Rolls — 14 States Now Targeted as Bondi and Dhillon Launch Aggressive Nationwide Crackdown – The Gateway Pundit
The Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division announced Tuesday that it has filed federal lawsuits against six additional states, Delaware, Maryland, New Mexico, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington, for refusing to hand over their statewide voter registration lists, as required under federal law.
Attorney General Pamela Bondi, who has taken a dramatically tougher posture on election transparency than her predecessors, called the states’ stonewalling a direct threat to clean elections.
“Accurate voter rolls are the cornerstone of fair and free elections, and too many states have fallen into a pattern of noncompliance with basic voter roll maintenance,” said Attorney General Pamela Bondi.
“The Department of Justice will continue filing proactive election integrity litigation until states comply with basic election safeguards.”
Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet K. Dhillon, who has led the most aggressive election-integrity enforcement push in modern DOJ history, went further, accusing noncompliant states of actively undermining public trust. Read more

Dear Lord, we are grateful for this action by Attorney General Bondi and Assistant Attorney General Dhillon. We pray they have the assistance of the heavenly host to gather in the voter roles from the states holding them back. We pray that all obstacles in the way of these states turning in the data will be gone as people retire and others see the futility of resisting this lawful and necessary compliance. We pray that as the roles are scrutinized, that they will find ALL the names that are not qualified voters and that they will easily be eliminated from the states' roles. We pray that the next elections will be free of this kind of fraud and will be a true vote of the people. Thank You, Lord, for this initiative on the part of our Department of Justice.

2. Republican Oklahoma State Rep. Receives Violent Message for Coming to Defense of Christian Student – The Gateway Pundit
Republican Oklahoma State Representative Gabe Woolley, who has publicly supported University of Oklahoma student Samantha Fulnecky, is receiving violent threats for coming to the student’s defense.
Fulnecky, a Christian, received a zero grade from a transgender teaching assistant for not upholding a woke narrative for a paper on gender stereotypes.
Turning Point USA’s OU chapter shared, “For a psychology course at the University Oklahoma, Samantha Fulnecky was asked to write a 650-word essay reacting to an article about how people are perceived based on societal expectations of gender.”
“In her essay, Fulnecky argued that traditional gender roles should not be considered stereotypes. She cited the Bible to support her stance that eliminating gender in society would be “detrimental” because that would put people ‘farther from God’s original plan for humans.'”
“She received zero points out of 25 on the essay. Transgender professor, Mel Curtis, said Ms. Fulnecky, failed to use empirical evidence/and called parts of her essay offensive.” Read more

Father God, how we applaud this representative for his stand in supporting this brave Christian student. We first of all speak protection over him as he takes this stand against the evil lie of transgenderism. We declare that no weapon formed against him will prosper and that all tongues that rise up against him he will silence. Father, we pray for more people in government and in academia to take up this cause, also. We speak angelic protection over him as he promotes Your truth and pray that more and more people will see the truth of what Your Word says about this sensitive issue.

3. The Intelligence Branch Answers to No One – Discern Report
Can self-government exist alongside centralized intelligence agencies? Espionage agencies seek secrets and keep secrets. To the extent that they inform the public what they know, they decide which secrets can be disclosed. Now this may be the only way for a clandestine service to operate, but it certainly does not equip the public to make fully-informed decisions. When choosing which policies or representatives to support, voters know nothing of substance within the classified world.
Western nations that call themselves “democracies” try to obfuscate this issue by pretending two things: (1) that intelligence agencies work, at all times, for the public good and (2) that a small body of elected officials effectively supervise the work of government spies. These are comforting delusions.
In regard to the first delusion, a citizen need merely ask, “How do spies determine the public good?” Do spy agencies conduct operations that the general public would likely reject? Do the worldviews of intelligence officers affect how they pursue strategic objectives? If the answers to those questions are “yes,” then espionage agencies pursue what they perceive to be in the public’s best interests and not necessarily what the public would choose for itself. As much as secretive agencies may believe that they are in a better position to make those judgments, they are still substituting their own judgments for the public’s. Read more

Lord Jesus, we see that these intelligence agencies are fraught with snares that could entice a person who does not have a strong relationship with You and a strong sense of right and wrong. Since the public has little or no access to the workings and end results of their fact finding, we must rely on You to guide the men and women in these agencies and police them when they get off track and into doing harm to our country. Father, We thank You that many of the bad actions of these agencies have come to light lately by the power of Your very own justice. We pray for more and more to be revealed if necessary in the future. Lord, we pray that these groups will be staffed by those who love You too much to make wicked decisions as has happened in the recent past for political purposes. Thank You, Lord, for putting strong Christians in these areas.

4. Mike Lindell Files Paperwork to Run for Minnesota Governor – Discern Report
MyPillow Founder and CEO Mike Lindell filed paperwork to run for Minnesota governor in 2026, the Minnesota Star Tribune reported on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, the Mike Lindell for Governor committee was registered with the state’s Campaign Finance Board, according to the Minnesota Star Tribune. Lindell, a close ally to President Donald Trump, told the outlet in an interview that his gubernatorial bid “isn’t 100% yet,” but vowed to announce his final decision during a news conference on Dec. 11.
“I am going to announce either way on Dec. 11,” Lindell told the outlet. Lindell also told the Star Tribune that “if there was someone to win, it would be me,” in reference to the field of GOP contenders in the state’s gubernatorial race. Read more

5. The Future of the Entire Planet Hangs in the Balance as Putin, Maduro and Trump All Indicate That They Are Ready to Fight – Discern Report
It is far easier to start wars than it is to end them. As we watch global events develop, so many of us have a really bad feeling about what is ahead. Without a doubt, 2025 has been a time of “wars and rumors of wars”, but it appears that things are ready to go to the next level in 2026. Vladimir Putin, Nicolas Maduro and President Trump all say that they are ready to fight, and they aren’t the only ones. A really bad case of “war fever” has gripped leaders all over the world, and that is not good news for any of us.
During a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, President Trump ominously warned that strikes on drug cartels in Venezuelan territory would begin “very soon”…
The president touted the strikes and the effort to combat drug trafficking, saying the number of deaths are “way down” in the U.S. due in part to the strikes on alleged drug boats. He said the administration would soon start strikes on land as well.
“We’re going to start doing those strikes on land, too,” Mr. Trump said. “You know, the land is much easier. And we know the routes they take, we know everything about them. We know where they live, we know where the bad ones live. And we’re going to start that very soon, too.”
Once we start striking targets in Venezuelan territory, we will be at war with Venezuela. Read more

6. Trump Gives Most Direct Endorsement for Abolishing Federal Income Tax – The Epoch Times
The president made the comments during a meeting with his Cabinet members on Tuesday.
President Donald Trump on Tuesday provided his most direct endorsement yet that he believes his tariff policies would generate enough revenue to abolish federal income taxes.
Trump told reporters in a Cabinet meeting that “at some point in the not too distant future you won’t even have income tax to pay” due to revenue produced by his administration’s tariffs. “Whether you get rid of it or just keep it around for fun or have it really low, much lower than it is now, but you won’t be paying income tax,” Trump said.
The president did not elaborate on the details of eliminating income taxes for Americans, including whether there would be an income limit.
Earlier in the Cabinet meeting, the president stated that the government is “going to be giving back refunds out of the tariffs because we’re taking in literally trillions of dollars” and asserted that the national debt will also be reduced. Read more

You are our provider! We thank you that President Trump is trying to make a way to abolish Federal income tax with the money from the tariffs for the American people. Grant Trump's Administration wisdom as to how the United States can pay off our national debt, make our military strong and still give the American people tax relief. Lord, silence all the naysayers and doubters concerning what our President is saying about this situation. You, Lord, can make a way where there is no way! Bring it to fruition! In Jesus' Name. Amen.

In observing the current events in the Middle East, The Daily Jot is offering a three-part series on the March of Prophecy that connects the dots of agreements, leaders, and Scripture.
The headlines out of Washington recently have been astonishing: A US president sitting down with a Syrian leader whose past includes fighting alongside militant factions tied to the deaths of American service members. Ahmed al-Sharaa rose to power through movements once designated as terrorists by the United States, yet he walked through the White House doors as a negotiating partner. Sanctions were eased. Cooperation was promised. The world was told this was a step toward peace. It leaves many of us staring at the scene, wrestling with the tension between a noble pursuit and the painful memory of Americans who never came home. Plus, al-Sharaa’s people are still killing Christians in Syria.
At relatively the same time, another meeting unfolded with Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, whose countrymen formed the majority of the 9/11 hijackers and have been tied to several other attacks targeting Americans. Saudi Arabia remains a rising economic force and a central diplomatic player, but those realities don’t erase the history. Two back-to-back meetings with two men linked—directly or through their nations—to violence against Americans raise hard questions. Is this peace by strength, or peace by hope? Is it strategic brilliance, or a gamble in a region where gambles rarely pay off without consequence? Moreover, what is the impact of these meetings on Biblical prophecy?

U.S. District Judge James Boasberg on Wednesday ordered two Jan. 6 defendants pardoned by President Donald Trump to be refunded in full for restitution payments made and fines incurred as part of their earlier criminal cases.
It was a reversal from just months earlier, when the same judge rejected their bid for repayment.
Boasberg used a memo order Wednesday to outline the fairly complex case history for Cynthia Ballenger and her husband, Christopher Price, both of whom had been tried and convicted on misdemeanor charges in connection with events of Jan. 6, 2021, and ordered to pay hundreds of dollars in assessment fees and restitution.
Boasberg's order effectively clears the way for the government to refund them both in full.
Rather, he said, the reversal hinged on the fact that both their cases had been pending before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit when Trump granted the pardon, "thereby moot[ing] their appeals" and causing their convictions to be vacated completely by the higher court.
"So even if defendants’ pardon does not entitle them to refunds, the resulting vacatur of their convictions might," Boasberg wrote, adding that it is true regardless of the reason for the vacatur. "In plain English, vacatur — unlike a pardon — ‘wholly nullifie[s]’ the vacated order and ‘wipes the slate clean.'"
The memo order goes one step further, however, as Boasberg considers not only whether a court can theoretically order repayments in the cases of vacated convictions, but if doing so is legally sound under the appropriations clause and with respect to issues of sovereign immunity, which protects the government from being sued without its consent.
The new decision, he said, is the result of an appeals court decision, as well as the timing of Trump's pardon, which came at the same time as their case had been pending appeal before the D.C. Circuit. "Having viewed the question afresh, the court now agrees with the defendants," Boasberg said.
Both defendants, Ballenger and Price, had been in the process of appealing their convictions when Trump took office for a second time this year and issued a sweeping pardon for the roughly 1,500 Jan. 6 defendants.
In July, Boasberg rejected their request to be refunded the $570 each in restitution payments and other fees paid as a part of their convictions. They later asked the court to reconsider, clearing the way for Wednesday's new ruling.
Boasberg, in the new memo order, cited the same precedent from July, which states that a pardon alone is not sufficient to entitle a former defendant to any property or compensation lost as a result of the conviction. "By itself, defendants’ pardon therefore cannot unlock the retroactive return of their payments that they ask for here," he noted Wednesday, reiterating that the court's ruling on this portion of the appeal remains unchanged.
Boasberg concluded that the court has the power to order such repayment. "Because the court could order defendants to pay assessments and restitution, it can order those payments reversed," he said. "Those are two sides of the same action, and sovereign immunity does not stand in the way." (Fox News) Read more here.

We pray for continued investigation into charges levied against 1,500 citizens; we thank You for their pardons but pray for total restitution where it is justified and the revelation of what really happened on January 6. Abba Father, we know that You love our precious children even more than we do; and we all want Your very best for each of them. Therefore, we come before Your mighty throne of power and grace and ask that the pending legislation, including H.R.s 1005, 1049 and 1069, be passed, implemented and enforced as soon as possible. Please move on our legislators to produce a unanimous/bipartisan approval of these acts: PROTECT Our Kids Act, the TRACE Act and the CLASS Act. Combined, these three Acts would all work together to protect our children, as well as the credibility and integrity of the educational systems in the U.S., from lies and interference from the Chinese Communist Party [caught red-handed in the act of educational infiltration in the U.S.]. Presidents of Rwanda, DRC Thank Trump for Brokering Historic Peace Deal

WASHINGTON — The president of the Republic of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, and the president of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Felix Tshisekedi, thanked President Donald Trump and his administration Thursday for brokering a historic peace deal between their nations.
Both leaders expressed their gratitude shortly before signing the Washington Accords at the U.S. Institute of Peace, recently renamed the Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace. This signing marks the official end of a three-decade-long conflict between the nations.
“The biggest word of thanks goes to President Donald Trump. No one was asking President Trump to take up this task. Our region is far from the headlines, but when the President saw the opportunity to contribute to peace, he immediately took it,” Kagame said.
“This conflict has lasted for 30 years. We have seen countless mediations and efforts, but none had succeeded in resolving the underlying issues,” he added.
Kagame applauded Trump for creating an atmosphere where “breakthroughs” were possible.
“His approach is even-handed, never taking sides. He orients us toward the future, not the past, emphasizing that the dividend of peace is prosperity and investment, including from the United States,” he said. “More importantly, President Trump’s approach is pragmatic.”
Tshisekedi thanked Trump, his administration, and the American people in his remarks before stating that the Washington Accords mark a “turning point.”
He said: They bring together under a coherent architecture a declaration of principles of a peace agreement and also the regional economic integration framework to provide to the peoples of the region a new perspective, a new outlook, namely, to finally overcome the cycle of violence, of forced displacements, of mistrust, defiance in order to begin a new era of friendship, cooperation and prosperity, all shared together."
Trump complimented both men as “courageous leaders.”

Building Pathways to Peace, the theme of the 84th Anniversary commemoration of the attack on Pearl Harbor, highlights the importance of remembering the moment in the past when the prospects for peace were shattered and our nation was plunged into global war, while looking forward with gratitude, optimism and determination to recognize and embrace the opportunities to establish and cultivate a brighter future.
2025 represents a milestone year for our nation and all of humanity. In September, Americans and the peace-loving nations of the world paused to remember and reflect on the 80 years that have passed since the end of World War II. The sacrifice of those who perished in that calamitous conflict, that began for the United States here at Pearl Harbor, will never be forgotten.
