Denmark unveils $18 million plan to combat rising antisemitism amid surge in attacks
Denmark’s government on Tuesday unveiled an $18 million, five-year plan to combat antisemitism through 2030, focusing on security, education, and research, as the country’s Jewish community continues to face a wave of targeted attacks and hostility.

“Following Hamas’s terrorist attack in Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, and the subsequent war in Gaza, there has been a flare-up in antisemitism in Denmark,” the Danish Justice Ministry said while announcing the new plan.

Building on Denmark’s first national plan to combat antisemitism from 2022, the new initiative will focus on boosting security for Jewish institutions, combating online hate, and introducing programs for children and young people.

As a new addition to the previous plan set to expire at the end of this year, the newly released program will appoint an Education Ministry coordinator to fight antisemitism in schools and establish an association to combat antisemitic hate crimes.

Other measures will include expanded educational programs, giving all upper secondary schools the opportunity to apply for study trips that teach students about the Holocaust and antisemitism. (World Israel News) Read More Here
Father we are grateful for Denmark's wisdom and obedience to squelch anti-semitism from spreading. Bless Justice Minister Peter Hummelgaard  as he stands boldly against attacks aimed towards Jews through utilizing educational platforms, strict consequences and targeted intentions to fuel mutual respect for Jewish people among all citizens. May young children in Denmark have opportunities to learn about the Holocaust and be strongly impacted with compassion towards Jews, who have suffered much. We pray for this same model of respect and honor to be followed by the United States of America to continue a unified alliance between America, Israel and other nations. May all of Abba's holy plans and purposes bring glory to God and lasting peace for Israel and Jerusalem! In Yeshua's powerful Name, we pray-Amen.

"Indeed, if you diligently obey the LORD your God to carry out all his commands that I'm giving you today, then the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth." (Deuteronomy 28:1)

Trump says Zelenskyy ‘isn’t ready’ yet to accept US-authored proposal to end Russia-Ukraine war

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — President Donald Trump on Sunday claimed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy “isn’t ready” to sign off on a U.S-authored peace proposal aimed at ending the Russia-Ukraine war.

Trump was critical of Zelenskyy after U.S. and Ukrainian negotiators completed three days of talks on Saturday aimed at trying to narrow differences on the U.S. administration’s proposal. But in an exchange with reporters on Sunday night, Trump suggested that the Ukrainian leader is holding up the talks from moving forward.

“I’m a little bit disappointed that President Zelenskyy hasn’t yet read the proposal, that was as of a few hours ago. His people love it, but he hasn’t,” Trump claimed in an exchange with reporters before taking part in the Kennedy Center Honors. The president added, “Russia is, I believe, fine with it, but I’m not sure that Zelenskyy’s fine with it. His people love it it. But he isn’t ready.”

To be certain, Russian President Vladimir Putin hasn’t publicly expressed approval for the White House plan. In fact, Putin last week had said that aspects of Trump’s proposal were unworkable, even though the original draft heavily favored Moscow.

Trump has had a hot-and-cold relationship with Zelenskyy since riding into a second White House term insisting that the war was a waste of U.S. taxpayer money. Trump has also repeatedly urged the Ukrainians to cede land to Russia to bring an end to a now nearly four-year conflict he says has cost far too many lives. (Breitbart) Read more here.

Lord God, we ask that you give President Trump wisdom, clarity, and understanding while dealing with this hostile government of Ukraine. We continue to pray that all violence would cease and desist in Jesus' name. Help us through this difficult situation we pray, amen.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones.”         (‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3:5-8‬)

Steve Scalise: Republicans ‘Bringing a Number’ of Healthcare Bills to House Floor in ‘the Next Few Weeks’

House Majority Leader Steve Scalise explained on Friday that House Republicans are introducing a series of healthcare bills that would alleviate the high costs that have arisen thanks to Obamacare.

Scalise joined the Ruthless podcast to discuss how House Republicans are working to lower prices. As a part of these efforts, he said Republicans will bring forth many bills that seek to lower healthcare costs, although it remains unclear if it will be one large healthcare reform package or a series of bills.

He said:

We’re bringing a number of bills to the floor in the next few weeks… I was meeting with the Doctors Caucus. I met with every different group, along with the three chairmen of the committees of Jurisdiction. Energy and Commerce has been working on a lot of really big things. Ways and Means Committee, the Education and Workforce Committee. They’ve all been working on different pieces to do things like association health plans… There’s no competition in health insurance. Really no transparency either. Imagine bringing those elements in.

Scalise said lowering prescription drug prices are a part of Republicans’ efforts as well, assuring Americans that “on lowering prescription drug costs, we’re going to be bringing bills to the floor in the next few weeks to do exactly that.” (Breitbart) Read more here.

Lord God, only with your direction can we fix all the messes the previous administrations have made, including in our healthcare system. This system was supposed to be built to serve others but instead it’s become a wasteful entity serving only those at the top. We humble ourselves before you God and look to you only for direction on our health and how to clean up this corrupt system. Give us your wisdom, Lord, for this situation. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

“For the Lord has a hidden storehouse of wisdom made accessible to his godly ones. He becomes your personal bodyguard as you follow his ways, protecting and guarding you as you choose what is right.”  (Prov. 2:7-8)

Adam Wolfe slowly healing,’ W.Va. Gov. Morrisey says

West Virginia National Guardsman Adam Wolfe is showing progress in healing from the head wound that he suffered in an ambush attack near the White House on Nov. 26, the state’s governor said.

Gov. Patrick Morrisey announced the current status of Wolfe, 24, who remains hospitalized ahead of a vigil held for Wolfe on Friday night at Musselman High School in Berkeley County, W.Va.

“His parents report that his head wound is slowly healing and that he’s beginning to ‘look more like himself,'” Morrisey said in a prepared statement.

“The family expects that Andy will be in acute care for another two to three weeks but have been optimistic about his progress,” he said.

“We continue to ask all West Virginians and Americans for their prayers,” Morrisey added. “They are making a difference.” (Breitbart) Read more here.

Lord God we pray for supernatural healing to take place, in Jesus' name. We speak a prayer of healing and restoration for his soul, his mind, and his emotions that they are completely healed of all trauma because you are the ultimate healer Lord. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

NYC mayor-elect tells residents how to resist ICE agents knocking at their door in new video

New York City mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani on Sunday released a video outlining New Yorkers’ rights during encounters with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement after an attempted raid in Manhattan, pledging that his administration will safeguard immigrant communities while protecting the city’s constitutional right to protest.

The video comes as immigration enforcement in New York faces renewed scrutiny, underscoring how Mamdani plans to confront federal actions he says threaten immigrant communities and demand that New Yorkers be prepared, informed and confident in asserting their legal rights.

In the video, Mamdani opens by recalling an ICE raid last weekend in Manhattan that sought to detain immigrants.

"As mayor, I'll protect the rights of every single New Yorker, and that includes the more than 3 million immigrants who call this city their home," he said. "But we can all stand up to ICE if you know your rights."

He then offered guidance for immigrants who may encounter ICE.

"First, ICE cannot enter into private spaces like your home, school or private area of your workplace without a judicial warrant signed by a judge," Mamdani advised. "If ICE does not have a judicial warrant signed by a judge, you have the right to say, ‘I do not consent to entry' and the right to keep your door closed.’"

He noted that ICE may present paperwork claiming authority to make an arrest, but said "that is false." (Breitbart) Read more here.

We pray that these schemes would be dismantled in Jesus' name and will not succeed. We continue to pray for the safety of all law enforcement officers participating in strategic, dangerous efforts to rid our country of violent criminals. We ask you, Lord God, to give them all wisdom as they track these criminals while they plan their operations. Thank you, Lord, for restoring America’s safety, in Jesus' name, amen.

[For our law enforcement and ICE officers] "I can do all things through him who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13)

1. IDF targets Hezbollah launch site, training facilities in southern Lebanon
- Israel National News

The IDF struck infrastructure belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization in several areas in southern Lebanon early Tuesday morning.

According to the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, as part of the strikes, the IDF struck a training and qualification compound used by Hezbollah’s Radwan Force for conducting training and courses for the organization’s terrorists, intended for planning and executing terrorist activities against IDF troops and Israeli civilians.

As part of the training in the compound, the terrorists underwent shooting exercises and additional training on the use of various types of weapons. (Read more)

2. IDF: Hamas-Iran financial network in Turkey moved hundreds of millions to Gaza terrorists - World Israel News

Israeli security agencies on Sunday exposed a Hamas-operated money exchange network based in Turkey and directed by Iran, that transferred hundreds of millions of dollars to Gaza terrorists.

The Israel Defense Forces and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) said files they uncovered show that Gazans living in Turkey have been operating the terror group’s money-changing network, “exploiting the country’s financial infrastructure for terrorist purposes,” with Tehran’s help.

According to Avichay Adraee, head of the Arab Media Branch in the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, the Palestinian financial network has “managed wide-ranging economic operations in the heart of Turkey, including receiving Iranian funds, storing them and wiring them to Hamas.”

The military spokesman released documents apparently documenting several transactions totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars, which Adraee stressed represented just a fraction of the network’s activity. (Read more)

3. Following pressure from Arab, Muslim states, Blair dropped from Gaza ‘peace board’ - JNS

Former U.K. Prime Minister Tony Blair is no longer under consideration to join the so-called Board of Peace intended to supervise a transitional government in Gaza under U.S. President Donald Trump’s 20-point Middle East peace plan, the Financial Times reported on Monday.

Blair was the only person listed by name in the peace plan as a potential member of the board consisting of “other members and heads of state,” with Trump as its chairman.

Under point nine of the plan, the board will have “oversight and supervision” over the “temporary transitional governance of a technocratic, apolitical Palestinian committee” intended to govern Gaza “until such time as the Palestinian Authority has completed its reform program.” (Read more)

4. Trump to host Netanyahu on December 29 for talks on advancing Gaza plan
- Times of Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet US President Donald Trump in the United States on December 29 to discuss plans for Gaza’s future, the Prime Minister’s Office announced on Monday.

“The Prime Minister will meet with President Trump on Monday, December 29 they will discuss the future steps and phases and the international stabilization force of the ceasefire plan,” government spokesperson Shosh Bedrosian said in an online briefing to reporters.

The trip will mark Netanyahu’s fifth to the US to meet the president since Trump took office earlier this year, and the first since the Trump administration brokered a ceasefire and hostage release that effectively ended two years of fighting in the Gaza Strip. Israel hosted Trump, who addressed the Knesset, on October 13. (Read more

5. 2,000-year-old Jerusalem city wall uncovered - JNS

A section of Jerusalem’s city wall dating from the Hasmonean period more than two thousand years ago has been unearthed in the city’s Tower of David Museum, the Israel Antiquities Authority announced on Monday.

The wall was discovered during an excavation on the grounds of the museum, located just inside the Jaffa Gate of the Old City of Jerusalem, adjacent to the citadel, within the historic complex known as the Kishle, the state-run archaeological body said.

The newly uncovered section of the wall known in ancient historical sources as the “First Wall” is particularly impressive in both size and degree of preservation, being over 40 meters long and about 5 meters wide, according to excavation directors Amit Re’im and Marion Zindel. (Read more)

1. Immigration courts thrown into chaos as Trump administration purges dozens of judges - POLITICO

The seven judges terminated in New York on Dec. 1 are all women: Khan, Lisa Ehrens, Maria Lurye, Alice Segal, Evalyn Douchy, Theodora Kouris and Lori Adams, five judges and court observers told POLITICO.

The expulsions have intensified the need for independent immigration courts, judges and Democratic lawmakers said.

“These unlawful and politicized firings are definitely just another reason why there’s a strong need for an independent judiciary under Article I or Article III of the Constitution,” said Anam Petit, a former Virginia immigration judge who said she was fired in September. “Judges should not be afraid for their jobs. They shouldn’t be nervous that they need to rule a certain way.”

Reps. Dan Goldman (D-N.Y.) and Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.) plan to reintroduce legislation to move immigration courts out of the executive branch. The bill would establish an independent immigration court system. (Read more)

Lord much is happening regarding immigration, and we are grateful that action is finally being taken to protect our borders.

"And I will set your border from the Red Sea to the Sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the Euphrates, for I will give the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out before you." (Exodus 23:31)

2. Trump lays bare his contempt for Europe in blistering new national security plan - CNN

“America Alone” might be the simplest précis of the White House’s new National Security Strategy, an extraordinary document released Friday that starkly lays out the administration’s broad foreign policy priorities.

In a 33-page wall of words and grievances that self-summarizes as “America First,” it manages to reject European allies with a borderline racist swipe, concede the United States must share power with China and search for new allies in the Western Hemisphere, where currently Washington has few. At times, it would be facile enough to be funny, but the stakes are anything but.

“The days of the United States propping up the entire world order like Atlas are over,” the paper declares early on, although it is unclear if this is a statement of past fact, or a new policy. The place sought for the US in this new world is no clearer either: no longer top dog, more snarling at other rising hounds.

“As the United States rejects the ill-fated concept of global domination for itself, we must prevent the global … domination of others,” it says. “The outsized influence of larger, richer, and stronger nations is a timeless truth of international relations.” The meteoric ascent of China, it says, came at the expense of the US (with little mention of the role cheap goods played in rising US living standards for decades) but can only be checked, not stopped.   (Read more)

We do pray, You give the United States strength and power to prevent the domination of other countries over us -- especially China.  And we also pray that the United States would gain new allies in Europe.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."      (Joshua 1:9)

3.  Trump reveals what he wants for the world - POLITICO

The National Security Strategy, which presidents usually release once each term, offers a formal statement of U.S. global priorities.

President Donald Trump intends for the U.S. to keep a bigger military presence in the Western Hemisphere going forward to battle migration, drugs and the rise of adversarial powers in the region, according to his new National Security Strategy.

The 33-page document is a rare formal explanation of Trump’s foreign policy worldview by his administration. Such strategies, which presidents typically release once each term, can help shape how parts of the U.S. government allocate budgets and set policy priorities.

The Trump National Security Strategy, which the White House quietly released Thursday, has some brutal words for Europe, suggesting it is in civilizational decline, and pays relatively little attention to the Middle East and Africa.

It has an unusually heavy focus on the Western Hemisphere that it casts as largely about protecting the U.S. homeland. It says “border security is the primary element of national security” and makes veiled references to China’s efforts to gain footholds in America’s backyard.

“The United States must be preeminent in the Western Hemisphere as a condition of our security and prosperity — a condition that allows us to assert ourselves confidently where and when we need to in the region,” the document states. “The terms of our alliances, and the terms upon which we provide any kind of aid, must be contingent on winding down adversarial outside influence — from control of military installations, ports, and key infrastructure to the purchase of strategic assets broadly defined.”

The document describes such plans as part of a “Trump Corollary” to the Monroe Doctrine. (Read more)

Thank you for this strategy by President Trump to keep the United States strong militarily in the western hemisphere. We pray You continue to give wisdom and skill to President Trump as he keeps America first and keeps America strong..

"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him." (James 1:5)

Lord We just pray over these agreements between Russia and India.  Give the United States wisdom about these agreements between Russia and India as Trump is trying to curb Moscow's energy sales. We offer repentance that the nation of India is now looking to Russia for its energy supply, in Your Name, Abba, amen and amen!

5. Iran holds drills in Gulf, firing ballistic, cruise missiles at simulated targets
 - The Jerusalem Post

Iran's Revolutionary Guards Navy fired ballistic and cruise missiles at simulated targets in the Gulf on Friday during a two-day military exercise aimed at countering foreign threats, state media reported.

Earlier, Iran hosted an anti-terrorism drill in its northwestern province of East Azerbaijan with members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which, according to state Press TV, was intended to signal both “peace and friendship” to neighbouring states and warn enemies that “any miscalculation would meet a decisive response”.

The ground and naval exercises follow a 12-day air war between Israel and Iran in June, during which the US joined Israel in striking Iran's nuclear facilities.(Read more)

Lord, we just pray over Iran doing these missile tests. Give us insight into the purposes of these tests and any plans they are developing.

6. YouVersion Reveals 2025’s Most Popular Verse as Bible Reading Hits Record Levels - Crosswalk.com

For the fourth time in six years, the most read verse on the popular YouVersion Bible app is one reminding users that God is with them, even in the midst of trials.

YouVersion announced Thursday that Isaiah 41:10 was the most engaged-with verse of 2025, which the ministry said was a “testament to the enduring need for God’s reassurance in uncertain times.”

That Old Testament passage reads in the NIV, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

“I think this verse keeps rising to the top because it addresses one of our deepest needs, the assurance that we’re not alone,” said Bobby Gruenewald, founder and CEO of YouVersion. “In a world full of anxiety and uncertainty, people are drawn to God’s promise to be with us, to strengthen us, and to help us. That message never gets old because the need for it is universal and timeless.” (Read more)

Thank you for this report that Bible reading has hit all-time highs.  We thank You, especially for that Bible verse In Isaiah 41.10 that says you will never leave us.

"So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

The Daily Jot

Of Faces, Blessings, and a New Name

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, December 8, 2025

In Genesis 32–36, Vayishlach (And He Sent), Jacob prepares to meet Esau, uncertain whether his brother wants to kill him. He sends messengers ahead and learns Esau is approaching with 400 men, which shakes him to the core. Jacob divides his family, prays, and sends gifts in waves, doing everything within his power to protect the people he loves. That night, Scripture gives us one of its most mysterious moments. Jacob is left alone, and a man wrestles with him until the break of day. The struggle is fierce enough that his hip is dislocated, yet Jacob will not release his opponent. Hosea identifies the being as an angel, though Jacob himself knows he has encountered God. He names the place P’ni El, the face of God.

The wrestling man’s message is direct. Jacob will no longer be Ya’akov, the one who grasps the heel, but Israel, the one who wrestles with God and prevails. This moment isn’t an isolated episode. Jacob’s life has carried the theme of struggle from the womb forward—first with Esau, then over birthright and blessing, and later with Laban over wives, wages, and possessions. Yet the true covenant blessing didn’t rest in Esau’s material advantage. It passed through Jacob when Isaac knowingly spoke the Abrahamic promise over him: fruitfulness, multitudes, and the land sworn to Abraham. Jacob held that blessing, but he did not yet understand his identity. The wrestling match forces the issue. Even when wounded, Jacob refuses to let go unless the divine presence blesses him. ‘Frankly, a Very Authoritarian Government’
Labour-Led Britain Suspends Elections, Announces Rollout of China-Style Facial Recognition Cameras
Left-led UK government follows up attacking Magna Carta and frequent social media arrests by announcing it is yet again postponing elections and moving to introduce a nationwide facial camera recognition system.
Brexit leader Nigel Farage eviscerated the left-wing British government for piling depredations upon depredations on the British people, as they announced yet another postponement of local elections without good reason, on the same day they moved to roll out China-style facial recognition cameras.
Speaking at a Reform Party press conference, Mr Farage said of these “monstrous” changes:
…today’s the day we learn that there will be surveillance cameras not just in our big cities, but literally in every single village. The surveillance state is getting very, very close indeed.
And that, of course, in the same week that we learn the 800-year-right to trial-by-jury is to be abolished in the majority of cases… and of course despite not being in the manifesto, the government want to introduce digital I.D., leaving literally every single one of us in this country open to hackers.

And it is, frankly, a very authoritarian government. It doesn’t really believe in liberty, it doesn’t believe in individual freedom, and we learn it doesn’t really believe in democracy either.

The government already suspended elections across swathes of England last year, leading to accusations of cynical political calculus by the governing Labour Party as the areas impacted were predicted to be dramatic Reform Party gains. Now more elections are to be postponed, with four newly created mayoralities being pushed back two years to 2028.

Holy Father, this deeply concerning problem in the UK reminds us that wrong directions in governments can destroy freedoms for any citizenry. Only righteous people should govern nations, so we pray not only for England, we ask that You preserve the United States from this evil.

Trump to unleash $12B farm rescue as China trade reset hits US growers

President Donald Trump is poised to roll out a $12 billion farm aid package to support farmers, according to the White House.

The aid package will provide up to $11 billion toward the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) new Farmer Bridge Assistance Program, which is designed to provide single payments to row crop farmers, while the remaining $1 billion will go to farmers whose crops do not qualify for the program.

Further details will be hashed out as the USDA continues to evaluate market conditions, according to the White House.

The president is expected to unveil the new aid package at a Monday roundtable at the White House. Those expected to appear at the event include Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins, as well as corn, soybean, rice and other types of farmers. (Fox News) Read more here.

Father God, Thank you for President Trump releasing this aide package of $12 Billion dollars to help the row crop farmers who have lost revenue due to the tariffs with China. As this money is released to the new Farmers Bridge Assistance Program through the US Department of Agriculture, we ask that You watch over the $11 Billion payments given to our farmers.. We also ask that You watch over the other $1 Billion that will go to the farmers who do not qualify for the program. Thank you, God, that our President has now negotiated a better tariff deal with China and that China is now purchasing soybeans from the farmers once again. We ask You, Lord, to watch over everything that concerns America's finances. You are our provider!. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Israel unmasks Iran-directed Hamas cash network in Turkey as Ankara pushes for Gaza role
Iranian-backed financial operation uses Turkish infrastructure to fund terrorist group's rebuilding efforts

The Israel Defense Forces and Israel Security Agency have exposed what they describe as a secret Hamas money-exchange network operating in central Turkey "under Iran’s direction," according to documents and statements released this week.

According to the intelligence released by the IDF and ISA, exiled Gazans based in Turkey have used the country’s financial infrastructure to move large sums of money for Hamas, with transfers totaling hundreds of millions of dollars.

The agencies say the network operates in cooperation with the Iranian regime, transferring funds to Hamas and its senior officials and, according to Israel, helping the group rebuild its capabilities outside Gaza.

The newly exposed documents include records of currency transfers amounting to hundreds of thousands of dollars, which officials say represent only a small portion of the overall activity.

According to the Israeli security agencies, the network receives, stores, and transfers Iranian funds from within Turkey.

The IDF and ISA identified three Gazan operatives working in Turkey whom they say are central to the network: Tamer Hassan, described as a senior official in Hamas’s finance office in Turkey operating directly under Khalil al-Hayya, and currency exchangers Khalil Farwana and Farid Abu Dair.

Israel says Iran’s backing has remained constant and that Hamas continues to rebuild its operational capabilities beyond the borders of the Gaza Strip. (Fox News) Read more here.

Father God, we are not grateful to read this report, but we are blessed to see that this disturbing news has now been uncovered. We take up the Sword of the Spirit and we sever asunder the  cords of the wicked in Jesus' name: Iran from Turkey from Hamas. We thank You that under the mighty Hand of GOD, this system will be dismantled and collapse. In Your Name, Holy One, we offer this prayer, amen and amen!

"and when the Lord your God delivers them over to you, you shall conquer them and utterly destroy them. You shall make no covenant with them nor show mercy to them." (Deuteronomy 7:2)
And Now . . . Lion of Judah: ROAR!!!!

He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war.
He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud;
He shall prevail against His enemies."

Massive 7.6 earthquake near Japan coast triggers tsunami warnings

A 7.6-magnitude earthquake hit off Japan's coast on Monday night prompting tsunami warnings for coastal Japan.

The quake hit 45 miles (73 km) east-northeast of Misawa, Japan, Monday at 11:15 p.m. local time (9:15 a.m. EST).

The Japan Meteorological Agency issued a tsunami warning for the central Pacific coast of Hokkaido, Aomori Prefecture and Iwate Prefecture. The statement said the tsunami could be as high as 9.84 feet (3 meters). As of 12:30 a.m. local time, tsunamis had been reported at several areas, but none were above 1.64 feet (0.5 m), which was the reading at Kujiko.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said there was no threat to American Samoa, Hawaii, or the west coast of the United States.

There were few initial reports of shaking on land, but the USGS Earthquake Hazards Program "PAGER" product indicated a 30% chance of 1 to 10 deaths and a 35% chance of $1-$10 million in damage.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates. Read More
