Ryan Routh Sentenced to Life in Prison for Trump Assassination Attempt
|
|
Federal prosecutors sought a life sentence, saying that Routh had planned the shooting for months and did not express remorse for his actions.
A federal judge on Feb. 4 sentenced Ryan Routh to life in prison for attempting in 2024 to assassinate President Donald Trump, then a presidential candidate.
Routh was also sentenced to seven years behind bars on a gun charge and received a $500 fine.
During the sentencing hearing, prosecutors sought life imprisonment for his assassination plot, while the defense mounted broad but ultimately unsuccessful objections. (Epoch Times) Read More Here

FBI Releases New Images of Potential Suspect in Nancy Guthrie Kidnapping
|
|
The FBI on Feb. 10 released new images and videos showing a person outside the home of Nancy Guthrie, the mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie.
FBI Director Kash Patel shared the videos and still images on social media, showing a masked individual.
“Over the last eight days, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department have been working closely with our private sector partners to continue to recover any images or video footage from Nancy Guthrie’s home that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors—including the removal of recording devices. The video was recovered from residual data located in backend systems,” Patel wrote.
“Working with our partners—as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance.”
One 27-second video, labeled as from a Nest camera, shows the person approaching the front door of Nancy Guthrie’s residence and moving their hand around close to the camera.
Savannah Guthrie shared the pictures on Instagram. “We believe she is still alive. Bring her home,” she said.
“I will reiterate that the prayers of this entire White House are with Savannah and her family at this time, and we hope this person is found and that her mother is brought home safely,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters in Washington.(The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Netanyahu meets Witkoff, Kushner ahead of White House talks with Trump
|
|
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met Tuesday with U.S. Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff and White House senior adviser Jared Kushner ahead of scheduled talks with President Donald Trump at the White House on Wednesday.
The meeting, held at Blair House in Washington, focused on “regional issues,” the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office said, adding that Witkoff and Kushner briefed the premier on the first round of talks with Iran.
Other participants included Israeli Ambassador to the United States Yechiel Leiter and Netanyahu’s military secretary, Roman Gofman, according to a photo distributed by the PMO.
Netanyahu touched down in Washington just hours earlier for his seventh visit since Trump began his second term, saying the trip would focus on Iran, Gaza and other regional developments.
“I will present to the president our perspectives on the key principles in the negotiations—principles that, in my view, are important not only for Israel but for anyone in the world who seeks peace and security in the Middle East,” the premier said on the tarmac at Ben-Gurion Airport.
Netanyahu was also scheduled to meet U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio at 9 a.m. local time on Wednesday, about two hours before his private Oval Office meeting with Trump, according to the State Department. (JNS.org) Read more here.

Satellite Imagery Shows Iran Sealing Isfahan Nuclear Tunnels — ‘Seriously Concerned’ About Strike

New satellite imagery shows Iran has buried the entrances to a hardened tunnel complex at its Isfahan nuclear site — a move a U.S.-based watchdog said signals Tehran is “seriously concerned” about a U.S. or Israeli strike or raid.
High-resolution imagery taken Monday shows the extent to which Iran has covered the tunnel entrances at the Isfahan nuclear complex with soil, the Institute for Science and International Security reported, saying the middle and southern entrances are now “unrecognizable and fully covered” and the northernmost entrance has also been backfilled.
The institute said no vehicle activity is visible around the three entrances, indicating access points have been blocked and the work appears complete.
“It appears clear that the Iranians are seriously concerned about a US/Israeli aerial attack and/or raid against this particularly hardened nuclear facility,” the institute assessed, arguing the backfilling would help dampen any potential airstrike and make ground access in a special forces raid — aimed at seizing or destroying highly enriched uranium — far more difficult.
The institute added it is also possible Iran moved equipment or material into the tunnels for protection, though it said that cannot be confirmed from imagery alone, noting that similar preparations were observed in the days before Operation Midnight Hammer struck Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan last June.
The Jerusalem Post, citing experts reviewing the imagery, cast the activity as part of a broader defensive push around the Islamic Republic’s most sensitive nuclear and missile infrastructure. (Breitbart) Read more here.

Texas Investigating Dubai-Based Developer Over ‘Sharia City’ Concerns

|
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is investigating a “potentially illegal” development backed by a Dubai-based company in rural Kaufman County just months after filing a lawsuit against a Muslim development outside of Dallas.
A U.S. subsidiary of SEE Holding, headquartered in Dubai, purchased thousands of acres near Kaufman in connection with Kaufman Solar LLC, according to the attorney general’s office.
The potential development is billed as a net-zero “sustainable city,” similar to others the company has built in the Middle East. Paxton is investigating resident concerns that it could become a Sharia law enclave and attract as many as 20,000 foreign nationals.
Paxton stated he is committed to “stopping any illegal development that violates our laws, harms Texas, and undermines our values,” according to a Feb. 10 release.
His office requested documents from both businesses regarding communications with local city, school, county, and state officials. The request also included documents showing the relationship between the two companies and their real estate acquisitions.
“There will be no ‘Sharia city’ in Texas under my watch,” Attorney General Ken Paxton said in a statement.
“While you’re on American soil, you will obey America’s laws. I have launched this investigation to determine the nature of this development in Kaufman County and will be thoroughly investigating this matter for any unlawful actions.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday signed papers to revoke the Israeli citizenship of two terrorists and deport them. It is the first-ever implementation of a law passed by a majority of 94 of the 120-member Knesset in 2023.
“This morning I signed the revocation of citizenship and deportation of two Israeli terrorists who carried out stabbing and shooting attacks against Israeli civilians and were rewarded by the Palestinian Authority for their criminal acts,” the prime minister said.
Many more such terrorists would be deported, he added.

4. IDF deploys forces against trucks seen along Egyptian border for second time in 24 hours - report - Jerusalem Post
The IDF will not launch an offensive against the white pickup trucks spotted approximately 100 meters from the Israel-Egypt border, a report said on Wednesday.
This was the second incident of pickup trucks being spotted along that border in 24 hours.
According to Ynet, IDF observers were monitoring the situation, and the Egyptian army was “at the scene and working to remove the residents in these trucks.”
The report came after public broadcaster KAN reported that the IDF would carry out “measured fire” against the trucks, further noting that it had deployed tanks, an attack helicopter, and drones to the area. (Read more)

5. Authorities foil hundreds of Iranian cyberattacks on senior Israeli figures

Israeli security authorities revealed a sharp increase in Iran-linked cyberattack attempts targeting senior officials, academics, journalists, and other public figures on Wednesday.
In the past year, “hundreds of cyberattack attempts were made against Israeli figures, including senior government officials, senior security officials, academics and media figures,” the National Cyber Directorate and the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet).
The surge, authorities noted, is linked in part to Iranian intelligence activity.
“As part of a combined operation by the [Shin Bet] and the National Cyber Directorate, a significant increase in attempts by Iranian intelligence elements to hack into private Google accounts and private phone messaging apps of senior government officials, past and present security officials, security industry officials, journalists, academics and various citizens has been identified in recent months,” particulary since the Iran-Israel war of June, the agencies said. Job growth was stronger than expected to start 2026, providing some relief to concerns about the state of the U.S. labor market.
Nonfarm payrolls increased by 130,000 for January, above the Dow Jones consensus estimate for 55,000, according to seasonally adjusted figures the Bureau of Labor Statistics released Wednesday. The total also was an improvement over December, which saw a gain of 48,000 after a slight downward revision.
The unemployment rate edged lower to 4.3%, below the forecast to stay unchanged at 4.4% from the prior month. A more encompassing measure that includes discouraged workers and those holding part-time positions for economic reasons slipped to 8%, down 0.4 percentage point from December. (Read more)

5. Grooming Gang Survivors Say British Girls Were Trafficked to Pakistan as Sex Slaves - Breitbart
The predominantly Muslim child rape grooming gangs likely trafficked “countless” British women and girls to their native Pakistan to serve as sex slaves, the head of the independent rape gang inquiry has said.
MP Rupert Lowe, who launched an independent inquiry into the mass child rape that occurred throughout England at the hands of clans of mostly Pakistani Muslim men, has called on the government to launch an investigation into cases of missing girls in grooming areas to determine whether they may have been trafficked to Pakistan as sex slaves.
The inquiry, which began in London last week, heard testimony from rape gang survivors that their abusers had attempted to take them to Pakistan. One victim told the inquiry: “They said they wanted to take me back to meet their families. So luckily I didn’t have a passport, otherwise I might not be sat here right now.” Lowe said that multiple witness statements have stated that sexually abused girls were being trafficked to Pakistan and elsewhere by their rapists. A video is going viral of a congressional candidate in North Carolina admitting she is truly a "progressive" even though she is running as a Republican. "Are you trying to trick people?" Katie Barr, who is running in North Carolina's 14th Congressional District, was asked on a podcast called "The Hometown Holler."
"If you go on the campaign website, above the fold as they call it, is like, 'I'm not a real Republican.' Like, I am telling people the truth. I knock on a door and say, ‘I am running in the Republican primary, but I am not a Republican, I am a progressive,’" Barr responded. "I can't claim a Democrat anymore."
She added that her goal is not "to pull a fast one," claiming she is just "being dead honest with people about what I would do if I win." (Read more)

The effort to shape public opinion on the political left has crossed from spin into something far more reckless. On the floor of the United States Senate, Illinois Democrat Senator Dick Durbin displayed an AI-generated image that he claimed depicted the fatal shooting of Minneapolis resident Alex Pretti. The image was not authentic, contained obvious visual flaws, and misrepresented key facts about the agencies involved. Yet it was presented as evidence in a high-profile speech meant to inflame emotion and harden opinion. This was not a minor misstatement or an honest error. It was a calculated use of fabricated imagery to frame a political argument, knowing that most viewers would never question what they were shown.
That same instinct to manage perception rather than present reality showed when CNN rigged a “town hall” meeting. A recent Minnesota town hall promoted as a public forum was anything but organic. Critics documented how CNN carefully recruited participants and questioners to tilt the conversation in one ideological direction, heavily favoring left-leaning activists and donors. Town halls are supposed to reflect the voice of a community. When they are stage-managed to produce a preferred outcome, they become political theater masquerading as journalism. This kind of manipulation deepens public distrust and reinforces the belief that major media organizations are no longer committed to fairness, balance, or transparency. Read More

Mexican Cartel Drone Penetrates U.S. Airspace, FAA Responds with Deadly-Force Lockdown

A cartel drone incursion over El Paso prompted the FAA’s unprecedented national‑defense airspace shutdown over El Paso and eastern New Mexico, according to Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy. The incident raises new questions about cross‑border threats as federal agencies remain silent on the details.
Secretary Duffy says a cartel drone breach forced the FAA to lock down El Paso’s airspace under a deadly‑force order, even as other federal agencies refuse to explain why the emergency was imposed — or why it was lifted within hours. Breitbart Texas reached out to the Department of Transportation, the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and other federal agencies for additional information. No response has been received at this time.
In a post on social media, Duffy wrote: “The FAA and DOW acted swiftly to address a cartel drone incursion. The threat has been neutralized, and there is no danger to commercial travel in the region.”
The secretary announced that the airspace restrictions had been lifted and that all flights had resumed. FAA officials also posted about the sudden lifting of the unprecedented announcement of a ten-day closure of the airspace over El Paso and the surrounding areas.
It is unclear who ordered the ten-day shutdown or what action was taken to address the perceived danger to air traffic around El Paso.
Breitbart Texas has reported extensively on Mexican cartels’ use of weaponized drones. It is not clear if any alleged drone incursion included a weaponized drone, a drug trafficking drone, or simply a cartel surveillance drone. (Breitbart)

Father God, we are so grateful that we have a Department of War who is "on the ball" and lets nothing escape their attention. We thank You, Father God, that these drones were identified and taken down before any harm could be done in either El Paso, Texas or Santa Rosa, NM. Now that the cartels are using drones in warfare, we ask for Your continued grace to fall upon all FAA authorities so that our nation is protected from harm. President Trump met with Prime Minister Netanyahu for just short of three hours and described the meeting as very good, emphasizing the strength of the U.S.–Israel relationship. However, he made clear that no final decision was reached regarding Iran policy.
Trump stated that he did not request the continuation of negotiations with Iran solely to preserve the appearance of diplomatic progress. He clarified to Netanyahu that his current position is to assess whether a rollback agreement is realistically achievable.
Conditional Warning
The President emphasized that if a deal cannot be reached, the consequences will follow. He referenced what he called Operation 'Midnight Hammer,' stating that the last time Iran chose not to reach an agreement, it 'did not work out well for Iran.'
This serves as a clear reminder that the military option remains available and credible.
The Key Word
In his public statement following the meeting, President Trump used a critical word: he said he ‘prefers’ negotiation at this stage rather than military action.
The word 'prefers' is significant. It signals diplomatic openness without eliminating force as a potential outcome. This is not a commitment to restraint — it is a sequencing of strategy.

The House of Representatives passed a massive election integrity overhaul bill on Wednesday despite opposition from the vast majority of Democrats.
The House passed Rep. Chip Roy's SAVE America Act, legislation that's aimed at keeping non-citizens from voting in U.S. federal elections. All but one House Democrat — Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas — voted against the bill. It passed 218 to 213.
It is an updated version of the Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, also led by Roy, R-Texas, which passed the House in April 2025 but was never taken up in the Senate.
Whereas the SAVE Act would create a new federal proof of citizenship mandate in the voter registration process and impose requirements for states to keep their rolls clear of ineligible voters, the updated bill would also require photo ID to vote in any federal elections.
It would also require information-sharing between state election officials and federal authorities in verifying citizenship on current voter rolls and enable the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to pursue immigration cases if non-citizens were found to be listed as eligible to vote.
Democrats have attacked the bill as tantamount to voter suppression, while Republicans argue that it's necessary after the influx of millions of illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. during the four years of the Biden administration.
"If we want to rebuild confidence again in American elections, we need to pass the SAVE Act," Rep. Mike Haridopolos, R-Fla., told Fox News Digital. "What better way to eliminate that distrust than to make sure that whoever votes in an American citizen who is truly eligible to vote?"
House Minority Whip Katherine Clark, D-Mass., accused Republicans of trying to make it harder for women to vote. She argued that the legislation would make it more difficult for married women to cast ballots if their surname is different from their maiden name on their birth certificate.
"Republicans aren't worried about non-citizens voting. They're afraid of actual American citizens voting. Why? Because they're losing among women," Clark said during debate on the House floor. "This is a minefield of red tape that you have put in front of women and American citizens and their right to vote."
But House GOP Policy Committee Chairman Kevin Hern, R-Okla., emphasized that it was about keeping illegal immigrants from voting in U.S. elections.
"This really is about feeding the narrative that Democrats want illegally from all over the world to come here to support them," Hern said of Democrats' opposition.
Republican Study Committee Chairman August Pfluger, R-Texas, told Fox News Digital, "The American people did not give Republicans a mandate to make excuses. They gave us one to deliver wins, and the SAVE America Act is exactly that. Every single Democrat who voted no today proved they would rather let illegal aliens tip the scales in our national elections than protect your vote."
If implemented, the bill could see new requirements imposed on voters in this year's November midterm elections.
But it would have to pass the Senate, where current rules dictate that at least several Democrats are needed to meet the 60-vote threshold to overcome a filibuster. (Fox News)

NASA has released a spectacular photo of February's full "Snow Moon" rising behind the Artemis 2 Space Launch System (SLS) rocket, capturing both the rocket and its destination ahead of its historic mission to orbit Earth's natural satellite with a crew of four astronauts.
Why is it amazing?
The photo shows the Snow Moon, which is named after the heavy snowfall common throughout February, rising behind the upper section of SLS as it sat waiting at Launch Pad 39B of NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Feb. 1.
The Space Launch System rocket is NASA's modern day answer to the Apollo-era Saturn V and has been billed as a vital component of the agency's Artemis program, which seeks to return astronauts to the lunar surface for the first time in over 50 years.
What is it?
Only the very top of the rocket is visible, composed of the Launch Abort System tower and its white fairings, which form an outer shield over the Orion Spacecraft, hiding it from view as it sits atop the orange structural adaptor connecting the spacecraft with its workhorse core stage.
The Crew Access Arm is also visible bridging the rocket and tower, with the "White Room" at its end emblazoned with the Artemis logo. This will be the final stop for NASA's Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen before they take their seats in the Orion spacecraft, bound for the far side of the moon.
