'Listening to the Lord:'
Liberty Students Detox from Phones to Pursue Christ
|
|
Today's technology offers many benefits, although it can also be a major distraction for college students.
Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, has found that such distraction can prevent young people from reaching their full potential. That's why the school encouraged students to log off for the entire month of February. Students across campus have unplugged from social media, entertainment, and online shopping. It is all part of the school's second annual Digital Rest initiative which encourages them to deepen their connection with God and others instead of scrolling for hours.
"I am constantly getting notifications from, if it's Instagram, social media, Facebook, text, emails, and so it's definitely hard during the day when you're trying to focus," senior Isaiah Varella told CBN News.
Josh Rutledge serves as vice president of spiritual development at Liberty. He sees the university's initiative as disrupting the smartphone's hold on students and, hopefully, its connection to the national rise of certain mental health issues. (CBN) Read More or Watch Video Here

Abba Father, we are grateful for the Liberty University initiative challenging students to unplug from social media, entertainment and all that hinders their daily walk with the Lord. We pray the setting down of cell phones will bring life-changing blessings for each, causing a deeper love for Christ and the Word of God. In the Name of Jesus, we declare this 28-day 'Digital Rest' initiative will form permanent habits, giving each student a spirit of peace, joy and spiritual connection with the Lord and one another! In the powerful Name and Blood of Yeshua, we pray- Amen.
"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." (Romans 12:2)

‘The Hand of Providence’: Trump Touts Admin. Victories, Addresses Economic Worries, Celebrates Patriotism in SOTU
|
|
President Donald Trump delivered the first official State of the Union address of his second term on Tuesday night, touting his second administration’s achievements, especially regarding border security and public safety, addressing concerns over economic hardship and affordability, and casting Democrats as incompetents and traitors. The president framed the actions of his second administration as a return to common sense and a restoration of the American spirit.
“Our country is winning again. In fact, we’re winning so much that we really don’t know what to do about it. People are asking me, ‘Please, please, please, Mr. President, we’re winning too much. We can’t take it anymore. We’re not used to winning in our country,’” Trump said. “‘Until you came along, we were just always losing, but now we’re winning too much.’ And I say, ‘No, no, no, you’re going to win again. You’re going to win big, you’re going to win bigger than ever.”
In order to “prove that point,” the president welcomed the U.S. men’s hockey team that just won the Olympic gold medal. The young men, American flags emblazoned across their chests, marched into the House of Representatives chamber to chants of “USA,” but they were only a few of the many guests that the president had invited to sit in the gallery for the auspicious occasion. Over the course of the nearly-two-hour speech, the president lauded his invited guests as exemplars of American virtue or shared their suffering with the nation, vowing to ensure that Americans are not hurt in the same way.

Abba, thank You for putting Your son, Donald, into the White House as our President. Thank You for going before him as he implements his agenda of Making America Great Again. We ask for Your hand to continue guiding and directing his steps. Father God, we ask You to keep his heart humble before You, that he acknowledges You as the source of all that has been accomplished through him since taking office. Holy Spirit, send out angels to make his path straight and out of harm's way, and send warrior angels into the heavenlies to bring down the strongholds of hate, strife, division, and death. Let Your heart for our world be established "on earth as it is in heaven". We ask this in the name El Shaddai, God Almighty, the All Sufficient God.
"Restore us, Lord God Almighty; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved." (Psalm 80:19)

Fear of Islamization of U.S. Sparks a Sharia-Free America Caucus in Congress
|
|
Forty Republican members of the U.S. House of Representatives are joining forces in a new congressional caucus to combat what they view as a rapidly growing movement pushing for the Islamization of America as is happening in Great Britain and elsewhere in Europe.
Rep. Keith Self and Rep. Chip Roy, both of Texas, are co-founders of the Sharia-Free America Caucus that seeks to focus public and official attention and action on the multiple ways that the Islamization movement is making rapid progress in establishing large city-scaled developments exclusively available to Muslims transplanted to the U.S. from the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
“The American way of life is under siege by radicals from a culture waging war against our Constitution and Western values. We’ve seen what happens when nations allow this infiltration: countries like France and England are on the verge of losing their identity and sovereignty. The same forces are at play here in America today, and if we don’t stop them, they will conquer our country too,” Self said in announcing the formation of the new caucus. (Washington Stand) Read more

Abba, help! The enemy is working through Islam to establish Muslim strongholds here in the US where Sharia Law would govern. Father God, this is not what You intended for the US, or for any other country for that matter. We come before You and ask You to put a stop to every development having been or being developed based on Islamic Law or any derivative of this type of governance. We ask Holy Spirit to move across our country and awaken hearts to this evil plan, raising a huge outcry against this satanic plot attacking the foundations of our nation. Jesus, we ask You to move through the Muslim neighborhoods changing minds and hearts about You, drawing thousands to Your love. Reveal Your heart cry for each one who has been deceived or enslaved. We ask You to save every heart that is willing to draw near. We ask this in the name of Kadosh, the Holy One.
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." (Proverbs 9:10)

JD Vance spearheads 'war on fraud,' promises to root out taxpayer money 'stolen' by illegal immigrants
|
|
Vice President JD Vance spelled out his role in leading the administration’s newly declared "war on fraud" Wednesday after President Donald Trump announced the effort during his State of the Union address.
"I don't know what the top line number is, and I think that's unfortunate, that nobody has ever tried to take a systematic look at how much fraud there is in the federal government," Vance said on "America's Newsroom."
"How many illegal aliens are on Medicaid? We know that it's billions and billions of dollars that should go to American citizens. It's going to illegal aliens. How many fraudulent daycare centers have been set up where that money should go to American citizens to help their kids get into childcare? Instead, it's being stolen from them by illegal aliens in our country..."
Vance raised concerns that government officials may have "gotten wealthy" or have received campaign donations from fraud benefactors by being "complicit" in the malpractice. (Fox News) Read more

|
Abba, thank You for bringing into the light the fraud taking place all over our country. We ask You to ensure that nothing is missed as Vice President Vance takes responsibility for exposing the extent of this fraud and bringing those responsible to justice. We ask Holy Spirit to go before those working with the Vice President, providing vision and knowledge of what is hidden and the wisdom and understanding of what needs to be done once revealed. Jesus, we ask for Your truth to come out revealing every illegal immigrant and state official who has refused to abide by the rules of our land. We ask that they be punished to the greatest extent of the law possible. We ask that all involved be judged liable for the dollars stolen and required to pay back every cent that was fraudulently taken. We ask this in the name of Shaphat, our Judge.
"Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy."
(Proverbs 31:9)

O’Keefe Media Group Goes Undercover: Cattle Ranchers and Insiders Expose How Tyson, JBS, Cargill and National Beef Secretly Control America’s Beef Market (VIDEO)
|
|
|
The O’Keefe Media Group went undercover at CattleCon in Nashville, Tennessee, and exposed how Tyson, JBS, Cargill and National Beef secretly control America’s beef market.
In November, President Trump said cattle prices were falling while beef prices kept rising and launched an investigation into price manipulation.
Trump directed the DOJ to investigate the meat packing companies who are driving up the prices through illicit collusion, price fixing and price manipulation.
“Our team spoke directly with ranchers and industry partners, documenting firsthand how the “Big Four” dominate the market and impact pricing,” James O’Keefe said. “They [Big Four] are buying like all the companies in the United States… so they don’t have competition,” one insider said. Abba, thank You for exposing the reasons behind the outrageous price of beef in our country! Father God, we ask You to take this video and use it to put a stop to these 4 mega corporations illegally controlling the price of beef and lining their own pockets at the same time. Holy Spirit, we ask You to move on the hearts of all involved in this price fixing, reveal to them that they have been exposed and pour over them the Fear of God. Give each a vision of how God Almighty sees what they are doing and His disapproval of the cheating they are involved in. We ask for a change of mind and heart in those who have been "found out", give them good reason to seek Your face and Your forgiveness. We ask this in the name Jehovah Sabaoth, The Lord of Hosts, the God who is able to accomplish what He determines to do.
"For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins." (Colossians 1:13-14)

3. Governments issue warnings, evacuations amid escalating tensions
- World Israel News
Governments are increasingly moving to protect their citizens as fears of regional escalation grow.
On Wednesday, the Australian government ordered family members of its diplomats stationed in Israel and Lebanon to leave both countries, citing what it described as a “deteriorating security situation in the Middle East.”
Canberra also advised Australian nationals to depart Israel and Lebanon using commercial flights while it remains possible, signaling concern that travel routes could soon become restricted if tensions worsen.
The move followed similar warnings issued a day earlier by Germany’s Federal Foreign Office, which released an advisory to German citizens in Israel and Lebanon amid escalating tensions between the United States and Iran and growing fears of potential military action. (Read more)

4. Huckabee: 'Threats facing Israel also threaten the United States'
- Israel National News
The Knesset Caucus for Israel-US Relations, initiated by the Ruderman Family Foundation, convened today at the Knesset with participation from U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana, senior Israeli officials, and members of Knesset, for a discussion on strengthening the strategic relationship between Israel, the United States, and American Jewry.
Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Huckabee warned that the security threats facing Israel have direct implications for the United States.
“There are many countries with which we have alliances. But there is only one country in the world with which we have a truly unique partnership - and that is Israel," Huckabee said. “The freedom you enjoy here, which is threatened every day by enemies like Iran, is also a threat to the United States. Many Americans do not think about this because Iran is thousands of miles away. But for 48 years Iran has brought terror to America, killed Americans, and is working to build a global nuclear threat." (Read more)

1. Dow drops 800 points as AI disruption fears and tariff woes weigh on markets: CNBC
The three leading U.S. indexes finished Monday’s session in negative territory.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average slid 821.91 points, or 1.66%, to close at 48,804.06. The S&P 500 dropped 1.04% to 6,837.75, while the Nasdaq Composite declined 1.13% to 22,627.27.
President Donald Trump increasing global tariffs to 15% from 10% shouldn’t pose much of a threat to the economy, according to Angelo Kourkafas of Edward Jones.
“In our view, the newly announced 15% tariff rate is unlikely to have a meaningful impact on economic activity, and we expect tariff rates to remain elevated compared to history, even after the Section 122 tariffs expire as the administration pursues other avenues to implement tariffs,” the senior global investment strategist said.
“We advise investors not to overreact to headlines, and we reiterate our constructive outlook for global equity markets, supported by strong corporate profit growth and healthy economic activity,” he continued. (Read more)

2. New York Legalizes Physician Assisted Suicide - Crosswalk.com
The nation has come a very long way since the controversy and trials of Dr. Jack Kevorkian and the day and time in which we live. It’s ironic to recognize that he was convicted of murder back in the 1990s, and today, there are now 13 states (plus Washington, DC) that allow physician-assisted suicide, with New York being the most recent. New York Governor Kathy Hochul signed the practice into law for New York on February 9, according to BEGA.
In a website statement picked up by CBN, she said that her decision to sign physician-assisted suicide into law was “an incredibly difficult decision,” and that “my mother died of ALS, and I am all too familiar with the pain of seeing someone you love suffer and being powerless to stop it.”
Matt Sharp with Alliance Defending Freedom said that he believes that states allowing physician-assisted suicide are creating a situation in which some of the most vulnerable in American society, “those with disabilities” and “older Americans,” may experience a gradual decline in their quality of care.
“We've seen time and again, when you pass these laws, there becomes this sense of coercion of those individuals to say, 'Oh, you're too much of a burden on your family, or you're too much of a drain on the medical system,’” he said.
“We expect there's possibly more dominoes that will fall as far as other states legalizing assisted suicide, which we find, of course, very unfortunate. And we're following the footsteps of Canada, which has legalized throughout the entire country,” Vice President of Advocacy and Bioethics for the Christian Medical and Dental Association, Dr. Bick Lantz, told CBN News. 3. More than 600,000 homes and businesses without power as 32 inches of snow falls on US east coast - BBC
Millions across the US north-east remain under a state of emergency after a severe winter storm brought nearly two feet of snow in some places, along with high winds and cold temperatures. Parts of Canada's Atlantic Coast have also been affected.
New York's Central Park recorded almost 20in (51cm) of snow, according to the National Weather Center, and Providence, Rhode Island, received 33in (83cm) of snow, smashing the existing record for the single greatest snowstorm, 28.6in (72.6cm) set in February 1978.
The snow has started to taper off, but with so much on the ground, it could take several days for life to return to normal on the East Coast.
Here is where things stand at the moment: (Go here)

Lord, we pray for those on the east coast who are experiencing this heavy snowfall. We pray power will be restored and protection for people's lives and property.

Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand."

5. Dem AGs plot to thwart Trump election interference - POLITICO
Democratic attorneys general are bracing for President Donald Trump to interfere in the midterm elections — and war-gaming how to stop him.
The party’s top prosecutors have been strategizing for months about how to counter a series of increasingly extreme scenarios they fear could play out this fall. They have huddled in hotel conference rooms and over Zoom meetings to run tabletop exercises anticipating the president’s moves and choreographing responses.
They’re preparing for the administration to potentially confiscate ballots and voting machines, strip resources from the postal service to disrupt the delivery of mail ballots, and send military members and immigration agents to polling locations to intimidate voters. They’re readying motions for temporary restraining orders to preserve election materials and remove armed forces from voting sites.
And, as the president attempts to assert federal control over elections, seize voter data and relitigate false claims of fraud from 2020, they’re monitoring Trump and his allies’ every word about elections for clues about what his administration could do next.
“[Trump] wants to continue to have his party prevail, seemingly by whatever means necessary,” California Attorney General Rob Bonta said. “So we have to be ready for that, sad and tragic as it is.” (Read more)

6. Israeli flag raised for the first time atop Mount Sartaba in the Jordan Valley - Israel National News
For the first time, the Israeli flag was raised today (Monday) on the summit of Mount Sartaba, a historic site in the Jordan Valley. The initiative, led by the Ministry of Heritage, is part of a broader series of symbolic actions at historic sites across Judea and Samaria, aimed at strengthening the connection to Jewish heritage.
Rising approximately 650 meters above sea level, Mount Sartaba is closely associated with the Second Temple period. The flag, now visible from afar, marks Israel’s presence in this strategically significant area.
The summit is more than a geographic landmark; it holds deep religious and national significance. During the era of the Mishnah and Talmud, the mountain served as one of the main stations for a network of signal fires, which transmitted news of the new month from Jerusalem to Babylon.
Remnants of an ancient fortress built by Hasmonean King Alexander Jannaeus still stand on the mountain, reflecting the dynasty’s historic connection to the Jordan Valley.
Raising the flag is the first step toward a larger event planned for Rosh Chodesh Nisan. Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu announced that the ministry will revive the ancient tradition of lighting signal fires on the summit, echoing practices from antiquity.
“We are reclaiming what is ours," Minister Eliyahu said. “With God’s help, on Rosh Chodesh Nisan, we will light the fires on the summit as in the days of the Mishnah-a signal that then, as today, sends a clear message to Jews around the world: the people of Israel live, and they are walking across their historic land." Daily Jot Special Report: A Chamber Divided, A Nation Watching
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, February 25, 2026
President Donald Trump delivered what is being described as the longest State of the Union address in American history, a sweeping, unapologetic vision for the country’s future. It struck a confident tone about where America stands and where it is headed. I was reminded of the optimism that once filled the House chamber during the years of Ronald Reagan when I watched him deliver his state of the union speeches from the House gallery. There was a similar cadence of resolve. Trump laid out what he described as a year of significant progress despite relentless opposition from major news outlets and nearly unified resistance from congressional Democrats. The theme was unmistakable: America is back and stronger than ever.
Woven neatly with recognition of real Americans to underscore accomplishments, his speech was a ledger of policy victories. The president cited renewed tax cuts, citing that no Democrat voted for them, drawing visible applause from the Democratic side at that particular line. He pointed to cooling inflation, stronger job growth, expanded domestic energy production, tightened border enforcement, and new trade leverage abroad. He referenced rebuilding the military, standing with law enforcement, and accelerating American manufacturing. He highlighted faith initiatives, parental rights in education, and policies aimed at protecting minors from medical gender transitions without parental consent. Through much of it, Republicans and guests rose repeatedly. Democrats largely remained seated and stoic. Read More

Child predator dubbed 'monster parents fear most' cleared for release through California parole program
|
|
|
|
A California child molester once described by a judge as "the monster parents fear the most" has been cleared for release under the state’s elderly parole program, a decision local law enforcement says puts communities at risk and prosecutors are now scrambling to stop.
David Allen Funston, 64, was sentenced in 1999 after a Sacramento County jury found him guilty of 16 felony counts for a series of abductions involving children younger than 7.
Funston received more than 20 years in prison plus three consecutive terms of 25 years to life. After serving more than two decades behind bars, he became eligible for consideration under California’s Elderly Parole Program.
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) confirmed to Fox News Digital that
Funston was granted parole suitability by the Board of Parole Hearings Sept. 26, 2025.
Sacramento County Sheriff Jim Cooper said that determination is wrong.

Holy and Righteous King, this is revolting but not shocking knowing how desperately the powers of California are seeking to deepen fear within the hearts of the state population. We pray Mighty God that this man is placed in a dwelling far away from all children and remains without access to internet, in the name of Jesus.

Is Africa Splitting In Two? Here’s Why Scientists Think That The Continent Is Breaking Apart
|
|
Africa's split is due to tectonic activity in the Great Rift Valley that will eventually divide the continent and create a new, sixth ocean.
Earth has seven continents: Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia. At this moment in history, that is fact, but it wasn’t always the case. Hundreds of millions of years ago, there was only a single supercontinent known as Pangea. And millions of years in the future, there may be a new continent — because Africa is splitting.
Indeed, scientists have known for the past two decades that Africa is gradually splitting apart. The first crack appeared in 2005 after an earthquake struck Ethiopia. This 35-mile-long fissure has continued to widen at a rate of half an inch per year — but below the surface lies an even greater divide.
The small fissure is linked to the 22-million-year-old, 4,000-mile-long East African Rift System, which extends from Jordan to Mozambique. It could one day become so deep that it splits the continent, creating a new ocean. (AllThatsInteresting) Read More
