As Lawsuits Multiply, Transgender Reversal Movement Gains Momentum
|
|
[WashingtonStand.com] Lawsuits filed by young people who were permanently disfigured by procedures attempting to reassign gender are multiplying, and more and more professional medical associations are backing away from endorsing the procedures for minors. Experts like Walt Heyer, who formerly spent eight years living a transgender lifestyle, say it's just the beginning of a burgeoning movement.
On January 30, a New York jury awarded 22-year-old woman Fox Varian $2 million after she sued a psychologist and a plastic surgeon for deviating from standard medical practice and informed consent when they pushed her toward getting a double mastectomy at the age of 16 amid feelings of confusion over her identity as a female. Three weeks later, the Center For American Liberty announced that a court date of April 5 had been set for Chloe Cole, the 21-year-old national advocate against transgender procedures, who is suing Kaiser Foundation Hospitals for green-lighting gender reassignment procedures that included a double mastectomy and hormones when she was only 15.
The rapidly changing landscape toward widespread disavowal of so-called gender reassignment procedures for minors is now enveloping professional medical associations, who were once the primary advocates of the procedures. On February 3, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) became the first major medical association to publicly recommend against the procedures for minors, stating that surgeons should "delay gender-related breast/chest, genital, and facial surgery until a patient is at least 19 years old." In response to ASPS' announcement, the American Medical Association (AMA) appeared to partially reverse its position as well, stating that it "agrees with ASPS that surgical interventions in minors should be generally deferred to adulthood." Lord, we celebrate hospitals being made accountable for gender-reassignment surgeries on young teens. We pray for restorative healing for each child who has come to regret their decision. Break all deception and lies, coming from the pit of hell, giving parents a false choice between their child either 'committing suicide' or simply receiving gender surgery. We rejoice in hearing the "American Society of Plastic Surgeons" and the "American Medical Association" is now recommending a delay until a patient is at least 19 years old. We pray in the Name of Jesus that struggling children would receive sound mental-health counsel and each be affirmed of their perfect God-given gender and His steadfast love for them! By the Blood and powerful Name of Jesus Christ we pray- Amen.

FBI subpoena of phone records leaves Trump chief of staff 'in shock': report
|
|
White House chief of staff Susie Wiles was reportedly in shock after hearing that the FBI under former President Joe Biden subpoenaed her and current FBI Director Kash Patel's phone records in 2022 and 2023.
Wiles — who ran President Donald Trump's 2024 campaign — reportedly told associates, "I am in shock," Axios reported on Thursday.
Reuters first disclosed the subpoenas, which were issued during the Biden administration, while special counsel Jack Smith was investigating Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election and his handling of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago.
The subpoenaed toll records included phone numbers and the dates and times of calls, but not the content of the conversations, Fox News has learned.
In 2023, the FBI recorded a phone call between Wiles and her attorney, two FBI officials told Fox News. Additionally, the officials said Wiles' attorney was aware that the call was being recorded and consented, but the now-White House chief of staff did not.

Dr. Oz: Cuban Migrants Escape to Havana with Millions in Stolen Medicare Cash
|

Cuban migrants are ripping off American taxpayers via Medicare fraud and then fleeing back to Cuba with the cash, a top administration official told Fox News.
“This fraud is weaponized … often by foreign nationals,” said Mehmet Oz, also known as Dr. Oz, who runs President Donald Trump’s Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). “We can’t allow it to continue,” he said as he described how migrants steal government funds intended to supply medical devices, such as wheelchairs, to sick Americans.
Oz said that CMS has put a six-month “nationwide moratorium” on the approval of “new durable medical equipment” businesses in the U.S. He explained that in some of the fraud cases, many from businesses owned by Cuban nationals, the suppliers are not providing equipment, such as government-funded wheelchairs and canes, but are instead stealing Americans’ beneficiary numbers and creating fake businesses to embezzle taxpayer funds.

1. IDF strikes Hezbollah terror infrastructure in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley - JNS
The Israel Defense Forces struck infrastructure of the Iranian-backed Hezbollah terrorist organization in the Baalbek area of Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley on Thursday.
The strike targeted Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force, which for years trained to invade Israel’s north and seize communities under a plan known as the “Galilee invasion,” and on which Hamas modeled its cross-border invasion from Gaza to massacre 1,200 people in southern Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.
In a subsequent statement, the IDF confirmed that it had struck eight Radwan Force compounds that were used to “store weapons, train terrorists and plan attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians.” (Read more)

Some Israeli officials are considering paying compensation in a small number of high-profile cases in which Palestinians were killed during the war, The Jerusalem Post has learned.
The idea has many similarities to Israel’s compensation deal with Turkey after the 2010 Mavi Marmara flotilla incident.
One of the goals would be to free Israel from the trap it has been in with its critics in the form of a black-and-white war crimes debate which posed a false choice: Is Israel all evil or all good? Israel and India agreed to allow an additional 50,000 Indian citizens to work in Israel over the next five years, according to a Thursday announcement from Randhir Jaiswal, the spokesperson for India's External Affairs Ministry.
This update was part of a "List of 27 Outcomes" from the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent visit to Israel, which Jaiswal published on X/Twitter.
The "27 Outcomes" also included providing Indian workers increased access to jobs in Israel's manufacturing and food service sectors.
Modi and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also signed memorandums of understanding in the fields of agriculture, geophysical exploration, heritage, science, education, economy, cyber, technology, security, and artificial intelligence, which were signed by their respective ministers and counterparts, as well as India’s Ambassador to Israel, J.P. 4. 2,800-Year-Old Seal from Era of Biblical Kings Unearthed in Israel - Crosswalk
A 2,800-year-old stone seal dating to the era of the biblical kings has been unearthed in Israel during excavations tied to the construction of a modern highway.
The seal, unveiled this month by the Israel Antiquities Authority, dates to the late eighth century B.C. and is carved from a gemstone, featuring four pomegranates engraved across its upper section, with the remainder bearing an ancient Hebrew inscription that reads: “Belonging to Makhach (son of) Amihai.” Although that particular name does not appear in the Old Testament, the seal’s owner would have lived during biblical times under the authority of a king mentioned in Scripture – perhaps Jotham, Ahaz, or Hezekiah, who reigned in succession during that period and governed Judah.
It was discovered during the construction of the Ein Tut Interchange in northern Israel.
The Israel Antiquities Authority said it likely would have “hung like a necklace around its owner’s neck,” according to The Jerusalem Post. (Read more)

5. Antisemitic Crimes in Germany Surge to New High - Algemeiner
The number of antisemitic offenses in Germanyreached a new high in 2025, according to newly unveiled figures.
Police registered 2,267 of these crimes last year, including violence, incitement, property damage, and propaganda offenses, according to German media.
By comparison, the number of officially recorded antisemitic crimes was significantly lower at 1,825 in 2024. The previous year, there were 900 such offenses, preceded by fewer than 500 in 2022.
Germany, like most countries across Europe and the broader Western world, has seen a shocking rise in antisemitic incidents over the last two years, in the wake of the Hamas-led invasion of and massacre across southern Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.
The data came as a response from the police and the Berlin Senate to an inquiry from Sebastian Schlüsselburg, a member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) serving in Berlin’s state parliament, the Der Tagesspiegel newspaper reported. (Read more)

The report cited two anonymous “senior Lebanese officials” who said Israel's message was passed on indirectly.
At the same time, in an interview with Lebanese newspaper Nidaa Al-Watan, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said Lebanon has “no control over the course of Iranian-American relations.”

We pray that You would protect Israel during this dangerous time and give them wisdom as to how to conduct themselves to give peaceful countries the best chance to be victorious. 2. What’s the real point of Tucker Carlson’s obsession with Israel? – JNS News
The antisemitic podcaster’s joust with Mike Huckabee showed that his goal is to sabotage the administration. Will Trump and Vance finally denounce him?
Anyone who had watched Tucker Carlson’s podcast over the last 18 months knew that the former Fox News host was both obsessed with Israel and had long since crossed over from strident criticism of the Jewish state to flagrant and often manic antisemitism. From the moment he hosted faux historian and Holocaust denier Daryl Cooper in September 2024 to his equally fawning interview with groyper neo-Nazi Nick Fuentes in October 2025, and on to the present, Carlson’s popular program has increasingly become the home of increasingly extreme anti-Israel and anti-Jewish conspiracy theories and rhetoric.
But his interview with U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, conducted at Ben-Gurion International Airport (so Carlson would not have to actually spend any time in Israel), was the CliffsNotes version of the previous year-and-a-half worth of videos he’s produced. It consisted of Carlson spewing out scores of antisemitic lies and myths about Jews and Israel, demanding that Huckabee, an evangelical Christian, refute them. As JNS senior contributing writer Ruthie Blum noted, Huckabee did an excellent job of keeping his temper in the face of Carlson’s infuriating mendacity and conspiracy-mongering, as well as refuting many of them (while noting afterward that in the heat of the moment, he understandably didn’t explode all of them).
While Huckabee won the debate by any objective standard, Carlson wasn’t there to engage in an exchange of ideas or get to the truth of any of the “questions” he was asking. His goal was to undermine Huckabee and, by extension, the pro-Israel policies of the administration the ambassador represents. And it’s likely that, as bad as he looked in the video, Carlson may think he’s succeeded in doing just that. Read more

Father God, we ask that You would cut off the influences and voices of those like this man who needlessly cling to their anti-Israel and anti-Jewish stances. We see this man did not want to get real answers out of our ambassador to Israel, but wanted to try to stir up more strife against the Jewish state. Father, we put the people who think like this in Your hands to lead them in the right direction and take away all lies they have believed themselves. Only You can work in a man's heart to help him see the truth. We pray that their voices will decrease so much that they will not have a following like they have now.

6. Vance Announces New Phase of Fraud Investigations, Withholds $259 Million in Medicaid Funds From Minnesota – The Epoch Times
Vice President JD Vance announced new efforts to combat fraud nationwide during a press conference on Feb. 25 in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building with Dr. Mehmet Oz, administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator.
The federal government is temporarily deferring $259 million in Medicaid payments to the state of Minnesota, citing widespread fraud. Gov. Tim Walz has 60 days to respond.
“What we’re doing is we are stopping the federal payments that will go to the state government until the state government takes its obligations seriously to stop the fraud that’s being perpetrated against the American taxpayer,” said Vance, chair of the White House anti-fraud task force.

We pray that you give VP JD Vance wisdom and discernment as he continues to uncover the welfare fraud in the Minnesota State government and beyond. Thank You, Father, that he is temporarily deferring the $259 million Medicaid payments until the state government takes its obligations seriously. God, Your people are very generous people and we ask that You expose the schemes of those involved in fraud. Father, we also ask that You remove from office those in Minnesota that have been covering up this large scale fraud! Connecting the dots on Islam in America

Americans didn’t wake up yesterday and start “connecting dots” with radical Islam. New York learned the hard way that radical Islamism had the World Trade Center in its sights years before 9/11. The 1993 bombing targeted the towers with the stated aim of bringing them down, and it killed six people and injured more than a thousand. Eight years later, Islamist terrorists finished what earlier attackers attempted. That history is why later events in the same city land differently than they would anywhere else. When a nation absorbs trauma, it gains a kind of pattern-recognition. Sometimes that instinct is sloppy. Sometimes it is lifesaving. Discernment means treating patterns seriously with clarity about what is proven.
Then came the Ground Zero mosque fight, the Park51 project, two blocks from the 9/11 site, which became a national argument about symbolism versus religious liberty. Add to that New York City’s current political reality: Mayor Zohran Mamdani, sworn in January 1, 2026, openly identifies with democratic socialist politics and is the city’s first Muslim mayor. In the last few days, another flashpoint hit the media cycle, a New York activist’s nod toward Sharia-like banning “dogs as indoor pets,” followed by a congressman’s remarks about choosing dogs over Muslims. By itself, that’s a culture-war flare. In context, it becomes one more signal that religious and civic friction involving Islam is now mainstream, constant, and politically combustible. Read More

Americans who watched the speech and found that nearly two-thirds (64%) had a positive response to Trump’s message, including 38% who had a “very positive” reaction, outweighing the total of 36% who rated their reaction as negative.
The same share (64%) of survey respondents also said that they expect the president’s policies to lead the U.S. in the “right direction,” up from only 54% who said so in the days before the speech (February 17-20). Likewise, 54% of respondents said that Trump’s speech shows that he has his priorities straight, up 10 points from the week before the State of the Union but down five points from polling immediately following Trump’s address to the joint session of Congress in March last year. Notably, over 60% of respondents said that they approve of Trump’s policies on both the economy and immigration. However, over one-third (38%) of respondents said that Trump is focusing “too much” on immigration, and nearly a quarter (24%) said that he is focusing “too much” on foreign policy. The Biggest Loser of Trump’s 2026 SOTU: The Unborn

As far as theatrics go, Donald Trump’s sixth State of the Union had everything a showman could want — the golden boys of Team USA, the heart-wrenching moments of grieving parents and miraculous recoveries, the drama of Democratic protests, and the president’s answering antagonism. But for all that’s been written about the record-setting night, the biggest takeaway may not have been what was said, but what wasn’t. In a speech of 10,599 words, not one was about life.
But Tuesday's vacuum on life, one of Trump’s core first-term issues, says a lot about the president’s recent reluctance to engage in key aspects of this debate — when, unfortunately, it’s raging the fiercest. Since his last turn in office, chemical abortions have exploded across the country, throwing open the door to a nationwide war over mifepristone’s safety, its availability in states that outlaw it, the illegality of mailing it, and the government’s role in ensuring that women are under a doctor’s supervision when 11% encounter the terrifying complications research shows they will.
Behind the White House’s closed doors, insiders say, there’s a concern that abortion is somehow a losing issue for the GOP, a fear that’s gripped Trump since the first post-Dobbs elections. In the 2024 presidential race, Trump stunned people by suggesting that Republicans shouldn’t be taking a hard line on abortion, because it makes it “very difficult to win elections.” “This issue cost us dearly in the midterms — and unnecessarily,” he claimed.
But his perception and reality are two different things, polling and recent history suggest. Holy One, we pray that President Trump's advisers who provoke him to stay silent on this weighty issue would either change their understanding or step aside so that a firm pro-life position takes the forefront once again. President Trump was deceived into believing that the issue that cost him votes was life for the unborn, but we pray for him to look into it a little deeper and see that was not the reality, in Jesus's name. We pray for wise pro-life warriors to be able to speak into him and his team of counselors. May their hearts be softened toward life, truth and the Gospel and we pray Abba, that You draw them to counsel President Trump honorably to protect the unborn, in Jesus's name.

Just a few days after a planetary alignment appears in the evening sky, another astronomical event will take place on March 3 in the United States: a total lunar eclipse that will tint the Moon red, giving rise to the name “blood moon.”
Where will the total lunar eclipse of March 3 be visible?
On Tuesday, March 3, totality will be visible at sunset from East Asia and Australia, throughout the night across the Pacific Ocean, and in the early morning hours in North and Central America, as well as the far western regions of South America. The eclipse will be partial in Central Asia and much of South America. It will not be visible in Africa or Europe.
