'I Accept Jesus': 'Dilbert' Cartoonist's Final Message Before His Death

"Dilbert" cartoonist Scott Adams has died at the age of 68, issuing a posthumous statement declaring his decision to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

In a livestream following his death on Tuesday, Adams' ex-wife Shelly Miles shared the statement he prepared before passing away. “I had an amazing life,” the statement said in part. “I gave it everything I had.”

"Next, many of my Christian friends have asked me to find Jesus before I go. I'm not a believer, but I have to admit the risk-reward calculation for doing so looks so attractive to me. So here I go: I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and look forward to spending an eternity with him. The part about me not being a believer should be quickly resolved if I wake up in heaven. I won't need any more convincing than that. I hope I'm still qualified for entry..."

Adams revealed in May that he had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of metastatic prostate cancer.

“Dilbert” once appeared in 2,000 newspapers worldwide, making light of the absurdities of office life. In 1997, he received one of the most prestigious awards for cartoonists, the National Cartoonist Society’s Reuben Award. That same year, “Dilbert” became the first fictional character to make Time magazine’s list of the most influential Americans.

While the comic genre often tries to make comedy out of conflict, his controversial perspectives increased in his later years, and in 2023, Adams' comic strip was removed from syndication after he was accused of racism. Read more here

Inside the SCOTUS hearing bound to be a turning point in the culture war over trans athletes in women's sports
Attorneys and activists at the court on Tuesday revealed what went down behind the scenes

WASHINGTON – Trained military snipers stood on the roof of the U.S. Supreme Court Tuesday standing guard over a verbal battle between an alliance of women donning shirts that read XX-XY, against a hoard of pink, white and blue-painted activists, some wearing costumes, and some barely wearing anything.

At one point, the convergence descended into harrowing cries of "Stop cutting off the breasts!" while the other side tried to drown it out with a blunt and repetitive chant of "Trans! Trans! Trans!"  But inside the court chambers, one side was constantly in full retreat.

Attorneys for transgender athlete Lindsay Hecox argued to have the very lawsuit that they originally filed, Hecox v Little, dropped as moot now that it was being reviewed by the nation's highest court. The suit, which was filed in 2020, blocked Idaho's law to protect women's sports and allowed Hecox to compete on Boise State's women's cross-country team.

And in a defining moment for the trans athlete legal team, it even had to retreat from one of the very arguments it used to try to get the case dropped. Cooley Legal attorney Kathleen Hartnett admitted that Hecox was "unlikely" to graduate in May after the firm previously argued that the athlete's May graduation would render a ruling about Hecox's athletic eligibility unnecessary.

"She's unlikely to graduate by May, as my friend said, but is hoping to make, through summer credits, to graduate in the fall," Hartnett said just months after the firm filed a suggestion of mootness, in which Hecox stated, "I am currently enrolled in classes that may allow me to graduate as early as May 2026."

Earlier in the hearing, Idaho Solicitor General Alan Hurst called out Hecox's claimed graduation date of May as "not possible" after the state's leadership did some back-door digging to discover Hecox's status. Read more here

Abba, the enemy has been trying to take women down since the garden.  We ask You to speak to the hearts of all Justices, give them Your vision of how You created man and woman, the intentional differences You built into their DNA giving each sex its own place in creation.  Father God, we lay before You every heart that is wounded, every heart that is crushed, every heart that has never experienced what love feels like, every mind and heart that has been deceived and dishonored, we ask for healing that only You can accomplish.  We ask for such deep healing that each person finds their true self as You bind up their wounds and reveal to them who You are and who they are in You.  Refocus their vision, redefine who they are to themselves, show them what You see when You look at them.  Jesus, Your heart breaks for them in ways we can't even begin to understand, let our prayers be Your hands in releasing freedom to their minds, hearts, spirits, emotions and bodies.  We ask this in the name Rl ROI, the God who sees and knows every person.

"His eyes are on the ways of mortals;
            he sees their every step...."

Democratic think tank urges party to drop ‘Abolish ICE’ slogan in new memo
Third Way likened the phrase to the now controversial
'defund the police' movement

Center-left think tank Third Way advised the Democratic Party to avoid calls to "Abolish ICE" in favor of immigration reform in a new memo released on Tuesday.

The memo was written in response to renewed calls from progressive commentators and politicians to abolish the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency following the ICE-involved shooting of a Minnesota woman last week.

While Third Way agreed with the Democratic Party that the Trump administration's immigration policies were "defined by excess, escalation, and lawlessness," the group cautioned against pushing for a complete elimination of all immigration enforcement.

"The impulse is emotional," the memo read. "The slogan is simple. But politically, it is lethal. Every call to abolish ICE risks squandering one of the clearest opportunities in years to secure meaningful reform of immigration enforcement — while handing Republicans exactly the fight they want. This piece argues for a harder and smarter approach: abolish abuses, not ICE."

Third Way argued that Democrats could instead focus on ending what it described as "unaccountable uses of force" by ICE agents, ensuring that enforcement is restrained and transparent.

"Immigration laws are meaningless if they are not enforced. And they can be enforced in ways that protect public safety, respect legal norms, and uphold civil liberties. Voters understand this. They responded strongly to what they saw as a lack of enforcement under President Biden. But they are also recoiling from Trump’s excessive force," the memo read. Read more here

Abba, we know that none of what is going on right now is news to You.  We also know that You have plans in place that we may not be able to see, so we ask You to reveal those plans to Your intercessors. download what our focus needs to be and how exactly we can pray against and pull down this demonic stronghold that has been released against our country.  We ask to see with Your eyes and hear with Your ears all that the enemy is trying to keep in the darkness, let Your light shine so brightly that the demons have to leave, darkness cannot remain when Your light moves in.  Jesus, we ask for Your justice to prevail in all circumstances surrounding ICE and Your intentions to remove those in our nation who do not belong.  We ask Holy Spirit to pour the fear of God into the hearts of those whose presence in our nation is for evil and not for good, let them self deport, send them back to their own homeland.  We ask this in the name Shaphat, the God who is the Judge.

"Say among the nations, "The Lord reigns."  The world is firmly established, it cannot be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity."  (Psalm 96:10)

Iran protest death toll said to be at least 12,000
CBS News cited Iranian sources saying up to 20,000 may have been killed, though only some 2,500 have been confirmed by the U.S.-based Human Rights Activists News Agency. Israel and Arab states have reportedly advised Washington that the regime is not weakened enough for a military strike to be decisive.

(Jan. 14, 2026 / JNS) More than 12,000 people are feared dead in Iran after a sweeping crackdown on anti-regime protests, with CBS News reporting on Tuesday that sources inside and outside the country believe the toll could be as high as 20,000 and newly verified video showing hundreds of bodies stacked at a morgue near Tehran.

The true scope of the bloodshed has been obscured by a near-total shutdown of internet and phone service imposed by Iran’s rulers over the past five days, with only limited outgoing calls allowing word of the killings to leak out, according to the report.

Activist networks citing medical sources around the country told the network they now believe the death toll stands at a minimum of 12,000 and could reach 20,000, even as an unnamed Iranian official told Reuters some 2,000 people had been killed since the unrest erupted Dec. 28.

The U.S.-based Human Rights Activists News Agency said on Tuesday that it has confirmed 2,403 protester deaths, and that 18,434 people have been detained. HRANA also said that 1,134 people with severe injuries have been reported. Read more here

Abba, Your heart is breaking and so is ours for all the lives lost in Iran, those trying to bring down this abusive government.  We ask You to dispatch hoards of warrior angels to shift this war, let Your angels jam guns, make all drones non-functional, bring down all communications barriers, reopen the internet through Elon Musk's satellite internet, let the truth out of Iran, let the world see what evil is in the hearts of their leaders.  Father God, I ask that You do miracles that will stop people in their tracks, let the dead be raised, let those shot be healed instantly so that local police will run away, let Your power be seen in this horrible devastation, turn it around to show forth Your glory.  We decree and declare that You are God and God alone, there is no other God like You.  Allah is NOT GOD.  We ask this in the name Yahweh Sabaoth, The Host Of Heaven's Armies, the God who has untold men and angels at his command.

"Therefore, the Sovereign Lord of Heaven's Armies,
the Powerful One of Israel, says this:  "Ah, I
will seek vengeance against my adversaries, I will
           take revenge against my enemies."

NATO, Greenland Vow to Boost Arctic Security After Trump Threats

NATO and Greenland's government on Monday said they intended to work on strengthening the defense of the Danish autonomous territory, hoping to dissuade President Donald Trump from trying to seize the island.

Trump has been talking up the idea of buying or annexing the Arctic territory for years and further stoked tensions on Sunday by saying that the United States would take the territory "one way or the other."

Greenlandic Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen said on Monday that the island's security and defense "belong in NATO," the 32-member military alliance dominated by the U.S.

He said his government would "therefore work to ensure that the development of defense in and around Greenland takes place in close cooperation with NATO, in dialogue with our allies, including the United States, and in cooperation with Denmark."

NATO chief Mark Rutte also said Monday that the alliance was working on "the next steps" to bolster Arctic security.

Diplomats at NATO say some alliance members have floated the idea of launching a new mission in the region, though no concrete proposals are yet on the table.

Trump has insisted that Greenland needs to be brought under U.S. control, arguing that the Danish autonomous territory is crucial for national security.

The island is also rich in largely untapped resources, including rare earth minerals coveted by the tech industry. Read more here

Abba, we know You never said we will understand things that President Trump says or does, but his words concerning Greenland are disconcerting at best and really scary at worst.  We put all of this in Your hands, we put down our own thoughts and fears and judgements, we are standing in faith that You know exactly what is going on, why, and how it's going to resolve.  We ask that Your voice be heard loud and clear by the President, that You will keep him inside the boundaries You have created, and we ask for him and for ourselves that we stop second guessing what You are up to in all of this.  Your thoughts and desires are higher than anything we can even imagine, give us the strength to stand, planted in faith that You are and will continue to work through Your son, Donald, that his heart is after Your own heart, that because we don't understand doesn't mean he isn't listening, hearing and doing Your will.  We ask this in the name El Shaddai, God Almighty, the God who has ultimate power over all things.

"Now this I know: The Lord gives victory to his
anointed, He haswers him from his
heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power
          of his right hand."

FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Israel on high alert as IDF prepares for any Iranian response - Israel Hayom

Against the backdrop of threats by US President Donald Trump, Israel's security establishment, with particular emphasis on the Israeli Air Force, has shifted to its highest state of readiness amid indications of a looming US strike on Iran.

Israel's air defense array has raised its alert level nationwide and is preparing for the possibility of a heavy Iranian barrage directed at Israel. At the same time, the Israeli Air Force is preparing potential retaliatory strikes should Iran make what Israeli officials describe as a grave mistake by launching long-range surface-to-surface missiles at Israel.

Israeli officials are hopeful that the Americans would give Israel enough lead time to fully activate and position all defensive systems. At the same time, they emphasize that a US strike on Iran would not necessarily trigger an Iranian attack on Israel. (Read more)

2. WATCH: IDF unveils rare footage of clear ambush, close-quarters gunfight with Hamas - Jerusalem Post

The IDF on Wednesday unveiled a video with unusual clarity and detail of a full-fledged gunfight between soldiers from the IDF's 7th Armored Brigade and a Hamas terror cell in the Rafah area of deep southern Gaza.

Few clear videos have emerged since summer 2024, not just because of the ceasefire, but also because large-scale clashes between Hamas forces and Israeli troops have become rare following Hamas’s defeat in Rafah at the time.

Most fighting has involved one or two terrorists at a time, emerging quickly from a tunnel to stage a guerrilla-style attack before fleeing or fighting in tunnels where it is hard to get a clear video image. (Read more)

3. Canceled flights, closed tunnels & evacuated schools: Winter storm blasts Israel with high winds and heavy rains - All Israel News

Heavy rains and strong winds hit Israel starting on Monday night, as a winter storm moved into the country.

Major roads experienced closures and delays as wind blew debris onto the roads, and heavy rains caused flooding in various parts of the country. Roads affected by closures due to flooding included Route 90, which runs north-south along the Jordan River Valley from the Sea of Galilee to Eilat; Route 463, Route 375, Route 40, and Highway 4.

The Naomi Shemer Tunnel heading east from Jerusalem was closed for almost an hour due to flooding caused by the heavy rain. (Read more)

4.  IDF launches medical revolution with AI-PTSD treatment, whole blood drone delivery - Jerusalem Post

During and after the 2023-2025 Middle East, the IDF Medical Corps has been engaged in a full-fledged revolution, using artificial intelligence, whole blood, and, soon, drone delivery of whole blood, which could potentially save thousands of lives.

Maj. “S,” IDF Medical Corps’ head of research and development, spoke about the latest cutting-edge developments in these fields in a recent interview with The Jerusalem Post.

S has spent 15 years working in different arms of the Medical Corps, including on the front lines with the lead Gaza invasion division, Division 162; in headquarters capacity with medical brigades; and stationed at Southern Command headquarters in Beersheba.

5. German-Israel Deal Strengthens Cyber Defense, German Minister Says - Algemeiner

A new German-Israel agreement aims to counter cyber threats and enhance security infrastructure, German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt told parliament on Wednesday.

Dobrindt signed the agreement with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem over the weekend.

The collaboration includes the development of a joint “cyber dome” system, an artificial intelligence and cyber innovation center, drone defense cooperation, and improved civilian warning systems.

“We have already had a trusting partnership in the past, which we want to strengthen further,” Dobrindt said. “Israel has extensive experience in cyber defense. We want to benefit from that.” (Read more

1. Trump’s Housing Ban: Homes for Families, Not Corporations - Million Voices

A decisive move has been made to protect the American Dream, as President Trump announced he is taking steps to ban large institutional investors from purchasing single-family homes. This action directly confronts a crisis that has pushed homeownership out of reach for countless American families. It is a bold declaration that homes are for people, not massive corporations.

In a statement on Truth Social, the President identified record-high inflation as a primary barrier to home affordability, particularly for younger Americans. By proposing this ban and calling on Congress to codify it, the administration is drawing a line in the sand. The goal is clear: level the playing field so that hardworking citizens can once again compete for a home of their own.

As reported by Fox Business, this practice has been a significant factor in the housing market, with firms like Blackstone becoming major landlords. (Read more)
Lord, I ask for peace and prosperity over families who wish to expand into homes. I pray for an increase for them to purchase what they need to create memories and bless others with their properties.

Everyone will sit under their own vine and under their own fig tree, and no one will make them afraid, for the Lord Almighty has spoken. (Micah 4:4)

2. Houston Pastor’s Case Defends First Amendment Rights - Million Voices

In Houston, Texas, a minister named Howard Camp was doing what he had done for nearly two years. He stood outside a public bus terminal, sharing the hope of Christ, praying with people, and handing out food and water. But one day, local police handcuffed him, detained him, and banned him from ever returning.

This shocking event is not just one man’s story; it is a critical reminder for all Christians about the importance of protecting religious liberty in our own communities. The battle for our constitutional freedoms is often fought not just in Washington, D.C., but on the sidewalks and in the public squares of our hometowns. This victory for Pastor Camp is a victory for every believer who seeks to share their faith openly.

For almost two years, Howard Camp’s ministry was a peaceful presence at the Scottcrest Drive METRO Terminal. He offered encouragement and support to anyone who would listen. His work was abruptly stopped in September 2025 when METRO police told him he needed a “permit” to share his faith. (Read more)

Father God, thank You for this spiritual win. I want what You want. May Your glory shine bright in the midst of these political and spiritual battles. I ask for Your grace and mercy on anyone who has the boldness to enter the public arena and glorify Your name.

“But Peter and the apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than any human authority.” (Acts 5:29)

3. ICE agents haul driver out of car as Minnesota protesters swarm them in dramatic video - DML News

A woman was yanked out of her car by federal agents for allegedly impeding an immigration enforcement operation in Minnesota on Tuesday — less than a week after a mother of three was fatally shot.

Footage captured the chaotic scene that broke out when the unidentified driver positioned her car across lanes of traffic, seemingly blocking ICE vehicles from driving through during an anti-ICE protest in Minneapolis.

Agents attempted to clear the streets of the screaming protesters when they walked up to the female driver, who appeared to be wedging agents between her vehicle and another car blocking the road. The agents then smashed through the car’s passenger window. (Read more)

Lord, we know we have the right to peacefully protest in our country but we pray against protesters or rioters that seek to cause chaos and division that their agenda would be stopped. We pray peace and protection over our nation that no harm or evil can prevail in Jesus name amen.

“But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.”
(2 Thessalonians 3:3)

4. Democrats win 2 special state House elections - DML News

Democrats have won two special elections to fill a pair of open seats in Virginia’s General Assembly, according to Decision Desk HQ.
The Tuesday contests are part of a series of special elections prompted when Gov.-elect Abigail Spanberger (D), who was elected governor last year and is set to be inaugurated next week, tapped state lawmakers to join her administration.

Voters in the Fairfax County-area state House District 11 picked Democrat Gretchen Bulova to replace her husband, outgoing Del. David Bulova (D), as he takes on the role of Virginia’s secretary of natural and historic resources.

Democrat Margaret Angela Franklin, a Prince William County supervisor, won in nearby state House District 23. She replaces Del. Candi Mundon King (D), who is on deck to be the state’s secretary of the commonwealth. (Read more)

Lord God, we pray for these newly elected representatives that they would implement justice and righteousness in their state. We pray that they would look after their citizens and do what’s right in your sight. We pray that they would seek you, your face, and your godly wisdom in Jesus name amen.

“Teach me to do Your will,
For You are my God;
Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.”

(Psalm 143:10)

5. Here’s how Supreme Court is leaning, after hearing arguments on transgenders banned from women’s sports - DML News

The Supreme Court struggled for consensus Tuesday as they publicly debated state bans on transgender female students from competing in women’s and girls’ scholastic sports.
Both sides repeatedly invoked contrasting versions of “fairness” and “equal opportunity” in front of the justices, during a more than three-hour marathon oral argument session in the courtroom.

Idaho and West Virginia separately defended their laws that limit participation for transgender females who were designated male at birth, in both public school and college athletics.

Lawyers arguing on behalf of two transgender students – both biological males who have fought to participate in women’s sports – point to a line in the Title IX law which states “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation. (Read more)

Heavenly Father, we thank you that your design of male and female is good, beautiful, and healthy. Help the highest court in the land stand against false ideologies that trap vulnerable children, teenagers, and adults in confusion. Help us to be unashamed to proclaim how Jesus saves us from our sins, brings truth to our confusion, and empowers us to walk in freedom, living according to His design.

“Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders which You have done,
And Your thoughts toward us;
There is none to compare with You.
If I would declare and speak of them,
They would be too numerous to count.”

(Psalm 40:5)

6. Trump admin labels three Muslim Brotherhood branches as terrorist organizations - DML News

The U.S. has designated three branches of the Muslim Brotherhood as terrorist organizations, in a move that could impact Washington’s relationships with Qatar and Turkey.

The Treasury and State departments announced the moves against the Lebanese, Jordanian and Egyptian chapters of the group, which the Trump administration asserts pose risks to the U.S.

The State Department gave the Lebanese branch of the Muslim Brotherhood the most severe of its labels, designating it a foreign terrorist organization, which makes it illegal to provide material support to the group, The Associated Press reported. Additionally, the Treasury Department labeled the Jordanian and Egyptian branches as specially designated global terrorists for providing support to Hamas. The Lebanese chapter of the Muslim Brotherhood was also given a special designation by the Treasury Department. (Read more)

Lord we give this situation to you and we thank you Lord that our leaders are doing everything in their power to protect us from a hostile government takeover from within which this organization states is their goal. So we come against these plans right now in the spirit and we cut it off with the blood of Jesus and we say it cannot come to fruition in Jesus name amen.

“No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord. (Isaiah 54:17)

Stupidocrisy: The godless communism of New York

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, January 14, 2026

New York City’s new mayor, Zohran Mamdani, wasted no time explaining his radical communist vision for the city. In his inaugural address, Mamdani declared, “We will replace the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism.” That sentence sets the framework for his administration. Rugged individualism forms the backbone of American economic life through personal responsibility, private property, and voluntary cooperation. Mamdani’s words signal a pivot away from that framework toward collectivist governance, where outcomes are managed by the state rather than earned through individual effort. He’s telling the world he will undermine individual rights, establish government as god, and eliminate liberty.

That philosophy immediately locked in with Mamdani’s appointment of tenant advocate Cea Weaver. Weaver has argued for transforming private property into a collective asset, stating, “We’ll transition from treating property as an individual good to a collective good. Whites especially will be impacted.” She has also promoted the seizure of property she categorizes as tied to “white supremacy.” These statements frame property ownership as a political and racial construct rather than a universal right. When government officials adopt this posture, ownership becomes conditional and subject to ideological approval. Capital retreats, trust erodes, and communities divide along political lines. Redistribution enforced by power replaces stewardship protected by law, and justice becomes selectively applied. Read More

5 Ways NASA’s Artemis 2 Mission Will Make Spaceflight History
The first crewed spaceflight of NASA’s Artemis program will break records, achieve historic firsts, and pave the way for America’s return to the Moon.

After years of delays, NASA’s mission to send a crew of astronauts around the Moon and back again is almost ready to lift off.

The agency is targeting February 6 for the launch of Artemis 2, the first crewed spaceflight of its lunar program. The mission will launch aboard NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) rocket from Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The crew—consisting of mission commander Reid Wiseman, pilot Victor Glover, and mission specialists Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen—will ride inside the Orion spacecraft.

Artemis 2 will serve as a critical test of SLS and Orion and a stepping stone to the Artemis 3 Moon landing. Decades in the making, these missions will mark humanity’s historic return to deep space. It’s been a very long time since astronauts last flew to the Moon, but Artemis 2 will make history in many other ways as well.

Here’s a look at the records Artemis 2 is set to break and the firsts it will achieve when it finally lifts off this year.

  • First human spaceflight beyond LEO since Apollo
  • Farthest distance humans have traveled from Earth
  • First crewed flight of the Orion spacecraft and SLS
  • Highest reentry velocity for a crew return
  • First person of color, woman, and Canadian to fly to the Moon
