Statewide human trafficking operation leads to more than 100 arrests in San Diego
|
|
As part of a statewide, joint effort by over 18 law enforcement agencies, California Attorney General Rob Bonta on Monday announced the results of Operation “Stand on Demand.” The operation occurred from Jan. 19 to 24, across multiple counties throughout California with the goal of arresting sex buyers, helping trafficking victims, and ultimately, arresting traffickers.
As a result of the operation, 120 total individuals were arrested. Of those arrested, 87 were for loitering, 25 for solicitation and eight for pimping and pandering. Authorities say 105 of those arrests took place in San Diego County including Santee, National City and San Marcos. “Let’s be clear human trafficking is happening in our communities, behind closed doors and in plain sight,” said Bonta.
This operation is part of a regional strategy aimed at addressing human trafficking and sexual exploitation by concentrating on the demand for these illicit services. It involves targeted enforcement that depends on both the surveillance of identified locations and the deployment of undercover officers. “Our strategy is straight forward, reduce demand disrupt trafficking networks and protect survivors,” said Bonta. U.S. President Donald Trump reiterated his threats against the Iranian regime on Wednesday, calling it to “make a deal” before it is too late in a post on Truth Social.
“A massive Armada is heading to Iran. It is moving quickly, with great power, enthusiasm, and purpose. It is a larger fleet, headed by the great Aircraft Carrier Abraham Lincoln, than that sent to Venezuela,” he said.
In the weeks leading up to the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro three weeks ago, the U.S. had concentrated massive naval and aerial forces near the country, implementing a naval blockade.
Trump noted that the U.S. armada is “ready, willing, and able to rapidly fulfill its mission, with speed and violence, if necessary. Hopefully Iran will quickly ‘Come to the Table’ and negotiate a fair and equitable deal – NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS – one that is good for all parties.”

Board of Peace Explained: How it Works and Who is Running it

President Donald J. Trump signed the charter for the Board of Peace last week at the World Economic Forum in Davos, marking the formal commencement of Phase 2 of the administration's Gaza peace initiative.
According to the Trump administration, the signing ceremony, attended by regional leaders and global financial executives, transitions the focus of the U.S. strategy from the current ceasefire toward "demilitarization, reconstruction and civil administration" of the Gaza Strip.
Phase 2 establishes a new governing framework for the enclave, intended to replace Hamas and previous international aid structures with a centralized board of stakeholders. Under the terms of the charter, the Board of Peace is now the self-appointed primary authority responsible for directing reconstruction funds and overseeing the transition to a civilian government.
"The whole architecture of the current Trump plan is a very impressive effort which is unprecedented in many ways," Col. (res.) Eran Lerman, vice president of the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security (JISS), told JNS. "There have been ideas in this direction of an international oversight for many years, and this implementation is by far the most concrete and advanced of any of those programs."
Lerman added, however, that the plan is in very early stages and "for now it only exists on paper."

Abba, there is so much information concerning the Board of Peace and the New Gaza Master Plan that we ask You to show us how to pray. We ask Father God to download information to all who have a heart to pray for peace in Israel, give us wisdom and understanding of all that is going on "behind the scenes" in these negotiations. We ask for pictures and detailed descriptions of how this is to be implemented and managed by all involved. Holy Spirit, we ask You to send out Your angels that will see and hear those things that are in the darkness, provide those in leadership with Your plans for response to such unplanned issues.
Finally, we ask that this Board of Peace would be one that honors the land of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- the land of Israel. Father God, we know Your heart is for all who have been created in Your image, we ask You to intervene when necessary and bring forth new pathways to peace and reconstruction. Homan: ICE 'not surrendering president's' immigration mission in Minnesota
|

|
White House border czar Tom Homan says federal agents will continue so-called targeted operations in Minneapolis during a news conference on Thursday.
Homan added that the focus of these targeted operations will be “criminal aliens” and threats to public and national safety. He has also directed federal agents to prepare a drawdown plan for Minneapolis but clarified that the administration will not stop with detainments and deportations.
Homan added that decreasing the number of federal agents on Minneapolis’ streets will require the local government and law enforcement entities to cooperate with the federal government to identify and detain immigrants.
“We will conduct targeted enforcement operations. What we’ve done for decades,” Homan said. “With a prioritization on public safety threats. We are not surrendering the president’s mission on immigration enforcement. Prioritization of criminal aliens does not mean we forget about everybody else. That’s just ridiculous.”
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison have met with Homan this week. Homan said he “did not agree with everything” the local officials have said but they did acknowledge ICE is a congressionally approved agency.
“What we did agree on is the community’s safety is paramount,” Homan said. “What we did agree upon is not to release public safety risks back into the community when they could be lawfully transferred to ICE.”
The Minnesota Department of Corrections has been working with ICE to identify and remove immigrants with criminal records, Homan added. He went on to clarify that he was referring to people who were already detained in the Minnesota prison system.
In regards to the fatal shootings of two Minneapolis-area residents Renee Good and Alex Pretti, both 37 years old, Homan said he will not comment or share his personal opinion. He only acknowledged that the federal operation in the city has not been “perfect” and he and Trump “have recognized that certain improvements could and should be made.”
Homan referred to anti-ICE protesters as “agitators,” while saying federal agents are “performing their duties in a challenging environment.” “They’re trying to do it with professionalism,” Homan said. “If they don’t, they’ll be dealt with. Like any other federal agency, we have standards of conduct.”
Homan later blamed the increase of federal agents in Minneapolis on “rhetoric” directed towards agents and the immigration operation. “I said in March if the rhetoric didn’t stop there was going to be bloodshed,” Homan said. “And there has been. I wish I wasn’t right.” (Breitbart) Read more here.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is holding a security consultation in Jerusalem with top advisers and defense officials on a “classified topic,” the office of one of the attendees tells The Times of Israel.
According to Channel 12, the discussion is focusing on Iran and the possibility of a US strike.
Israeli officials do not believe that a limited strike will bring down the regime, and that US President Donald Trump shares their assessment, according to the outlet. The U.S. State Department told JNS on Wednesday that demilitarizing Hamas remains “a central challenge” to implementing the U.S. peace plan for the Gaza Strip. The statement came in response to reports that the terror group is seeking to fold 10,000 of its operatives into the new U.S.-backed governing body.
“Hamas must demilitarize as they agreed to do when they accepted the 20-Point Plan,” according to department spokesperson, who acknowledged that “conversations on how to proceed” were ongoing.
“The demilitarization of Hamas remains a central challenge—one that we are hopeful we can overcome,” according to the statement. “Demilitarization means Hamas can no longer pose a threat to Israel or the people of Gaza.”
Reuters reported on Tuesday that Hamas was seeking to incorporate its 10,000 “police officers” into the U.S.-backed National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG), which Washington has described as a transitional technocratic body meant to exclude the terrorist group. (Read more)

The revelation sheds light on how Israel was able to pursue senior Hamas figures while still preserving channels that could lead to hostage intelligence.

The document, which must still be signed by Trump, could help soften Israeli qualms about the inclusion of senior representatives from Qatar and Turkey on the Gaza Executive Board. That body was previously understood as having a leading role in managing the demilitarization and reconstruction of Gaza.

Father, we see how a person's source of information influences their opinion of what is happening in the news and especially in Minnesota these days. Lord, we pray that the emotional factors would go away -- such as moral superiority, loyalty to a certain party, and misplaced sympathy -- and this be replaced by looking at the facts. We pray that those who have the mind of Christ would have a larger voice than those who do not know how to compare what is going on to the plumbline of Your word and standards. We pray that they would be able to discern the facts and present them in a convincing manner so that even those media sources that are too liberal will have to pay attention and relay facts instead of rote talking points. Lord, help us all to hear Your voice of truth.

How disturbing to see someone, like James O'Keefe, who is seeking to spread the truth to be persecuted in this way. Lord, thank You that this group is brave enough to try to uncover what is really behind the motives of these agitators. Lord, we pray that as this information gets out, that proper law enforcers and investigators will follow through and these organizations will be held responsible for the violence they have created. Lord, we pray that these groups will be defunded, disorganized, and disbanded as their mission of anarchy is to hurt the US. We speak protection for those who seek the truth and uncover things hidden from the general public. May these rioters seek the truth for themselves and come to repentance for their actions. Thank you for the wisdom of President Trump in nominating the first ever, Assistant Attorney General, Colin McDonald, to oversee issues of fraud in our nation. As McDonald starts to serve in this new position of Assistant Attorney General for National Fraud Enforcement we ask for all things hidden to be revealed to him. Father, thank you that this new Division of the Department of Justice has been confirmed by the Senate and that the fraudsters who have been stealing from the American people will be found and brought to justice.
Lord, thank You for this extremely qualified America First Federal Prosecutor, Colin McDonald. 5. Multiple Polls Show Majority Of Americans Want All Illegals Deported – ZeroHedge
For months the political left and a small cadre of centrists (and some libertarians) have been denying reality on immigration and border controls. They claim (as if they are mind readers) that when Donald Trump ran his 2024 election campaign on mass deportations of illegals, voters actually thought he would only deport "violent criminal" illegal aliens, or migrants who committed crimes after crossing the border without permission.
This was never Trump's policy or promise. It is a carefully crafted propaganda narrative designed to shift the Overton Window and change the nature of the debate. The original point being that all illegal migrants are, in fact, criminals by default and should be deported.
The "criminal" policy manipulation is an attempt to override the prevailing reason for majority support of strict immigration controls: It's not only about crime - Americans oppose cultural replacement.
The fight is against multiculturalism and the erasure of western civilization. But leftists and their allies want to divert the discussion into a debate over whether or not each particular migrant "deserves" to be deported. It does not matter. Our nation lays in the balance between good and evil and we need your wisdom and guidance more and more each day. As multiple polls in the United States show that the majority of our American citizens want all illegals deported, we still have some paid protestors creating havoc and violence in our streets. The truth of the matter is that our economy cannot handle the amount of money being used to support migrants through our welfare systems, while some citizens do without. Americans are not buying into the rhetoric that because a migrant has been in the US illegally for a long time that that means they get to stay.
We also see that mass immigration affects our voting districts in favor of Democrat cities and states. Father, we seek wisdom from on high for our nation straight from Your throne room. Whether an illegal immigrant creates a crime or not, they are still here illegally and need to be deported. Some have been here for years and still have not sought to become an American citizens. 6. California Public Schools Hid ‘Gender Support Plans’ From Parents, Education Department Says – The Epoch Times
The state Department of Education was issued a corrective action plan that required school leaders to share student records with parents.
The California Department of Education (CDE) allowed public schools to conceal records on gender transitions and use software that hid student name changes on the parent portal, a senior U.S. Education Department official said on Wednesday.
An investigation into Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act violations across the Golden State found that many districts maintained records about student gender transitions that were purposely kept out of cumulative files that parents have a legal right to access.
The CDE also authorized districts to use the Aries software for hiding related information, including name changes, on the parent portal. About 300 children were put on “gender support plans,” many of them without parental consent, the official said during a media call. Read more

This is such a disturbing disclosure concerning the policies of the California Department of Education. Lord, children are a heritage from you and given to the parents to care for and to protect. Children belong to parents and not the states! As this report comes forward we see that at least 300 children were put under "Gender Support Plans", many without parental consent and knowledge. Lord, thank you for uncovering this violation of Federal laws that hid 'Gender Transitions' from parents.
Thank You, Father, that the US Department of Education has now issued a corrective action plan for the California Department of Education reminding them that 'gender support plans' or other related documentation that are related to a student are considered education records under FERPA (Family Education Rights and Privacy Act) and are subject to parental inspection upon request.
Lord, Jesus, protect our children from the wickedness that is set before them. We call forth angelic protection for all children from the courtroom of heaven and for them to disclose everything that would bring harm to one of your little ones. Roman Catholic Church attacks theology of Jews and Christians

On January 17, the Catholic-led Patriarchs and Heads of the Churches in Jerusalem issued a statement declaring themselves the sole authority “in matters pertaining to Christian religious, communal, and pastoral life in the Holy Land.” The statement went further, warning that other Christians advance “damaging ideologies, such as Christian Zionism,” which allegedly mislead the public and harm church unity. These churches view themselves as the rightful heirs of God’s promises, while Jews and Christians who affirm Israel’s enduring covenant are cast as theological disruptors. This Catholic and Vatican-led body includes Greek Orthodox, Armenian, Coptic, Syriac, Ethiopian, and Anglican churches in Jerusalem.
The Vatican-aligned InfoVaticana website defines Christian Zionism “as support for the State of Israel and the Zionist project as a fulfillment of biblical prophecy, framed as a political and cultural agenda.” Yet for many evangelicals, Christian Zionism is simpler and older than modern geopolitics. It rests on the belief that God’s covenant with Israel is enduring and not revoked, and that Israel remains integral to the biblical narrative. In contrast, Catholicism’s replacement theology was historically openly taught and enforced. Jews were portrayed as rejected, while the Catholic Church was presented as the sole heir of God’s promises, leaving little room for Israel’s ongoing covenantal dignity. That theology did not remain theoretical. It shaped sermons, laws, art, expulsions, and violence.

Report: U.S. Taking First Steps to Possibly Reopen Embassy in Venezuela

The administration of President Donald Trump notified Congress it is taking the first steps towards a possible reopening of the U.S. embassy in Caracas, Venezuela, following the downfall of socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro. The Associated Press (AP) reports it obtained a copy of a State Department notice sent to Congressmen this week informing that it was sending in “a regular and growing contingent of temporary staffers to conduct ‘select’ diplomatic functions.”
“We are writing to notify the committee of the Department of State’s intent to implement a phased approach to potentially resume Embassy Caracas operations,” the State Department reportedly said in separate but identical letters to 10 House and Senate committees.
AP reported the notification was sent just two days before Secretary of State is due to testify on Venezuela before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. According to the notification’s text, staffers “would live and work in a temporary facility while the existing embassy compound is brought up to standard.”
Reports published earlier this month indicated that the United States was undertaking the “necessary preparations” for a prospective reopening of its embassy in Caracas should president Trump decide to do so. Last week, the United States appointed Ambassador Laura Dogu as the new Chargé d’Affaires to the VAU in Bogotá.
“The Trump Administration continues to work with the interim authorities to stabilize Venezuela as part of the three-phase plan Secretary Rubio laid out for Congress and the American people,” a senior State Department official told Reuters at the time. (Breitbart)

‘We Really Need Help’: Trump’s Plan to Fast-Track Rebuilding Fire-Ravaged L.A. Brings Victims Relief

President Donald Trump is helping Californians in Los Angeles recover faster from the wildfires that devastated their communities a year ago.
The president on Friday signed an executive order to speed up the rebuilding process after the Pacific Palisades and Eaton fires tore through the area, the New York Post reported Tuesday.
The fires burned down countless homes and left thousands of people with no place to go. One woman told ABC 11 on the one-year anniversary of the devastating event, “It was like being in a zombie apocalypse movie is what I felt like.”
Thirty-one people died as a result of the fires, the outlet noted:
In the wake of the lingering devastation, President Trump, who is a former real estate developer, is taking action.
According to the Post, Trump said Friday, “I want to see if we can take over the city and state and just give the people their permits they want to build.”
He also laid blame at the feet of Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass (D) when it came to the slow rebuilding process. The outlet said over 16,000 buildings were destroyed but officials have issued a mere 2,600 construction permits.

Father God, we plead with You to orchestrate a breakthrough on behalf of the thousands of people who lost their homes in the wildfires in CA and have had no success in obtaining permits to rebuild. Our hearts ache for those homeowners who still have no access or ability to start their rebuilding or renovations and repairs. Lord God, You know how to “light a fire” under those bureaucrats who are stalling the homeowners, and You know the “why” of what’s going on behind the scenes. We pray that You use our President to bring quick movement in permitting and in exposing what has been happening, both in the mismanagement of the resources and in the use of personnel by state and local officials before, during and after the fires.
Abba, have mercy; and hear the cries of those in need of divine intervention in recovering from these tragedies. Expose and stop any actions taken to unlawfully seize what is privately owned property. First lady Melania Trump called for national unity Tuesday as tensions remain high following the fatal shootings of two civilians by federal agents in Minneapolis.
"We need to unify… I know my husband, the president, had a great call yesterday with the governor [Tim Walz] and the mayor [Jacob Frey], and they're working together to make it peaceful and without riots," Mrs. Trump said during a "Fox & Friends" exclusive interview.
"I'm against violence so, please, if you protest, protest in peace."
Mrs. Trump also offered comforting words to Americans reeling from the effects of a massive winter storm that slammed several states, leading to frigid temperatures, heavy ice and snowfall and widespread power outages.
"I feel deep compassion for the people who are impacted by this storm. I know the federal government is working hard to provide assistance to all who need it. As Americans, we need to help each other and come together in these difficult times," she said.
"I send them my strength and love and [I am] thinking of them…."
The first lady joined the show live from the White House to promote her upcoming movie, "MELANIA," ahead of its global launch on Friday.
The 104-minute film shares her life leading up to President Donald Trump's inauguration as 47th president — from her home in Trump Tower in New York City to Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, plus behind-the-scenes access inside the White House.

February’s night sky is setting up a quiet surprise. The full Snow Moon will climb at dusk, and it will not be alone. Just beneath its glow, the Beehive Cluster, a tight swarm of stars, will hover in the same patch of sky, close enough to make even casual stargazers pause.
But the real twist comes a little later. On February 2, in parts of North America, Regulus, Leo’s brightest star, may suddenly seem to blink out as it slips behind the nearly full Moon in a rare lunar occultation. According to media reports, this particular Moon and Regulus hide-and-seek will not return until the late 2030s.
A Moonrise Beneath the Beehive Cluster
The full Moon will reach peak phase at 5:09 p.m. EST on February 1. As dusk falls, it will rise just below the Beehive Cluster, one of the closest and most visually impressive open clusters in the night sky. Live Science, the cluster lies between Pollux, in the constellation Gemini, and Regulus, the leading star in Leo.
Also known as Praesepe, the Beehive Cluster contains approximately 1,000 stars packed into a tight formation. Under dark skies, it’s visible to the naked eye and adds depth to an already striking lunar scene.
