TX School District Agrees to Let 5th Grader Pass Out Bible Verses:
'A Major Win'
|
|
A Texas school district has reversed course after reportedly prohibiting a 12-year-old student from sharing Bible verses with her classmates. Attorneys with the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) are calling the Killeen Independent School District's about-face a victory for "every student's right to live out their faith," after successfully challenging the district on behalf of a fifth-grade special-needs student. According to the law group, the young girl shared typed Bible verses on little strips of paper with classmates during recess, lunch, and after school. The student, who is described as a devout Christian, shared scriptures such as Psalm 112:7, which reads, "They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord," and Revelation 12:5, which states, "He who was seated on the throne said, 'I am making everything new," when others were "having a bad day."
In early May, Phylicia Miner, the principal at Cedar Valley Elementary, called the girl into the office and confiscated the material refusing to return it to her. In the letter, the student's interaction with the principal left her feeling "frightened and confused as to why her attempt to spread the joy of Jesus was wrong." Miner later called the girl's foster mother and cited concerns that "parents might be upset" about the student handing out Bible verses, the ACLJ explained in a press release. The mother requested the material back and attempted to defend her daughter's action explaining that the fifth grader has a constitutional right to distribute religious literature and "share her joy and faith during non-class time." Three days later, the principal contacted the mother again and informed her that the school district's policy "prohibits all distribution of religious material on school property at any time."
According to the ACLJ, the principal failed to provide the mom with the school district policy for reference but rather pointed her to a website that outlined an irrelevant policy. "Despite repeated requests, the principal did not provide the specific policy that would justify this total ban, instead directing the mother to the Killeen ISD website. The cited policy, 'Non-school Materials From Students,' requires prior approval from the principal before any non-school material is distributed, a standard that conflicts with established religious liberty under the First Amendment," Jordan Sekulow, Executive Director of the ACLJ, explained in a statement. The ACLJ sent a demand letter to the school district on behalf of the student and her mother, outlining that the 1969 U.S. Supreme Court decision in Tinker v. Des Moines Independent Community School District, upheld that students do not "shed their constitutional rights to freedom of speech or expression at the schoolhouse gate." The letter also pointed out that students have a right to pass out religious material during non-instruction periods as long as it doesn't disrupt the learning environment. (CBN) Read More Here

- Father, we celebrate VICTORY for this Christian student and for protection of children across our nation boldly living their faith. Continue to bless ACLJ attorneys as they work hard to protect religious and constitutional freedoms. May God's Word become the pillar of strength for every believer to stand firm, as they fight against attacks of the enemy across our nation. We declare in Jesus Name, that young believers will be empowered by the Holy Spirit to become 'salt and light ' to their peers, drawing others to know and walk with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior! By the blood of Yeshua- Amen and Amen.
- "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house." (Matthew 5:14-15)

Democrats lose key appeal on Trump’s ‘big, beautiful bill’ as vote-a-rama kicks off
|
|
The Senate has kicked off its vote-a-rama on the massive GOP policy legislation dubbed the “big, beautiful bill” Monday morning after a marathon weekend of adjusting legislation to fit parliamentarian rulings and appease particular senators.
Democrats will be at the heart of the action, as they try to amend the mammoth bill that champions President Trump’s agenda — or at least force Republicans to take tough votes.
Already Democrats lost a key appeal when the chamber voted along party lines that an extension of the expiring 2017 tax cuts could be scored as deficit neutral, meaning the legislation complies with the Byrd Rule and can pass by a simple-majority vote.
Republicans can lose a maximum of three votes, and Sens. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) and Rand Paul (R-Ky.) are already expected to vote “no” over their opposition to proposed Medicaid cuts and the inclusion of a $5 trillion debt ceiling hike, respectively. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Monday during a briefing that Tillis is “wrong” in his assertion that the Senate bill would break Trump’s promise to not cut Medicaid.
The House will return midweek to vote on the bill. (The Hill) Read more here.

Authorities find man dead with firearm nearby hours after Idaho firefighters killed in ambush
|
|
A SWAT team has located a deceased man and a nearby firearm hours after a sniper shot and killed two firefighters and injured another while they were battling a wildfire in Idaho, authorities confirmed late Sunday.
The Kootenai County Sheriff's office said the deceased male was located on Canfield Mountain. A shelter in place was lifted, but an active wildfire remained, the sheriff's office said.
The update came hours after the International Association of Fire Fighters confirmed that the two victims who were killed were firefighters. Some 300 law enforcement officers were on scene.
"While responding to a fire earlier today in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, IAFF members were ambushed in a heinous act of violence. Two of our brothers were killed by a sniper, and a third brother remains in surgery," the association said. "Please keep them, their families, and law enforcement in your prayers."
FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino said the agency responded to the scene to provide tactical and operational support.
"FBI technical teams and tactical assets are currently on the scene providing support. It remains an active, and very dangerous scene," Bongino said just before 9 p.m.
During a news conference, Kootenai County Sheriff Robert Norris said two firefighters were killed and a third was fighting for his life but was in stable condition after undergoing surgery.
"We do believe the suspect started the fire and we do believe that it was an ambush and it was intentional," he said, noting that a preliminary investigation suggests there was only one gunman. "This was a total ambush. These firefighters did not have a chance."
The sheriff said a recommendation was made at about 6:30 p.m. to neutralize the shooter. Law enforcement was able to track a cellphone signal to the suspect's location.
He added that the fire compromised evidence at the crime scene, saying: "we felt that as the fire was approaching we needed to scoop up that body." (Fox News) Read more here.

Customs and Border Protection Raid Human Smuggling Hub in Los Angeles Linked to Iranian Terror Suspects (VIDEO)
|
|
A massive human smuggling ring with Iranian terror ties was busted up by the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP), raising more concerns about potential terror sleeper cells in America as the Iran-Israel war continues.
The CBP revealed on Friday night that it had executed a federal search warrant at a human smuggling hub in Los Angeles tied to national security threats from Iran.
During the operation, two people were arrested thanks to a combined effort from the CBP’s Special Response Team, Border Patrol tactical units, and Air and Marine Operations.
CBP noted that seven Iranian nationals were arrested at the same address earlier in the week. These included ones on the FBI Terror Watchlist and associates of an Iranian human trafficking network.
The agency also said that the house has been repeatedly used to harbor illegal aliens linked to terrorism.
This news comes as the Trump Administration made a massive nationwide bust just a few days ago, which sent shockwaves across the Internet.
The Gateway Pundit previously reported that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on Tuesday arrested 11 Iranian nationals found to be living in the country illegally, including individuals with suspected terrorist ties and significant criminal histories.
These individuals were apprehended from eight states, including Minnesota, Mississippi, Alabama, California, New York, Colorado, and Texas. (The Gateway Pundit) Read more here

Top Iranian cleric issues 'fatwa' against Trump, Netanyahu
|
|
Iran's top Shiite cleric issued a religious decree against President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Sunday, an act some experts called an incitement to terrorism.
The fatwa from Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi called on Muslims around the world to take a stand, according to the New York Sun. It states that any individual or government that challenges or endangers the leadership and unity of the global Islamic community (the Ummah) is to be regarded as a "warlord" or a "mohareb," defined as someone who wages war against God. Under Iranian law, those identified as mohareb can face execution, crucifixion, limb amputation, or exile.
"Those who threaten the leadership and integrity of the Islamic Ummah are to be considered warlords," Makarem said in the ruling. He finished with a prayer asking for protection from these "enemies" and for the swift return of the Mahdi. (Fox News) Read more here

Your word tells us that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Give wisdom on how to fight this battle in the Spirit as we wait for your assignment that will take this wicked regime down. We ask Father, that you release the Islamic people who have seen the truth from this wickedness and we ask that YOU take down the violent jihad that this Iranian Cleric has called for! The battle is yours as we come in agreement with you! You are the Lord and there is no other! In Jesus' name, Amen.

1. Israeli mayor bans Haaretz over anti-IDF ‘blood libel’ - JNS
Arad Mayor Yair Maayan announced on Friday that he would ban the left-wing daily Haaretz from his city over what he said was a “false blood libel” in a feature article accusing the Israeli Defense Forces of “deliberately” firing on Gazans near aid distribution sites.
“The municipality will not allow false incitement against IDF soldiers and the State of Israel, certainly in times of war. The municipality will act to prevent the entry of the inciting newspaper into the city in accordance with the Prevention of Incitement Law,” Maayan told JNS.
The mayor wouldn’t say if the ban would include door-to-door deliveries of Haaretz to subscribers, although that number is likely negligible given the newspaper’s relatively small Hebrew print distribution.
The Haaretz article, by Nir Hasson, Yaniv Kubovich and Bar Peleg, titled, “‘It’s a Killing Field’: IDF Soldiers Ordered to Shoot Deliberately at Unarmed Gazans Waiting for Humanitarian Aid,” cites anonymous Israeli soldiers and officers who accuse the IDF of firing on Gazans using tanks, artillery and snipers to prevent them from approaching areas where they weren’t permitted. 2. Gantz calls for deal to free all the hostages ‘even if the price is a long ceasefire’
- Times of Israel
National Unity chairman Benny Gantz demands that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu come to an agreement to free all of the hostages “even if the price is a long ceasefire.”
“There is no war in Gaza — there is fighting. Right from the beginning, we determined that the intense campaign would last three months, followed by continued fighting for a year or perhaps more, in order to dismantle Hamas’s military infrastructure. That’s long overdue,” Gantz, who served in Netanyahu’s now-defunct war cabinet, tells reporters ahead of his party’s weekly faction meeting at the Knesset.
“I said from the beginning that the process of reshaping Gaza would take about a decade. It’s time to explain this to the public and start working to shape this reality, instead of letting others decide over our heads,” he says. (Read more)

3. ‘If it means surrendering to Hamas, we will not be part of it’ - JNS
Any ceasefire or post-war arrangement regarding Gaza must meet specific criteria outlined by the Cabinet, Israeli Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi said on Sunday.
“Three essential goals must be achieved,” Karhi told JNS. “First, the return of all hostages; second, the elimination of Hamas’s governing and military capabilities; and third, ensuring that the Gaza Strip no longer poses a threat to the State of Israel.”
He added that, beyond these objectives, U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposal to resettle Gazans who so wish in other countries is “a significant and worthwhile initiative that should also be pursued.” (Read more)

4. Israel Eyes Ties With Syria and Lebanon After Iran War - Algemeiner
Israel is interested in establishing formal diplomatic relations with long-standing adversaries Syria and Lebanon, but the status of the Golan Heights is non-negotiable, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said on Monday.
Israeli leaders argue that with its rival Iran weakened by this month’s 12-day war, other countries in the region have an opportunity to forge ties with Israel.
The Middle East has been upended by nearly two years of war in Gaza, during which Israel also carried out airstrikes and ground operations inLebanon targeting Iran-backed Hezbollah, and by the overthrow of former Syrian leader and Iran ally Bashar al-Assad.
In 2020, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Morocco became the first Arab states to establishties with Israel since Jordan in 1994 and Egypt in 1979. The normalization agreements with Israel were deeply unpopular in the Arab world. (Read more)

5. Three More Suspected Iranian Spies Arrested in Israel - Jewish Press
Israeli Police officers and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) agents have arrested three more suspected Israeli spies for Iran, in two separate incidents, according to a joint statement by the two security agencies.
Two of the suspect spies are residents of Tiberias. Yoni Segal, 18, and Nehorai Omri Mizrahi, 20, are accused of filming shopping malls and hospitals across the country, sending their Iranian handler information on the number of stores and security guards, and layout of each building.
The Iranians received information from the pair on shopping malls in major Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv, Haifa and Tiberias, as well as information on Ichilov Medical Center in Tel Aviv.
An Iranian agent also allegedly tried to persuade Mizrahi to murder an unnamed fellow Israeli for a payment of hundreds of thousands of shekels. The handler also allegedly offered to fly Mizrahi and Segal to a foreign country, where they would be trained and then be given the identity of their target. The plan, however, never materialized. 1. G7 agrees to avoid higher taxes for US and UK companies
- Reuters
June 28 (Reuters) - The United States and the Group of Seven nations have agreed to support a proposal that would exempt U.S. companies from some components of an existing global agreement, the G7 said in a statement on Saturday.
The group has created a "side-by-side" system in response to the U.S. administration agreeing to scrap the Section 899 retaliatory tax proposal from President Donald Trump's tax and spending bill, it said in a statement from Canada, the head of the rolling G7 presidency.
The G7 said the plan recognizes existing U.S. minimum tax laws and aims to bring more stability to the international tax system. (Read more here.)

2. ICE Goes After Church Leaders and Christians Fleeing Persecution - Christianity Today
On Tuesday, pastor Ara Torosian recorded on his phone as masked Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arrested two of his church members on a Los Angeles sidewalk. The Iranian husband and wife had pending asylum cases, according to Torosian. They fled Iran for fear of persecution for being Christians and had been part of his congregation for about a year.
The detentions add to a growing number of church members and Christians seeking religious protection who get picked up by ICE. Often they have no apparent criminal history. In many instances, they were in the United States lawfully, complying with orders from immigration courts. ICE has traditionally not deported individuals with pending asylum petitions, who are allowed to work while their cases proceed.
Immigration arrests have shaken church communities across the country. In April, Kasper Eriksen, a Danish national and homeschooling father of four in Mississippi, was arrested at his final citizenship hearing after an apparent paperwork error. As of late May, he remained in ICE detention. “We have an army of prayer warriors fighting for us,” his wife Savannah, a US citizen, wrote in a fundraising appeal. (BE SURE TO READ MORE HERE.)

3. Trump’s halting of protections for Haitian migrants draws concerns from Christian groups - Christian Post
Christian advocacy organizations are raising alarm as the Trump administration plans to terminate Temporary Protected Status for Haitian nationals by Sept. 2, ending their legal residency and work authorizations in the United States amid fears of insecurity back home.
The decision, which could impact over 500,000 migrants, followed a review of country conditions and consultations with other agencies, concluding that Haiti no longer meets the statutory requirements for TPS designation, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem said in a statement.
"The environmental situation in Haiti has improved enough that it is safe for Haitian citizens to return home," a DHS spokesperson said. However, critics have pushed back against those assertions. (Read more here)

Large crowds of mourners dressed in black lined streets in Iran's capital Tehran as the country held a funeral on Saturday for top military commanders, nuclear scientists and some of the civilians killed during this month's aerial war with Israel.
At least 16 scientists and 10 senior commanders were among those mourned at the funeral, according to state media, including armed forces chief Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Revolutionary Guards commander General Hossein Salami, and Guards Aerospace Force chief General Amir Ali Hajizadeh.
State TV said the funeral, dubbed the "procession of the Martyrs of Power", was held for a total of 60 people killed in the war, including four women and four children.
U.S. President Donald Trump said on Friday that he would consider bombing Iran again, while Khamenei, who has appeared in two pre-recorded video messages since the start of the war, has said Iran would respond to any future U.S. attack by striking U.S. military bases in the Middle East. (Read more)

Rebellion and the Firepans of Presumption
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, June 30, 2025
Numbers 16 through 18 delivers a thunderous message—one of rebellion, divine authority, and the sobering truth that God defines how He is to be approached and worshipped. Korah, a Levite, wasn’t content with his God-given responsibilities. Instead, he stirred up 250 leaders of Israel to challenge Moses’ and Aaron’s leadership and authority, accusing them of spiritual elitism: “All the congregation is holy… why then do you exalt yourselves? (Numbers 16:3)” This mutiny against Moses was an indirect challenge to God’s established order. How Moses handled this insurrection speaks volumes as to how we as believers should discern righteousness, embrace truth and respond to challenges, especially rebellion.
Moses, recognizing the weight of this rebellion, didn’t argue—he fell on his face before the Lord. Instead of defending himself, he deferred to God, calling for a test: each rebel leader would bring a firepan with incense before the LORD. It wasn’t arbitrary. Moses knew the gravity. Incense was not only ceremonial—it was sacred, intimate worship reserved for those appointed by God. The test determined who is chosen by God to come near Him. Korah and the rebels boldly accepted. Then came the judgment. The ground split open and swallowed Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, their families, and their possessions. Fire from the LORD consumed the 250 who dared bring unauthorized incense. Then, God commanded Moses to collect the rebels’ bronze firepans and hammer them into a covering for the altar in the outer courtyard. Why? Read More

Rep. Steube slams Senate parliamentarian for gutting Trump's legislative agenda
|
|
|
An unelected Senate parliamentarian should not be deciding what stays and what doesn't in the so-called "Big, Beautiful Bill," Rep. Greg Steube, R-Fla., told Fox News Channel in an interview that earned President Trump's approval.
Conservatives were furious on Thursday morning after learning Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough ruled several key reforms and tweaks to Medicaid in the Senate GOP’s version of President Trump’s bill did not pass muster with Senate Rules. One senator, Roger Marshall, of Kansas, called for MacDonough to be replaced.
Steube was a guest on FOX Report on Sunday morning, when host Jon Scott asked him where he stood on whether the parliamentarian should have been overruled or even fired. He agreed with Marshall.
"Yeah, I had called for her to be fired," Steube said. "I don’t think that one person who’s unelected, who got appointed over a decade ago, should be the one deciding what stays in and what doesn’t."
Lawmakers across the U.S. were elected by their constituents to make those decisions; not the parliamentarians, he said.
At the moment, Republicans hold majorities in the House and the Senate. MacDonough was appointed by the late Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who was a Democrat. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Abba, it's hard to understand the details of exactly what the Senate Parliamentarian did to negatively impact President Trump's Big Beautiful Bill. We ask You to move in might and power to accomplish Your perfect will concerning the content and passage of this legislation. We ask You to speak to Ms. MacDonough's heart as she reviews in her own mind how she arrived at her decisions on this bill. We ask You to bring conviction if her decisions were not what You intended for the BBB. We ask You to remove anything not pleasing to You and to retain all that is Your plan for our nation. We ask this in the name El Shaddai, God Almighty, the God who has ultimate power over all things.

Mamdani doubles down on plan for 'richer and Whiter' NYC neighborhoods, says billionaires shouldn't exist
|
|
|
New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani doubled down on his plan to tax "richer and Whiter neighborhoods," while also adding that he believes billionaires should not exist.
The democratic socialist claimed Sunday that his push to burden White taxpayers was not racist, despite his agenda explicitly targeting White-majority areas.
"That is just a description of what we see right now," Mamdani told NBC’s "Meet the Press" on Sunday. "It’s not driven by race. It’s more of an assessment of what neighborhoods are being under taxed and overtaxed."
Mamdani’s policy proposal, "Stop the Squeeze on NYC Homeowners," outlines his plans to "shift the tax burden from overtaxed homeowners in the outer boroughs to more expensive homes in richer and Whiter neighborhoods." (Fox News) Read more here.

- Father God, we are not pleased that Zohran Mamdani has won last week's election to serve as Mayor of New York City, but we are pleased that, once again, You have given us a wake-up call to know how close we are now to a Communist/Islamic takeover.
We ask that, by the power of Your Spirit, we would be galvanized to take action, and to stand watch carefully in each of our cities and states to identify and to block any other men or women who are of like mind, and who desire to seize the reigns of power in our government.
Thank You, O Lord, for hearing our prayer, amen and amen!

Trump's 24th week set to focus on 'big, beautiful bill' passage ahead of Independence Day deadline
|
|
|
President Donald Trump's 24th week back in the Oval Office is set to focus on Republican lawmakers sprinting to meet a July 4 deadline to pass a massive piece of legislation that will advance the president's agenda, while the White House simultaneously juggles ongoing talks related to conflict and tensions in the Middle East.
Trump's 23rd week in office was one of his most consequential on the books after he ordered U.S. military strikes on a trio of nuclear facilities in Iran last Saturday evening that critics said threatened to pull the U.S. into another war. Instead, the strikes appear to have wiped out Iran's burgeoning nuclear program that had the Middle East and nations worldwide on edge. It ended in a ceasefire between Iran and Israel as Trump took a victory lap for ending the "12 Day War."
"This is a War that could have gone on for years, and destroyed the entire Middle East, but it didn’t, and never will! God bless Israel, God bless Iran, God bless the Middle East, God bless the United States of America, and GOD BLESS THE WORLD!" Trump posted to Truth Social last week.
‘One big, beautiful bill’
Republicans in Washington, D.C., are hyper-focused on passing the "one big, beautiful bill" this week, ahead of lawmakers' July 4 deadline to land the legislation on Trump's desk for his signature. The budget reconciliation bill, if passed, will advance Trump's agenda on taxes, immigration, energy, defense and the national debt. The legislation is currently before the Senate.
Senate Republicans successfully carried the legislation over a procedural hurdle late on Saturday in a 51-49 party-line vote after hours of negotiations. All Republicans voted in support of advancing the bill except for Sens. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., and Rand Paul, R-Ky. Tillis announced on Sunday, after bucking Republican colleagues and the president, that he would not seek reelection in 2026.
Following the procedural vote, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., required clerks on the Senate floor to read the entire 940-page Senate GOP’s version of Trump’s megabill as a delay tactic that stalled debate on the package by about 16 hours.
"Tonight we saw a GREAT VICTORY in the Senate with the "GREAT, BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL," but, it wouldn’t have happened without the Fantastic Work of Senator Rick Scott, Senator Mike Lee, Senator Ron Johnson, and Senator Cynthia Lummis," Trump posted to Truth Social overnight Saturday.
"They, along with all of the other Republican Patriots who voted for the Bill, are people who truly love our Country! As President of the USA, I am proud of them all, and look forward to working with them to GROW OUR ECONOMY, REDUCE WASTEFUL SPENDING, SECURE OUR BORDER, FIGHT FOR OUR MILITARY/VETS, ENSURE THAT OUR MEDICAID SYSTEM HELPS THOSE WHO TRULY NEED IT, PROTECT OUR SECOND AMENDMENT, AND SO MUCH MORE." A week-long heat wave set over 2,800 record high temperatures in towns across the nation, with some spots measuring their hottest June or all-time temperatures.
A total of 955 daily high temperature records and 1,899 daily high minimum (warm night) records were tied or broken during the last week's heat wave.
Records dating back to the 1800s were shattered as an early-summer heat wave roasted large areas of the central and eastern United States. AccuWeather RealFeel® Temperatures blew past the 100-degree mark, air conditioners were on full blast, and cities opened cooling centers to help people cope with the intense heat.

"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."
