Columbia Hits Dozens Of Students With Suspensions, Expulsions
For Anti-Israel Campus Takeovers
|

Columbia University suspended or expelled more than 70 students, some of whom took part in the anti-Israel library takeover in May and others who were involved in last year’s tent encampment on the New York City campus, the New York Post reported on Tuesday. Around 50 of the anti-Israel students will be suspended for between one and three years, according to the Post, which cited multiple sources familiar with the matter. The majority of the suspensions are for two years, while only a “handful” of students were expelled.
The Ivy League school was in the national spotlight during the spring of 2024 as an anti-Israel demonstration-turned-riot rocked the campus. The punishments for the tent encampment and the library takeover were doled out on Monday following a review from Columbia University’s Judicial Board. “Our institution must focus on delivering on its academic mission for our community. And to create a thriving academic community, there must be respect for each other and the institution’s fundamental work, policies, and rules,” a Columbia spokesman said in a statement. “Disruptions to academic activities are in violation of University policies and Rules, and such violations will necessarily generate consequences." Too many of those with their fingers on the levers of power in America’s institutions are quite simply lacking in virtue and integrity. Those who are willing to deceive the American public on a mass scale, fabricate pseudo-geopolitical crises, target and dehumanize entire swaths of the American people, and ruthlessly prosecute political opponents on the most dishonest of claims have clearly abandoned both virtue and integrity in the mad, starving search for power. For some, this power is both a means and end in itself, something to be used to accumulate more power, or to hold onto what power one has already hoarded. For others, power is simply a means to an end. While this approach is not in itself evil, it becomes both evil and exceedingly dangerous when it is uncoupled from both virtue and integrity. EXCLUSIVE - BROOKLYN, NY: NYC Republican Councilwoman Inna Vernikov revealed the popularity of socialist mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani is driven by his supporters falling for the "pipe dream" that socialism and communism have to offer.
Vernikov, who was born in Soviet Ukraine, told Fox News Digital that she remembers standing in milk and bread lines with her grandfather, adding that Mamdani’s policies are an "experiment that has been done before."
"When you look at the Soviet Union, this is exactly what they did," Vernikov said. "They promised the people, everything, and at the end, who got rich? Only the government. And I think that's what's happening here."
When asked what is behind Mamdani’s surge in popularity that skyrocketed him to the top of the national conversation when he won the Democratic primary for the largest city in the United States, Vernikov suggested many of his voters are motivated by "guilt." (Fox News)

Protecting Children Starts At Home, But Needs To Be Part Of All Avenues In Life
|
|
A bill positioned as the "Equality Act" is gradually moving its way through Congress, and is designed to "crush moral decency and religious freedom beneath the feet of the radical LGBTQ lobby," says experts. Read more at Million Voices.
- The so-called "Equality Act" aims to make abortion a federal right, and seeks to punish anyone (particularly Christians and other religious institutions) that do not promote the murder of unborn children, according to the bill language and analysis by Liberty Counsel Action.
- The bill is being called a "dangerous ambush of religious freedoms," and may also allow pedophiles to become a "protected class" under the specific language used.
- This abhorrent attack against children comes from the "Q" in the LGBTQ definition of sexual orientation, which Cosmopolitan described as "Queerness is an umbrella term that is both an orientation and a community. ... The vagueness of the term is intentional— queer is an identity created for anyone outside of the heterosexual norm and meant to be inclusive."
- LGBTQ Nation added in their analysis that "... the Q in LGBTQ can also signify other sexual orientations and genders not covered by the acronym's preceding letters. If you're gender-neutral, non-binary, agender, genderfluid, pansexual, asexual, solosexual or something else not covered by LGBT, the Q has got you covered!"
- Among other things, the "Equality Act" will mean that:
- Biological men will have the “right” to use women’s bathrooms, showers and locker rooms — even in schools.
- Churches will be forced to provide equal access to LGBTQ ceremonies if the facilities are open to natural marriage ceremonies.
- Churches and religious schools would be forced to hire staff involved in LGBTQ conduct; give men access to restrooms, locker rooms, showers and sports; allow boys to bunk with girls on camping and overnight trips; and provide insurance to cover hormones, mutilating surgeries, and chemical and surgical abortions.
- Noncompliant churches and schools will lose federal, state, and local tax exemptions and accreditations.
- From pre-K, children will be taught that they can choose their gender, will be encouraged to experiment with each other to find their "identities" and will be able to demand opposite, both and neither sex pronouns (he for a girl, zie for neither, mx for both).
- Pregnancy centers will be forced to provide abortion referrals.

Who Will Succeed Fed Chair Jerome Powell? Here Are the Top Contenders

The search for a replacement for Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell is underway at the White House.
While President Donald Trump has confirmed that Powell will not be fired ahead of the expiration of his term in May 2026, senior administration officials have started reviewing candidates to lead the U.S. central bank for the next four years.
Trump and his team have not identified who these individuals are, with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent telling the press that there are good internal and external candidates.

“There’s a formal process that’s already starting,” Bessent told Bloomberg Television on July 15. “There are a lot of good candidates inside and outside the Federal Reserve.”

Trump Vows to Repeat Strikes after Iran Vows to Continue Nuclear Program

Even after a U.S. strike devastated their nuclear program last month, Iran is doubling down on continuing to pursue nuclear enrichment, declaring Monday that it “cannot give up” the program due to “national pride.” President Trump responded by stating that the U.S. would repeat a strike on Tehran to thwart a future nuclear threat “if necessary.”
During a Fox News interview on Monday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated, “We cannot give up our enrichment because it is an achievement of our own scientists. And now, more than that, it is a question of national pride. Our enrichment is so dear to us.”
Araghchi went on to acknowledge that the Islamist regime’s nuclear facilities had been “seriously damaged” by the U.S. strike and that the country’s enrichment operations are currently at a standstill. The admission bolstered a recent American intelligence assessment that found that Iran’s primary enrichment site buried deep underneath a mountain at Fordo had been severely damaged and likely destroyed, an appraisal that had been in doubt after initial reports estimated that the damage may not have been extensive.

1. Iran doubles down on refusal to end nuclear program, ready for war with Israel

Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian on Wednesday doubled down on Tehran’s refusal to abandon its nuclear program and said Iran is "fully prepared" for a renewed fight with Israel.
The Iranian president’s comments came just two days after Tehran’s foreign minister confirmed to Fox News that Iran will not give up its enrichment program, but continues to claim Tehran is not interested in developing a nuclear weapon.
"[US President Donald] Trump says that Iran should not have a nuclear weapon and we accept this because we reject nuclear weapons and this is our political, religious, humanitarian and strategic position," Pezeshkian said in an interview with Al Jazeera. (Read more)

2. Israeli suspected of plotting to assassinate Netanyahu with explosive device

A 70-year-old woman from central Israel, affiliated with the anti-government protest movement, is suspected of conspiring with others to assassinate Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu using an explosive device.
The woman, a resident of Tel Aviv, was arrested by the Shin Bet two weeks ago and interrogated by the Israel Police's National Unit for Serious and International Crime Investigations. She was released under restrictive conditions, including a ban on approaching government buildings or Netanyahu.
According to police, the woman expressed her intention to assassinate the prime minister and approached fellow protesters in an attempt to obtain weapons and gather information about Netanyahu's security arrangements. (Read more)

3. Knesset passes non-binding motion on Judea and Samaria sovereignty - JNS
A majority of 71 out of 120 Knesset members on Wednesday passed a non-binding resolution in favor of applying Israeli sovereignty to Judea, Samaria, and the Jordan Valley.
Only 13 lawmakers voted against the resolution, submitted by Dan Illouz (Likud), Simcha Rothman (Religious Zionism), Limor Son Har-Melech (Otzma Yehudit) and Oded Forer (Yisrael Beiteinu).
“Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley are an inseparable part of the Land of Israel—the historic, cultural and spiritual homeland of the Jewish people,” the preamble to the resolution states.
“Centuries and millennia before the establishment of the modern state, the forefathers and prophets of the nation lived and acted in these regions,” it continues. “Here, the foundations of Jewish faith and culture were laid. Cities like Hebron, Shechem (Nablus), Shiloh and Beit El are not merely historical sites—they are living expressions of the continuous Jewish presence in the land.” (Read more)

4. Hamas claims terror group submitted Gaza ceasefire proposal to mediators - report - Jerusalem Post
Hamas claims that the terror group handed its response to the Israeli ceasefire proposal to mediators, Hamas's official news agency SAFA reported on Thursday morning.
This follows an Israeli official telling The Jerusalem Post on Wednesday that Hamas has yet to deliver an official response to the Israeli proposal that was submitted a week ago and is now raising new demands on issues that had already been resolved.
The hostage-ceasefire deal mediators refused to relay Hamas’s response to Israel’s proposed deal on Tuesday, saying it was not a serious answer, two people familiar with the matter told the Post.
At a meeting with representatives from Qatar and Egypt in Doha on Tuesday, Hamas officials responded to the framework. (Read more)

5. After a 5-month manhunt: Forces arrest terrorist behind central Israel bus bombings - Israel National News
IDF, Shin Bet, and Border Police forces in Shechem (Nablus) on Wednesday apprehended the terrorist Abd al-Karim Sanubar, who carried out the terrorist attack using explosives planted in three parked buses in the central cities of Bat Yam and Holon on February 20th, 2025.
The security forces apprehended the terrorist following a months-long pursuit. An explosion that occurred yesterday was likely the result of the terrorist coming into contact with additional explosives in his possession, which ultimately led the forces to his location. He was injured in the explosion and fled the apartment.
Overnight, following precise ISA intelligence, IDF, ISA, and Israel Border Police forces launched an extensive 19-hour-long pursuit.
As part of the pursuit, and during searches conducted near the structure in which the explosion occurred, the forces located and dismantled several ready-to-use explosives which were in the terrorist’s possession. (Read more)

1. Appeals court finds Trump’s effort to end birthright citizenship unconstitutional, upholds block - AP News
A federal appeals court ruled Wednesday that President Donald Trump’s order seeking to end birthright citizenship is unconstitutional, affirming a lower-court decision that blocked its enforcement nationwide.
The ruling from a three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals comes after Trump’s plan was also blocked by a federal judge in New Hampshire. It brings the issue one step closer to coming back quickly before the Supreme Court.
The 9th Circuit decision keeps a block on the Trump administration enforcing the order that would deny citizenship to children born to people who are in the United States illegally or temporarily.
“The district court correctly concluded that the Executive Order’s proposed interpretation, denying citizenship to many persons born in the United States, is unconstitutional. We fully agree,” the majority wrote. (Read more) |

2. Majority Of Americans Support Teacher-Led Prayer In Schools - Million Voices
A Pew Research study promoted in June 2025 revealed that a majority of Americans support teacher-led prayer in public schools. A little over half of U.S. adults who responded to the study (52%) said they support allowing teachers in public schools to lead their classrooms in prayer that refers to Jesus Christ, according to Pew. Some 27% said they strongly favor this action, while 26% said they favor it, suggesting that this is a significant want for many Americans.
The survey was conducted within a cohort of 37,000 U.S. adults from every single state, including the District of Columbia. Across 22 states, more adults said they favor teachers leading classes in prayer more than they oppose it. “Support for Christian prayer in schools is particularly high in parts of the South, including Mississippi (81%), Alabama (75%), Arkansas (75%), Louisiana (74%) and South Carolina (71%),” the study authors wrote in their analysis. President Donald Trump declared that the United States will do "whatever it takes" to win the global race to artificial intelligence dominance, during an address at a summit held in the nation's capital Wednesday. "From this day forward, it'll be a policy of the United States to do whatever it takes to lead the world in artificial intelligence," Trump said during his address shortly ahead of signing three new executive orders that are aimed at boosting the country's artificial intelligence capabilities.
Meanwhile, Trump also slammed the former Biden administration for "weaponizing" and restricting AI innovation and advancements.

5. Florida judge rules Epstein grand jury records will remain sealed - ABC News
A federal judge in Florida denied one of three Justice Department requests to unseal grand jury records tied to federal investigations into Epstein, according to a public order released Wednesday.
The request is one of three made by the Justice Department to judges in New York and Florida seeking to unseal records from federal investigations into Epstein.
According to the order by District Judge Robin Rosenberg, the records the department sought to unseal related to grand juries convened in West Palm Beach in 2005 and 2007 that had investigated Epstein.
Judge Rosenberg faulted the Justice Department for failing to outline sufficient arguments to justify the unsealing of the records, which are normally protected under strict secrecy rules. (Read more) |

6. Tulsi Gabbard speaks from White House on bombshell documents about Obama and Russia-collusion hoax - DML News
During a White House press briefing Wednesday afternoon, National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard spoke to reporters and said evidence she has uncovered shows that former president Barack Obama knowingly lied and intentionally manufactured fake intel that promoted the Russia collusion hoax.
Gabbard released declassified documents last Friday, which indicate that the Obama administration made “a very intentional decision” to create a manufactured, politicized piece of intelligence to support the fake “Trump-Russia collusion” claim.

Stupidocrisy: Better Aborted Than Shot at School

Democratic Congressman Maxwell Frost (D-FL) on July 1 made possibly the dumbest statement of 2025 so far—and there have been a lot to choose from. Frost said Republicans want “the baby to be born, go to school and get shot in the school. Die in the schools, die on the streets–” And he said it in a House Rules Committee hearing where he was cut off by Chairwoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC), saying, “You’ve gone over the cliff. We are all going to be quiet now.” To which Frost quipped, “I meant every word.” First, it’s voter insanity that would elect the likes of Frost to represent them in the first place, but his bold ignorance is all part of the left’s shrill attack on defunding Planned Parenthood.
According to Frost and his ideological echo chamber, removing taxpayer funding from America’s most prolific abortion provider is somehow illegal. Enter stage left: liberal judges clutching their pearls, ready to rule that any attempt to limit the government’s direct line to Planned Parenthood’s bank account is a constitutional emergency. But let’s set the record straight. Planned Parenthood has long insisted that federal money doesn’t pay for abortions. I’ve snuck into meetings hosted by Democrats on Capitol Hill where Planned Parenthood representatives have openly discussed how the “healthcare” side of Planned Parenthood’s business keeps the lights on for their abortion mill. WASHINGTON—The Chinese Communist Party has been exploiting the U.S. courts to censor critics and advance its own interests at the expense of the United States, experts told a congressional panel on July 22.
The regime’s scheme, also called legal warfare or lawfare, includes using third parties to file lawsuits against the regime’s targets and burdening them with heavy legal fees, as well as gaming U.S. laws to shield Chinese bad actors from consequences, the panel members said.
“Beijing works to shape U.S. laws and regulations and their implementation, in many cases via U.S. entities that have been co-opted by dependence on or resources from the PRC,” said Emily de La Bruyère, senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, using the acronym for People’s Republic of China.
The regime has proved itself willing to “use the U.S. legal system to punish those who stand in its way,” she said.
“All of that is not new,” Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), who chairs the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet, said in his opening statement. “We see it in criminal operations, in human trafficking, in drug smuggling, in commercial fraud, and that is not limited to any one country, but the fact that it’s backed by a powerful country who is using and weaponizing this is particularly disturbing.
“This is over and above the 10,000 attacks a day that occur on the internet. This is over and above their spying. This is over and above the abuses that occur on companies in China. Top DOJ Official Seeks to Meet With Ex-Epstein Associate Ghislaine Maxwell

A top Department of Justice (DOJ) official announced Tuesday that he will attempt to personally interview convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell to ask her about possible suspects who may have been involved in the late financier’s crimes.
Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence in a federal facility in Florida after she was convicted for her role in a sex trafficking operation that involved Epstein.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, a former personal attorney to President Donald Trump, wrote in a post on X that “for the first time,” the DOJ “is reaching out” to Maxwell to ask her, “what do you know?”
Blanche added that he has contacted Maxwell’s attorneys, at the direction of Attorney General Pam Bondi, who reposted a longer statement from Blanche on X.
“I intend to meet with her soon. No one is above the law—and no lead is off-limits,” Blanche said in his post on Tuesday morning.
Blanche said that the DOJ and FBI’s statement released earlier this month that Epstein did not keep an alleged “client list,” did not engage in blackmail with high-level officials or celebrities, and killed himself in a federal jail in Manhattan in August 2019 remains accurate. WASHINGTON—A political earthquake hit New York City on the night of June 24, as state Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani was elected as the Democratic Party’s nominee for mayor in the 2025 general election.
Mamdani, a 33-year-old self-described democratic socialist, won 56 percent of the vote against former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, the scion of the state’s latest political dynasty. As the Democratic nominee to lead one of the country’s most Democratic-leaning cities, Mamdani would traditionally be the favorite to win November’s general election.
However, this time might be different. Mamdani’s socialist views have concerned many constituencies in New York, where the issues of crime and affordability have pushed some voters away from the political left in search of less-progressive candidates.
Mayor Eric Adams, the incumbent, is running for reelection as an independent, and Cuomo, who lost the Democratic primary to Mamdani, is now running in the general election as the nominee of the newly formed Fight and Deliver party. Amid a splintering of Democratic support, the Republican nominee, Curtis Sliwa, is now polling in proximity to the frontrunners, which gives the GOP some unexpected influence in this campaign.

Schumer, Democrats try to save face, blame GOP for possible government shutdown

Congressional Democrats are trying to get on the same page and display a unified front after threatening to derail the government funding process.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., met behind closed doors Tuesday night, along with the top Democrats in the House and Senate Appropriations Committees, to plot a course forward in the forthcoming government funding fight.
The meeting came after Democrats in the upper chamber overwhelmingly supported the first government funding bill to hit the Senate floor, one that would fund military construction and Veterans Affairs. Ahead of the vote, Senate Democrats had signaled they may vote against the bill and further obstruct the appropriations process because of highly partisan legislation rammed through the upper chamber by Senate Republicans.
"We all want to pursue a bipartisan, bicameral appropriations process," Schumer said. "That's how it's always been done, successfully, and we believe that, however, the Republicans are making it extremely difficult to do that."
The meeting just off the Senate floor was meant to get congressional Democrats on board with a messaging plan over the next weeks and months ahead of the Sept. 30 deadline to fund the government.
It was also likely designed to prevent a repeat of the Democratic debacle in March, when Schumer broke with Jeffries and threatened to shutter the government before ultimately caving and providing Republicans the votes necessary to advance yet another government funding extension, known as a continuing resolution. At the start of this week I felt Nehemiah 6 come strongly upon my heart, and the encouragement and call of the Lord to not come down off the wall and what the Lord has called you to build and rebuild in this season.
As I leaned into the Lord and listened I heard Him speaking to many:
‘The heaviness and attack many of you have been facing has been coming after your voice. Lift your voice and come not down off the wall.’
There was such a strong sense that surrounded me, that the heaviness and attack which many have been facing was pushing so hard against them that there was such a strong temptation to come down off the wall of what the Lord had called them to build. There was a spiritual demonic lethargy that had come upon many, and the sense was so strong that I could feel so many feeling like they were just too tired to keep building or that it was too hard to keep going.

Scientists Found a Ghost Code Hidden in the Human Genome

An international team of scientists a family genome sequences known as “transposable elements,” and found they play a vital role in gene expression.
Here’s what you’ll learn when you read this story:
- Around 45 percent of human DNA is made up of transposable elements, or TEs—genetic leftovers from now-extinct viruses that scientists once believed to be “junk DNA.”
- But that view is changing, and a new study—which grouped TEs based on evolutionary relationships and level of conservation—found that one family of sequences known as MER11 plays a role in gene expression.
- Nearly 80 years after their initial discovery, scientists are still finding new things about how TEs play a vital role in primate evolution.
Ever since Swiss physician Friedrich Miescher first isolated DNA back in 1869, science has been on an incredible path of genomic discovery. One of the major moments in the journey occurred in the 1940s, when cytogeneticist Barbara McClintock discovered transposable elements (TE), also known as “jumping genes.” Decades later, The Human Genome Project found that these elements made up a staggering 45 percent of the human genome, and managed to proliferate over millions of years thanks to a “copy-and-paste” mechanism.
