Thousands Baptized Across US in Largest Simultaneous Event in History

On Pentecost Sunday, thousands of Believers across the nation made a public declaration of faith in what organizers say was the largest synchronized baptism event in American history. More than 26,000 people were baptized as part of Baptize America, an initiative involving over 650 churches from all 50 states. "The prayer of Jesus in John was that we would become one," said Pastor Mark Francey, one of the organizers. "And I think that's what we're seeing right now—a unity around what we all agree on, which is water baptism."
The event grew out of Baptize California, which began two years ago with 4,000 baptisms. That number jumped to more than 6,000 last year. This year's nationwide expansion culminated in a massive gathering at Pirate's Cove—a beach with deep spiritual roots. It's the same site where Pastor Chuck Smith conducted mass baptisms during the 1970s Jesus Movement, as portrayed in the 2023 film Jesus Revolution. For those present, the event was more than a celebration or milestone—it was a deeply personal spiritual experience. US, Chinese Officials Reach Trade Deal That Needs Executive Approval

‘We’re going to go back and speak to President Trump and make sure he approves it,’ Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said after talks in London.
Negotiators on both sides of the U.S.-China trade talks have walked out of two days of trade negotiations with an agreement to take back to their respective leaders that outlines a consensus framework for bilateral trade.
Leaving the talks in London on June 10, U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick told reporters, “We have reached a framework to implement the Geneva consensus and the call between the two presidents,” referring to the phone call between President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
On that call on June 5, Trump and Xi discussed the tensions that had inflamed again over China’s bans on rare earth exports, and U.S. bans on exports of advanced semiconductor chips to China.
“The idea is we’re going to go back and speak to President Trump and make sure he approves it,” Lutnick said of the framework reached. “They’re going to go back and speak to President Xi and make sure he approves it, and if that is approved, we will then implement the framework.”
If approved, the agreement should ease the dueling export controls that had threatened to unravel the consensus reached in Geneva in May.
Separately, China’s Vice Commerce Minister Li Chenggang also told Chinese state media Xinhua News Agency that a trade framework had been reached, pending approval by U.S. and Chinese leadership. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Curfew ordered for downtown LA to restrain violent protests, vandalism
|
|
|
A curfew was ordered for parts of downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday night, after police made more than 114 arrests Monday for looting and vandalism at dozens of businesses. The curfew follows four days of protests directed at Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids and a “concerning escalation” of “unlawful and dangerous behavior,” according to police.
The curfew will go into effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. PDT, throughout a one square mile area of downtown Los Angeles, and will continue for the next several days. Residents and those who work in the area are exempt. Fewer than 100,000 people live in the zoned-off area. “If you do not live or work in downtown LA, avoid the area,” said Mayor Karen Bass. “Law enforcement will arrest individuals who break the curfew, and you will be prosecuted.”
Bass blamed the Trump administration for the violence, saying “bad actors are taking advantage of the president’s chaotic escalation.”
The administration deployed 700 Marines and thousands of National Guard troops to help law enforcement. The Marines are currently standing by and awaiting orders outside of Los Angeles.
On Tuesday, a federal judge denied California’s request for a temporary restraining order to stop the Trump administration from using deployed troops to enforce immigration laws in the state. A hearing is set for Thursday.
Police in Los Angeles said looters vandalized 23 businesses in the downtown area during Monday’s protests. They targeted an Apple store, a pharmacy, a jewelry store, a couple of dispensaries and an Adidas store.
LAPD chief Jim McDonnell said the number of arrests have “increased significantly” since the protests began Friday. “Following several consecutive days of growing unrest throughout the city since Saturday, we’ve seen a concerning escalation and unlawful and dangerous behavior,” McDonnell told reporters.
“Let me be clear that this behavior, blocking freeways, city streets and onramps, refusing to comply with lawful dispersal orders and interfering with public safety operations, is dangerous, unlawful and won’t be tolerated,” McDonnell added. (Breitbart News) Read more here.

California governor says ‘democracy is under assault’ by Trump as feds intervene in LA protests

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Calling President Donald Trump a threat to the American way of life, Gov. Gavin Newsom depicted the federal military intervention in Los Angeles as the onset of a much broader effort by Trump to overturn political and cultural norms at the heart of the nation’s democracy.
In a speech Tuesday evening, the potential 2028 Democratic presidential candidate said the arrival of National Guard and Marine troops in the city at Trump’s direction was not simply about quelling protests that followed a series of immigration raids by federal authorities. Instead, he said, it was part of a calculated “war” intended to upend the foundations of society and concentrate power in the White House.
“California may be first, but it clearly will not end here. Other states are next,” a somber Newsom warned, seated before the U.S. and California flags. “Democracy is next. Democracy is under assault before our eyes. This moment we have feared has arrived.”
As head of the heavily Democratic state known as the epicenter of the so-called Trump resistance, Newsom and the Republican president have long been adversaries. But the governor’s speech delivered in prime time argued that Trump was not just a threat to democracy, but was actively working to break down its guardrails that reach back to the nation’s founding.
″He’s declared a war. A war on culture, on history, on science, on knowledge itself,” Newsom said. “He’s delegitimizing news organizations, and he’s assaulting the First Amendment.”
Newsom added that Trump is attacking law firms and the judicial branch — “the foundations of an orderly and civil society. It’s time for all of us to stand up,” Newsom said, urging any protests to be peaceful. “What Donald Trump wants most is your fealty, your silence, to be complicit in this moment. LA police swiftly enforce downtown curfew as protests against Trump’s immigration crackdown continue

Los Angeles police swiftly enforced a downtown curfew Tuesday night, making arrests moments after it took effect, while deploying officers on horseback and using crowd control projectiles to break up a group of hundreds demonstrating against President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown.
Members of the National Guard stood watch behind plastic shields, but did not appear to participate in the arrests.
Hours later, many of the protesters had dispersed, although sporadic confrontations continued that were much smaller than in previous nights. Officials said the curfew was necessary to stop vandalism and theft by agitators looking to cause trouble.
The change moves troops closer to engaging in law enforcement actions like deportations as Trump has promised as part of his administration’s immigration crackdown. The Guard has the authority to temporarily detain people who attack officers but any arrests ultimately would be made by law enforcement.
Trump has activated more than 4,000 National Guard members and 700 Marines over the objections of city and state leaders. They were originally deployed to protect federal buildings.
Demonstrations have spread to other cities nationwide, including Dallas and Austin, Texas, Chicago and New York, where a thousand people rallied and multiple arrests were made.
Trump says he’s open to using Insurrection Act
Trump left open the possibility of invoking the Insurrection Act, which authorizes the president to deploy military forces inside the U.S. to suppress rebellion or domestic violence or to enforce the law in certain situations. It’s one of the most extreme emergency powers available to a U.S. president.
“If there’s an insurrection, I would certainly invoke it. We’ll see,” he said from the Oval Office. (Breitbart) Read more here.

1. IDF recovers bodies of two hostages - Israel National News
IDF and the Shin Bet on Wednesday recovered the bodies of Yair Yaakov, who was murdered by terrorists and his body taken captive to Gaza, and that of another hostage whose name has not yet been cleared for publication, from the Khan Yunis area. 54 hostages remain in Hamas captivity, 20 of them are thought to be alive.
The IDF stated that the operation was conducted by IDF troops of the Southern Command and was made possible by precise intelligence received from the Hostage Task Force, the IDF Intelligence Directorate, and the ISA.
Following an identification procedure carried out by the National Institute of Forensic Medicine in cooperation with the Israel Police, the Hostage Task Force of the IDF’s Manpower Directorate notified the family and the community of Kibbutz Nir Oz.
"The IDF and ISA extend their condolences to the families and will continue to make all efforts possible to bring home all the hostages," the IDF added. (Read more)

2. Coalition scrambles for deal with Haredim ahead of preliminary vote to dissolve Knesset - Times of Israel
Hours ahead of a preliminary vote to dissolve the Knesset, senior coalition officials, including Cabinet Secretary Yossi Fuchs, were engaged in intensive last-ditch talks with Haredi representatives in an effort to reach a compromise on the issue of military exemptions for yeshiva students and prevent the coalition’s ultra-Orthodox factions from supporting the opposition-backed effort to bring down the government.
According to Hebrew media reports, Fuchs and coalition whip Ofir Katz, along with Knesset legal adviser Sagit Afik, were directing their efforts toward finding a compromise draft of an enlistment bill that all sides can support — including the possibility that some sanctions on draft dodgers could be postponed by half a year or more.

3. Hamas attacks Gaza aid group, kills at least five, staff feared taken hostage - JNS
Hamas attacked a bus carrying about two-dozen members of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation team at about 10 p.m. in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, with “at least five fatalities, multiple injuries and fear that some of our team members may have been taken hostage,” the aid group stated.
The “local Palestinians,” who were “working side-by-side with the U.S. GHF team,” were on the way to one of the U.S.-backed aid group’s distribution centers west of Khan Younis, the foundation said.
“We condemn this heinous and deliberate attack in the strongest possible terms,” it stated. “These were aid workers. Humanitarians. Fathers, brothers, sons and friends, who were risking their lives everyday to help others.”
“Our hearts are broken and our thoughts and prayers are with every victim, every family and every person still unaccounted for,” the foundation said. (Read more)

4. Smotrich moves to halt key banking protection for Palestinian economy

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has ordered the cancellation of a crucial financial safeguard that enables the Palestinian banking system to function, following sanctions imposed on him by five Western nations, according to the UK newspaper The Times on Wednesday.
The move could significantly disrupt the Palestinian economy, which relies heavily on its financial ties to Israel.
In a statement on Tuesday, Smotrich instructed the Accountant General of the Finance Ministry, Yali Rothenberg, to cancel the state indemnity granted to Israeli banks that handle transactions with Palestinian banks in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza.

5. Jewish Artist Exposes Plot to Poison, Attack Israelis at Boom Music Festival in Portugal - Algemeiner
A Jewish artist revealed to Israel’s Kan news on Monday plans by far-left activists to attack and poison thousands of Israelis attending this year’s music and intercultural Boom Festival set to take place from July 17-24 in Idanha-a-Nova, Portugal.
A woman from Portugal using the pseudonym Sarah said she was added to a WhatsApp group chat titled “Left wing argument” where the plans were discussed. She was included in the chat because of her work as an artist, but the group did not know that she was Jewish, she believes. Sarah shared with Kan screenshots of messages sent in the group chat that included discussions about torching the tents of Israelis attending the Boom Festival and spiking drugs at the biennial event.
“What started off was just silly ideas then started to become plans. And as you can see, it’s truly sinister,” she told Kan. “[There were] plans to defecate on Israelis tents, urinate in their food, set their tents on fire, put bad substances inside other substances that they may take, plans to upend them to make them feel uncomfortable. Plans to attack.”
“Their idea was that they needed to infiltrate the Boom Festival because a lot of Israelis go there after doing their service in the IDF [Israel Defense Forces],” Sarah added. “And they felt that it was unfair that [Israelis] should be included in the Boom [festival].” (Read more)

1.Zelenskyy demands 'action from America' after latest Russian drone, missile attack - ABC News
At least eight people were killed in Ukraine in another night of intense Russian drone and missile strikes, according to Ukrainian officials.
Ukraine's air force said in a post to Telegram that Russia launched a total of 322 "air attack vehicles" into the country, among them 315 drones and seven missiles. The air force said 277 drones were shot down or otherwise neutralized, as were seven missiles.
"The majority of the damage was sustained by civilian infrastructure," Kyiv's military administration wrote in a post to Telegram. Two people were killed and nine others injured in Odesa, local authorities said. Among the buildings hit in the Black Sea coastal city were a maternity hospital and an emergency medical center, officials said.
One person was killed and four people injured in Kyiv, officials said, in what appears to be one of the largest drone attacks on Ukraine's capital to date. (Read more) |

2. House Passes Bill to Prohibit Illegal Migrants from Voting in D.C. Elections - Breitbart
The House of Representatives voted to pass a bill that would prohibit illegal aliens from being able to vote in elections in Washington, D.C., overturning a 2022 law. In a 266-148 vote, the House passed H.R. 84, which would “prohibit individuals who are not citizens of the United States” from voting in elections in the nation’s capital, and would repeal the Local Resident Voting Right Amendment Act of 2022.
The bill was sponsored by Rep. August Pfluger (R-TX).
“It’s common sense,” Pfluger wrote in a post on X. “Only American citizens should be able to vote in U.S. elections!” In a 235-178 vote, the House of Representatives also voted to pass a bill that would “restore collective bargaining rights and a statute of limitations” for police officers in Washington, D.C. who are “involved in disciplinary cases,” NBC News reported. 3. My Name Is … & I’m A Christian’ Trend Goes Viral On Social Media In Backlash To Pride Month - Million Voices
A post from Christian media influencer Jon Root went viral in early June after men realized how important it is to stand up for Biblical marriage in June. “My name is Jon & I’m a Christian,” Root wrote on social media, along with a photograph of him and his wife. “This month I’ll be celebrating & affirming marriage as it was designed to be by God; between one man and one woman.” Root shared an image of him and his wife under the caption, prompting so many others to do the same.
The post received more than 600 reposts (at the time of writing), and is continuing to trend online as more and more men follow Root’s lead.
“My heart behind my post to get Christians to proudly proclaim their faith in Jesus Christ, while affirming God’s design for marriage, is to combat a month filled with anti-God propaganda. Marriage was created and established and defined by God. We don’t get to redefine it. Biological sex was defined by God and he knit us in our mother’s wounds. We don’t get to decide what biological sex we are. Pride month is something that unfortunately has been accepted by those on the political right, left, and center. It’s important to give people the truth, which the Bible says, will set them free. 5. Hawley investigates left-wing group allegedly funding LA riots with government grants - DML News
Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., launched an investigation into a left-wing group in California that he says may be financially supporting violent protests in Los Angeles.
Hawley wrote a letter to the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA) on Wednesday, saying the organization may have an “alleged role in financially and materially supporting” protests and riots in Los Angeles, which he described as “coordinated.”
“Who is funding the LA riots? This violence isn’t spontaneous. As chairman of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime & Terrorism, I’m launching an investigation to find out,” Hawley announced on social media.
The letter, addressed to CHIRLA Executive Director Angelica Salas, notes that “credible reporting” has indicated that the organization has provided “logistical support and financial resources to individuals engaged in these disruptive actions.” (Read more) |

6. New York School District Distributes State Exam Prep That Accuses Israel of ‘Terrorism’ and Calls Zionism ‘Extreme Nationalism’ - Free Beacon
A New York school district distributed a study guide for a state-issued exam that described Zionism as "extreme nationalism" and accused Israel of "terrorism."The watchdog group StopAntisemitism posted a photo of the study guide, which was meant to prepare 10th graders for New York’s Regents Exam, and called it "straight out of a Hamas playbook." It’s unclear who made the document or why it was given out to students.
Half Hollow Hills Central School District spokesman Chip Parker admitted that a "few teachers" shared the study guide across several social studies classes last week. He also denied that the district was responsible for creating and approving the document.
Parker pointed to a statement from the district’s interim superintendent, Brian Conboy, who said the document "contained language and ideas that were factually incorrect and / or offensive."
"On behalf of the district, I want you all to know that offensive and inaccurate materials such as this do not meet our standards of excellence and are not something we take lightly," his statement continued. "We can and will do better moving forward." (Read more) |

Millions of elderly Americans roll up their sleeves for a flu shot, trusting that public health agencies like the CDC and NIH are steering them right. Yet according to their own data, flu deaths among the elderly continue to rise—even as vaccination rates hit record highs. A recently published 2025 NIH and CDC-supported study confirms a troubling trend: despite increased flu vaccination coverage, the death rate from influenza in people over 65 has not declined. In fact, it continues to climb.
The same agencies urging widespread vaccination now acknowledge, albeit quietly, that the flu shot may not be delivering the protection it promises—especially for the elderly. Musk signals potential softening of feud with simple one emoji response to clip of Trump wishing him well

President Trump's relationship with Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, which appeared to publicly blow up last week as the two feuded in public, took a softer tone on Monday when Musk responded to a clip of the president on X.
"We had a great relationship and I wish him well — very well, actually," Trump said on Monday in a clip that was posted by conservative influencer ALX.
Musk responded to that post with a heart emoji on Monday evening.
Earlier in the day, Fox News Digital reported that the public spat between the two billionaires appeared to be losing steam after Musk seemingly issued support from Trump's handling of the anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles.
"Governor Gavin Newscum and ‘Mayor’ Bass should apologize to the people of Los Angeles for the absolutely horrible job that they’ve done, and this now includes the ongoing L.A. riots," Trump said late Sunday in the post Musk shared. "These are not protesters, they are troublemakers and insurrectionists."
Additionally, Musk also re-posted one of Vice President JD Vance’s posts on X about the riots.
"This moment calls for decisive leadership," Vance said, sharing a screenshot of a post from Trump about how his administration would address the riots. "The president will not tolerate rioting and violence." (Fox News) Read more here.

The discovery of a second underground "hidden city" in Egypt linking the Giza pyramids has the potential to rewrite history.
Scientists who uncovered an underground "hidden city" in Egypt have revealed they have discovered a second city. The team of Italian researchers has said this "proves" the existence of a massive subterranean complex linking the iconic Giza pyramids some 2,000 feet below the surface. If confirmed to be true, this discovery has the potential to rewrite history.
The discovery of a vast underground structure below the Khafre pyramid was first claimed in March, however, it received fierce criticism from mainstream archaeologists who dubbed the findings "false" and lacking scientific basis, as it was claimed it was impossible for ground-penetrating radar to see so far underground. Nevertheless, the team has now reportedly detected similar shafts beneath the Menkaure pyramid, the smallest of the three main pyramids, just a few months later.
According to Filippo Biondi, a radar expert from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland and co-author of the research, the team's data shows a 90% probability that the Menkaure shares the same pillars as Khafre.
The team arrived at the probability "through objective analysis of the tomography data, which, as experimental measurements, strongly indicate that the structures we identified beneath Khafre are also present under Menkaure," reported the Daily Mail. Read More
