Trump Celebrates Pentecost Sunday!

President Donald Trump issued a statement on Pentecost Sunday, honoring “one of the most sacred events of the Christian faith.”
“Today, I join in prayer with Christians joyfully celebrating the descent of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost—one of the most sacred events of the Christian faith,” the presidential message read. “We commemorate the fulfillment of Jesus Christ’s earthly mission and the birth of His holy and living Church.”
The message described Pentecost as the descent of the Holy Spirit empowering the Apostles. The statement quoted Acts 2:38, which reads, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
“Equipped with the courage, clarity, and grace of Almighty God, in the years that followed, the Apostles went on to withstand tremendous danger to bring hearts, minds, and souls to the Christian faith—marking the beginning of the Church, against which even the evils of hell shall not prevail,” Trump added. “More than 2,000 years later, the Holy Spirit continues to descend upon all those who proclaim Christ’s name—enabling them to spread The Gospel.”
Trump noted that his administration “will always defend the right of every American to worship God freely and without fear,” drawing upon the creation of the White House Faith Office and the White House Religious Liberty Commission.
“As we celebrate the miracle of Pentecost and birth of Christ’s Church, we pray that the Holy Spirit fills our Nation and her people with abundant grace—bringing us peace, protection, and God’s presence,” the message declared. (American Faith) Read More Here

Elite CBP Tactical Unit in LA, More Agents on Standby Amid Riots: Source

The deployment of BORTAC, the SWAT-like Border Patrol unit comes amid chaos in America’s second largest city.

LOS ANGELES—Agents with the Border Patrol Tactical Unit (BORTAC) have been deployed to Los Angeles amid anti-deportation riots sweeping the city, with more Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents on standby to deploy if needed, a source with CBP told The Epoch Times on condition of anonymity.
The deployment of the SWAT-like unit comes amid chaos in America’s second-largest city, where riots against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations have entered their fourth consecutive day. The riots have led to personal and property damage across the city, looting, and other acts of violence that have so far resulted in 21 arrests, according to local authorities.
BORTAC agents are the highly trained arm of the Border Patrol, with a focus on counterterrorism, high-risk warrant service, anti-narcotics operations, and similarly dangerous or complex CBP enforcement activities.
Agents with the specialized unit were deployed domestically to Los Angeles in 1992 to quell the riots that followed the acquittal of the officers involved in the beating of Rodney King. They are also often deployed in the aftermath of natural disasters, to provide security at high-profile events like the Super Bowl, and for other domestic and international law enforcement.
Another source, Manny Bayon—president of the National Border Patrol Council union based in San Diego—confirmed to The Epoch Times that more Border Patrol reinforcements were dispatched to Los Angeles from Yuma, Arizona, El Centro, California, and San Diego.
“ICE was doing the job. They requested reinforcements, so obviously, Border Patrol is going to send people up there,” he said, noting that several other federal units have also gotten involved. (The Epoch Times) Read more here

Newsom Formally Requests Removal of National Guard Troops, Dares Homan to Arrest Him
|

The National Guard was deployed on Sunday amid days of riots and demonstrations over immigration enforcement measures.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom formally requested that the Trump administration pull National Guard troops out of Los Angeles, said he will file a lawsuit, and dared President Donald Trump’s border czar to arrest him.
In a June 8 letter addressed to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Newsom said the National Guard deployment is unlawful and violates his state’s sovereignty. He also said the move should have been coordinated through his office, saying that local police have the situation under control.
“Trump is putting fuel on this fire,” Newsom wrote on social media platform X. “Commandeering a state’s National Guard without consulting the Governor of that state is illegal and immoral.”
On June 8, Newsom also called on the Trump administration’s border czar, Tom Homan, to arrest him in the midst of riots and protests in Los Angeles after Homan suggested that “anybody” could face charges for knowingly harboring an illegal immigrant.
“I’ll say it about anybody,” Homan said broadly in an interview with NBC News after protests and riots erupted across the city over the weekend, responding to a question about whether Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and Newsom are at risk of being arrested. “You cross that line, it’s a felony to knowingly harbor and conceal an illegal alien. It’s a felony to impede law enforcement doing their job.”
Homan has previously warned that local officials could face federal charges if they attempt to impede Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from detaining illegal immigrants. At least two judges—one in Minneapolis and one in New Mexico—have been arrested on federal charges in response to allegations that they harbored or concealed illegal aliens.

Judge Partially Blocks Trump’s Anti-DEI and Transgender Executive Orders

Key parts of the president’s executive orders related to unwinding DEI and opposing gender ideology have been paused on constitutional grounds.
A federal judge in California has halted major provisions of President Donald Trump’s executive orders targeting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and transgender-related programming, siding with LGBT advocacy groups and other nonprofits that argued the policies unlawfully restrict constitutional rights.
In a June 9 ruling, U.S. District Judge Jon Tigar issued a preliminary injunction barring the Trump administration from enforcing three key elements of the orders: the so-called equity termination provision, the gender termination provision, and the gender promotion provision. These provisions directed federal agencies to cut off funding to programs that support DEI initiatives or promote gender ideology.
Tigar found that the challenged provisions likely violate the First and Fifth Amendments by engaging in viewpoint discrimination and targeting transgender individuals for disfavored treatment. He also held that defunding programs authorized by Congress may infringe on the constitutional separation of powers between the executive and legislative branches.
“These three funding provisions reflect an effort to censor constitutionally protected speech and services promoting DEI and recognizing the existence of transgender individuals,” Tigar wrote. “These provisions seek to strip funding from programs that serve historically disenfranchised populations in direct contravention of several statutes under which Plaintiffs receive funding.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

1. Israeli Navy strikes Houthis in Yemen, targets key port - JNS
Israel attacked the Houthi-controlled port of Hudaydah in Yemen on Tuesday, reportedly marking the first time that naval forces were used in an operation against the Iranian-backed terror group instead of the air force.
Israeli Navy missile ships struck “terror targets” at the port following “the aggression of the Houthi terrorist regime” against the Jewish state and its citizens, including the launching of ballistic missiles and drones, according to the Israel Defense Forces.
“The strikes were carried out to stop the use of the port for military purposes. The port has been struck by the IDF over the past year and continues to be used for terrorist purposes,” the military said. (Read more)

2. Responding to UK-led sanctions, Smotrich cancels waiver allowing Israel-PA bank ties - Times of Israel
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has directed his office to cancel a critical agreement for sustaining the Palestinian economy in retaliation for the decision by five Western countries to sanction him and fellow far-right minister Itamar Ben Gvir.
Smotrich’s office says in a statement that he directed the Finance Ministry’s accountant-general, Yali Rotenberg, to waive the indemnity that Israeli banks have been given to correspond with Palestinian banks.
Smotrich earlier in the day reportedly pledged to collapse the PA in response to the sanctions, even though Ramallah was not known to have any involvement in the joint decision by the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Norway. (Read more)

Britain will join Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and others in sanctioning National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, The Times reported Tuesday.
British Foreign Secretary David Lammy previously indicated that the UK would sanction the two over comments he described as “monstrous.”
The sanctions would bar both Smotrich and Ben-Gvir from entering the UK, as well as ban any UK-based financial institutions from dealing with them. (Read more)

The haredim currently intend to vote for the dissolution of the Knesset, which will lead to new elections, due to the refusal of some coalition members, led by Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Chairman Yuli Edelstein, to pass a bill exempting haredim from being conscripted into the IDF.
Netanyahu summoned Edelstein for a meeting to try to convince him to agree to a compromise on issues that the haredi parties see as a red line. (Read more)

5. Huckabee denies reports he acted to prevent collapse of Netanyahu government

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee denied on Tuesday a report that he had attempted to convince ultra-Orthodox (haredi) leaders to back down from their threat to topple the government.
According to the report by Channel 13 on Monday evening, Huckabee had spoken to political and spiritual haredi leaders, including leading Rabbi Moshe Hillel Hirsch and Jerusalem and Tradition Minister Meir Porush, and argued that if the government fell, the US would “find it difficult” to back Israel if it chose to move against Iran.
Huckabee did not deny the report at first, stating in response to a query on Tuesday morning, “The Ambassador meets with a wide range of Israeli society. The contents of his meetings are private.” (Read more)

The contribution "would be placed in an index fund tied to the overall stock market and managed by the child's legal guardians. 4. Scientists concluded 3 months after COVID began it was 'manufactured' - WND
Scientists working with the Defense Intelligence Agency concluded only three months after the COVID-19 pandemic began that it likely was genetically manufactured and escaped a Chinese lab, according to a report from Just the News.
That's in direct conflict with the often-repeated claims from Anthony Fauci, then a public health official and presidential adviser on COVID, that it had evolved in nature.
The report explained the bombshell revelation now is at the heart of investigations into a possible U.S. intelligence cover-up.

5. U.S. Taxpayers Must Fund Gender Transitions in Federal Prisons, per Judge- The Washington Stand
Federal judges have now spent at least four months imposing restrictions on President Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” agenda, blocking the duly-elected executive from following through on his campaign promises, despite his best efforts.
While much attention has centered on the numerous universal injunctions and temporary restraining orders (TROs) halting deportations and immigration reform, district court judges have also taken aim at the president’s actions to curtail the transgender agenda. Judges have restricted the president’s orders on protecting children from harmful gender transition procedures, scrubbing gender ideology propaganda from federal health agencies, and keeping transgender-identifying biological men from being incarcerated in women’s prisons.
On Tuesday, yet another district court judge targeted the Trump administration’s efforts to uphold biological reality, ordering the administration to continue using taxpayer dollars to fund prisoners’ gender transition procedures. Judge Royce Lamberth of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, who was appointed by Ronald Reagan, issued a preliminary injunction Tuesday demanding that the U.S. Bureau of Prisons (BOP) “restore and maintain access to” gender transition procedures — especially hormone drugs — for inmates in federal prisons who identify as transgender and were previously undergoing gender transition procedures. 6. Trump Admin Cracks Down On Texas Over In-State Tuition For Illegals- Daily Caller
The Department of Justice (DOJ) moved Wednesday to block the enforcement of Texas law granting in-state tuition rates to illegal immigrants.
The DOJ filed suit against the state of Texas to stop the enforcement of state law requiring colleges and universities to provide in-state tuition rates to illegal immigrants, as the Trump administration intensifies its scrutiny of jurisdictions violating federal immigration laws. The “Dream Act” passed in 2001, allows those who are not lawfully present in the country to qualify for reduced tuition at public state colleges, which the DOJ argues is discriminatory to U.S. citizens from other states who are required to pay higher tuition rates to attend certain schools in Texas.
“That is squarely prohibited and preempted by federal law, which expressly provides that ‘an alien who is not lawfully present in the United States shall not be eligible on the basis of residence within a State … for any postsecondary education benefit unless a citizen or national of the United States is eligible for such a benefit … without regard to whether the citizen or national is such a resident,” the complaint reads. There’s a troubling pattern unfolding before our eyes—one that the mainstream media would rather ignore, and the political left pretends doesn’t exist. While Democrats and their allies repeatedly claim the moral high ground, accusing conservatives of promoting hate and extremism, they themselves are quietly (and sometimes boldly) normalizing violence through rhetoric, associations, and a double standard that turns criminals into martyrs—so long as their politics align. Take the recent Washington, D.C. shooting where two Israeli embassy staffers were gunned down. The suspect, Elias Rodriguez, was connected to radical far-left groups. His father was invited by Democrats as a special guest to a joint session of Congress.
In a disturbing twist, left-wing TikTok personalities openly praised the attack, hailing Rodriguez as a “resistance fighter.” That’s not fringe commentary—it’s the social media echo chamber of the progressive movement celebrating cold-blooded murder. And these aren’t isolated voices. They’re rewarded with views, likes, and shares. Hate has become a currency of influence. In the case of the Jewish-Christian couple murdered at the Jewish museum, the suspect’s father was US Rep. Jesús “Chuy” García’s (D-IL) guest at Trump’s March speech to Congress—another example of how radicals with deadly ideologies are linked by more than coincidence to the left’s political machinery. Graffiti: Rioters defaced the Metropolitan Detention Center and federal buildings with “F— ICE,” “F— LAPD,” “F— Trump,” “Death to America,” “F— Jews,” “Kill the Rich,” “Kill Cops,” and “Kill ICE Agents,” showcasing anti-American, antisemitic, and violent rhetoric.
Signs and Chants: Protesters carried signs reading “ICE Out of LA!” and “No Human Being is Illegal” while chanting, “Set them free, let them stay!” “No Justice, No Peace. No ICE or Police,” and “Donald Trump, Let’s Be Clear: Immigrants Are Welcome Here.” These messages, led by PSL and CHIRLA, aimed to disrupt ICE operations and vilify federal agents.

The Radical Agenda
These groups, many with socialist or communist ties, exploit ICE’s mission to remove serious criminals to push an anti-Trump, anti-American narrative. CHIRLA’s government funding—$34 million in grants, including from California—raises questions about taxpayer money fueling riots.
Antisemitic graffiti like “F— Jews” and pro-Palestinian chants by groups like the US Campaign for Palestinian Rights reveal a broader hateful agenda.
When protests cease to be peaceful and jeopardize law enforcement and community safety, seeking to supplant our Constitutional Republic with democratic socialism through violent, riotous means, they should be rounded up and deported if illegal aliens or otherwise jailed.

DOJ identifies suspect accused of assaulting federal officer, as Trump vows tough response

Attorney General Pam Bondi said Monday that the suspect accused of assaulting a federal officer during the anti-ICE demonstrations in Los Angeles has been identified.
U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli identified Elpidio Reyna as the suspect who was captured on video allegedly throwing rocks at federal officers in Paramount, California.
The FBI initially asked for the public’s help by offering a $50,000 cash reward for information leading to the man’s arrest. He was accused of injuring a federal officer after throwing rocks at law enforcement vehicles, according to the FBI.
"The FBI has identified him," Bondi said. "That guy has just been identified, and they are doing a search warrant on his house, as we speak. And he has been identified…his name is [Reyna]. He is going to be on the Most Wanted list.
"He has been identified by the great police work by the FBI," she continued. "So, you can run, you can’t hide. We are coming after you federally. If you assault a police officer, if you rob a store, if you loot, if you spit on police officers, we’re coming after you."
Bondi told Hannity that federal authorities have the ability to go after looters and those throwing Molotov cocktails and committing other crimes under the Hobbs Act.
Those who loot a business in California, Bondi said, will face a maximum of 20 years in prison. Those who spit on federal law enforcement officers will also serve time. (Fox News)

Anti-ICE Protests Spread Coast to Coast

Anti-immigration enforcement protests that begun in Los Angeles on Friday have spread to more U.S. cities, including San Francisco, New York, Dallas, and Austin, Texas.
Monday evening marked the fourth straight night of protesting and rioting against the Trump administration’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations in Los Angeles, and the first night of similar protests in Dallas.
Several dozen protesters gathered with flags and signs in the Texas city before the protests grew contentious and police declared the protests an “unlawful assembly,” according to Fox 4 News.
About 200 miles south, protesters gathered outside the Texas State Capitol in Austin to stand in “solidarity” with LA protesters, according to a flyer promoting the gathering on the Party for Socialism and Liberation Austin, Texas, Instagram account.
“ICE out of our cities! Stop the deportations,” the flyer reads in Spanish.
The initial planned march was peaceful, but the protest began to escalate later in the evening and police deployed tear gas to disperse the crowd. A federal building was vandalized during the rioting.
“Between the Austin Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety, more than a dozen protesters were arrested in Austin,” Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, a Republican, wrote on X early Tuesday morning. “Peaceful protesting is legal. But once you cross the line, you will be arrested.” (The Daily Signal) Read more here.

RFK Jr. Removes All Members of CDC Vaccine Advisory Panel

All members of the committee that advises the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are being replaced, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) said on June 9. The 17 members of the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices (ACIP) have been removed under the direction of Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., HHS, the CDC’s parent agency, said in a statement.
All of the members were appointed during the Biden administration, and 11 of them were set to serve on the committee until 2027 or 2028. HHS alleged that the appointments were made in an effort to “lock in public health ideology and limit the incoming administration’s ability to take the proper actions to restore public trust in vaccines.”
“A clean sweep is necessary to reestablish public confidence in vaccine science,” Kennedy said in a statement.
A copy of a termination notice viewed by The Epoch Times said that per a June 9 directive from Kennedy, “this email serves as formal notice of your immediate termination as a member of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices.” It added, “We appreciate your prior service and commitment.”
He said the new members, who have not been identified, “will prioritize public health and evidence-based medicine” and that the panel “will no longer function as a rubber stamp for industry profit-taking agendas.” (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Rare medieval Bible returns to Israel for public exhibit after centuries-long journey

Islamic and Christian artistic influences
Israeli officials recently put a unique 14th-century Bible on display just a year after it was bought for a seven-figure sum.
The National Library of Israel announced its display of the Shem Tov Bible in a recent press release. The library began exhibiting the centuries-old book on loan from its owner on May 8.
The Jewish book, which has been called a "monumental work of biblical, artistic, Masoretic and kabbalistic scholarship," dates back to medieval Spain. It was sold at a Sotheby's auction for $6.9 million in 2024, a representative confirmed to Fox News Digital.
The Bible was created by a Kabbalist rabbi named Shem Tov ben Abraham Ibn Gaon, who completed it in 1312 in Spain. After finishing the book, he took it on a two-year-long journey to modern-day Israel.
He studied Judaism for the rest of his life until his death in 1330. The Bible soon began changing hands, but it remained in the Middle East before being moved to North Africa in the 17th century. (Fox News) Read More
