Christian Group WINS Big After School District Allegedly Targeted Bible Program
|
|
|
The CEO of a Christian organization that teaches the Bible to kids during the public school day is celebrating a recent legal victory against a district he believes was unfairly restricting his group’s efforts.
As CBN News recently reported, a federal judge has stepped in to temporarily halt seemingly blatant anti-Christian discrimination waged against Lifewise Academy at the hands of Everett Public Schools, a public district in Washington state.
Joe Penton, who heads Lifewise, told CBN about his organization’s aim and why he believes the district began purportedly targeting its activities.
“We provide Bible education for public school students during school hours,” Penton said. “We take kids under release time — religious instruction laws and the Supreme Court ruling — we take kids off school property during the school day, teach them a Bible lesson, and bring them back to school.”
Lifewise has quickly spread throughout the US, with one program emerging a few years ago in Everett, Washington — a chapter Penton said has been “going incredibly well.”
“We started seeing policies come down that were specifically targeting us and discriminating against our program,” Penton said, offering up some examples. “The community fairs where every organization that serves students would come together to kind of sign kids up and promote what they do to students, all of a sudden, we were not allowed to be there anymore.”
... “They passed a policy that, if children brought anything back from Lifewise, whether it be a worksheet or whether it be a Bible, because that’s what we study at LifeWise, [it] had to come back in sealed envelopes so that other kids couldn’t see them,” he said. “And so if a child wanted to read their Lifewise Bible during study hall or during a free reading time, they wouldn’t be allowed to do so. They could read ‘Harry Potter,’ but they wouldn’t be able to read the Bible.”
Ultimately, Lifewise felt these policies were “transparently discriminatory” and “transparently unconstitutional,” so a family involved in the program took legal action against Everett Public Schools. The lawsuit came after Penton said he attempted to reason with officials — but to no avail. (Faithwire) Read the entire report by going here.

|
Father God, these policies, imposed by the Everett Public Schools in the State of Washington, are clearly discriminatory against the Lifewise program. We thank You that this case has now reached the court, and that a verdict is now pending. We pray for Your Hand of favor and blessing would rest upon the Lifewise staff, and we agree with their statement that, every time a school district challenges their program, it makes the news and many other parents then learn about the availability of the Lifewise program for their children.
"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28)

FBI disrupts alleged explosive-drone plot targeting White House UFC event, officials say
|
|
The FBI and its law enforcement partners disrupted an alleged plot targeting this weekend’s UFC Freedom 250 event in Washington, D.C., officials told Fox News Digital.
Five people were in custody as of Monday, and investigators identified 23 people as part of a potential network of plotters. The alleged plan involved using explosive-laden drones to hit buildings near the event, force a mass evacuation and steer crowds toward a pre-staged sniper team, officials said.
A "second wave" was then allegedly planned to storm the White House gate, according to officials.
The FBI first learned of the threat on June 10 and worked with partners to secure probable cause for an arrest in Cincinnati, where one suspect was taken into custody. Court documents identified the suspect as 19-year-old Tycen Proper.
Two others, identified as Bryan Omar Roa and Michael Alan Thomas, were arrested in California for alleged involvement in the plot. Both men were charged with conspiracy to commit murder. They appeared in court on Monday in Riverside.
Other suspects were arrested in Missouri and Nebraska. Multiple sources told Fox News that those in custody are American citizens, and a foreign nexus was not involved. (Fox News) Read more

Holy King, once again we give You thanks and praise for revealing the details of this horrible evil event planned by people who need to find Jesus in prison. Mighty God, we have such a problem in our nation due to people with microphones in power positions who are filled with such hate that they seek to activate death threats on a daily basis. We pray for Your guidance in knowing how to overcome this wickedness and change the course of our national heart condition, in Jesus's name. We ask You to continue intervening on and stopping the unspeakable events that are publicly discussed by some segments of our nation, in Jesus's name.
"'You should not have stood at the crossroads To cut off those among them who escaped; Nor should you have delivered up those among them who remained in the day of distress. For the day of the Lord upon all the nations is near; As you have done, it shall be done to you; Your reprisal shall return upon your own head.'" (Obadiah 14-15)

Trump at G7:
Iran Deal Will Bring ‘A Lot of Success to the World’;
Demining Process Underway, Strait of Hormuz to Fully Open Friday
|
|
|
President Donald Trump told reporters on Monday that the Iran deal, which ensures Iran will not have a nuclear weapon, will bring “a lot of success to the world,” and that the Strait of Hormuz will be fully reopened on Friday as the demining process is underway.
Trump’s comments came during a bilateral meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron at the G7 here in Evian.
“The deal’s all signed. And the Strait is already partially opened, as you know they’re doing a little hunting for a couple of mines that they’ve already found, but it’s essentially ships are starting to go out now; on Friday it will be completely opened,” Trump said. (Breitbart) Read more here.

Holy One, we pray over this entire Iran matter and ask You to be the Author and Finisher of every act that takes place. We do not know what this should look like, but we know we have asked You to lead our President and we trust You. We pray for President Trump to follow Your direction every step of the way and we ask that anyone speaking against Your will will be promptly removed and replaced by a trustworthy counselor who hears the word of YHWH.
"Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! 'For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has become His counselor?'" (Romans 11:33-34)

Vance reveals Trump lesson guiding Iran deal strategy as Tehran faces 60-day deadline
|
|
Vice President JD Vance said Tehran is effectively entering a probationary period under the Trump administration's agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, with Iran required to demonstrate through its actions — not its promises — that it has abandoned nuclear weapons development and support for terrorism.
"The thing I've learned from the President of the United States is whether friend or foe, you shouldn't trust anybody, you should trust people's actions," Vance told Fox News Digital in a sit-down interview. "That's why the way this agreement is built is that if they act in the right way, if they behave in the way, they get a lot of benefits."
The agreement would test whether Iran is willing to trade decades of isolation for economic relief and renewed ties with the West. While Tehran could gain access to sanctions relief and foreign investment, administration officials say those benefits will depend on whether Iran can prove it has abandoned its nuclear ambitions and support for terrorist organizations during a 60-day negotiating period.
"The Iranians have two pathways. If they behave like a normal country, if they don't try to build nukes, if they try to fund terrorism, then the United States is going to change our relationship with Iran. We're going to lift some sanctions. We're going to welcome them back into the international community," Vance said. (Fox News) Read more

Father, we put Iran / Persia into Your hands and ask that You would drive the hateful schemes into the ground, in Jesus's name. We pray that the US and Israel are fully empowered to remove all nuclear dust, centrifuges and every other element required to create the wicked bombs, in Jesus's name and may this land become a light unto the Middle East because of Your presence and holiness. Amen.
"'The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream; And he who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat?' says the Lord, 'Is not My word like a fire?' says the Lord, 'And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?'" (Jeremiah 23:28-29)

Iranian Dissident Group Welcomes Steps to End War, Says Peace Is ‘Poison’ to Regime Survival
|
|
|
Maryam Rajavi, president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), on Monday welcomed the emerging U.S.-Iran understanding aimed at ending hostilities while asserting that peace poses a greater threat to the survival of the Islamic Republic than military confrontation.
Rajavi said the NCRI supports efforts to end the conflict and alleviate the suffering of the Iranian people.
“The Iranian Resistance, which for nearly five decades has sought freedom and peace, and has, through 133 revelations in the past 35 years, acted as the most important barrier in preventing the ruling theocracy from acquiring the bomb, welcomes any understanding to end the war and the suffering of the Iranian people,” Rajavi said in a statement.
“In Iran, no one except the remnants of the mullahs and the Shah has wanted or wants war,” she added.
Rajavi said the regime’s pursuit of nuclear weapons, support for terrorist proxies, and efforts to destabilize the Middle East are central pillars of its strategy for preserving clerical rule. (Breitbart) Read more

We thank You Most High King for allowing the voice of the Lord to be heard and those who stand opposed to the cruel tyranny within Iran and the proxies to be strong and multiplying, in Jesus's name. May the people of this nation who have turned to You rise up with the voice of Godly authority and overthrow the tyrants in a day, in Your name, O King. We pray for all those who are working for freedom for this nation to come together in one accord and develop a strategy to bring the leadership and enforcers to their knees before a Holy God in repentance and salvation, in Jesus's name.
"And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the Lord for it; for in its peace you will have peace." (Jeremiah 29:7)

1. 'Sold their brothers': Israeli right-wing figures brand Witkoff, Kushner as 'losers' over Iran deal - Jerusalem Post
Israeli media figures and commentators turned sharply against Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff this week, accusing two of US President Donald Trump’s closest Middle East envoys of helping push an Iran deal that many in Israel view as dangerous and incomplete.
The criticism came amid mounting Israeli concern over the emerging US-Iran memorandum of understanding, which critics say prioritizes regional calm and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz while leaving Iran’s nuclear program, missile program, and support for regional proxies for later negotiations.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday that Israel would continue to act to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, regardless of the agreement. Israeli officials also told Ynet that Netanyahu had made clear to Trump that Israel did not view itself as bound by the Lebanon clause in the agreement and would keep operating against Hezbollah threats.(Read more)

- Israel National News
Iran escalated its threats against Israel this evening (Tuesday), accusing it of violating the ceasefire in southern Lebanon “84 times over the past two days."
The Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters, the operational headquarters of Iran's military forces, issued a statement claiming that Israel has violated the ceasefire in southern Lebanon dozens of times since the American announcement declaring the end of the war.

3. Israeli Navy on High Alert for Hamas Attacks From Sea as Terror Group Rebuilds Maritime Capabilities - Algemeiner
As Israeli officials warn that Hamas is quietly rebuilding its military infrastructure during the Gaza ceasefire, the Israeli Navy is intensifying efforts along the Mediterranean coast to prevent a potential resurgence of the Palestinian terrorist group’s maritime threat and thwart future infiltration attempts.
While much of the conflict has unfolded on land and in the air, Israeli naval forces have spent nearly 1,000 consecutive days patrolling Gaza’s coastline, seeking to cut off weapons smuggling routes from Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula and combat maritime infiltration into the territory.
Israeli officials are now closely monitoring what they describe as Hamas’ efforts to restore its naval capabilities, warning that the Islamist group is rebuilding coastal surveillance networks and seeking to enhance its ability to monitor Israeli naval activity in the eastern Mediterranean. 4. Hamas plot to massacre Jews in Europe on Oct. 7 anniversary foiled
- Israel Hayom
About a week before the planned attack, on October 1, 2025, three suspects were arrested in Berlin on charges of plotting an attack against Jewish and Israeli institutions, as well as against Israeli and Jewish civilians. At a press conference held Monday in the city of Karlsruhe, Federal Prosecutor General Jens Rommel said he suspected Hamas had been fully prepared to carry out a concrete terrorist attack, and confirmed that "a pre-recorded video claiming responsibility was seized from one of the suspects."
German law enforcement authorities charged the three suspects with involvement in transporting and storing weapons and ammunition for Hamas since at least the summer of 2025. One is a 36-year-old German citizen of Lebanese origin, the second is a Lebanon-born man aged 43, and the third is a 44-year-old German citizen of Syrian origin. In their possession, investigators found a Glock pistol, an AK-47 assault rifle, and several hundred rounds of ammunition. Investigators believe the weapons were intended for attacks against Israeli or Jewish institutions in Germany and other European countries. All three had been under surveillance by German authorities and security services, who decided to act after concluding the attack could be carried out imminently.
In the months since the three terrorists were arrested, additional suspects believed to be part of the terror network that attempted to carry out the attacks in Europe have been detained. Nine suspects in total have been arrested in the case to date. About two weeks ago, an additional suspect was arrested in Denmark, and suspects had previously been arrested in Britain and Cyprus as well. According to the German Federal Prosecutor's Office, one of the suspects arrested in London received weapons that he transported and stored in a rented warehouse in Vienna. Austrian intelligence services uncovered a cache there of five pistols and ten magazines. (Read more)

5. At G7, Egypt’s Sissi urges Israel to abandon plans to expand control of Gaza
- Times of Israel
Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi on Tuesday urged Israel to abandon its plan to take control of 70 percent of Gaza, while witnesses in the Strip said the Israel Defense Forces had pushed forward the Yellow Line that divided the enclave into areas controlled by Hamas and Israel.
Last month, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he had ordered the IDF to take control of more territory in the Gaza Strip, flouting the terms of a fragile ceasefire that took effect in October.
Under the deal, Israel is supposed to remain in control of just over 50% of the Strip, but Netanyahu said that troops today hold around 60% of the enclave, and are pushing toward 70%. (Read more)

2. Ben Carson Sounds the Alarm on Marxists in America’s Schools - Daily Signal
Dr. Ben Carson has long seen God’s hand in his own life story—from overcoming poverty in Detroit to becoming one of the world’s most celebrated neurosurgeons, then serving as President Donald Trump’s first housing secretary.
Carson sat down with the Daily Signal at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday for the premiere of “Star Spangled Adventures: The Movie,” a feature-length animated film produced through his Little Patriots program.
The film takes children on a journey through 250 years of American history—from the Revolutionary War to the 20th century—guided by Liberty the Eagle and featuring an all-star cast of voice actors, including Pat Boone, John Schneider, Kevin Sorbo, and Rich Little. All of the Little Patriots content is available free of charge at littlepatriotslearning.com.
Speaking with the Daily Signal, Carson opened up about the Marxist influence he sees creeping into public schools, the providential moments in American history that he believes are being deliberately erased from textbooks, and why he thinks equipping young people with the truth about their nation’s founding is the most important fight of our time. Thank You Mighty King for being a part of Dr. Carson's life story and empowering him to see matters that are so important to our culture and for the wisdom to address them creatively. We bless his work in creating this story that exposes the dark and ungodly nature of Marxism with divine revelation and authority. May there be so many people viewing it that the teacher's unions are driven to stop being servants of this wicked ideology, in Jesus's name.
"But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses." (1 Timothy 6:11-12)

3. New Florida law gives local governments authority over data center development - Just the News
Florida’s local governments must decide how to handle data center development. Lakeland may choose to hit the pause button.
The Lakeland City Commission met Monday where they discussed a 12-month moratorium on hyperscale data centers. Currently, there’s a proposal for a 600,000 square foot data center that would sit on 60 acres in Polk County.
This year, Gov. Ron DeSantis signed into law Senate Bill 484, which deemed local governments had the power to decide development regulations for data centers.
Lakeland wouldn’t be the first to hit pause on data center development. Earlier this month, Nassau County approved a 12-month moratorium on the acceptance, review, or approval of applications for development permits related to data centers. They said the moratorium would give the county time to amend its Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Code. (Read more here)

Father God, we thank You for divine strategies and a multitude of strong voices speaking out against these data centers. It is not a secret that they are intended to be the power sources behind AI and distributed by the 5G towers, which are not needed for lightning fast cell or internet service. We also have no doubt that the data center plot is meant to be a convenient tracking and storage center for all information on every free citizen of the United States. We pray for citizens and governments to stand against these centers which will have a massive blighting footprint on our landscapes while also destroying our water quality with heat, forever chemicals and demanding much of our energy resources. We know that they have been told to provide their own power generation systems, but we also know they are not doing so and will not abide, so we pray for Your intervention Abba, in order to stop this overreach, in Jesus's name.
"This they shall have for their pride, Because they have reproached and made arrogant threats Against the people of the Lord of hosts, The Lord will be awesome to them, For He will reduce to nothing all the gods of the earth; People shall worship Him, Each one from his place, Indeed all the shores of the nations." 4. Mamdani's New York City Had a Riot and Barely Anyone Noticed - Free Beacon
New York City reacted to a championship victory by its Knicks basketball team with an orgy of violence and property damage, torching school buses, shattering a police-vehicle windshield, and attacking police officers.
The city’s "there is only one solution, intifada revolution" mayor, socialist Zohran Mamdani, offered a generalized, "it is, frankly, unacceptable when we see violence, whether it's directed at those around them or at police officers," while insisting, "there were a select few who acted in a way that does not represent who we are as a city."
"The vast, vast, vast majority of people who came out to celebrate did so peacefully," New York’s governor, Kathy Hochul, a Democrat, insisted, which is technically true but also precisely the kind of spin we saw on display from so many in 2020 to deflect attention from the criminality they could see with their own eyes.
The New York Times published an article reporting, "A teenager was shot, school buses were set on fire and four people were slashed or stabbed as tens of thousands of people swarmed the area around Madison Square Garden in a chaotic all-night celebration of the Knicks’ championship win late Saturday, according to the police and video footage. In all, 15 people were arrested, including a 28-year-old man from Texas who was charged with assault for punching a police officer, officials said. Another 48 people were taken into police custody and issued summonses. … In all, one school bus was engulfed in flames and four others were burned or broken, the police said." (Read more here)

Holy One, this is revolting. What is happening to our young people in this land? Are we dealing with demonic possession or absolute lawlessness? We pray Father, for an overwhelming halt to this wanton "stupidocrisy", in Jesus's name. We pray for repentance to take place alongside fines and even arrests, perhaps including parents because their children are doing such wrong-headed things, like burning a school bus! Holy One, please release new and powerful avenues for bringing righteousness, salvation and honor into the lives of young people, in Your name.
"'The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.'" (Matthew 13:41-42)

5. Andrew Giuliani: Banned Somali Ref Talked to 'Bad People' - Newsmax
The World Cup referee who was denied entry into the United States "was talking to some very bad people," said Andrew Giuliani, chief of the White House task force for soccer's biggest tournament.
Omar Artan was going to be the first referee from Somalia to officiate at a World Cup. But he was denied entry at Miami International Airport on Saturday over "vetting concerns," U.S. Customs and Border Protection said in a statement without providing details.
Artan was issued a visa to travel to the U.S. last week, according to the Somali Embassy in Kenya, which processed it.
"Very simply, the president has created many pathways for players, coaches, fans to be able to come in the country. Look, every single player has received access to the United States that's applied, every coach that's received access," Giuliani, the son of former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, told CBS News on Sunday.
"There will be a few officials. … In the case of the referee there, he was talking to some very bad people right as he was coming to the United States, and there's some classified information we can't discuss now," he said. "At some point, that may be released, but what I can tell you is it was the right decision by CBP. It was the right decision by the secretary of homeland security, and I stand by that decision." We take a break from the ongoing tiebreakers that have punctuated the early matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup to salute, well, us. We're a hit!
No, this isn't a statement about the promising and hopefully ascending United States team.
This is about us as in the United States of America.
We're one of three countries — along with Canada and Mexico — that are hosting the month-long tournament. And we're capturing the imagination of much of the world.
We know this because the fans visiting from all over the planet are telling us we're doing good. We're putting on a good show. We've rolled out the welcome mat and treated them to a good time. (Read more)

Father, thank you for this encouraging report to hear with fun videos to watch. We have had our lives and nation debased and shamed for decades now, so it's a blessing and even honor to roll out the welcome mat and open our arms to visitors from around the world. We pray that other countries will see and sense the presence of God in our nation as we do our best to love others as we love ourselves. We pray for the Good News message to touch hearts from around the world, in Jesus's name.
"Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Iran and the 60-day window to Prophecy
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, June 16, 2026
President Trump deserves credit for getting the United States and Iran to a point where a framework agreement is on the table. Yet before anyone begins celebrating a lasting peace, it is important to understand exactly what has been achieved. This is not a final peace treaty. It is a memorandum of understanding that creates a 60-day window to negotiate a permanent agreement. The framework reportedly includes ending hostilities, reopening the Strait of Hormuz, addressing Iran's nuclear activities, and discussions involving sanctions relief and access to frozen Iranian assets. The real test begins now, not on signing day. It’s like a 60-day window into viewing where we stand with progression of the Ezekiel 38 prophecy.
Several questions remain unanswered. Reports indicate that negotiations over Iran's nuclear program, enriched uranium stockpiles, sanctions relief, and broader regional security issues have been pushed into the next 60 days. Those are not minor details. They are the heart of the matter. Iran's history over the past five decades has been one of strategic patience, indirect warfare, and negotiation from positions designed to preserve leverage. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps remains intact. Iran's network of regional proxies, including Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis, has not disappeared. A temporary ceasefire may reduce immediate violence, but it does not automatically remove the infrastructure that has fueled instability and terror throughout the region for decades.

If Antifa Isn’t an Organization, How Is Its Violence So Organized?
|
|
|
|
. . . the SPLC seems to maintain a double standard for extremism. When it comes to left-wing groups, it turns a blind eye to real and frequent acts of violence, denying that any such groups exist even when they are obviously acting as a group. What would it take for the SPLC to recognize Antifa cells as groups — 501(c)3 status?
Extremism doesn’t work that way, and the SPLC knows that. Indeed, many (perhaps all) of the KKK chapters, neo-Nazi groups, and white nationalist groups it monitors lack official, incorporated status. Such organizations survive by staying off the grid, and they would usually fail to obtain official status even if they requested it. Left-wing extremists use the same sort of tactics because they have the same sort of violent objectives.
The clearest example of “anti-fascist” organization came last year in Texas, when a group of agitators in identical “dark clothing with head and face coverings that concealed their identities” set up an ambush at the Prairieland ICE Detention Center on July 4, 2025. The group “brought eleven firearms, body armor, and eleven military-grade first aid kits with tourniquets and other items for gunshot wounds to the scene of the attack,” according to a DOJ press release.
The group’s strategy was complex. They began with shooting fireworks and vandalizing property to induce a police response. They then opened fire on responding officers with their rifles, shooting one officer in the neck and forcing others to take cover. On March 13, 2026, nine participants in the attack were convicted by a federal jury for “rioting, using weapons and explosives, providing material support to terrorists, obstruction, and attempted murder of an Alvarado police officer and unarmed correctional officers.”
Did the SPLC celebrate how federal law enforcement had eradicated an extremist group that expressed anti-government conspiracy theories? On the contrary, they will not acknowledge that the nine defendants who acted together and were convicted together even constituted a group. (The Washington Standard) Read more here. Father God, we thank You that the SPLC has recently come under a Senate investigation committee, so that many of that organization's deceptive and nefarious ways are now being exposed. We ask for a full and a thorough investigation of the SPLC, and, in the end, complete justice to be rendered. Thank You, O Lord, that the long season of the wicked ruling in our nation is now coming to an end, in Jesus' name, amen and amen!

At least 29 tornadoes ripped across Illinois and northwest Indiana last week, according to preliminary reports from the National Weather Service. As residents of parts of these states were recovering and surveying the damage from a destructive derecho that swept through Wednesday night with up to 80 mph winds, they were hit again less than 24 hours later with another round of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes.
A derecho is a widespread and long-lived thunderstorm with damaging winds.
As of the agency’s latest count Sunday, 17 of the confirmed tornadoes from last week occurred in northern Illinois and northwest Indiana, and nine in central Illinois. The Quad Cities weather service office confirmed three tornadoes in western Illinois of unknown intensity that caused no known damage.
The 17 tornadoes in northern Illinois and northwest Indiana brought the area’s tally for 2026 to 44 — already the third most of any year since recordkeeping began in 1950.
“This is well above average, already, for a typical year,” said Rafal Ogorek, a meteorologist with the weather service’s Chicago office.
The top two years with the most tornadoes in the office’s forecast area are 2024, with 63 confirmed tornadoes, and 2023, with 58. The entire state of Illinois typically averages 50 tornadoes annually.
Thursday produced three EF-3 tornadoes — which are characterized by speeds of 136 to 165 mph — that hit Streator, a city 81 miles southwest of Chicago; the village of Washburn near Peoria; and the towns of Hebron and Kouts in Porter County, Indiana.
No major injuries have been reported. (Chicago Tribune) Read More

"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."
