DOJ on ‘high alert’ for Iranian nationals living illegally in US, Bondi says
|

|
Attorney General Pam Bondi was questioned Monday during a House budget hearing about Iranian nationals who entered the country illegally during the Biden administration after the Trump administration warned the conflict with Iran raised threat levels in the United States.
Rep. Tony Gonzales, R-Texas, asked if the attorney general knew how many Iranian nationals in the United States have been convicted of crimes. Bondi said she was unsure, but that more than 1,000 entered the country during the last administration.
"And I can tell you, we are on high alert, and everyone is looking at that very closely," Bondi said.
U.S. Border Patrol arrested 1,504 Iranians at the southern border during President Joe Biden’s term, and nearly half of them, or 729, were released into the United States, according to a senior Customs and Border Protection source.
Bondi's remarks echo those of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which issued a notice one day prior saying that the Iran conflict "is causing a heightened threat environment in the United States." The DHS cited the possibility of extremists in the United States "independently mobilizing to violence" if Iranian leaders were to call for it. The department also said cyberattacks and incidents of antisemitism could increase.
Gonzales asked Bondi about the threat of Iranian "sleeper cells," to which the attorney general said she could "not talk about that in this setting." (Fox News) Read more here.

Vance touts destruction of Iranian nuclear program as Trump announces Israel-Iran ceasefire
|

Vice President JD Vance said the United States achieved its objective in destroying Iran’s nuclear program, moments after President Donald Trump announced on his Truth Social platform that Israel and Iran had agreed to a "complete and total ceasefire."
Vance told "Special Report" Monday that he had left the White House before Trump broke the news of a ceasefire but had been aware of its developments prior to coming on air.
"First of all, the president, without, knock on wood, having a single American casualty, obliterated the Iranian nuclear program. We are now in a place where we weren't a week ago. A week ago, Iran was very close to having a nuclear weapon. Now Iran is incapable of building a nuclear weapon with the equipment they have because we destroyed it," he said.
"Final battle damage will take some time, but initial battle damage assessments indicate that all three sites sustained extremely severe damage and destruction," said Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine.
Caine told reporters that the mission involved more than 125 U.S. aircraft, including B-2 stealth bombers, dozens of air refueling tankers, a guided missile submarine and more.
"I think what the Iranians have shown very clearly is they don't want this war to go on for much longer. Their air defenses have been totally destroyed. Their conventional missile program has been largely destroyed. And of course, their nuclear program has been obliterated, as I said before," Vance explained. "So I think the Iranians entered a place where they don't want to keep on fighting."

Trump slams Russia's casual threat to arm Iran with nuclear weapons: ‘That’s why Putin’s the boss’

President Donald Trump took a swipe at former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev for suggesting that other countries would step in to supply Iran with nuclear warheads in retaliation for the U.S. strikes on Saturday that targeted three Iranian nuclear facilities.
"Did I hear Former President Medvedev, from Russia, casually throwing around the ‘N word’ (Nuclear!), and saying that he and other Countries would supply Nuclear Warheads to Iran? Did he really say that or, is it just a figment of my imagination? If he did say that, and, if confirmed, please let me know, IMMEDIATELY. The ‘N word’ should not be treated so casually. I guess that’s why Putin’s ‘THE BOSS,’" Trump said in a Truth Social Post on Monday.
Trump’s comments came after Medvedev, now the deputy chairman of the Security Council of Russia, said that Iran would continue to advance its nuclear program and would receive assistance from other nations to do so.
"The enrichment of nuclear material — and, now we can say it outright, the future production of nuclear weapons — will continue," Medvedev said in a Sunday X post.
"A number of countries are ready to directly supply Iran with their own nuclear warheads," Medvedev said.
He did not specify which countries could be involved in providing Iran with nuclear capabilities, but Russia historically has supported Iran's nuclear program. Last week, Russian President Vladimir Putin also offered to broker peace talks between Iran and Israel.
Likewise, Moscow has also offered to intervene and help negotiate a nuclear deal between the U.S. and Iran. (Fox News) Read more.

Trump lashes out at Israel and Iran with profanity for breaking ceasefire
|

|
President Donald Trump expressed deep frustration with both Israel and Iran on Tuesday, saying the two countries "don't know what the **** they're doing."
Trump made the comments while departing from the White House for a NATO summit Tuesday morning. Both Israel and Iran fired missiles at one another following the imposition of a ceasefire on Monday night.
"I'm not happy with Israel. You know, when I say, okay, now you have 12 hours, you don't go out in the first hour and just drop everything you have on them. So I'm not happy with them. I'm not happy with Iran either, but I'm really unhappy if Israel is going out this morning," Trump said.
He continued, "We basically have two countries that have been fighting for so long and so hard that they don't know what the **** they're doing."

1. In Tehran, IDF strikes IRGC sites, gate of Evin Prison, ‘Destruction of Israel’ clock - Times of Israel
Israeli airstrikes targeted key assets and symbols of the Iranian regime in Tehran on Monday, including facilities belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the notorious Evin Prison for political prisoners, and the “Destruction of Israel” countdown clock.
The Israel Defense Forces said Israeli Air Force fighter jets struck headquarters and other facilities belonging to Iran’s internal security forces and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Tehran.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed that Israel would not be drawn into a war of attrition, even as Iranian threats of retaliation mounted across multiple fronts.
Declaring that Israel was “close to achieving the goals of the campaign,” Netanyahu’s message on Sunday came amid reports that Iran warned it may activate sleeper cells abroad and called on its proxies — from Hezbollah to the Houthis — to target Israeli and American assets in response to the US strikes on its nuclear program earlier in the day.
Also speaking Sunday, US President Donald Trump appeared to entertain the idea of regime change in Tehran — a notable departure from earlier statements by senior administration officials, who have insisted that removing the Islamic Republic’s leadership is not a strategic goal. 3. Human rights groups refuse to condemn Iran’s strike on Israeli hospital

Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and other prominent human rights groups that frequently launch baseless attacks against Israel have so far declined to condemn Iran’s strike on an Israeli hospital that injured at least 80 people.
The Washington Free Beacon reached out to over a dozen self-proclaimed human rights groups that are some of the loudest and most frequent critics of Israel to ask for comment on Iran’s airstrike on the Soroka Medical Center in southern Israel on Thursday.
The bombing destroyed the hospital’s surgical ward and was one of many Iranian airstrikes to hit civilian targets since the conflict between Israel and Iran turned hot earlier this month. (Read more)

4. IDF strikes Hezbollah terror infrastructure in Lebanon - JNS
The Israel Defense Forces announced on Monday night that it had struck infrastructure belonging to the Iranian-backed Hezbollah terrorist army in Lebanon.
“A short while ago, the IDF struck military sites belonging to Hezbollah, containing rocket and missile launchers, along with weapons storage facilities north of the Litani River in Lebanon,” the IDF stated.
The Israeli military noted that the terrorist organization’s continued presence in the area constituted a “blatant violation” of the ceasefire understandings between Jerusalem and Beirut set in November 2024.
The IDF “will continue to operate in order to remove any threat posed to the State of Israel,” Monday’s statement said. (Read more)

5. IDF Home Front Command Extends High Alert Lockdown Status - Jewish Press
The IDF Home Front Command has extended the current high alert lockdown status for at least another 24 hours.
“The defensive policy remains unchanged, and is in effect from Monday, June 23 at 6 pm until Tuesday, June 24 at 8 pm,” HFC said following a situation assessment.
The alert applies nationwide.
Under the guidelines, gatherings are entirely prohibited, beaches are closed to the public, workplace activities are prohibited except for essential services, and all educational activities are banned as well.
As one would expect in a Jewish country, supermarkets and pharmacies remain open. (Read more)

1. Police Praise Heroic Church Members Who Ran Over Gunman, Prevented Mass Shooting in Michigan - CBN.com
Police are praising the heroics of the church staff in preventing a potential mass shooting at a Detroit-area church on Sunday. A bigger tragedy was avoided on Sunday when a man was killed by church security after opening fire outside the building.
CrossPointe Community Church in Wayne, Michigan, was holding a special vacation Bible school service when the gunman began shooting. Ring-camera video near the church captured what seems to be multiple rounds of gunfire.
Police say the gunman was driving recklessly near the church, then got out of his vehicle wearing a tactical vest and carrying a rifle and a handgun, and began firing as he approached the building. That's when a church member and other staffers confronted him.
Wayne Police Dept. Chief Ryan Strong said, "A parishioner struck the gunman with his vehicle, as the gunman shot the vehicle repeatedly. At least two staff members shot the gunman, causing the fatal wounds." (Read more)

2. 60 Missing Kids Found in Florida During Largest Rescue in U.S. History - PJMedia
Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier and the United States Marshal for the Central District of Florida William Berger announced at a press conference on Monday that a two-week operation known as Operation Dragon Eye — one of, if not the largest child rescue mission in United States history — was a success.
The two-week operation saved the lives of at least 60 children and saw eight adults arrested on charges including human trafficking, child endangerment, drug possession, and drug trafficking. Operation Dragon Eye involved over 20 agencies and 100 people.
Most of the children, who were ages nine to seventeen years old, were found in the Tampa Bay area. Their stories are heartbreaking.
Berger said the children have been "debriefed and provided with physical and psychological care," but some of them required additional assistance: maternal care. According to Natasha Nascimento of Redefining Refuge, many of the young girls were pregnant. She says the operation didn't just recover children; it recovered generations. (Read more)

The Democrat-media complex got caught red-handed peddling yet another false narrative, only to have it blow up in its face when the facts came crashing down.
Their claim? The White House recklessly bypassed congressional leadership — specifically Democrats — before the operation, supposedly violating the Constitution. 4. DHS: 11 Iranian Nationals Arrested Across U.S. over Weekend - Breitbart
U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials report the arrest of 11 Iranian nationals, including some who are illegally present in the United States. The arrests came over the weekend when President Donald Trump ordered the strategic bombing of three Iranian nuclear facilities. Officials said any of these are known or suspected terrorists.
“Under @Sec_Noem, DHS has identified and arrested known or suspected terrorists and violent extremists that illegally entered this country, came in through Biden’s fraudulent parole programs or otherwise,” DHS officials wrote on social media. “We have been saying we are getting the worst of the worst out—and we are. We don’t wait until a military operation to execute; we proactively deliver on President Trump’s mandate to secure the homeland.”

5. Democrats' campaign to limit Trump's war powers is dead in the water -The Blaze
Democratic lawmakers pushed legislation in both chambers of Congress last week with the aim of limiting President Donald Trump's war powers — something they sought in his first term and began gunning for again ahead of his second inauguration.
This campaign, spearheaded in the House by Republican Thomas Massie (Ky.) and in the Senate by Democratic Sen. Tim Kaine (Va.), picked up steam in the wake of Israel's June 12 military strikes on Iran's nuclear infrastructure and amid suggestions by the likes of Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) that America's direct involvement in the conflict was a foregone conclusion.

6. Republican senator makes a stunning admission: 'I can't be somebody that I'm not' - The Blaze
Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska signaled that she would be open to a major political shake-up, but on one condition.
Murkowski, who has a track record of bucking her party, admitted on a new episode of the "GD Politics" podcast that she would be open to caucusing with Democrats and even changing her party affiliation to independent if she felt it benefited her constituents. Although Murkowski has repeatedly refrained from voting alongside Republicans on key votes, she also acknowledged that there are certain aspects of the Democratic Party she simply disagrees with.

We bless her as she reflects on doing the right thing for the people of Alaska, though for many years she has walked a very fragile line between standing for values or following a script. We forgive her and call her to a new life in Jesus and that her position in Congress would be replaced with a person who is able to stand in integrity and justice on behalf of our nation.

FL Bans Weather Manipulation

Late last week, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill to ban weather manipulation in his state, punishing those caught doing so with fines and prison time.
DeSantis signed Senate Bill 56, spearheaded by Sen. Ileana Garcia, R-Miami, which repeals current state law that allowed the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to issue permits to people or groups seeking to change the weather.
The new law tasks state environmental officials with creating a public portal for people to report claims of weather modification, and gives officials discretion to investigate those claims.
In addition, the law also requires publicly owned airports to report any planes that are equipped with weather modification or geoeningeering equipment to the Florida Department of Transportation. (Tampa Bay Times and IFA) Read more here. |

Iran says an hour before Trump's ceasefire announcement they hadn't seen any proposal

Just an hour before President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran, a senior Iranian official that the country had not seen any ceasefire proposal, and reportedly saw no reason for one, a source has revealed.
The official went on to say that Iran would continue to fight until it achieves a "lasting peace," adding that it would view remarks from Israel and the US as “a deception” intended to justify attacks on Iran’s interests.
“At this very moment, the enemy is committing aggression against Iran, and Iran is on the verge of intensifying its retaliatory strikes, with no ear to listen to the lies of its enemies,” the official told CNN.
Neither Iran nor Israel has publicly confirmed the ceasefire agreement, and just minutes after Trump's post, CNN journalists on the ground in Iran reported hearing explosions in the Iranian capital of Tehran.
Trump announced via TruthSocial Monday night, saying that Iran and Israel had accepted the terms of a ceasefire to begin in approximately six hours after just a little over a week of exchanging missile fire. (MSN.com) Read more here.

In addition, they are quoting the words of a leader in Islam. Islam teaches the method of Taqiyyah, which is to lie or to give a false report if it will advance one's cause.
Putting all of this together, we see that this report - that Iran did not receive Trump's cease fire order in time - is to be doubted. Federal judges have blocked Louisiana's law to hang posters of the ten commandments in all classrooms in public schools after a year long lawsuit since the mandate was signed

A panel of three federal appellate judges has determined that Louisiana's law mandating the display of the Ten Commandments in all public school classrooms infringes upon the Constitution. The ruling on Friday was a significant win for civil liberties organizations that contend the mandate infringes on the separation of church and state, potentially marginalizing non-Christian students.
“This is a resounding victory for the separation of church and state and public education,” Heather L. Weaver, a senior staff attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union, said. The plaintiffs’ attorneys and Louisiana disagreed on whether the appeals court’s decision applied to every public school district in the state or only the districts party to the lawsuit.
Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill asserted that the ruling only pertained to the school districts in the five parishes involved in the lawsuit. Murrill also stated that she would challenge the ruling, potentially taking it to the U.S. Supreme Court if necessary.

‘Groundbreaking’ archaeological discoveries at W&M provide a deeper understanding and connection to the historic Williamsburg Bray School

(William & Mary News) Beneath William & Mary’s Robert M. Gates Hall, archaeologists this summer uncovered a remarkable find: the near-complete 18th-century foundation of the Williamsburg Bray School. The Bray School, one of the oldest known institutions in North America dedicated to the education of enslaved and free Black children, operated on the site from 1760 to 1765. Its foundations were thought to be only partially intact.
Researchers also discovered a previously undocumented cellar, layered with centuries of artifacts. The discoveries provide a new portal into the site’s past, providing a more complete story of the Williamsburg Bray School, its scholars and their impact.
“As the United States prepares to mark its 250th anniversary, William & Mary is embracing its role as a steward of the nation’s origin stories – and as a catalyst for their expansion,” said W&M President Katherine A. Rowe.
“The discovery of this cellar is thrilling,” Rowe added. “The roots of our city and university entwine here. Every layer of history that it reveals gives us new insights into our early republic, from the Williamsburg Bray School through the generations that followed, up through the early 20th century.” Read More
