Texas will allow public school students to receive religious instruction during the school day
Texas has passed a law allowing students to receive religious instruction off-campus during the school day for a limited time, which supporters are characterizing as a victory for parental rights.  Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott signed Senate Bill 1049 into law Friday. The measure, which passed the Republican-controlled Texas Senate in a 30-1 vote and the Republican-controlled Texas House of Representatives in a 123-12 vote,  goes into effect on Sept. 1. It received bipartisan support, with only one Senate Democrat and 12 House Democrats opposing it.

The legislation adds a new section to state law governing what constitutes an excused absence from school under state law. Texas schools are now required to excuse students "from attending school to attend a released time course for at least one but not more than five hours per week." The bill defines a "released time course" as "a course in religious instruction offered by a private entity." The measure requires all public school districts and charter schools in the state to enact policies allowing students to attend religious instruction during the school day by Jan. 1.  (Christian Post) Read More Here
- Abba Father, we CELEBRATE the allowing of Texan students to receive religious instruction during school hours! Bless Governor Greg Abbott for enacting this law and the legislators who voted in agreement to bring this blessing upon students across Texas. We declare a genuine surrender and deep walk with Jesus for each child who attends these classes. May they each be filled with the Holy Spirit and used powerfully by God in spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ to other students and even their own family members, all for the GLORY of God! In Yeshua's mighty Name we pray- Amen and Amen.

Trump urges GOP to quickly pass his megabill: No vacation until it’s done

President Trump is urging Republicans on Capitol Hill to pass the party’s sprawling tax cuts and spending package, while threatening to yank the recesses next week if the legislation is not on his desk.

The call to action comes as GOP leaders are trying to enact the “big, beautiful bill” by their self-imposed July 4 deadline, which the administration has backed.

Both chambers are scheduled to be on recess next week to celebrate Independence Day, leaving little time for Republicans to finish up their work. The Senate still has to approve the package, and then the House must give it a final stamp of approval, a pair of herculean tasks that are being stymied by a number of lingering policy disagreements.

Trump wants the first of those two parts — Senate passage — done this week, and he says Republicans should remain in town to get the measure cleared.

“To my friends in the Senate, lock yourself in a room if you must, don’t go home, and GET THE DEAL DONE THIS WEEK,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Work with the House so they can pick it up, and pass it, IMMEDIATELY. NO ONE GOES ON VACATION UNTIL IT’S DONE.”

The House and Senate are both scheduled to break for recess Friday, with lawmakers heading home for Independence Day parades and barbecues. Trump, however, is threatening to thwart that plan, saying lawmakers must remain in session until the legislation is enacted.

Republican leaders in both chambers, to be sure, have suggested the same. Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) wrote in a Fox News op-ed Monday that the upper chamber will remain in Washington until it clears the legislation. (The Hill) Read more.

Abba, we give You praise and thanksgiving for all that President Trump has accomplished in the last few weeks.  We ask You to bring to closure Your version of The Great Big Beautiful Bill.  Holy Spirit, we ask You to pour out unity in the hearts of all Republicans; give them eyes to see what You see as valuable in this bill. Holy One, we ask You to bring them into agreement on Your "must haves" and allow the rest to fall away.  We ask the same for all Democrats, speak to their hearts and give them an openness to hear what is truly best for our nation without the political baggage.

Father God, we need a change of heart across the board, Republicans and Democrats.  We need You to intervene and speak in new ways that all can hear, speak of Your love for our nation and Your heart that is for us and not against us, a heart to do us good and not harm us.  We need revival at all levels of our government and that includes Your son, Donald.  Renew minds and ideas, hearts and emotions, pour out discernment that our congress can see and understand Your plans for this bill and our nation.   We ask this in the name Elohim, God the Creator, mighty and strong, Elohim who spoke the world into existence.

- In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters."  (Genesis 1:1-2)

Pro-Hamas Campus Groups Call for Toppling US Government, Killing Soldiers

The National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP) organization condemned the US bombing of nuclear facilities in the Islamic Republic of Iran over the weekend, threatening that the American government will be deposed.

The anti-government comments came one day after US President Donald Trump ordered the bombing of three key Iranian nuclear sites — Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz — where Western governments believe the Islamist regime was working to build nuclear weapons.

Tehran has claimed its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes

“The empire will fall, from Gaza to Tehran,” NSJP said, writing on the Instagram social media platform.

“The unprovoked attacks the US and the Zionist entity have launched against Iran prove only one thing: imperialism in the region will not stop at suffocating Palestine. From Iraq to Lebanon, Libya, Yemen, Syria, and now Iran, the Empire [sic] demands constant expansion and destabilization.” (United with Israel) Read more here.

- Abba, have mercy!  Have mercy on our nation, but, more so, have mercy on the souls of all those who have been deceived by Satan and now do his bidding through hate filled organizations.  We ask You to provide downloads of information and direction to Your warrior intercessors. Give us the vision to know exactly how to bring down satanic strongholds across our campuses,  and to unmask hearts and intentions within these organizations. We ask You to expose the hatred where "love" is spoken.  We ask Holy Spirit to tear apart these structures from within.

Father God, we ask You to intervene in the lives of students that have been sucked into this lie. Please put it on the hearts of parents and those who love them to take notice of changes in their thinking and beliefs that must be addressed, and that cannot be ignored.  Lord God, thank You that Your heart is that none should perish, so we ask You to draw all involved to Yourself. Cause them to repent so each one can feel what Your love is like. Give them reason to stop, think and turn around.  We ask this in the name Jehovah Sabaoth, The Host of Heaven's Armies, the God who has power and authority over millions of angels and men ready to follow His instructions.

- "The LORD is a warrior, the LORD is his name." (Exodus 15:3)

White House Dismisses Report That Iran’s Nuclear Program Was Only Temporarily Set Back

The White House has rejected a CNN report claiming that a leaked classified U.S. intelligence assessment concluded that last weekend’s military strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities only set back the country’s program by a few months.

In a statement issued on June 24, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the alleged early Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) assessment cited by CNN was “flat-out wrong,” and accused the outlet of relying on a “low-level loser in the intelligence community” to undermine President Donald Trump and discredit U.S. fighter pilots.

“The leaking of this alleged assessment is a clear attempt to demean President Trump and discredit the brave fighter pilots who conducted a perfectly executed mission to obliterate Iran’s nuclear program,” Leavitt said. “Everyone knows what happens when you drop fourteen 30,000-pound bombs perfectly on their targets—total obliteration.”

Likewise, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth dismissed the notion that the strikes were anything less than a total success.

“Based on everything we have seen—and I’ve seen it all—our bombing campaign obliterated Iran’s ability to create nuclear weapons,” Hegseth said in a statement. “Our massive bombs hit exactly the right spot at each target—and worked perfectly. The impact of those bombs is buried under a mountain of rubble in Iran; so anyone who says the bombs were not devastating is just trying to undermine the President and the successful mission.”

CNN reported on Tuesday that an early battle damage assessment produced by the Pentagon’s intelligence arm concluded that the strikes had not destroyed Iran’s centrifuges or its stockpile of enriched uranium. Citing four unnamed sources briefed on the findings, the report said the damage was limited primarily to aboveground infrastructure and that Iran’s nuclear program may only have been set back by at most several months. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Abba, there are so many opinions being offered right now about the extent of damage done to the Iranian Nuclear site at Fordow and others. but You are the only one who knows the truth!   Even Iran will not know the full extent until they dig out the rubble! We ask You to speak this truth to Your son, Donald, give him peace that all the press is just opinions and no opinion matters but Yours.  We ask You to open our eyes to see Your hand in all the events of the last 2 weeks, give us Your vision of what truly happened and why You brought our nation to this place in time.

Give us the grace to walk in humility before You knowing that all that was done was Your hand guiding, directing and accomplishing.  Thank You for all those who were faithful to do the jobs necessary for this plan to be carried out quietly and effectively.  Jesus, we ask Your hand of comfort on all who have lost loved ones in Israel and all citizens of Iran.  We ask that Your perfect will be done in Iran, Israel and the US as we continue our lives.  Jesus, stay close, these are scary times.  We ask this in the name Jehovah Rohi, The Lord Our Shepherd.

- "For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their
shepherd; 'he will lead them to springs of living
water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

As Cease-Fire Holds, Trump Says He Doesn’t Want Regime Change in Iran

President Donald Trump said on Tuesday he’s not seeking regime change in Iran. The comments come two days after floating the possibility on social media, amid a cease-fire that he announced hours later.

“I don’t want it. I’d like to see everything calm down as quickly as possible,” Trump told reporters on Air Force One as he traveled to a NATO summit in Europe, responding to a question on whether he wants the Islamic regime to collapse. “Regime change takes chaos and ideally, we don’t want to see so much chaos, so we’ll see how it does.”

Over the weekend, he wrote on Truth Social that “if the current Iranian Regime is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why wouldn’t there be a Regime change???”

On Monday, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told ABC News said that “if the Iranian regime refuses to come to a peaceful, diplomatic solution—which the president is still interested in engaging in ... why shouldn’t the Iranian people take away the power of this incredibly violent regime?”

In response to Trump’s comment on Truth Social, the press secretary said that Trump “was just simply raising a question” about Iran and added that “as far as our military posture, it has not been changed.”

Trump’s comment on Tuesday was made after he criticized both Iran and Israel for launching strikes after he announced a cease-fire on social media on Monday evening. The two countries had been bombing one another for more than a week before the United States launched airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities over the weekend, while Iran launched a volley of missiles at an American base in Qatar on Monday. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

- Abba, thank You that President Trump is staying true to his word, his intention was to destroy Iran's nuclear potential, not bring regime change, and that is what he has done.  We ask You to honor President Trump's actions and his willingness to stay within his own boundaries.  We ask for Your perfect will to be accomplished inside Iran, inside the regime, bring Your heart's desire for the people of Iran into being, as only You can do.

We ask for deep rooted changes of minds and hearts within all leadership groups making decisions for their people.  Silence the raging voice of the enemy crying out for death. Soften hearts, allow Your love to seep into each heart and mind.  Holy Spirit, pour out peace and hope into the hungry hearts of the Iranian people.  Give Your kids an awareness that You are close, let Your presence be tangible, hold them close and heal their hearts. We ask this in the name Jehovah Shalom, The Lord Our Peace.

- "Lord, you establish peace for us; all that we
have accomplished you have done for us."

FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1.  Netanyahu claims ‘historic victory,’ says ‘we sent Iran’s nuclear program down the drain’ - Times of Israel

In a video statement on Tuesday summing up the war against Iran, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Israel “achieved a historic victory” that would “abide for generations” following the US-brokered ceasefire to end the 12-day conflict.

He said Israel removed “two existential threats — the threat of destruction via nuclear weapons and the threat of destruction via 20,000 ballistic missiles” that Iran was moving to build. Israel would have faced destruction in the near future “if we hadn’t acted now.”

US President Donald Trump acted “in an unprecedented fashion,” the prime minister said, thanking him for “his part in defending Israel, and removing the Iranian nuclear threat.” (Read more)

2. Israel will be in Iran for years to come, Mossad head David Barnea says - Jerusalem Post

Mossad Chief David Barnea on Wednesday issued a rare video excerpt to the public of an address to his Mossad agents involved in the sensational operations against Iran on June 13 and afterward, which brought the Islamic Republic to its knees.

Almost tauntingly to Tehran, he told his Mossad agents, “We will [continue to] be there, like we have been there.”

Barnea said that the spy agencies’ achievements against Iran were “unimaginable,” with public details indicating they were involved in assassinating top Iranian military chiefs and nuclear scientists and blowing up nuclear facilities, drone facilities, and ballistic missile facilities. (Read more)

3. Seven Israeli Soldiers Killed in Hamas Attack in Gaza - Algemeiner

The Israeli military said seven soldiers were killed in a single attack in southern Gaza on Tuesday, the military’s deadliest day in the territory since a ceasefire with Hamas ended in March.

A lieutenant, three staff sergeants, and three sergeants, members of a combat engineering battalion, were killed when an explosive device planted on the armored vehicle they were traveling in ignited a fire, the military said on Wednesday.

The latest deaths are likely to increase public pressure on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reach a ceasefire in Gaza and end the nearly two-year-long war, a move strongly opposed by some members of his right-wing ruling coalition. (Read more)

4.  Israel not sending delegation for hostage deal talks to Qatar, Egypt for now, sources tell 'Post' - Jerusalem Post

Israel currently has no intention of sending a delegation to Qatar or Egypt for negotiations on a hostage deal, an Israeli official told The Jerusalem Post on Wednesday. “A delegation will be dispatched once the conditions are right. We are always prepared to deploy it on short notice, but those conditions have not yet materialized,” the official said.

As previously reported by the PostEgypt has requested that Israel send a delegation to Cairo, but at this stage, no such mission is expected to take place. Meanwhile, high-level talks are underway in Cairo between senior Egyptian officials, Steve Witkoff representative Bishara Bahbah, and senior Hamas representatives who arrived in the Egyptian capital to discuss a potential hostage agreement.

While US President Donald Trump is pushing for a comprehensive deal that would end the war, Israeli officials say that, for now, discussions are centered on the Witkoff framework – a proposal involving the release of 10 hostages in exchange for a 60-day ceasefire. (Read more)

5. Netanyahu says Hamas taking control of humanitarian aid in Gaza - Times of Israel

Hamas is taking control of humanitarian aid entering the northern Gaza Strip and stealing it from Gazan civilians, says Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz in a joint late-night statement.

They instruct the IDF to present to them within 48 hours a plan to keep Hamas from stealing aid, according to the statement.

The announcement comes an hour after former prime minister Naftali Bennett, who looks to be a leading challenger to Netanyahu in the next election, posted on X a video of armed men he says are Hamas operatives riding on trucks full of humanitarian aid that they had taken over. He wrote that soldiers in the ground told him their orders are to let trucks in to Gaza with no attempt to control what happens to them. (Read more)

Stupidocrisy: Democratic Party Beltway Hypocrisy

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, June 25, 2025

If you’ve watched cable news or checked social media this week, you’d think President Trump had launched World War III. The media echo chamber is in full panic mode over his recent bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities. Democrats are crying foul—saying it’s “unconstitutional,” “dangerous,” and “done without Congressional approval.” It’s as if they’ve all come down with a case of selective amnesia. Let’s set the record straight. This isn’t the first time a US president has launched military strikes without going through the process of allowing Congress to approve it. In fact, some of the loudest critics of Trump’s Iran strike were part of—or cheering on—similar actions when their team was in the White House.

Barack Obama bombed seven different countries, including Libya in 2011 saying he didn’t need Congressional approval. Congress? Irrelevant. That operation went far beyond “limited engagement,” it helped oust Gaddafi and left Libya in chaos. Remember Benghazi? Obama also launched airstrikes in Syria in 2014, using a post-9/11 authorization meant for Al-Qaeda—even though he was targeting ISIS and other regional actors, not covered by that law. Bill Clinton also bombed five different countries. He bombed Iraq twice in 1993 and 1998, Bosnia (’94), Afghanistan and Sudan (‘98)—all without a Congressional green light. In 1999, he ordered a 78-day bombing campaign in Yugoslavia during the Kosovo conflict. No declaration of war. No Congressional authorization. In fact, they both defied Congress to act. Read More

Philly, Boston hit 100, NYC breaks record from
1888 amid heat wave

Records dating back to the 1800s have been shattered as an early-summer heat wave roasts large areas of the central and eastern United States. AccuWeather RealFeel® Temperatures have blown past the 100-degree mark, air conditioners are on full blast, and cities are opening cooling centers to help people cope with the intense heat.

“This is an incredibly hot and steamy heat wave for the month of June,” AccuWeather Chief On-Air Meteorologist Bernie Rayno said.

Tuesday's heat breaks 137-year-old record

The heat wave peaked on Tuesday, and it wasn't just the hottest day of 2025, but the hottest weather many residents in the Northeast have experienced in over a decade.

The mercury soared to 102 degrees in Boston on Tuesday afternoon, making it the hottest day in the city since July 22, 2011, when it reached 103. Philadelphia also notched its first 100-degree day since July 18, 2012.

In New York City, the temperature fell just shy of hitting triple digits, but the high of 99 degrees was still enough to beat the previous daily record for the date, surpassing the high of 96 degrees set on June 24, 1888. Some areas not far from Central Park, where the official weather observations for the city are taken, did manage to hit 100 degrees, including Newark (103) and John F. Kennedy International Airport (102). Read More
