JD Vance Opens Up About His Faith:
'God Is Always Trying to Speak to Us'
|
|
After meeting his future wife, Usha, Vance began to think more seriously about what really mattered. He started focusing on becoming a better husband, father, and person. Along the way, he also encountered men whose Christian faith was clearly shaping the way they lived.
"One of the really interesting takeaways from this book is sometimes people take very long and winding paths, and what gets them back on the journey is just a person who's a good example, who's a good husband, who's a good father," Vance says. "My Uncle Dan, he was just a good guy, and I realized that it was his faith that inspired him, and maybe getting back to that faith could lead me to be the same kind of guy that he was."
In short, Vance eventually found his way back to the Christian faith he had once abandoned. When I asked him whether that return was driven by a sudden spiritual breakthrough or a more gradual intellectual journey, he said it was a combination of the two.
"I think it was both, but for me, it was more of an intellectual process because at first I said, okay, these Christians are really interesting, they seem to have something that they believe that motivates a really good behavior. There were rays of sunshine that I saw from Christians, and I started thinking, well, what is the source of those rays of sunshine? And the more that I got into that, the more that I said, well, it's this belief in Jesus Christ. It's this belief in grace and forgiveness." (CBN) Read More Here and Watch Interview Here.

Father we thank You that You have touched the heart of Vice President JD Vance. May he continue to grow in the knowledge of Your love and Your holy Word! We ask that JD Vance be used mightily within his own family influencing his wife Usha, second lady of the United States, and also his children. May strong faith in Christ continue to be evident through his words, thoughts and actions, bringing others within his sphere of influence to know the Lord. In Jesus mighty Name we pray- Amen.

Here’s How the IRS Is Taking on the Networks Potentially Funding Antifa
|
|
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told reporters Thursday that the Internal Revenue Service and the FBI have made substantial progress on investigating the networks funding Antifa leftist agitators, and he mentioned one concrete policy change that could undermine nonprofits’ ability to prop up the violent movement.
“In October, the Treasury Department started working with the FBI to investigate who’s funding Antifa. Can you give us an update on that investigation?” The Daily Caller’s Reagan Reese asked Bessent.
“We’ve made substantial progress, and I think in the weeks and months ahead, we’re going to have a lot to report,” Bessent responded.
He noted one concrete change the IRS has already made, which may help expose and combat Antifa funding.
“The IRS is now giving guidance on the Form 990, which nonprofits have to file,” the treasury secretary explained. He said the IRS will “demand that nonprofits know their grant recipients.”
“So, if a grant recipient is violent, if they are suppressing people’s rights, then you are responsible for that,” Bessent explained. “I think that’s a very good first step.” (Daily Signal) Read more

Father God,
We thankYou, that Treasury Secretary, Scott Bennet told reporters that the FBI, Internal Revenue Service and President Trump are making substantial progress in investigating the networks that are funding Antifa leftist agitators and violent protests. We pray that this web of deceit that has received grants from the "Left's Dark Money Network" will bring an immediate end to the wickedness and violent protests in our nation.
Lord, You are working mightily on exposing the Antifa movement and now Texas has convicted eight members of the Antifa cell for providing material support to terrorist organizations. We pray, Father, that the 'non profit' groups that could be funding some of these violent protests, would be exposed and have to know their grant recipients and if they are violent and suppressing people's rights they should be held responsible for that. Our prayer and our decree is "Lord, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end!" In Jesus name. Amen.
"The righteous hate what is false. but the wicked make themselves a stench and bring shame on themselves." (Proverbs 13:5)

US Gasoline Prices Fall for 6th Straight Week
|
|
|
U.S. gasoline prices have fallen for a sixth consecutive week, slipping below $4 per gallon nationally, as easing concerns over global oil supplies and improving prospects for shipping through the Strait of Hormuz provided relief for motorists during the peak summer travel season.
The national average price for regular gasoline stood at $3.93 per gallon on June 23, according to the American Automobile Association, or AAA, down from $3.99 a week earlier and more than 58 cents below levels seen a month ago.
Separate data from fuel-tracking service GasBuddy showed prices fell 14.1 cents over the past week to an average of $3.85 per gallon on Monday, extending a decline that has erased roughly 15 percent from gasoline prices since their May peak.
As part of the framework agreement, Iran agreed to reopen the Hormuz Strait, a key maritime chokepoint that its military had blocked in retaliation for joint U.S.–Israeli strikes at the end of February that triggered the war.
Crude prices, which soared in the immediate wake of the Hormuz blockade, have retreated sharply from recent highs as markets increasingly bet that oil shipments through the strategic waterway will continue to recover.
U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright said over the weekend that commercial shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz had returned to normal levels and predicted further declines in oil, gasoline, and other energy prices.
“Flows of oil and natural gas through the straits have already returned to normal, and they will continue that way whatever happens with the negotiations with the Iranians,” Wright told ABC News on June 21. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Abba, we give You praise and thanks for creating the MoU that President Trump negotiated with Iran and the lower gasoline prices that it brought. We ask You to stand with Your son, Donald, as the rest of this treaty is worked through and brought to completion. We ask Holy Spirit to silence the voices of the enemy within the Iranian leadership team, let Your voice guide and direct not only the US negotiators but the Iranian as well. Download to Your intercessors what is necessary to pray over and how to pray into the situation. Give us vision and wisdom as we come into Your presence, let Your praise be in our minds and on our lips, let Your glory flow over us as we obey You. Come Lord, bring Your peace. We ask this in the name of Yahweh Shalom, The Lord Our Peace, the God who makes us complete.
"Submit to God and be at peace with him,
in this way prosperity will come to you."

Senate Passes Resolution to Halt Iran Conflict
|
|
|
WASHINGTON—The U.S. Senate on June 23 passed a resolution seeking to prevent U.S. forces from engaging in further hostilities with Iran unless they are first authorized by Congress.
Senators voted 50–48 in favor of a Democrat-led concurrent resolution to constrain President Donald Trump’s ability to make war against Iran. The resolution was previously passed in a vote in the House of Representatives on June 3.
It offers a symbolic rebuke of the military campaign Trump launched against Iran on Feb. 28, but lacks clear legal enforceability without the president’s signature.
The 1973 law does not require the resolution to go to the president’s desk for signature. A 1983 Supreme Court decision held that the measure must be sent for a president’s signature or veto to have legal effect.
The Trump administration has maintained that the War Powers Act is unconstitutional and therefore not binding. Trump took aim at the Senate’s passage in a Truth Social post, saying the move was “poorly timed and meaningless.” “These Senators have just made my job more difficult, but I will get it done, one way or the other, because I always get it done,” the president wrote.
Democrats had led several previous attempts to pass a war powers resolution concerning the Iran conflict, but hadn’t managed to gather enough votes for it to pass in the Republican-controlled Senate. Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), Susan Collins (R-Maine), Bill Cassidy (R-La.), and Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) voted in favor of the Democrat-led war powers resolution. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

|
Abba, Your son, Donald, needs Your help. Because of the vote taken to limit his actions in the Iran conflict, it has shown the enemy a lack of unity that will, as President Trump has said, make it harder for him. We ask Holy Spirit to go before President Trump and make the path straight and smooth, provide all information needed and give him the wisdom to know how to walk out Your plans to bring this conflict to a close. Father God, pour into his heart Your peace and patience, speak to him of what Your plans look like going forward, give him understanding of why You are taking him down this road, allow Your words to release frustration and tension. Show him what You know he needs to see, lift him up. We ask this in the name El Roi, The God Who Sees everything.
"His eyes are on the ways of mortals;
he sees their every step." (Job 34:21)

Trump Cancels Signing Ceremony for Housing Bill Until Senate Passes SAVE America Act
|
|
|
President Donald Trump canceled a scheduled signing ceremony of the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act at the Capitol on Wednesday until the Senate passes the SAVE America Act.
Trump was scheduled to sign the housing bill into law at 1:00 p.m. ET, but announced in a Truth Social post on Wednesday morning that he would be canceling the ceremony.
“Today’s Housing News Conference and Signing is hereby cancelled until such time as we pass the desperately needed SAVE AMERICA ACT, which I consider to be a National Emergency. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” he wrote.
The legislation, championed by Sen Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), passed the Senate 89-10 and the House of Representatives 358-32, would ban institutional investors from buying single-family homes.
While Trump is supportive of the bill and whipped the House on voting for it after it was passed by the Senate, he is now holding off on signing it into law in a move to leverage the advancement of the SAVE America Act.
The SAVE America Act focuses on securing elections, including measures that would require proof of citizenship when Americans register to vote, implement voter ID, and allow mail-in voting only for exceptions such as illness, disability, travel, and military service. It would also make transgender surgeries illegal and ban men from participating in women’s athletics, codifying issues Trump has addressed through the executive branch.
When asked on Wednesday about the SAVE America Act after canceling the signing of the housing bill, Trump said, “Every election is important. We’re doing very well.”
“[Democrats] want a lot of communists to come in. I’m saying it a little bit differently, but the people that they’re pushing are communists, and this country is not going to have communists,” he added. (Breitbart) Read more here.

|
Father God, we agree with our President. Although several communists have now won the primary elections in several states, the fight for our nation remains: WE DO NOT WANT THE COMMUNISTS RUNNING AMERICA! NOT ON OUR WATCH!
In the end, the SAVE AMERICA ACT will save America! We want ONLY registered Americans to be able to vote in our elections: measures that would require proof of citizenship when Americans register to vote, implement voter ID, and allow mail-in voting only for exceptions such as illness, disability, travel, and military service.
We thank You, Holy One, for the Save America Act, and for the President's courage in refusing to sign any other legislation until this is passed. The SAVE America Act must come first! In Your Name, Holy One, we offer this prayer, amen and amen!
[We bind the forces that would "kill" this bill and loose the forces that would allow it to pass.]
“Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." (Matthew 18:18)

How Haym Salomon Kept the Flame of American Liberty Burning
|
|
|
New York was burning again.
On a hot August night in 1778, as strong winds blew inland from the harbor, a massive fire tore through lower Manhattan near Cruger’s Wharf. The flames destroyed roughly 50 houses in a city already scarred by war, occupation, and suspicion. A later history would say the damage was made worse when British officers tried to direct the city’s firefighters themselves — a blunder that only deepened the sense that the occupiers were losing command of the city beneath their feet.
The British were primed to see fire in occupied New York as the work of American agents. They had done so two years earlier, after the Great Fire of 1776 ripped through the city just days after the British occupation began. Now, in August 1778, another great fire had broken out in lower Manhattan. And shortly afterward, British General Sir Henry Clinton had a man taken in New York on charges that he had received orders from General Washington to burn British fleets and destroy their storehouses — orders the British alleged he had tried to execute “to their great injury and damage.”
The accused was Haym Salomon.
Salomon was imprisoned, treated brutally, and condemned to death. He escaped by means of what a later account described as “a considerable bribe in gold,” corroborated by a letter he wrote shortly afterward to his brother-in-law, Major Franks. Then he fled to Philadelphia and changed the course of the American Revolution with a ledger book.
After his escape from the death sentence in August 1778, Salomon reached Philadelphia with his New York property confiscated and his wife and infant child left behind.
He rebuilt with remarkable speed. By 1781, when the Continental Congress appointed Robert Morris as superintendent of finance and charged him with keeping the Revolutionary government from collapsing under its debts, Salomon became one of Morris’s most useful brokers. By July 1782, he was publicly advertising himself as “Broker to the Office of Finance” — the man who helped turn French subsidies, Dutch loans, public paper, and bills of exchange into the hard money needed to pay troops, buy supplies, and keep the machinery of a revolution running.
He also reached into his own pocket.
The Revolution did not merely need money. It needed someone who could move money through channels broken by the war: foreign grants, depreciated paper, private credit, personal advances, and desperate appeals from public men who could no longer pay their own expenses. Salomon sat at that junction. He spoke several languages and had the commercial skill, abundant courage, and access to networks that crossed the Atlantic world. He had also proved, in British-occupied New York, that he was willing to risk his life.
It fell to Calvin Coolidge, speaking in Washington in 1925, to give Salomon the title history had too often denied him. “There is a romance in the story of Haym Salomon,” Coolidge said, “Polish Jew, financier of the Revolution.” Salomon, the president continued, had negotiated loans for Robert Morris, pledged his personal faith and fortune for enormous amounts, and personally advanced large sums to Madison, Jefferson, Steuben, St. Clair, and other patriot leaders, “who testified that without his aid they could not have carried on in the cause.”
A Polish-born Jewish immigrant, twice arrested by the British, once condemned to death, had kept the flame of American liberty burning when it had nearly gone out.
As America turns 250 this year, we should hold the memory of Salomon as a blessing to our young nation.

Abba, we give You high praise, honor and glory for putting Haym Salomon in this specific time in history, in this specific place with such a specific purpose! Only You could put that together. We ask You to "do it again, God"! We ask You to raise up thousands of Haym Salomon's in our nation at this time in history, in the places You know they are needed, with the purpose of loving our nation, understanding how valuable our freedom is and with courageous hearts, just like Haym's. Raise up intercessors to stand with them, undergirding their lives with prayer, blessings and steadfast hearts. Thank You, Jesus, that the founding of our nation, was Your idea, that You called us for the purpose of showing forth Your holiness and righteousness and spreading Your word to all nations. Thank You for being our Haym Salomon, showing us love, giving us Your direction and undergirding us with Your Word and angels. We love You Jesus! We ask all of this in the name of Yahweh M'Kaddesh, The Lord Who Sanctifies, Makes Holy.
"Fear the Lord, you his holy people,
for those who fear him lack nothing."

1. Report: Israel sidelined as US, Iran establish military oversight cell in Lebanon
- Israel Hayom
The Lebanese newspaper Nidaa al-Watan reported Wednesday morning that the ceasefire monitoring cell will consist of Lebanon, the US, and Iran, while Qatar and Pakistan will fulfill a supporting and tracking role.
The report also noted that the cell will likely be military rather than diplomatic, focusing on military matters. Concurrently, US assurances were transferred to Lebanese President Joseph Aoun that the Lebanese track will remain separate from the Iranian track. The assurances emphasized that Lebanon is the only party authorized to conduct negotiations, without the possibility of handing the Lebanese file over to Tehran. The report claimed that an American effort is underway to free Lebanon from Iranian control.
Meanwhile, an American source told the Saudi network Al-Arabiya that Israel has requested that the Lebanese Armed Forces deploy along the Ali al-Taher ridge before any withdrawal from the region in southern Lebanon. Additionally, the source said that Israel seeks to conduct searches in Hezbollah tunnels along the ridge to ensure no terrorists from the terror organization remain inside them. According to the source, Israel demands that the Lebanese Armed Forces execute steps on the ground before any withdrawal, proving an ability to dismantle Hezbollah infrastructure. (Read more)

2. Israel, Lebanon Discuss Pilot Scheme to Hand Over Territory - Algemeiner
Lebanon and Israel are discussing a US-backed proposal for Israeli forces to transfer some of the Lebanese territory invaded in their war with Hezbollah to Lebanon‘s military, officials on both sides said, in a possible step toward restoring Lebanese control of occupied territory.
The proposed pilot project is part of the latest round of Israeli-Lebanese talks in Washington, which are going ahead even after they appear to have been eclipsed by Iran’s move to make Lebanon central to its talks with the United States.
An Israeli drone strike on a car in southern Lebanon on Wednesday killed at least two people, Lebanese security and medical sources told Reuters, despite a new ceasefire. (Read more)

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s newnational security adviser, Shmuel Ben Ezra, reportedly convened an urgent meeting Tuesday on “encouraging voluntary emigration” of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.
According to the Haaretz newspaper, security officials were surprised the issue was being brought up again, and at such short notice.
Mossad representatives said during the meeting that they had found no countries willing to take in Gazans, and that there were otherwise no new developments on the matter, the report said. (Read more)

1. Democrats Renew Push to Expand the Court - Million Voices
Radical politicians are using the recent Louisiana v. Callais decision to justify packing the Supreme Court. Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and other progressive leaders want to expand the court to force their extreme political agenda.
Dedicated citizens must stand up to protect our constitutional freedoms, defend family values, and maintain the independence of the judiciary. One of the most alarming proposals gaining traction is the demand to expand the number of justices. This dangerous agenda threatens to destroy the very separation of powers that protects our fundamental liberties.
Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has publicly embraced this extreme measure. During a recent political convention, he declared the current court rogue and suggested expanding it to 13 seats. As noted by legal scholar Jonathan Turley in 2026, Buttigieg endorsed the plan of radical Democrats to pack the court. Radical politicians are using the recent Louisiana v. Father God, we pray together to push back this effort to fill our courts with more judges, many of whom do not have our best interests at heart. By "packing these courts," we endanger the balance of power that now exists within the judicial branch. We ask that Your wisdom would lead those in authority, so that our current system of justice would be maintained for our nation. We ask this in Your Name, amen and amen.

2. Justices Limit Gun Law for Marijuana Users - Million Voices
The Supreme Court ruled unanimously last week that a federal gun ban cannot be used to prosecute a Texas marijuana user. The decision in United States v. Hemani marks a major moment for Second Amendment rights.
Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote the opinion for the court. He found that the law, as applied to Ali Danial Hemani, violated his right to keep and bear arms.
The case centered on a 1968 federal law known as the Gun Control Act. That law makes it a crime for any “unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance” to possess a firearm. (Read more)

3. MLB Warns Giants Players Over Bible Verses - Million Voices
Major League Baseball is facing sharp backlash after warning three San Francisco Giants players for writing Bible verses on their Pride Night caps. Critics say the league applied a double standard, pointing to its open support for Black Lives Matter messaging in 2020.
The dispute centers on pitchers Landen Roupp, JT Brubaker, and Ryan Walker. During a Friday game against the Chicago Cubs, the three players wrote “Gen 9:12-16” on their rainbow-themed caps in white lettering.
That passage from Genesis 9:12-16 refers to God’s covenant with Noah after the flood, marked by a rainbow. The verses describe the rainbow as a promise between God and every living creature. (Read more)

Father, we lift up these three men who had the courage to write Your Word on their caps and stand firm in their faith. You are the Author of truth, and no league, institution, or cultural pressure can silence what You have declared. Stir boldness in the hearts of believers across this nation, in locker rooms, boardrooms, and every public square. Where there is a double standard, let it be exposed. Where religious freedom is threatened, raise up advocates who will not back down. May Your Word always have a place in the open, and may those who carry it never be ashamed. In Jesus' name, Amen.

4. Reactions and warnings pouring in after wave of socialists oust Democrats - DML News
Reactions are pouring in after a huge wave of socialists won their elections in New York’s primary elections on Tuesday, winning seats in both state government and U.S. Congress, and ousting more traditional Democrats.
President Donald Trump reacted in a post on Truth Social, writing, “Many Communists running in badly failing Blue States. The votes seem to have them doing quite well against each other. The bad news is that history has conclusively shown that the downtrodden States that they will soon be running will ONLY GET WORSE. MAGA! President DJT.”
Podcaster Stephen A. Smith, a Democrat, claimed that the socialists won’t get very far, as he insisted that’s not what the Democratic Party is about. He acknowledged NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s influence, but insisted this movement has no chance on a national basis.
CNN correspondent Van Jones said in a CNN appearance, “This is a battle between the establishment and this insurgency, and the roof is collapsing on the Democratic Party establishment tonight.” (Read more here)

Mighty God, we declare complete failure to this socialist agenda, in Jesus' name. We repudiate every socialist / communist agenda that is being pushed upon this nation by certain leaders and by many in the media, and we speak out against it, in the authority of children of Almighty God. We forgive them and pray for them to find their way to You, Lord Jesus, but may they never rule over our nation, in Jesus' name.
"Do you not fear Me?' says the Lord. 'Will you not tremble at My presence, Who have placed the sand as the bound of the sea, By a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass beyond it? 5. Mamdani thanks ‘Allah’ for more socialists winning in NY, cheers socialist winner who converted to Islam - DML News
Mamdani was speaking at a victory party for socialist Daraliza Avila Chevalier, 32, a community organizer who has called for abolishing borders, prisons and police, and defeated incumbent Democrat Rep. Adriano Espaillat.
“I have stood next to Darializa and said ‘Our Next Congresswoman’ and I’ve said these words in the way many of us will say Inshallah,” Mamdani gloated.
Chevalier is now one step closer to being a member of U.S. Congress, as she is likely to win the General Election in November. Breitbart posted a video of Chevalier and noted she has converted to Islam. 6. Biden judge torches Trump ICE crackdown as ‘devoid of rational explanation,’ nukes courthouse arrest policy - Fox News
A federal judge who has repeatedly blocked the Trump administration's immigration policies dealt another blow Tuesday, striking down rules that expanded courthouse arrests and prolonged detention in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) holding facilities.
In a 71-page decision, U.S. District Judge P. Casey Pitts, who was nominated by former President Joe Biden, struck down the policies after finding that ICE and the Justice Department's Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) did not provide the reasoned explanation required under the Administrative Procedure Act.
The ruling continues a pattern of Pitts intervening against Trump administration immigration policies. Earlier this year, he blocked an ICE initiative that would have allowed the agency to rearrest migrants it had previously released. In another case, he ordered sweeping changes at a San Francisco ICE detention facility, citing overcrowding and conditions he found likely violated constitutional standards. (Read more here)

Lord, we pray for each and every judge that is acting based upon an agenda versus on the law and our Constitution. We pray they would choose to uphold righteousness in this land, in the name of Jesus. Stupidocrisy: The Hate Just Keeps on Coming
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, June 24, 2026
Political disagreement has always been part of the American experience. What has become increasingly common, however, among Democratic officeholders and leaders is the replacement of disagreement with personal destruction. The latest examples came in rapid succession. Former Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean compared supporters of President Donald Trump and the MAGA movement to followers of Adolf Hitler. Former Obama advisor David Axelrod declared that Trump's statements about election integrity were "a sin on our country." Maine Democratic Senate nominee Graham Platner described Trump as "certainly the worst person to have ever run for office."
The language grows harsher, the accusations become more extreme, and the volume continues to increase. The pattern is familiar: opponents are no longer viewed as fellow Americans with differing views, but as existential threats who must be defeated at all costs. This style of politics creates a dangerous cycle. Americans hear words like "Hitler," "threat to democracy," "fascist," "criminal," and "enemy" thrown around so casually that genuine debate gets buried beneath emotional outrage. Citizens who simply want secure borders, economic stability, safer communities, affordable energy, or fiscal responsibility become caricatures in a political narrative. The result is a political culture that rewards outrage and punishes reason. The temperature rises while solutions become harder to find. Read More

Mamdani-Backed Candidates Win New York House Primaries
|
|
|
|
NEW YORK CITY—All three candidates endorsed by New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani won their closely-watched House primary races on Tuesday, handing the democratic socialist a victory in his bid to move his party more to the left.
On the job for fewer than six months, the mayor waded into three congressional primary races, backing democratic socialists and progressives against more established Democrats.
Mamdani-endorsed former New York City Comptroller Brad Lander defeated Rep. Dan Goldman, whose seat spans lower Manhattan and part of Brooklyn.
In the race to succeed retiring Rep. Nydia Velázquez, Mandami-endorsed Assemblymember Claire Valdez, a self-described democratic socialist, beat Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso, who was backed by Velázquez.
Rep. Adriano Espaillat, 71, was defeated by Mamdani-backed Darializa Avila Chevalier, 32, a democratic socialist.
Mamdani’s endorsements had put him at odds with other prominent New York Democrats. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul endorsed Espaillat and campaigned alongside Goldman.
In these solidly blue districts, primary elections are highly competitive, with the Democratic contender expected to win easily in November. (The Epoch Times) Read more here.

Lord God,
We pray for a turnaround in the United States of America, away from the Socialistic, Islamic ideas that the enemy has brought to our nation. It grieves our spirit, Lord, that all three candidates -- democratic socialists and progressives -- were endorsed by New York City's Mayor Zohran Mamdani, and then won their closely watched primary elections on Tuesday. This election has moved his party more to the left and away from You.
As this Muslim, socialist mayor, Mamdani, rejoices over these victories, we pray Father that You intervene in the affairs of New York City and ask that You give Mamdani a lesson in humility by the power of Your hand!
We pray for protection over the Christians and Jews in New York City as we wait for the judgment that will come from Your throne room in heaven when righteousness overtakes this darkness. In the name of Yeshua, we offer this prayer, Amen and Amen.
"He will give justice to the poor and make fair decisions for the exploited. The earth will shake at the force of His word, and one breath from His mouth will destroy the wicked." (Isaiah 11:4)
> > > A note from the editor: when we wrote this Scripture, we were not aware that
there had been a huge earthquake off the coast of northern California, measuring
5.9 on the Richter Scale. Clearly, "the earth IS shaking at the force of His word!"
Amen!

Texas Judge Who Refused to Officiate Same-Sex Weddings Wins $640K Legal Victory
|

|
|
A Texas judge who was disciplined for declining to officiate same-sex weddings because of her religious beliefs has secured a legal victory, receiving a $10,000 settlement and more than $630,000 in attorneys’ fees as similar litigation involving judges across the state continues.
First Liberty Institute announced Friday that a Travis County district court awarded the settlement to Judge Dianne Hensley, a Waco-based judge, who was sanctioned by the Texas Commission on Judicial Conduct after declining to perform same-sex weddings.
The court’s ruling, issued June 16, not only awarded Hensley the maximum compensatory damages allowed under the Texas Religious Freedom Restoration Act but also barred the commission from “investigating, sanctioning, or disciplining” Hensley for refusing to officiate same-sex weddings because of her religious beliefs, regardless of whether she continues to perform marriages for opposite-sex couples.
“Judge Hensley always adhered to the law and the legal guidance provided by the attorney general of Texas,” said First Liberty Institute Executive General Counsel Hiram Sasser. “We are grateful that this case has concluded and that Judge Hensley was vindicated.”
First Liberty added, “To ensure that all residents of McLennan County have access to low-cost wedding ceremonies, Judge Hensley compiled a referral list of local wedding officiants that would perform same-sex ceremonies at her price.”
The legal group said Hensley received no public complaints. Nevertheless, the Texas Commission on Judicial Conduct issued a public warning accusing her of violating the Texas Code of Judicial Conduct. (The Washington Stand) Read more here.

Almighty God,
We rejoice with You, that Judge Diane Hensley, a Waco Texas judge, who was disciplined for declining to officiate same-sex weddings because of her religious beliefs has now been vindicated! Hallelujah!
First Liberty Institute announced Friday that a Travis County, Texas, district court awarded a huge settlement to Judge Hensley.
God, we pray that all judges who are being faced with litigations concerning same sex marriages, would all be victorious as they too have victory.
Thank You, Father, that the Texas Supreme Court approved adding new language to the Texas Code of Judicial Conduct clarifying that "it is not a violation of these canons for a judge to publicly refrain from performing a wedding ceremony based on sincerely held religious beliefs."
Lord, we pray for victory in the class action lawsuits against the Texas Commision, seeking damages for the tens of millions of dollars for income lost by these justices of the peace because they were not willing to perform same-sex marriages. Vindicate these justices, Lord, for standing on the side of righteousness. We humbly offer this prayer, In Jesus name. Amen.
"Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity, And I have trusted in the Lord without wavering." (Psalm 26:1)
"May those who delight in my vindication shout for joy and gladness; may they always say,"The Lord be exalted, Who delights in the well being of His servant." (Psalm 35:27)

Some injuries reported after magnitude 5.6 earthquake rattles Northern California
|

|
A magnitude 5.6 earthquake shook Northern California on Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Since then, officials have stated that some injuries have been reported.
A ShakeAlert notification went off on many people's phones, alerting them to a magnitude 6.0 tremor reported in Mendocino County at 8:10 a.m.
As of 8:16 a.m., USGS updated the strength of the shake to 5.6, about 6.8 miles north of Redwood Valley. While the information is still preliminary, some people as far away as Modesto have reported feeling the earthquake.
According to USGS, the quake had a depth of about 5 miles.
Mendocino County officials are encouraging people to stay off major roadways to allow for Caltrans, PG&E and county workers to perform damage inspection and repairs.
At 8:17 a.m., a magnitude 2.5 aftershock was reported. At 9:06 a.m., two more aftershocks were reported.
Gov. Gavin Newsom's press office announced it is aware of the earthquake and is closely coordinating with emergency officials and assessing potential impacts and damage. The agency said nearly 657,000 earthquake alerts were sent through the MyShake app.
The Mendocino County Sheriff's Office is assessing any damage. Cal Fire's Howard Forest Emergency Command Center has not received any reports of damage so far.
As of 9:55 a.m., more than 8,000 utility customers are without power in Mendocino County. The cause of the outages is unknown. In response to the outages, Pacific Gas & Electric Co. said it is executing a plan it has in place for responding to earthquakes.
PG&E said that earlier, there were up to 10,000 customers without power. The utility said it will inspect its system for any potential damage before restoring power. It said there has been no damage reported to any of its facilities, gas system or generating assets. (KRCA; Sacramento, CA) Read more here.

Lord God, we are grateful to know that no one was killed or severely injured in this quake. We thank You, too, that according to this report, the utility companies in the State of California are well equipped to monitor earthquake activity, and have responded accordingly with this episode. We ask the You continue to keep all who live in the State of California safe now, and in the days to come, in Your Name, Holy One, amen and amen!
"God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear,
Even though the earth be removed,
And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though its waters roar and be troubled,
Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah
The Lord of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our refuge."
(Psalm 46:1-3;7)

Stonehenge breakthrough reveals surprising path behind ancient stone’s 450-mile trek
|
|

Glaciers may have moved stone as far as Dogger Bank in North Sea, computer modeling shows.
|
|
|
For centuries, historians and archaeologists have debated how Stonehenge was built — and now researchers believe they may have finally traced one piece of the landmark's complex journey.
The monument, which sits on the Salisbury Plain near Amesbury, Wiltshire, was constructed in stages beginning around 3000 B.C., according to English Heritage, the organization that manages Stonehenge.
New research focuses on Stonehenge's Altar Stone, which sits near the center of the monument and has long been debated among scholars, news agency SWNS reported.
Work by researchers from Curtin University in Perth, Australia, suggests the stone originated in northeast Scotland and reached southern England through a combination of glacial movement and human transport.
Using geological analysis and ice-sheet modeling, researchers found that glaciers may have carried the stone as far as Dogger Bank in the North Sea, or roughly 200 miles.
Prehistoric people then likely transported it to its current site in Wiltshire, another 250 miles away — a feat that researchers said required "tremendous determination." (Fox News) Read More
