Ohio pastor-turned-lawmaker seeks to pass Charlie Kirk American Heritage Act
|

|
An Ohio state lawmaker who spent years as a Baptist pastor before winning election to the state legislature is pushing a bill that would require public schools to teach the positive impact of “Judeo-Christian” values on American history, naming the legislation after the late conservative Christian activist Charlie Kirk. Gary Click, a 60-year-old Republican serving his third term in the Ohio House after serving as pastor of Fremont Baptist Temple, drafted the Charlie Kirk American Heritage Act, or Ohio House Bill 486, and shepherded it through that chamber.
It is now before the state Senate. The bill seeks to authorize teachers in public schools and instructors at state institutions of higher education to provide instruction on the positive impacts of religion on American history, without making it mandatory. It lists roughly two dozen examples of religion’s role in American civic life, from references to divine power in the Declaration of Independence and the religious affiliations of its signers to the influence of the evangelist Billy Graham.
The legislation includes 20 historical topics that may be covered, from the Pilgrims’ organization as a church and the religious implications of the Mayflower Compact to Benjamin Franklin’s appeal for prayer at the Constitutional Convention. It also lists the role of the Ten Commandments in shaping American law, and the influence of religion on the civil rights movement through figures including Booker T. Washington, Frederick Douglass, and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Kirk, who built a national platform advocating for conservative education reform and was an occasional confidant of President Trump, backed the bill before his assassination last September, according to Foreign Policy Journal. Trump Says Talks With Iran Continue, Announces Israel, Lebanon Ceasefire
|

President Donald Trump said Monday that talks with Iran continue after announcing a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.
The president made the announcements in a pair of Truth Social posts.
“Talks are continuing, at a rapid pace, with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” he wrote.
In a separate post moments earlier, he said that Israel and Hezbollah have agreed not to attack one another following calls with both sides.
“I had a very productive call with Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, of Israel, and there will be no Troops going to Beirut, and any Troops that are on their way, have already been turned back,” he said.
“Likewise, through highly placed Representatives, I had a very good call with Hezbollah, and they agreed that all shooting will stop — That Israel will not attack them, and they will not attack Israel,” he added. (Breitbart) Read more here.

Father God, we thank You that our nation and Israel are enduring partners in these
end times. We ask that You would grace both P.M. Netanyahu and President Trump

Trump Admin Forgoes Gay Pride Propaganda Second Year in a Row

The Trump administration is giving the American people what they want in the lead-up to the big 250th birthday celebration and is ignoring pride month — a once unruly, secular celebration beloved by the Biden administration and radical left.
Americans came to a breaking point during the Biden administration — specifically, in the summer of 2023, when the Biden administration went all in on “pride” month and Americans were horrified to see a topless transgender activist at the White House pride event, while corporate queering ran amok. The Biden administration made sure to let everyone know that it valued “pride” and did so every year, making a huge deal of it on social media. The Department of Education, Department of Labor, Department of Transportation, Department of Agriculture, HHS, and more under Biden proudly celebrated, deeming opposition “bigotry” and “hatred.”
Almost all of them posted the “progress pride” flag — which includes extra colors for minorities and transgender individuals — on social media and said something about “pride.” Not only that, but federal agencies would also often change their profile picture to go with the theme of pride month, making it virtually inescapable. Americans were to acknowledge it, and whether they liked it or not the standard had been set.

Thomas unloads on Court for helping convicted murderer but ignoring 'law-abiding citizens'

Thomas pointed to cases involving race, free speech and military families the Court declined to hear

Justice Clarence Thomas, joined by Justice Samuel Alito, accused the Supreme Court of focusing on the wrong cases after the justices vacated a lower-court ruling in a Florida murder case over what he described as an "inconsequential foot fault" that would have had "no effect on the outcome of the case."
Thomas argued that Gary Whitton's bid for a new trial based on false testimony from a prosecution witness would not have changed the outcome because the evidence against the Florida death row inmate was overwhelming. But the overarching point of his dissent was a rebuke of the Court's priorities. He pointed to cases involving race, free speech and military families that the justices declined to hear as examples of disputes he believed were more deserving of the Court's attention.
"It is unfortunate that the Court chose to intervene at the request of a convicted murderer to correct the Eleventh Circuit's inconsequential foot fault," Thomas wrote in his dissent. "What makes it even worse is that the Court does so even while it refuses to correct far more consequential errors for law-abiding citizens." (Fox News) Read more here.

Mighty God, we praise You for the ability of Justice Clarence Thomas and Justice Samuel Alito to bring to light issues that are of vital importance that the Supreme Court must properly address and reconcile on behalf of the nation. We pray for their words to activate repentance on behalf of the other justices who seem to be going along to get along rather than standing strong for clarity and justice, in Jesus's name. We also pray for each co-equal branch of our government to fully pick up the mantle they have been given and walk with integrity or step aside, in the name of Jesus.
"'For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, if you thoroughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbor, if you do not oppress the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place, or walk after other gods to your hurt, then I will cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers forever and ever.'" US considers deploying nuclear weapons in new countries
|

The US is discussing whether to deploy nuclear weapons in additional European NATO countries, in a move intended to reassure allies that reduced conventional military support does not weaken security guarantees, the British newspaper Financial Times reported today.
US officials have indicated openness to deploying additional weapons beyond the six existing countries that host nuclear-capable bombers, three people briefed on the matter told the British newspaper.
The talks, which are highly classified and may not lead to changes in nuclear weapons-sharing arrangements, come amid broad concern in Europe over Donald Trump's moves to withdraw US troops and critical weapons systems from the continent.
The move could allow additional countries to host American dual-capable aircraft, which are capable of carrying out nuclear strikes. Two of the people said the willingness to discuss expansion was meant to demonstrate the US commitment to providing a nuclear umbrella even as NATO allies were forced to shoulder more of the burden of conventional defense.
Countries on NATO's eastern flank, including Poland and several Baltic states, have expressed interest in hosting dual-capable aircraft bases, the sources said. Polish officials have spoken particularly publicly about their desire to host nuclear weapons. Former President Andrzej Duda called on the US to expand the dual-capable aircraft initiative to Polish soil, while Warsaw joined a new French initiative this year to examine the possibility of temporarily transferring parts of France's nuclear deterrent to allied European countries.
Discussions are continuing through NATO channels, said one person familiar with the talks, adding that the allies closest to Russia's borders had shown the greatest interest. Russia's invasion of Ukraine and Russian President Vladimir Putin's repeated remarks about the Kremlin's nuclear capabilities have fueled interest among some allies in hosting dual-capable aircraft, the person added. God of Peace, we pray for the amplification of nuclear ambitions to be neutralized, in Jesus's name. We see that many countries are becoming concerned about tyrant nations that have built nuclear weapons over the years who seem to be indicating a willingness to use them. We pray for the strength and wisdom of our military and President Trump and his team to know how to hold back the increasing threats against those more vulnerable, in Jesus's name. Father, we ask that the massive complex of China would be paralyzed and the threats spewed by Russia and Iran would backfire on them. We pray also for the smaller nuclear nations like North Korea and Pakistan / India all to grow a conscience greater than the quest for power, so that this earth can find stability without such destruction, Jesus, in Your mighty name. Amen.

1. Israel-Lebanon talks resume, Hezbollah keeps fighting in violation of agreement with Trump - report - Jerusalem Post
During talks between Israel and Lebanon on Tuesday, senior members of the Israeli delegation said that Hezbollah did not stop fighting, despite promising US President Donald Trump to do so on Monday.
Delegations from both Lebanon and Israel met at the US State Department on Tuesday to begin a scheduled two-day resumption of negotiations.
Members of the Israeli delegation also said that Hezbollah publicly rejected the equation of a ceasefire in southern Lebanon in exchange for a ceasefire in northern Israel.

Israel kept up strikes on southern Lebanon on Tuesday, pressing its campaign against Hezbollah a day after US President Donald Trump asked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to attack Beirut to avert further escalation in the three-month-old war.
Following Trump’s intervention, Lebanon‘s government said Israel would refrain from carrying out threatened strikes on the Hezbollah-controlled southern suburbs of Beirut, while the Iran-backed terrorist group would halt attacks against Israel.

Members of the UN Security Council held an emergency meeting on Lebanon on Monday, where officials blamed Hezbollah for continued hostilities while also calling on Israel to withdraw its forces from Lebanese territory.
The meeting was convened at the request of France, which cited escalating violence in Lebanon, according to a statement from the French Foreign Ministry.
Addressing the council, United Nations Assistant Secretary-General Martha Pobee said Israel’s military operations in Lebanon violate the country’s territorial integrity and conflict with the 2006 Security Council resolution that calls for Israel’s withdrawal south of the UN-demarcated border. 2. 'What a coincidence': Ballots BURNED and voting center VANDALIZED in Los Angeles right before high-profile election- WND
With Election Day Tuesday in California, officials in Los Angeles are investigating two separate incidents involving the burning of ballots and vandalism to a voting center in America's largest county.
Government officials announced that on Sunday morning, "vandalism was discovered at the Vote Center at Cesar E. Chavez Park. Election workers and officials responded immediately, and voting operations were not disrupted."
"Separately, during routine ballot collection procedures … staff identified a limited number of Vote by Mail ballots that appeared to have sustained fire-related damage inside an Official Ballot Drop Box at the Department of Public Social Services-Civic Center."

Secretary of State Marco Rubio got into an epic clash Tuesday with U.S. Sen. Jacky Rosen, D-Nev., who claimed he was attending a party in Miami when he should have been negotiating in Pakistan to help end the conflict with Iran.
Rubio then forcefully told Rosen: "You're 100% inaccurate and 100% wrong. Here's why. Number one, the vice president of the United States was there … Mr. Witkoff is the president's envoy for negotiation for peace deals. Mr. Kushner is a private citizen that serves as an adviser on these functions. They were the team that we sent to Pakistan. I was not at a party. Where I was is next to the president."

Holy King, we ask You to continue cleaning out the liars, thieves and accusers from our Congress, in Jesus's name. We pray for every single one to be tripped up on their wickedness and brought to their knees in repentance by You, Holy One. We know that the first lies and loud accusations are the ones that usually land in the memory of most people, but we are asking for that to come to an end. 4. Top CEOs brace for downturn, warn US economy will worsen in next 6 months- Fox Business
Corporate leadership across America has seemingly lost faith in the current trajectory of the U.S. economy, swinging sharply from optimism to pessimism in just three months.
The Conference Board Measure of CEO Confidence, in collaboration with The Business Council, conducted its quarterly survey of 141 CEOs and found that the overall score fell to 47 in Q2 from 59 in Q1. Any reading below 50 means negative outlooks outnumber positive ones.
Only 15% of CEOs say the economy is better than six months ago, down from 39% in Q1, while 47% say it's worse, up from 8%.
Additionally, 40% of respondents expect economic conditions to worsen over the next six months, compared to 13% who felt that way last quarter. (Read more)

Ebola, Fear, and the Next Vaccine Push

Nowadays, there seems to be a vaccine in development for nearly every ailment known to mankind. Some are aimed at deadly diseases, some at seasonal illnesses, and some at threats that may or may not become widespread. Breitbart reported that an international disease-response group says an Ebola vaccine for the current outbreak could be developed within 100 days. The current concern is Bundibugyo Ebola, a strain for which there is no approved vaccine. Ebola is deadly, terrifying, and real. That makes it a serious health concern. It also makes it a powerful tool for fear-driven policy when governments, global health agencies, media, and pharmaceutical interests all begin moving in the same direction.
The question is whether Ebola’s fear factor could produce another COVID-style panic, where emergency becomes permission, and permission becomes coercion. COVID taught the world how fast “recommended” can become “required,” how quickly dissent can be branded dangerous, and how easily conscience, employment, travel, worship, education, and medical choice can be pressured by decree. AP reported Congo has already restricted gatherings because of the outbreak, while WHO officials warn of spread and limited containment capacity. Public-health officials have a duty to respond to deadly disease. Citizens also have a duty to remember that emergencies have been used to expand authority, silence questions, and pressure people into medical decisions they would have otherwise refused. Read More

Iran's Pezeshkian said to offer resignation over growing IRGC influence

An anonymous official told Iran International that the letter had called out the fact that Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had effectively taken over large portions of the government.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian sent a letter to Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei's office submitting his resignation, London-based anti-regime outlet Iran International reported on Sunday.
An anonymous official told Iran International that the letter had called out the fact that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had effectively taken over large portions of the government, and that the president and other high-ranking officials had been cut out of vital decision-making.
Pezeshkian, the letter emphasized, was unable to run the government or fulfill his responsibilities under the circumstances, and as such, requested to resign.
Anonymous sources told Iran International that the primary source of the differences between Pezeshkian and the head of the IRGC, who is believed to currently hold the lion's share of power in the regime, was "the way the war was managed and its destructive consequences on the people's livelihoods and the country's economy."
Khamenei hidden in secret location
Last week, US officials revealed to CBS that Khamenei is hidden in a secret location with little access to the outside world, only reachable through a "labyrinth" of couriers.

We ask for You to continue giving Iranian officials the courage to speak out, and that President Trump will be able to leverage the information in the peace talks. We ask for Your perfect will to be accomplished as these 2 countries try to find a way to peace that will satisfy all involved. We ask this in the name El Shaddai, the God who has ultimate power over all things.

Iran's IRGC-affiliated Tasnim News Agency reported on Monday that the Islamic regime had called for talks with the US to cease over Israeli military action in Lebanon.

US President Donald Trump denied reports that talks between the United States and Iran have stalled, calling them "false and erroneous" in a Truth Social post on Monday.
"The conversations between us have been going on continuously," said Trump, "including four days ago, three days ago, two days ago, one day ago, and today."
Trump added that it was "time, one way or another, for you [Iran] to make a Deal."
"You’ve been doing this for 47 years, and it cannot be allowed to go on any longer!"
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)-affiliated Tasnim News Agency reported on Monday that the Islamic regime had called for talks with the US to cease over Israeli military action in Lebanon.
"The immediate cessation of the Zionist regime's aggressive and brutal army operations in Gaza and Lebanon and the necessity of the regime’s complete withdrawal from the occupied areas in Lebanon have been emphasized by Iranian officials and negotiators, and there will be no talks until Iran and the resistance's views on this matter are met," said Tasnim.
In addition, Iran threatened to block both the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, adding that talks would not resume until its demands were met. Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi terrorist group has previously attacked ships attempting to transit the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, which borders Yemen at the south of the Red Sea. Lawsuit Seeks to Block Virginia’s Radical Abortion Amendment

A legal challenge to Virginia’s proposed abortion amendment is raising new questions about how abortion-related ballot measures are presented to voters. Pro-life organizations and medical groups argue that the amendment’s language obscures its full implications and could dramatically reshape abortion policy in the Commonwealth if approved this November.

Physicians and citizens are challenging the so-called “Right to Reproductive Freedom Amendment” through a lawsuit filed in Tazewell County Court, the same court that overturned Democrats’ attempt to illegally gerrymander this spring. The plaintiffs, the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, Virginia Medical Freedom Alliance, and Meagan Kade, a councilwoman from Bluefield, Va., cite manipulative language and procedural issues, requesting the court void the results of the special election.
Considered one of the most extreme in the nation, the expansive amendment would effectively remove parental notification prior to a minor’s abortion, allow unlicensed “persons” to perform abortions without penalty, eliminate basic health and safety requirements at abortion facilities, and legalize abortion until birth in the Commonwealth.

The ballot measure asks whether the state’s Constitution should be amended to “protect the freedom to make personal decisions about prenatal care, childbirth, postpartum care, birth control, abortion, miscarriage management, and fertility care,” “protect doctors, nurses, and patients from being punished for these decisions,” and “allow for restrictions on access to abortion during the third trimester of pregnancy except when the patient’s health is at risk or the pregnancy cannot survive?” (IFA and the Federalist)

Around 180 years after Sir John Franklin's doomed expedition to find the Northwest Passage ended in disaster, researchers have identified four additional crew members through DNA analysis.
The new research, shedding light on one of history's most infamous Arctic tragedies, was led by researchers at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.
The identified remains include William Orren, Able Seaman; David Young, Boy 1st Class; John Bridgens, Subordinate Officers' Steward; and Harry Peglar, Captain of the Foretop on HMS Terror.
Franklin, a British explorer, brought 129 officers and crew members aboard HMS Erebus and HMS Terror in 1845 in an attempt to chart the Northwest Passage.
The vessels became trapped in ice near King William Island in Nunavut in September 1846 — and Franklin died in 1847. (Fox News) Read More
