Thousands Turn to Christ as Massive Franklin Graham Event Reaches 90,000
|
|
Franklin Graham preached the gospel to 90,000 people in Lima, Peru, over the weekend, and thousands made commitments to give their lives to Jesus Christ as a result.
The historic "Esperanza Lima" outreach was held in the country's National Stadium, which the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) reports was "packed from wall to wall" for two nights straight on Saturday and Sunday.
The hunger for God was so strong that thousands of people who couldn't get inside still lined the streets outside to hear Rev. Graham share the hope-filled message of the Gospel.
BGEA deployed 600 free buses each night to help people with limited means get to the stadium. The ministry partnered with more than 2,400 churches in Lima to conduct the massive outreach effort.
The event featured award-winning Christian music artists Charity Gayle, The Afters, Christine D'Clario, and the Jahaziel Band. And Rev. Graham preached a clear gospel message, declaring, "I've come for a reason, and that is to share truth. Jesus said, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life.' Iran may be activating sleeper cells outside the country, alert says
|
|
The U.S. has intercepted encrypted communications believed to have originated in Iran that may serve as "an operational trigger" for "sleeper assets" outside the country, according to a federal government alert sent to law enforcement agencies.
The alert, reviewed by ABC News, cites "preliminary signals analysis" of a transmission "likely of Iranian origin" that was relayed across multiple countries shortly after the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Khamenei, the supreme leader of Iran, was killed in a U.S.-Israeli attack on Feb. 28.
The intercepted transmission was encoded and appeared to be destined for "clandestine recipients" who possess the encryption key, the kind of message intended to impart instructions to "covert operatives or sleeper assets" without the use of the internet or cellular networks.
It's possible the transmissions could "be intended to activate or provide instructions to prepositioned sleeper assets operating outside the originating country," the alert said.
"While the exact contents of these transmissions cannot currently be determined, the sudden appearance of a new station with international rebroadcast characteristics warrants heightened situational awareness," the alert said. (ABC News) Read more here.
While the alert is careful to say there is "no operational threat tied to a specific location," it does instruct law enforcement agencies to increase their monitoring of suspicious radio-frequency activity.
If the contents of the alert prove true, it would confirm the fears expressed by law enforcement officials after the U.S. and Israel struck Iran that sleeper cells deployed around the West could be used for retaliation. (ABC News) Read more here,

Trump Says War in Iran Is ‘Very Complete,’ Far Ahead of Schedule
|

President Donald Trump on Monday said that the U.S.-Israeli operation against Iran is “very complete,” giving an indication that the one-week-long war is coming to an end soon.
“I think the war is very complete, pretty much,” Trump told Weijia Jiang, CBS’s senior White House correspondent. “They have no navy, no communications, they’ve got no Air Force,” he said, according to Jiang.
The CBS reporter also asked Trump whether he had a comment for Iran’s new leader Mojtaba Khamenei, who was named by the regime over the past weekend. Trump stated, “I have no message for him. None, whatsoever.”

Mojtaba’s father, former Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, was killed in one of the first strikes launched against Iran more than a week ago.
Trump said the United States is “very far” ahead of the initial four-to-five week estimated timetable, and said that the administration is considering taking over the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic waterway that provides the only passage from the Persian Gulf to the ocean.
“They’ve shot everything they have to shoot, and they better not try anything cute, or it’s going to be the end of that country,” Trump told CBS, referring to Iran’s military.

Trump Vows Harsher Strikes on Iran If It Disrupts Global Oil Supply

DORAL, Fla.—President Donald Trump has said if Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) continues to threaten commercial shipping in the Hormuz Strait with missiles and drones, or by laying mines in the key waterway, the United States’ air and naval forces will intensify their Operation Epic Fury assaults.
“I will not allow a terrorist regime to hold the world hostage and attempt to stop the globe’s oil supply,” the U.S. president said in a March 9 press conference at his golf resort near Miami, where he met with House Republicans.
“If Iran does anything to [block the strait], they'll get hit at a much, much harder level,” Trump said, adding the United States is not targeting Iran’s energy-production infrastructure to avoid economically crippling the nation when the conflict is over. “We’re not looking to do that if we don’t have to. House GOP fears primary losers could jeopardize razor-thin majority

Some House Republicans are getting worried over the prospect of colleagues quiet-quitting after losing their primary races as election season heats up, threatening to whittle down the GOP's already perilously slim majority.
House Republicans will likely only be able to lose two votes on any party-line measure after a special election in a deep-red Georgia district this week.
Some told Fox News Digital they're worried, however, that their colleagues could begin missing key votes before the end of their terms if their ambitions for higher office do not go as planned.
"It's a real problem," one House Republican who was granted anonymity to speak candidly told Fox News Digital. "Is one of them going to be gone for his runoff? Will another not come back at all because he's mad? Is another one not going to come back because he lost?"
Asked if such absences could translate to Republicans losing a functional majority in the House, that GOP lawmaker said, "We could, that's why everybody's nervous about it." (Fox News) Read much more here.

Lord God, although we deeply respect the actions and statements made by the Republicans who now serve in the House of Representatives, we do not agree with statements that doubt the outcome of the coming midterm elections. Father God, it is way too soon to make any predictions of the outcome of these elections, but as believers, we simply wait upon You, pray much in the Spirit, and undergird each of these members with Your strength as they await the results of this election in November.

Iran threatens to assassinate Trump
|

A senior Iranian official pushed back on President Donald Trump’s warning that the United States could escalate attacks on Iran if the Islamic Republic attempts to close the Strait of Hormuz, issuing a veiled threat against the American commander in chief.
On Tuesday, Ali Larijani, the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council who is widely believed to have served as Iran’s de facto head of state since the targeted killing of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on February 28, took to social media to respond to comments by President Trump a day earlier.
Writing on X, Larijani posted a screenshot of recent comments by Trump on the Truth Social platform, warning that if Iran tries to shut down the Strait of Hormuz, US attacks on Iran would increase twentyfold.
“We will take out easily destroyable targets that will make it virtually impossible for Iran to ever be built back, as a Nation, again – Death, Fire, and Fury will reign upon them,” Trump wrote.
Larijani fired back that Iran does not take Trump’s “hollow threats” seriously, while hinting that the president himself could be assassinated.
“The Iranian people do not fear your hollow threats,” Larijani wrote. “Those greater than you failed to erase them. So, beware lest it is you who are eliminated.”

2. Israeli officials expect Iran war to last at least two more weeks, pessimistic about regime change - YNET News
The early euphoria surrounding the launch of Operation Roaring Lion has given way to frustration and growing pessimism in Israel, as officials increasingly doubt the chances of regime change in Iran.
At the start of the war, one of the objectives discussed in Israel was the possibility of toppling the Iranian regime. But officials now say the leadership in Tehran appears stable, the idea of a Kurdish-led ground incursion has been shelved, and those taking to the streets are not regime opponents but members of the Basij militia.
Judging by remarks from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier Tuesday, Israeli leaders are also preparing the public for the possibility that the war will not end with the fall of the ayatollahs’ regime. (Read more)

3. Cyber Authority: Over 1000 Iranian phishing calls detected - Israel National News
Since the beginning of Operation Roaring Lion, Israel’s National Cyber Authority says its 119 emergency hotline has received around 1,300 reports from citizens about suspicious calls and text messages designed to spread fear or trick people into revealing personal information.
According to the directorate, about 77% of the incidents are phishing attempts. The messages and calls often aim to manipulate the public into clicking malicious links, sharing personal details, or reacting to intimidating content meant to harm public morale.
Every report is reviewed and investigated by the directorate’s teams in an effort to identify the source of the activity and stop further distribution.
Officials noted a rise in suspicious phone calls over the past week, frequently coming from unknown or foreign numbers. Some calls disconnect quickly, while others attempt to pressure recipients into taking a specific action, visiting a website, or providing sensitive information. (Read more)

1. All eyes on Georgia as Trump-backed candidate battles in high-stakes congressional showdown - Fox News
It's Primary Day in Republican-dominated Mississippi, where House and Senate nomination contests are being held in the Deep South state.
But a special congressional election 200 miles to the east in battleground Georgia to fill a vacant GOP-held congressional seat will likely grab much more national attention Tuesday.
The race is to fill the seat in Georgia's solidly red 14th Congressional District — in the northwest part of the state — left vacant when MAGA firebrand Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene stepped down at the beginning of January. Greene quit Congress with a year left in her term, after a very public falling out with President Donald Trump.
And the special election is being held as Republicans cling to a razor-thin 218–214 majority in the House. 2. Mainstream Media Ignored Gabbard’s Stark Warning on Islamist Ideology - Daily Signal
America’s mainstream media mostly ignored Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard’s detailed warning about the growing threat of Islamization in the United States, which was issued a few days before Christmas last year during a Turning Point USA event.

3. Counter-protester lights explosive amid anti-Mamdani protest, utters 'Allahu Akbar' — but NYC mayor rips 'bigotry and racism' - The Blaze
A counter-protester lit what police said was an explosive device during a protest Saturday against Mayor Zohran Mamdani in New York City. The counter-protester also was caught on video uttering "Allahu Akbar" as police were arresting him.
New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch on Sunday announced that the device was real — not a hoax device or smoke bomb, WNYW reported.
"It is, in fact, an improvised explosive device that could have caused serious injury or death," Tisch said on X.
“Based on preliminary examination and X-ray imaging, the devices, which were a bit smaller than a football, appear to be a jar wrapped in black tape, importantly, with nuts, bolts, and screws along with a hobby fuse that could be lit,” Tisch added. (Read more)

4. 'Dangerous': Appeals court sends message to anti-Trump judges by slapping down 'constitutionally suspect' ruling - WND
A federal appeals court has sent a message to anti-Trump district court judges across the nation by slapping down what it called a "constitutionally suspect" attempt by Judge Sara Ellis, who was appointed by Barack Obama, to hamstring President Donald Trump.
The appeals court said Ellis was being "constitutionally suspect" in creating an injunction to restrict riot control weapons like tear gas, mandating body cameras, requiring visible identification for agents and more, a ruling described as "dangerous … given that the left has been working hard to dox and harass ICE agents and their families."
Constitutional expert Jonathan Turley said the ruling "made clear that 'federal courts to not exercise general oversight of the Executive Branch' and that the district court 'likely abused its discretion by issuing such a sweeping injunction.'"
He said, "The decision not to simply dismiss this case was clearly meant to send a message not simply to Judge Ellis but also to other such judges who are exceeding their authority in seeking to limit Trump policies and programs." (Read more)

Praise God for a rational ruling from the 7th Circuit Court and thank You Father that this message has been sent to district court judges across the nation. We, the people, did not elect these local judges to rule over our duly-elected President and we declare they will no longer hamstring our President, in Jesus's mighty name. We pray for every judicial overreach ruling to be declared null and void immediately and withdrawn. We pray for the Constitution to stand firm as the law of this land. We pray for the removal of all judges and attorneys who irresponsibly believe themselves to be above the executive branch or Congress, in the name of Jesus.

5. Left-Wing Activist Group Teaches Liberals How To Get Through Jury Selection and Vote 'Not Guilty' on Trump DOJ Prosecutions, Recordings Show - Free Beacon
A left-wing activist group is teaching liberals in Washington, D.C., and "across the United States" how to increase their chances of serving as jurors on cases brought by the Trump Department of Justice so they can undermine its chances of securing convictions, training materials reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon show.
Freedom Trainers, whose fiscal sponsor is the George Soros-funded group Community Change, is working to make "jury nullification"—the practice of voting against a conviction even if the defendant broke the law—a go-to legal weapon for the Left. Its sessions and training materials, reviewed by the Free Beacon, show how the group teaches "committed people" to gum up federal prosecutions.
The group tells attendees to keep their addresses current to ensure they receive summons. Then, during the jury selection process, it advises them to "Never mention jury nullification," "Don't signal an agenda," and "say you'll listen to the evidence before forming conclusions." Once selected, the group tells its trainees to vote "not guilty" for any reason. (Read more)

For sure many intercessory prayer groups have prayed for revelation of the organizations and exposure of the funding sources, so that they may be dismantled and neutralized. We pray for George Soros and his money to be stopped, in Jesus name. We thank You Father that there will be significant action taken to cause these jury pool activists to be found and removed from both the lists and any current jury, in Jesus's holy name. We cry out for justice in our judicial system from top to bottom and side to side, for the glory of God.

The Supreme Court invalidated the administration’s use of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to impose broad reciprocal tariffs, ruling that the statute did not clearly authorize such sweeping import taxes. Within hours, however, the White House announced a new 10 percent global tariff under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974, a statute allowing import surcharges of up to 15 percent for 150 days. The legal setback did not halt tariff policy, it redirected it.
The Court’s ruling narrowed executive authority under IEEPA, but did not eliminate presidential tariff tools. Section 122 provides a rapid-response mechanism, requiring no formal investigation before implementation. Its limitation is time: after 150 days, Congress must approve an extension. Meanwhile, the administration has signaled renewed use of Section 301, which permits tariffs following investigation into unfair trade practices. That route takes longer, but offers more durable footing. Section 232 national security tariffs also remain available. In short, the legal terrain shifted, yet the executive branch retains substantial authority to shape trade policy. Interior Secretary Announces Arrival of $100 Million in Venezuelan Gold

U.S. Interior Secretary Doug Burgum said that as of March 7, an amount of gold worth $100 million has been transported from Venezuela to the United States after the government authorized dealings with a Venezuelan state-owned gold mining company.
“That’s for both industrial purposes as well as other commercial uses,” Burgum told Fox News in an interview that aired on March 8.
“Venezuela’s got $100 billion of resources of gold, but they’ve also got other critical minerals, bauxite for aluminum, which we need for defense, and for consumer goods. They’ve got coal resources that can be used to help generate power ... to help us win the [artificial intelligence] arms race with China.”
Burgum said Venezuela’s government gave security assurances to mining companies interested in investing in the country, where mineral-rich areas have long been controlled by guerrilla members, gangs, and other illegal groups.
Burgum’s comments come as the U.S. Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control on March 6 authorized certain dealings with Minerven, Venezuela’s state-owned gold mining company. It is the latest sign of the Trump administration’s attempts to strike deals over the country’s vast reserves of natural resources following the U.S. military capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro in early January 2026.

A U.S. Coast Guard cutter and its crew returned to their home in California following a 119-day mission in which they seized more than 22,000 pounds of cocaine, the largest maritime drug seizure in 18 years, in the Atlantic in support of the Trump administration's effort to target drug traffickers.
The cutter Munro left its port in Alameda on Nov. 3, 2025 for training and participation in Resolute Hunter exercise offshore of San Diego, before sailing into the Pacific Ocean to conduct counternarcotics patrols in support of the U.S. Coast Guard’s Operation Pacific Viper.
However, the ship was diverted to the Atlantic Ocean in support of Operation Southern Spear, a Trump administration effort to target and disrupt transnational criminal networks, the War Department said Monday.

"This crew rose to every new challenge thrown at them with professionalism and persistence, and they achieved historic results. Michigan's deadly EF-3 tornado among state's earliest, strongest on record
|

A rare, early-season tornado in Michigan was the strongest to hit the state since 1977, and left four dead, including a 6th grader.

The Lower Peninsula of Michigan experienced several deadly tornadoes on March 6, including an EF-3 tornado in Union City and another tornado near Edwardsburg that killed a local sixth grader. The outbreak marked an unprecedentedly early start to tornado season for the Great Lakes State.
While Michigan ranks in the middle of the United States for average tornadoes per year, March tornadoes are rare, according to AccuWeather Meteorologist Jesse Ferrell.
Michigan averages about 13 tornadoes per year, based on data from 1995 to 2024. Only five of the past 30 years recorded any tornadoes in March in the state, Ferrell said.
On March 6, at least three confirmed tornadoes touched down across the Lower Peninsula of Michigan, causing damage in three counties and resulting in four deaths, including a sixth-grade student in Cass County.
National Weather Service survey teams from northern Indiana determined that the Union City tornado was an EF-3 on the Enhanced Fujita Scale. With estimated peak winds of 160 mph, it is the strongest tornado to strike Michigan since April 1977, according to AccuWeather experts.
It is also the earliest EF-3 tornado on record in Michigan, surpassing the previous benchmark of March 15, 2022, when an EF-3 hit near Ann Arbor. Before the March 6 tornado, the most recent EF-3 in the state occurred in Gaylord on May 20, 2022. (Accuweather) Read More
