Senior US official: Trump had no choice but to act amid intel that Iran planned to preemptively use missiles
US President Donald Trump authorized Operation Epic Fury against Iran after Washington received intelligence indicating that the Islamic Republic would deploy its ballistic missiles either preemptively or simultaneously with any American action against Tehran, a senior US official says.

“The president decided he was not going to sit back and allow American forces in the region to absorb attacks from conventional missiles,” the senior US official says in a briefing with reporters.

“We had analysis that basically told us [that] if we sat back and waited to get hit first, the amount of casualties and damage would be substantially higher than if we acted in a preemptive, defensive way to prevent those launches from occurring,” the senior US official claims.

“We cannot continue to live in a world where these people not only possess missiles but the ability to make 100 of them a month in perpetuity, to overwhelm any potential defenses,” the US official continues.

“We are not going to be held hostage by them, and we are not going to let them hit us first because it would have substantially increased the risk to our troops in the region and to our allies,” he adds.

The senior US official says the Trump administration viewed Iran’s “ambition” of nuclear weapons as a longer-term threat and Tehran’s existing stockpile of missiles that can reach US military bases across the region as a “short-term” threat posing “an intolerable risk to the US.” (The Times of Israel) Read more
Father God, no matter what many Americans are now saying, questioning the wisdom of our president to launch Operation Epic Fury, the facts remain that this
strike against Iran WAS the right thing to do and the right time to do it.  We stand in the gap for the American people who are deceived on this matter, we ask that they REPENT for their words and actions, and we ask You, Holy One, to forgive them, for they know not what they do. Amen.

-- We ask our partners to pray in the Spirit over this critical matter. Thank you!

Poll: America's Support for Israel Plunges as More Independents and Democrats Sympathize with Palestinians

WASHINGTON (AP) — American sympathies in the Middle East have shifted dramatically toward the Palestinians, according to new Gallup polling, after decades of overwhelming support for the Israelis.

That shift accelerated during the war in Gaza. Three years ago, 54% of Americans sympathized more with the Israelis, compared with 31% for the Palestinians.

Now, their support is about evenly balanced, with 41% saying their sympathies lie more with the Palestinians, and only 36% saying the same about the Israelis.

The numbers reflect how support for Israel has become deeply contentious in the U.S., with profound implications for American politics and foreign policy. The changing sentiment has been largely driven by Democrats, who are now much more likely to sympathize with Palestinians. U.S. assistance to Israel has been a major dividing line in the party’s primaries this year. (Read more)

Father, once again, we ask You to forgive these deceived traitors, for they know not what they do. Amen.

21 Sirens on Shabbat: A Nation in Its Fortified Rooms

Israel is under attack. Families are running for shelter. Stand with Israel. Stand with the people who refuse to break.

On Friday night, as I lit my Shabbat candles, my phone sat beside me, its volume on and screen awake.

For months, we have lived with the knowledge that another war with Iran was not a question of if, but when. Since October 7th, that sense has lingered in the background of Israeli life, and more presently, since the most recent war with Iran in June 2025. As a young mother, I often describe it like being in the ninth month of pregnancy, every cramp feels like it could be the moment, only to go two weeks overdue. You brace yourself. You prepare. And then you wait.

This past week, the signs intensified. American military presence increased across the region. Evacuations were reported. Ben Gurion Airport felt heavier. When Ambassador Mike Huckabee encouraged non-essential personnel to leave the embassy and made clear that Friday would be the final day, the air shifted. We did not know the details. But we knew something was coming, soon.

So I cleaned out our bomb shelter.

In normal times, our shelter doubles as a guest room, my husband’s office, and the catch-all for whatever clutter we cannot deal with. But I cleared it. I bought extra snacks. I reorganized puzzles and games in what we jokingly call our wartime closet, the stash of new activities saved for exactly this moment. If you know, you know.

Shabbat night passed quietly.

At 8:13 on Saturday morning, air raid sirens wailed across Israel for the first time in months.
Iran, the regime that openly calls for the destruction of Israel, began firing ballistic missiles at Israeli cities. On Shabbat. On Shabbat Zachor, the Sabbath of Remembrance. The day of the year where have a mitzvah a commandment to never forget the evils of Amalek, the nation who continuously tries to kill us. (Israel 365 News) Read more here.

Holy God, We ask that You protect Your people at this dangerous time.  We erect a hedge of the Blood of Jesus around them, and bind the enemy from harming any. We declare victory in the Mighty Name of Jesus!

"With God we shall do valiantly; it is he who will tread down our foes."               (Psalm 108:13)

> > > Lord God of Abraham, we weep today with those who weep over the nine Israeli victims who were killed by an Iranian missile while they were in their own bomb shelter. Have mercy, we pray O Lord, have mercy!

Trump Calls Khamenei’s Death ‘Justice for the People of Iran’

President Donald Trump announced Saturday that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, had been killed in a U.S.-Israeli military strike, marking a dramatic escalation in hostilities in the Middle East.

In a Truth Social post, Trump wrote that Khamenei was “one of the most evil people in history,” and framed the killing as retribution for Americans and others harmed by Iran’s leadership.

“This is not only Justice for the people of Iran,” Trump wrote, “but for all Great Americans, and those people from many Countries throughout the World, that have been killed or mutilated by Khamenei and his gang of bloodthirsty THUGS.”

Trump added that Khamenei’s killing offered “the single greatest chance for the Iranian people to take back their Country.”

Khamenei, who ruled Iran’s religious autocracy for more than three decades, is believed to have been killed in a strike in his compound in the capital, Tehran. The 86-year-old's death was confirmed by the state-run IRNA news agency, which did not elaborate on a cause.

His assassination followed years of tensions with successive U.S. and Israeli governments over Iran’s nuclear program, and his refusal to give up his country’s right to develop nuclear energy.

It came just weeks after his security forces brutally crushed widespread protests that first broke out across the country over rampant inflation, but spiralled into broader demonstrations against Khamenei and the Islamic regime that has ruled Iran since 1979.  (TIME) Read more here.
Thank You, O Lord, for the courage of President Donald John Trump. He has been called to lead our nation in this time of war, and he is doing so with unflinching faithfulness to this call.

We now ask that You would rest Your hand of protection over President Trump, Vice-President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, now and in the days to come. We claim the protection of Psalm 91 over each of these leaders and their families now, and always, in Your Name, amen and amen!

1. 9 killed as Iranian missile destroys synagogue, smashes bomb shelter in Beit Shemesh - Times of Israel

Nine people were killed and more than 40 were injured in Beit Shemesh, near Jerusalem, on Sunday afternoon by a direct Iranian ballistic missile impact.

The missile struck a residential area in the city, destroying a synagogue and causing extensive damage to a public bomb shelter beneath it and surrounding homes.

The Magen David Adom ambulance service said it declared the deaths of eight victims at the scene and took 28 others to hospitals, two in serious condition. The death of the ninth victim was declared a short time later. (Read more)

2. IDF destroys IRGC Intelligence, Air Force HQ in Tehran - Israel National News

In a large-scale wave of strikes conducted over the past several hours, after the Israeli Air Force achieved air superiority over Tehran, the IDF struck dozens of the regime’s military command centers, including headquarters belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), intelligence headquarters, IRGC Air Force command centers, and internal security headquarters.

The strikes were directed at command centers in which IDF intelligence had identified active operational presence of Iranian regime personnel responsible for managing combat operations and planning terror campaigns against the State of Israel and regional countries.

One of the emergency compounds targeted served the Operations Directorate and the Directorate of Intelligence of the Iranian terror regime. From this site, regime officials managed combat activities and developed operational and intelligence assessments. (Read more)

3. Israeli president: Middle East’s future ‘depends on’ US action in Iran - The Hill

Israeli President Isaac Herzog said Sunday that the Middle East’s future “depends on” American action in Iran in the wake of U.S. strikes against the country.

“We are in a historic juncture. Well, the future of the Middle East depends on the success of this operation, because it is an opportunity to divert this age-old war that has been looming over the Middle East between the empire of evil, led by Iran, and all other innocent and peace-loving nations,” Herzog told CNN’s Dana Bash on “State of the Union.”

“That’s the story here, and people have to understand it. This is not a war for the sake of war. This is a strategic war in order, for once and for all, to stop this enormous, horrendous bloodshed of terror, of killing, this huge war machine that goes on and on and on,” he added. (Read more)

4. WATCH: Cluster munitions seemingly used during latest Iranian missile barrage against Israel - Jerusalem Post

Missiles using cluster munitions were reportedly seen over central Israel during the latest barrage from Iran on Sunday evening, according to footage circulating online.

Following the barrage, Magen David Adom said its paramedics were dispatched to sites of reported missile impacts in central Israel.

Police officers are working to isolate one of the impact sites in central Israel, and have asked the public to stay away from the area. (Read more

5. Abu Dhabi Complex Housing Embassies Damaged as Retaliatory Strikes Widen in Gulf - Algemeiner

Debris from an intercepted drone damaged an Abu Dhabi complex housing the Israeli embassy and several other international missions, causing minor injuries to a woman and her child, Abu Dhabi’s state media office said on Sunday.

Debris from the drone fell against the facade of the Etihad Towers complex after an interception that caused loud sounds heard across the emirate, the media office said.

After the US and Israel launched strikes on Iran on Saturday, Iran said it would target US bases in the region. But it has also hit a range of civilian and commercial areas across Gulf cities, widening the conflict’s impact on key regional aviation and trade hubs.

As retaliatory strikes widened on Sunday they reverberated across Gulf Arab states, with loud blasts heard in Dubai and the Qatari capital Doha and with Oman being hit for the first time. (Read more

God bless United States of America.  God bless President Donald J. Trump! God bless our soldiers.

In view of our military strike against Iran today and the time alignment with the Jewish festival of Purim beginning March 2nd through Tuesday, March 3rd, we the church align with the intercession of  Queen Esther and pray for the peace of Israel, peace for the United States, peace for the church in Iran and the overthrow of the Iranian Ayatollah.

There is a New Day upon the earth.  Nations and Kings are being overturned. And what of this new day?  The Day of the Lord is a day of Overturning.  Church great and awesome things are happening on the earth today.     The frogs like unclean spirits are spewing out of the mouth of the beast.  Heaven is invading earth.  Prophecy is being fulfilled in our generation.  It is a great day to be alive.

As God’s army today is waking up to proclaim the finished work of King Jesus, the Body of Christ stirs itself and arises to be overcomers positioning ourselves as we are watching Heaven invading earth in the metaphor of epoch glory – Operation Epic Fury.  Please Read the PDF Here
Iran’s Temporary Council Assumes Leadership After Khamenei’s Death—What Comes Next?

After the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in U.S. and Israeli airstrikes in Tehran, a temporary council has taken over the leadership of the nation.

Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian said March 1 that the new leadership council “has begun its work.”

U.S. President Donald Trump has called on the people of Iran to rise up against the regime, explicitly tying U.S. interests in the region to regime change and preventing a nuclear-armed Iran.

The commission taking over control of the nation in the midst of its war against two global superpowers is a short-term stopgap. Ultimately, a new leader will be selected by clerics within the state’s theocratic constitution.

Here’s what to know.

Three U.S. Troops Killed, Five Seriously Wounded in Iran Attacks
Three American service members have been killed and five others seriously wounded while taking part in the joint U.S.-Israeli attack on Iran, the Pentagon announced on Sunday.

They are the first reported American casualties since the United States and Israel launched major military strikes against Iran on Saturday, which President Donald Trump said was aimed at bringing about a change in the country's leadership.

“Several others sustained minor shrapnel injuries and concussions — and are in the process of being returned to duty. Major combat operations continue and our response effort is ongoing,” U.S. Central Command said in a statement posted on social media.

“The situation is fluid, so out of respect for the families, we will withhold additional information, including the identities of our fallen warriors, until 24 hours after next of kin have been notified,” the statement added.

The announcement came as Iran has launched a barrage of retaliatory missile strikes at U.S. bases across the Middle East over the past 48 hours.

Iranian state media, citing the Red Crescent, said at least 201 people had been killed and more than 700 injured across Iran by U.S. and Israeli bombing.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who ruled the country for more than three decades, was killed in the opening salvo of the campaign.
