California bill aims to stiffen penalties for agitators disrupting church services
|
|
California lawmakers are advancing legislation to bolster protections for churches and other houses of worship amid a rise in reported disruptions and intimidation at religious services across the state and nationwide.
Senate Bill 1070, introduced by state Sen. Shannon Grove, R-Bakersfield, in collaboration with The American Council, would update the state’s penal code, which currently classifies intentional disturbances of religious worship as a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in county jail and/or a $1,000 fine.
The proposed bill would create a "wobbler" offense, giving prosecutors discretion to charge violations as either a misdemeanor or a felony based on severity, coordination or repetition. If passed, SB 1070 would expand California Penal Code Section 302 and impose felony penalties, including fines of up to $5,000 and 16 months in county jail. (Christian Post) Read More Here >

Trump tells Iranians the 'hour of your freedom is at hand' as US-Israel launch strikes against Iran

President Donald Trump encouraged the Iranian people to take over their government once the United States and Israel finished "major combat operations" in Iran, marking a dramatic escalation in tensions between Washington and Tehran.
The U.S. and Israel launched the joint attack just after 9 a.m. local time in what the Pentagon has dubbed "Operation Epic Fury."
In video remarks posted to Truth Social, Trump addressed the Iranian people directly and told them to "seize control of [their] destiny."
"The hour of your freedom is at hand. Stay sheltered. Don't leave your home. It's very dangerous outside. Bombs will be dropping everywhere. When we are finished, take over your government. It will be yours to take," Trump said. "This will be, probably, your only chance for generations. For many years, you have asked for America's help, but you never got it. Holy God of Justice, we pray for the ordinary people of Iran as they celebrate this action. We pray that this will accomplish exactly what You plan for the nation of Iran and bring hope to those who have been repressed by evil for 47 years. We ask for them to have the tools to remove evil from their midst and provide the perfect opportunity to draw them to Your heart.

Trump Confirms Reports Ayatollah Ali Khamenei Is Dead: ‘One of the Most Evil People in History’

President Donald Trump confirmed reports that Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, “one of the most evil people in History,” had been killed during an Israeli strike on his compound in Tehran.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump described this moment as being the “single greatest chance for the Iranian people to take back their Country.” Trump’s post comes after multiple reports surfaced that Khamenei, 86, who had been in “control of the Islamic Republic of Iran” since 1989, was killed.
“Khamenei, one of the most evil people in History, is dead,” Trump wrote. “This is not only Justice for the people of Iran, but for all Great Americans, and those people from many Countries throughout the World, that have been killed or mutilated by Khamenei and his gang of bloodthirsty THUGS.”
“He was unable to avoid our Intelligence and Highly Sophisticated Tracking Systems and, working closely with Israel, there was not a thing he, or the other leaders that have been killed along with him, could do,” Trump added.

Historic Israeli Air Force operation: 200 fighter jets hammer Iran
|

Two hundred fighter jets streaked across Israel’s skies with a thunderous roar, in “the largest military flyover” in Israeli Air Force history, the Israel Defense Forces said on Saturday.
“The IDF completed an extensive attack against the missile array and the defense systems of the Iranian terror regime in western and central Iran,” the military said in a statement.

US-Israeli joint strikes on Iran are expected to continue for at least a week, Israeli officials told Walla on Saturday afternoon.
A report by Fox News also stated that US officials expect the event to last several days, rather than hours.
The officials also said that the strike at a US Navy base in Bahrain left no injuries, with the Iranian missile only hitting an empty building.
This comes after the US and Israel launched a joint strike on Iran in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Iranian state media reported explosions in Tehran, Qom, Isfahan, Kermanshah, and Karaj. Meanwhile, sirens sounded across the whole of Israel as Iran bombarded the Jewish State, along with several other Middle Eastern countries, in a counterattack.
So far, no Israeli citizens have been confirmed to have been killed. (Yahoo News)

1. Iranian Christian leaders declare support for Reza Pahlavi - Christian Today
More than 200 Christian leaders from Iran have come out in support of the exiled Crown Prince, Reza Pahlavi, the son of the country’s last Shah.
In their statement the Christian leaders, who come from a range of a broad range of organisations and denominations, said they believed themselves to be “an inseparable part of the Iranian nation”, adding that the country is at one of its “most decisive moments”.
In their statement the Christian leaders accused the Iranian government of failing to protect the people and “inflicting grievous harm” on the nation.
The statement further argued that due to the crimes inflicted on the Iranian people since the Islamic Revolution in 1979, the government has lost all “moral, national and international legitimacy” and that regime change is needed.
“Today, in order to move beyond despotism, violence, and moral and social collapse, Iran requires national solidarity, responsible leadership, and a transition grounded in wisdom and reason. 2. Iran-linked terror plots targeting Israeli embassies abroad - Israel Hayom
A senior Israeli source quoted on Saudi television said alert levels have been raised at embassies across Europe, the Far East, and Latin America. An Israeli source quoted on the Saudi television channel Al-Hadath warned that the threat level facing Israeli diplomatic missions abroad is extremely high, with multiple warnings of planned attacks.
According to the Israeli source, "We may evacuate several of our embassies." He added, "We have raised the readiness threshold at our embassies in Europe, the Far East, and Latin America."
"There are warnings about the intent of elements linked to Iran to carry out terrorist attacks against our interests abroad," the source was quoted as saying. "We have asked former security personnel and former senior officials to return to the country as soon as possible." (Read more)

3. Iran Strikes Erase "Space" Between Trump and Netanyahu, insiders say - Washington Examiner
“Operation Epic Fury” indicates that President Donald Trump has gotten over recent frustrations with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, persons close to the White House tell the Washington Examiner.
Trump largely embraced Netanyahu throughout most of his first year back in the White House, but had reportedly begun voicing concerns about the prime minister’s actions in Gaza in late 2025. Multiple outlets reported that the president personally scolded Netanyahu in December, accusing him in private of undermining the Gaza ceasefire process.
However, senior American officials and Trump world insiders say that Saturday morning’s strike campaign could only have been pulled off with close coordination with the Israeli government.
“I think that what Saturday’s operation shows is that there’s no space in between the United States and Israel when it comes to regional security,” one longtime out-of-government advisor to the president told the Washington Examiner. “The media was always going to try to spin the situation in Gaza, but that was an incredibly complicated situation. There were always going to be hiccups along the way.”
One former Trump national security official told the Washington Examiner that Trump and Netanyahu had always seen “eye-to-eye” about military action against Iran: that it was “a question of when, not if.”
“The situation with Iran is, in many ways, much more simple and straightforward than the situation in Gaza,” that person told the Washington Examiner. “The ayatollah cannot remain in power if he’s going to, one, build nuclear weapons and, two, brutalize the Iranian people protesting regime. 4. Trump and Mamdani meet for second time, discuss housing and detention of student- MSN/Reuters
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani said he had a productive meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House on Thursday, discussing issues including housing and the detention by federal immigration agents of a Columbia University student.
It marked the second meeting between the two men since Mamdani's mayoral election win late last year. Mamdani is a Democrat and Trump is a Republican.
Mamdani posted a photo of himself with Trump on social media after the meeting. "I had a productive meeting with President Trump this afternoon. I'm looking forward to building more housing in New York City," Mamdani wrote on X.
Mamdani said he raised concerns with Trump about the detention on Thursday of Columbia University student Elmina Aghayeva from Azerbaijan by ICE and that Trump later informed him that she will be "released imminently."
After the meeting, the student posted on Instagram that she had been released.
While both men have been critical of each other's policy positions in the past and hold radically different worldviews, their previous meeting in November was unexpectedly friendly. (Read more)

5. Feds make 25 more arrests in anti-ICE Minnesota church invasion- Fox
Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that 25 more arrests had been made in connection with the storming of Cities Church by anti-U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agitators last month.
"Today, [the Justice Department] unsealed an indictment charging 30 more people who took part in the attack on Cities Church in Minnesota," Bondi wrote on X. "At my direction, federal agents have already arrested 25 of them, with more to come throughout the day."
"YOU CANNOT ATTACK A HOUSE OF WORSHIP. If you do so, you cannot hide from us — we will find you, arrest you, and prosecute you. This Department of Justice STANDS for Christians and all Americans of faith," she added.
In the indictment, which was unsealed on Friday, it is alleged that the agitators took part "in a coordinated takeover-style attack and engaged in acts of oppression, intimidation, threats, interference, and physical obstruction."
"As a result of [the] defendants’ conduct, the pastor and congregation were forced to terminate the church’s worship service, congregants fled the church building out of fear for their safety, other congregants took steps to implement an emergency plan, and young children were left to wonder, as one child put it, if their parents were going to die," the indictment reads.

6. Report exposes billions in uncovered fraud, waste as watchdog coalition offers support to Trump's crackdown- Fox
As the Trump administration appoints Vice President JD Vance to lead a nationwide "War on Fraud," a coalition of conservative state financial officers says it has already uncovered and stopped billions in taxpayer waste and is pledging to partner with the White House to root out corruption nationwide.
In a Thursday letter to the White House, the State Financial Officers Foundation (SFOF) praised President Donald Trump’s focus on what he called fraud scandals that have "resulted in tens of billions of dollars being stolen from American taxpayers," writing that such corruption "shreds the fabric of a nation"
SFOF CEO OJ Oleka told Vance that the group’s 40 conservative state treasurers, auditors and comptrollers across 28 states stand ready to support the administration’s anti-fraud mission, noting they collectively oversee more than $3 trillion in state funds.
The letter accompanied SFOF’s inaugural 2025 Oversight Report, which claims that affiliated state financial officers safeguarded more than $28 billion of waste, fraud, and abuse in 2025 alone. (Read more)

Former President Bill Clinton is telling the House Oversight Committee that he had "no idea" of Jeffrey Epstein's crimes as his deposition kicks off in Chappaqua, New York.
Clinton is in the hot seat for the committee's bipartisan investigation into the late financier and sex trafficker for what is expected to be an all-day session of questions into his relationship with Epstein and his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell.
"Now, let me say what you're going to hear from me. First, I had no idea of the crimes Epstein was committing. No matter how many photos you show me, I have two things that, at the end of the day, matter more than your interpretation of those 20-year-old photos," Clinton said, according to his prepared opening remarks.

So Let us join in prayer in this PURIM DECREE OVER ISRAEL - “FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS!”
*We read in Esther 8:8 the words of King Xerxes:
You, yourselves, write a decree concerning the Jews, as you please, in the king’s name and seal it with the king’s signet ring. For whatever is written in the king’s name and sealed with the king’s signet ring no one can revoke.
Let us stand and intercede (as Esther did) against the decree of destruction made against Israel by the Hamans of our day. And let us declare a decree in the Name of Yeshua, the King of kings, and seal it with our King’s signet ring — the BLOOD OF THE LAMB!
In the Name that is above every other name, Yeshua, the Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords, we declare that the Jewish people are God’s Chosen Ones and the “apple of His eye.” We further declare that they hold a biblical covenant to the physical land of Israel, as IT IS WRITTEN in Genesis 17:7-8:
And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant … . Also I will give to you and your descendants after you … all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

We beseech You, Yeshua, the Righteous Judge (2 Timothy 4:8), to bring Your holy judgments against these wicked powers once and for all. We decree that all of these principalities and spiritual powers of darkness must bow to the Name, authority and power of Yeshua, the Christ, the King of kings and Lord of Hosts (Philippians 2:10). Jehovah Sabaoth, pursue them with Your tempest, and frighten them with Your storm. Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek Your name, O Lord ... . That they may know that You, whose name alone is the Lord, are the Most High over all the earth (Psalm 83:15-16 and18).
We proclaim this declaration sealed by the Blood of the Lamb of God, the King of kings, Yeshua, the Christ, the MIGHTY ONE of Israel!
Lord, we give You no rest until You make Jerusalem a praise in all the earth (Isaiah 62:7)!

Greetings from New York City.
Since our last update, tensions between the US, Iran, and Israel have reached a fever pitch. As protests continue to shake Iran, a critical deadline set by President Trump approaches—coinciding with the festival of Purim. In the Book of Esther, we see a direct threat of destruction against the Jewish people, yet we also see a sovereign God who positioned courageous leaders to protect them 'for such a time as this.'
As watchmen on the wall, our calling in New York and across the globe is to stand in the gap, interceding for Israel, America, and the nations. As we pray into this Middle East crisis, let us look to the victory in Esther as our blueprint, trusting the Lord for a supernatural intervention. We stand on the promise of Isaiah 29:5-6: that the 'multitude of ruthless foes' shall pass like chaff, and the Lord of hosts will move in power. Let us pray with expectation, knowing “we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places." Heaven’s Warning Lights? Planetary Signs, Purim, And Blood Moons
|
|
The headlines and the heavens appear to be speaking at the same time. In a single stretch of days, the world is watching escalating tension between Iran, Israel, and the United States, while the night sky stages a rare celestial display: a six-planet alignment followed almost immediately by a total lunar eclipse--the so-called "blood moon"--falling on the Jewish feast of Purim. For students of Scripture and watchers of world events, the convergence is difficult to ignore.
A Sky Filled With Signs
According to NASA, a rare planetary alignment is visible this week, with Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune appearing together across the night sky. Astronomers sometimes call this a "planetary parade," a phenomenon that occurs only occasionally when multiple planets line up from Earth's vantage point. Reports highlighted by Space.com note that while two or three visible planets are common, six at once is unusual enough to draw global attention from skywatchers.
Then comes the eclipse. In the early hours of March 3, observers across much of North America will witness the only total lunar eclipse visible in the United States until 2028. During totality, the moon turns a deep reddish hue--a result of sunlight filtering through Earth's atmosphere and scattering blue wavelengths, leaving red tones to illuminate the lunar surface.
Scientifically, the explanation is straightforward. Historically and biblically, however, blood moons have carried symbolic weight. Ancient cultures often interpreted them as omens of upheaval or war. Scripture itself references celestial disturbances in prophetic contexts, including Joel 2:31: "The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes."
