Operation Restore Justice: Over 100 Children Rescued
|
|
The Department of Justice (DOJ) has announced the successful conclusion of Operation Restore Justice, a nationwide initiative targeting child sex trafficking and exploitation. Over a five-day period, federal agents arrested 205 individuals and rescued 115 children from abusive situations. Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel held a press conference in Washington, D.C., to detail the operation’s outcomes.
Among those apprehended were a Minnesota state trooper, a former Washington, D.C., police officer, and an illegal alien from Mexico. The charges against these individuals include child sex trafficking, possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material, and online enticement of minors. The operation involved agents from 55 FBI field offices across the country.
Attorney General Bondi emphasized the DOJ’s commitment to protecting children, stating, “The Department of Justice will never stop fighting to protect victims — especially child victims — and we will not rest until we hunt down, arrest, and prosecute every child predator who preys on the most vulnerable among us.” She also directed federal prosecutors to pursue maximum penalties without plea negotiations. James Comey Disables Comments on His Instagram After ’86 47 [Take Out Trump]’ Post Backfires
|
|
Disgraced former FBI Director James Comey has disabled comments on his Instagram account after a post that called to “86 47,” which some interpreted as a violent threat to “take out” President Donald Trump.
As Breitbart News reported, Comey initially shared a photo of a shell formation on the beach appearing as “86 47” – 86 possibly meaning “eliminate” and 47 potentially meaning Trump.
While the phrase “86” does not inherently mean violence – it allegedly originated as a restaurant term – people immediately criticized the post for tangentially implying violence, and Comey deleted it as a result.
“I posted earlier a picture of some shells I saw today on a beach walk, which I assumed were a political message. I didn’t realize some folks associate those numbers with violence. It never occurred to me but I oppose violence of any kind so I took the post down,” he wrote in a later post.
To be sure, while Comey may have professed ignorance over his comment, others were not.

Trump says Comey knew 'assassination' meaning behind deleted social media post

|
President Donald Trump is condemning a cryptic social media post from former FBI Director James Comey, which Trump and others interpreted as a veiled call for his assassination.
In an exclusive interview with Fox News chief political anchor Bret Baier during a visit to Abu Dhabi, Trump said the now-deleted post, which showed seashells arranged to form the numbers "86 47," was deliberate.
"He wasn't very competent. But he was competent enough to know what that meant. And, he did it for a reason," Trump said in an interview that aired Friday on "Special Report."
The post, shared on Instagram, featured the caption, "Cool shell formation on my beach walk." Some interpreted it as a coded message, with "86" being slang for "get rid of," and "47" referring to Trump, who is the 47th president of the United States. (Fox News) Read more here.

Supreme Court blocks Trump effort to deport Venezuelan migrants under Alien Enemies Act
|
|
The Supreme Court on Friday decided in favor of an appeal by a group of Venezuelan migrants who asked the high court to halt their deportation under the Alien Enemies Act (AEA).
The decision, similar to others it has made in the past on the matter, revolved around the alleged illegal immigrants not having enough time to reasonably file a challenge to their deportations. Two justices, Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito, dissented.
President Donald Trump has been using the 1798 Alien Enemies Act to try and speed up the deportation processes of illegal immigrants, but the Supreme Court's Friday ruling presents another blow to those attempts after the court ruled against the Trump administration in their effort to remove men already in immigration custody in a northern region of Texas.
"Under these circumstances, notice roughly 24 hours before removal, devoid of information about how to exercise due process rights to contest that removal, surely does not pass muster. But it is not optimal for this Court, far removed from the circumstances on the ground, to determine in the first instance the precise process necessary to satisfy the Constitution in this case. We remand the case to the Fifth Circuit for that purpose," the ruling from the court reads.
The court did not rule on Friday on whether the AEA was lawful, but rather sent the matter back to the New Orleans-based 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. (Fox News) Read more.

Iran Insists on No Compromise, Won’t Shutter Nuclear Sites After U.S. Talks

Four rounds of talks with a team of American diplomats have done nothing to soften Iran’s position on ending its illicit nuclear weapons development, Iranian officials insisted on Thursday.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who has led the delegation to Oman-mediated talks with Washington for the past month, eliminated the possibility on Thursday that Iran will stop enriching uranium, a core demand of the administration of President Donald Trump for any agreement to lift sanctions on the world’s premier state sponsor of terrorism. Tehran insists that it has a “right” to generate highly-enriched uranium as part of its “peaceful” nuclear program, while American officials have pointed out that no peaceful nuclear states have programs that enrich to the capacity that Iran has and that uranium of such highly enriched quality is not necessary to run nuclear power plants — its only use would be in developing a bomb.
Nonetheless, Araghchi insisted, according to the Iranian state propaganda outlet PressTV, that enrichment is a “right of the Iranian people” that the Islamist regime will not compromise on.
“Defending the rights of the Iranian people in the nuclear field, including [uranium] enrichment, is one of these principles and rights of the people that we will not compromise on,” the foreign minister declared, “neither in the media nor at the negotiation table. This is the right of the Iranian people, and no one can deny it.”

1. IDF ramps up strikes on Gaza amid launch of ‘Gideon’s Chariots’ - JNS
The Israel Defense Forces is conducting extensive airstrikes across the Gaza Strip and mobilizing ground troops to gain operational control in key areas of the enclave, the military announced overnight Friday.
The move marks the opening stage of an expanded phase of military operations—codenamed “Gideon’s Chariots”—aimed at achieving the central objectives of the war: securing the release of hostages and dismantling the Hamas terrorist organization.
On Friday afternoon, the IDF reported that it had attacked more than 150 terrorist targets across Gaza in the past 24 hours as part of ongoing operations against Hamas.
The airstrikes targeted anti-tank positions, terrorist cells, and structures used to launch attacks on Israeli troops. Ground forces from the 252nd, 143rd and 36th Divisions operated in both northern and southern Gaza, destroying tunnel shafts and other infrastructure while killing terrorists engaged in active combat and plotting further attacks. 2. Hamas proposes releasing some hostages in fresh talks after new Israel offensive - BBC
Hamas has proposed releasing more hostages under a new Gaza ceasefire deal, after new negotiations were held on Saturday. The talks began hours after Israel's military launched a major new offensive in the Gaza Strip.
Hamas has agreed to release nine hostages in exchange for a 60-day truce and Israel releasing Palestinian prisoners, a Palestinian official told the BBC.
The official said the new proposed deal would also allow the entry of 400 aid trucks a day, and the evacuation of medical patients from Gaza. Israel, in turn, has demanded proof of life and detailed information about all remaining hostages. (Read more)

3. Two rockets launched at Israel from central Gaza; IDF intercepts one

Palestinian terrorists fired two rockets toward Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip on Sunday amid the expansion of Israel Defense Forces ground operations in the coastal enclave, the IDF confirmed.
Following the alerts that were activated in Kissufim, two launches were identified from the central Gaza Strip toward Israeli territory. One was intercepted and the other fell in an open area,” the military stated.
“There were no casualties,” the IDF added.
The attack from Gaza activated air-raid sirens in Kibbutz Kissufim, an Israeli agricultural community near the border of some 300 residents.
Israel’s Magen David Adom medical emergency response group also announced it received “no reports regarding impacts or casualties.” (Read more)

4. IDF pounds Houthi ports in Yemen, threatens to kill leader, after missile, drone attacks - Times of Israel
Israeli fighter jets carried out a wave of airstrikes in Yemen on Friday afternoon, targeting two Houthi-controlled ports in the west of the country, and threatened to kill the terror group’s leader, in response to the Iran-backed group’s ongoing missile and drone attacks on Israel.
Israel had waited until the end of US President Donald Trump’s visit to the region before launching its reprisal strikes on the Houthis. Since the Israel Defense Force’s last strike on Yemen, on May 6, the Houthis launched at least seven missiles and two drones at Israel, the latest of them on Thursday night.
Fifteen fighter jets were involved in the strike on Friday, dropping some 35 munitions on the Hodeidah and Salif ports, destroying infrastructure, the military said. IAF refuelers and spy planes also participated in the operation. (Read more)

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei once again threatened Israel, saying on Saturday that the “Zionist regime” is “a dangerous, deadly cancerous tumor in the region” that “must be uprooted [and] will be uprooted.”
The Iranian dictator issued his threat during a public event in Tehran, according to state news agency IRNA.
He charged Israel with being “the source of corruption, the source of war, and the source of discord” in the Middle East.

1. Trump To Speak With Putin On Monday In Bid To End Russia-Ukraine ‘Bloodbath’ – Daily Caller
President Donald Trump announced Saturday that he will speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday in an effort to broker a ceasefire in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, calling the conflict a “bloodbath” that must be stopped.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said that the call with Putin is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday and will focus on ending the war, which he said is killing “more than 5,000 Russian and Ukrainian soldiers a week.” Trade discussions are also expected to be on the agenda.
“I WILL BE SPEAKING, BY TELEPHONE, TO PRESIDENT VLADIMIR PUTIN OF RUSSIA ON MONDAY,” Trump wrote. “THE SUBJECTS OF THE CALL WILL BE, STOPPING THE ‘BLOODBATH’…AND TRADE.”

2. FBI Director Kash Patel says FBI leaving longtime headquarters – Fox Business
In an excerpt of an exclusive interview with "Sunday Morning Futures" that will air this Sunday, Patel said the agency is reallocating its workforce around the country by moving those agents out of the J. Edgar Hoover Building, which opened in 1975.
"This FBI is leaving the Hoover building because this building is unsafe for our workforce and we want… the American men and women to know, if you're going to come work at the premier law enforcement agency in the world, we're going to give you a building that's commensurate with that, and that's not this place," Patel said.
"Look, the FBI is 38,000 when we're fully manned, which we're not. In the national capital region, in the 50-mile radius around Washington, D.C., there were 11,000 FBI employees," Patel said. "That's like a third of the workforce. A third of the crime doesn't happen here, so we're taking 1,500 of those folks and moving them out."
"Every state's getting a plus-up, and I think when we do things like that, we inspire folks in America to become intel analysts and agents and say, 'we want to go work at the FBI because we want to go fight violent crime, and we want to get sent out into the country to do it,'" he added. 3. 'Disgusting': State Capital to Fly Palestinian Flag Over City Hall – Western Journal
In an utterly shameful move, Providence, Rhode Island, plans to raise a Palestinian flag over City Hall on Friday -- a decision that spits in the face of American values and Christian principles.
This isn’t just a foreign flag; it’s a symbol bandied by Hamas, a terrorist group that has spilled innocent blood, including that of Americans and Israelis, in its vile jihadist campaign.
The Providence City Council announced the event on X, scheduling the flag-raising for noon, complete with remarks from elected officials and community members on the City Hall steps.
What should be flying high are the Stars and Stripes and the Rhode Island state flag -- symbols of unity, freedom, and faith in God -- rather than a banner tied to violence and division.
One X user nailed it in response to council's post: “This is really disgusting. I’m sure it also violates some statute. The only time another flag should be put up there is if you’re conquered.” (Read more)

4. Major Credit Rating Firm Downgrades US As Country Drowns In Debt – Daily Caller
The United States government lost its last AAA credit rating Friday evening with Moody’s Ratings downgrading the country to its double-A category, citing in part rising debt burdens and high interest rates.
“This one-notch downgrade on our 21-notch rating scale reflects the increase over more than a decade in government debt and interest payment ratios to levels that are significantly higher than similarly rated sovereigns,” Moody’s said in a statement.
Other major ratings agencies, Standard & Poor’s and Fitch Ratings, downgraded the United States to AA+ from AAA in 2011 and 2023 respectively.
The credit downgrade comes as Republican lawmakers are seeking to steer a massive tax and spending package through Congress, known as President Donald Trump’s “one big, beautiful bill.”
The nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Budget estimates that the House version of the president’s budget reconciliation bill will add roughly $3.3 trillion to the debt through fiscal year 2034. (Read more)

5. EXCLUSIVE: State Prosecutor Joins National Fight Against Sadistic ‘764’ Pedophile Cult- Daily Caller
The state of Idaho is targeting an online Satanic criminal network that preys on local children for sexual abuse, reflecting growing nationwide concerns about the threat it poses.
Republican Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador’s office said it is sounding the alarm about “a dangerous online sextortion scheme run by a transnational criminal network known as ‘764’” in a statement to the Daily Caller News Foundation. Members of the group, who have become a growing priority for federal law enforcement, are “actively targeting children in Idaho and across the country through gaming platforms and messaging apps,” Labrador’s office said.
“The criminals behind this network are targeting children across the globe with calculated cruelty,” Labrador said. “My office will use every tool at our disposal to expose these predators and protect Idaho families.”
The coalition of predatory groups “manipulates and blackmails children — typically between the ages of 9 and 17 — into sharing explicit images or engaging in self-harming behavior,” Labrador’s office said, echoing FBI descriptions of the trend. “The perpetrators then use those images or actions as leverage in ongoing threats and extortion.”
The FBI has also mentioned that 764 criminals threaten victims with swatting, “doxxing” and other methods if they don’t comply with their perverse demands. (Read more)

28 dead, half a million without power as deadly storms, tornadoes sweep across central, eastern US

(AccuWeather) At least 28 people have died and dozens more were injured after a devastating wave of severe weather swept across the central United States late Friday into Saturday, leaving a trail of catastrophic destruction.
Large tornadoes have been reported in Missouri, Kentucky, Illinois and Indiana with hard-hit southeastern Kentucky reporting a majority of the fatalities. According to Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, there were 18 confirmed deaths in the state connected to the severe weather. The fatalities include 17 people in Laurel County and one in Pulaski County.
Images emerging at first light on Saturday from the town of London, about 75 miles south of Lexington, show entire neighborhoods razed with homes reduced to piles of shredded wood and debris, downed power lines, cars tossed all over the place and furniture strewn everywhere.
Laurel County resident Leslie Bott told reporters she sat in one of her family's destroyed cars with her daughter.
"She got scared so we went to the hallway and we were in there maybe two minutes because it's the only closed in area we have and my husband and son come running in and pretty much jumped on top of her because you could feel the air and everything sucking and it sounded like a train," Bott said. "We saw stuff falling and next thing you knew he said most of the house was gone."
Emergency crews were still searching the wreckage for survivors and assessing the full extent of the damage on Saturday morning. (Read more)

Mexican Navy Training Ship Crashes Into New York City’s Brooklyn Bridge, 2 Dead

|
Two people have died after all three masts of a Mexican navy ship crashed into the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City just before 8:30 p.m. EDT on the evening of May 17.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams said at a news conference at about midnight that two Mexican sailors had died after succumbing to their injuries and that two more were in serious condition.
“We are praying for everyone on board and their families and are grateful to our first responders who quickly jumped into action, ensuring this accident wasn’t much worse,” Adams wrote in a post on social media platform X.
The Mexican navy confirmed on X that its training ship, the Cuauhtémoc sailboat, was involved. It said in an update that 22 people were injured.
The 142-year-old bridge was spared major damage, Adams said.
A search and rescue operation responded to injured sailors who were standing on the masts of the ship at the time of the collision.
They were likely manning the yards, in an act of ceremonial respect that is conducted by the crew while docking or departing. Some were seen by witnesses still clinging to the lower section of the masts left standing after the upper halves had been snapped off upon impact.
“We saw someone dangling, and I couldn’t tell if it was just blurry or my eyes, and we were able to zoom in on our phone and there was someone dangling from the harness from the top for ... at least like 15 minutes before they were able to rescue them,” Lily Katz said.
The witnesses reported that the bridge visibly shook from the collision. As the masts of the ship hit the side of the bridge, hundreds of cars were still on it, crossing the East River.
Ship Loses Power
According to preliminary information, the pilot of the ship lost control because of a mechanical problem.
“The current, mechanical function, caused the ship to go right into the pillar of the bridge, hitting the mast of the ship where there was a couple of sailors on top of it,” Wilson Aramboles, New York Police Department chief of special operations, told reporters.
“These sailors were injured as a result of the mast striking the bridge.”
Witnesses also told Fox 5 that a tugboat was accompanying the ship at the time. There appears to have been some trouble, as the ship ended up moving north instead of south and out into New York Harbor.
After the collision, a tugboat was able to hold the ship in place in the East River between the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges.

While we continue to pray for the two families in Mexico who lost their loved ones in this tragedy, and for the others who are still grieving their loss in the accident in Baltimore, we also lift this matter to You, asking for all hidden things to be revealed so that these accidents will not happen again. Come, Lord Jesus, come.

Trump Administration Lays Out Five Reasons to Back 'One Big Beautiful Bill'

|
The White House is pointing to five key reasons it believes lawmakers should support the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” which is headlined by tax cuts.
The Trump adminsitration issued a press release Friday afternoon underscoring the tax overhaul, as well as the measures to boot illegal aliens off of Medicaid, to make permanent President Donald Trump’s border security measures, modernize air traffic control, and to halt tax dollars from going to child sex change procedures.
On the tax front, the White House touts that the bill includes permanent tax cuts, which it estimates will save Americans an additional $5,000 on average. The bill also includes Trump’s key campaign promises of nixing taxes on overtime and tips, while also cutting taxes on social security benefits for seniors.
Workers making $30,000-$80,000 annually would see about a 15 percent drop in taxes under the bill’s current form.
The administration points to a provision that would remove 1.4 million illegal aliens from Medicaid rolls as a second reason to back the bill.
Thirdly, the release underscores how “The One Big Beautiful Bill” addresses the southern border, including the hundreds of miles of border wall it would greenlight if it becomes law.
“As a result, 701 miles of primary wall, 900 miles of river barriers, 629 miles of secondary barriers, and 141 miles of vehicle and pedestrian barriers will be constructed — along with cutting-edge technology that will secure our homeland for generations to come,” the White House notes.
The White House also touts that the bill would give the necessary resources to Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to carry out “at least one million annual removals.” Additionally, it would direct the hiring of “10,000 new ICE personnel, 5,000 new customs officers, and 3,000 new Border Patrol agents.”

19th century shipwreck discovered off Australian coast highlights once common maritime ‘side hustle’

(CNN) — Beneath the rough waters of South Australia’s coast, marine archaeologists say they have discovered the lost Dutch merchant vessel Koning Willem de Tweede, which sank nearly 170 years ago. The wreck captures a tragic moment in maritime history during the 19th century Australian gold rushes.
The 800-ton sailing ship was beginning its journey back to the Netherlands in June 1857 when a severe storm capsized the vessel near the port town of Robe, according to a news release by the Australian National Maritime Museum. Two-thirds of the crew drowned.
Just days before, 400 Chinese migrants headed for gold mines in Victoria disembarked from the ship. The crew transported the laborers as a “side hustle” for extra money, according to James Hunter, the museum’s acting manager of maritime archaeology. The practice was a common but questionably legal voyage at the time, he said.
While the captain lived to tell the tale and litigate his losses, the bodies of his crew members remain lost in the sand dunes of Long Beach.
However, on March 10, after three years of searching for the site of the wreck, a team of divers supported by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Netherlands’ Cultural Heritage Agency spotted what they say is the sunken vessel.
“There’s always a little bit of luck in what we do,” said Hunter, who was the first diver to see the ship underwater. “The sand had just uncovered just a little bit of that shipwreck so that we could see it and actually put our hand on it and say ‘we’ve finally got it.’” Read More
