Over 30K attend largest Evangelical gathering in Belarus' history: 'A spiritual rebirth through Jesus Christ'

Franklin Graham shared the Gospel message with more than 30,000 people at a historic worship event in Minsk, Belarus over the weekend, encouraging attendees to experience “a spiritual rebirth through Jesus Christ.” The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association said attendance surpassed 15,000 people on both nights of the Festival of Hope in Minsk, Belarus, over the weekend. The event took place Saturday and Sunday at Chizhovka Arena in Minsk, the capital and largest city in Belarus.
“Tonight you can experience a new birth, a spiritual rebirth through Jesus Christ," Graham, the son of legendary evangelist Billy Graham, told the crowd. “Jesus didn’t come to condemn you; He came to save you. Jesus said, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’ There’s no other way to God. He made you and He loves you, but the only way to be forgiven of your sins and have a personal relationship with Him is through His Son, Jesus Christ.”
As CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Graham preached on both evenings and shared highlights from the weekend in a series of X posts. “It was an amazing night here in Minsk, Belarus! Beijing’s Newest Strategy in Corporate Warfare: Detain Executives to Kill Deals

Former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo warned that Chinese leader Xi Jinping’s comments to U.S. President Donald Trump on Taiwan should be viewed as a threat and urged Washington to judge Beijing by its actions after last week’s summit in China.
“Make no mistake: Xi Jinping’s statements on Taiwan to President Trump were a threat,” Pompeo wrote on X on May 15. “We need to be clear-eyed about his mission, and prepared to do the necessary to deter Communist China. President Trump gets that.”
Pompeo, who served as CIA director and then secretary of state during Trump’s first term, expanded on that warning in a Fox News interview on the same day. Asked whether Americans should believe the commitments Xi made during the summit, Pompeo said Beijing’s follow-through—not the summit language—would be the test.
“Xi Jinping has lied multiple times to multiple presidents,” Pompeo said. “The proof will be: Does he really follow through?”
Pompeo cited China’s previous commitments on fentanyl precursor chemicals and Xi’s 2015 pledge to then-President Barack Obama that China would not militarize artificial islands in the South China Sea. Beijing later built military facilities on disputed features in the region, drawing repeated objections from U.S. officials.
“The commercial arrangement, buying Boeing airplanes—that’s fantastic,” Pompeo said of one summit outcome. “Sounds like he made some commitments on fentanyl precursors. Father God, it would seem that Xi Jinping is becoming hesitant to do business with the US following his talks with President Trump. We ask You to go before Your son, Donald, open all doors that need to be opened providing the pathways to continued business with countries in Asia and the Middle East, we ask for new potential and options to be revealed.. We ask You to speak to President Trump, give him the wisdom, insight and understanding to develop new business partners and revenue for our nation. We ask this in the name El Roi, The God Who Sees everything.

Pompeo Says China’s Xi ‘Has Lied Multiple Times to Multiple Presidents,’ Calls Taiwan Comments to Trump a ‘Threat’

Taiwan emerged as one of the most sensitive issues surrounding the Trump–Xi meetings, after Beijing stated that the issue was discussed at the summit and warned that mishandling it could put the broader relationship at risk.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said after the summit that Taiwan was “the most important issue between China and the U.S.” and warned that if the matter is not handled properly, the two countries could face “clashes and even conflicts.” The Chinese regime claims Taiwan as its territory and has never renounced the use of force to bring the island under its control.
Trump said after the summit that Xi had pressed him on whether the United States would defend Taiwan, and he declined to answer.
Trump told Fox News anchor Bret Baier on May 15 that the United States was “not looking to have wars,” saying China could likely accept the current cross-strait situation if it remained unchanged. He also said Washington was not seeking to encourage Taiwan to declare independence on the assumption that it would have U.S. backing.
Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te, in a separate statement, said Taiwan is committed to defending the cross-strait status quo and has no intention of provoking or escalating conflict. At the same time, he said Taiwan would not yield to pressure from the Chinese Communist Party or give up its national sovereignty, dignity, democratic system, or way of life. Lai also said that there is no “Taiwan independence” issue because it is already a sovereign and independent democratic country governed under a liberal constitutional system. Breaking: Thomas Massie Loses to Trump-Backed Ed Gallrein in Hotly Contested Primary
|

|
Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky became the latest Republican incumbent to fall in the midterm primaries, losing to President Donald Trump-backed Ed Gallrein.
Gallrein led Massie by approximately a 9 percentage point margin on Tuesday night, NBC News reported.
Massie — who voted against some of Trump’s highest-profile legislation, including the Big Beautiful Bill last summer — had been leading in the race, based on polling, as recently as April, but multiple surveys released this month showed Gallrein moving ahead in the contest.
The race was the most expensive House primary race in U.S. history, with PAC spending topping $25 million.
At a rally in Kentucky in March, Trump noted that Massie also voted against a continuing resolution to keep the government open last fall.
The Kentucky lawmaker also voted for a War Powers Resolution in March, primarily supported by Democrats, to force Trump to end combat operations in Iran. (The Western Journal) Read more here.

The ruling comes as lawmakers continue battling over immigration enforcement funding and the scope of President Donald Trump’s second-term agenda.
The dispute highlights the increasingly tense battles over Senate procedure and reconciliation rules as Republicans work to advance key portions of President Trump’s agenda without Democratic support. Because reconciliation bills bypass the Senate filibuster, lawmakers must comply with strict rules governing what can and cannot be included in the legislation.
The proposed White House funding reportedly followed increased security concerns after an alleged assassination attempt tied to an event outside the White House complex. Lawmakers vote 53-0 in favor of a preliminary reading of an opposition bill sponsored by Blue and White MK Pnina Tamano-Shata, party chair Benny Gantz, and others to dissolve the Knesset.
The vote comes hours after lawmakers also unanimously approved a preliminary reading of a coalition-backed bill to dissolve the parliament.

3. Female soldier seriously wounded by explosive drone in southern Lebanon

An Israel Defense Forces female soldier was seriously wounded today (Wednesday), while a combat officer and two additional soldiers were moderately wounded as a result of an explosive drone impact in southern Lebanon.
Another combat officer and two additional soldiers were lightly wounded in the same incident. The injured soldiers were evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment, and their families were notified.
Earlier today, the commander of the 401st Armored Brigade, Colonel Meir Biderman, was seriously wounded, and a reserve combat officer was moderately wounded after another explosive drone strike in southern Lebanon. A reserve IDF soldier was also lightly wounded in that incident. (Read more)

On Wednesday, The Chief of the General Staff, Eyal Zamir held a discussion with all division commanders. As part of the discussion, Zamir conducted an operational situational assessment and addressed operational challenges across all sectors.
According to his statement, Zamir remained confident in the IDF's ability to handle a potential resumption in fighting.
“At this moment, the IDF is on the highest level of alert and prepared for any development," he said, stressing the need to maintain a high standard of values, professionalism, and operational discipline. Zamir went on to praise the work the IDF soldiers have done over the past few years. "The IDF’s achievements are thanks to your unprecedented fighting and sacrifice," he said.
However, the Chief of the General Staff warned that reserve forces are facing an "unimaginable burden." He went on to say, "In order to meet all missions and reduce the unimaginable burden placed on reserve personnel, we need to expand the circle of those serving." These statements come amid ongoing political debate in the Knesset over the potential passing of a bill that could see ultra-orthodox communities in Israel face conscription. Officials with the U.S. Department of Justice are announcing a federal indictment against former Cuban president Raúl Castro at a press conference in Miami, Florida Wednesday afternoon. The indictment was unsealed earlier on Wednesday, and reportedly includes charges of conspiracy to kill U.S. nationals, destruction of aircraft and murder.
Those participating in the event will include Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche; Attorney Jason A. Reding Quinones; FBI Deputy Director Christopher G. Raia; U.S. Senator Ashley Moody and Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier.
The event is being held at the Freedom Tower in Miami, which is famously known as the “Ellis Island of the South,” representing a “beacon of refugee” and the American dream. 4. Court Rules in Favor of LifeWise Academy’s Religious Rights - Million Voices
In the last week, a major legal battle in Washington state highlighted the ongoing fight for our most basic liberties. A federal judge has issued a vital court ruling protecting Christian students. This specific case involves LifeWise Academy and Everett Public Schools. The school district tried to stop this faith-based group from serving local families.
LifeWise Academy provides off-campus Bible instruction to public school students. They do this with written permission from parents during non-instructional school hours. However, school officials placed unfair and harsh rules on this Christian program. This is a clear case of illegal religious discrimination. The school district banned the group from community resource fairs.
They also stopped them from handing out flyers alongside secular groups. Even worse, officials forced students to hide their Bibles in backpacks during free reading time. Kids were treated as if their personal faith was somehow dangerous or wrong. (Read more) |

Stupidocrisy: When Words Become Permission for Violence

America has entered dangerous territory when elected officials and celebrities casually throw around words like “Nazi,” “terrorist,” “dictator,” and “traitor” against political opponents. In recent days alone, Democrat Congressman Seth Moulton compared Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to Nazi submarine captains. Tennessee State Rep. Justin Pearson called President Donald Trump a “white supremacist domestic terrorist.” Actor Mark Hamill posted an image of Trump in a grave with the words “If Only” before later apologizing. These are not isolated incidents. They are part of a growing culture where rage, hatred, and dehumanization are treated as entertainment and political strategy.
The problem grows worse because many Democratic leaders refuse to clearly condemn the rhetoric coming from their own side. Silence has become permission. When people with influence normalize hatred, unstable minds eventually act on it.
The US already has experienced repeated political violence connected to this poisonous climate. President Trump has endured multiple assassination attempts and credible threats over the past several years, more than any modern president since Eisenhower. Researchers and political analysts increasingly warn that inflammatory rhetoric fuels what experts call “stochastic terrorism,” where emotionally charged public attacks inspire individuals to commit violence on their own. FDA Shakes Up Leadership as Pro-Lifers Hope for Progress on Abortion Pill Review

|
Leadership changes continue at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), with more high-level departures after FDA Commissioner Marty Makary’s exit. The effect of these changes remains to be seen, but pro-life advocates hope the personnel shake-up will also shake loose the stalled review of a Biden-era policy that removed critical safeguards around the use of mifepristone, the chemical abortion drug.
At least three high-ranking FDA officials have departed since Makary’s sudden resignation last Tuesday. Acting Director of the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) Tracy Beth Høeg refused to sign a letter of resignation and was subsequently fired. Høeg was the fifth acting director of CDER during the second Trump administration (acting officials can serve no longer than 210 days in positions requiring Senate confirmation) and was influential in altering the FDA’s recommended immunization schedule, a policy change now blocked in federal court.
Katherine Szarama, acting director of the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER), was also pushed out of her role, although she will remain at the FDA in a different capacity. Szarama had served as acting CBER chief for only 10 days, following the departure of Vinay Prasad, who left at the end of April, days before Makary.
Additionally, FDA chief of staff Jim Traficant was also removed from the position he had held since March 2025, although the former health executive will stay on with the FDA in an advisory role.
Mike Davis, Høeg’s former deputy, replaced Høeg as acting director of CDER. FDA advisor Karim Mikhail took over for Szarama as acting director of CBER. And FDA Deputy Commissioner and Special Counsel Lowell Zeta succeeded Traficant as acting chief of staff.
All three top personnel changes came within just a few days of Makary’s sudden departure and his replacement by FDA Deputy Commissioner for Food Kyle Diamantis as acting commissioner. (Washington Stand) Read more here.

We pray that as these shakeups continue in the FDA that the new leadership will review and stop the use of this dangerous pill that could put women's lives at risk and abort precious babies. Lord, let the Biden-era policy that removed the critical safeguards around the use of mifepristone, the chemical abortion pill drug, be brought to an end! Lord Jesus, we pray that the Trump Administration would enforce the Comstock Act, which prohibits the mailing of anything intended for use in an abortion.
Father, we pray, we hope and we wait for the day that You will destroy the spirit of Baal that lingers in America that brought about the destruction of children and that women will see that everytime an abortion takes place, they are destroying future generations. Speak to their hearts, Holy One! In the Name of Jesus, we pray. Amen and Amen.

HHS Reinstitutes Trump-Era Religious Liberty Protection Office

President Donald Trump and his administration are restoring a religious liberty office dismantled under former President Joe Biden. The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced on Monday that it is reorganizing its Office of Civil Rights (OCR) and establishing three divisions: the Conscience and Religious Freedom Division, the Civil Rights Division, and the Health Information Privacy, Data, and Cybersecurity Division. The Conscience and Religious Freedom Division was originally established by Trump in 2018, during his first term. Under Biden and his Health Secretary, new California gubernatorial candidate Xavier Becerra (D), the division was eliminated.
“This reorganization restores the HHS Civil Rights Division and the Conscience and Religious Freedom Division and strengthens the Office for Civil Rights’ ability to defend religious liberty, enforce conscience protections, and combat unlawful discrimination,” Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. said in a statement. He added, “Under President Trump’s leadership, HHS will defend these rights with clarity, accountability, and resolve.” HHS OCR Director Paula M. Stannard said, “This reorganization reinstitutes a structure that rightly prioritizes civil rights and conscience and religious freedom alongside health information privacy and security.” She observed, “All three areas are deserving of subject-matter expertise and distinct senior executive leadership for OCR to best serve the American people.”
According to an HHS press release, the Conscience and Religious Freedom Division is charged with protecting “the fundamental and unalienable rights of conscience and religious freedom” and will “advance the protection of conscience rights, address race-based discrimination in a color-blind manner, eradicate antisemitism and anti-Christian bias, and restore biological truth.”
The Washington Stand has learned that the Conscience and Religious Freedom Division will “serve as a headquarters-level division dedicated to advancing voluntary compliance by regulated entities with federal statutes and regulations related to conscience and religious freedom in health and human services,” according to an HHS official. While the official policies and mechanism of the Conscience and Religious Freedom Division have yet to be formally announced, they division’s work is expected to protect pro-life Americans and American Christians from being pressured or coerced into participating in abortions, gender transition procedures, and other procedures which conflict with a biblical worldview.
“The Division will stand for the principle that it is fundamentally unfair to coerce, treat differently, persecute, or penalize an individual or organization for acting in accord with its religious or moral beliefs when those actions constitute protected conduct under Federal law,” the HHS official told The Washington Stand. “Many providers of health care and human services are motivated by their religious beliefs or moral convictions, and they should not be driven out of Federal programs because of those convictions.” (The Washington Stand) Read more here.

Greetings from New York City.
While attention is focused on the rapidly changing developments in the Middle East, the continuous work taking place each day within the different UN bodies and agencies remains to be done — as does the need to pray for wisdom, discernment, and protection for leaders navigating these critical decisions.
As we watch human kingdoms shake, we are reminded of King Nebuchadnezzar’s prophetic dream in the book of Daniel, where a massive statue representing the mighty empires of the world was suddenly struck and completely crushed by a supernatural stone, cut out from heaven by no human hand (Daniel 2:34). God is King of kings and Lord of lords; He will bring down tyrants and evil structures among the nations. This is why we must pray for wisdom, discernment, courage, and protection for leaders in this hour. Let us also raise our voices on behalf of all those oppressed by darkness and continue to bless Israel.

- Please pray for all people who are currently affected by war in the Middle East and Ukraine. Pray for God to take down the tyrants supernaturally and “without the help of human hands” because He deserves all honor. We read in Job 34:20 (ESV), "In a moment they die; at midnight the people are shaken and pass away, and the mighty are taken away by no human hand."
- Please pray for the current evaluation process for the next Secretary General of the UN. Pray for the person of God’s choice to become the next leader of the UN. Read the article on the timesofisrael.com.
- Pray for a dismissal of the court case before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) accusing Israel of genocide. So far, the US, Fiji, Hungary and Paraguay have stepped up to support Israel before the court. This case has an approximate timeline for the final judgement not likely before late 2027 or early 2028.

Greek officials have unveiled the interior of a massive ancient tomb possibly linked to Alexander the Great as archaeologists continue excavation and restoration work.
Greece's Ministry of Culture announced the news in a statement on May 11.
The excavation centers around the Kasta Tomb in Amphipolis, the ruins of an ancient Macedonian city in northern Greece, about 60 miles northeast of Thessaloniki.
