Nobody should go alone’:

1,500 strangers honor WWII veteran with no known family
The mourners started arriving hours early — veterans in uniform, strangers clutching American flags, police officers lining the route — all for a Massachusetts World War II Navy veteran many feared would be buried alone.

But when John Bernard Arnold III, 98, died May 6 with no known living family, a public plea from Hanover-Hanson Veteran Services sparked an extraordinary response, with roughly 1,500 people turning out Monday in Hanson, Massachusetts, to give him a hero’s farewell.

"This veteran passed away with no known family to attend his services," Hanover-Hanson Veteran Services wrote on Facebook. "Let’s send him off the way a veteran should be." They did.

Arnold’s flag-draped coffin was carried into Saint Joseph the Worker Church as strangers packed the church grounds outside, many of them having never heard his name before the call went out.

"Nobody should have to go alone, I don’t care who you are," funeral attendee Jim Pearce told WCVB.

After the funeral Mass, a long police motorcade escorted Arnold to Cedar Knoll Cemetery in Taunton, where bagpipes played, veterans saluted, and American flags were handed out to mourners lining the procession.

"We’ll never let one of our veterans pass without being honored and sent off with respect and dignity, the way that a veteran should be to their final resting place," fellow veteran Joe Campbell told WHDH. (Fox News) Watch Video Here
Abba, this story warms our hearts for the faithful love displayed towards Veteran John Bernard Arnold III ! We praise You for the compassion shown to this remarkable 98 year old man and pray that he knew You as his personal Lord and Savior. Bless each participant who honored him through their presence. We rejoice at his beautiful homecoming celebration, displaying genuine respect and dignity for a courageous life well-lived! In Jesus powerful Name we pray- Amen.

Ivanka Trump targeted for assassination by IRGC terrorist in twisted plot to avenge president taking out his mentor
First Daughter Ivanka Trump was targeted for assassination by an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) trained terrorist in a twisted plot to avenge the president taking out his mentor, The Post has learned.
Recently captured Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi, 32, made a “pledge” to kill Ivanka and even had a blueprint of her Florida home, sources claimed.
The Iraqi national was allegedly targeting President Donald Trump’s family in response to the killing of Iranian military chief Qasem Soleimani in a US drone strike in Baghdad six years ago.
“After Qasem was killed, he [Al-Saadi] went around telling people ‘we need to kill Ivanka to burn down the house of Trump the way he burned down our house,'” Entifadh Qanbar, a former deputy military attaché in the Iraqi embassy in Washington told The Post.

“We heard that he had a plan of Ivanka’s house in Florida,” Qanbar added. A second source also confirmed Al-Saadi’s plot to kill Ivanka.
Al-Saadi also posted a picture of a map showing the enclave in Florida where Ivanka and husband Jared Kushner have a $24 million home on X, alongside a chilling threat in Arabic which translates to: “I say to the Americans look at this picture and know that neither your palaces nor the Secret Service will protect you. We are currently in the stage of surveillance and analysis. I told you, our revenge is a matter of time.”
Al-Saadi is said to be a high-ranking figure in Iraq-Iran terror circles, arrested in Turkey on May 15 and extradited to the US where he is charged with 18 attacks and attempted attacks throughout Europe States, per the Department of Justice.
He’s been behind attacks on US and Jewish targets including the firebombing of the Bank of New York Mellon in Amsterdam in March, the stabbing of two Jewish victims in London in April and a shooting at the US consulate building in Toronto, also in March, according to the DoJ. (New York Post) Read more here.
Lord, we praise You that this terrorist was arrested before he could harm the President's daughter. We continue to pray for Your protection for all of our leadership and their families in the Name of Jesus.

"No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.” (Isaiah 54:17)

US House Republicans Cancel Iran War Powers Vote

Republican leaders of the US House of Representatives unexpectedly canceled a vote on Thursday on a resolution seeking to end the Iran war unless President Donald Trump obtains Congress’ authorization, two days after a similar measure advanced in the US Senate.

The vote had been scheduled to take place late Thursday afternoon, just before lawmakers left Washington for their Memorial Day recess.

The House had blocked three previous war powers resolutions in close votes earlier this year, with near-unanimous support from Republicans, underscoring the strong backing for the Iran war and the president within his party.

But the margins had become increasingly narrow—the last resolution failed on a tie vote—as weeks passed since the US and Israel began striking Iran on February 28.

Thursday’s measure looked likely to pass, given expected defections by a handful of Republicans and the absences of others.

“We had the votes without question, and they knew it,” Representative Gregory Meeks, the top Democrat on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, told reporters after the vote was canceled. He said the chamber’s Republican leaders had delayed the vote until early June, after the Memorial Day recess.

Democrats, and a few Republicans, have called on Trump to come to Congress for authorization to use military force, noting that the US Constitution says that Congress, not the president, can declare war.

They have expressed concerns that Trump may have entered the country into a long conflict without setting out a clear strategy. (World Israel News) Read more here.

Lord, we pray over President Donald Trump, that he is getting the finest wisdom and direction on what he can and cannot do regarding the war with Iran. We pray that our United States representatives would support our country and our president in the decisions that he makes and that we would all be in Unity in Jesus' name, amen.

"Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together."  (Hebrews 10:24-25)

Trump demands widespread sign-up to Abraham Accords as part of Iran peace deal
US President Donald Trump on Monday urged Muslim-majority nations across the Middle East and beyond to normalize relations with Israel as part of the emerging Iran peace deal.

In a lengthy social media post, Trump listed countries whose leaders he spoke with in a conference call on Saturday about efforts to end the war with Iran. They govern the normalization of diplomatic relations between Israel and countries that have historically been hostile to it.

While the accords were welcomed in diplomatic circles as a step towards a more peaceful Middle East, they remain unpopular among the public in many parts of the region, not least because they do not address the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman told Trump in November 2025 that the kingdom was open to joining the Abraham Accords, as long as there was “a clear path” toward a two-state solution.

“It may be possible that one or two have a reason for not doing so, and that will be accepted, but most should be ready, willing, and able to make this Settlement with Iran a far more Historic Event than it would, otherwise, be,” Trump wrote in his Truth Social post. “It should start with the immediate signing by Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and everybody else should follow suit. If they don’t, they should not be part of this Deal in that it shows bad intention,” he wrote.

Trump even implied that Israel’s bitter enemy — Iran — should sign on to the accords. “If Iran signs its Agreement with me, as President of the United States of America, it would be an Honor to have them also be part of this unparalleled World Coalition,” Trump wrote. (Breitbart) Read more here.
Heavenly Father, your word tells us, “If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men” (Romans 12:18). We are to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. But we are also warned not to divide Your holy land or scatter your covenant people, Israel. We pray against any plan that would divide Your land and touch the Apple of Your eye.

Trump Lays Wreath at Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Honors America's Fallen on Memorial Day

President Donald Trump laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery to commemorate Memorial Day and honored America’s fallen in remarks thereafter.

Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth stood with the president during the ceremony. The Star Spangled Banner and Taps preceded and followed the president’s laying of the wreath.

Trump, Vance, Hegseth, and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine, then delivered remarks in the amphitheater.

“With reverent hearts, we honor those who fell so that our republic might stand, those who died so that our nation could live, those who gave up their sacred light on earth so that the sublime light of American freedom would shine forever and ever,” Trump said.

“This Memorial Day, we salute them, we exalt them, and we thank them for all that we have and for all that they gave. They gave everything. God bless our fallen heroes,” he added.

Trump vowed to Gold Star families that their loved ones who died for the United States will never be forgotten.

Vance spoke to the debt Americans owe their fallen, and the enormous sacrifices those soldiers made for the country.

In his remarks, Hegseth stressed that the United States and its freedoms were paid for with “American blood.”

“This solemn day, we must remember that our republic was forged and purchased with blood, American blood. So take pause today and consider the transformation these warriors went through for our nation. Share it with your kids and your grandkids. We must,” he said.

“Ordinary men, when called, can become our heroes. They fought not because they hate what’s in front of them, but because they love what’s behind them,” he added. (Breitbart)

Lord we lift our fallen men and women who served our nation from its founding and we just pray a special blessing over them and their families Lord that you would prosper them and help them walk in favor in all that they do. We truly honor and remember all those who fought for what we enjoy every single day. We are so thankful and grateful for our nation and the freedoms and luxuries that we have that others don’t. We do not take it for granted and we wholeheartedly realize that we are weak and nothing without you, Lord. Continue to bless our nation and help us, in Jesus' name, amen.

1. Netanyahu orders IDF to 'hit the gas' on Hezbollah strikes amid drone strikes in northern Israel - Jerusalem Post

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that he ordered the IDF to "hit the gas," striking Hezbollah, noting that the military had already killed "more than 600 Hezbollah terrorists in the last few weeks."

"We will hit them. That's right, they are shooting drones at us, fiber drones. We have a dedicated team working on that, and we will resolve it as well. In the meantime, you are showing resilience," Netanyahu said, adding that he wanted to "congratulate the residents of the north for a resilience that inspires all of us."

"But what this requires of us now is to increase the blows, to increase the force. We will hit them on the shin and thigh," he concluded. (Read more)

2. Disturbing footage: Hezbollah begins using FPV drones at night
- Israel National News

Disturbing footage published by the Hezbollah terrorist organization on Monday shows, for the first time, the use of explosive FPV drones equipped with a thermal camera, an initial indication that the organization can strike IDF soldiers at night as well.

According to Kan News, the footage came from an incident that occurred at 9:40 p.m. near the village of Ras el-Bayada, in south-western Lebanon, during which two soldiers were moderately and mildly injured.

Until now, Hezbollah has used its explosive drones exclusively during the daytime, and the IDF adapted its operations to be conducted in the dark. While it was clear that it was only a matter of time, it appears that Hezbollah has obtained a new capability. (Read more)

3.  Zamir tells cabinet Israel must continue Hezbollah strikes amid drone attacks and casualties - World Israel News

Negotiators continue discussions on a proposed ceasefire agreement aimed at ending the Iran conflict, with a requirement to halt fighting in Lebanon.

A US official said that Hezbollah had ignored repeated requests for a ceasefire with Israel: “Hezbollah ignored repeated requests for a ceasefire with Israel. Israel will respond to attacks targeting its soldiers and civilians. This is not the Biden administration,” thea official said.

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir told Israel’s security cabinet that military operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon must continue amid ongoing attacks on Israeli forces and mounting casualties, sources told The Jerusalem Post. (Read more)

4. Filing submitted against Hamas at ICC on behalf of Palestinian from Gaza - JNS

A filing has been submitted to the International Criminal Court (ICC) on behalf of a Palestinian from Gaza calling for 14 Hamas leaders to be investigated for war crimes committed against the Palestinian people, an American lawyer said last week.

The legal move, which was made in December, has gone unanswered even as ICC prosecutors have reportedly requested a warrant for the arrest of Israel’s finance minister, Bezalel Smotrich.

The filing, the first such against the terror organization on behalf of a Palestinian, was made for a Gazan who lost his spouse, children, a parent, nieces and nephews during the two-year war sparked by the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas-led attack on southern Israel, according to his legal team.

“The atrocity crimes perpetrated by Hamas against [REDACTED] family members, and against substantially all of the Palestinian civilian inhabitants of Gaza, constitute grave breaches of international criminal law,” the filing reads. “Yet to this day, there has never been a disclosed OTP [Office of the Prosecutor] investigation or request for issuance of warrants for any of the Hamas leaders ... complicit in war crimes and crimes against humanity that they committed against the civilian Gazan population.” (Read more

5. Israel Accuses Erdogan of ‘Crushing Turkish Democracy’ After Police Storm Opposition Headquarters - Algemeiner

Israel on Monday accused Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of “crushing” democracy in his own country, lambasting Ankara’s use of police force against political opposition figures.

“The free world and the self-appointed guardians of democracy and human rights remain silent as Erdogan’s regime crushes Turkish democracy in broad daylight,” Israel’s Foreign Ministry posted on social media. “Opposition parties raided. Critics silenced. So much for defending democratic values.”

The post came one day after Turkish riot police forced their way into the main opposition party’s headquarters to evict its ousted leadership. (Read more

1. The White House wants to eliminate housing funds. Republicans aren’t having it. - POLITICO

House Appropriations Chair Tom Cole (R-Okla.) dropped in on a House Transportation-HUD subcommittee meeting and reminded his colleagues to “remember the power of the appropriation committee is here, and we will make those decisions.”

“I can assure you, we’re not going to sustain cuts of that kind of magnitude in these programs,” he added, referring to popular bipartisan block grants as well as funding for Native American housing.

House Republicans have subsequently advanced a draft HUD budget this week that retains the grants, although it recommended lowering HOME’s funding level next fiscal year.

House Transportation-HUD appropriations chair Steve Womack (R-Ark.) told POLITICO that the federal budget is “going to need to be bipartisan, and anybody that fails to realize that is just not living in reality.” (Read more)

2. Exclusive: Trump official tried to ban half of US voting machines, citing conspiracy theories - Reuters

WASHINGTON, May 22 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump’s election-security czar last year sought to ban voting machines used in more than half of U.S. states by asking whether the Commerce Department could declare their components national-security risks, according to two people with direct knowledge of the matter.

White House adviser Kurt Olsen, a lawyer Trump has tasked with proving widely debunked election-rigging conspiracy theories, pushed the plan to target Dominion Voting Systems machines.

Olsen wanted a national system of hand-counted paper ballots, the sources said, a frequent Trump demand some election-security experts say would be less accurate and potentially riskier than the current system of machines with auditable paper trails that almost all cities and states use.

The plan to exclude the machines, reported here first, got far enough that in September, Commerce Department officials began exploring what grounds could be invoked to execute it, three additional sources said. It eventually collapsed, however, because Olsen and other administration staffers working with him failed to provide evidence to justify such a move, two of the sources said.

The episode is part of a far-reaching Trump administration push to encroach on state and local governments’ authority to run elections – which is granted to them in the U.S. Constitution to prevent the executive branch from seizing power. (Read more)

3. Netanyahu Told Trump Israel Will Remain Free to Act Against Threats, Israeli Source Says - The Algemeiner

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told US President Donald Trump Israel would remain free to act against threats in Lebanon during a phone call about an emerging agreement between Washington and Iran on Saturday, an Israeli source said.

Trump said Washington and Iran had “largely negotiated” a memorandum of understanding on a peace deal that would reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a vital shipping passage that has been effectively closed since the U.S. and Israel launched their war on Iran in February.

“In last night’s conversation with President Trump, the Prime Minister emphasized that Israel will maintain freedom of action against threats in all arenas, including Lebanon, and President Trump reiterated and supported this principle,” the Israeli political source told Reuters on Sunday, asking not to be named. 4.  IDF Chief in the north: IDF prepared to resume combat against Iran immediately - Israel National News

The Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir, conducted a situational assessment and approved operational plans for the continuation of combat in the Northern Command on Sunday together with the General Staff Forum.

Later, Zamir visited the headquarters of the 401st Brigade, where he met with the acting commander of the brigade, Col. (res.) H., and spoke with commanders and troops.

During the visit, Zamir expressed appreciation to the brigade’s commanders and troops and wished a speedy recovery and return to duty to brigade commander Col. Meir Biderman, who was injured in an incident in southern Lebanon last week.

“The IDF continues to monitor regional developments, and is prepared to resume to intense combat operations immediately and to further weaken the Iranian terror regime and its capabilities," Zamir said.

“We will maintain readiness and operational flexibility for as long as required. In the Northern Command, we continue to strike Hezbollah’s terror across all dimensions. I emphasize - the security of the residents and the security of our troops are above all else," he added. (Read more)

5. Christians Are Turning to Artificial Intelligence for Spiritual Guidance, Survey Finds - Crosswalk.com

A recent survey reveals that a significant portion of practicing Christians are open to trusting AI for guidance on life's most important questions, including spiritual growth and purpose, even ranking its advice as comparable to a...

Scripture teaches Christians to seek God’s Word for wisdom and truth, but a new survey shows many believers would trust artificial intelligence for answers, too.

The new research from Barna Group, in partnership with Gloo, found that 54 percent of practicing Christians say they would completely or somewhat trust AI’s advice for “having a sense of meaning or purpose in life,” while 48 percent would trust it for advice on growing spiritually.

Practicing Christians express a high level of trust in AI on other issues, too.

More than six in 10 (62 percent) of practicing Christians say they would trust AI with advice on achieving financial stability, while just over half say they would trust it for advice on mental and physical wellbeing (56 percent), feeling happy and content with life (56 percent), understanding and expressing one’s true self (54 percent) and building meaningful relationships with others (53 percent).

“What we’re seeing is that Christians are genuinely open to AI as a support for the domains that matter most to them – wellbeing, purpose, even spiritual growth,” said Daniel Copeland, Barna’s vice president of research. “That level of openness is higher than we might have expected, and it holds across multiple areas of flourishing.”

But Christians have fears about AI, too.

An overwhelming majority (83 percent) of practicing Christians say they’re concerned about AI misrepresenting Scripture, while 72 percent say they’re concerned about it beginning to act as a replacement for God. A large majority (73 percent) are also concerned about people losing their religion due to AI.

About one-third of practicing Christians (34 percent) believe spiritual advice from AI is just as trustworthy as advice from a pastor – a percentage that is higher than that of the general population (30 percent). Among Gen Z, nearly two in five (39 percent) agree, while among Millennials, the figure climbs even higher to 44 percent. (Read more)

Lord, we pray that people look to You and to Your Word for answers of well-being, purpose, and spirituality in their lives. And we pray for the churches to preach the Word of God to bring answers to those who are seeking  to find well-being, purpose, and spiritualityin their lives. AI delivers comfort, encouragement, and nonjudgment. And therefore, we pray the church does a better job at that.

6. International Day for the Unreached seeks to 'light up' the map for billions of people without the Gospel - Christian Post

An Indian man who once wanted nothing to do with Christianity says the power of prayer and the miraculous healing of his sick brother after meeting two evangelists opened his heart to Jesus Christ, a decision that came at the cost of family relationships and social standing.

“Very often in India, people come to Christ through miracles, through healings especially,” David Bogosian, director of the Alliance for the Unreached, told The Christian Post in an interview ahead of the International Day for the Unreached, an annual Pentecost Sunday observance intended to raise awareness about the billions of people worldwide who do not have access to a church, Bible teaching or Christian community.

Today, the Indian man, who is not identified for security reasons, serves with the Third of Us Alliance, a campaign launched by the Alliance for the Unreached to draw attention to the roughly one-third of the world’s population still living with little or no access to the Gospel message. From Sinai to Pentecost, One God, One Promise, One Fire

The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, May 25, 2026

Shavu’ot, a biblical feast many Christians know through its New Testament counterpart, Pentecost, marks fifty days after Passover and commemorates the giving of God’s law at Mount Sinai. For many Christians, Pentecost can feel like a stand-alone New Testament moment, but Scripture tells a far richer story. God was continuing a plan set in motion centuries earlier. In Exodus 19:5, Israel arrives at Sinai, where the Lord declares, “If you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people.”  This was covenant language, a calling into relationship, obedience, and purpose, setting the stage for something even greater still to come.

At Sinai, God’s presence came with unmistakable power. Exodus 19:16-18 says, “All the people who were in the camp trembled... Mount Sinai was completely in smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in fire.” Then came the commandments, God’s holy standard for His people. Deuteronomy 16:16 reminds Israel that these appointed feasts were meant to be remembered and observed, commanding, “Three times a year all your males shall appear before the Lord your God in the place which He chooses... at the Feast of Weeks.”  This is important because Acts 2 unfolds during this very feast. The disciples were not randomly gathered. They were there because as faithful Jews, as well as disciples of Christ, they observed Shavu’ot. God chose that exact moment to reveal the next chapter of His covenant work. Read More

How Christians in Cuba Are Engaged in Civic Resistance under The Current Regime
In his seminal work “The Politics of Nonviolent Action,” political scientist Gene Sharp cataloged 198 methods of nonviolent action. Wherever tyranny existed, the American scholar found a hopeful and creative form of civic resistance emerging from diverse populations. Through sit-ins, musical performances, and countless other forms of expression, men and women across the globe voiced their dissent against specific policies or systems.

Among these methods, Sharp included the “protest or support assembly.” He classified it as a method of “protest and persuasion,” aimed at making public support — or opposition — to a specific cause visible, while seeking to mobilize citizens and exert pressure on opponents without resorting to violence.

In Cuba, the long history of resistance against totalitarianism has involved recourse to both violence and peaceful demonstrations. And within this civic landscape, the protest or support assembly has carved out a space — one that is currently being championed by young Christians.

There are precedents. In April 2021, evangelical leader Marcos Antonio Perdomo was interrogated by the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) in Santiago de Cuba. He was reprimanded for continuing to hold worship services, thereby defying the Castro regime’s COVID-19 lockdown orders. (The Washington Stand) Read more here.
Holy Father, we pray that You will soon release Cuba from the Communist regime that has caused suffering among the people for many decades. Thank You for Christians who have been standing strong against the evil that threatens them.

Hantavirus exposure risk may be higher than believed in parts of US, study finds
Researchers found unusually high hantavirus levels in rodents in the Pacific Northwest, suggesting greater exposure risk in the surrounding agricultural communities.

The area with the biggest prevalence is the Palouse region, which includes parts of eastern Washington and north-central Idaho in the Pacific Northwest.

Researchers from Washington State University's College of Veterinary Medicine found unexpectedly high levels of Sin Nombre virus (SNV), which is the strain most strongly linked to hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS) — among local rodent populations. (Fox News) Read more

God's Heart for Restoration of First Nations - 40 Day Devotional
INTNL.PRAYER CONNECT
This heart cry comes from the depths of the earth, from the blood of the Host People, the First Nations, the Indigenous peoples, of all nations.

Jason and I have only heard this cry because of deep covenant friendships with Ivan and Linda Doxtator, Art George, and Jean Steffenson. Many others have made this Fast possible, too many to name, such as Jay Swallow (deceased), Neigel Bigpond, Larissa Koenig, and many unknown, unsung heroes of the faith.

It is a sound coming up from the bowels of the earth like the wailing of Abel's blood spilling because of the hardened heart of Cain, a wailing that the Father of all Creation endures day and night.

And a simple question came from the heart of the Father, “Where is Abel your brother? And he said, I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper? 10 And [the Lord] said, What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to Me from the ground.” Genesis 4: 9-14

A remnant across Canada, USA, and Mexico referred to as Turtle Island by many tribes have heard this cry, asking for the healing ministry of Jesus Christ through the power of the Gospel! Movements of Repentance and Reconciliation have swept over the land since the 90’s. First Nation leaders have graciously released forgiveness to the Church, Government, and Marketplace leaders, before any sign of contrition on their part.

Repentance by First Nation leaders for their vile offences to their Creator because of their false worship, and idolatry and reconciliation toward one another because of their own history of murder and hatred between each other for territory, resources, enslavement and sexual abuse from one to another.
