‘Do It, Lord!’: House Overwhelmingly Approves Melania-Backed Bill Fighting Revenge Porn
|
|
A bipartisan group of representatives in the House overwhelmingly passed an anti-revenge porn bill backed by first lady Melania Trump.
“We are just beginning, but this is a huge victory!” Joshua Broome, a former porn star turned Christian minister and influencer, wrote in an Instagram post celebrating the news. “[D]o it, Lord!”
The Tools to Address Known Exploitation by Immobilizing Technological Deepfakes on Websites and Networks, known as the TAKE IT DOWN Act, was approved by a 409-2 vote. It now heads to President Donald Trump’s desk for his signature.
If enacted, the bill “generally prohibits the nonconsensual online publication of intimate visual depictions of individuals, both authentic and computer-generated, and requires certain online platforms to promptly remove such depictions upon receiving notice of their existence,” according to a summary of the act.
The proposed law states offenders will be subjected to prison time, fines — or both — for posting “intimate visual depictions,” both real and computer-generated, of adults or minors, without their consent or with harmful intent, NPR reported.
“Today’s bipartisan passage of the TAKE IT DOWN Act is a powerful statement that we stand united in protecting the dignity, privacy, and safety of our children,” said the first lady. “I am thankful to the Members of Congress — both in the House and Senate — who voted to protect the well-being of our youth.” (FaithWire) Read more here, including the names
of members who introduced this bill. May God bless each one!

|
- Father we celebrate the House passing the TAKE IT DOWN ACT for the protection of children and women everywhere. May this law cause all unlawful online intimate depictions to cease! We pray for justice to prevail in large-scale against all sexual exploitation and sex trafficking. We declare together, 'Do it, Lord', and bring wide-exposure and accountability for those involved and restore our nation back into Your righteous ways! In Jesus Mighty and Holy Name-Amen.

Trump Demands ‘Bigger, Badder’ Alcatraz To Lock Up Nation’s Worst Criminals
|
|
President Donald Trump announced Sunday evening that he wants to bring back one of America’s most feared prisons — Alcatraz — and make it bigger than ever.
In a Truth Social post that lit up the internet, Trump said that the infamous island prison off the coast of San Francisco should be “rebuilt, enlarged, and reopened” to incarcerate the nation’s “most ruthless and violent offenders.”
Trump slammed what he called a “justice system too afraid to act” and took aim at activist judges, sanctuary cities and the Biden administration’s border failures, saying that violent criminals are allowed to roam free while Americans live in fear.
Trump outlined a plan to direct the Department of Justice, Bureau of Prisons, FBI and Homeland Security to carry out the reopening of Alcatraz — this time, with a significant expansion. Trump described the future facility as a “symbol of Law, Order, and JUSTICE.” (Daily Caller) Read more here.

|
- Lord God, we thank you for this decision which will further protect our nation and its security. We pray that all terrorists and all violent offenders will be found out and apprehended quickly. And we thank you, Lord, for continuing to give our nation victory over all of our enemies, in Jesus' name. Amen.
- “Now this I know: The LORD gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand.” (Psalm 20:6)

EXCLUSIVE: House Subcommittees To Hold Hearing Investigating ‘Woke Nonsense’ At Bureau Of Prisons
|
|
Two subcommittees of the House Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing on Tuesday to examine operations of the Bureau of Prisons, seeking to improve the agency’s operations.
The House Judiciary Committee’s Crime and Oversight subcommittees, chaired by Republican Reps. Andy Biggs of Arizona and Jeff Van Drew of New Jersey, will hear from Prison Fellowship Senior Vice President of Correctional Programs Cody Wilde, One Voice United Executive Director Andy Potter and Unify.US Senior Vice President and General Counsel Patric Purtill during the hearing, according to information about the upcoming hearing obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation. Van Drew told the Daily Caller News Foundation that “woke nonsense” had distracted the agency, which faces “serious problems.”
“For years, the Bureau of Prisons has faced serious problems like staffing shortages, outdated infrastructure, and a lack of accountability,” Van Drew told the DCNF. “Politics and bureaucracy have gotten in the way of doing what is right. What we are finally seeing now under President Trump is a push to bring common sense back into the system. That means cutting out the woke nonsense, focusing on safety, and making sure every dollar is spent wisely.”
“We owe it to the dedicated correctional officers who put their lives on the line every day to give them the support they need,” Van Drew continued. “These are the kinds of changes that should have happened a long time ago, and I am proud to be part of the effort to hold the BOP accountable and get things back on track.” (Daily Caller) Read more here.

- Lord God, we understand that politics and bureaucracy have gotten in the way of doing what is right, so we thank you that now, under President Trump, there is a push to bring common sense back into the management of the Bureau of Prisons (BOP). We pray that our leaders would focus on cutting out the woke nonsense, focusing on safety, and making sure that every dollar is spent wisely, in Jesus' name. Amen.
- “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones.” (Proverbs 3:5-8)

Houthi missile hits Ben-Gurion Airport, wounding six, disrupting flights
|
|
A ballistic missile fired from Yemen struck near Israel’s Ben-Gurion International Airport on Sunday morning, lightly to moderately wounding six people, and disrupting takeoffs and arrivals.
The attack triggered air-raid sirens across central Israel, including in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and the Shfela/Judaean Foothills. Several attempts were made to intercept the missile, according to the Israel Defense Forces.
The U.S.-made THAAD system attempted to intercept the missile but failed, as did Israel’s Arrow system, Channel 14 military correspondent Hillel Bitton Rosen reported. Authorities are investigating whether the blast near Terminal 3 was caused by a direct hit, missile fragments or interceptor debris. Police bomb squads and security forces remain on scene.
Magen David Adom updated its casualty figures on Sunday afternoon, reporting that six people were treated and transported to hospitals: a man in his 50s in light to moderate condition with limb injuries; two women, ages 54 and 38, in light condition due to blast-related trauma; a 64-year-old man lightly wounded by flying debris; and two women, aged 22 and 34, who were hurt while running for shelter.
The victims were evacuated to Shamir Medical Center (formerly known as Assaf Harofeh Medical Center) in Be’er Ya’akov and Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer in Ramat Gan.
The incident sparked panic at the airport. Police and rescue personnel quickly cordoned off the impact area at Terminal 3 and dispatched fire teams to check for additional hazards.
The airport workers’ union chairman said one person suffered a confirmed minor injury near Terminal 3, and authorities are currently investigating whether further safety procedures will impact upcoming flights.
In a statement on Sunday afternoon, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed that “there will be blows” in response to the attack.
“We are acting against them,” Netanyahu said of previous IDF military operations against the Houthis in Yemen. “We have acted in the past, and we will act in the future. I cannot detail everything.
“The U.S., in coordination with us, is also acting against them. It’s not a one-and-done, but there will be blows,” vowed the Israeli premier.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz vowed a forceful response. “Whoever harms us, we’ll harm them sevenfold,” he said. (Times of Israel) Read more here.

|
- Lord God we pray for all those who have been harmed by this attack that you would comfort them, in Jesus' name. We pray for increased wisdom over Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu and his staff about how to handle this situation, in Jesus' name. Amen and amen.
- (For the people of Israel) “Comfort, yes, comfort My people!” Says your God." (Isaiah 40:1)

Most foreign airlines halt flights to Tel Aviv after Houthi missile hits airport
|
|
Major foreign airlines, including German carrier Lufthansa, France’s Air France, US carrier Delta and Hungary’s Wizz Air, on Sunday canceled their scheduled flights to Tel Aviv, after a ballistic missile from Yemen struck inside the grounds of Israel’s main airport, Ben Gurion International.
By Sunday late afternoon, only a few foreign airlines were still confirmed to be flying.
Among European airlines, the Lufthansa group — which also includes SWISS, Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines — halted all flights to Ben Gurion Airport scheduled to depart on Sunday from Frankfurt, Vienna, Zurich and Munich, until Tuesday.
“Due to the current situation, the Lufthansa Group has decided to suspend its flights to and from Tel Aviv up until and including May 6,” Lufthansa said in a statement. “Affected guests will be notified and rebooked on alternative flights, subject to availability.”
Wizz Air announced it was canceling its flights to Israel until Tuesday morning while “closely monitoring the situation.” Spanish airline Air Europa halted its scheduled flight departing from Madrid to Tel Aviv, citing “security reasons.” (Times of Israel) Read more here.

According to the military, the strikes carried out by some 20 IAF fighter jets targeted Houthi infrastructure along the coast of Yemen, including at the Hodeidah port and a concrete factory near the nearby city of Bajil, some 2,000 kilometers from Israel.
The jets dropped 50 munitions on the Houthi targets, the military said, publishing images showing the jets preparing for takeoff. IAF refuelers and spy planes also participated in the operation.
The Israel Defense Forces said the Hodeidah port was used by the Houthis “for the transfer of Iranian weapons, equipment for military needs, and other terror purposes.” (Read more)

“The security cabinet unanimously approved the operational plan presented by the chief of staff to defeat Hamas in Gaza and bring back the hostages,” a senior political source said after the meeting.

The plan presented by IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir will see the IDF take control of territory in Gaza, move the civilian population toward the south, attack Hamas, and prevent the terror group from taking control of humanitarian aid.

5. Turkish warplanes face off with Israeli fighters over Syria - World Israel News
An aerial confrontation took place between Israeli and Turkish forces in Syrian airspace, according to media reports on Sunday.
According to the Sözcü Turkish opposition media, Turkish F-16s reportedly entered Syrian airspace over the weekend and sent “warning messages” to Israeli planes involved in a wave of strikes there.
The Israel Defense Forces denied such reports. According to the Turkish media outlet, the incident occurred as part of one of the most intense Israeli operations since the fall of the Assad regime.
Several of the strikes’ targets were reportedly pro-Turkish militias operating in northern Syria, including the Sultan Murad and Suleyman Shah brigades, which are affiliated with Ankara.
According to various Turkish sources and Reuters, Turkey seeks to strengthen its military presence in Syria in the post-Assad era, and these warnings come in this context as Israel has also asserted its military force. (Read more)

1. Jay Bhattacharya announces NIH ‘got rid’ of all beagle experiment labs - Washington Examiner
Distressing and cruel medical experiments conducted on beagles at the National Institutes of Health that have resulted in the deaths of thousands of dogs are no more. All the projects that performed tests on beagles have ended.
“We got rid of all of the beagle experiments on NIH campus,” NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya said during an interview on Sunday on Fox & Friends Weekend.
Bhattacharya’s announcement about closing the beagle testing labs comes after years of petitions to end the program and a post on X from Elon Musk claiming that the Department of Government Efficiency would investigate testing conducted on the canines.
The White Coat Waste Project, a bipartisan government watchdog organization dedicated to ending the taxpayer-funded testing on animals, celebrated NIH’s shutdown of labs. The organization claimed in a post on X that “2,133 beagles perished here in cruel septic shock experiments.” (Read more)

2. DHS unleashes possible money-saving measure for illegal aliens to self-deport: 'Safest option' - Fox News
The Department of Homeland Security will front the cost of commercial flights and provide a $1,000 stipend to illegal aliens who opt to self-deport from the United States in a move DHS says will save thousands of dollars.
The department says this will be 70% cheaper for American taxpayers, as it currently costs DHS, on average, over $17,000 to arrest, detain, and deport someone. DHS told Fox News that paying for aliens to remove themselves, even with the stipend, is anticipated to cost only around $4,500 on average.
The stipend would not be paid until it was verified that an individual self-deported. Aliens will use the CBP Home self-deportation app to access this assistance, and DHS expects self-removals, already in the thousands, to ramp up significantly with this announcement. (Read more)

3. President Trump makes announcement about movie industry - DML News
President Donald Trump announced Sunday evening that movies need to be made in the United States of America, and if they’re not, they will be slapped with a steep tariff.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote:
The Movie Industry in America is DYING a very fast death. Other countries are offering all sorts of incentives to draw our filmmakers and studios away from the United States. Hollywood, and many other areas within the U.S.A., are being devastated.
This is a concerted effort by other nations and, therefore, a National Security threat. It is, in addition to everything else, messaging and propaganda! Therefore, I am authorizing the Department of Commerce, and the United States Trade Representative, to immediately begin the process of instituting a 100% tariff on any and all movies coming into our country that are produced in Foreign Lands. More than 7,000 people were baptized Saturday in the waters off Huntington Beach, Calif., in what organizers called the largest single-day baptism event in American history -- and a milestone leading up to an even larger gathering planned for June.
It was the second year in a row for the "Baptize California" gathering, which saw 6,000 baptized along Huntington Beach last year but a record 7,750 this year.
The all-day event stretched until the evening, with men and women, young and old alike, lining up to publicly declare their faith in the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean as well as in portable baptistries. Speak Life—Not Leshon Hara
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, May 5, 2025
In the ancient world of Israel, Tzara’at was a physical affliction with spiritual implications. Often mistranslated as “leprosy,” Tzara’at wasn’t just a skin disease—it was a divine response to inner corruption, particularly slander and gossip (leshon hara). In Leviticus, the afflicted were sent outside the camp, a painful picture of both physical and social isolation. Why such a harsh consequence for words? Because words build or destroy. Proverbs 18:21 tells us, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” The Talmud expands this idea, teaching that slander harms not only the one spoken about, but also the speaker and the listener. Tzara’at was God’s way of making visible what was festering spiritually.
Fast forward to the Gospels. In Luke 5:12–14, a man “full of leprosy” falls at Jesus’ feet, begging to be cleansed. Rather than withdrawal, Jesus touches him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” In a world where such a man was shunned, Jesus didn’t offer ritual—He offered compassion. And this gets to the heart of something deeper: Jesus prioritized mercy over mechanics. Hosea 6:6 says, “For I desire mercy and not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.” Jesus quoted this often. He knew people could keep temple rituals and still carry venom in their speech. But a merciful heart changes the atmosphere. Read More

God’s Protective Hand over Ben-Gurion Airport Lifted for Brief Moment: A potential prophetic turning point - William Koenig

May 4, 2025
Israel’s National Gateway Breached
Israel’s Ben-Gurion Airport has long stood as a symbol of national strength and resilience. Throughout the years, it has withstood relentless threats from Iranian missiles, Hezbollah barrages, Hamas rocket fire, and launches by the Houthis. Its survival has often been attributed to Israel’s superior missile defense systems — Iron Dome, David’s Sling, Arrow, and the U.S.-deployed THAAD. But for many, another shield has been equally responsible: the unseen hand of the God of Israel. (Watch.org)

Soviet spacecraft to crash land on Earth
in less than 2 weeks
|
|
Kosmos 482 was launched in 1972, but will soon make an uncontrolled return to Earth. Here's where the defunct spacecraft may crash land.
A Cold War-era spacecraft is about to return to Earth, the final leg of its failed mission to explore one of our closest cosmic neighbors.
Kosmos 482 was launched by the Soviet Union in 1972 to travel to Venus and pass through the planet's thick atmosphere. However, an issue with the launch left the spacecraft in limbo orbiting the Earth for decades. Fast forward 53 years, and it is about to make an uncontrolled reentry into Earth's atmosphere.
"Because the probe was designed to withstand entry into the Venus atmosphere, it is possible the probe (or parts of it) will survive reentry at Earth and reach the surface," NASA said.
The probe is expected to return to Earth between Wednesday, May 7, and Tuesday, May 13.
Where could Kosmos 482 crash land?
Experts tracking the defunct spacecraft estimate it could reenter the atmosphere anywhere between 52 degrees north latitude and 52 degrees south latitude. This includes all of Africa, South America, the contiguous United States, Australia and New Zealand, most of Europe and most of Asia.
The massive area of the globe also includes most of the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean. Since there is more water than land in the expected reentry area, odds favor the spacecraft landing in an ocean, but there is still a risk it could hit land.
