Praise Report: Hollywood Turning to Worship

In a notable shift within the entertainment industry, mainstream platforms are increasingly embracing Christian themes and artists. This trend was evident during the recent Easter Sunday episode of “American Idol” and at the Stagecoach Festival, where faith-based performances took center stage. On April 20, 2025, “American Idol” aired its first-ever faith-themed episode, titled “Songs of Faith.” The three-hour special featured performances from the Top 20 contestants, as well as appearances by Grammy-winning gospel artist CeCe Winans, Brandon Lake, and Jelly Roll. Judges Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan also participated, each delivering songs that reflected their personal faith.
Underwood, a known advocate for integrating faith into mainstream media, was instrumental in bringing the Easter special to fruition. Despite internal debates among the show’s crew regarding the appropriateness of a religious-themed episode, Underwood’s commitment to the project underscored a growing acceptance of faith-based content in Hollywood. Stagecoach is a festival long known for its secular roots, country music celebrations, and party atmosphere centered around good times. India launches strikes on terrorist camps in Pakistan
|

|
India said it attacked "terrorist infrastructure" in neighboring Pakistan on Wednesday in two of its occupied territories, killing at least one child and wounding two other people in what Pakistan has called a "blatant act of war."
The Indian armed forces launched "Operation Sindoor," which targeted terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed, the Press Information Bureau of India said in a statement.
"Our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature," India’s Defense Ministry said in a statement. "No Pakistan military facilities have been targeted."
"India has demonstrated considerable restraint in selection of targets and method of execution," the statement said.
The missiles launched Wednesday struck locations in Pakistan-administered Kashmir and in the country's eastern Punjab province. A mosque in the city of Bahawalpur was struck, killing a child, and a woman and man were injured, one Pakistani security official said.
The attack occurred in a remote valley only accessible on foot or by horse, and survivors claimed after the attack that the gunmen had accused some of the victims of supporting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"In an unprovoked and blatant act of war, the Indian Air Force, while remaining within Indian airspace, has violated Pakistan’s sovereignty using standoff weapons, targeting civilian population across international border in Muridke and Bahawalpur, and across Line of Control in Kotli and Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir," a spokesperson for Pakistan's Foreign Ministry said. "India’s act of aggression has resulted in martyrdom of civilians, including women and children. This act of aggression has also caused grave threat to commercial air traffic." US Embassy warns Americans in Central American country of mass shooting threat

State Department urging Americans to reconsider travel to Honduras because of high levels of crime
|

|
Americans in Honduras were being warned about a potential mass shooting on Tuesday and on May 16 at several locations in the Central American nation's capital, Tegucigalpa.
The U.S. Embassy issued a security alert on Tuesday, saying it had received information about a mass shooting threat for Tuesday and next week.
"The U.S. Embassy in Honduras has received information of a threat of a mass shooting to take place today, May 6, in Tegucigalpa," the alert states. "The source also threatened such an event on May 16. The three target locations mentioned are the Elliot Dover Christian School in Tegucigalpa, the Centro Civico in Tegucigalpa, and an unnamed mall in Tegucigalpa."
The Elliot Dover Christian School is a bilingual school in the capital and the Centro Civico is a government complex of office towers. (Fox News) Read more here.

Noem calls for the death penalty following maritime human smuggling attempt that left child dead
|

Homeland Security Secretary Kristin Noem called for the death penalty in the wake of a disastrous maritime human smuggling operation that left one child, and at least two others, dead.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California announced charges Tuesday against five illegals in an alleged human smuggling attempt gone wrong that resulted in at least three deaths, including a 14-year-old boy from India.
According to the attorney’s office, witnesses observed an overturned panga boat at a beach in Del Mar, California, on Monday. The statement said bystanders and San Diego lifeguards attempted rescue efforts, and law enforcement officials recovered three bodies, including a 14-year-old boy identified in court records as "P.P.B."
The boy’s mother and father and two others were rescued and are hospitalized. The father is in a coma. The deceased child’s 10-year-old sister is still "missing at sea" and presumed dead.
Two Mexican nationals, Julio Cesar Zuniga Luna, 30, and Jesus Juan Rodriguez Leyva, 36, were arrested at the beach and were charged with bringing in aliens resulting in death and bringing in aliens for financial gain. They face possible death sentences or life in prison and a $250,000 fine for the first charge and penalties of ten years in prison with a three-year mandatory minimum and a $250,000 fine for the second.
Earlier in the evening Noem posted on X:
"This tragic loss of life underscores the deadly reality of maritime human smuggling and why Congress authorized the death penalty when human smuggling results in a death. I am urging the Attorney General to prosecute the suspects to the fullest extent under the law." (Fox News) Read more here.

Second Navy fighter jet goes overboard from Truman aircraft carrier, pilots ejected
|

|
Two U.S. Navy pilots ejected while attempting to land a fighter jet on an aircraft carrier on Tuesday, resulting in the aircraft being lost in the Red Sea, the second such incident in a week, Department of Defense officials said.
An F/A-18F Super Hornet, attached to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 11, was landing on the flight deck of USS Harry S. Truman "when the arrestment failed, causing the aircraft to go overboard," the official told Fox News Digital.
Both pilots in the aircraft ejected and were rescued. The warplane went overboard into the sea and has not been recovered.
"The aviators were evaluated by medical personnel and assessed to have minor injuries. No flight deck personnel were injured," the official said.
The incident occurred just over a week after another F/A-18F Super Hornet went overboard on the USS Truman.
The $67.4 million aircraft was lost when it was actively under tow in a hangar bay when the crew lost control of the aircraft.
Sailors towing the aircraft took "immediate action" to move clear of the aircraft before it fell overboard, the Navy said.
At the time, officials said the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group, a coalition of U.S. warships deployed to the Red Sea, and an air wing remained fully mission-capable. (Fox News) Read more here.

Father God, we give You praise also because no one was hurt when the arrestment failed to function in helping to stop the jet before reaching the end of the aircraft carrier landing strip. We ask Your help in determining why the arrestment did not deploy as it should have and what needs to be done to ensure it never happens again. Jesus, we ask that You be part of the internal investigation into this incident, bring all things that are in the shadows into the light. Give all concerned the courage to admit errors made, provide them all with Your wisdom in determining an effective plan ensuring all will go as planned going forward. 1. Katz: ‘Gideon’s Chariots’ to last until Hamas defeat, release of every hostage - JNS
Israeli troops are set to “act with great force” until all war goals for Gaza, including the defeat of Hamas and securing the release of every hostage, are achieved, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz warned on Wednesday.
The entire population of the Gaza Strip will be evacuated to the southern part of the enclave during the fighting, and the Israel Defense Force will stay in “every area that is taken,” the defense minister said.
“The operation is intended to defeat Hamas and bring about the release of all the hostages. We will act with great force to destroy all of Hamas’s military and governmental capabilities,” he told soldiers of the IDF’s 162nd “Steel Formation” Armored Division, which is expected to take part in the ground campaign, dubbed “Operation Gideon’s Chariots.”
“From the moment the maneuver begins, we will act with great force and will not stop until all objectives are achieved,” Katz continued. (Read more)

2. Exclusive: US, Israel discuss possible US-led administration for Gaza, sources say - Reuters
JERUSALEM, May 7 (Reuters) - The United States and Israel have discussed the possibility of Washington leading a temporary post-war administration of Gaza, according to five people familiar with the matter.
The "high-level" consultations have centered around a transitional government headed by a U.S. official that would oversee Gaza until it had been demilitarized and stabilized, and a viable Palestinian administration had emerged, the sources said.
According to the discussions, which remain preliminary, there would be no fixed timeline for how long such a U.S.-led administration would last, which would depend on the situation on the ground, the five sources said. (Read more)

A senior American official delivered unusually sharp criticism of Israel’s conduct in hostage negotiations and warned that the United States is prepared to finalize a regional agreement with Saudi Arabia, even without Israeli participation, N12 reported on Wednesday.
According to the report, the remarks were made during a meeting Monday night between the official and the families of hostages held by Hamas.
According to several people who attended, the US official said that Washington is growing increasingly frustrated with Israel’s approach to the stalled talks.
“If until now they paid the price of not ending the war, today the price will be much heavier for Israel — and not just for the hostages,” the official reportedly told participants. “President Trump is determined to move forward with a significant deal with Saudi Arabia, even without Israeli involvement. 4. Jenin transforming from terror stronghold into ghost town amid IDF ops

More than 100 terrorists have been killed and approximately 320 wanted individuals arrested since the launch of Operation Iron Wall in the West Bank, the IDF announced on Wednesday.
Over 700 terrorists have been eliminated in the northern West Bank since the start of the ongoing war. This development comes amid a significant rise in terror alerts in the West Bank, particularly in Hebron, which is considered a Hamas stronghold.
In recent months, ongoing operations by the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and the IDF in northern Samaria — including military incursions into refugee camps — have led to a sharp decline in Palestinian terrorist activity. 1. FBI has opened 250 investigations tied to violent online network '764' that preys on teens, top official says - ABC News
FBI officials say they are growing increasingly concerned about a loose network of violent predators who befriend teenagers through popular online platforms and then coerce them into escalating sexual and violent behavior -- pushing victims to create graphic pornography, harm family pets, cut themselves with sharp objects, or even die by suicide.
The online predators, part of the network known as "764," demand victims send them photos and videos of it all, so the shocking content can be shared with fellow 764 followers or used to extort victims for more. Some of the predators even host "watch parties" for others to watch them torment victims live online, according to authorities.

2. Chaplains Could Soon Start Supporting Teachers In Schools - Poll 2 Action
The Alabama House approved a bill in April (91-4) in favor of allowing chaplains in schools to support teachers.
House Bill 179 is sponsored by Republican Rep. Mark Gidley of Hokes Bluff, according to the Alabama Daily News. “What we’re trying to do is offer to our teachers — teachers only, not students — the opportunity to have a resource that they can go to to get counseling to get help if they’re struggling with something and they don’t have a person they can talk to that will be confidential and non-partial,” Gidley said of the bill.
“So many of our teachers are under great stress in their job and other things too and we want to do all we can to give them every resource possible to help preserve them and conserve them,” he added. If the bill is approved, it could take effect as early as July 1, 2025. This would allow chaplains on campuses as early as the 2025-26 school year. (Read more) |

3. Minnesota Bill Aims To Fund Murder Of Unborn Children - Poll 2 Action
Minnesota’s House of Representatives are currently deliberating the establishment of a “health equity grant fund” to continue funding abortions after refusing to support women through pregnancy and maternity centers.
If passed, HF 1278 would create $30,000,000 in funding for “abortion providers, uncompensated care, and to increase” the availability and access for women to receive abortions throughout the state. Centers that practice abortion are apparently undergoing a major funding crisis in Minnesota, suggesting that many of these centers aren’t receiving the same type of support from donors that they once did, according to the Hamlin Oracle.
Tax-payer funded abortions are apparently increasing throughout state-level legislation, with lawmakers seeming to do more to ensure children are killed before birth that making their lives more livable once they arrive, according to Live Action. Democrats recently shot down a bill that would have provided funding for pregnancy centers and maternity homes, instead pushing for medically-induced abortions instead. (Read more) |

4. Trump Announces First Wave Of Federal Court Nominations - Daily Caller
With 46 current judicial appointments to make, President Donald Trump began the process Tuesday by nominating five judges, in addition to one last week, according to a list shared with the Daily Caller.
Over the past few weeks, the Senate has been awaiting Trump’s long-awaited judicial nominees. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told the Caller in March that she did not have an update on when the nominations or vetting would begin but said she would provide a list of names to the outlet. The White House provided a list of six judges being nominated to federal courts, including one judge to serve on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit who was appointed earlier.

5. Republican budget bill boosts oil and gas production, scraps environmental review - Just The News
Republicans are using the budget reconciliation process to push through sweeping energy reforms despite Democratic opposition, including streamlining the permitting process for oil and coal production on federal lands.
During a bill markup Tuesday, the House Committee on Natural Resources outlined its section of the upcoming reconciliation megabill. With over $15 billion in savings and new revenue for the federal government, the committee’s proposed bill more than satisfies the $5.8 trillion budget reconciliation instructions telling the committee to find $1 billion in cuts.
Roughly $12 billion in revenue would come from the bill’s expansion of onshore oil and gas leasing on federal lands, while about $3 billion would come from mandating increases in offshore leasing, both of which the Biden administration significantly curtailed. (Read more) |

6. Pam Bondi Reveals What The Holdup Is With Epstein File Release - Daily Caller
Attorney General Pam Bondi told reporters Wednesday that the FBI is still reviewing “tens of thousands” of child porn videos that were in the possession of Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein committed suicide while awaiting trial after he was arrested in 2019 on sex charges. Bondi was asked about the delay releasing the documents pertaining to Epstein by a reporter after announcing plans for a press conference Wednesday.
“The FBI, they’re reviewing… there are tens of thousands of videos of Epstein with children or child porn and there are hundreds of victims and no one victim will ever get released, it’s just the volume and that’s what they’re going through right now,” Bondi said. “The FBI is diligently going through that… I’ll call him later.”

Stupidocrisy: Obama-era Policies, Islamic EPIC City in Texas Threaten America

Recent developments surrounding EPIC City, Texas—a private Muslim-led development project—have reignited concerns over how deeply embedded Islamic ideology has become in the American fabric, not organically, but through deliberate policy choices by the Obama and Biden administrations. Despite fact-checkers and mainstream outlets like the BBC and Snopes downplaying fears of “Sharia law cities,” the underlying truth is harder to ignore: Islamic expansion in the US has been aided by decades of appeasement and strategic partnerships with the Muslim Brotherhood (MB), a group with a clearly documented agenda to “sabotage” Western civilization from within.
According to public records and trial evidence from the Holy Land Foundation case, the Muslim Brotherhood’s stated goal is a gradual takeover of America through legal, political, and cultural means. Obama-era policies provided key accelerants to this process. As reported by The Daily Jot in 2009 and 2011, the Obama administration not only welcomed Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated individuals into advisory roles, but also pushed “democratic” reforms in the Middle East (Arab Spring) that effectively installed radical Islamic regimes, as seen in Egypt and Libya. Federal court orders North Carolina certify 2024 Supreme Court race

A federal judge ordered North Carolina officials to certify the result of last year’s state Supreme Court election, dismissing challenges to certain ballots by Republican Jefferson Griffin.
Griffin’s campaign disputed the legality of the registration of the 60,000 voters, saying they did not provide photo identification, in violation of state law, or did not have a driver’s license or Social Security number on file. Judge Richard Myers of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina ruled Monday night that the State Board of Elections should proceed with certifying the November 2024 election based on the latest recount, which showed incumbent Democrat Allison Riggs leading Griffin by 734 votes.
“Retroactive invalidation of absentee ballots cast by overseas military and civilian voters violates those voters’ substantive due process rights,” Myers wrote in his Monday ruling. “The cure process violates the equal protection rights of overseas military and civilian voters; and The lack of any notice or opportunity for eligible voters to contest their mistaken designation as Never Residents violates procedural due process and represents an unconstitutional burden on the right to vote.”
Myers ruled that the State Board of Elections must not proceed with the process of curing or invalidating any of the disputed ballots under previous state court rulings.
The decision has been stayed for seven days to allow Griffin to appeal if he elects to do so. The Griffin campaign has not announced its next steps following the decision. An appeal would go to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit.
If the district court’s ruling holds and Riggs is victorious, the state Supreme Court would stay at a 5-2 GOP advantage, while a Griffin victory would increase the Republican advantage to 6-1. (Washington Examiner) Read more here.

GOP Sen. Thom Tillis said Tuesday he has told the White House he will oppose Ed Martin’s nomination to be the top federal prosecutor for the District of Columbia, a potentially fatal blow to his already dicey confirmation chances.
Tillis spoke to reporters after meeting with Martin on Monday night. The North Carolinian, who is seeking reelection next year, had previously signaled he had concerns with Martin’s nomination as U.S. attorney because of his previous comments related to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack and his work defending those who took part in the riot.
“I have no tolerance for anybody that entered the building on Jan. 6, and that’s probably where most of the friction was,” Tillis said Tuesday. Senate Majority Leader John Thune told reporters after Tillis’ comments that Martin is now unlikely to emerge from the Senate Judiciary Committee. Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin, the top Democrat on the panel, said “in practical terms” Martin’s nomination is dead. The Supreme Court on Tuesday sided with the Trump administration in allowing the Department of Defense to enforce its ban on most transgender military service members while litigation continues.
In a brief order, the justices granted the administration’s emergency request to stay a lower court injunction that had blocked the policy, which bars individuals with gender dysphoria or those who have undergone gender transition medical procedures from serving in the armed forces.
Solicitor General John Sauer argued the injunction improperly intruded on the president’s core military powers, noting that the Supreme Court had allowed a similar Trump-era ban to take effect in 2019.
Sauer told the court the ban was rooted in science and that courts owe the executive branch “substantial deference” on military matters.
The justices’ 6-3 decision, to which Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, and Ketanji Brown Jackson dissented, means the ban will remain in place while the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals hears the government’s appeal — and, if the justices take the case, until the Supreme Court ultimately rules.
