'Time to begin healing together':
Israeli hostage couple reunited after 738 days
|
|
An Israeli couple who were abducted during the 7 October 2023 Hamas attacks have been reunited, two years after they were violently split up.
Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or were seized at the Nova music festival. Video of Ms Argamani being dragged away in terror on the back of a motorbike became one of the most widely recognised images of the attacks.
She was rescued by Israeli commandos on 8 June 2024. Mr Or, who was held separately in central Gaza, was released on Monday - one of 20 living hostages to be returned as part of the ceasefire brokered by US President Donald Trump.
In a post on Instagram, Ms Argamani said the couple could now begin "healing together". (BBC News) Read More Here>

- Father, we REJOICE alongside Noa and Avinatan, now reunited after two years of being separated, with horrific etched images before the entire world of their October 7, 2023 separation. We celebrate Your miraculous Hand and their new life journey together! We ask for healing, physically, spiritually and mentally upon them and every released hostage who by Your mercy survived the trauma. Come alongside each one and release Your Balm of Gilead upon Your people, so they may be fully restored. May they be touched with the revelation of Yeshua and His unwavering love for each of them. We give You all PRAISE in their holy-restoration from the years that the locust have eaten! We pray in the mighty Blood and Name of Jehovah Rapha, 'The God who heals'. Amen and Amen.

Trump's Peace Deal Will Soon Be Tested
|
|
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to the terms laid down for ending the war in Gaza and freeing the hostages, which included both an Israeli withdrawal to agreed-upon lines inside the Strip as well as a painful release of imprisoned terrorists with blood on their hands.
But aside from releasing the living hostages and presumably also the bodies of slain captives they've been holding, it's far from clear that Hamas has any intention of fulfilling the rest of the demands put upon them by Trump, including disarming and giving up their control of Gaza. That's despite the fact that those points were essential to getting Israel to agree to ending its offensive into Gaza City aimed at wiping out the remnants of the terrorists' forces.
Hamas won’t give up
Instead, we're told that Hamas's surrender will only come about as part of negotiations that have been put off so as not to have them interfere with the achievement of the hostages' release. That was the upshot of an interview with the prime minister of Qatar published in The New York Times the day before the hostage release.
Many observers have assumed that the hostages were the only leverage that Hamas still had in negotiations with Israel and the United States. But it's clear now that this might be wrong. Perhaps with the prodding of their Qatari funders and allies--who have, with the help of Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff and presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner, wormed their way into Trump's good graces--the terrorists have realized that their cruel insistence on holding onto the hostages was actually an impediment to their potential survival. - Father God, there is a saying that it's not over until it's over. We decree that this crisis (or war) is now OVER, and we ask that You grace all who are working within the Trump administration with Your divine wisdom as they work to enforce the components of this Peace Treaty. Thank You, Lord God, for hearing our prayer, amen and amen.

After Return of Loved Ones, Families of Freed Hostages Thank People of Israel, IDF and President Trump
|
|
Families of the 20 hostages who returned from Hamas captivity on Simchat Torah, have begun releasing statements on the status of their returned loves ones, after they were held captive for two years.
As was already clear from some of the Hamas propaganda videos, the hostages were kept in poor conditions and most were given only the minimal amount of food to keep them alive during that time. Some of the statements by the families reflect the difficult state in which the hostages returned.
At the same time, many of the families thanked the people of Israel, the IDF, and especially U.S. President Donald Trump for helping to secure the release of the hostages. Notably, some of the families omitted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from their thanks, reflecting the divided opinions among Israelis on Netanyahu’s performance during the war. - Abba Father, we join with former hostages, their families and the citizens of Israel in giving our highest thanks and praise to You for the deliverance of Your twenty sons held captive in Gaza. We pray for Your sovereign touch upon each of the twenty men, bringing healing wherever needed--body, soul and spirit. May Your Holy Spirit supply wisdom, knowledge and tailor-made resources to families, loved ones and all medical personnel chosen to assist in the rehabilitations. We ask that You do what only You can do in each of their lives, bringing much good out of the horror and terror and deprivation each hostage was forced to endure in Gaza.

Key Takeaways as US Government Shutdown Enters 3rd Week
|
|
Troops get paid, and Trump plans program closures as congressional leaders maintain their positions. The federal government shutdown enters a third week as the Senate again failed to pass a continuing resolution to provide a temporary extension of funding, which expired on Sept. 30.
Democrats refuse to authorize additional funding until Republicans negotiate over their health care proposals.
Republicans say any negotiations should take place through the regular appropriations process, which can be completed
once the government reopens.
Here’s the latest on the state of the shutdown.
Troops Get Paid
Some 1.3 million active-duty service members received a paycheck on Oct. 15 after Trump ordered that certain unspent federal funds be used to issue one-time pay.
That may be the last paycheck that they receive until the shutdown ends, according to House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.).
Johnson said the administration would arrange pay for Capitol police as well, if a similar mechanism can be found.
Americans Feel Pain
Approximately 400,000 federal employees have been furloughed. Those workers received a partial paycheck on Oct. 14 but may not be paid again until the shutdown ends.

- Lord God, You are a mighty God of Order! We earnestly ask that You bring that order to our government, that all in Congress would hear Your voice and consider the welfare of our nation. This chaos is not from You, Mighty God! We bind the spirit of chaos, in Yeshua’s name, and loose the spirit of order and cooperation on Capitol Hill!
We do pray for those who need paychecks and other resources that are on hold for now. Until government funding issues have been resolved, we ask for Your divine help for those in need; we speak Shalom to their hearts and minds and ask for Your mercy so that individuals and families have food and other needed resources. However, we say “NO, in Yeshua’s name” to continuing this shutdown and pray for cooperation from both sides of the aisle. Show them the way out of this mess, Lord, where they cannot see it or refuse to see it. Visit each lawmaker in the night with visions and dreams. Hear the desperate cries of those in need at this time. We ask for ORDER in our government, especially with regard to the federal budget. Thank You, Father God, for the Victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!

Ex-National Security Advisor John Bolton indicted for improper handling of classified documents
|
|
Former National Security Advisor John Bolton was indicted on 18 counts by a federal grand jury
|
|
Former White House National Security Advisor John Bolton was indicted Thursday on 18 counts related to the improper handling of classified materials, Fox News Digital has learned.
According to the indictment, Bolton was indicted on eight counts of transmission of National Defense Information and ten counts of retention of National Defense information.
"From on or about April 9, 2018, through at least on or about August 22, 2025, BOLTON abused his position as National Security Advisor by sharing more than a thousand pages of information about his day-to-day activities as the National Security Advisor—including information relating to the national defense which was classified up to the TOP SECRET/SCI level—with two unauthorized individuals, namely Individuals 1 and 2," the indictment reads. "BOLTON also unlawfully retained documents, writings, and notes relating to the national defense, including information classified up to the TOP SECRET/SCI level, in his home in Montgomery County, Maryland."
The documents Bolton transmitted were sent to two individuals unauthorized to view classified documents.
The documents were all classified as "TOP SECRET."
"The FBI’s investigation revealed that John Bolton allegedly transmitted top secret information using personal online accounts and retained said documents in his house in direct violation of federal law," said FBI Director Kash Patel. "The case was based on meticulous work from dedicated career professionals at the FBI who followed the facts without fear or favor. Weaponization of justice will not be tolerated, and this FBI will stop at nothing to bring to justice anyone who threatens our national security."
Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a statement, "There is one tier of justice for all Americans.
"Anyone who abuses a position of power and jeopardizes our national security will be held accountable," she said. "No one is above the law." (Fox News) To read many more
details about these indictments, please go here.

|
- Father God, we thank You that the FBI has done its job, and that this traitor has been caught. We ask for justice to rule in this matter, and that others of like mind will take note and cease from turning classified information to any foreign power. We ask this in Your Name, amen and amen!

1. Israeli Hostages Describe Systematic Starvation, Torture, Isolation, Forced Conversions in Hamas Captivity - Algemeiner
Israeli hostages who returned from Gaza on Monday began giving structured accounts of their captivity that described torture, starvation, prolonged isolation, confinement in underground cages, and efforts by their Hamas captors to convert them to Islam.
Several freed hostages said they were kept alone for months at a time with little food or light. Avinatan Or, abducted from the Nova music festival in October 2023, spent more than two years in isolation and saw other hostages only at the point of release. An initial medical examination found he had lost between 30 percent and 40 percent of his body weight and relatives said he had been “starved and terrified” for extended periods, Israel’s Channel 12 reported.
Or was reunited with his girlfriend, former hostage Noa Argamani, who was released in a rescue operation by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in June 2024, along with three other hostages. He did not know about Argamani’s fate until his release. The two were featured in a viral video filmed by Hamas of their kidnapping, becoming symbols of the acts of terrorism of that day. (Read more)

2. ‘Hamas is killing hundreds’: Head of Khan Younis militia pleads for international community to protect Gazans against Hamas executions - Times of Israel
Hossam al-Astal, a militia leader operating with Israeli support in the Khan Younis area of southern Gaza, demands that the world protect Gaza’s residents from Hamas’s terror, amid a wave of executions and killings carried out by the terror group.
In a video obtained by The Times of Israel, al-Astal thanks US President Trump for his efforts toward the ceasefire, but adds that after saving Gazans from Israeli bombardment, the president should now save them from Hamas.
“Hamas is killing hundreds of children, women, youths and elderly people. Under what charge? We came out of a military war into a war of terrorists,” he declares. “Today, Hamas is waging terror against the people in Gaza, killing with RPGs. Hamas is 100% ISIS,” he says, calling on the international community to protect Gaza’s residents from Hamas. (Read more)

3. Egypt announces Israel-approved 15-member Palestinian council to govern Gaza
- World Israel News
Egypt announced that Israel and Hamas have approved a 15-member Palestinian administrative team to govern Gaza during the postwar transition period, signaling progress toward implementing President Donald Trump’s peace framework for the territory’s reconstruction.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty told The Associated Press that the group composed of Palestinian technocrats was vetted by Israel and endorsed by all Palestinian factions, including Hamas.
He said the committee will “take care of the daily life of the people in Gaza,” while the “Board of Peace,” chaired by President Trump, will oversee the flow of reconstruction funds.
“We need to deploy them to take care of daily life,” Abdelatty said, noting that Hamas members have “no role in the transitional period” and have agreed to allow the administrative committee to operate on the ground. (Read more)

4. IDF prepares comprehensive plan to defeat Hamas if fighting resumes in Gaza
- i24 News
Israel’s Defense Minister, Israel Katz, has instructed the IDF to prepare a comprehensive plan to defeat Hamas in Gaza should renewed fighting become necessary.
The directive came during a high-level discussion on IDF preparations in Gaza with the Chief of Staff and senior military leadership.
According to Katz, the planning is contingent on Hamas failing to implement President Trump’s peace plan, which calls for the immediate return of all hostages and the disarmament of the militant group. Should Hamas refuse to comply, Israel, in coordination with a U.S.-led international force, would return to military operations with the goal of destroying terror tunnels and infrastructure throughout Gaza, and fully demilitarizing the territory to eliminate threats to the State of Israel. 5. IDF carries out series of strikes on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon
- Israel National News
The IDF on Thursday struck Hezbollah infrastructure that the military says was used for the organization's rehabilitation attempts, in the Mazraat Sinai area in southern Lebanon.
The IDF noted that among the targets struck was a quarry in which Hezbollah produced cement to rebuild and reestablish its assets and terrorist infrastructure that were struck and dismantled during the "Swords of Iron" War, particularly during "Northern Arrows."
According to the military, the infrastructure enabled Hezbollah's continuous activity and the reestablishment of its terrorist activity under civilian disguise in Lebanon. (Read more)

1. Hostages describe torture and torment in Gaza – JNS News
Many were beaten, starved and isolated for two years.
One was held in a Gaza tunnel, deep underground, shackled in darkness for nearly two years.
Another was kept in total isolation, enduring a process of deliberate starvation at the hands of his captors, losing nearly 40% of his body weight.
They were tortured and tormented and in constant peril.
These were some of the gruesome stories emerging from the 20 living hostages released on Monday, two years after Gazan terrorists seized them during the Hamas-led invasion of southern Israel.
Elkana Bohbot, 36, one of the organizers of the Supernova music festival, now reunited with his wife, Rivka, and five-year-old son Re’em, was chained in a deep tunnel for nearly two years, losing all sense of time and space. Read more

2. China's Digital War On Christianity: The Cross Meets The Firewall – Prophecy News Watch
The persecution of Christians in China is hardly new. Under Mao, under Deng, under Jiang, and under Ping, believers have always faced pressure--surveillance, forced church registration, cross removals, pastors jailed, worship sites shuttered. But we are witnessing something different now: persecution morphing. It is more technologically invasive, more strategic, more suffocating--and far more dangerous to the underground church than ever before.
From brick and mortar to bytes and bandwidth
Until recently, much of the CCP's clampdown operated in the physical realm: tear down the meeting hall, remove the cross, detain the pastor, force the congregation to sign documents renouncing faith. But with the launch of the Regulations on the Online Behaviour of Religious Clergy, the Party aims to wipe Christian witness not only from the streets but from the very airwaves of digital faith.
These 18 sweeping restrictions carry the unmistakable signal: spontaneous religious speech online is effectively criminalized. Clergy may speak, but only through the Party's megaphone. They may preach only in ways that affirm party ideology. They must uphold the leadership of the CCP, promote "socialist values," and embrace "Sinicisation" of their doctrine. All content must be filtered through -- and approved by -- state censors. If a pastor livestreams a sermon, teaches Sunday school online, connects with believers abroad -- each becomes potential grounds for punishment.
This crackdown is not incidental. It is ideological. Under the guise of "maintaining order," the regime demands total alignment. The sacred must belong to the state. Independent religious voice--even in whispers--is treated as subversion. The digital leash has now become a chokehold. Read more

3. Antifa’s Communist Roots, Violent Tactics, and Terror Designation – The Epoch Times
Just after conservative influencer Charlie Kirk was publicly gunned down, authorities revealed that the alleged gunman left behind bullet casings, inscribed with messages such as “Hey, fascist! Catch!”
Law enforcement authorities said last month that they believe the 22-year-old suspect acted alone when he shot Kirk, but are investigating whether anyone else had a role in plotting the killing.
President Donald Trump blamed “the radical left” for inspiring attacks against political figures such as Kirk.
The far-left extremist movement known as Antifa has been tied to “a campaign of violence and terrorism,” Trump wrote in a Sept. 22 executive order, 12 days after Kirk was killed.
Trump designated Antifa a “domestic terrorist organization” and ordered agencies to root out “any and all illegal operations” connected to Antifa and to prosecute perpetrators and their financiers. Read more

4. Trump Warns If Hamas Doesn't Disarm, 'We Will Disarm Them, Maybe Violently' – ZeroHedge
With the Israeli hostages now released and hundreds of Palestinian prisoners being returned from Israeli prisons, officials look to the next phases of the Trump-brokered peace deal, which the consensus is will be the hardest. It involves the disarming of Hamas and establishing future governance of the Gaza Strip.
On Tuesday, President Trump made clear that Hamas would be required to disarm under the deal, warning that if the group refused to do so voluntarily, the US would intervene, possibly through force - though in characteristic fashion his comments were left ambiguous, and reporters were left wanting to know more.
"If they don’t disarm, we will disarm them, and it will happen quickly and maybe violently," he told reporters, emphasizing that Hamas would have no choice. When pressed on how he intended to carry out such action, Trump declined to provide details, saying, "I don’t have to explain that to you… They know I’m not playing games."
The Pentagon has already deployed up to 200 troops to Israel where they are assisting in terms of operational oversight of the ceasefire. Trump's words hint that it could be a short step to take some of these troops are embed them in Gaza, to assist the IDF in finally disarming Hamas.
Hamas has already reasserted control over areas previously vacated by Israeli forces and has gone on an execution campaign against alleged collaborators and criminals. Dozens have been reported killed in the last couple days. Read more

- Father God,
We thank you for a president that is not afraid to call evil out for what it is. President Trump and his administration have a vision for America that does not include the violence and terror of groups like Antifa and the wickedness of the radical left's stance on political figures. President Trump and those who have eyes to see and ears to hear have called forth an investigation into where the ' dark money ' of these radical violent extremism organizations is coming from. Thank you, Mr. President! As we continue to pray against chaos and division in America, we bow before You, Lord Jesus, knowing that you are seeing everyone who is sowing discord all over the world. We lay this matter in Your hands and rest in your peace as we wait on the exposure of the wicked. In Jesus name. Amen.

5. 10 Creative Things to Do During Retirement That Your Friends Never Thought Of – Discern Report
Retirement is often imagined as a time to slow down—but for many, it’s a chance to reawaken creativity, explore new passions, and rediscover the joy of doing something unexpected. If you’ve already checked off the typical retirement activities—golf, travel, and volunteering—consider shaking things up. Here are some creative, offbeat ideas that might just inspire your next great chapter.
1. Host a “Story Night” with Friends or Family
Instead of another dinner party, invite people over for an evening of storytelling. Choose a theme—like “first jobs,” “unexpected adventures,” or “times I got in trouble”—and let everyone share. It’s a fun way to laugh, reconnect, and preserve memories that might otherwise fade away.
2. Start a Community Time Capsule Project
Gather neighbors, local students, or family members to collect letters, photographs, and small keepsakes that capture life in your town today. Seal it up for 10, 20, or even 50 years. It’s a meaningful way to give back to your community—and to create a lasting legacy for future generations.
3. Learn the Art of Foraging
Nature offers an abundance of edible plants and mushrooms if you know where to look. Join a local foraging club or take an online course to learn safely. It’s a wonderful mix of exercise, education, and connection to the earth—plus, your dinner guests will be impressed when you serve a wild mushroom risotto.
4. Become a “Life Mentor”
Skip the formal classroom setting and offer informal mentorship to younger people—college students, new parents, or anyone entering a stage of life you’ve already navigated. You can even host “coffee with a mentor” sessions at a local café or library. Your experience has more value than you might realize. Read more

- Lord God,
We rejoice in these ways to make retirement better for all of us! Father, there are a lot of lonely retired people who have lost spouses and are in need of friendships. On top of these creative beautiful ways for retirement, we call forth more neighborhood Bible studies and senior adult ministries in churches to brighten each one's days. God, reign down financial blessings upon those who are struggling to make ends meet. We bind all loneliness, insecurities and depression due to not seeing family as often as we wish. As so many of us know, we rejoice in each other and in knowing that the joy of the Lord is our strength. He has a job for us to do as His end time army! In Jesus' name. Amen.
- "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings of eagles; they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint. " (Isaiah 40:31)

6. Mike Johnson Seeks “Fix” for Obamacare – Discern Report
The federal government shutdown drags into its third week, with no end in sight after Senate Democrats blocked the House’s clean funding bill seven times. This stalemate leaves millions of Americans without essential services, all because Democrats insist on tacking on riders to extend the pandemic-era Obamacare subsidies set to expire in December.
Republicans passed a straightforward continuing resolution to keep operations running for seven weeks, but that’s not good enough for the other side.
Speaker Mike Johnson, facing pressure from all angles, told reporters that his party has ideas to address the mess known as the Affordable Care Act.
“They don’t really want a negotiation, it’s just a talking point,” Johnson said of the Democrats. “We have to fix health care in America, and we have ideas to do it. But we have to have government open and operating to do that. I cannot snap my fingers and go in a back room with [Senate Minority Leader] Chuck Schumer and say ‘oh, here’s the magic fix for it.’ That’s not how it’s going to work.”
Johnson went further, labeling Obamacare a complete disaster. “Let’s just state it simply: Obamacare failed the American people,” he said. “It was promised to be a great success, to make health care more affordable. It’s done exactly the opposite.” Read more

- Father God,
We humbly come before your throne of grace and mercy as our government tackles the web of dependencies that Obamacare has created. Most can see that our entire healthcare system is broken and many are suffering because of it. We ask, Lord, that you remove from power anyone in our government that is blocking true reform of this system. Each year we put a bandaid on the system and the next year we deal with the same issue, and it's time to stop! Give wisdom and discernment to those who are working to 'gradually' fix the system. Maybe, Lord, we should all have the same healthcare that Congress has so that there will never be another problem. Our government is still in shutdown because of this debate. Hurry, Lord, your people need a stable insurance system to rely on! We put our trust in You! In Jesus' name. Amen.
- "Lord Almighty, blessed, is the one who trusts in you." (Psalm 84:12)

CDC Retreats: COVID Shot Now a Personal
The Daily Jot, Bill Wilson, October 16, 2025
It’s taken nearly four years, but the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has finally admitted what many medical professionals, independent scientists, and everyday Americans have been saying all along: COVID-19 vaccination is a personal decision. The agency’s updated guidance removes the blanket recommendation for universal vaccination and instead places the mRNA shot in the “individual choice” category. Translation: you and your doctor decide if it’s right for you. This is an about-face from the narrative Americans were force-fed in 2021 and 2022 — that the shot was not only necessary, but that refusing it was a moral failure.
The same government that once demanded blind compliance is now quietly stepping back and handing that decision back to the individual. This pivot is not happening in a vacuum. Over the past several years, The Daily Jot has reported on dozens of studies showing that the mRNA vaccine’s efficacy wanes rapidly and that it does not prevent transmission. We’ve cited research documenting side effects like myocarditis, pericarditis, menstrual irregularities, abortions, and long-term immunity issues. Those of us questioning this horrible shot were vilified, censored, and in some cases lost their livelihoods. Government, media, and corporations worked hand in hand to coerce compliance, from “no jab, no job” mandates to travel restrictions and public shaming campaigns. It was an unprecedented assault on health autonomy, wrapped fear mongering. Read More

Trump, Putin plan Hungary meeting on Ukraine war, Zelenskyy to visit White House Friday

|
|
Trump says Hungary talks with Putin aim to ‘bring this inglorious war, between Russia and Ukraine, to an end'
|
|
President Donald Trump on Thursday said he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Hungary in the coming weeks after first, he meets with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in D.C. on Friday.
In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump said that "a meeting of our High Level Advisors" led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio will meet next week, though the destination has not yet been confirmed.
"President Putin and I will then meet in an agreed-upon location, Budapest, Hungary, to see if we can bring this ‘inglorious’ war, between Russia and Ukraine, to an end," he said. "President Zelenskyy and I will be meeting tomorrow, in the Oval Office, where we will discuss my conversation with President Putin, and much more. I believe great progress was made with today’s telephone conversation."
While Trump said the pair had a lengthy conversation on U.S.-Russia trade, he did not include any mention of the U.S. arming Ukraine with top-level defenses, like Tomahawk missiles – which is a major reason Zelenskyy is coming to D.C. and the issue that allegedly prompted Trump's call with Putin to begin with.
Earlier this week, Trump said he would need to speak with Putin to see if he wants "to have the Tomahawks going in their direction."
Acquiring Tomahawk missiles is a top priority for Zelenskyy, as the sophisticated weaponry would be able to reach far beyond Moscow and could change Ukraine’s ability to hit not only more of Russia’s military complex but its oil industry, which largely funds its war chest.
The announcement of the Trump-Putin meeting comes just hours after Russian missile and drone strikes pounded Ukrainian cities and energy sites in the early hours of Thursday morning. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Father God, as You have been able to bring peace to the Middle East, working through the Trump administration and other world leaders, we trust that You can yet do the same, ending the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. We also ask

Planning underway for international force in Gaza, says US adviser
|

The United States is looking to establish a basic stabilization of Gaza, and planning is underway for an international force to go into the Palestinian enclave, said a senior US adviser, speaking with Reuters on condition of anonymity, on Wednesday.
"Right now, what we're looking to accomplish is just a basic stabilization of the situation. The international stabilization force is starting to be constructed," said the senior US adviser.
Among the countries the US is speaking to about contributing to the force are Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Qatar, and Azerbaijan, said a second senior US adviser, also speaking on condition of anonymity. (The Jerusalem Post) Read more here.

Trump reveals Arc de Triomphe-style monument for America’s 250th anniversary
|
|
|
Monument joins $200M ballroom addition and Oval Office gold accents in the administration’s latest round of projects
|
|
President Donald Trump's flair for personal imprints is expanding beyond the White House grounds.
A reportedly privately funded monument, dubbed the "Arc de Trump," is planned to commemorate the nation’s 250th anniversary next year, the latest in a series of renovation and design projects the former real estate developer has pursued since returning to the White House. Trump offered a glimpse of the project last week in the Oval Office, showing a model positioned on a rendering of the National Mall.
At a White House ballroom fundraising dinner on Wednesday, Trump shared additional details about the newest monument planned for the nation’s capital. He said he was presented with three arch models in varying sizes — small, medium and large — and said his preference was for the largest one.
The monument, a near twin of Paris’s iconic Arc de Triomphe, is meant to welcome visitors crossing the Memorial Bridge from Arlington National Cemetery into the heart of the nation’s capital.
It's unclear when construction on the arch will begin or how much it will cost. Trump said Wednesday evening that remaining funds from the new White House ballroom project will go toward financing the arch.
Meanwhile, the Trump administration has begun construction on a 90,000-square-foot White House ballroom. The sprawling addition, announced in July, will accommodate approximately 650 seated guests and will stay true to the classical design of the White House. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Lord God Almighty, we continue to be amazed by President Trump's grand vision for our nation as we prepare to celebrate our 250th anniversary of our founding! This stunning "Arc de Triomphe-style" monument, as well as its strategic location in our city, will surely bring a blessing to all who will behold its glory. We continue to bless President Trump in all he puts his hand to. In Your Name, Abba, we offer this prayer, amen and amen.

Powerful storm delivers wettest October day in years to California cities
|
|
The biggest storm in months unloaded heavy rain and mountain snow across California to start the week, forcing evacuations near areas devastates by historic wildfires.
The first major storm in months barreled into California earlier this week, delivering the wettest October day in years and prompting evacuations near areas scarred by the historic wildfires from January.
The storm resembled the powerful winter storms that typically hit the West Coast during the middle of the wet season, unleashing widespread rain and mountain snow. Precipitation began on Monday across Northern and Central California before spreading into Southern California on Tuesday.
Record rainfall drenches major cities
Evacuations were ordered for some areas surrounding the Eaton Fire and Palisades Fire burn scars due to the risk of flooding and mudslides, according to ABC7.
In these areas, the charred, vegetation-free ground acts more like pavement than normal soil, resulting in a much higher risk of debris flows and destructive flooding. A mudslide closed Topange Canyon Boulevard, a busy canyon road located near the Palisades Fire burn scar, according to KTLA. It is unclear when the road will reopen.
Downtown Los Angeles measured 1.38 inches of rain on Tuesday, the wettest day in the city since February and the biggest single-day rainfall total in the month of October in 16 years.
Rainfall was heavy enough to set daily rainfall records elsewhere across Southern California, including in Burbank, where 2.28 inches washed away the previous record of 0.25 of an inch set on Oct. 14, 2009. New records for the date were also set in Camarillo, Santa Maria and Lancaster. Read More

For the Lord loves justice
And does not abandon His godly ones;
They are protected forever,
But the descendants of the wicked will be eliminated.
(Psalm 37:28)

"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name."
