Faith over fear:
PTEE equips Arab Christian leaders through biblical education
|
|
|
The Program for Theological Education by Extension (PTEE) offers biblical courses to Arab Christian leaders in their home countries and across the diaspora. Erin James of PTEE explains how the program equips believers to study Scripture independently. “It gives the Arab Christians the tools to study the Bible for themselves,” James says.
Students learn to recognize spiritual warfare, understand the power of prayer, and apply biblical truths to everyday challenges. This helps them grow in their personal faith while becoming more active and confident members of their churches. “It encourages them personally, but also it helps them become stronger members of churches, more confident; but confident in God, not in themselves,” James explains.
Beyond biblical education, classes provide a place for students to share their struggles and find encouragement from fellow students and teachers. These relationships offer spiritual support, especially for believers facing difficult circumstances. “We do our best to pray for them, to walk alongside them,” James says. Now More Than Ever, the Survival of the Constitution Is on the Ballot
|
|
One of the guiding comforts that I have relied upon during my 42 years of conservative political activism is an abiding faith in the strength and durability of the Constitution of the United States. It is a brilliant document, conceived by brilliant men, and it spawned the most brilliant exercise in freedom and government in history. Anytime that the United States was threatened from without or within, I knew that the guiding principles of the Constitution would help the country prevail. A frequent refrain of mine for decades has been, "The Constitution can handle anything."
I still mostly believe that. However, both globally and domestically, the context that made me comfortable in that belief no longer exists.
Radical Islam (redundant, I know) has been inexorably gaining footholds in the Western countries that it has sworn to destroy in the name of Allah. China's influence and power are finally starting to match the gargantuan size of its population. The worst part of the contextual change is that leftists in the United States and many of its ally countries are facilitating the Islamic invasion and the whitewashing of the dangers of Chinese communism.
Back in my "the Constitution can handle anything days," it wasn't under relentless assault from the Democratic Party. There were attacks, to be sure, but they came from the radical fringe of the party. Here in the Year of Our Lord 2026, those in the mainstream Democratic Party establishment are so far left that they make the 20th century Dem radicals look like moderate Republicans. Mighty God, we thank You that the strategies of the enemy are being shouted from the housetops and exposed so that we can pray, stand against them and declare the word of God upon the powers of darkness, for the glory of Jeshua. We call for every person seeking to overthrow our Constitution and nation to be confronted by the power and might of Almighty God in dreams and action, so that their every plan is hindered, obstructed and thwarted, in Jesus' name. Thank You Abba for divinely orchestrating our Constitutional Republic to be ruled by laws established in the Constitution and enforced by representatives the people have chosen to govern in accordance with those laws. May we the people elect wise, good and honorable representatives to our seats of government in Jesus's holy name.

Treasury identifies $270 million in federal student aid programs it ties to possible fraud
|
|
The Treasury Department identified approximately $270 million potentially linked to fraudulent activity involving federal student aid programs.
In July, FinCEN issued alerts to financial institutions warning about possible fraud schemes involving federal student aid refunds. Schools and payment contractors regularly issue student aid refunds electronically. Criminals may move stolen aid through money mules, shell companies and fraudulent bank accounts, the alert explained.
The financial institutions filed nearly 100 suspicious activity reports following the alert, according to the Treasury Department. A review by FinCEN identified more than 20,000 potentially suspicious transactions, totaling $270 million. (Just The News) Read more

We praise You Father, for enabling the Treasury Department personnel to lift the veil on the massive layers of corruption endemic to our government agencies. For far too long they have had free rein to spend as much money as they wanted and apparently without even one legitimate layer of oversight. This has inevitably resulted in human nature doing wrong and violating trust and righteousness, so Holy One, we pray now for a cleansing of these agencies and repentance of those who have participated in the wrong-doing, in Jesus' name. We pray for a true re-alignment for justice in the federal student aid program in Jesus name. We pray that every bad actor is removed from power and that they would turn from their wicked ways, in Jesus' name.

DOJ Takes Emergency Action Against California in Fight to Stop State from Counting 20,000 Ballots Given to Non-Citizens
|
|
The Justice Department on Monday asked the Court for an emergency restraining order against California, requiring the state to immediately set aside the 20,000 ballots sent to non-citizens.
On Friday, the DOJ put California on notice and vowed to prosecute election officials who tabulate unlawful ballots.
“California on Notice: Federal agencies identified over 20,000 suspected noncitizens registered to vote in California who have already been mailed ballots,” First Assistant US Attorney Bill Essayli said on Friday.
“Under 18 U.S.C. §§ 611 and 2, officials who knowingly tabulate unlawful ballots risk aiding and abetting a federal offense. The Justice Department urges the County and the Secretary of State to temporarily segregate the flagged ballots pending citizenship verification or face legal consequences,” Bill Essayli said. We are thankful that the Justice Department is stepping up to do the enforcement as is their responsibility. We bless them and we pray for all resources required to fulfil every aspect of this law enforcement, in Jesus' name. We most especially pray that California would come under justice and do the right thing so they cannot negatively affect our national elections due to their corruption, in Jesus' name.

France imposes curfews in major cities after weekend of rioting
|
|
|
The French government ordered curfews Monday night for areas and major cities that were impacted by rioting over the weekend, including parts of Paris, Nice and Lille.
What began as a nominal protest against worsening conditions in schools last month has escalated into a general riot against the French government and a rising cost of living, resulting in the arrest of at least 2,400 people over the weekend, according to the Associated Press.
The riots come as conservatives warn the promotion of the protests were funded by left-wing donor Neville Roy Singham, whose groups were crucial to the wave of anti-Israel demonstrations in the United States after Hamas' attack on Oct. 7, 2023.
A recent Fox News investigation identified 54 organizations participating in or promoting the riots, but only 16 were student or youth groups. The other 38 consisted of adult-led communist groups, labor unions, political parties, revolutionary-left organizations, advocacy groups and international propaganda outlets. Holy King, we know this nightmare taking place in France is spreading across all of Europe. Wherever mass migration has been permitted, it seems armies of islamic warriors have taken advantage to move in, infiltrate and ultimately attack sovereign countries in order to impose their islamic sharia law upon the people. Sadly, the troubles seem to start with the leftist, communist and well-funded groups of thugs and anarchists igniting the streets of cities. Holy One, we lift every element of these troubles before You and ask that You cut out the very root and fruit of such violence and ask You to bring the troublers to their knees before You, our Holy God. We pray for strength and protection for police forces and militaries to have the resources and resolve to stop this evil, in Jesus' name.

1. Iran unlikely to attack Israel directly, may seek to disrupt elections - Israel Hayom
Senior Israeli diplomatic and security officials tell Israel Hayom that the likelihood of an escalation with Iran ahead of the elections in Israel and the United States remains low, although the possibility cannot be ruled out given Tehran's desire to disrupt the electoral process and influence the results.
According to the officials, Iran is concentrating its efforts on the Strait of Hormuz in an attempt to drive up oil prices and increase the Democrats' chances of securing a majority in Congress. Such an outcome could undermine parts of US President Donald Trump's policy toward Iran and potentially bring an end to the war without a decisive defeat of the Iranian regime.
Warning to Hezbollah
As for Israel, officials anticipate Iranian attempts to interfere with the elections through various means, but a direct attack from Iranian territory is not considered a likely scenario. The main reason is Iran's vulnerability to Israeli retaliation, particularly the possibility that Israel could strike strategic targets such as oil facilities. (Read more)

2. Netanyahu vows to eliminate Iran regime, sources tell 'Post' Trump 'very close' to renewing strikes - Jerusalem Post
The Trump administration came “very close” to approving a strike on Iran on at least one recent occasion, several sources familiar with the details told The Jerusalem Post on Tuesday.
The revelation follows comments by US President Donald Trump in Atlanta, Georgia, last week, telling reporters to "wait till you see what we do to Iran."
Trump has said the US will not bomb Iran again before November 3. However, Iranian officials told Reuters on Tuesday that Tehran continues to expect that bombing will resume, sooner or later.
Earlier on Tuesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that he spoke with Trump on Sunday about the importance of eliminating Iran's regime. (Read more)

3. IDF releases footage of Hezbollah moving weapons, accuses Lebanese army of lying about enforcement - Jerusalem Post
The IDF on Tuesday showed footage of Hezbollah using a truck to move weapons from one location to another. These weapons, the IDF said, were supposed to have been seized by the Lebanese army.
The footage then shows the IDF striking the truck as it pulled away from its original location. The IDF said this was one of many examples that demonstrated that the Lebanese army lied about having dealt with Hezbollah’s weapons.
On Tuesday, the IDF declined to reveal when the strike in question took place. However, given when the rest of the narrative was publicized, it likely took place around or after mid-2026. (Read more)

4. 21 arrested in suspected multimillion Gaza war fraud scheme - Israel Hayom
Police and military forces arrested 21 suspects across Israel on Tuesday morning, including employees of civilian contracting companies and career military personnel, in connection with a major bribery and financial fraud investigation involving millions of shekels in wartime funds.
The arrests came as a months-long undercover investigation entered its overt phase, with coordinated raids carried out nationwide. The joint operation involved the Southern Economic Enforcement Unit of the Israel Police's Lahav 433 major crimes division, the Military Police's Central Unit for Special Investigations and investigators from the Israel Tax Authority's Beersheba VAT office.
The suspected fraud dates back to the aftermath of the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attack and the outbreak of the war, known in Israel as the Swords of Iron War. As the Israel Defense Forces intensified operations in the Gaza Strip, the military turned to civilian contractors to supply and operate heavy engineering equipment, including construction and earthmoving machinery, to support its ongoing activities. 5. Smotrich: 'Oslo Accords must be canceled and Palestinian Authority dismantled'

A Clearwater, Kansas, man was arrested last week for threatening to shoot President Trump at tonight’s Wichita rally.
Last week, a Kansas man, identified as Jaden Read, 24, was arrested for threatening to shoot President Trump at his Wichita rally: “I just got a 308 and 305 round and I’m killing this pedo”.
Per the DOJ: On October 15th, a Crime Stoppers tip led authorities to a Facebook post where Jaden Read made comments in response to a KAKE News article detailing President Trump’s upcoming visit to Wichita, KS on October 19th, 2026. Sovereign Lord, these threats are happening far too much and we ask You to continue to expose them before any evil thing happens, in Jesus' name. We thank You for every single time a plan is thwarted and we bless law enforcement that responds and intervenes, in Jesus' name. We pray for the people who are so broken in spirit that they believe lies and are willing to destroy their own lives because of them. Oh Jesus, this is such a heartbreaking testimony of the state of our nation … people in power calling for murders, violence, spewing hatred and the lost ones who follow and will take action without considering consequences. 2. Four killed, dozens seriously injured in 'violent, fast-moving fire' at CFB Wainwright: Carney - National Post
Prime Minister Mark Carney confirmed that four members of the Canadian Armed Forces were killed and dozens more were seriously injured during a “violent, fast-moving fire” at CFB Wainwright in Alberta on Saturday.
In a press conference Sunday afternoon, Carney called it “one of the worst tragedies for the Forces on Canadian soil in peacetime.”
Around 4 p.m., a fire inside a training area quickly spread beyond its boundaries, requiring “military and civilian emergency services” to attack the fire and assist the affected, according to the latest update from National Defence on Sunday.
The individuals told the outlet the explosion resulted from a gas line or gas well on the base being hit during a live-fire training exercise and that high winds fueled the resulting fire. Environment Canada, which had warned of high winds earlier in the day, later recorded gusts of 98 km/h at Edmonton International Airport Saturday afternoon.

Holy One, this is a horrific tragedy and we pray for Your comfort to wash over every person that is suffering or grieving in this terrible time. We ask for divine healing for the injured and wisdom for the medical teams. We pray for You to hold the families who've lost someone close to Your heart so that they will know You are their ever-present help. 3. Wild Melee as Christians Prayed in Seattle - Liberty Counsel
Christians gathered in Seattle to worship and pray. Instead, they were met with violence.
Worshippers were pelted with urine-filled water balloons. A 17-year-old boy had a knife pulled on him as he prayed. Children and elderly Christians were sexually harassed. Masked protesters assaulted attendees and volunteers with pepper spray, tear gas, weapons, and other violent threats.
And now, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has scheduled oral arguments in this case, Johnson v. City of Seattle, for next Monday, October 26.
City officials denied that request and instead directed the Christians to Cal Anderson Park in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, known as a center of LGBTQ activism.
Yet instead of holding the attackers accountable, Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell blamed the Christian organizers. He characterized their gathering as an “extreme right-wing rally” and said they had held it there to “provoke a reaction,” even though he was the one who forced the church to hold their rally in an LGBTQ neighborhood. Just Judge, we pray for victory for this church community who have been mistreated by an unjust government system in Seattle, in Jesus' name. We pray that the 9th Circuit Court will hear the arguments with wisdom and discernment and will be compelled to decide with justice and uphold their Constitutional freedoms to gather peaceably in any public venue, in Jesus' name. We pray that the mayor repents and may godly justice return to the governing of this city, in Jesus' name.

4. Why Hobby Lobby Founder David Green Gave Up $22 Million in Halloween Sales - Charisma
For Hobby Lobby founder David Green, there are some profits simply not worth pursuing.
The Christian businessman is drawing renewed attention for his decision to walk away from Halloween merchandise.
According to a Newsmax “National Report” segment, Green previously said Hobby Lobby had generated more than $22 million in Halloween merchandise sales before he became convicted that the company should stop carrying the products.
“I was carrying Halloween merchandise as an example and we sold over $22 million worth of it,” Green said in comments highlighted in connection with the story. “And I just felt in my spirit that God says, ‘don’t sell this.’ And so I got out of the Halloween business, and I lost the sales.”
Green described Halloween as “a dark holiday and a celebration of death” that is not God-honoring, pointing specifically to merchandise featuring blood and horror.
Instead, customers will find fall and Thanksgiving merchandise, including scarecrows, pumpkins, leaves and other autumn decorations. Read more

Thank You Father, for David Green listening to You and taking a stand for righteousness in this dark season. He has shown his willingness to stand up for You and pay a financial price, but clearly as You always do … You have been faithful to pour out good measure upon his company in return. We pray for more of us to hear You Abba, and respond with such integrity, knowing that we serve an eternal Kingdom whose treasures are so much richer than earth-bound wealth.

5. Melania Trump unveils initiative that elevates women's health issues at White House, NIH - Just The News
First lady Melania Trump on Monday appeared with President Donald Trump to unveil the White House's women's health initiatives, which creates health division for them within the National Institutes of Health.
"This is a transformative moment for women in America," she said at the Rose Garden signing. "The 'Advancing Women's Health to Improve Outcomes in All Phases of Life' Executive Order establishes a new standard for women's health in America."
The order, which President Trump signed at the event, establishes a White House Women's Health Task Force dedicated to ensuring that federal policy is supportive of women's health. Read more

Thank You Father for the work that our First Lady is doing on behalf of children, fosters, and now, women. It is a blessing to see the many ways she is reaching into the various elements of society at large. We pray for the entire health community to incorporate and address the many ways women are different from men and all the many stages as well. We pray also for the medical community to have more compassion and do more research for the elders amongst us, that they may journey through their days with dignity and understanding, in Jesus' name.
"I rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, as we received commandment from the Father. And now I plead with you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we have had from the beginning: that we love one another." (2 John 4-5)

6. 'The first of many': Elon Musk announces plan to give every child in America a single share of SpaceX stock - WND
On Monday, the SpaceX and Tesla CEO posted on X: "Next year, I will give one of my SpaceX shares to every kid in America. This will be the first of many."
Musk did not spell out the exact mechanism, eligibility rules, or timeline beyond "next year," but the scale is unmistakable. He is transferring ownership from his own holdings directly to the next generation.
This builds on earlier action from SpaceX itself. Earlier this year, SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell and her husband personally gifted one SpaceX share each to more than two million American children ages 11–17 in lower-income areas (with extra emphasis near their central Texas home) through the Trump Accounts program. Holy King, this is certainly a wonderful gift being given by Elon Musk to the children. However, the more precious gift of all would be for him to know You fully as his Lord and Savior, to honor You and to raise his children in the fear and admonition of Jeshua. We pray for the mothers of his many children as well, that they also would come to repentance and salvation, in the name of Jesus.
"Which we have heard and known, And our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children, Telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done. Midterm Poll Movement Shows Slight Change

Political polls are still all over the place, but the movement since our late-September baseline is beginning to tell a story. The Daily Jot established that baseline with Democrats leading Republicans by 8.7 percentage points in the RealClearPolling congressional generic ballot average. The latest available average has Democrats ahead by 7.9 points, 49.8%-41.9%. That's a narrowing of eight-tenths of a point. Rasmussen, however, shows a larger change. Its Democratic advantage has narrowed from eight points in mid-September to five points the following week and three points in its latest published survey. Does this represent a sustained change in voter sentiment or the normal movement of political polling?
Our methodology remains the same: Compare pollsters primarily against their own previous results, then look for movement confirmed by several different polling organizations. Reuters/Ipsos measured Democrats ahead by eight points in September, 43%-35%, and seven points in its latest survey, 44%-37%. Economist/YouGov moved from a 15-point Democratic advantage in late September to 11 points in early October. Morning Consult remained unchanged at seven points. The latest Pew Research Center survey measured Democrats ahead by eight points, while a Financial Times poll released October 11 also showed an eight-point advantage. An Analysis of Leftist Groups Involved in Riots Across Europe
and the Revolutionary Groups Behind the Unrest

The riots in France, allegedly sparked by teacher shortages in a Paris suburb, have grown into a wave of unrest across Europe. Rioting, arson, looting, and attacks on police have occurred in France, Belgium, Italy, and Albania.
In Portugal, police clashed with protesters while clearing a housing camp in Porto, leaving 37 protesters injured and one officer hurt. Spain, Greece, Germany, and Austria have seen marches, encampments, and school blockades. In nearly every country, communist parties, socialist youth wings, Trotskyist groups, and left-wing labor confederations have been documented organizing, joining, or promoting the demonstrations.
The next coordinated action is scheduled for November 20, when a coalition of student and youth organizations across Europe has called an International Youth Strike under the slogan “Fight for Our Future, Not Their Wars.” Organizers are calling for walkouts, blockades, and occupations. Announced in August, before the French riots, the strike reflects organizing networks that predate the violence.

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is also giving the storm medium odds of becoming Tropical Storm or Subtropical Storm Josephine, the next named storm on the Atlantic list.

A powerful nor’easter spinning off the North Carolina coast is expected to bring coastal flooding, beach erosion, gusty winds, dangerous surf and rip currents to parts of the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast coasts through Thursday. This storm has also been tagged by the National Hurricane Center as Invest 93L, indicating that the storm has the potential to take on some subtropical or tropical characteristics. The invest designation also means that the NHC will deploy additional forecast tools to track the storm. 93L is currently forecast to remain offshore and begin to pull away from the coast by the end of the week.
