Melania Trump Brokers a Ceasefire Deal in Russian-Occupied Ukrainian City to Get Relief Aid In
|

WASHINGTON (AP) — First lady Melania Trump has brokered a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine in the ravaged, Russian-occupied Ukrainian city of Oleshky so that humanitarian aid can be delivered and civilians can be evacuated from a place she said is “on the brink of disaster.” The localized ceasefire is set to begin next week. Ukrainian, Russian and U.S. negotiators reached a deal Friday to provide humanitarian relief to the Russian-occupied town of Oleshky in the war-divided region of Kherson in southern Ukraine.
Melania Trump, who worked with officials from both countries on a separate matter, initiated talks about Oleshky after learning about the situation at one of her events during the U.N. General Assembly session in September, the White House said in announcing her involvement. She and a representative worked directly with Russian and Ukrainian leadership to define the terms of the ceasefire, the White House said.
Ukraine’s top negotiator in the effort told The Associated Press that a local ceasefire with Russia will start Tuesday — two days before the mission begins — and last several days. Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian ombudsman and his country’s chief negotiator in the talks, said the ceasefire would take effect across the Kherson region and neighboring areas essential to the operation. He added the initiative could act as a model for future humanitarian missions.
Russian officials also confirmed the agreement. Lubinets earlier Friday thanked Melania Trump and said the deal would be tough to accomplish. He said the agreement calls for a ceasefire, followed by the delivery of much-needed humanitarian aid. Lastly, civilians will be allowed to leave Oleshky, he said in a video message posted online. Virginia state senator indicted,
accused of leading a marijuana distribution enterprise

Virginia state Senator Lillie Louise Lucas was indicted Thursday on five charges that include drug trafficking, money laundering, fraud and firearms charges after being accused of running a marijuana distribution enterprise, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
Lucas is among seven indicted in the sprawling racketeering scheme, a group that includes her two daughters, Lisa Lucas-Burke and Theresa Lucas-Lamb, and her grandson Ryan Eichelberger, Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a Thursday press conference.
"Louise Lucas has served in a position of public trust in the Commonwealth of Virginia for over three decades," Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a DOJ statement.
"The charges alleged in this indictment reveal the behavior of a public servant who put her own financial interests before the people she was elected to serve. Our federal prosecutors will continue to be guided by the facts and evidence that led a grand jury to indict Ms. Lucas and her alleged co-conspirators."

Injured Bend, Oregon, teacher
tried to shut classroom door during school shooting before playing dead
|

A teacher who was injured during last Thursday's school shooting in Bend, Oregon, said she tried to shut a classroom door before pretending to be dead in the hope that the gunman would not target her again.
Becky Drury made the remarks in a statement released to the media on Wednesday, as the Bend Police Department confirmed that the firearm used in the attack on Silver Rail Elementary, which left three children and one teacher dead, was "purchased legally."
"Here is what I remember: Once I realized something was happening outside, I ran to see what was going on. I then saw the shooter and immediately ran back into the classroom. I turned to shut the door behind me, but the shooter was already there. Before I could do anything more, he shot me at close range and I fell to the ground," Drury said.
"Lying on the floor, I saw that my left hand was almost completely severed from the gunshot, and my other arm was also severely injured. I could not get up, defend myself, or protect anyone else," she added. "So, I did the only thing I could do, which was to pretend to be dead in the hope he would not shoot me again." Ilhan Omar is not the "real name" of the Minnesota congresswoman, Fox News Digital has learned.
Her real name is Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, according to two people familiar with the ongoing investigation into the Somali-born congresswoman, including a law enforcement source.
And if proven in court that Omar has lived her "entire life under an alias," a former Minnesota federal immigration judge tells Fox News Digital that every single form she ever filled out could be "called into question."
On Wednesday, U.S. District Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro filed a motion seeking to prevent the federal search warrant for the congresswoman’s home from being unsealed, which was requested by several media outlets. A Dallas-area juvenile arrested by the FBI for planning a terrorist attack on behalf of ISIS may also have been planning to assassinate Rep. Keith Self (R-TX), the co-founder and co-chair of the Sharia-Free America Caucus, according to information reviewed by Breitbart News.
The FBI arrested the juvenile on October 5, 2026, in connection with an alleged plan to conduct a terrorist attack on behalf of ISIS.
Investigators also received information suggesting the juvenile may have been planning to assassinate Self with a firearm at a local event on October 17, 2026.
The suspect has been charged and remains in custody.
“In order to preserve our Constitutional Republic from the onslaught of radical Islam we need to be willing to take some slings and arrows. It may mean being on the receiving end of name calling, threats or something worse,” Self told Breitbart News regarding the alleged assassination plot. “Our Founders thought the idea of this country was worth the sacrifice. Those who have served in our military think that defending freedom is worth the sacrifice. Our elected leaders should govern with the same mindset.”

The Pentagon is preparing U.S. military bases to keep operating for at least 90 days without outside support as it prepares for the possibility of a major war that could cripple power grids, disrupt supply chains and threaten critical infrastructure on American soil.
The new requirement is part of FORTRESS, a broader military initiative aimed at ensuring American forces can continue fighting even if the civilian systems they depend on are disrupted, according to documents reviewed by Fox News Digital.
"We don't want to rely on standard civilian municipal infrastructure to run our national defense. We just simply can't. It's an intolerable risk," Pentagon chief spokesperson Sean Parnell told Fox News Digital.
The Pentagon is also laying the groundwork for civilian factories to shift to defense production during a crisis, while preparing alternative supply chains and strategic reserves to keep weapons, fuel and other essential materials flowing.
"Power is combat now. Without electricity, you lose communications, water, logistics, assembly lines and just basic military command structures," Parnell said.
Under FORTRESS, every major military installation in the continental United States would be expected to sustain essential operations independently for at least 90 days, including access to electricity, water, fuel and communications.
The requirement reflects a broader shift in how the Pentagon is preparing for threats to the American homeland, including the possibility that a major conflict could disrupt the infrastructure supporting military operations inside the United States.
"I realized that a lot of the way we think about homeland defense was built around the antiquated assumption that two oceans would protect us," Parnell said. "President Trump understands that world is gone, and he's already paved the way for new thinking: Golden Dome, a renewed focus on the Western Hemisphere, Greenland, Panama."
A central concern is the military's reliance on civilian power grids, which support everything from communications and logistics to weapons manufacturing.
FORTRESS envisions portable nuclear reactors, large-scale battery storage and microgrids capable of disconnecting military installations from the civilian electrical grid, allowing them to continue operating during prolonged power disruptions.

1. White House threatens Politico with 'consequences' if it doesn't retract Susie Wiles reporting- Fox News
Politico has issued a correction and re-examined multiple articles after the White House threatened "consequences" if the outlet doesn't retract its recent reporting on President Donald Trump's chief of staff Susie Wiles, Fox News Digital has confirmed.
In a letter addressed to Politico's global editor-in-chief Jonathan Greenberger on Monday, White House counsel William Scharf slammed three "demonstrably false and defamatory articles" about Wiles, including claims that Trump was mulling Wiles' ouster, and that he had a "freak-out" when Politico published its story.
"These publications reflect far more than sloppy reporting or an unfortunate, inadvertent reliance on unreliable sources. They instead reveal a disturbing pattern of the publication of sensational falsehoods despite direct, on-the-record refutations from senior White House officials and even the President of the United States himself, as well as documentary evidence provided to Politico, all of which established clearly that claims central to Politico's planned reporting were false. Put simply, your publication was told the truth and presented with corroborating evidence, and yet chose to publish fanciful fiction regardless," Scharf wrote in the letter first reported by Axios that has been obtained by Fox News Digital.
"This is not a question of competing interpretations, editorial judgment, or political disagreement. It is a question of whether a major news organization may knowingly publish demonstrably false factual allegations, disregard documentary evidence contradicting those allegations, and then hide behind anonymous sources when confronted with the truth. It may not. I therefore demand that Politico retract these defamatory articles and issue corrections promptly, or face the consequences," he later continued. (Read more)

3. Even The New York Times Is Reporting El-Sayed Backed Muslim Brotherhood Power Grab- Daily Wire
Even The New York Times is now reporting that Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed signed a 2012 letter urging Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood president to “purge the media and police,” echoing a revelation previously reported by the Washington Free Beacon.
Published in Arabic on the Egyptian news website Al-Ahram Gate in November 2012, days after then-Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi issued a sweeping declaration expanding his powers and shielding his decisions from judicial review, the letter backed what it called Morsi’s “revolutionary decisions,” according to the Washington Free Beacon.
The Times discusses the letter under the heading “An Open Letter and Family Scrutiny,” while framing its report around what it calls “ugly attacks and pointed questions about family members.” But the letter concerns El-Sayed’s own actions.
Several branches of the Muslim Brotherhood have been designated terrorist organizations by the Trump administration, which has stepped up efforts to curb the Islamist movement’s international network. The designations include affiliates in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and Sudan.
The letter listed 46 signatories identified as leaders of the Egyptian-American community, including a “Dr. Abdul Rahman El-Sayed” of New York. The Free Beacon, citing sources familiar with Arabic-language media, identified him as the same person now running for Senate in Michigan. The Times reported that El-Sayed signed the letter while in medical school.
His campaign aides declined to answer the Times’ questions about the 2012 letter. El-Sayed has publicly disavowed the Muslim Brotherhood, and his campaign denies any connection to it. (Read more)

Former President Bill Clinton has jumped into the midterm fray, stumping for Democrat David Jolly in his race against Florida Republican Rep. Byron Donalds in the bid to replace outgoing Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).
A scandal-plagued Clinton appeared alongside Jolly – a former Republican turned Democrat – at what has been described as an “interfaith event” on the campaign trail in Hollywood, Florida. During the event, Clinton lamented that he is “tired of politicians picking fights” when Americans are trying to afford basic aspects of life.
“You need somebody who will get up every morning and just bust a gut trying to do something that will help you. That’s what you need, and I think that’s someone in David Jolly,” he said, telling the crowd that he, personally, is “not through trying to make things better.”
“And from what I heard tonight, I don’t think you are either. I’m going to have to really practice now, never to refer to David Jolly as Reverend Jolly ever. But I’m here for him and for Gwen Graham because they’re in this race for what I think are the right reasons — to give every Floridian, without regard to race, politics, religion, or you name it — a chance to build a better life for themselves, their children, their state,” Clinton said before pointing to scripture.
“And he has the background, the willingness, the ability, and the determination to get it done. I think we ought to give David Jolly a chance. There’s a big difference between being tired and quitting. 5. Energy Dept to loan part of home heating oil reserve to ease prices, drawing bipartisan praise- Fox Business
The Department of Energy (DOE) on Wednesday announced plans to loan up to about one-third of the U.S. emergency heating oil reserve in an effort to ease price pressures facing consumers as global conflicts constrain energy supplies.
The announcement indicated that the DOE will loan up to 315,000 barrels of fuel oil from the Northeast Home Heating Oil Reserve to mitigate supply disruptions. The reserve holds a supply of one million barrels of ultra-low sulfur distillate, which serves as heating oil, at four locations in the Northeast due to the popularity of heating oil as a significant source of home heating in the region.
Under the terms of the DOE's request for proposal, companies that borrow from the reserve in the 2026-27 heating season must return the same volume of oil plus a premium to refill the reserve before the 2027-28 heating season.

6. Trump must sit for deposition in BBC lawsuit by Dec. 11, judge rules - Just the News
President Donald Trump must sit for a deposition in his lawsuit against the BBC by Dec. 11, a federal judge ruled Thursday.
Trump is suing the BBC for $10 billion in connection with its documentary of him.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Enjoliqué Lett issued the order after Trump previously canceled a planned deposition for Oct. 16, the Associated Press reported.
Trump campaigned in Georgia that day, but cited a "matter of national importance" when explaining the canceled deposition.
The BBC accused Trump of prioritizing political concerns and highlighted that only two months remained in discovery period. (Read more)

If you live in the Granite State, the Supreme Court just helped ensure that your elections are just a little more secure.
In a big win for election security proponents and the New Hampshire GOP, the Supreme Court ruled that student ID may not be used as a form of identification at the voter polls.
The Court ruling means that New Hampshire can enforce a full ban on student IDs being accepted in November’s midterms.
According to USA Today, progressive Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson was the only judge to publicly dissent. (Western Journal) Read more here.

Wars And Rumors Of Wars: Is The World Bracing For Something Bigger?

The Middle East is once again holding its breath. Washington and Jerusalem are weighing another strike on Iran. Tehran is warning that any new attack could set the entire region ablaze. American forces are moving, diplomats are leaving, and claims of secret ultimatums and last-minute evacuations are racing across the internet.
Some of those claims may prove wrong. But the atmosphere they describe is real: the world is preparing for a crisis that could spread far beyond Iran.
Iran Is The Flashpoint
Reports say the United States and Israel have drawn up plans for renewed strikes on Iran, possibly after the U.S. midterm elections. The targets under discussion reportedly include Iran’s nuclear facilities, missile and drone forces, and energy infrastructure. Military exercises have included flights over Iraq to practice strike maneuvers. The USS George Washington, operating in the Arabian Sea, has taken on a major delivery of long-range missiles and bunker-buster bombs.
The preparations and public warnings have made one question impossible to ignore: What happens if the bombs start falling again?
President Trump has threatened “another little Epic Fury” and said the United States could “just take all of the oil.” Iran’s answer has been equally stark. Tehran says a new attack would bring a wider war, with American bases, Gulf neighbors, energy sites and civilian infrastructure all potentially in the line of fire.
The threat now extends beyond oil and military targets. Iranian security officials say Tehran has detailed plans to hit undersea cables that carry internet traffic through the Gulf. Iranian officials have also threatened data centers and other U.S.-linked technology sites. A strike that cuts off communications or disrupts banking and online services could make a regional war felt in ways that reach far beyond the battlefield.
A new U.S. intelligence warning adds to the escalation. A memo says Iranian plots against American personnel and citizens have reached “advanced stages.” Washington has ordered non-emergency personnel and their families to leave Saudi Arabia and adjusted staffing at other diplomatic posts. Those moves come as the United States prepares for the possibility that Americans across the region could become targets.
