7,000 Students 'Encounter Jesus in Powerful Ways' At UniteUS Grand Canyon University:

'Revival Is Here'
Leaders and organizers of the UniteUS movement say they saw "lives changed, hearts surrendered, and students encounter Jesus in powerful ways" while sharing the Gospel at Grand Canyon University Tuesday night. Nearly 7,000 students filled Global Credit Union Arena in Phoenix, Arizona, to worship Jesus, hear the Gospel, and have their lives transformed by the love of God, UniteUS reports. "If last night was any glimpse of what's coming, revival is here," the ministry said on Instagram.

UniteUS is an evangelistic college campus movement marked by salvations, water baptisms, and worship, and Tuesday night at the GCU campus was no different. The ministry told CBN News that 4,300 people rededicated their lives to Christ. Fifty-eight made new commitments and 251 decided to be baptized. More than 2,600 people said they are interested in taking part in college ministries, and another 622 wanted to get plugged into a church. "Unite GCU was more than an event; it was a move of God," the leaders wrote. (CBN) Read More Here
Father God, once again we CELEBRATE Your amazing move of Holy Spirit in the hearts of young college students! We rejoice over the 7,000 who heard the gospel and the 4,300 students who rededicated their lives to Christ. We give You all GLORY for the recent commitments to Jesus and for the baptisms at Grand Canyon University! Pour Your favor upon each new believer and bring mentors alongside, to help them walk in the ways of the Lord. Bless UniteUS ministry as they continue to visit college campuses and encourage transformed lives of surrender through salvation in Christ. Bring life-giving Freedom, Joy and Holy Spirit Revival upon the next generations, so they may proclaim Jesus Christ as their One true God! In the Blood and mighty Name of Yeshua, we pray- Amen.

"But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life." (Romans 6:22)

Trump Pulls Plug On Canada Trade Talks Over ‘Fake’ Ad Featuring Ronald Reagan
President Donald Trump ended “all trade negotiations” with Canada on Thursday after Ontario’s government recently launched a $75 million anti-tariff ad campaign targeting Americans and featuring former President Ronald Reagan.
The ad campaign aired in the United States during a playoff baseball game between the Toronto Blue Jays and Seattle Mariners. Game 1 of the World Series takes place Friday night, featuring the Blue Jays and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
It is set to air on major networks across the United States and was developed by Ontario Premier Doug Ford and his provincial administration. Trump responded to the campaign by accusing Canada of trying to interfere with American politics and abruptly ending trade talks.
“The Ronald Reagan Foundation has just announced that Canada has fraudulently used an advertisement, which is FAKE, featuring Ronald Reagan speaking negatively about Tariffs,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “The ad was for $75,000,000. They only did this to interfere with the decision of the U.S. Supreme Court, and other courts. TARIFFS ARE VERY IMPORTANT TO THE NATIONAL SECURITY, AND ECONOMY, OF THE U.S.A. Based on their egregious behavior, ALL TRADE NEGOTIATIONS WITH CANADA ARE HEREBY TERMINATED.” (Daily Wire) Read more here.
Holy Father, we pray that Canada and the United States will find common ground and be at peace with each other in all areas including trade. We know that You are the God of love.

Mystery Trump ally donates $130M to cover troops’ paychecks amid shutdown chaos
The Department of War received an anonymous donation of $130 million Thursday to go toward paying U.S. troops during the government shutdown — but Congress may need to get involved for it to actually get in the hands of service members due to legal limitations.
"On October 23, 2025, the Department of War accepted an anonymous donation of $130 million under its general gift acceptance authority," Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said in a statement to Fox News Digital Friday. "The donation was made on the condition that it be used to offset the cost of Service members' salaries and benefits. We are grateful for this donor's assistance after Democrats opted to withhold pay from troops."
But it’s unclear how the Trump administration can legally use the funds to pay troops without Congress’ involvement.
While the government may accept general donations that go toward general funds available to the government, Congress is the one who must appropriate that money to go toward federal employees’ salaries, according to Romina Boccia, the director of budget and entitlement policy at the Cato Institute, a libertarian think tank in Washington.(Fox News) Read more here.
Thank You, Lord, for this donor who gave the funds to help our troops during the shutdown.

US deploys Ford carrier strike group to combat narco-terror in Western Hemisphere
The Trump administration has ordered the deployment of the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group in the Western Hemisphere as the U.S. continues to target suspected drug smuggling vessels in the Caribbean.
"In support of the President’s directive to dismantle Transnational Criminal Organizations (TCOs) and counter narco-terrorism in defense of the Homeland, the Secretary of War has directed the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group and embarked carrier air wing to the U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) area of responsibility (AOR)," chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said in a statement Friday.
"The enhanced U.S. force presence in the USSOUTHCOM AOR will bolster U.S. capacity to detect, monitor, and disrupt illicit actors and activities that compromise the safety and prosperity of the United States homeland and our security in the Western Hemisphere," he added. "These forces will enhance and augment existing capabilities to disrupt narcotics trafficking and degrade and dismantle TCOs."
USSOUTHCOM's area of responsibility includes the land mass of Latin America south of Mexico, the waters adjacent to Central and South America and the Caribbean Sea.
The strike group includes the USS Gerald R. Ford, the world's largest aircraft carrier, according to the U.S. Navy, as well as the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers USS Mahan, USS Winston S. Churchill and USS Bainbridge.  (Fox News) Read more
Lord, we ask that the Trump administration be allowed to continue actions against the narco-terrorism that has wreaked havoc in the United States. We pray that Your mighty protection surround all of our  troops and pilots that participate in these actions.

Government Shutdown May Scuttle Food Stamps in Many States Come November
Some 42 million Americans who rely on federal food benefits have become the latest political flash point of the government shutdown as November approaches and funding runs out for the nationwide program.
People in the U.S. who rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistant Program (SNAP) — more commonly called “food stamps” in the past — will be those impacted, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) warned in a memo to state agency directors.
The memo, obtained by several news outlets, begins:
As stated in our lapse of appropriation correspondence dated October 1, 2025, SNAP has funding available for benefits and operations through the month of October. However, if the current lapse in appropriations continues, there will be insufficient funds to pay full November SNAP benefits for approximately 42 million individuals across the Nation.

More than two dozen states have warned residents of possible lapses in funding, according to a report by Fox News Digital.
Rev. Eugene Cho, president and CEO of Bread for the World, a nonprofit hunger advocacy group, told Fox Digital the food program “requires about $8 billion each month to fund SNAP benefits nationwide. When there’s no funding it impacts not just pockets of people, but it’s going to impact people all around the country.” (Breitbart) Read more here.
Father, we ask that Your provision be released in these situations. We pray that all people will see Your hand to help and that You will use this opportunity to bring hope and repentance to all.

“If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.” (John 14:14)
FOCUS ON ISRAEL

1. Netanyahu: Israel will set its own red lines on int’l forces deployed under Trump peace plan - JNS

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that Jerusalem will continue to determine its own security policies, including by setting red lines regarding the international forces that will be deployed to stabilize Gaza as part of U.S. President Donald Trump’s peace plan for the Strip.

“Israel will determine which forces are unacceptable to us—that is how we act and we will continue to act,” Netanyahu told fellow ministers at the start of the weekly Cabinet meeting in Jerusalem on Sunday.

“This, of course, is also acceptable to the United States, as its most senior representatives have stated in recent days,” Netanyahu stressed, adding: “Israel is an independent country. We will defend ourselves with our own strength, and we will continue to determine our own destiny.” (Read more)

2. Egyptian team enters Gaza with Israel’s approval to help locate hostages’ remains - Times of Israel

As part of the efforts to recover the remaining 13 slain hostages held in Gaza, an Egyptian team has entered the Strip with several engineering vehicles to assist with locating their bodies, an Israeli defense official said Saturday.

The move was personally approved by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his office told The Times of Israel.

“It is a technical team,” the PMO said. “They are going in only to locate the slain hostages.” (Read more)

3. Israel said to permit Hamas to enter IDF-held areas of Gaza to search for dead hostages - Times of Israel

Red Cross and Egyptian teams were permitted by Israel to search for the bodies of deceased hostages beyond the “Yellow Line” demarcating the military’s pullback in the Gaza Strip, an Israeli government spokesperson said on Sunday.

Another unnamed Israeli official told Hebrew-language media that Hamas representatives had been permitted to enter Israel Defense Forces-controlled areas in Gaza to search for the bodies, alongside the Egyptian and Red Cross teams.

Hamas claims it has not yet been able to locate the bodies of some of the remaining 13 hostages, and has not returned any bodies since Tuesday. However, Israel is reportedly “certain” the terror group can hand over more bodies but is refusing to do so, and is also holding back information about their location, in a direct breach of the October 9 hostage-ceasefire agreement. (Read more)

4. IDF kills Hezbollah commander in Southern Lebanon - JNS

The Israel Defense Forces on Saturday killed Hezbollah terrorist Zayn al-Abidin Hussein Fatouni in an airstrike in the area of Jibchit in Southern Lebanon.

According to the military, Hussein commanded an anti-tank unit within Hezbollah’s Radwan Force and had recently been involved in efforts to rebuild the group’s terrorist infrastructure.

“These activities constituted a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon,” the IDF said, referring to the Nov. 26, 2024 ceasefire agreement that ended more than a year of fighting between Israel and Hezbollah. (Read more

5. Europe warns IDF offensive in Lebanon 'only a matter of time' - Israel Hayom

European sources told Sky News Arabic that a large-scale Israeli attack on Lebanon could be only a matter of time, adding "it's unclear how Israel will proceed with Lebanon in such a scenario."

Just Thursday, the Lebanese newspaper Al-Diyar, which is close to Hezbollah, reported that the Bekaa region faces a major threat of military escalation that would strike the terrorist organization's centers. At the same time, a Lebanese security official said that Hezbollah has decided to respond to any Israeli ground attack directly.

The security official predicted an imminent security escalation by Israel. However, the official claimed that Hezbollah today is more immune than it was before the 2024 northern front war.

Just Thursday, the IDF struck several terrorist targets belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the Bekaa region of Lebanon using Israeli Air Force aircraft. Among the targets struck was a camp used for training terrorists from the Hezbollah terrorist organization, where terrorists from the organization were identified. (Read more)

1. Trump team urges Oregon judge to end restraining order blocking National Guard - Fox News

The Trump administration urged a federal judge during a hearing in Oregon on Friday to terminate a restraining order and clear the way for the government to deploy National Guard troops in Portland.
The administration argued to Judge Karin Immergut that a higher court had already greenlit President Donald Trump’s use of the National Guard there. Immergut, a Trump appointee, said she would decide by Monday whether to toss out her order.
"[I’ll be] working as fast as I can to get a decision that honors the 9th Circuit decision but also takes into account some of the new arguments and new information that’s been provided," Immergut said.
The Trump administration has remained blocked from deploying the reserved troops to support the president’s law enforcement crackdown in Portland, a liberal haven that Trump claims is rife with illegal immigrants, street crime and threats to federal law enforcement. (Read more)
Lord, we pray that this court will reverse the former decision so that the citizens in Portland can dwell in safety.

“In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.” (Psalm 4:8)

2. Federal Court Crushes Biden-Era HHS Rule Forcing Hospitals to Perform Sex Changes- Breitbart

A federal court this week struck a death blow to a Biden-era rule that reinterpreted discrimination law to include “gender identity,” forcing hospitals to perform sex changes.
Judge Louis Guirola Jr. sided with a coalition of 15 states on Wednesday against a Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) rule put forward in 2024 redefining unlawful sex discrimination under Title IX and the Affordable Care Act (ACA) to include discrimination on the basis of “gender identity.” The rule would have specifically required health care providers to provide sex change drugs and surgeries to transgender-identifying patients and would have forced states to fund the procedures through their Medicaid programs.
Guirola granted a summary judgment in favor of the coalition of states, ruling that HHS “exceeded its authority by implementing regulations redefining sex discrimination and prohibiting gender identity discrimination.”
“Agencies do not have unlimited power to accomplish their policy preferences until Congress stops them; they have only the powers that Congress grants through a textual commitment of authority,” wrote Guirola, an appointee of President George W. Bush. “Neither Defendants nor this Court have authority to reinterpret or expand the meaning of ‘sex’ under Title IX.”  (Read more)

Thank You, Lord for this ruling. We pray that “gender identity” will no longer be used in any laws across the nation. We bind this lie tightly and ask that Your Power bring repentance to all who have been its victims or its proponents.

“Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment.” (Prov.12:19)

3. AG Pam Bondi Warns Pelosi, Democrats for Threatening ICE Officers – Breitbart

Top administration officials are warning Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, and other wealthy Democratic Party politicians they face arrest if they resist the federal enforcement of Congress’s deportation laws.
“You cannot disclose the identity of a federal agent, where they live [or of] anything that can harm them,” Attorney General Pam Bondi said late Thursday, after the Democrats threatened to arrest or expose officers in the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE).
“Pelosi got a letter today from Deputy Attorney General Toddd Blanche. So did Brooke Jenkins, that DA [District Attorney] in San Francisco,” Bondi said.
“We will not tolerate threats to arrest federal agents engaged in enforcing immigration laws enacted by Congress,” warned Acting U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli. “If you touch our agents, you’ll be arrested,” said Essayli, who is the top Justice Department official in Central California and Los Angeles.
The DOJ response came after Pelosi threatened ICE agents. (Read more)

Holy Father, we pray for the safety and protection of our law enforcement agents against the lies and danger. We take Your authority against the plans of politicians and leftists to harm them and ask that You stop this hatred.

“The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.” (Proverbs 8:13)

4. Nearly all Republican AGs add firepower to Trump's birthright citizenship push- Fox News

Nearly all Republican attorneys general asked the Supreme Court on Friday to side with President Donald Trump in his fight to curtail birthright citizenship, offering a wide show of support for one of the president’s most controversial agenda items.
The 24 states, led by Iowa’s Brenna Bird and Tennessee’s Jonathan Skrmetti, argued in an amicus brief that the 14th Amendment, which addresses birthright citizenship, was not designed to give automatic citizenship to babies born to mothers living in the country illegally or temporarily visiting.
The state attorneys wrote that they have a unique interest in seeing birthright citizenship limited because it incentivizes illegal immigration, which they said has negatively affected their states.
"Recent years have seen an influx of illegal aliens — over 9 million — overwhelming our nation’s infrastructure and its capacity to assimilate," they wrote, adding that their states therefore face "significant economic, health, and public-safety issues from policies holding out a ‘powerful incentive for illegal migration,’ … beyond what the Citizenship Clause requires." (Read more)

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for these Republican Attorneys General. We ask that the Trump administration prevail in the birthright citizenship issue to prevent abuse of US immigration laws.

“Drive out a scoffer, and strife will go out, and quarreling and abuse will cease.” (Proverbs 22: 10)

5. ‘We Follow The Money’: Kash Patel Says Alleged NBA Ties To Mafia Just ‘The Start’ Of FBI Investigation- Daily Caller

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel said Thursday on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” that the announcement of multiple National Basketball Association (NBA) figures’ alleged ties to the mafia and game-fixing are just “the start” of the agency’s probe.
During a press conference Thursday, the FBI announced the arrest and charges of over 30 people, including a current player and coach, in connection with criminal schemes allegedly involving sports betting and money laundering. While speaking to Patel, Fox’s Laura Ingraham asked the FBI director what viewers need to know about the announcement of the charges, stating it almost sounded like “a movie script.”
“It’s simple, we follow the money. And look, while the NBA is a piece of this, they are just a piece of that. And what the American people should know is this FBI has no business in being the morality police,” Patel said. “We are the police and the enforcement of the laws. If you break the law, we’re coming for you, whether you play in the NBA, coach the NBA.”
“And these individuals got in bed with La [Cosa] Nostra and four of the five major crime families in New York City to create gambling empires, to rob people of their money, to extort people, to commit acts of wire fraud, to rig games and poker games and basketball games just so they can make a few extra bucks,” the FBI director added. (Read more)

Lord, we pray for a mighty move of repentance across all sports. We also pray for accountability to the Mafia that these crimes would cease in cities across the nation. We ask Your protection for law enforcement as they investigate these crimes.

“For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler  and from the deadly pestilence.  He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.” (Psalm 91: 3-4)
6. D.C. Construction Is A Problem For Regular People. Democrats Said Nothing Until The East Wing Was Touched – The Federalist

It’s so on brand for Democrats and the dying news media to insist everyone suddenly pay attention to a thing that has no bearing on ordinary Americans, while at the same time ignoring a very similar thing that actually does.
For anyone who hasn’t heard, it’s apparently a national crisis that President Trump is revamping portions of the White House, most notably an entire reconstruction of the East Wing into an immense ballroom and event area. CNN and MSNBC are practically running 24-7 coverage of the project and are very fond of repeating the word “demolition,” as are The New York Times and Washington Post.

“Trump Is Demolishing the Entire East Wing.” — Times
“Stephen Colbert Tears Into the White House Demolition.” — Times
“Why the demolition of the East Wing is so shocking.” — Post
“Trump defends East Wing demolition, raises ballroom price to $300 million.” — Post

Whether any of these people are seriously distraught over a government building’s renovation is beside the point. More important is that once again, they’re showing how manifestly uninterested they are in problems regular people face every day, while obsessing over an issue when it’s something that directly affects their own decadent lifestyles. (Read more)

Father, we pray that this outrage will cease, since the White House has been renovated and changed by many presidents. We ask that repentance come to those who continually use everything President Trump does as a point of contention and hate.

“The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.” (Acts 17:30)

Annunciation shooting survivor Sophia Forchas released from hospital after 'miraculous recovery'

The girl who was left critically hurt after being shot in the head when a gunman opened fire into Annunciation Church was released from the hospital on Thursday, nearly two months after the mass shooting.

Sophia released from hospital

What we know
A crowd of supporters lined the sidewalk outside Hennepin County Medical Center on Thursday morning as Forchas was released from the hospital. Forchas had been treated at HCMC and most recently was undergoing rehab at Gillette Children's.
Onlookers held banners reading "Happy Birthday Sophia" and "Sophia Strong."
Sophia was greeted with hugs, cheers and applause outside the hospital.

'Miraculous recovery'
The backstory
Family have said that Forchas' recovery has been nothing short of a miracle since she was shot on Aug. 27. Forchas, then 12, was struck in the head by a rifle round and left in critical condition.
The family said doctors told them Sophia was on the brink of death when she came to the hospital. After the shooting, she needed extensive surgery, including having part of her skull removed to release pressure from swelling, and was placed in a medically-induced coma.  (Fox 5 - MN) Read more here.

Holy God of miracles, we give You praise for this young girl’s miraculous recovery. We thank You for all the prayers lifted to You on her behalf. We ask that this gift of life have no aftereffects, in a testimony to Your Strength and Love.

Thailand, Cambodia reach ceasefire deal to end conflict that displaced 260K, Trump says
White House press secretary calls for Nobel Peace Prize after president uses trade leverage to end deadly border conflict

Thailand and Cambodia reached a ceasefire deal "through trade," President Donald Trump announced Monday, ending a burgeoning conflict that displaced 260,000 people.

The declaration from Trump comes after he said over the weekend that he had spoken to the leaders of Cambodia and Thailand, urging a ceasefire, adding the U.S. would not get back to the "trading table" with the southeast Asian countries until fighting stops.

The fighting began Thursday after a land mine explosion along the border wounded five Thai soldiers. Both sides blamed each other for starting the clashes that have killed at least 35 people and displaced more than 260,000 people on both sides.

"Numerous people were killed and I was dealing with two countries that we get along with very well, very different countries from certain standpoints. They've been fighting for 500 years intermittently. And, we solved that war ... we solved it through trade," Trump told reporters during his trip to Scotland. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Father God, once again our President, Donald Trump, has successfully assumed the role of peacemaker in this conflict between Thailand and Cambodia. In less than a week, 260,000 citizens in both nations have been displaced, and 35 killed. We offer You praise, Holy One, for the gift of peacemaking that You have given President Trump.

- "Blessed are the peacemakers,
For they shall be called sons of God."

I'm a Christian from Niger. Don’t ignore horrifying attacks on African Christians

When noted religious skeptic and TV host Bill Maher highlighted the plight of Christians in Nigeria in September during a conversation with South Carolina Republican Rep. Nancy Mace, he raised a conversation that’s been an ongoing tension for many of us in the humanitarian space: the conflicts that cause the greatest suffering don’t always correlate to the greatest attention.

Reflecting on the atrocities taking place in Nigeria, Maher bemoaned on the show: "This is so much more of a genocide attempt than what’s going on in Gaza. They are literally attempting to wipe out the Christian population of an entire country. Where are the kids protesting this?"

Here’s the thing: Gazans' suffering is legitimate. Just as Israel’s suffering on Oct. 7, 2023, and beyond was legitimate. And also, so is the suffering in Sudan and Yemen and Syria and Nigeria. What differs is the attention we bestow and our willingness to sit in the complexities and discomfort necessary to come to lasting solutions.

I grew up in Niger. I spent my childhood in the Sahel region in a time when a Christian in a Muslim-majority region could expect to live in relative peace and optimism. Growing up, I knew many mixed-faith Nigerian families that lived in harmony. As a nation and as a region, we had hope. The promises of the green revolution, trade and the West African economic community caused us to anticipate a trajectory of growth.

Being a Christian in Nigeria is no longer a simple matter. Jihadist organizations, including Boko Haram, have exercised religiously implicated killings over the last 16 years, massacring 125,009 Christians and over 60,000 "liberal" Muslims who do not share the extremist views of the prevailing groups. In that time, 19,100 churches have been sacked. Now, according to Open Doors, more Christians are killed for their faith in Nigeria than anywhere else in the world, combined, even though Nigeria is seventh out of the top 50 countries known for persecution of Christians.

Across sub-Saharan Africa, 16.2 million Christians have had to leave their homes, including a large number of Nigerians. For Nigerians, this often means living as displaced persons in Chad. (Fox News) Read more here.

- Lord God, we are so grieved when we read the reports of the hundreds of thousands of Christians who have been slaughtered in Nigeria. We ask, dear Lord, that You would draw the attention of the Trump administration to this disaster, and that they be given Your wisdom to know how to intervened and bring a peaceful resolution to this complicated and dangerous mess. Come, Lord Jesus, come we pray, amen and amen!

- "Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert."

Air traffic controllers ‘wearing thin’ ahead of first missed paycheck
https://www.breitbart.com/news/air-traffic-controllers-wearing-thin-ahead-of-first-missed-paycheck/

Already short-staffed air traffic controllers are feeling the strains of the nearly month-long government shutdown, and will not be paid this week as the government shutdown continues.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy warned on Sunday that air traffic controllers are “wearing thin,” with 22 air traffic controller staffing triggers occurring at airports across the country on Saturday.

The triggers are an internal alert to signal when staffing levels fall below safe or acceptable limits for operations.

“They get a notice of what they’re going to be paid on Tuesday, and they got a big fat zero. No paycheck is coming on Tuesday, and so I’ve been out talking to our air traffic controllers, and you can see the stress,” Duffy told host Maria Bartiromo on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” show.

Many controllers are calling out sick, missing work or taking second jobs to make ends meet as the government shutdown has stretched on for 26 days — making it the longest shutdown in U.S. history.

“These are people that oftentimes live paycheck to paycheck, or one controller has a stay-at-home spouse,” Duffy said. “They’re concerned about gas in the car. They’re concerned about childcare and mortgages. And so, I’m seeing the stress come for the controllers.” (Breitbart) Read more here.

- Lord God, this report is so distressing! Not only is the shutdown now directly impacting the lives of our precious air traffic controllers and their families, but even the very lives of our traveling public will now be in some danger. Once again, Holy One, we turn to You to make a way where there seems to be no way for this shutdown to END, and for the Democrats to finally yield their stubborn position and place the good of our nation ahead of their own selfish demands. In Your Name, Abba, we offer this prayer, amen and amen!

- (Regarding the stubbornness of the Democrats) In the Name of Jesus, we bind stubborness and loose grace. "“I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:19)

- For the air traffic controllers:

"Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert."

(Isaiah 43:19)
And Now . . . Lion of Judah: ROAR!!!!
"The Lord shall go forth like a mighty man;
He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war.
He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud;
He shall prevail against His enemies."

(Isaiah 42:13)

Hurricane Melissa threatens to bring catastrophic flooding, landslides to Jamaica, Haiti

Hurricane Melissa strengthened into a major Category 4 hurricane on Sunday, unleashing torrential rain and threatening to bring flash flooding and landslides to the northern Caribbean, the Miami-based National Hurricane Center said.

The center said those impacts could be "life-threatening and catastrophic" for parts of Haiti and Jamaica, especially as Melissa was potentially forecast to intensify further into a Category 5 storm.

The weather agency added that Melissa is likely to reach the southern coast of Jamaica as a major hurricane late Monday or Tuesday morning, and urged people on the island to seek shelter immediately.

"Conditions (in Jamaica) are going to go down rapidly today," Jamie Rhome, the center's deputy director, said on Sunday. "Be ready to ride this out for several days."

Melissa could be the most powerful hurricane to hit Jamaica, CBS News Philadelphia meteorologist Andrew Kozak said Saturday.

"I urge Jamaicans to take this weather threat seriously," said Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness. "Take all measures to protect yourself."

Melissa was expected to drop torrential rains of up to 30 inches on Jamaica and southern Hispaniola — Haiti and the Dominican Republic — according to the hurricane center. Some areas may see as much as 40 inches of rain. (CBS News) Read More
